Three days without sleep. Maybe a five minute catnap somewhere in there among those three days.
  • aliceflanders
Three days. We were doing inventory at Fairchild Semiconductor in the mid 70's. They would not let us go home because of the possibility of theft during inventory. So we had to stay there for three days. Do I need to tell you we got rather silly by then end of that period?
  • Wow, that really gives me something to think about--would I sponsor me? I've also heard it this way...look in the mirror and ask "would I hire me?"...I've got some work to do, but Yes to both questions...

QOTD: longest time without sleep I think it 16hrs...
  • Erik
Yes you must take controll over your own life. But if I could chose I would pick a sponsor that could be a mentor and a friend. Someone that I could work close with everyday and create a team together :)

i went without sleep for 6 days one ti but ended up falling asleep behind the wheel luckily nothing got broken
  • davidwilkerson
I went without sleep for nearly 36 hours while moving across country..
  • Ellis3
I went without sleep for about 24 hours in college ... I need my beauty rest now!
  • Gadzooks Eric you've done it again. An incredibly succinct and insightful comment from a true master. Thank you.
  • elyseoo
    40 hours
  • Amazing view! Thanks for sharing with us all.
We all should be our own ultimate sponsor!

    AOTD: 3 days...

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless!
  • Would I want to be sponsored by me? I'm not sure that I would. I do believe in myself. I do believe that I could be a good sponsor. I do believe that I have alot to offer in the way of personal growth. I like learning from other leaders in personal growth. My biggest problem is finding people who are interested in what I have to offer.

QOTD: Some where between two and three days a couple of times and both for work related matters. One was for a barricade company while working a weekend setup. And the other time was when I was working for a limo company and shuttle service. I just got done working about 14 hours and dispatch ask if I wanted to drive the limo for a short 2 or 3 hour run. To keep the story short, That 2 or 3 hour run turned into a 3 day run! I had a short break after 2 days and came back to finish it up.

The longest I ever went without sleep? 4 days.My friend & I went to Laughlin NV.& were having such a wonderful time, that the time just flew by.It just seemed like one long day filled full of the fun things that we were doing......It's a good thing we were aware of the time to leave for the shuttle to the airport LOL
Yes,I wish that I was my own sponsor. ..... Not that my sponsors aren't any good. They are. I have learned a lot from them. We always have room to learn & to grow.
  • What are the characteristics of the perfect sponsor? Leader, mentor, friend and worst enemy are all needed. Motivator, inspiration generator and a tactician that would make Napoleon proud along with unparalleled experience and the patience of Job is who you are talking about yes? No wonder so few make it to the top. Hey, this IS who many claim to have found every time I am pitched. Be the best YOU, you can be and encourage others to be their best without quitting may be what it takes. That other guy is a myth.

QOTD: In my twenties I had a job that required certain procedures be started, run and completed by the same people. Normally they took between 24 and 48 hours. Once, three of us had to stay awake for 72 hours and higher concentrations of oxygen do make a difference.
  • Its a shame TYLERFORD feels he has to post on your videos every day instead of using the provided comments area?

QOTD: 40hrs LAN party when I was back in Uni ;)
  • lisaweston
    24 hours!!
  • You're absolutely right Eric! Thank God I can say yes to that one...I would want to be sponsored by me, HOWEVER in this business we need to evolve constantly...so if I think I'm the ultimate sposor? Noway because I still have a long way to go in development. Interesting though by the way!

QOTD: 72 hours of work plus transportation. Some years ago I had a 7-Eleven franchise and on the first weekend after I took over the store I was scheduled for the middle shift, and both the girl on the morning shift and the guy on the night shift turned in sick. Since we were open 24 hours a day....well...I ended up on a 72 hour shift....

What a timely video, I was just thinking how awesome it would be to be sponsored by someone like me.

