I agree! We NEED to move toward performance based pay in all areas and industries, starting with the government and our elected officials, then moving to all the bailed out companies... but since I can't worry about that happening, I can start with me!
  • Fernando Lopez Agel
Well, yes. how can I disagree with what me myself have been doing while I´ve been working for a corporation as sales manager. Since 2002 I´ve been trying and getting along with reducing my sales force fixed salaries and changing it into a bonus based type. Putting it straight: "so much you generate for the company so much you get in return... and tomorrow is a completely new day in which whatever you did tyesterday has no importance at all".
And then, the fact was that as my team was getting this idea and we were getting past the numbers the owner fixed for all of us... he started saying that we were getting to much... Hell, we were getting what we were generating. That was the main reason I quitted and started my own bussiness as a coach for sales people.
Then the situation, at least in Spain, led me to trying to find new alternatives and network marketing appeared as a new possibility. that´s why I´m here. Learning as much as I can... Thank you for sharing your know how and experience.
    I´m Agel.

I agree greatly with this video since I did my research before and had found this same result.
  • April Clawson
I agree with you, people realize they have to improve or they are the next one gone from their job.
  • Cliff Lapenskie
What we have to offer is what is needed by so many people. We just have to get out of out comfort zones, improve our skills and get talking to more people. We DO have a better way!
  • heatherbrocklehurst
I remember being intrigued by this message when you first introduced it. Today I believe it is even more relevant. I have seen more and more people coming to this realization. This should be a network marketing heyday!
  • nelsonmontanez
I agree with your prediction of a performance based economy. Those of us who are currently working on our skills to becoming the network marketing professionals will have such an advantage when more people start looking at this industry with more interest. Thanks for all you do Eric.
  • Very interesting Eric personally I don't believe the world is ready for what you have described here if what you say comes to light many will not like it at all. Its been a while now but years ago when in college I worked part-time for a company that paid using this 'performance based' idea you are speaking about now. I was very young at that time all I knew than was that for 2 hours a day all I had to do was process say 600 pieces and I would be paid $250 for the day was enough for a young college student having to do that 2-3 days out of the week was nice.

Today I am not sure that would work, for some it may but for the majority I am not so sure. Great stuff.

Good Morning, great stuff. I am learning so much from you Eric. By learning new skills, I add value to my life, which will enable me to pass on to my team that I am developing. I never thought of Network Marketing as a profession, rather, it was never introduced to me as one. I am "eligible to retire from my current job in 3 years, (55), so ffor the next three years I am going to learn all that I can so when the time comes, I will be a bonafide Network Marketing Professional. Thank You!
  • Eric, I always find your shows to be so informative. I know that more and more people are seeing NWM in a positive light and more people than ever are now open to hearing about it. Everyone is on a level playing field and it is such a wonderful way to help others!! I love it!!!

You're so right Eric! I decided to join Network Marketing just barely 6 months ago and still learning the skills in building my organization fast. I'm so thankful I've found this show because it helps me shorten the learning curve. Thanks to people like you for sharing what you know about the business.
  • Capitalism is the ethical and objective guide thru the new economy...Yes network marketing is about as close as possible an example of capitalism and free market economy we can find in the world today. Wealth protection of our production and performance is very important and it is so nice to be part of a NM team that sells 'wealth protection'. Check out my wealth protection team at:

A year ago I would have said, "Very interesting perspective Eric." Yet today I say, "How right you are!" What great insite and forward thinking you have. Thanks!
  • davidblood
Eric, From TPN I know that personal development with MLM are huge passions for you. I just found this site and what a pleasure it is to get plugged into your training again. I have found an opportunity that I am committed to treating like a pro, there is great training there, this site and your training will make a great compliment to it. I absolutely agree with what you say in this video.
  • Erik
Sunday afternoon. I started yesterday from the start. Great to see this show again.
  • Jon Wright
You nailed it Eric. As always. I came across your site only a few weeks ago and what a surprise. Fantastic is the word and you have something to inspire anyone and everyone who is considering or already in this wonderful business.
On all fronts you are bringing us insights and wisdom that without your site would be very difficult if not impossible to obtain from so many different people.
Many thanks for all you do and keep it up.
  • ChiTownRich
    Hey Eric,

I think you are absolutely right about the way the economy is and with your predictions. It just sounds like common sense. As things start to become harder within this current economy (ppl losing unemployment, failing buying power of the dollar, and constant pressures to perform in the workforce) people will definitely shift from looking at our industry in a negative light to seeing it as you put it as, "a way out." Many successful people I've read/spoke to have said the greatest shifts in fortunes are during economic downturns and I believe we (within the industry) are in a tremendous place to see the vision of this, and seize it. Love your show and site and I plan to watch every video you have so I may also turn Pro! Thanks..
  • Yes Eric, I think you are full of it, full of some great ideas and insights :)

