Talk to more people. That is the solution for anybody that wants to do this business. Talk to more people!
Talk to more people! Talk to more people! Talk to more people! Talk to more people! Talk to more people!
  • John Spardella
As part of the challenge, I've decided to go back, watch the top 21 shows, and comment on them. Here I just picked up a GOLD nugget of information. When we talk to people we can now ask them if they've ever heard of Warren Buffet? Who hasn't? Do you know WB has put millions into buying up MLM companies because he believes strongly in our industry. That's powerful !
  • arboflye2
PLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEEE recover the part 4 of this interview!!!!!! :)

What a great learning experience and what a powerful story!
  • ericworre
Sorry everyone. I've updated people on the Network Marketing Pro fan page on Facebook and forgot not everyone here is a part of that community (although you should be).

I'm having some technical problems with my computer and have some experts working on it. I expect to get part 4 uploaded over the weekend.

I appreciate you all SO much!
  • martylaws
This interview was great but I wonder when we're going to see #4?
  • Eric. Are you ok? It's just that I've got used to hearing from you every weekday and I'm getting worried about you.....Oh, and I'm wanting to see number 4 too!

    Mark
  • LudioRodrigues
This was such a great interview, but I have to say the comments here are almost as great to learn from!

This is a true winner community of like minded people in search of prosperity. It couldn't feel any better.

    Congratulations Eric, Earl and everybody.
  • BillSeigh

  • What simple and Power advice

Treat Your Business like 1 million dollar Business and if you want to have Success you need: Talk to People, talk to People and Talk to MORE People!!!

    Graet advice Earl

My Regards four your Bigg efforts to improve our Network Market Business MR Eric Worre

    Regards,

    Sergio Carvallo
  • ericworre
The simple is always the most powerful.
  • I don't know if people can get their head around treating a $500 investment as a $Million investment, not sure I can either. I do know though, that everyone knows how to talk to more people. It then gets down to 'who actually does it, wins' !
  • enrique62
How would you talk to people?and What would you say?
  • Hi again Enrique. Rather than what I would say let's focus at what you could say.
Firstly what to say really depends on whether you are new in the business or have been in it for some time.
There are many generic trainers out there that teach scripts, a script for your friends, one for your family, one for the postman, one for the lawyer etc. In my opinion this doesn't duplicate.
The process I finally allowed myself to learn, and I say allowed because even I tried to do it my way and failed for months and months, so when you are ready to allow yourself to be coached go straight to Randy Gage's book 'How to Build A Multi-Level Money Machine'. The book is available at http://is.gd/2epnN and also available as an immediate eBook download. (Hope Eric doesn't mind me posting that url but I couldn't find anything that Eric has done that doesn't mention companies. Randy's book is completely generic. No companies mentioned etc).
Go through the sections 'Getting Started Fast' and 'Power Prospecting'. Then let me know how you go.
If you still need help then Eric might be able to do a show on this specific topic. Would be a great addition to his already powerful resource.
  • enrique62
    Thanks Tony
  • enrique62
People don't treat NW as a business because they don't know how. We have been conditoned since kindergarten to do specific taks and get a reward.
  • ericworre
Sad but true. That's why Network Marketers are my heroes. They don't conform.
  • enrique62
I guess, this is where duplication breaks down. Yes, Mr Shaw makes $100,000 per month but "talking to people, talking to people, talking people" is a general statement. This is like a native english speaker telling someone who wants to learn english, just do it.
Did he go to a Mall and chase everyone asking what?Do you want to make $1 million in NW?

It would more helpful if Eric would show how he invites people? What exactly he says to them? How does he follow up? How does he do a presentation? How does he builts duplication in his group? What techiniques does he use to built depth and security so he can have a residual income if he wants to retire?
What % of all the people he has sponsored are leaders? How does he built a culture of growth and honesty? How does he retain the people he has sponsored?
  • ericworre
All great additional follow up questions I would have asked if I was a better interviewer. Maybe we can get him back for another interview
  • It's not that complicated. As Earl said, he was excited, told them it was exciting, drove to their house, kept his mouth shut and played the video (or whatever the tool was). Anyone can do that.
The biggest problem I had was talking too much, and like you, trying to figure out what to say and how they did it before talking to people. Again, as Earl says, you can learn the scripts all you like but that's really a waste of time.
In my opinion, if your 'why' and your belief is big enough then you'll know what to say and more importantly you will actually take the jump and do it.
Hope that helps. Regards from Tony.
  • Li no
    Eric,

Love your interviews, but Earl didn't really answer your questions...on how he specifically got his business to such an incomne level in 1 month?

