  • Quoting the "perfect formular", from the user azmichelle from a police forum. There's nothing more to add, she's right on the spot:

"Okay, here is the real secret to eating healthy.

Don't take away foods. Deprive yourself and you'll find yourself over indulging. Instead ADD food!

You are going to eat what you are going to eat period. So don't deprive yourself. If you are diabetic you didn't get there overnight. It took some time. So... take some time to do it the right way.

    Add food.

Like broccoli? Cool! Add 1/2 cup daily. Fresh, steamed, boiled, whatever your preference.

Like bananas? Great! Add 1 cup daily.

Every 2-3 days find a veggie or fruit you *really* like and add 1/2-1 cup daily. Don't deprive yourself, add food!

Day one, add 1/2 cup of broccoli. I mean EVERY day. Eat it before the cheese and pop tarts.

Day three... add 1/2 - 1 cup bananas. Eat it before you eat your regular food.

Day five... add 1/2 cup carrots or whatever veggie you like and enjoy. This means you are eating 1/2 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup banana, and 1/2 cup carrots BEFORE you eat your other food.

In time you will be eating sooooo many fruits and veggies OF YOUR CHOICE that there simply won't be room for the crap foods.

Typically it takes three weeks to get used to a new diet. Within three weeks there won't be room for mega buttered popcorn, Chocolate, and porterhouses. Honestly, you will be craving the foods you have been adding.

Don't deprive yourself, eat what you want. Then add more foods. Soon you will crave the good stuff and amazingly, your desire for the bad stuff won't be nearly as strong as the good stuff."

A good online leadership training class. That' what this feels like. Keep the valuable information coming. Love it.

Eric Lofholm has an expression that fits here. The universe knows. The universe rewards you. If you are supposed to be making 100 calls a day and get 4 appointments on the first 7 calls then stop calling, you owe the universe 93 calls.

  • So far, this part is the best in the series! The "going to the beach" analogy is powerful. And, the only way to success is doing the things that you don't want to do and that are uncomfortable...Thanks Eric, I really needed this again...
  • Erik
This is leadership training on a very high level

I'm glad there's something I can now do for you. I've six years experience with a nutrition-based company and learned a lot (also lost 12 pounds!). I think the easiest thing for you to do as step 1: start shopping for food only in organic shops. So even when you do eat chocolate or corn chips - you're not eating junk. Step 2: always have fit & pro on you and just keep telling yourself over and over again - those are your snacks. Step 3: get yourself a juicer and have fresh juice (with juicers you get the healthy enzimes that help in optimal digestion and detoxification). My favorite is carrot-apple-ginger (organic).
And above all - drink your 8 glasses of (tap filtered) water every single day. By the way, Eric, you promised to beat Sisco... and I heard you.

Thanks for this inspiring talk again. "What's uncomfortable now will become comfortable later" I love that!

Have you heard of Dr. Joe Vitale's book "Zero Limits"? Hale Dworkin"s Sedona Method? Help for reprogramming.

Push your choices toward Raw, Live Food. Much more healthy in every way. This means veggies, not meat or grains, or roots. Mostly eat the vegetables from above the ground such as tomatoes(even though they are fruit), cabbage, Broccoli, greens of all kinds, peppers, cucumbers, squash, celery, etc. Not necessarily all salads. Look for raw recipes and restaurants. No Soy! Bad for you, and toxin-laden!
  • You were on the raw and leading edge on this one... using yourself as an example was very powerful... constant and never ending improvement for the good of the world...

I added super foods in my diet change my life ,see dave wolf youtube
  • Awesome Eric...The Slight Edge Philosophy explained in Network Marketing terms....you truly have over delivered with this series of training videos Eric....can't wait for number 4 !!
  • You are the best man! You always give me a smile ;-) Best regards, your biggest fan.

I can hardly wait for part 4. Thanks again. If allways eating the right foods where easy, everyone would do it, its a decision - where the result has to be greater than the sacrifices we make getting there. Like our business... ;O)

Oh... I gotta do my calls... ;O)

    Wish u a wonderful day!