Your prediction that we are moving to a performanced based economy is spot on. Your example of how corporate employee wages are held back, capped, even in a performance environment is exactly right because I have seen it in action.
  • Miguel Cortez
This the four time i listen to this .... it doesnt get old..... :)
  • NO EXCUSES! You get what you put in. It doesn't matter the reason.
  • miabelladiva7
I agree with you 100%. Thank you so much for putting the reality of things out there, because this is truly happening right now. I will forward this segment to everyone that I know. Once again, thanks Eric!
  • I entered the business a few months ago and I was blown away with the possibilities. I had so many habits to transform into positive actions: I wondered where I could find a mentor...My life is changing faster than ever and one of the most powerful reasons was being introduced to NMPRO, last July.
Even if you think you know what you are doing, Eric, you are just scratching the tiny top of the iceberg.
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
  • This is perfect! Concise and to the point. All crucial factors in the new economy and benefits of being in the network marketing business covered.

Whacks you with the magic marketing wand... yelling... "POOF... you were a Network Marketing Professional yesterday!!! What you gonna do today?

Eric, I entered the NWM biz about a month ago. I am in direct sales w/ a big firm, 57, feeling there's a big target on my back. I know itz the rite time to get 'in' to NWM. I've been too much of a perfectionist, but I am committing myself to LEARN this bizness from 'scratch'. I am taking your advice of listening to all the past tapes, etc., as there is a lot to learn, and keep learning.

Thanks so much for your dedication to this bizness, it's truly appreciated!

    All the best,
    Mike [a NWM Pro-in-learning]
  • Wise words. I have seen a lot of the changes you talk about being introduced by stealth into the public and private sector business of the UK. It's an obvious next step for an over-regulated, control based society that rewards compliance rather than innovation.

Far better to work within a system where you can see the rules and know exactly what you have to do to be rewarded.
  • KeithN
Great information here, Eric. The economic landscape is changing faster than is comfortable for most people. Yet, many are reluctant to embrace Network Marketing due to misguided preconceptions or perhaps a poor experience. It's also challenging to break the chains of an employee mentality, and transition to an entrepreneur mindset.

It is imperative that we as network marketers, outgrow the hobby/lottery mentality and treat our opportunity as an actual profession. Forums such has this are essential in enhancing the integrity of the business.

Thank you for this very informative video. I am currently part of a Network Marketing company (my first) with a product that I believe in and a company that supports it's distributors. I agree with you on the state of the economy and am aware that NM is a way to, not only weather the storm, but to come out on the other side as a successful professional with a long term income if one has the proper training and is willing to apply oneself. I am willing to do the work and am working on the training.
  • I wish I could get this to play on the TV...how? :) Thanks.

  • I'm new to network marketing coming from a totally different profession, and I'm so glad to have found your site, Eric! The information, advice and inspiration is proving to be invaluable as I learn to be a first-class professional in my new career. Thanks!
  • Margaret
I am so grateful that I have found your group! I have many things that I do but training and life coaching was my basis. Then I ran into some health challanges, and I found I had my own MonSter. This wiped my old life away like the tides do a sand castle. Finding that you are here is bringing me back. I came in at #94, but I am going to take some time to play catch up today. Just to find out what is here and where I think it can lead me.
Thanks to you, Eric, I think I will be okay again.
  • Seth
    Eric,
This show is right on. I am completely inspired. I get it. Something I thought of today was there is no reason why I can not do this, I will do this. I will become a network marketing pro. So I want to thank you for your inspiration and leadership. What people need is sincerity and leaders who are willing to help not so they can get but who truly have a servant heart. How can I not succeed if I am helping others to succeed. We must present a better image for this profession. Thanks for what you are doing.
  • destrie
I totally agree with everything that youve been discussing Eric. I am totally grateful that I stumbled into the Network Marketing industry and your website. I am currently working on my skill sets to succeed in this industry and have already made the decision to become a Network Marketing Pro.

Thank you for creating this wonderful resource for people like me aspiring to become successful in this industry.
  • I absolutely agree with everything that you said. A friend and I were both cut from our company. The company took a hit, but freed up almost 200k in total overhead (salary, taxes, benefits and all that jazz). The company continues to run, and it sent messages to their entire staff. If they can get cut, anyone can. They work harder, and are stretched to the limit.

As I was being let go, they were talking about implementing an end of year bonus type system, to be tacked onto base pay for the current job classification. I ran into an article online a few weeks ago that talked about the performance based jobs and salaries, and I've been asking friends about it too. Some companies are restructuring this way, and taking advantage of the economy to make the push.