    Lino
  • ericworre
    He actually did. :)
  • Li no
    Eric,

Earl never really answered your questions about what he specifically did to wet his businsss off the ground and to that income level.

    Lino
  • Thanks Eric! Everyday you have the best info a person could get that is in our business. Wow these video's with Earl Shaw are amazing! If he can do it anyone can!
  • ericworre
    You are Welcome! :)
  • Dundie Shaw Crisp
The main point he is making about 'treat your business like a million dollar business', (he's not saying the DMO is exactly like or similar to a traditional business) but to treat your network marketing business as seriously as you would IF... as if.... you had invested or risked a million $ for it (like most brick & mortar/traditional business opptys run) instead of $100, $299 or $5k (like we started w/ back in the day).

With a traditional biz folks expect to plan your work, work your plan, get wise counsel, find a success story/mentor/example-- that is working and model it, show up early, stay late. You would "do it NOW", not procrastinate. You'd work outside your comfort zone. You would not throw in your towel when you had a bad day, month or even year~ we are proof of that w/ Stereo Dallas : ( You would not run down the street and open a different franchise or law firm or dress shop, etc when the going got tough... or when the journey to success required more time than you expected. IF you spent or committed to mega bucks invested to start your biz, NWM or traditional, your resolve to stay the course and 'own' it would be pretty bazuka proof.. EVEN with the stats on paper of the %'s that fail in their 1st 1 to 5 yrs. Just some of what I know we learned and are still learning along the way.. Best of success today to you! Press on!!
  • Thanks Dundie. I thought that's what he meant to say. It never came out.

I guess that's what happens from living in a trailer house on a dirt road, miles from a black top road! <grin>

What's the old saying about joining a NWM company...... too easy to get in and far too easy to get out!

You would think with the low cost of entry everyone would join in a heart beat. They don't. Why not?

That leads to their "WHY" for not joining. Lack of faith that they will succeed. Why bother.

That very story is true for those many in NWM and those that had huge teams in NWM. It can take years to recruit these people once they've set their minds to move on from NWM as a viable business opportunity.

That's why it's paramount for the "Leadership" to re-invest in their business and help the new people build their business. I've thought for years the tools should be cheaper. AOL became huge by giving away their DVD. That would work for NWM.

    Thanks for clarification.

  • Dundie Shaw Crisp
    Hi there Paul,

Yes so much has changed over the years, for the better too. Tools are usually free or nearly free. Technology, company websites with the biz op presentations and trainings on there, all free. Webinars are a great tool for oppty & for training... no cost to the team. Quality of leadership and care for your team is paramount. Leaders develop more leaders and success stories at all levels in their teams by linking arms and going together and celebrating every victory, little ones mainly... once you make it big, you need the acknowledgment less, but seems that's when you tend to get it more! ??? I like to watch that closely... That goes a long way with retention.

Back in 87 our company had a $5k desired entry level so you could start off earning as a Direct, as you know... so if you recruited a dozen @ $5k who all did the same, your sales volume was pretty large and over the years, we had over 30k people in our organization in 11 countries throughout N. America and Europe... and the big part of our checks as NMD's was the 3% commission. I know it.. incredible! it was. Yeah, we were working hard and fast that first year for sure, but we had some other factors in our favor... that co's growth, the headline news about the water and air....an alternative to buying bottled water.. but with the growth, the incomes, the attraction to not miss the business/income opportunity was created~!

Earl called it "like magic dust" when all those things happen and many million dollar annual earners are being created..

THEN, what will the person DO with that increased income level?? Do they learn new spending habits? New financial disciplines? Is there the strength to put away the part for income taxes? Are they able to do well with the earnings and have their money working for THEM, creating additional income streams.... or are they back to needing an opportunity every 3, 5 or 7 years???? hmmmmm.

