NMPRO #164 – Dedication

October 29th, 2009 Email This

This show was fun.  I went to see my first ballet at the second best Opera House in all of Europe in Odessa Ukraine.  Since it was so beautiful, I thought I’d pull out my camera and invite you to experience a little bit of it.  When I’m done talking, make sure to stay tuned in.  I offer a special bonus at the end of the show.  Hope you like it.  Question of the Day (QOTD):  How long are you willing to practice your Network Marketing skills in order to earn your way on stage?

I am willing to practice and practice over and over again. And I`m willing to do what it takes, but I have used some invitasion skills I learned from one of the most famous in the Business, I bought the CDs and I learned a lot from it, the problem is that it is complicated and takes to long time for a new person to learn, I personaly was chocked and suprised when I started to use your simple 4 step tactic. And a new person can learn those skills in a short time, not using several months like they used to. Saying that I have great respect from that person I got the CDs from. He`s an icon and a great person for our Industry. I just thing that your way is the best when it comes to inviting :)
  • QOTD: Not sure that I want to be on stage. However I am willing to take as long as it take to become really good at this thing. I love meeting new people and I know I can turn my love of meeting new people into making money once I find a product and pay plan I can stand behind! Most are too exspensive or have an ingredient I don't like. Maybe I just need to start my own company!

I am a professional musician (contemporary music) myself. Becoming a true professional in NM is exactly the same as becoming a pro musician. You start with the fundementals - true knowledge of your axe (instrument), notes,
scales inside-out, chords inside-out, reading, tone, interpretation, solos, and the list is endless. It is an arena where even the very best might not be able to feed himself after years of paying dues. As the late great Don Grolnick (former keyboardist for major acts - Elton John, Madonna, etc., and my favorite jazz pianist)says, 'a career where the risks are great and the rewards...subtle', describes the music industry especially today. NM isn't even in the same ballpark as the music industry. If you're a 12 o'clock, willing to learn new skills, pay your DUES for 3-5 years and FOCUS...the rewards are 'off the charts'. Nobody has to sell me on NM.

For as long there are people out there that I can learn from.
Each day I want to be better then I was the day before.
So I will be learning always, also when I am ON stage...

    Eric,

Great to see that you are enjoying your first ballet and in such an awe inspiring Opera House. I have committed to investing 20% of my network marketing each day to self improvement and learning. I am full time with more than six hours per day total. I make sure to keep sharp physically, mentally and spirtually; building business relationships in order to help others become a story.

Thanks for sharing your evening and training with us.

A young New York City ballet dancer once auditioned for a famous dancer and choreographer in the hopes of getting a small part in his production of Swan Lake. Unfortunately there were too many dancers and not enough dancing roles. On the way out she saw the famous choreographer standing alone at the front door. She hurried over and excused herself, asking the great artist if he thought she could be a great dancer one day. Brushing her off he said he had no idea.

Years later the woman was married with children and living a quiet life as a insurance office secretary in a small upstate New York town. The town was buzzing with the guest appearance at their local art house of the same great choreographer for a special presentation of Swan Lake.

The night of the show the woman was walking by the theater when she saw the same great choreographer stepping out of a taxi. Steeling herself for a confrontation she marched over to the man as the taxi pulled away and tapped him on the shoulder.

    “Do you remember me?”

“I’m afraid not,” replied the great man.

“25 years ago in New York City I was a hard working ballet student and you told me you had no idea if I could ever be a great dancer.”

    “And?”

His seeming indifference really ticked off the woman. “Your comment to me crushed my spirit and I quit dancing the next day. And I’ve regretted it ever since. I’ve been wanting to ask you for 25 years how you could have said such a thing to me, without even having watched me dance”

The great choreographer inhaled deeply and looked down at the woman standing there, a hint of sadness in his eyes.

“If you really wanted to be a great dancer, then nothing I said would have stopped you.”

And with that he walked into the theater, leaving the woman alone on the sidewalk.

I thought I'd give myself a year, now that you've taught us basic techniques of utmost importance. After seeing this wonderful take and hearing you...well, I'll just give it as long as it takes...and never give up!
  • Truth is truth in all its perfection and grace in knowledge of the facts.
  • NICE...

QOTD: as long as it takes and then some
  • Jessica Perez
Thats awesome! I would love to see one of these ballet shows!
QOTD: IM willing to practice my network marketing skills my whole network marketing career, basically the rest of my life. Everyday there is always something new to learn and put to practice. Its endless!

