Just quick note about Gary's book "Crush It". I bought it through my "Kindle", took only few seconds and did not have to go anywhere. Amazon.com is awesome and so is my Kindle.

    Thanks again.
  • ritafulton
HMMmmmmm! I'm going to have to sit in my library and really allow myself to think about what I am most passionate about. I know that I have a strong drive to help others, but not sure if stronger than other dreams. I have a few that I work on a continual basis. What a better way to get this done..social media..branding..all great stuff.

Thanks again to Eric and Gary.

    Get the book!!
  • Wow, this was an amazing interview! I totally believe that you need to build your personal brand, no matter what business you're in. People buy from people and I think's that totally true in MLM. It's exciting that we have the power of social media at our fingertips!
  • Eric,

The "story" is the tool to untold success! Be the story, live the story and you will find multitudes of partners so very eager to be a part of your Team!

Remember though, the story must be real and genuine!
  • When I saw this video, I was like "So many people are going to quit after seeing this!" because it's my belief that a great HUGE part of our industry is doing it strictly for the cash-

    I include myself.

Usually we're selling the lifestyle dream, and that has nothing to do with the actual DOING of NWM. In other words, the things I've done (and do) with passion don't have anything to do with an end result- it's the doing of it in itself that I find passion in.

NWM is not one of those things; why would it be?

We ALL talk about NWM as being the VEHICLE to something else- time with family, vacations, etc- but the passion of doing it itself? I don't see it. Maybe that's why I've only been moderately successful.

All that being said, I imagine there's a way to ADD NWM to your passion; if Gary were to get into some Super-Juice 2000 Business, he could market that right next to his wines, right?

Here's another take on Gary and MLM:

Gary's request for magazine never came through, I was waiting to hear about his new idea. Thank you both for most appreciated and valued information.

  • You can watch him at his wine library - full of ideas!
  • QOTD:
Yes and No.. I am a mechanic by trade and I just love technology. I love fixing things and love the work that I do. I am not happy about so many people being taken advantage of when their ride breaks and it cost them a fortune to get mobile again.!!! I once fixed a used car at a dealership that had a hole burned in one of the pistons. They said fix it and don't spend a bunch of money... meaning do what ever it takes and it better cost me nothing. So I found an old used piston under the workbench and just slapped it in there... Cost? just my labor and some sealer.... they were happy and the car is still on the road... that really made me feel good... Whats my point? there is none.. its a story....

I thank you for the opportunity to share one of my defining moment stories here...

    part two?
I want to be able to fix things for free or cheep! (donate my time and talent) I'm tired of the little guy getting ripped!! and NWM will get me there...

    Peace!

    Eric,

Just wondering what it takes to get somthing like you and Gary talked about. You asked him in the interview and all he said was a camera, I understand the video camera but what kind of editing software do you use, viddler account web hosting and so forth. I am an amature at this tech stuff. You guys lit a spark!

    Thanks
  • ericworre
Flipcam Ultra HD for my camera. Final Cut Express for my editing software ($99). Viddler Account. Wordpress hosting. There ya go. Just start.
  • Guys, I am not happy!

You had a prty on the last show, and no one told me zilt!

    That will not do.

    I am paying back!

Here is my contribution yesterday's party!

    =======================
    Man...

    What the heck happened here?

    Is this the second revolution?

Finally I see people stand for their points even if they have to be against what the leaders have been saying for such a long time.

In one of these shows I was the only one to defend that it would make more than sense that if you find another products you need and use, that just happens to have an MLM associated, you should use it too.

Even Paypal has an affiliate program, webcast companies probably 90% of them have affiliate programs and many of us are doing WebCasts...

So that RUN FOR ONE HORSE... it's just not valid anymore. The times have changed and so people.
But there is several valuable information you can get from sites like this.

And the point Gary did was something like GET OUT OF THE SHELL!!!!

Because at the end, that's whats this is all about! If you want to have some success in MLM, you need to TALK to people, to the WORLD!

    You can't be shy!

There's no place in this business world for shy people.

And Bones, If talking to the world is not duplicable... then I have been wrong all my MLM days...

What I think is, Gary said it right: If you want to have success in these times, TALK TO THE WORLD!

    Use the Internet!

    Make it Happen!

And if you thing for a while... if Eric did it, what prevent us to do the same? :)

No offense Eric, you know I like you alot... and Marina and Wendy, of course...

    I'm out of here now!

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues

Four shit hot shows! That is old aussie slang for 'near perfect'. Eric and Gary, you are indeed two of the brightest luminaries in the networking arena, and it was awesome to see you together sharing great information wrapped up in very powerful energy. Huge thanks to you both!
  • lorijones
Gary I loved watching you, your energy is dynamic and I had to smile throughout this interview. Powerful information on branding! Definitely getting your book! Eric so grateful to have found you on Facebook.
    Cheers, Lori

To answer Gary's question, I have begun doing what my passion is - helping people to dream about what they can do in their lives and showing them a vehicle that can assist them to get there.
  • stevepohlit
Very important points are made in this series. I have paid close attention because of the value. It is not always easy when you don't identify with a person's style. Gary is clearly very astute and devotes his energy to what he loves. If there is only one take away, I vote for the do what you love theme. Second in priority is branding and I am looking at being more clear. Love the reminder about the stories.