So, comp plans, start up cost, etc. and regulations changed. What has not changed is the power a person's desire to dream, desire to be a part of a group that endeavors to make a difference. The hope to create a better quality of life, time freedom, even if their oppty is just paying the bills.. desire for time freedom... or getting an additional stream of income that brings real financial independence & financial peace. The power of linking with people of like minds and like faith...
OK, don't get me started preaching!!!! LOL.

I think lots of times what is lacking is strong enough belief in the industry AND belief in yourself....that it could actually work "for me". As far as a comp plan, It's a math equation and no respecter of persons..

As far as building a team and growing lots of strong members at every level..The strength of a person's influence is certainly a key when it comes down to getting somebody to "look" and then invite them & get them to join you, & then find out what it is that they want from the biz and when. And help them determine IF and what they are willing to do to accomplish it.

My success has been from finding out what each person's goal was/is and helping them reach it. No matter what size their goal was. A few earn a lot and a lot earn a little.... historically, industry wide. Great thoughts and questions you are posting!

Sorry to be so long... just thinking out loud here I guess....this is not my blog...but great to hear your thoughts and valid concerns...

    Warm regards,

    Dundie
  • >>>The power of linking with people of like minds and like faith... <<<

    This is critical.

    >>>>I think lots of times what is lacking is strong enough belief in the industry AND belief in yourself....that it could actually work "for me". As far as a comp plan, It's a math equation and no respecter of persons..<<<

Do you remember Startronix out of New Port Beach (1997) http://sn.im/ps321 ? A binary program with a portable computer as the product. I joined and within 4 months I had over 4,000 people with about 3,800 in one leg and 200 in the other. I know what it feels like to have exponential growth and the pain when you still don't make any money.

Or World Class Network 1996, where it grew to 2,000 for me in 12 months only to have then come under FTC STIPULATED FINAL JUDGMENT - http://sn.im/ps390 I'll never forget the guy I found online who purchased $5,000 in kits. I felt bad later with compnay issues. He laughed it off as he was earning $15,000 per month in Herbalife from his Korean teams, he was Asian living in Texas. I often wonder what's he making now.

Or Quorum in 1994 with an exciting program that ended up imploding.

I certainly believe in the industry and I know what is possible.

You've heard of "affiliate programs" like Clickbank. There are people making sales daily and earning thousands of dollars daily with no team. Only their marketing skills.

There's a guy named Tissa, that created a search engine and has recruited over 100 people weekly for his programs for over a year.

There is no reason top earners in NWM can't create similar programs to build their business. Thus removing the people factor in terms of "belief." As you said>>>It's a math equation and no respecter of persons..<<<

Once recruitment is reduced to a simple equation (which Ann Sieg, Mike Dillard, Tissa are doing) building any business becomes an investment issue vs. one of time, comfort or experience level.

We know people want and need more money! That's the "WHY" of the world! Who's going to say no to more more money????

I'm looking to bridge that gap between affiliate programs & MLM. However I don't like selling pricey products just to build a list. And having them sell the same products. I believe in sharing the knowledge.

It all comes back to integrating old school and new school.

I'll be looking forward to your interview with Eric.

I love hearing a woman's perspective on NWM, it's more appealing. A kinder, gentler NWM.

    Thanks for your input.

    Paul
  • Dundie Shaw Crisp
I've heard many trainers including my parents say about this industry, "keep the main thing, the main thing".

A few things come to mind when it comes to our legitimate business oppty's/NWM:

    1) If the product is one that there is need for, "Marketplace Demand"-,if it gets results ,& would be desirable to purchase even without an oppty to earn $ from doing so,

    2) and is "Consumable", do the work on that 'sale' once and get paid again and again when it is repurchased. (The work on getting the product sold can be a one time effort, but building the rapport with the person purchasing, customer service to your clients, & those who are also working w/ you to build a biz, is a daily lifestyle of relationship building. Then you have loyal product users and a team who respects you, knows, likes & trusts you.