    Hi Eric!
Thanks for sharing great tools to use working with my team. U're doing a great job.
QOTD: "Just" apply the technics u just shared with us. Think of your body as a million dollar machine that will cost u a fortune if it breaks (in this case it actually will.. your health is at stake). Just like we treat our business (even when its small) - like a million dollar business. Something to be proud of. Take pride in making responsible choises about what u're fueling your body with. It is easy to take health for granted when u're feeling great. ;O)What kind of food we eat play a bigger role to our success than we think. Some food makes us smart, some food makes us stronger, some foods makes us stupid, stressed out, lazy... and so on.
So I think we have to think like an athlete even when it comes to food. It is much like u said today. Just keep on doing the disciplines - day after day - and one day eating healthy is just part of your life... ;O)
    Aloé, I wish u a brilliant day!

  • Damn those patterns! It seems we all have a few that need to be vanquished. Thanks again Eric for keeping it real.

QOTD: Eric there are a tremendous number of great tasting food that are also good for you. Try to associate good foods with great times you have had. Also remember how much your son would like to have dad around. I would recommend Monavie, but might not mix with the A-gel gig.

Thought provoking. And important. Just talked with a personal coach yesterday about reprogramming! AND about going to the beach...just heard someone successful in the business say her business is doing what she likes, going to courses she enjoys, concerts, exhibitions AND there making contacts! And about being lonely...I work daily together with those who want to succeed which makes me tick.
  • Excellent Eric - Excellent!
  • earlmann
This is a game of the basics, patterns and passion.
    We have a better way!
  • Terrific episode and a must view on a regular basis. It is not new material just the material I often forget.

Kind of like food, there is food you can eat and eat and eat and it’s good for you no matter what and then there is the category that, for me at least, any is too much. Which one excites me until after it’s all gone? Yeah, it’s the second category. I had a health challenge in the mid 80’s I thought might be food related and found a book written by Arthur Kaslow. It did not solve my health challenge but opened my eyes to the triggers that have us eat food that is not good for us personally. There are many foods not necessarily bad for everyone. Peanuts are an extreme example. “Eating healthy” may not be possible eating out of any aisle that includes processed and packaged anything. When I become unconscious about what I am eating…days go by and pounds stay on.
  • Such key fundamentals for any kind of business. Can't wait for part 4.
A good friend once said to me "Those companies (MLM) want you to change who you are".
Hence he didn't want to do the business. Kind of tells the story of why so many fail and also tells the story of what one should be looking for in a prospect. As you said, it's not about the plan, product or anything else. It's about you/me. Thank you Eric.

Regarding the QOTD, could help if you are not thinking of food alone. If you can fit food in something bigger as sport for example, it could be easier and can come by his own. Another possibility is ay you explain discipline, discipline, discipline.... take a simple example of mine. I loved in the past coffee with a lot of sugar (which is not healthy). One day I decided to stop putting sugar in my coffee. I kept the discipline of doing it day after day and after a while (not long) I began to love the taste of the coffee without sugar... as you explain take little steps in the right direction and stick with it... hope it helps
  • Ah yes. To take the sting out of completely changing the taste try reducing the amount of sugar each week. That way the pain (different taste) is not so sudden. One is more likely to succeed in small segments.
  • pierrespain
Awesome. So True. Thanks for providing us such quality training
  • Awesome video. It really is about you (i.e., me). I really do believe that repeating small steps consistently is the only way. It is so easy to fall out of line and get drawn in with the 95% of those who fail and blame others without taking a hard look and admitting that failure, like success is within one's sole control.
  • Nice work; "Talk to people, talk to people, talk to people"
  • WOW! Outstanding is right. Just amazing Eric. Some of the best insights ever for success.
    Thank you.
  • Outstanding training Eric. I am so energized now. Thanks Sir.