I'm in the industry, and I absolutely love it. It's funny that when you think of what we do, it's the exact same premise as facebook, and myspace except we get to share in the revenue with our partner company. I think that once people really stop, take a look, and listen to what our industry offers, how we put it together, and how it works, the smart ones figure out that it's a good deal.
  • osama
i am very happy to be a part of this industry, and to see, now people like you Eric that has the ability to coach people and redefine or rechape their entire thoughts about the industry.
  • Nowadays it's easier to keep a good mindset with training such as this. Network marketing has been difficult in recent years for most people new to the industry but I can't believe people actually want a 40 hr job. Now with leaders training such as this people are getting the skills that never could have ever been imagined. Lead generation, utube, seo and social sites. Even though I prefer network marketing over a 40 hr job getting people to buy from newbies instead of somebody else such as Eric or Randy is still a growing process. The newbie can get a few in a business but not much more unless this training gets really deep into lead generation and branding yourself as an expert in all forms of network marketing. Even if it takes months to learn. When a newbie gets just as many second and third visits on his website as a top earner we will know we have found the answer. Online networking cannot be left out. Having a network marketing business is great especially today but the team still has to make money and know they are on a path to education in network marketing. The average person still doesn't attract like a doctor or professional business person. Everybody should be able to attract people to their business. Everybody down to the last distributor. Great video Eric. I am Agel

Thanks Eric for redefining what I am, a Network Marketing Professional! I am very new to this business and I like what you said about shifting the way network marketing is viewed, it IS an exciting business to be in! I have always gravitated towards improving myself, in any way I can. This is opening up a new door for me to improve my skills that I can use not only in my business but every day in my life! I look forward to watching the rest of your shows!
  • I agree. For those looking at the Network Marketing industry make sure to do your homework. It can be a very rewarding profession if it's worked like a real business.

    Eric,

Spoken like a TRUE Pro! It's definitely time for people to make a change in this uncertain economy. Job security is officially a thing of the past! It's up to US as network marketing professionals to rise to the occasion and save this world.

I totally agree with what you had to say about this subject of a changing economy and where network marketing fits in. its our job to bring this great business of network marketing to the world. thanks Eric for starting this website and for being in this business.

    Ben Couchman
  • I frickin' love it! Brilliant information and very relevant. Great work!
  • Eric, that is very well said. It has taken me years to see that of all the businesses that I have been and am involved in, this is the only one that performs year in and year our in spite of economic conditions. We are on the threshohold of another huge jump in NWM and are about to 'level up'. It's also the right time to bring professionalism to our industry so that people see it for what it truly is. A performance based ethical business that treats all people equally and fairly and compensates them for the value they bring to the marketplace.
We will see whole NWM companies just disappear in this new economy as people move to embrace only those companies that have good leadership, good products or services, fair comp plans, and good training and support. Do your homework people...choose wisely...and work it like a business...you will be rewarded.
    Thank you Eric.
  • Stas, I think we are all very lucky here to have Eric sharing this with us for FREE. There's no magic pill or secret tip to make it all happen and it requires time also, give yourself the time to learn and the time to succeed : )
  • Stas Prokofiev
Very good video, i totally agree with Eric.
However I have been in network marketing for 4 months and have yet to make any returns. This does include me studying the industry and how to try and work the industry, but all i come across is these so called gurus who charge to teach you anything. Why doesnt somebody do it for free and then charge the person when they have made money??
Eric my question to you why do you not teach people directly how to make it work?
    Thanks
  • Harry
    Hi Eric,
listen, I wholeheartedly agree with what you are saying. But I need to comment on something. I think the idea behind a performance based economy is pretty much right on, but I think that one needs to understand that you are in business for your self to begin with. No matter, MLM or any other form, you are in it for yourself, it is your business, it is your new company even if you call it Me, Inc, or whatever.

By and large, a salesperson employed by a company is in a business for him or herself. And yes, you are right, to a successful salesperson, there are or will be, caps on how much they can make. And that's no good, and a wonderful reason to consider MLM.

However, if a given MLM program is top heavy, i.e., the product itself, or the payment schedule is so designed that it favors the very top of the organization, or those people who sign on at the very early stage. Often what happens, the product itself, while probably a fine product by any measure, simply becomes too expensive to really be marketable to large crowds. I have looked at some of the high quality (presumably) vitamin products within different MLM organizations, and found that typically, they will easily cost up to 10 times the amount what you can buy the same vitamin for, let's say from a high quality discount store.