3)And the message that it is wrapped-in meets "Timing & Trends". Today, looks like it's the economy, health & wellness revolution, health care & technology.
--In 1987 we had 3rd party documentation everywhere w/ the news of the need for cleaner, safer water & air. In the gold coin biz, we had the news of the National Debt, government closing down for a day on the news, 3rd party ads that again, no company could ever pull off, bringing attention to the need to have gold vs only the USDollar.
--Maybe that is part of that 'magic dust'..timing where the headlines are educating people on the need for what ever we offer as a product. And lots of folks are good at tapping into that as a tool to promote. The gift of "telling the story", the company's and your personal story.
---Back in '87 we were still in a recession, our industry thrives in an unsteady economy because people are more open minded to looking at ways to earn additional income. Timing again. And whether they have ITC, of too cool or too comfortable, or regardless of their circumstances, they may be willing to look at a plan B. NWM attracts people from all walks of life. I love it that the teams are full of people from all walks of life.

IF you have the 3 key factors mentioned above, then you need:

    4) "Ability to leverage your time"- J. Paul Getty's famous line, "I would rather have 1% of 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own. NWM vs Direct Sales. To benefit for starting a group that becomes viral. We are paid for our influence. For access.

So, having these key factors in place with your solid company of choice...now what? It does not work well until you build a network of consumers... a team. The % that in traditional biz goes to advertising to get access to the consumers... in NWM goes to us... We are the advertisers we get paid for our influence, the NWM co gains access to more consumers due to our influence. They pay for influence and access in the comp plan..

----So! Isn't the main thing... having a team? Building a team and helping them build a team, and duplicate that?

That so much has changed and figuring out how to integrate old school & new school -to build a team-could be a slight edge. We have never done that... warm market, -people we knew or met along the way, was our only experience. But talking to people is the key regardless of how you are finding people to talk to. And casting your vision that catches their attention. People seem to like to follow the leader. Where there is no vision..the people perish. OK, I'm preachin' again...

-----The part that has not changed is the need to be able to influence people & build a team. I personally do not like the word "list", although technically, I have one. I'm too into the people part of the industry...so "list" is too impersonal for me ; ) For me, this is the people business, relationship marketing, build a team and THEN the compensation for your influence is a "MATH EQUATION"! I know people who made pocket change in the same companies I made a ton in. So our abilities to influence created teams that the math equation, being no respecter of persons, simply calculated and printed the checks. Same product, same company, comp plan, different effectiveness on level of influence. It's about being able to gather some people who will gather. . So, I have to always be willing to grow and work on myself to be better at relationships, & finding a need and fill it.

Your team is small, you earn on that sales volume, your team is multiplying and soars, same pay plan. 3% of a lot of people is a lot of money earned! 3% to 100% of nothing is....

The advantages of high-tech has its merit but somehow, keeping the high-touch/human element is paramount. If you can build relationships with technology, and many can and are... ie: social media marketing- facebook, twitter, etc. and create that "list" of people who come to know, like and trust you..you are building a relationship & if you influence them to join you on your journey, then you have married old school and new school a bit. I have made some great connections w/ those tools and I am working on learning more about that. I love the tech tools we have now but do not want to walk past people in my daily life-of my personal and business contacts- while I am trying to figure out the new school and then have them calling me to try to get me to sign up in their new biz.... when I am already IN!!! Yikes! Thus, Pearl & I worked with urgency to get a team started and helped them sponsor and build, and so on.

I work with men and women and always have in NWM... This industry for me is about matters of the heart.......... ahhh the softer side of NWM ; ) and it resonates with people.

Pursuing a better quality of life and meaningful relationships to enjoy the journey with!!!

Mushy, mushy, mushy.. oh well, you remember me.... the girl in the middle of the big empty livin' room cryin'... and 'ya still got me"' !!!!!!!!!

OK, now that I have content for my next BOOK !!!!! Help, I am falling off my soap-box,

    Dundie
  • Dundie, excellent points! You're great on your soap box. I love to hear sermons preach on!

I had forgotten all about the gold programs of the 80's. I knew some really strong leaders out of Oklahoma. (memory fading)

Recently, my sister joined facebook. She was always a great networker and a social person. She's one to stay in touch with everyone she's ever met. Not me. I've never sent Christmas cards or kept lists (I do now, the money is in the list.)

How do we merge old school and new school. It dawned on me this morning.

My sister is using fb's family application to connect with family members. I ignored her request to do so, I'm ITC doing my thing!

But wait a minute, I thought today. What better way to share an opportunity than fb & twitter with family.

They see your profile and family pictures. You can create "private" groups only for family members. Thus meeting relatives you've never met as each other connects from one to another from a private invite to the family group.

