The right secret sauce is to know what lifestyle you desire, modelled a plan to achieve it, then work your butt off executing the plan!! And make sure all this happen in the right industry, like NM industry. The right plan must come first... then only hard work pays. Then whatever Eric presented in this video will make sense to you. Thank you.
  • Years ago I had a custom vehicle and painted on the deck lid I had the words "Hard Work Pays!" I took years of hard work and years of building my income before I could actually drive the car. Everything takes time but with time you can have everything.
  • Foo Fang Fook
Yes ! Hard work is the vital part to Success.
    Thank you.

Søndag morgen i min alder venner huset i Sverige, bare se på en video for å holde løfte til meg selv.
  • mrmauriocrawford
This is the vrey 1st video that I saw on this site. I actually googled Eric Worre's name and this video popped up. WOW...This journey w/ these videos & Eric as my personal coach has really up'd my worth/value in this industry. I went from not knowing hardly anything about being a professional in this industry, to where I am today.

OMG...I'm just so excited. The mesg here is time tested and proven by every leader out there. "Work your face off!"

    Amen Eric....Amen
  • mrmauriocrawford
oh yeh...i've been learning from this site since September 2009.
  • Netsayi
A great work ethic does it for me
  • Thanks for telling it like it is.
  • Alfie
    Very honest video...

I agree. Hardwork is more important than skill and timing.

  • FrankMarshman
I guess that is the secret to any thing, work. When I decided to learn the profession I did for 40 years I apprenticed at a shop from 7am - 1:30 am every day 7 days a week. I learned more in those 2 1/2 years than most of those who were the skilled technicians. Success is hiding behind the dirt of work.
  • John Spardella
In this show, Eric mentions 2 of my favorite companies, TPN and PPL. He talks of working your butt off in order to have the lifestyle I want and I just decided one of the ways for me to do just that is by a ton of phone calls everyweek....
  • Erik
Yes it`s hard job, great to hear you saying this. To " clean up " our industry we need to point this out. If you join a NM Company you have not signed up for a lottery ticket. Do a little and you will most likely earn a little, massive action and you can build a BIG business :)

700-1000 phonecalls a day ? WOW no wonder he got to the top :) What is interesting to know is, how many of his Distributors do the same ? I think none :) But how many have he learned to call 2 a day, 5 a day and so on.

But what was the gameplan you designed for Art ?
  • miguelcortez
Thanks for sharing who your friends are ..... One of them is my up line... :)
  • Judy C Sparta300
thanks eric for reminding me that the work comes before the lifestyle. As a youngster in this profession and in life i was born in a microwave generation and this reminds me that i must learn to be patient, pay the price, do the work , then the lifestyle will come.
  • 1BrutalTruth1
    Eric,
You are absolutely, positively, unequivocably RIGHT. Thank you for spilling blood on your video.
I wish EVERYONE in mlm could hear this. They need to hear the TRUTH, just like you spilled.
But, I bet the rewards are 'off the charts'.
  • greenfairyabsinthmix
this was the best and honest motivation ever seen, no bullsit, no empty promises, just real and true.

    thanks Eric
  • Disciplined hard work IS the secret sauce to success in the Network Marketing Profession. Unfortunately this has been played down in the past, by many leaders, encouraging everyone to join their business, claiming that this is a fast and easy way to create a lifestyle of their dreams...I have seen how this leads to huge disappointment and disillusionment for many who join, thinking that working a few hours a week will make them rich.
Bless you for articulating the straight truth - not the timing, not the product and not your position - hard work will bring results.

  • Dear Eric: I really like this video as it brought back memories of a long time ago. My husband and I signed up to be part of The People's Network but Canada refused to allow the satellite dishes into our country. I began my Masters degree in Continuing Education in order to learn more about leadership in order to create programs for The People's Network in Canada as well as for other leadership development programs. The name Brian Carruthers sparked this memory as I was learning from leaders in Winnipeg in the early 1990's. I learned a great deal from the training offered by your company at that time and I think Brian may have been a presenter at one of our sessions. The presenter liked to use ties that were unique and they sometimes lit up. The team was dynamic, fun and worked really hard. I have forgotten people's names but I remember the vibrancy and dynamic attitudes. Work hard, keep open to learning, and invite people to join in.

Sadly Canada has once again scuttled our ability to sell our network marketing nutritional products as the government has just begun implementing its new policy regarding health and well-being products. They are stopping pallets at the border and returning them to the company. It looks like alternative health care is going down hill in Canada as we are told that many different products are being sent back.

