It's important to be duplicatable in this business so why not duplicate what the successful leaders in your company are doing? It will add up to success.
  • Dylan Cooper
We all glean information and ways of doing things from all people around us-so why not study the successful and use their behaviour more? Makes sense.
  • aliceflanders
Earlier you talked about scripting. When you copied these successful people, you were borrowing their scripts and making them your own. That is the power of scripting, you improve your script, you improve your success.
  • This concept is so true in our business, its just a shame that some prospects don't see it...its so easy.
  • Erik
It is saturday morning and I needed some inspiration and I have some time so Im watching "old episodes " again, I dont think you can se this often enough, I feel Im growong everyday :)
  • Erik
Yeah I`m a Copycat. I`m using the 4 steps you teached me to do on the phone, I`m using the Presentation tecniques you teached and a lot of your other stuff, and after watching the best year webinar, I have now booked my January kickoff and will use what you teached in that webinar...

Talking comfortably with people I don't really know.
  • jennyc
Speaking with confidence when presenting the opportunity we have to share.
  • Can I just ask a question here... With disqus if you log in you don't seem to have an active link to your blog. Is that right and if so why.. it's nuts! Or am I missing something here guys?

Btw forgot to say I would like to improve on finding the balance between giving people realistic expectations and maintaining their enthusiasm to get started.
  • It's great how in NM we are encouraged to copy the people getting the results. I love that about our business.
Makes perfect sense and if you can mix that with some of your personality (especially with social media that is very important)

I admit I find myself saying exactly what you and Randy say sometimes. Let's hope I keep my hair though. :)
  • Got it.
QOTD: I would like to improve my Invitation skills

    Love you all

  • Great show. I laugh as loud as Hernando Pena. I will become a copy of you...belief me. I fact, guess who is the domain owner of the site www.NetworkMarketingPro.NL ......From the beginning of your shows I follow you step by step. I honestly want to give back all your information to the people who are involved in our profession in the Netherlands. The site isn't in the air yet, but that's just a matter of time. About the QOTD: I'm allready working everyday to improve the skills you have. You're absolutely a leader and one of the best trainers in our profession. I hope to see you soon somewhere. Take care my friend..love u. Best regards from your biggest fan. Danny van Nispen (Netherlands)

First thing you'll need in your quest to become Eric's copy is to get rid of your hair :)
Didn't you notice the greatest leaders are all bold... :)
  • I have to agree that...lol... you're good!

I'm lacking the skill of inviting with confidence to see my opportunity. To model one of the leaders I would need to spend a day with them, see how they approach them, what language they use and how they get the prospect to accept the initial tools.

OH MY GOD, I Can't stop Grinning. I've waited 2 years to be able to tell this story.

Eric, 2 years ago I saw your DVD presentation for your company and I was so impressed because, to me, that is the best business presentation I've ever seen anyone give. So I decided to MODEL myself after YOU giving the presentation. I literally wrote down every word you said (I can email you that file) and adapted it to my company. Then I hired a camara guy and an editor from New York and filmed the presentation in the living room of one of my downline reps. Obviously it wasn't as high in quality as your DVD's but still it came out pretty impressive. I still have that video. If you ever want a good laugh, just let me know and I'll send it to you. You're right, during the process of MODELING myself after you, I became extremely confident about giving a presentation.

Now life comes full circle because I'm creating a company specific training program for my team based on the format of NMPro. And I'm making sure that everyone in my organization experiences the benefit of plugging into NMPro.

To say that you've impacted me as a Network Marketing Professional is an understatement. One day our paths will cross and I'll be speechless with Gratitude. So when you meet that guy that can't remember his own name to introduce himself, that'll be me.

    Your Friend,
    Hernando Pena
    a.k.a. Nando

(QTOD): I would like to become better at inspiring others.

    Nando:
Thanks for sharing your experience on modeling.
  • ericworre
Haha. You're not the only one who's done that exact thing, believe me! :) But I'm GLAD! You're just doing what I did with leaders before me.

QOTD: Approaching people - not just to prospect, but in general. I'm very friendly and I like to be around people, but I'm still a little shy about starting a conversation with someone I don't know. I want to, but somehow I just can't find the words.
  • QOTD: following up after an exposure.
  • alexanderpadilla
Thank you Eric for more good advice. Modeling I agree is a good method to build your own persona, business posture and character. The skill I want to improve on is inviting to meetings and events.
  • Modeling at the outset is so very important for success. The NWM industry thrives on duplication! Why not duplicate the best in your company!
  • I first heard this "modelling" concept from Tony Robbins. I think it's brilliant......very simple idea, but can be very effective. I also love your idea of imaginary modelling. I often ask myself, "What would Eric Worre do?"....no joke! (or...Randy Gage, or Brian Tracy, or....whoever).

Love the story of how you first learned to do a presentation. That's really cool....and a great idea to boot.

QOTD: What skill would I most like to improve, eh?.......Hmmmmmmm, probably ALL of them!
  • I need to listen better also. I know how to hear but how to slow myself down to right now, where I will really listen, is what I forget. This hurried listening aspect of listening also impacts when I am too quick to provide an answer. My father always, I mean always said, "Go, look it up." and we had a library and multiple sets of encyclopedia in our home. I became an encyclopedia but I have to learn how to say every time "Here's where you can find that" while offering a tool or website for them to get the answer themselves.

QOTD: The skill I want to most improve is my listening skills. From my experience I believe I am a good listener....maybe compared to the average person out there who isn't even attempting to build huge organization. I want to become an exceptional listener.
  • I would like to improve just about everything!
  • Bones you are truly great. I bump into you on all the best blogs and you are almost always ruffling some feathers. I enjoy your posts. :)
  • ritafulton
    Eric,

I have heard this shared before at NWM Pro and have started using "modeling". I am enjoying the results and still building that early stage confidence.

    Thank you. Enjoy Salt Lake.
  • This is the meat and potatoes that we all need. I've heard this before, but this seems much more stripped down to it's roots. Thanks Eric.

QOTD: If Follow up is a skill I'd say that is the skill I need to work on the most... Otherwise I think presenting the gift of my company. Because it is the one skill that effects everything else the most... Inviting, follow up, training, duplication, attractiveness, etc...
  • enrique62
What skill would you most like to improve? I don't know if perception is a skill but if it is, I need to change the way I perceive myself. I have noticed through all the interviews that the speakers are very comfortable with themselves.
I decided to listen to what you say instead of argued with it. There is still a gap between how you built a strong organization and how to I would built one without your experience.
You are giving us the clues. I just need to continue listen and change my belief about myself.
  • Success leaves clues.
