  • Ha-ha I live in Michigan and I have to be honest with you, it is always high noon. The problem is most people are so use to 12 o'clock that they become numb to their way of living. I try to encourage them so that they can see their full potential.
  • Nene
We can't do it for them, but we need to do it with them. In any partnership, both parties need to be committed. I will commit to you as long as you are committed to me.
  • heatherbrocklehurst
Skipping to the complete interview, but Heather was here! :)
  • it is about the "alternative"

The concept of "being ready" was something I just talked to my roomate last night. I think being ready means that you BELIEVE you are ready, that you are focused, you are commited to get what you want right now, and of course, commited to do something, and have self confidence.

The follow up to people that already said no, or never called you back to give you an answer is so important. That is the thing I'm keeping in my mind now, because, as Anthony Robbins says, "If you ask enough of right questions, you will get enough of right answers", and if you don't follow up, you'll never know when is 12 o'clock for them.

    Thanks for sharing ;)
  • What great tips especially the 1 year commitment absolutely something IMO should be used when working with new people along with the focus, serious, daily contact this is really important. Great, great stuff.

Great info! Taking great notes and feeling stronger and stronger about NWM!!
  • peterburrows
it is no wonder these guys make fortunes....
they have NM nailed down to some very simple tasks, and you know what....
we just need to mirror them,
    not reinvent,
    mirror.
  • Erik
Love the consept on that it must be " 12 o`clock " for them, and that them must call you every day, partnership :)
  • MarvinTowler
I especially like the idea of a 1yr commitment. Great tip Nathan!
  • crwood1967
So my question is can we smother a person by this approach?
  • Nick
"Do you want to rent your whole life to someone else?" Wow! I have watched them individually and as a whole a few different times and this is the first time I hear Nathan say that line... Profound stuff there. "Those are the real risks." Thanks for what you are doing Eric, keep it up!

    Best regards!

In prospecting there is no thing like 'NO'
    NO = Not-Now  (Its not 12’o clock now)
So 5 years follow-up is not a big deal, its Accumulated effect is so strong.
PROSPECTING should be your LIFE-STYLE, not a part-time activity.

    Great Video!

  • Thanks Eric, great advice from Rick. People have to show interest and a way for them to be interested is by providing value to the prospect first. They have to have trust in the sponsor and not feel they are going to leave them. They can be shown a business plan and be sent to a place where they could learn how to set up an article, a youtube or how to listen to a prospect to find out what their needs are. It's about them and not the person getting them to enroll. By providing a free service and teaching them they will see you as someone who doesn't just want their money even though you don't. People are scared as it is when joining a network marketing company and need to feel they are learning the steps of marketing their business. Just my opinion.
  • This is so true and you are absolutely on target. I love that there is no beating around the bush and everything is so straight forward and candid.

Sometimes you need to love people where they are at and lock arms with those that see the vision for their future lives right now!!!

"You can't push a rope uphill"

I especially like the posture that is sometimes necessary to demonstrate to others that you are serious and that you have certain key expectations from them to ensure that the time spent with them is worthwhile.

    Great Interview!
  • My gold nugget:

"The real risk isn't doing a business like this, and even failing in one of them, and trying to learn how to do it, and then try it again, until you figure it out, until you change enough that you can figure it out."

I've enrolled in several companies when I was at 12:00, and in the beginning did a lot of wheel-spinning trying to get people to 12:00 when they weren't. I learned that one well.

Some personal circumstances (illness, deaths) knocked me out a couple of times.

Knowing, deeply, that it's all about being at 12:00 and finding people who are as well, I'm watching and waiting for my own clock to strike midnight once again, and the minute it does, I'm jumpin' right back in.

    Great words of direction!

My favorite part of the interview... 3:32 - 4:40.
  • Neslihan Enoktem-istanbul
I loved the concept of 12 o'clock; call/contact as many people as you can to reach to 12 o'clocks.
And I liked " You can’t afford to hire me, but I will work for you for free if you do… " .
    Awesome!
  • David
This is what I have been waiting for. Good teaching. Thanks Eric.
  • ez2win
Powerful and empowering! Be there for your people who are focused, committed and consistent - and don't delete anyone - it's just not their 12 o'clock yet, so get back to them later. Nobody wants to rent out their entire life to "the man". Thanks Eric and Nathan.
  • feltricks
Create the relation with your new member, based on a daily commitment over the next year.
Do you want to be a quitter or do you want to be successful???
Do you want to be an amateur or do you want to be a pro???
A lo t of work to do.
    Thanks a lot.
  • Umur Akbay
Simple facts yet so powerful; it is all about us, our perceptions of where we stand, what we have to offer, and who to take it to... Feel like a little child, so much to learn, so much to apply.. One step at a time. The business does not chase us, we chase this business, at least 5 years... Then we may take a break time to time.. Thank you Eric, what your journey is sacred.. NMPRO will definately change the image in people's minds on Network Marketing!! More enrollments on our way! :)
  • Everyday is a new day and everyday someone is confronting their reality, it is what i did to become open minded enough to have a look at this industry...persist with your committment to talk to others and jewels will standout...then lock arms and duplicate the committment and the action!

