NMPRO #99 – Thoughts on Attraction

July 16th, 2009 Email This

Just one more show to our 100th episode anniversary!  Amazing.  Today I talk about attraction vs. pursuit.  BIG difference in business and in life.  Hope you like it.  Question of the Day (QOTD):  Who do you spend your time with?  Those who love you or those who you want to love you?

I spend most of my time with my husband who is not the most positive person in the world. The exact opposite would be more correct. He says he loves me. I am not so sure.
  • Alfie
    Another great piece of advice.

99th comment on the 99th episode. Looking forward for the 100th.
  • Erik

This site is the best idea I have seen as far as teaching what needs to be learned about becoming a network marketing pro.

Thank You Eric for the previous 99 episodes. Looking forward to the next 1000 episodes.

    Hi Eric,

On the eve of the 100th show I'd like to personally thank you and congratulate you for the masterpiece that is 'NetworkMarketingPro.com'. You are an incredible ambassador for our profession and I defy anyone who has taken the trouble to honestly review the content of these first 99 shows to say that there isn't a revolution taking place in the world that will unveil this 'better way' as the only true free enterprise system in the world today.

We have been victims of the political and corporate 'con-trick' for far too long: victims of the greed and selfishness of those whom we were brianwashed into thinking we could trust! This is now our time to offer people a solution that is based upon a genuine concern for and a desire to help our fellow humans, as well as an urgent need to take responsibility for our own futures.

It used to be claimed that 'Communism was what would set the masses free'. The truth is that it's Entrepreneurship that will set the masses free in this new creative economy: our job, as we sit at the heart of that revolution and as you so often so eloquently state, is to go and tell the world!

Best regards and a happy centenary!

    Howard

Eric, can these be the same people? I have several people that are like family to me and it seems they fall into both catagories. I would have to say that I am looking for emotional connections with most people I meet.

Eric - Another interesting question. I had to stop and think about it for a while. . . I believe I balance between the two. I'm blessed to have a loving family, and alot of great friends, many of them longterm . They don't believe in all the things I do ( like Network Marketing as a business ) but are supportive in other ways . . so I spend time with them( the ones who love me ) and personally, find myself searching for someone to love me ( i'm divorced ) and that takes up my time, as I seem to be picky.
In business I dont feel the need to spend time "wanting" others to love me. I'm likeable I've been told, and I ignore the negative opinions the best i can. I've never spent time trying to convince someone to love me. . . but possibly have spent more time waiting to see if someone would eventually say they loved me ! Does that make sense ?
    Good questions , as always
Let me be amoung the first to wish you a very
Happy 100 Episode Anniversary, my friend... and another huge thank you for all that you do to enrich my life and help me to move the cobwebs out of the way to make room for my personal growth. I am a better person because of you and NMPro.
    Hugs
    Chris
  • eric, your the bees knees man. love the show....ive been watching from the start and FINALLY decided to get active and become a part of your community! cant wait for #100!!!
  • ericworre
Welcome! So glad you joined us! :)
  • Love it. I do try and spend much time with those I love. I find though, that if they are not on the same page with me, they tend to want to keep me poor, by keeping me from doing the things that make money.
  • ericworre
Yes you DO need to balance spending time with those who love you with those who are hurting you. Tough balance, but important.
  • QOTD: I spend almost all my time with those who love me. I have a tendency to take that blessing too lightly. The key phrase today listening to you was 'once I relaxed...' Relax from the mission, the goals, the list of doing now and I see I have to add that ... somehow.

    Thank you Eric.
  • alysewilliams
Great video Eric. Beautiful scenery and message. I look forward to following you.

  • ericworre
    Alyse,

Glad you like it and I'm looking forward to staying connected!
  • I spend time with my wife the most by far.. I am finding that chasing those you want to love you is ugly. Kind of like your example of begging someone to go out with you. Great episode. I get this and I agree. with you totally. Simple but true..

Is it fair to say that by following this rule and "Going Pro" is easier and once your there, people will seek you out as a business partner? And when that is the case can you consider yourself a NM PROFESSIONAL?

    Can't wait for tomorrow's episode.

Suggestion for the name for the group who have watched all 100 episodes. " NM PRO's CORE 100 GROUP"

  • ericworre
Going Pro and being known as one will make things much easier, that's for sure.
  • lelliott
Sometimes I have to a few of your videos at one sitting to catch up, so this morning I watched #97-99 before opening up Outlook for the morning blast of emails. I want to be prepared for #100 with a backlog. Your message about appreciating those who love you is so important. It's so easy to get too busy for our friends and family, but we must never forget that when times are tough, they are the ones who are there for us. It's certainly not our wannabe friends! You have inspired me to take a few minutes out of my overly busy days to pick up the phone and touch base with friends. Perhaps the best time to do it is in the car when not sitting in front of a distracting computer screen or a desk piled with paperwork.
  • ericworre
    Love it!
  • Great Message Eric... I Love You My Brother...:)
  • ericworre
Love ya right back dude. :)
  • stellawebber
You're are so right about this! Thank you for pointing to this important issue. I am always trying to keep things in balance, to spend enough time with my husband, my family and friends as well as spending time for my business.
Don't like to say no to my daughter when she asks me to babysit for her son, when I actually planned to work. So sometimes it's difficult to decide.

I enjoyed the MasterMind weekend in Amsterdam so much and now I have pictures in my mobile of you and me and Randy and me. I love to see you at the next Event, Eric.
  • ericworre
Can't wait to see you again also.
  • I am personally lucky because I get to spend time with those who really love me. And those I love as well. Those are the people that are my why in network marketing - even though they may not see the business the way I do.
  • ericworre
    And that's completely okay. :)
  • Great advice Eric. I aggree with that. I think if we spend too much time with people who we would want to love us and like us, we can alienate those who really do care about us. And where does that lead us? Probably to a life of loneliness.
Big show tomorrow - woo hoo!
    See you then.
  • ericworre
    Woo Hoo is right!

  • ido_aronson
... and the beautiful thing is, if you become a Pro - you "do it" the right way, you actually become a better person and therefore more attractive to other people.
Yesterday you were attractive to a few.
Today you become a better person, so tomorrow additional people will want to be associated with you.

Thus, if you spend time with the people that love you NOW, your circle of influence WILL get bigger.

    Isn't that great?!
  • ericworre
    Ido, YOU GOT IT
  • Good life lesson, you`re absolutely right my friend!
Take care, talk to you tomorrow.
    You`re biggest fan...