Wao...this is lovely, thank you for sharing. It reminds me of the romance in Pretty woman film. Happy birthday to Marina. It is true we need to practice and practice to become professional.
  • bethascoli
That was AWESOME, thanks for the bonus :)

QOTD: As long as it takes!
  • Great analogy with the dancing and network marketing.

QOTD - I'm willing to practice my network marketing skills for as long as I am alive. I actually enjoy being a network marketing professional, so I'm not going anywhere.
  • donham298

  • Marion Levi
    That was great, thank you!
QOTD - as long as it takes.....
Happy Birthday to Marina, what a great way to celebrate.
Did I miss the special bonus at the end????
  • wow,that was nice !!
These guys on stage are really PRO !
    Working hard for years...
    Ha,last time I've been to this Opera House in...1989..when I was 14..GOSH !!
How long I willing to practice ? ALL THE TIME. each day. Till I get it done !
  • Wonderful bonus! A 'taste' of opera. The incredible part is 10 years ago or less the 'taste' you offered was not possible from your seat. Incredible in so many ways.

QOTD: As long as it takes. Gestation is different for every kind of seed as well as every person and every skill in every person. Nurturing our skills is not a class in grade school. [yet] We are very impatient with ourselves and with others. Allowing people the environment for their success skills to grow and mature is a major part of what we offer in network marketing. Thank you Eric for being in the lead!
  • stellawebber
If that is what it takes, I'll be learning and practicing the rest of my life! I am sure you can learn forever!
    Thnx for sharing this.
    Kind regards
    Stella
  • AWESOME!

Question of the Day (QOTD): How long are you willing to practice your Network Marketing skills in order to earn your way on stage?

    >>Forever! Learn, practice & share.
  • cynthiavp
Very moving performance...I got chils...so fabulous, thank you! Happy Birthday to your girlfriend! did I miss the special offer???
  • Loved the ballet, I have seen several including one that was performed in the Battery Park Atrium Lower Manhattan. Awesome.
I believe Network Marketing skills are learned over a period of 3 to 5 years in most cases and I tell all my prospective recruits this, what can I say I am a realist...LOL. Do I loose no end of those potential recruits to who ever is pitching the make a buck now concept, yes. To this end I practice one of our many skills (which you have talked about) and I remain emotionally detached from their decision. Not easy.

Hi Eric and THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN for this beautiful website!!!

This particular episode is so helpful because I have to remind myself to work on my skills. I keep forgetting that.

You should also know that my daughter, Sofia, also watches some of your episodes. I want her to learn about this fantastic profession and the opportunities it offers. Thank you for taking us traveling with you because it gives me a "visualization" of the lifestyle and it gives Sofia something for her to visually focus on too!

Thanks to you she's already started a list of places we are going to travel to thanks to our Network Marketing business!

    Cynthia (and Sofia)
  • Eric I enjoy traveling with you. Thank you for allowing me to come along. Your adventures keep me focused to know that there is life beyond a pay check - Your great.

  • enrique62
I am not a ballet aficionado but this was so beautiful.
  • Eric, you do a great job of giving people a good visual as to what success in our industry looks like. As much as anything now, my wish for myself is to take someone else in my organization to Odessa to see the Ballet. Ohh, and that restaurant in Seville looks like a winner as well!
  • Marina
Welcome! When you'll decide to go to Opera in Odessa, let me know. I'll find the best place for you and your team :)
  • pmaselli
    Wow!

This is quite inspirational and with the point well made!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Paul
  • I wouldn't call myself a ballet fan, but that was beautiful. Thank you for sharing..
This past week I have worked with several others in an effort to discover what's important and our true whys.
My why is stronger and I am at the commitment level #5.. No matter what, However long it takes.
  • Wow....Eric, that was breathtaking - the performance, the setting - just beautiful.
    Thank you for sharing.

QOTD: It's an ongoing "practice". I'm dedicated to work at it as long as it takes. I realize (NOW) that it generally takes 2 to 5 years to really become a force in this industry; however, I've signed up for some MLM opportunities in the past thinking it might take 2 to 5 months, or weeks! LOL!!
I've learned a lot lately about this industry, thanks in a huge part to you and this show.
  • Eric this was great!
  • Erik
I will keep on doing it over and over and over again, I will never quit :) On day I will shake your hand and say thank you for all your advice and trainings. One day you will see me at the " BIG STAGE " - Thank you again
  • Erik
Thank you so much, I look at your show everyday and must say that I have never found a better training. Your simply the best :)