Your content, Eric and Nathan..is great..Thankyou!
  • Tony Scarcia
5 years of follow-ups? Time to go back through the list and get back to EVERYONE who said no at some point. Thanks for a great installment Eric. Looking forward to tomorrow.
  • Carlos Samaniego
Erik, these interviews rock! Man I remember seeing Rick in old company video back in 1987, the video introduce me to MLM...

This was an awesome video, looking forward to the rest.

    Keep up great work...

    Old TPN friend,

  • Great! 5 powerful minutes again, it's things I know but it's like I'm getting it better now, thanks!
  • A must Indeed! What are the trainings we need in these times?
  • Awesome! Love what Mr. Ricks has to say about Chasing the Business. No does not mean never, it just means not right now. I'll be using the analogy of "renting your life out to somebody else" in a lot of conversations. Thanks!
  • Yvette Morey
Awesome, certainly makes you think differently. Took me a while to get to 12 o'clock, so can't expect everyone else to be there NOW!!
Thank you, really enjoying these interviews, Eric. An awesome job!
    Yvette :)
  • Nathan tells his story geniusly.
I recognize the story with 12 o´clock - its nice.
Now, I wait for the training-skills!
Great Work, Eric - thank you for your visions!
  • Joanne Quirk
POWERFUL! A MUST TO HELP PEOPLE CREATE A VISION IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS TYPE OF COMMITMENT!
  • Dee Pauletig
GREAT information as always....and a HUGE challenge to us as SPONSORS!! We need to commit the time to our team!!
  • Amazing content! You are right, you have to find people that are ready and at 12 o'clock. Sometimes we waste too much time trying to make them 12 o'clock... Thanks for helping me!
  • Osnat Bresler
Talk to enough people till you find the 12 o`clocks who are willing and ready to focus and commit - then you can run with these. So clear! And to hear that he had to talk to some of his best leaders for 5 years before they were ready to start....precious input here. Thank you, and looking forward to more.
  • Thank you very much for th teachings
    LOVE

  • Steve Goodrich
Thanks Eric and Nathan for sharing your information !
The 12 o' clock concept is a great way of explaining, how to find and measure if someone is ready. Posture with simplicity. . makes this process easier to get duplication.
  • you can't make it 12 o'clock for someone else.
  • HananAgel
Hi friend, I love it. Just saw all of them today, as I'm travelling in Italy. Going to share and recomend to my Italien and world wide team to be connected as short daily training. Be happy to add content in the future.
    Hanan
  • Wow, it is great to have the insights of such a sucessful person available for us. Thanks Eric.
  • Wow! Powerful stuff! I can't wait for part 3 (and 4, and 5)
  • Feryal Durukan
    Hi Eric,

Hope all is well. How is the translation work coming along? I can help with Turkish.
  • Salomon Nuñez
    Priceless!
  • Laurynas L.
Wait till person is ready and when he is focused, committed and calling to you every day, then you can create a leadership with him and chase a business.
  • Paul Merriwether
EXCELLENT interview. He's keeping it real. He's telling people exactly what they need to hear if they want
to be successful in the business. Now, I'm not a "focused" person. I realized late in life as I'm now 61 I have ADD. It's tough staying focused on a task. However I've had groups in the thousands because you really only need to know a few key things. I'm eager to see if we're totally in sync.
  • Pedro Lugo Hernandez
"... until YOU change enough that YOU can figure it out." Those last 10 words blew me away. I got that I'm the only REAL obstacle, the other ones are either temporary or non-existent. I will get out of the way and follow the leaders that already have been where I want to be. PERIOD!!!
  • Hi Eric,

I love that...I've been telling my coaching clients for a long time to not personally mentor people that don't take action.

I can handle lack of results...I can train you, teach you sales and leadership skills, etc. But if you won't be held accountable and take massive action every day then you won't be personally mentored... If you commit to making 10 calls a day and you call me wanting something I'm going to ask if you made your 10 calls yet. If you haven't I'm going to say to make your calls and then call me back and I would be happy to answer your question.

Can't wait to hear the next one.

  • I love the analogy!!! "Renting your life out"...Fantastic

You can't "buy" this kind of education
    Thanks...looking forward to more!!!
  • You can't afford to hire me, but I will work for you for free if you do... this, this and this...
  • It's 12 o'clock Brutha! :)