QOTD: 56 hours on a weekly basis for 4 months. I was working 2 full time jobs and one part time job while I was homeless. All so I could pay my tuition at Boston University. That's when I was first introduced to Network Marketing. NEVER accept the excuse that anyone is too busy to do the business.

wow, what a beautiful place to wake up to every morning. your ask a very good question, and something i need to really ponder, but i would probably say i'm not there yet -- but i am working on it. the longest i have gone without sleep is around 48 hours, but i do not recommend it, hah. you become almost comatose mentally, while still moving physically, hah.
  • joelgoins
Eric, thanks for your insights and yes, they help tremendously with keeping my head in the game!! You have a beautiful place on the lake!! Longest time without sleep: 40+ hours...too long!!
  • YES I would love to have found myself a long time ago. But that is OK I have found myself now and I am sponsoring some amazing people!!!

I have gone 49 hours without sleep and would not want to ever do it again.
  • I know that I am not ready yet to say I would like to be sponsored by me.
I can say however that my sponsorship has raised a step on the lader..., so in a way I already did good.
But I know I can do much better.
This is a process that takes time, I know.
I have been for decades thinking business and life in a certain way and I am now reprogramming my mind, so I know I have to give me time.
    I will!
    QOTD: 48 hours!
I wouldn' t do it again.
Not for the same reason at least.
Don't have the same stamina as I had when I was 25, hehehe.

    Love you all

QOTD: Early Sunday morning to mid morning on Tuesday in July 1991. ~ 50 hours. My friend and I had just wrecked (FLIPPED) his mom's brand new 40th B-day present - Mercedes SL 500 Convertible doing ~ 240 km/hr. Brutal brakes!! We spent the next couple of days evading his parents while driving their Jeep thruout SW Ontario. Quite a trip! We only had 1 tape with us - a single of Madonna's <vogue>. He ended up losing his driver's license for 2 yrs.</vogue>
  • Eric,

There are too many things to learn yet but atleast am atleast happy for my beleif and my passion to do that!! I hope I will soon be able to be my sponsor but not yet!!

and the answer of your question is, almost 48 hour!!
  • In the military I went 4 days without sleep. Went to my girlfriends house and feel asleep on her bed. When I woke up it was the next day about 12 hours later and her parents where home. Needless to say I was scared to leave the room. Her dad told me not to worry because he knew I was to tired to do anything anyways. :)
  • coachcarriev
This is a great question Eric. Thank you for helping me understand me. You are a true leader and friend!
I guess it all depends on what you consider to be an Ultimate sponsor? What characteristics define an ultimate sponsor? Would I want to be sponored by me? YES! WHY? Because of the characteristics I bring to everything I do, like passion, engery, commitment, willingness to learn and listen, support, coaching, inspiration, love and belief! I am the most successfull in my field? Not yet? Will I give up? Never. There are to many things to learn.
Thank you for everything you do!

QOTD: I can't skip a night rest. But there were times I fell asleep very hard! I did hardly sleep more than 2 hours per night, for a lot of nights! Exhausting! Then I got sleeping pills (drugs) and was edicted to it for years! Now I just take a natural relaxing pill every night and did some therapy, too. So I overcame this problem myself, my doctor told me it wasn;t a problem to take those medicines and didn't care about it. I am proud if it, I did this myself.

So, I know every night when I go to bed, that I will sleep very good again, without chemical drugs.

Thanks for your issue about being the Ultimate Sponsor yourself!

    Kind regards
    Stella
  • Nice post and nice lake :) I don't think I'm the ultimate sponsor but I do believe that I am a great sponsor simply because I empower and inspire people and I don't baby them or feed them lies. That was important to me when I was first sponsored and that's how I lead.

QOTD: probably 24 hours....I try not to go over that...people act crazy when they do..LOL!
  • Wow Eric that was deep. I had to watch it a couple of times. Would I want to be sponsored by me? There are days when I go to bed and think I really could have done more. I am getting closer every day.

The longest I have ever gone with out sleep was 49 hours to win a bet in college.
  • Hey Eric
I do ask myself this question sometimes, and the answer is NO. I'm not ready, yet, to be sponsored be me.
Thanks to you Mr. Eric and NetworkMarketingPro is really helping for me to become clever and I feel that my knowledge is getting better.
QOTD: around two days without sleep, but it was long time ago, so I don't remember exactly period of time.
  • Arne_Bortveit
Funny you should ask that question Eric , because this is the exact question i am asking my self every day.
It really makes a big difference and impacts the way i plan ahead.
But i rather use the word "mentor" instead of sponsor, because i also work with crosslines. :)

    Keep it coming Eric :)
  • Nope. Of course not. The BEST sponsor EVER? Nope. Would I like a team of people like me? Absolutely. Would I like it if every one of them were a sponsor like me? Yup. But am I the BEST I can think of? Nope.
Will I help? Yup. Will I hound? Nope. I prefer to be independent, and would like my team to be also.