They see your face, immediate family pictures, read your comments and best of all learn more about you and what you do all from your personal profile. No need to pitch an opportunity. Those who's interest is peaked will contact you. (How many unknown family members are involved with NWM, where do they live, what else are they involved in doing, how many sail or bowl?)

You can create more "private" groups for neighbors on your block to discuss issues. Work groups. Political groups, each separate, yet ALL connected via your fb personal profile and their personal profile and a "twitter" account. Now you are "attracting" those closest to you via blood, known or unknown family members, friend or friends of friends and building relationships.

Now there is no need to personally contact family members to give a pitch or set any appointments to give unwanted pitches (yes it will take time for many to get online) when you can invite them to fb and participate at any level they choose.

Links from your personal profile tell your story thus providing personal insight into you, your likes, passions, goals and where you are headed. They learn as much or as little as they chose to learn. Accept and filter out as they go.

TIME is money and so few people have time with long commutes, family obligations, work commitments. It's a daunting task for the average person to entertain building a business. Doing so is a JOB no matter what MLMer's think.

Who can't ask a family member, friend, co-worker are they on facebook & share fb links. How many of your family is already online and you haven't connected yet?

Now this is truly a NO BRAINER!!!! And it's free. Now it's possible to bound global distances with a single link and start to really enjoy this thing called Network Marketing! This is New School and it makes SENSE!!! ( I love the book THINK & GROW RICH.", that's all you need to succeed in life)

In 1995 during my World Class Networking days. I ran an ad and a guy joined and built a huge group of 2,000 out of the Chicago area ( I live in CA.)

I've always hated meetings and find them time consuming, boring and repetitious, never any fun (ok, some were, or at least afterwords).

I came up with the idea of having a Hawaiian Luau as World Class Network was a travel company. I thought that would be a fun idea and they could still have a brief meeting.

We put together $10,000 and people came from far and near and a few groups bussed, yes bussed people to the event! No, I did not attend as I lived in CA. The event was very successful it created excitement, huge vol in sales and lots of new recruits. They all had a great time! (Yes, they ran out of food).

Point being, there is no reason, NWM can't truly be FUN! It's doesn't always have to be so scripted and boring in terms of the meetings and events. It's people having fun that creates excitement and new people wanting to join them.

To get people to say yes, their minds MUST be opened! They have to SEE themselves being involved. If they see themselves as having to SELL as you're inviting or pitching them their mind shuts down and a NO, STOP, CAUTION appears to them. They wondering what's up! What now! Why would I. What's in it for me????? Who will this benefit me or him???

Put people in a comfortable environment and you get totally different results. That's the whole point of "marketing" which is void in NWM. It's really Network (follow what hasn't worked) Marketing. People are excited on this board with Earl's comments. Some disbelieved you guys earned $40,000 plus your first month. That's a moot point. Point being was you got a check your first month! How rare is that in NWW. RARE!!!

Maybe that's why good con-men always find a way to con people. They make you fell comfortable they feed on what makes you feel good. If people have ITC, that's great, meet them on their terms.

If Bob loves to sail ( you've targeted Bob as a great prospect) and has a JOB. Find a NWM person that has a yacht and post pictures of you on that yacht during the week. Bobs, see's them on fb and aks how is that possible you can sail during the week???? Extreme example.

Love you Dundie. Looking forward to that interview!

Well, we could not believe our check was $41,308.60 EITHER! It was a big deal! I was believing to make $4k that first month! We surpassed my goal.

NSA flew us to Memphis, TN and actually 'presented' the check to us.... It was a company record..the largest first month check they had ever written...

THEN, the following month, one of our first "6", a wonderful couple we sponsored named Bill & Em Johnson, had a first month check that was larger than ours. Like maybe $43k or something like that.

Glenn Miller's assistant, from nsa home office, drove us to the the Bank of Commerce... really!!! and we CASHED it! THAT is another story. I have a copy of it right here on my wall in front of my desk... ck # 021778 National Bank of Commerce, Memphis, Tennessee.

I agree with having fun... that's another layer of super-glue!