The thing is, our customers are becoming better and better educated, and while they might totally agree with our point on vitamin C, and that it needs to be of high quality, they will not pay 10 times, or even 3 times the amount for it, if they do not have to. Now, if your product is totally unique, and patented or something, that helps or could even be deceive, but often, that is not the case. It's just hype for the most part, customers will smell it soon enough(to wit; big extravagant events around the world) and the challenge is not a challenge anymore, it's an uphill that will put most of the people on the wayside.

We need to get real about the products, and their marketability, we need to figure this out from bottom-up, not the other way around.

Nothing wrong with MLM, or even just being in a business for yourself, (it's all the same anyway) because just like you Eric, I think that is the way of the future, so might as well get used to it.

  • I agree with everything you siad and I'm so happy that you have created a resource such as this for the entire Network Marketing Community. I LOVE Network Marketing! It was only a matter of time before things shifted to a performance based economy. I love it because it puts everyting in perspective. You get paid for what you are worth. You want to get paid more, become worth more. I love that Network Marketing is a great avenue for people to learn new skills while earning money. I agree we all step up as Professionals and help everyone who is new to find the life of freedom that Network Marketing offers.

I will follow and share this site with everyone I know.

Thank you Eric & God Bless!

  • Randy Hendrickson
Eric, I also agree with you. I thank you very much for your time. I will follow you and all other leaders in this profession, so I may also help others.
    Thank You
    Randy
  • Eric:

I think this is a great web site. I am new to MLM and am really looking forward to getting you info each day. Thanks for your knowledge and willingness to share it.
  • I agree with what you have said, In fact Dave Ramsey already does this and has in fact been doing a proformance based company since he started. There is only a handful of people out of over 200 in his organization that are on a salary or hourly rate. I believe he starts a low hourly and then gives raises based on proformance. In other words "Your raise is afective when you are!" Thank you Eric for this video and look forward to the next.
  • This was a great enlightening start to my day as a network marketing professional. I am an older person who is new to the nwm profession, am honing the skills necessary to become the best I can be to share this with as many people as possible and this has been a wonderful inspiration to my day.
I do so appreciate all you do to help those of us willing to learn.
  • Noel Annert
Eric, Thanks for the wonderful presentation.
    Regards Noel.
  • Eric, you read my mind today. Thanks so much. You are providing a great service to all.
  • I absolutely agree. We are going to change the world, assuming a new professional approach to this activity! Thank You!
  • Now that was AWESOME !!!! Thank you !!!!
  • Its exciting times because I think we could all see the old ways times are up. The traditional capatalist structures built on taking advantage of other peoples' needs, and the stink of greed and undeserved power polluting and manipulating the economic world and our lives ... it had to self-destruct sooner or later. It couldn't continue so out of balance for much longer. This is the healing purge the world so desparately needs- and out of it the fair restructuring, fair redistribution of opportunity and wealth will be possible. I reckon we're on the leading edge of a revolutionary concept in new business models, we've just got to also purge the rot from the old style NM. Why don't we give it a new name - along with the new image? We're wanting to revamp our profession's identity - why use the old labels which evoke bad images? Any ideas anyone? I'm going to brainstorm some new names/descriptions for my profession. Even though we always have to deal with people coming up with..."o, you mean one of those pyramid schemes" or ..."o, you mean Network Marketing,- that's where you make lots of money by cashing in on what eagre new people below you sell for you, isn't it?" - etc and we do have to be ready to explain the misunderstanding - lets explain it as a revolutionary business model that is based on fairness and freedom from the "System". Ideas anyone...?
  • I LOVE waking up each morning and tapping into everything that you have put together for us, Eric!
It heightens my confidence and empowers me to get out there everyday and put the Network Marketing message out! We ALL should be shouting this from the roof tops...let people make a proper informed decision about this industry! YOU ROCK...WE ALL ROCK...LETS ROCK THIS WORLD!!
  • The media has been spoon feeding the public for so long! You are setting the example of how we in the Network Marketing industry of how to present the alternative to the doom an gloom! This is the antedote!
  • Yes Eric, you are full of it - and it's brilliant!

Congratulations on the launch of a great forum and information channel, I love the sentiment behind it and, having been in and around this industry for almost 20 years, I believe that the way in which we all rise to the challenge of becoming network marketing professionals, as you've outlined it, will literally change the perception and standing of the profession for ever.

As Randy Gage says, the old economic model is broken and we need a new plan. Network Marketing is the future for those who desire freedom from the greed and incompetence of those who we've trusted to govern us and safeguard our interests for so long!

I'm really impressed with the quality of the product you've come up with - what a great start; once again well done!

    Howard Crosse (UK)

This quite brilliant Eric, but am not sure about the coporate world becoming a performance based environment. Because if that happens they will be increased unemployment in the economy, due to the fact that there arent that many ambitious people out there. We live in the Western World, its a designed comfy environent were everythins is on the plate for us, so its natural for people not to strecth themselves and become perfomance based.

