I wish the lighting could have been better in that shot. I couldn't see your dad or your brother either. Your dad is right about respecting your mothers. I remember a long time ago I was helping a senior citizen care for her 6 grandchildren. This care was made much more difficult because their father was a native american. I am sure that not all native americans agreed with him. He told the children, three of whom were boys, that no indian child needed obey a squaw, especially a white one. Those boys would help her with nothing.

Amazing. Such great input from your dad Eric….

This vid makes me wish i had a father around all of my life. I am so appreciative for relationships likes this. My daily goal has been to allow my 3 children to get love and time from me everyday of my life. When i'm dead and gone they will remember and draw loads of value from what I meant to them. I'm their father 1st…but also a friend.

I have just discovered your website in the last 2 weeks
I have been telling my wife about the profound wisdom I am hearing here
And now I hear your father talk about biblical wisdom from Ephesians

Now I realise where you are getting it from. You cannot beat Christian heritage in a family line. Thank God for your dad Eric, you are walking in some great stuff there my man. I wise man leaves an inheritance for his kids, that's not just a physical inheritance, it's also spiritual and emotional.

Very lovely and sweet video. One of the reasons why I'm doing this business is because of my family, I wanted to give them the best… I want to travel with them and see the world. And soon, when I become a father, I will also do my best to give my children the best. That's one of my compelling reasons for this profession.

Hi Eric..thank you for sharing your Father with us. My folks are both 81 years young – thankfully still healthy, vibrant, and making the most of every moment. Truly blessings in my life. I love hanging with them – they have so much wisdom – I just keep being a good “sponge”. All my stories about my Dad are my favorites, but I will share Joe's most commonly said tidbit of wisdom with all of you: “To rest is to rust…” Enough said.

I'm going through all your videos here, about 2 to 3 a day trying to "catch up". Even though when I watched this video it's not fathers day, I sure did enjoy this video. Loved your interaction with your dad and his words of wisdom from the Bible. Thanks for your faithfulness in posting these videos each day.

The vacation before my last semester in college(this Christmas pass) i was having some anxiety problems. I had to take 7 courses in one semester including my senior design project. And i had overestimated what position i would be in my nm business by this time. I was very scared and felt like i had an impossible task ahead. and a little bit like a failure because i did not yet achieve my financial business goals. In addition after spending 5 years in a private university not on a full ride scholarship. It is a terrible time to be graduating and job hunting ( which i did not want to do).
I spoke to my dad while we were driving out in the country, and all he said was ” i had to be patient” then he started singing a song for me and the main part of the lyrics was ” hold on my child, the darkest hour of the night is just before dawn.”
It just brought total peace and calmness to me there and then, and even to this day i am not where i want to be in the business, but i'll hold on because the darkest hour of the night is just before dawn.