There are also some other things happening that make me wonder about network marketing viability. I think network marketing is a great way to do business that can duplicate our efforts. How would you suggest handling a situation in which a top income earner leaves a company with some of his downline of thousands? I have been told that this type of movement is common in network marketing. Is it common? If we are to be Professionals we need to talk about these things. I would greatly appreciate a response.

Thank you very much for bringing alive a very enjoyable part of my past.

    Eric,

I agree with Monica, this network opportunity was presented as an easy business, with flexible few hours. This is an excelent business opportunity that can change your life, but as you said in the video, you have to WORK, and WORK hard, and you have to learn skills.
I think one of the obstacules in this business is when you ran out of names and contacts to make your phone calls and invitations. I have a contact list, but now I'm sure it isn't enough!!!!
  • Monica Torres, Guadalajara, Me
    Hi again,
Well, the stories are great although is hard to believe how on earth did Mr. Jeffry made 700 to a 1000 phone calls a week for a year. Did he knew 48,000 people? How is this possible? Is this a metaphor?

I agree completely about the Hard Work. There is no other way.

And that is why now that when I do my presentations, I follow the business plan but I also talk about hard work and learning the skills to make it happen. Because when I was invited to this great industry, my ticket to the life style was my entry kit packet and a few hours work. They never told me about hard work _this mean investing many hours_ and learning the skills. This came much later and now the net that I belong to is working really hard to help building a strong network.

But still when we see the videos or go to main presentations, there is no word about all we have been listening here: HARD WORK AND LEARNING THE SKILLS.

Why do you think it is so Eric?
    SatNam
    Mónica
  • Some people mentioned that the WHY is more important but the why is what supports the how and like some say 'as you pray move your feet'
Plus it doesn't matter if it scares some people away when we are honest and tell them that this business requires efforts because if they're not ready to work for it then it's just not for them, point.
And what the hell, people go out everyday to work 8 hours a day for a boss and a job they may even not like with no security at all, they invest about 40 hours a week in a job for about 40 years!!! if that is not hard work and crazy then what?!
I don't get people who complain about having to work extra when 1/ we are even not talking about 8 hours a day and 2/ it's FOR THEMSELVES at least!

You're right Eric, it's about working our A* off and if some people don't want they can just go back to their nice 9-5 job for the next 20 years ;-
  • So work your face off, most of us think we are but truly aren't putting in the effort. I know I have a long way to go, I'm afraid of making those phone calls but I know in order for me to learn and grow it has to be done. Robert Kiyosaki said that the best way to learn sales is through network marketing, get in a company with a great training program and learn learn learn it will lead you to the road to success. This company is the greatest and with your help with your training in these videos it gives us so much more to put in our file of knowledge. Thanks again Eric!!
  • anabella lopez
I agreed to every single word that Eric said, and I am working hard of it… We have to work day by day, with passion and patient… and we will get the benefits…
The sky is the limit… What are we waiting for?...
  • Why don't more people get this!!!!! NM is not a game!!!! it takes hardwork, let's get this information out, and when prospecting, be honest and let them know this is not a 100m dash, it is a marathon. In the marathon if you run harder you get there sooner!!!

I gotta go back to work!

    Federico Ruiz
  • Great training Eric. I was told years ago that 'massive action solves all problems'.

In my eight years of network marketing experience I've learned that success is about two things:

As you pointed out in this video, the first is taking consistent action over a long period of time. As Jim Rohn said, "What is easy to do, is easy not to do" Success in network marketing means mastering the fundamentals and repeating them over and over.

The top 20% make 80% of the commissions in sales and in network marketing, because they take consistent action every day.

The top 4% make 96% of the commissions in sales and in network marketing, because they take massive action every day.

Second, success in network marketing comes from investing in personal development so that you attract more people, so that you attract better people, and so that you are more effective with them.

    Eric,
    you are the man.
    absolutely great!!!
    every word is pure gold.

there are only 3 things to do with your videos:
    1. watch
    2. learn
    3. implement

    that's it.

    keep on the good work!!

    we all love you.

    Ron
  • Great stories... Mr. Carruthers is an incredible one. I know he works harder than probably anybody.
  • Dez Alexanders
Eric, I love the work you do.I was introduced to you by Grahame Brown (UK) and we three think very alike and that is that it takes a lot of work,"work your face off," to get the lifestyle achieved by the likes of you and Brain Carruthers. I am currently in the process of putting together a seminar which I will be taking on the road to promote the Home Based Business and Network Marketing. I will be attempting to blow some of the myths and to tell people of how hard it is but also how rewarding it can be.
I watch your program every day and thank you for your hard work.
  • I agree, You sell yourself in any business, that's why some people never succeed at any thing. Some people don't have any faith in them selves, so how can they sell them selves.
  • GREAT SHOW! I totally agree - no work no pay or as one of our executives put it - "If you work a little you earn a little, if you work a lot you earn A LOT!"

