Usually the kind of person with that mindset will already have been successful in business.

I completely agree about the mindset people bring with them into NM such as giving it a go until it becomes a little uncomfortable and then they just stop! I do think that as a profession we are often the cause of attracting that though.. So many presentations about NM make it seem like everything is sooooo easy and it causes people to have unrealistic expectations.

It's a fine line I find between making success seem attainable even for someone who has never been in business before to setting realistic expectations from the outset.

A fine line... you're helping us stay on it though! :)

Brilliant message Eric.

It seems relevant to mention that people coming in on such a low price of entry may be much less confident from the get go than someone who already has the confidence and resources to start a $1 million biz. Thanks for another great inspiration. We all need to treat our business as the million dollar business that it is, if we don't it will never be that way for us.

I need the most confidence in taking my believe in what I know about my products and what they can do for people to everyone that I meet in the most appropriate way that they need to hear about it. Again, if the prospect wants to they will gladly give you their credit card :)
You must, however ask for it, and I understand that part can be difficult.
As Eric said, repetition can be of enormous help. Practicing in the mirror is really hard because you know your own fear. But when you can say it to yourself in the mirror with confidence (and you will feel whent it happens), then you can say it to anyone. Go for it Alexander. You can do it!

I see. Again, if the prospect wants to they will gladly give you their credit card <img

When I've taught kids to drive as a Driver's Ed instructor the kids that drove the most with their parents was VERY evident... Same concept here. Those who practice their craft the most are the ones who do the best...

I LOVE this concept of treating network marketing as a million dollar business. I do however believe people have such a hard time wrapping their head around that number it's hard for them to treat it that way. I fight it myself. My first goal is to treat it like a job that is lucrative enough that my wife can retire. That in itself is great. I catch myself thinking about a $100,000 business. Then I think of what it would take to make that a reality and I work my way through the numbers. For her to retire it literally is a million dollar business to achieve that goal. I guess I'm saying thank you for helping me raise my awareness of what this business is so I can make this dream a reality.

QOTD: I hate to say it, is the studying part of the business, once I know what I need for each situation, I'm more confident. Knowing what to say and when to say it, in general. I know that tactics "don't sell" but they do at least help me when someone asks me a question, (what to do next, 3 way call. 3rd party tool, how do I get started). I'm becoming more of a student since NM Pro has started and I'm FINALLY starting to see some results in my behavior and business.

Thanks Again

The Network Marketing equivalent to Real Estate's Location, Location, Location! … When I've taught kids to drive as a Driver's Ed instructor the kids that drove the most with their parents was VERY evident… Same concept here.
