NMPRO #192 – Becoming Fearless!

December 8th, 2009 Email This

This was filmed from my room at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.  The actual message is only 3 minutes long.  The rest of it is the famous Bellagio fountain show.  Hope you enjoy it.  Question of the Day (QOTD):  What was your favorite Christmas (or other Holiday) present of All Time?

Good tip - fear only gives us another challenge to overcome in life. There's nothing like overcoming certain fears. Great fountain show. I've seen it in Vegas. A great time. :)

    don't have one.

I think I missed commenting on this video. I also never thought I would buy a book authored by 50 cents, but here goes...it sounds excellent. My two favorite gifts were my first horse from my parents and a ring from my husband.
  • Worthy of a second look! I am looking forward to discovering this book. My favorite childtime Christmas gift was my own sewing machine. My favorite more recent gift was my Kindle.

Absolutly amazing, what a beautiful show, what an incredible way to end your presentation, make us think about our fears and while we do that enjoy something so wonderful. Thank u Eric, and yes we all have fears, u have made me realize that a week ago I actually started a new fear due to something that happened to me, well one more to work on... u mentioned the fear of rejection... well that is one that takes a bit of time to overcome, I am still working on that one and actually thought that culture has a lot to do with it, when u live in small countries you are raised with fear of many things, unfortunatly this is a way of raising your kids... here. Thank u for yr suggestions, ideas and imput, now I will be even more concious about it, you see, sometimes we think we are not afraid of something because there r different ways in which fear mannifests itself, but a big part of it is being able to identify it. I have a lot to work on. Challenges.. my favorite!! want to know why? after each one goes, u r left with growth, personal growth!!!!!! so u r richer!! Have an amazing day.
  • Favorite Present of all time... Thats easy my Shiny New Blue Banana Seat Bike when i was 6 years old... Never forget it!!:)

Fear! my biggest hindrance, I am not afraid of doing presentations, it's getting individuals to listen. I am in an area where the unemployment is extremely high, I have noticed that as you approach someone to ask them to listen the walls immediately go up and from that instant on you find you're being avoided. It's the same with everyone neighbours Church members so called friends. They won't even try to learn that they are not going to be spending any extra money if they don't want to all they have to do is switch stores for a product that's better for them and the environment. It's difficult, any suggestions?

Eric I love you and always have.
  • I was just sitting here thinking and alot of the time it's almost like many of us are afraid without even knowing it. I have had many instances where I find myself not doing the things that I know I should do, however I do not consider myself to be afraid because I've studied what to say and so forth but I still fail to communicate with others about my business on a consistent basis and I believe that subconsciously I fear the rejection while in my conscious mind I feel that I do not.

Yeah, great book. There is also a book from an other rapper, Master P. The book is called Guaranteed succes, also a great book.

Eric Thanks for sharing this beautiful show! I definitely have to go there and see it personally!

As fas as my favorite present of all time.... WOW this is hard! It highly depends on the priorities of the day!

But perhaps one of the most memorable was a Track that I could build all over my room... But to be honest, all presents are awesome, but more importantly is the love that they are given with, and that is what I really have to grateful for, that I have been surrounded by love all of my life.

    Have a wonderful day!

Thanks Eric, I am heading to B&N at lunch to buy the book. I definitely appreciate this video on fear; usually there are very few fears that hold us back from so much in life, so it is important to face them.

QOTD: I think my most favorite present of all time was actually a gift that my sister and I gave to my family. Last Xmas we decided to go for a really meaningful approach. What we did was list all of my family member's names on a piece of paper (approx. 25 ppl). We then thought of 3 adjectives that described each person, then we searched for a quote for each person that spoke to those qualities. Then we went to a cigar shop and got 25 wooden cigar boxes and painted them black. We then wrote the quote on the respective box for each person. On Xmas day we gathered together and presented each member with their box and our reason for choosing their quote. We identified the box as their dream/vision box and that was how it was to be used. To start the process off we gave everyone a piece of paper and had them answer this question: "WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU KNEW, WITH 100% ASSURANCE, THAT YOU WOULD NOT FAIL?"

It was amazing to hear all of the different goals and aspirations people, you've known all your life, had but kept to themselves for whatever reason. It was also somewhat sad to see the tears of some who realized how deep they had buried their dreams. The gift to me was (1) seeing how happy people became by even talking about their dreams and (2) understanding the importance of knowing my own dreams and never letting them die.

My favorite Christmas gift was when I was 13 my parents broke down and finally bought me my first horse. My life has not been the same since!
  • FEAR drives us and fear limits us.

Great message Eric and wonderful show. Thank you for reminder to deal with fairs, it is very important. Bob Proctor is teaching to face the fairs and they will disappear, as they only exsist in our minds and does not mean actualy anything.

QOTD: I guess there is no favourite present, as I cannot remember any I can call favourite. I like all the presents I get.