  • "Fall in love with the Process" The "Results" will show up because you will be in love with the process and are not attached with the results. With time, we all get better! So, great message! Start now and commit to becoming a Pro! You will win, Only if you don't Quit!
  • Anna Horton
Listening to you interview others in MLM shows me that time is of the essence and the truth of the YOU that sells whatever your are encouraging comes through quite clear. The persons you interview are varied and bring a different perspective to this profession, yet the bottom line is they all say 'work' hard work pays off and that there is no overnight fix. You help others to help you.
Thanks Eric. I look forward to your encouragement as I begin this journey to being a network marketing professional.
  • I have made a lot of money (most of it for others) making 20-30 phone calls an hour, 40+ hours a week for years. The phone is my friend. Working the telephone side of business is a skill useful in network marketing and not one that tends to duplicate. However, if you are not willing to do whatever it takes for you to make it, for as long as it takes, you find excuses win and you putdown those who will do what ever it takes. There was no internet in the early 90's and the phone was the medium to connect with many people, fast and inexpensively and it had a much higher return than most other ways to contact. If you called on those who knew you, your success rate was significantly higher.

Today you may be able to use newer methods to select, sort and help qualify prospects. BUT if you won't talk with them or meet them face to face using existing technology you will fail. If you are not engaged in conversations with qualified candidates daily, you will fail. Once you learn the skills, all of them, not the cafeteria version but the full meal deal, your time in the sun is a sure thing. It will still take some time... and if you've put in 5 years and are not there? ... Find someone you trust to show you what little 'trim tab' idea you have overlooked that will explode you into the bigtime. DO NOT QUIT.
  • Great video Eric & congrats on the awesome site my man!

Eric - I need a vision as to how things look. My business is teaching people how to use computers so how do I find those people? I don't see me making 500 phone calls a week for this kind of service. Thank you for creating this, the vision will come in time.
  • 700 to 1000 calls a week, although will have happened, in this case I believe is a metaphor for 'get off your butt and get to work'.

It also seems like there are lots of people in Network Marketing land who don't know what to do after they burn out the first lot of people they present their opportunity to. Even Jim Rohn says that in the beginning, "I make up in numbers what I lack in skill" ending up in burning out their warm market quickly.

That has a lot to do with why there are so many social media lunatics just following everyone they can find then trying to bash them over the head with their dead-end, so called opportunity that even they can't get to work so they have to try to infect others with their own brand of viral misconceptions.

So where and how to find people after a warm market burn-out?
Maybe you could do a segment on that Eric.
Not sure if it fits in with the culture of your NMPro site but maybe it's worth a look.

Randy Gage calls it: 2 a day. Meet two people a day, then when you have a list of people figure out which ones are the most dynamic, most successful, then present the opportunity, then repeat the same process. In order to do that you MUST put yourself in situations where you meet new people. It can be a lot of fun if you look in the right places. I prefer networking events for traditional business types.
A great up-beat environment plus the perfect target market for prospecting (putting people on your list), not bashing them over the head with your opp as soon as you meet them.

I also read an article from Wes Anderson who talks about 'getting creative'. He says that those who have become successful have been creative in their processes. He does say, to which I totally agree, not to change or compromise the system or plan (if you have one in your company), just get creative in the process of involvement.

The best thing about being creative is that it's 'your' creativity at work, you are being yourself, and so long as the system or product/service isn't compromised then take it from me, it's a lot of fun and it can get you results at the same time.
  • Eric, I heard a great man say it is not netSitting, nor netEating, it's netWorking! Many forget to pick up on that word embedded in netWORK.

If I may add, hard work is key as long as it is working smart and being productive. What are you going to do one day, when I show up on your doorstep wanting to shadow you for a few days! ;-)

As always, thanks for all you do!
  • Terre Johsnon
Always you hit the mark! this is a great resource that I have been fanning out in emails to people who need to hear it straight - sans FLUFF! - Thanks, TJ
  • Hey Eric,

This one made me really sit up and take notice! :)
I think this message should be memorized by everyone in the industry and must be REQUIRED material in their 'opportunity' meetings during the part where they are talking about 'lifestyle'.