On the other note love what you are doing.

Hi Eric, you are so right on!!!! I work for a major bank (Fortune ranked recently the top 15 to work for) as a business banker and in the last two and half years that I been with the company I seen a lots of employees (some are my friends) let go and the pressure to generate more sales goal are so stressful to obtain. Don't get me wrong I think the company is great but the traditional business model does not work anymore. As a business banker I seen both major changes within the company and the business owners I worked with daily around the world. I services on average about sixty per day business owners from mom and pop to millions plus major corporation. Most of them are struggling (mainly keeping their head above water on credit cards debt) and keeping their figures cross hoping things will get better soon. You are a genius starting this revolution and working together I hope everyone will hear your messeges and how great this industry is! Thank you for all you do.

The world is grateful to have you around as a leader, mentor and a friend.

    Dear Eric,
My name is Talya Mitzafon from Israel. I'm very exited to host you in my home. I already decided to be a proffesional on networkmarketing. I already learn a lot from you in the last 12 month. I'll be looking forword to the daily meeting with you, I know that those meetings will help me to become a proffesional, to build my big organisation and to teach my partners to do the same.
Thank you very much, bless you.
  • Eric - Your points about the performance based economy are accurate. I think another major shift is in the core beliefs of the majority of Americans about what is security and what we can count on - what and who can we trust. There was a time when the ideal path was you went to school, secured a good education, found a big corporation where you could work for forty years then claim your ring and "guaranteed pension," no more! So what can you depend on? Yourself, your skills and your opportunities - these are the only things you control.

    Great topic!

    Eric,
Terrific job and worth the wait! Can't wait to discuss these ideas and vision for the future of Network Marketing as the NEW Profession and how to bring this information in an educational format. BRAVO!
  • Deborah
Where I am in Australia there is little work, people are not spending, people are cautious. I was sceptical about Network Marketing; I did my homework & have recently joined the growing crowd. As Eric states it will be the way of the future to ensure financial independence, however the mindset of people is a worry. I hope to help alot of people turn their life around for the better, through network marketing.
  • Thanks a lot Eric for your smart advice about the future (long and short term). I think that the people that have experience in network marketing are in a best position to face the challenge of the future. In fact, the best way to acquire skills and tool to deal with crisis (this one or any other in the future) is developing a consistent and hard works in network marketing. Even for people who do not work in this industry. Because the skills required to survive in the new paradigm with this new set of rules of the economy, are the same that has everyone who work efficiently in network marketing.
  • Eric,

I'm retired military and currently work for the government (US). What's really scary is that parts of the government has recently gone to a "Pay for Performance" system! Safe government jobs? Those days may be long gone.

Eric, I love this concept...it's been long overdue. I agree that the economy is shifting and the sooner you realize and accept it the fast you can adapt to opportunities within our industry. I feel that it's going to get more simple to take to people about our industry as time marches forward. I am experiencing that people see well thought out concept and company in our industry if approached correctly on the standpoint of building a relationship and education. Thanks for your sacrifice here because it's going to help millions of distributors one day!
  • Here in Australia the shops are full, people seem to be spending like usual, the electronics stores are advertising 1 million months interest free terms, (ok, so it's like 3 years interest free), so the 'melt down' doesn't seem to be affecting us here.

Now let me tell you what is really happening here.
Major corporation like Pacific Brands have gone bust, financial giant Storm Financial has hit the wall, Ford Australia is rumored to be laying off thousands of people, the mining giants are retrenching or sacking thousands, and all these jobs will not be replaced. That's the most frightening thing, these jobs will not be replaced.

I believe that people in general don't see the implications of what is starting to happen. It hasn't hit them in the back pocket yet so they are either ignoring it or they are just hoping things will stay the same.

Sure, fuel prices are low, interest rates are low, the Australian Government has guaranteed bank savings for the next 3 years giving people, in my opinion, a false hope that all will be OK if we brace and wait it out.

Those who are waiting and hoping all will be OK are going to be bitten so hard that they won't know what happened.
Those who are doing something Now, to set themselves up, will not only ride out the storm but will sail through and not even have to worry if things go wrong.

As you say, Network Marketing is one of the only ways left to secure a stable financial future and I just hope those we talk to in the coming days, weeks and months actually do their homework and create for themselves the life they deserve.

    Love your NMPRO site.

  • Good show, Eric. I am concerned with not the state of the economy but with the attitudes and mindset of our people. We have to engage them in conversations about personal responsibility and then maybe they will hear our voices ... your show is the beginning of shouting at them!

Thanks for this Eric. I look forward to any information/ideas I can use to share with prospects and improve their business --- and mine.