QOTD- I think I went like 36 once or twice. I had to write something, stayed up all night, then DJ'd a night, and something like. Also drove for 30 hours straight once, and had gotten up early that day that I started.

Nowadays if I don't sleep well for a few nights I get massive headaches, so that is OUT for me.
  • Eric, That is a great Backdrop,... Again.. love that view.. Deb and i have a rolling field behind us that extends to a small wooded area and Soybean/Corn fields surrounding those. Another great view to wake up to each morning. but water IS the best. I think that I am a good sponsor but not yet great, So to answer your question, Yes I would want to be sponsored by me, But i have alot of growing both professionally and personally to become great. That One reason i believe that NMPRO is so vital as a tool to those like me who want to become great. Just to watch the posture and tidbits of information that is observed as part of the "Null Curiculum" or Unsaid lessons is Unbelievable!

QOTD: 48 hours... Slept 15 hours afterwords... messes with your head terribly and body for a week..
  • bobstevens
Say Yes To Me! I have done this and believe in this! I lost my job and was overweight with high blood pressure. I decided to loss weight and when I completed this task I wanted to get back to work. I lost 57 pounds in 4 months! Next, I wanted to work my network marketing business and I am currently working on that. I found network marketing pros from my upline. I love these videos you put out. Thank You So Much!

  • billgadol
    My answer is YES!

Have gone over 24 hours, but that was a long, long time ago.
  • Erik
Abouth 50 Hours - It was not pleasant. It was some kind of a bet, and I did it, but wouldnt do it again :)
  • joannemorris
OH, YES, YES, YESSSS!!! If I had 5 people just like me in my organization I would struggle no more! I am the ultimate sponsor...........wanna call me?

Going without sleep is for young people and I am out of that category!! When going without sleep (no drugs, please) for 24 hours, I was miserable recovering from it. No thank you, I LIKE MY SLEEP!!
    Jo Anne Morris
  • You're a lucky man Eric to wake up to that view everyday. Gorgeous!
That is a GREAT question, "Would I want to be sponsored by me?" It really makes you think and helps us become the leader we need to be.

    QOTD: Probably about 36 hours.
  • 36 hours
  • i would want to be sponsored by me although i am not perfect. i still have a lot to learn.
  • about 28 hours without sleep.
  • Thanks for this show Eric. Be back tomorrow....regards from your biggest fan.
  • galew2
I've gone without sleep for 36 hours a number of times. It was always when I was motivated and couldn't stop the forward progress of my thoughts and actions.
  • At this point I would have to be very honest and say I would NOT want to be sponsored by me, very thought provoking, thank you Eric.
AOTD; When I was in the forces I went (many times) with no sleep for over 48 hours, more recently because of work about 34 hours and it hurt...lol
  • I feel that I am definitely the ultimate sponsor because I have a true passion for helping people and seeing them succeed. I realize that if they don't succeed, then I fail. This is the mentality that you have to have in order to be a great sponsor as well as leader
  • Frost!? It's still about 70 here in Louisiana!

I've gone about 52 hrs without sleep. Architecture school.

I think that what you are telling us really falls into line with branding yourself. You MUST become an expert if you want your business to really be something you can gain from down the road. Mike Dillard does a great job at teaching this in his Magnetic Sponsoring and Black Belt Recruiting courses.

The point is, to become the ULTIMATE SPONSOR, you must become the expert, which means investing in YOU! Professionals are educated. Not only in classes, but in the school of life. For real.

Thanks for the great stuff and I hope I added some value. Thanks!
  • Sergio Quintana (Mex)
I think the longest was 24 hours, long a go. Thank God I´m not a MD.

Have a great day you all
