September 1st, 2009 Email This

Another question I get all the time is “When do I get to slow down and have residual income”?  Here is the best formula I know.  Question of the Day (QOTD):  What do you love BEST about Network Marketing?

Another great video and good information. I love network marketing for the simple reason of meeting and growing relationships with people. It's an amazing time to get out there and talk to so many people. You never know - tomorrow or the next day you might meet someone who becomes a trailblazer within your organization or may become one of the closest friends you'll have in your life. This industry rocks.

I love being able to help people. I love the fact that people can succeed in this business who could not succeed any other way. Eric, I appreciate you giving us these videos. I hope sometime to be able to meet you in person. Thank-you. Alice

Wow is this a University or is it! Really good stuff. To start to understand the structure of the business is so important so we know where to spend our time.
    Wow
  • Great show Eric .... got nervous - I thought the garbage truck was my kids' school bus! :-)

Excellent advice. Too many folks walk away before their business matures - bad mistake. This is the most enjoyable business ever, so why walk away anyway!

    Best to you,
    Scott

This is a big secret :)

Another great segment - thanks Eric - Paula
  • Very simple to understand. Thanks Eric.. For everything.

QOTD: The people, finding people who are all like minded and want the better things in life. whatever that means to them. That everyone encourages each other and cheers for each others success. The company I am with is a group of dynamic, amazing people. I have yet to find a bad person in the group. I guess I'd say I love everything about it.!
  • This is the formula to the Holy Grail of residual income...

What I LOVE about Network Marketing is that it totally levels the winning and earning playground for anyone that is serious about finding a "shortcut" to creating serious wealth quickly....it doesn't happen overnight...there is a big learning curve...you have to become more than you are...but the 3, 4, 5 year investment it is worth it in terms of who you become and who you help along the way...
  • This is something I wish would have been emphasized when I got in. Instead I got, with all good intention, the first 48 hours is the most important, the fist 72 hours is the most important. New associates are made or broken in the first 48 hours. So much pressure and so little truth once I learned the story of so many successful network marketers who struggled for so long and then crossed over and began building. Don't get me wrong, I believe the beginning is very important but I'm worried about setting people up for failure. Knowing that time and effort has to be put in is reassuring. Hard work I and a lot of other people aren't afraid of, if there's potential down the road.
  • What I love best about Network Marketing is that it is the only business in the world where you can not succeed at a massive level without helping others to do the same.

Many blessings for great success in all you do.

I really challenge folks to think about MLM and residual income. I went all the way back to my paper route., think about jobs you have created for yourself. you definitely need a schedule in 30 min increments. we have to think about discipline. some people really dont have that kind of focus. if not, it will not work foryou. follow up is essential. and if you can do other 30 minutes then do it. it depends on what you want to accomplish. you must be able to keep your eyes on the prize. what is the reason you were attracted to this kind of work?

    Hi Eric,

Thanks a lot for this video, I show your episodes to others, to answer their questions :)
  • Great show Eric,

I'm glad that you put the empahasis on the focused work that Network Marketing is in the begining, and you are absolutely right nothing comes for free or over night - and the big secret in NM is exactly that, to empower others to reach their dreams and get rewarded for it!

QOTD: That I can earn an unlimited income (I set the barriers) by helping others toachive their goals - does it get any better?
  • QOTD: The self development + the simplicity of the process. These two go hand in hand.
Without the self development it is REALLY hard to grasp the simplicity.

    Eric,

Thanks to you and Randy and Netwrok Marketing Pro, I Love my profession--still learning and coachable--but would not change a thing. (QOTD): I love most the personal growth and the people/relationships I have gained along the way. I do not believe that my (MIA) sponsor ever told me it would be easy--because it certainly is not--but I would not trade all the work and learning that goe swith the work--for another income base.

    Just Thank you!!

FYI: My Maltese thought you garbage truck was in her driveway--funny--realistic!

Network marketing opens up the way to dreaming again and making dreams come true. After being told throughout my adult life that we have to take what there is, be practical and dreams are for kids, I met network marketing and everything changed.

One of my dreams, other than achieving financial freedom is training others big time - like 20,000 in a stadium.
For me this can happen only through Network Marketing.
  • QOTD - The relationships that are created, I mean real, genuine relationships, that end up lasting over and above the network marketing business... FYI... Great explanation on Residual Income via NM! Where else can you get this type of a residual and take people with you? Not many places...

How does the reorder rate / attrition figure into this equation? The lower the reorder rate, the greater the attrition, the more "big hitters" you need to replace the attrition (sustain your residual income). With a higher reorder rate and less attrition, you need fewer big hitters.
When you depend on a small number of people to do alot, loosing one makes a big difference. Verses having a whole lot of people doing a little. With a whole lot of people doing a little, loosing one person makes a smaller difference, hence more reliability. The reliability of the residual income, while dependant on the future of the company, is largely affected by the reorder rate / attrition. Reorder rate and attrition is largely affected by the "value" the companies products bring to the customer. The real issue with reliable residual income then becomes... How much continuous growth do you need to off set the attrition rate. New customers = attrition of old customers. Does this make sense and what are your thoughts on this as it pertains to your video that I just watched. I appreciate your videos very much. Keep up the good work.

Mike, you've complicated the process IMO. It all sounds good reorder rate / attrition etc. Bottom line for me in any program find 3 committed people! That's it. It's a done deal. You;re finished through etc. The ONLY way you can fail now, and I mean the only way to FAIL is for the company to fail. That's it. PERIOD!

You see, if we know the out come in advance with "certainty" (that's my new word in NWM) that all three will succeed you aren't even a factor. You can quit, thus zero reorder and retention for your business, you've quit the business, moved on so to speak.

The other three had tremendous reorder rates & retention, wheher it took 1, 5 or more than 20 years. Those three committed people you sponsored went on to success, that was the given in the equation.

Sponsoring "committed" people, "CERTAINLY" with "CERTAINTY" insures your success no matter the other variables (as long as the business survives).

    I hope this helps.

Eric, this is very clear explanation! Thank you!

QOTD: I Love the relationships we get to build! The friendships, connections, and team work are sensational and priceless!!
  • QOTD: The number of people I can help, make a difference with, support in having their dreams come true is what keeps me in this profession. Working at a job for someone the difference I can make is a much smaller set and I had very little control over who and when. Network Marketing, if it were a game, is about insuring as many people as you can to win. IF you go for the win yourself.... you always lose. Nearly backwards from every other career path.
  • QOTD: the fact that we build our success by helping others do the same.
  • This is an excellent conversation about the profession we're in as distinct from the lottery mentality some people imagine it to be. Funny that if you give 100% of your effort 40% of the time you'd give a salaried job, you can end up with a business that spins off cash flow. So what if it takes 5 or 10 years? It isn't going to happen as an employee...ever.

    Thanks, Eric.

I like this formula very much, its accurate and true. If you were to find those 3 people your very first week in the business you could quit and walk away. If they're so committed to their success in the business.

It only takes one new person per month and them duplicating you to have a team in the thousands.

It's just that simple. So why is it so hard????? What the real problem???

Because, people "believe" they can succeed, then later believe they can't.

Because people have faith they can succeed, and later wonder why their faith has failed them.

Move from believing & faith to knowing with "CERTAINTY" and it will happen.

If a lottery manager said, he "believes" you'll win the lottery would you purchase a ticket?
If he said I have "faith" you'll win the lottery would you purchase a ticket?

What if he said, it's a "CERTAINTY" you'll win the lottery, would you purchase a ticket?

That applies to everything in life when you interject "certainty" into the equation.

    I hope this helps.

    Paul