    G'Day Eric,

I agree with your comments about the economy. And I'm thankful to already be part of this awesome profession. I'm thrilled to be in a position to be able to help people improve their current situations.

    Have a Great Day!
  • OLIVIA REINOSA
I agree with your comments about the new economy we are going to face. The big problem that I see, is that schools and universities are still focused on making "good workers", good students that have good notes, but that are unable to work by themselves, that have big problems in creating their own business, students that are still hoping to find a good company, a good job, and to earn a good income, no matter what. They grew with the beleif that it was enough if they study and they find a job. The network profession is still not considered as a "good job". A lot of actual workers grew with that idea.
I give classes and lectures in the University and we have to change the fundamentals of educational system if we want the new generations to succeed in a very different and challenging world.
  • Carlos Gomez
Hello Erick , i in one of your network marketing system but i m not fully active , i have lot of hard times trying to sell , every body put a barrier to this new oportunity ,just because "Confrot life or to avoid any risk " , and even if they try the product and work for them , probably they just dont want to expand the inerti , what do you recommend ?
  • I agree, thanks so much for this tool.
  • Dr Dominique Dock
    Eric, this is so true.
Even in the United Kingdom's health system, which is free at the point of delivery, still (?) we have started seeing this shift in how we do get paid: the "optional" bonus economy has kicked us hard and despite early successes, now we have, as doctors, to "produce" results that are decided in high places and modified yearly to complicate things even more ! if we don't, the income is reduced by as much as in your example.

I cannot believe there are still plenty people out there, who believe they must find another company/ job as quick as possible. They seem not to know there is a different economical model in the MLM industry.

I am waiting for your intervention every day with anticipation; thank you Eric. It's now on my iTunes downloads as well.

Hi Eric, great webcast this morning. I am in the corporate world and you are spot on with your comments. Looking forward to tomorrow's information.
  • Excellent video for today, Eric.

When the proper people see what you and the rest of the true Network Marketing Pros are trying to bring forth. The shutters will come off our profession and we will all benefit from people like yourself.

    Peter
  • Eric,
Terrific! I agree completely. We need to be professionals in all we do. And, also need to WORK! So many make Network Marketing sound like an easy and quick solution. Those who have succeeded have worked for and still do for success.
    Chris
  • Hey Eric,

I love the site, one of the most professional looking sites I have seen, and I am proud to be associated with you.

The biggest thing that I took from this, is that you predict a shift from the "lottery mentality" to one of people entering the network marketing space, in order to build a professional career, this one shift alone will benefit the perception of our industry many fold.

With you all the way Eric.

    Regards

    Grahame Brown (UK)
  • Hi, Eric! Your analysis of the global economic situation and Your outlook to the next 5 - 10 years is right on target. Nothing to add!
    Congratultions!
    Best Wishes, Freddie
  • Fernando Rosiles
You are the right MESSENGER !
  • You're dead on Eric. The economy is creating new ways that business will evaluate and compensate for performance. Here's the thing, since we are moving to a pay for performance economy and business climate, why shouldn't the indivitual decide what the pay will be. That's the beauty of Network Marketing; you get to decide what you are worth not someone else.
  • Eric, once again, very awesome show today. Your ability to concisely convey these concepts of how the economy is rapidly changing really woke me up today. The truth of the matter is that we need to get involved in our life again, take charge of our futures. The days of the free lunch are fast coming to a close....our country of the USA will not be able to afford the massive unemployment checks for much longer, and there will be a period of panic.

It's important for those of us in this profession to be as educated as possible about this industry, and the service you are providing here is absolutely excellent. I'm a huge fan of this show already!

Eric, I'm having a HUGE party on March 28th for my company here in Minneapolis, with a live reggae band, fire dancers, massage artists, and much much more. I would love for you to come and see what we are doing right here in our backyard. This industry is FUN, and it's all about team work, community, and showing the world that we are all in this together. I would like to invite you, how should I contact you? peace

    Nate Stevens
  • I think you are right, Eric. Network Marketing will prosper, but we need to aquire the skills and apply them with passion. Good luck on the new site.

    Regards from Iceland,

  • Eric, its amazing how you were able to much so much incredible and so true information in only 12 minutes!

I am going to let everyone know about this recent post!

    Thanks!
  • Eliav Kling
Most of the things that Eric is talking about are already happening in the company that I am working in today.
I am ready to learn how to become Network Marketing Professional!!!
  • ERNEST
    Eric,

Excellent lead in to the future of Network Marketing Pro.

It's time for change, the industry norms that we once knew
are no more and people are panicking.

But we all must change to succeed !

It's difficult to change when you think that you must change
    everything in order to succeed.

But consider, and be willing to create minute points of change?