FEAR-false evidence appearing real-is a debilitating issue that has handicapped too many of us for too long. With your help and other positive reinforcement Eric, we can enlighten, share and change others to conquer this spirit bending malady. Great show at the Bellagio! The greatest holiday gift I had was actually a puppy I acquired around Thanksgiving as a surprise for the kids, she was one of our best pets ever.
  • latachia_2
    Great message! Great video.
One of the things I enjoyed the most when I lived in Vegas, was going to THE Bellagio to see the waters dance! They are always so beautiful. It's totally amazing how thwy can make them dance to so many different kinds of music.QOTD: So far, getting to see THE Dancing waters from home! I love them.
Best present of all time was, when my parents gave each of us presents to each of us(there are 3 of us siblings)wrapped in all different sizes& come to find out,it was the very same thing for all of us. It was money!I don't even remember how much it was.We all learned a good lesson from that& to this day, that was my favorite present.I think it was more of all the excitement that went with it all.My parents always made sure we always had a wonderful Christmas. That one was just my favorite. It is duch happy memories to think about it all again!
  • Fear is the number one reason for depressions. We fear too much. Our Boss, what people might think of us, will we succeed or not, not knowing what to do with life, etc, etc...

Living without fear is the number one characteristic we should live upon, as NMPros.

You are getting better every time, Eric.

QOTD: Sara! hehehe (Just between us, if I said anything else, I would be history, hehehe)

    Love you all

    Hello Eric,
Thanks for telling me to read the 50th Cent.
I have been walking in the mall and I have seen this book in a bookstore window.
Fear is a very powerful force that keeps us from developing and helping others.
I had to understand that if you remove fear from your life, you can grow and become the person that you always wanted to be. We can live in abundance if we remove FEAR from our mind and spirit.
Have a Safe and Fearless Holiday Season
    Peace and Blessings to All,
    DG

What a beautiful sight, that Bellagio in Las Vegas. I haven't seen it 27 years ago, when we went to Vegas several times (we lived in L.A. for a year). I think it wasn't there yet, then?
Thanks for sharing. And for your message about that law and being fearless.

My best New Years Eve was 2 years ago, when my husband and I got the message that we finally were to become grandparents! We were at our daughter's home and right before 0.00 hrs. she told us. We were waiting for this so long and it is such a joy to have a grandson! He is 2 yrs. and 3 months now.

Thanks for this nice question of the day.

My best Christmas was last year. After surviving what the doctors called a fatal heart attack in July - my family and I spent Christmas in New York City. It was such a special time to be in New York that we have made it our Christmas tradition and will be spending Christmas there again this year, and next year... As long as our kids will go with us (and maybe their spouses someday) , we plan on getting away at Christmas. I have no idea what present I received three years ago, but I will always be able to tell you where I was on Christmas 2008. As Jim Rohn taught us, people remember their relationships and time spent with loved ones. I desire to treasure special times and memories with those closest to me, my wife and two great children.
  • QOTD: The best present was not getting one several times. That gave me the responsability and the pleasure of actually creating my own presents in life. And actually today i live everyday as a Christmas, New Year, or any other day because all are MY DAYS, and i love what i do, i love where i'm going, i love who i am, and who i'm becoming.
    Fired up man!
  • ericworre
    I LOVE that! :)
  • Fear is such a great thing in so many people lives. It stops us from leaving our comfort zone and achieving the potential that we each have to live in abundance and prosperity as well as help others along to do the same.
Thanks so much for sharing this Eric. I agree, the book you recommended would not have been on my radar as a top pick. It's added to the list now.
AOTD: I used to think it was stuff, but over the past 10 years it has been about being with my family and friends and helping others to be able to do the same.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • Great topic, Eric. Fear is the cause of so much stagnation in our lives. Overcoming fear can truly release our full potential.

Great fountain show - thanks for sharing. Poetic - almost like watching a dance show.

QOTD: Best New Year's present .... my middle child was born Jan. 2nd - priceless!

    Best,
    Scott

I'm sure the book has excellent content, I've read the introduction and I'll probably read it in its entirety, but his atheistic statement, "Out of fear, we also developed religion and various belief systems to comfort us" is in direct opposition to what I, and hopefully many other NMP faithful, believe. Like I said, I'll probably read it, but I'll consider the source as I do.
  • ericworre
    Bryan, I agree completely.

Fear comes in so many ways. Before I was fear of speaking into public from the stage but the more I do it the more I get used to the fear as long I can deside tha t my fear will not stop me from what I want to do. So today I love to be on the stage and cope with my fear and it will no longer hold me back.
Life sends me new fears to deal with and as robin Sharma says - Behind the walls of fear lives my best life and growth.
Thank you for bringing my favorite subject up , Eric!
  • QOTD: The best present is spending time with friends and family eating the food that only seems to show up at special occasions. Families come together and last year it took over six hours to distribute all the gifts. The faces of children with eyes and smiles glowing is magical.

Generate being fearless! I suspect it drys up apathy at the same time.
  • Whooha...that's magic!!!!! I will order the book Eric. When's your book on the shelves my friend? You're the absolute number one Mr. Worre....take care and regards from your biggest fan.
  • Erik
I think I like New Years Eve best. Not sure wich one. The reason I like them is that they gives you hope that next year will be the best year ever. And New Years Eve 2009 will be great. 2010 will be a great year :)