We would definitely be attracting a higher caliber of people to those meetings!!
  • John Oriettas
Eric, making 700-1000 calls / week may be possible for Jeff Roberti, yourself and Randy Gage... But just last week Randy Gage said you need to have a large group of people, doing a few SIMPLE actions, over a sustained period of time... But 90% of the people who hear this and are in NM have no clue what to do or how to do it. 700 calls? To who? The white pages? And with what skill? Not to mention that how duplicatable is what you just said? Is NM really about the AVERAGE person making 700 calls/week?
    Am I missing something?
  • As always Eric, good stuff. Network Marketing Professionals work hard, work smart and encourage others to do the same. Lastly we don't stop until we see the fruit of our labor. Then we enjoy the fruit of our labor with those we love.

    Ced Reynolds, CITRMS
  • I think working hard is not enough, an intelligent game plan and a rhythm that starts be small vibration is a must if you want to create a big tsunami wave that will go on with out you having to carry it around,
  • Thanks Eric for the video.. It's soo true. those who aren't having the success they want can look at theier planner, computer history or just reflect on their day, moth, year etc and tell why they aren't successful like they want to be. I know the same is true for those who blow it up by working their faces off. thanks for the laser sharp focused videos. I think other videos at time were sharper and more exciting but I have to say. THIS ONE I THINK REPRESENTS WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS MORE THAN ANY OTHER CLIP... Thanks again..
I HAVE GONE PRO as of MAY 1, 2009.
  • I worked my butt off for 5 years to get a professional degree and guess what? I am limited by time and the price that the market and my boss puts to it.

So why not investing the same effort into something that really gives you back? Who cares if it is 5 or 10 years?

Thanks Eric for showing that this fast-and-easy-money thing doesn't exist at all!!

    RoX
  • I met a gentleman at a meeting last night who is now making $500,000.00 per year with only 6 months in the business, His secret? He held 7-8 opportunity meetings a week, every week, for 6 months. You must commit and work at your plan.
  • Jose Padilla (Caracas-Venezuel
The 5 year plan vs. the 40 year plan in a traditional job...Hands down the 5 year plan wins.
Some of us have already invested this much time for a degree and not makeing any money while doinig it. Think about it......

    Cheers
    Jose
  • Great as usual, thing is most of people work hard, in their traditional business or jobs, but think that just because it`s MML you can just sit and relax, WRONG! still a lot of work, but as someone above said, smart-hard work.

    Salomon
  • Hey Eric

As you know I worked my butt off building a traditional direct sales company to a multi million pound turnover only to have our main client pull out on us, never again! I will work my butt off in this profession to build something that cannot be taken away!

    Warm regards

    Grahame Brown (UK)
  • Yes Eric, as I said on an earlier post, "If it were easy, everybody would be doing it."
  • Hey Eric - thanks again for all you do. You are so right!! After sitting with you and the top 100 income earners in our company last weekend in San Diego - it became obvious that the secret was "working your face off" - everyone in that room had passion and they work very hard. You cannot get momentum if you do 5 minutes this week, 1 hour next, 5 mintues the next, etc...

You have to consistantly work at this - I believe people are truly not afraid of hard work, if they know the reward. In this industry - the reward cannot be taken away from you - how beautiful is that! It's time for me to work my face off and my arsh!!!

Hi Eric Again a great Video. You know in my traditional business in a past life as a lawyer..I studied for almost ten years just for the right to apply to the Bar Assoc. For 6 years I worked my ass off. I was making alot of money RIGHT out of the gate and I thought that I was set, but as the years wore on I found out that traditional biz was VERY difficult. I am now entering my 4th year in the industry, and if it takes 4 more (I DOUBT IT) to have the freedom that was never available in my traditional biz, than so be it.

Thanks for the content, once again excellent.

    Neil
  • Charles Peterson
Eric, you are 100% right about Mr. Brian Carruthers. I have seen and heard him and he is one of the hardest working people I have ever meet.

I was on a company trip with him in Huntington Beach, Ca and he was at the swimming pool with his leads and phone making dials. A lot of people were kinda giving him a hard time but hey, thats why he makes what he makes. Absolute stud!

Thanks Eric for what your doing with this website, its been great.
  • Eric, I want to thank you for your videos. They are candid, filled with possiblities and inspiring. Even though you don't know me you are making an impact on my life every day!
  • That is basically the formula for succeeding Eric :))) To work your a-- off and being a example for your team !

This is the one advice most networkers need !!