    Change what you sell
Change where your money comes from
    Change what you do
    Change the way you market

Apply what you know and use it to do something else.

    Keep, keeping on !

    Ernest

Eric, you can build and transfer belief like no one else. I always enjoy listening to you. Thanks for all your time, effort, enthusiasm and expertise. You definitely make a difference for me. cheers!
  • Hi Eric,

Excellent video today on the new economy.

I agree that there is a huge shift that is taking place in the economic environment today. I actually disagree with you on your opinion that all employees are going to go to a "smaller base salary - with performances and incentives."

I think it's going to be even worse than that. I believe they are just going to go to a smaller base salary and that's it. In other words, if you are making $50,000 a year, your salary will go down to $25,000 a year. No performances. No incentives. You make $25,000 a year and that's it.

The reason why is globalization. Because of how intertwined the world's economies are, I believe you are going to see more and more competition for the jobs that are out there.

15 years ago, if I started a company in the United States, my only options for employees were to hire US citizens who lived local to where my company headquarters is located at. This is no longer the case. I can now hire people in other parts of the country and even other parts of the world (i.e. India, Eastern Europe, Asia, etc)

In addition, I can also hire people from other parts of the world and bring them over to the United States on work Visa's. Every year, the limited amount of work Visa's are maxed out quickly. One day some politician is going to get the bright idea to let companies pay the government to get more work Visas then what's allowed. When that happens, you are going to see a huge influx of foreign born workers coming over to the US to compete for American jobs.

This includes jobs that you can't outsource oversees (i.e. Nursing, etc).

As a result you are going to see a huge shift of people starting non traditional businesses to have a better lifestyle. These includes network marketing as well as other businesses that can be run from home (i.e. internet based business, freelance service companies, etc).
  • E R I C thank you.
    yes it is so true.
economy is different and people will have do adjust
MLM is the right adjustment tool for many

Eric I believe that our economy has changed, and will continue to change into the future. I believe that the "old" system is not as safe as it used to be. As you mentioned the 4 categories have all changed and are unstable and will need to change more in time. I also believe that the"old" thoughts, feelings, beliefs regarding Network Marketing is changing, and people who would not normally dream of Network Marketing, now are taking a closer look at it and see the benifits. I include myself in this situation, I'd been approached before by an individual working for a Network Marketing company and listened but turned him down cold. Over the past year and a half I've seen and experienced Network Marketing in a totally different light and see the dramatic impact it can and will have on my life. You have a great insight into the current state of our economy and as far as the future, you're probably very close to the mark. Great video, great message.

Also there are the small job owners who have been challenged for long in recent competition,
and they may accept a new career in NWM more easily as they have already used to be on their own.

There is a tsunami that will flood the new world,(the future) and that is Network Marketing whether you want to agree or not. I completely agree with you and this comes from someone that is not currently in the business!!

  • Your right. the timing is here the timing is NOW! I feel so blessed to be in the know about such an amazing opportunity that is Network Marketing. This is the most beautiful way of generating income I've ever seen. Nothing in the traditional world even comes close.
Great training/educational resource you've made available for us here.
  • Another great episode today Eric! People have got to wake up and realize that for MOST people now the current economic system is broken and not working for them anymore. Network marketing provides a viable alternative that works! With this profession, people can design and implement their own personal stimulus and bailout packages and know that these plans will work, IF they work them!
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
    Hi Eric,

We totally agree. Everything in the world is changing. We have to let people know what a great opportunity NM is in this ecomonic troubled times. Cannot wait till tomorrow for your next show.

    Hugs S & L
    We Go for Pro!
  • The revolution has begun and network marketing has always been the greatest opportunity for people desiring to make changes in their lives. It is not a get rich quick fix. It is difficult challange to grow and change. It is about self discovery and personal growth. The world is looking for the people who will step forward and lead in this new economy. Take your energy and product to the world market place.
  • Network marketing does work. It does take time. You get paid for what your worth. If you do little you make a little. But you alot you just might make alot. Its all up to you.
  • Jose
To many people are used to going throug life without getting anything out of it. This so called global crisis will shake shake them up and make them think of were they are and were there're going. I think that in general eveyone will come out better, the current status quo will change and all will be for the better in the long run. Change is difficult for most people.
What was needed is a way to let everyone who wants to, find out about the possiblities, and you steped up....Great work eric
  • meir
I agree 100% with your words
  • Joy Pruitt
Agree for sure and no you are not full of it:) Meeting with Gary and Sherry on Saturday to come up with a new game plan to become a sucessful Network marketing Pro! Thanks for all you do for us and your continue support. Have a great day. joy
  • Paco Carreño Gálvez
Wow! If this is the begining... I can't wait for tomorrow... I think this video is the best way to start. I love when you say something like "... We'll have to improve the way we tell the story or the way we comunicate the opportunity..." I agree with that 100%... Now it's the time to make key decissions and one of them must be comunicate better, realize what we have in our hands and don't ask, but offer... One of my mentor (a good friend of yours) says: "This is a sorting process"
  • I totally agree. In fact, I think that our economy is going to shift into a series of small businesses, and by small I mean that one or a few people will run it. I also know that the companies or businesses that get through and thrive during the next year or so, will be very profitable when the economy is booming again.
On another note, did anyone else notice the book centred in the background? TRIBES. Great book.
Remember that you are selling you, your team, and on opportunity to make dreams real. Go for it!
  • Eric,