Eric - you are a pro and I appreciate all you are doing including all these marvelous videos.

    Thank you Eric and Gary
  • alexanderpadilla
Building a brand is something that is a new concept for people, however, we live in a world of branding. Thanks for this series. I look forward to reading Gary's book and continuing to be a student of NMPro.
  • rebeccar
Thanks Eric for sharing with us your insights to becoming a better network marketer.

I hear continually that stories sell and facts only tell.

    Storytelling is supremely important.

    rebecca
  • What I got from today’s view. "I don't care...." drives everyone who believes their caring passionately about XXX equals the outcome and results of real action. Not going to happen ever.

Most life stories have been lost and forgotten. We may have to relive and rewrite them all.

You have to begin at the beginning sooner or later. Begin today instead of thinking and caring about it. Make lots of mistakes on purpose is where learning occurs. The world is changing faster than most people realize. I made a living in an industry no longer able to support people with old style margin sales. What I used to sell for $1000's is now either pennies or free.

I am exactly where I want to be. I have everything I want. To sustain and grow it requires building a dream factory anyone can use to form their 'everything they want' as well. The 'factory' is open and in business. Thank you Eric for saying it possible.

The entire show unedited will be amazing to watch.
  • Excellent interview. Sometimes this can be a little difficult to convey to new team members before they have their own stories. I stress to them.. Use my story, use other stories of people in the business. A lot of times people feel they can not do it unless they have their own personal story.. We all know that will come with time. Thanks so much! Sheatina

    Hello Eric,
Great interview with Gary. Gary is a great personal engine builder.
You must find yourself before making any attempt to brand who you are.
What are YOU representing and how are you going to let the World know.
Be yourself and build on your talents and gifts.
    Peace

Enjoyed this series a whole lot. I stumbled across Gary V at the beginning of the year. I love the guys intensity but most of all I love the way he embraces the changes in the way business is being done in the new economy that is forming.
  • I’ve really enjoyed this interview series and all the conversation it’s sparked here in the community.

This interview showed that Gary doesn’t seem to be a real fan of our profession and that’s okay. I think he probably doesn’t really understand it (very common).

QOTD: yes. Network Marketing is the most important work I can do. It’s not “all about the money”, there’s a million ways to make money. This profession is all about liberating others, offering people a chance to take control of their lives, become stronger and less dependent. This is my passion.
  • Gary's Passion rolls off his personality - Love it
  • markabrahams
I loved the honesty - can tell that Gary is for real + full of passion (at least I think that's what they said). He's certainly full of something - so much so I want some.
  • Always find the defining moments interesting! Some make you think OMG, in your face, while others seem to be more a natural Oh Yeah, That's what's missing.

QOTD: Honestly I don't believe my non NM practices are doing what I love. I have decided to step it up several notches and REALLY become a student and help others do the same in their lives. Starting RIGHT NOW...
Thank you both. I will be going to the bookstore to see if Crush It! is on the shelves now and to buy it if possible.
  • Bought the book today and suggested it someone else looking for a good book to read.. I think he bought it as well.
  • cbconsulting
    1) no I wasn't really doing what I loved before this interview
    2) yes I am now working towards what I really want to do
    3) get the book the next time I am in Moncton - October 23

  • Wow that was fun. I enjoyed listening to this whole interview.

I have been studying social media for a good while now and applying it to my NM and other business. It's exciting to see Eric that you are now teaching exactly what you are doing with your show. I know it's been a challenging time in MLM because everything is changing and whilst I never buy all that baloney about uplines not telling you what they know etc... I do think it has been tough for leaders in the business to know what to do with this massive development of technology whilst still teaching duplicative strategies.

Most MLMs have no tools that even get near to being effective for online business.

When I decided to throw caution to the wind early this year and take my business online I faced quite a lot of opposition from many traditionalists and have also had some interesting debates with Randy Gage at his blog.

So now it is clear that to be real leaders in this profession in these time we need to develop a world class brand within NM.

That is what Randy Gage has been doing for years and in my humble opinion he has done it with such class. Can we have him back on to clarify and throw his stuff into the mix about what Gary has said?

Building a blog around your personality is the way to go but within that you must have a systematic process for your team to get started. I've worked very hard to develop that for my team and teach them how to use social media.

The danger here is that Gary clearly does not understand MLM so a little balance from Randy could be just what we need 'in this space.'

What Raven Starre is doing is another fabulous show case of her passion, but she has taken a direct in your face approach. It does however all revolve around her stardom so is a tricky one to duplicate.

What I LOVE most about all of this is that the sublimal message of MLM is no longer 'play it down and just copy everyone else.' It is super fine to be creative and show your talents. The real winners will be those who crack the duplication integrated with social media. Game on!

Thanks again Eric for being so transparent.
  • It's like I know Gary for years. he has a incredible positive attitude....All of his four shows do have a value. Thanks for sharing guys. Take care and best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Great interview! Two things that stood out to me...

    a) Branding - Everybody in my company making $500,000 a year or more I can tell you what their brand is so you are so dead on here.

    b) Storytelling - Another key takeaway here and definately something I need to work on. I'm actually a great storyteller. The problem is I don't incorporate it into my network marketing business as much as I should or could.