    Blessings, Dundie
  • ericworre
Dundie, you my friend are a powerhouse. When do we get your lovely face in an interview of your own??
  • Dundie Shaw Crisp
    Eric,
I WOULD like to talk to you on a couple of things! Looked for your email address but did not find. When you get a minute pls send me an email if you would ; ) dundie@dundie.com
  • Now, we're talking!!!!

    Paul
  • ericworre
Dundie, short or long, your posts and your enthusiasm are very welcome here. Keep em coming!
  • Million dollar nuggets.. I love the 3 rules of Network Marketing.
Great content guys. Keep up the quality interviews Eric.
I look forward to tomorrows episode.
    God Bless

    BB
  • ericworre
Thanks for all your support my friend. Now go kick some ass!
  • Oh my good God Guys... what a wake up call Eric & Earl. Who's with me to treat what we have as a million dollar business from this moment on?
  • ericworre
I am! But I need to treat mine like a $10 million dollar business! :)
  • We need more thought provoking questions put to these leaders. Like: How much of your monthly income do you re-invest in your business? What services do you provide your team? Works really working for your team? What is your retention rate? Are you s...till recruiting monthly? How many do you recruit? Do you have walk-away income?

Eric, I'm just trying to help you out.

    Paul
  • ericworre
Good thoughts Paul. Thanks, I'll put these ideas to use in coming interviews.
  • Here's what you say to a person who can't find their "why."
"Dear friend, lets both pray your boss fires you tomorrow."
  • ericworre
Haha, would provide some motivation for sure. At least you'd think so. SOOOO many people who've been fired still have chronic ITC disease.
  • I spoke with one of my mentors the other day and he said the exact same thing. Most people don't treat this business like a business. Talk to more people, I've heard that before. If you don't talk to anyone your business certainly will not grow.
  • ericworre
Thanks for your comments and your long-time support. I appreciate it.
  • Treat your business like a million dollar business!!!!

Here's the problem: How do you treat it, like a "million dollar business, if you never earned had a traditional business?" What are the details???? Make a list of friends and family members??? Is that how you made millions in stereo sales???? I don't think so. You had a store front on a corner in Dallas. You advertised, you attend events with your business! You did business in a business like fashion!

Did you run your stereo business with a "WHY?." The WHY is over rated. Too many prospects have their "WHY's" not to do the business and that must be respected. It's not a one sided street. We need to get real and start "marketing" and attract business. We must act like real business people and not like people with businesses that should be kept behind closed doors. We should respect friends and families and get away from the we're doing them a favor crap a JOB is bad! NSA as a viable water filter biz died as did Quorum, World Class Network, WLG, Startronix and hundreds if not thousands of other lousy NWM businesses. That's just the truth! That message stinks loud and clear. It's an odor that has caused many successful NWM to abandon the industry in terms of actually being a rep. In fact Eric, you chose to be a NEW owner. How did that work out for you and those reps???

Earl, misfortune, was your key to success. It was the driving force that changed your life! It cured you of your ITC disease. We certainly don't wish this upon our friends and family members. For me ITC is "I'm too comfortable." That's what prospects say.

    {I'm in this club. I worked for IBM for 28 years, bridged to retirement and have not had a JOB since 1994. I'll get my first SS check next month. I get a rental check monthly, the wife works and Uncle Sam will send a check to my 16 yr old daughter until she's 19. I say all this because a JOB is not bad when combined with a NWM check. It's purely an "additional income stream." This is the time to invest NWM income in to real estate and other ventures. NWM has never provided me with a stable income and I've done it for over 15 years. Don't forget the 97% that fail.}

OK, do three things 1) talk to more people, 2) talk to more people, 3) talk to more people.

That's equivalent to real estates 1) location, 2) location, 3) location. We all know how that worked out.

Bottom line: In today's fast paced, globally connected world reaching people is not the problem. Converting those people to business partners is the problem. People now must differentiate between a scam and what's real. A traditional business, an investment, NWM biz or nothing.

People are failing daily in NWM and million dollar earners are far and few between. This is not easy.

I have over 1200 in an ad company that's on the rocks, I won't show it to anyone. Yet others promote it daily. It's not easy for prospects to make that leap of faith with our dismal NWM track record. Note Amway & Avon are adverting like crazy. Did you know AVON is the number one NWM biz in the world?