I absolutely agree with the changing economy more and more people are willing to look at the Network Marketing industry. I have had several people that shut me down before ask to see what it is all about now because of cuts in salary or layoffs. Now is the time for us to become real Pros in this great industry, and I have to thank you AGAIN for giving us another tool to become the professionals that we need to be now more than ever. Can't wait for the next broadcast!!!
  • Eric,
As a former History teacher, I can not agree more with your imparted wisdom today. Taking it strictly from a historic perspective we are witnessing the latest in a series of economic revolutions. From agrarian, to cottage industries leading to industrial to service to what we are witnessing now with information. what we are going through now may be the biggest shift economic shift since the early 19th century with Eli Whitney's innovations. The entire paridigm is shifting in front of our eyes. GREAT Subject.! I look forward to see what you have in store for us tomorrow.

Hi Eric, You hit the nail on the head.. Everything you said is so very true. Thank you again so much for your help. This is wonderful, what you have created here. God Bless..Have a great day...

  • Dee Pauletig
    Hi Eric,

Your show will be a great way for me to start my day!! I thank you again!!

Your message on the changing openess of people to this industry is DEAD ON!! I am experiencing it personally. I am also expereincing the beginnings of the "performance based compensation model". Your finger is definitely on the pulse of the world. I am listening!!
  • GREAT! I`ve got it but want to have it in RUSSIAN.

Eric, is there a plan to translate this program to Russian? It will be a bomb and so help to involve new people!!!
  • Stella Webber The Netherlands
I really agree. I think for a lot of people NWM is the only way to keep on working AND earning enough money AND enjoy live at the same time! All those worried people who are afraid of loosing their jobs, should have a look at NWM, ofcourse at a trustable organization.
  • Paulo_Rita
Great. I'll show this webcast to a friend of mine. I'm pretty sure he will wake up for life :)
  • Totally agree. The economy has to change, I believe too that it'll be based on performance and that has not a lot to do with education but with who we are and want to be, people should be paid for the value they provide and NM offers that. Recently I was in Turkey where I've seen people (local people, business owners, hotel's staff) willing to achieve something with their lives with the skills and time they have (even if it means to work hard because they don't know what else they could do) and most importantly I've seen them thankful when offering them an opportunity where they would be rewarded in proportion to the value they provide regardless of their experience/education, yes they’re thankful when being offered the opportunity that could help them living the life they'd like to live! Today they're still people who don't see or seize an opportunity (whatever it's) when one comes by, either they don't see it, don't look at it or reject it with some lame excuses often because they don't believe they can do it, they're afraid of the change. But in this economical CHALLENGE the world's changing, the rules are changing and more people'll see what we've to offer and they'll be more than ready. Let's get ready, let's be PRO! Thanks Eric.
  • I totally agree that this out responsibility now to be professionals so we can show the opportunity of being a part of this great industry, to as many people as we can, because those who see it, really get a better chance in life of creating something big, you absolutely right, this is no something for nothing, and a lot of work has to be done in order to be a leader, but it worth it, because this what taking responsibility is all about.

p.s. thank you Eric for that great new site, again you set the bar several levels higher
  • Sylvie
You've hit the nail on the head! Times are changing, the way people earn a living is changing and if we want to keep up - we will have to change! Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
  • There are too many people who don't want work and just want continue is their comfort status. Don't you think that?
  • Carole Boudreau
I am a great believer of Network Marketing. It is the only way for me to make a living in a upsy turvey world. I am 50 years old, I am taking care of a child with reduced ability, a husband that does shift work and does a lot of overtime. There is no conventional business that would hire me because I wasn't available when I was needed. But with network marketing I can work the hours that I plan, go has far as I can, help people to achieve their plan and their dreams. It took me a few years to find the real values of network marketing, did a lot of research and always came back to the fact that it is the only way for me and I believe that if people do their due diligence they are going to find the same as me. Eric, I am giving you a great hug. You have just unleashed the best program for us to help explain network marketing to other people. I am going to use this site and pass it along.
    God bless you,
    Carole