    Bart
  • Tanya C
You must have a burning desire to make your dream come true. If you have it you are able to work hard no matter what.
Eric, in every episode you give us your spirit and belief. That's the most precious.

    Thanks a lot.
  • Eric,
I was going to say "you hit the nail on the head"...but it seems that's already over-used. :-)

Anyway, excellent message. A lot of people probably don't want to look at THAT perspective of it, but hey, let's look at the alternative:
Where will 5 years of hard work get you in the "traditional" business model (9-5 job)? If I make $50,000. per year and work my butt off for the next 5 years, I'll probably get higher up the ladder and if I'm lucky, maybe double my salary, BUT, I'll also have more responsibility AND have to work longer hours. Is THAT success?

There's really no comparison when you compare network marketing to a "regular" job. The bottom line is though, you do have to "work".

    Great video Eric. Thank you.

    Jim
  • elyshemer
People are willing to work VERY hard at a job but when it comes to working their own business... I guess the fear of success (or, on the other side of the coin - the fear of failure) is a huge game stopper.

Most people are content with being lead and are afraid to be leaders.
  • Valentin Zamfir
Great show, the key is to work , but work inteligent , work with purpose, constant work.I am excited how easy is to work inteligent in our proffesion.
    Valentin Zamfir - Pitesti, Romania
  • Great video...amazing stories of success through hard work...this business is like any other requires hard work. Thanks for the advice...the new work your tail off regime has begun, see you at the top!
  • Jaime Morales Los Angeles
Work..Work And Work!! Man, you let the cat out of the bag, now everyone is gonna know.. Awesome as always..
  • Bones,

How many people can duplicate Barack Obama, Dr. Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Churchill, Reagan, Richard Branson or Steve Jobs? Not very many, but that doesn't make who they are or what they do any less relevant.

Great leaders have a higher calling and a higher responsibility to create and to lead a movement. What all the leaders I mentioned had in common is they created their movements and then the led them into a duplicable system for long-term success.

Hope that helps to clarify. :)

    Eric
  • Again, You hit the nail ...

There is no such thing as a "get-rich-quick"-button ... it's all about HARD WORK, one way or the other
  • hi Eric..there you were..only 2 blocks from me at the Sofitel..elephant riding to Sofitel Hotel-what a lifestyle!
Well this Video message re the secret sauce to success being hard and focussed work is definitely going out to TEAM members! People have always asked me this question...and now I realize why I am frequently frustrated when some people complain more about what isn't happening for them in their business then doing the work to make it all happen! Yes it is the truth! I believe hard work is key in any business venture!
Thanks Again Eric....look forward to Monday!

  • You hit the nail on the head, Eric! Too many people think that they can just think that they can join a company and success will just fall in their lap without even sharing their opportunity with anyone! That just isn't going to happen. If you spend time actually "working your plan", then success will follow if you put time into it. I'd rather work HARD for 5 years and be able to enjoy the rewards that network marketing offers than to just stay at my present job for 5 more years and continue to live the lifestyle that I've been living at the present moment!
Thanks for all your great advice and teachings. You are a true leader and it shows. Thanks for helping us see the rewards that we can receive with our hard work. And thanks most of all for your "giving" spirit!
Keep up the great work. God bless you and your family.
  • Eric -

Thank you for saying so! I think part of the rub people have with out great profession is that too often people stand in front of the room and make it sound like timing and spillover will accomplish the dream for you, just sign up now and you will win - not so fast. It does require work!

I have discovered that you have a choice, you can work hard or you can work smart, but either way you have to work. If someone hears the message "you must work in this business" and they are turned off, that is fine, they probably aren't right for this business. To build an organization that has long term viability you must mind 20% who are committed to the work, committed to do what is required to create the long term success.

Great advice, honest advice and hype free - my favorite kind!

As always great job Eric. You tell it like it is, so many people are looking for the quick fix. The word "work" is not really in their vocabulary. Why just isn't strong enough.
  • Wow- 50,000 phone calls? Sounds like he had a TERRIBLE system. I wonder how many of his people can duplicate that.
  • Well, your "secret to success" video will do a good job of weeding out the non players. When you put the "work" in network marketing it scares a lot of people off. Too many people are just not ready or willing to do the work.

That's why it all comes down to the "real" true secret to success. Which is having such a powerful "WHY" that you're willing and motivated to do just about anything to succeed.

"HE WHO HAS A WHY CAN BEAR WITH ALMOST ANY HOW" Nietzsche. Quoted by Victor Frankl from the book, "Man's Search for Meaning."