I complain about going to meetings (and I don't attend any). Yet Eric, routinely jumps on a plane and travels thousands of miles to do a meeting. That says NWM has changed when a top earner has to travel the world in order to keep the income flowing.

If Eric, did not make those trips, his business would die, that's a fact. That shows there is a lack of leadership in those countries and that we have issues with NWM in our duplication model. Randy Gage mentioned that in a video I saw, he said we need more leaders. I believe this to be true of all NWM programs.

However, is it really leadership or stronger leaders??? Has NWM gotten easier with all our tools? Thus making it harder to recruit and retain because prospects are being bombarded daily with NWM & other business offers???

Earl, eluded to this when he said, today it would be harder to recruit people at $5,000 and a monthly $5,000 qualify. Yet when you look around at the number of people making a million a year they are far and few between in NWM. At the top of the real estate market many earned million yearly in real estate sales and mortgages.

Eric, kind of snubbed his nose at the $100,000 earners! Eric, if that's the case what do you think of the 10,000, $1,000 or $100 per month earners?????? I think you're missing the big picture here!!!! I don't think that was your intention but that's how you're coming across in the video, not good!!!!! Teach people how to earn $100 monthly. That's how you get to a million dollar earner. You might want to "edit" that out. <grin>

It's great to meet and hear these million dollar earners. However, the focus should be on getting the new rep to earn his monthly keep! His start up money, his monthly commitment.

When Earl, left NSA, I don't believe he started over. He took people with him as the business was crashing. I was just joining, I and many others were left holding the bag. He had the list of builders and he moved on as did Jeff Olsen, Kevin Blackburn, Matthew Nestler, Dwayne Davis and you Eric. This is our NWM story, a story of failing businesses over and over a gain, not good.

If top leaders would take Earl's advice and treat their business like a "million dollar" business they would "INVEST" monthly not in air fare running around locally, nationally or globally. But invest in marketing strategies in compliance with company polices. The new person would have a better system to work with, than making a list of family and friends! How innovative is that????? It's not! Let's get real!!!

Take your big bucks, create co-ops and get the message out there. This is how a traditional million dollar business is run. They use marketing not a list of friends and family members to succeed.

Sorry for the long content. But with no inter action and thought process how can we grow. I realize most don't have the luxury of time I have. Hey what can I say, I did my 30 years and now have a true residual check! It's only 20 years to retirement in the military. (Food for thought)

Just my opinions. Wishing everyone well.

  • I love it -- thanks for sharing. I would encourage you to send this post to a top money earner for analysis of why you've NWM has never made you a stable income.
    Two facts to share:
    1. 93% of people fail at everything - not just NWM.
    2. There are literally thousands of top money earners (people making over $100 k a year). You don't hear from most of them.

Great interview, Eric & Earl. I got three crucial principles out of it: 1) Know your "why", have a burning desire to achieve it; 2) Treat it like a million dollar business; 3) Talk to people, talk to people, talk to people... Now to implement all this....
  • Earl

That sounds really amazing. 41.200 USD on your first month?

Just by inserting a VHS Tape into the prospects own player. A more than 1 hour tape?

There must have been a secret...

    What was it, Earl?

    Really...

    Love you all

  • Alfredo, the comp plans were different then. Once you moved to the Director level you could thousands per sale. A very small group could generate this type of income quickly. People were NOT as knowledgeable about NWM or MLM. Big cars, flashy rings, income chatter all created momentum and excitement that produced sales. It was a different world. From that world came new regulations and business models that are in place today. No more front loads of $5,000 or garages filled with products. Huge horror stories for many! Many lives shattered.

Great series, looking forward to 4 a 4.
  • It's true... if I had written a check for a million dollars, I would be doing some things differently. I'm not sure what they are, but maybe I should start with those three keys....
  • What is it about human that seems to require a visit to our own personal 'hell' before we 'get' our why in a way that puts us into accelerated committed action? Do you have to lose everything before you figure it out? How many times do you have to lose everything before you actually 'get it?' Our personal bottom of the pit either owns us or we figure out our escape. Is anyone able to explain how to raise the floor of the pit to where someone is now?

Posture...posture...posture along with tell more people, talk with more people, meet more people....

    Thank you Eric.
  • There are two true motivators: inspiration and desperation. Unfortunately desperation is about 100 times more effective.
