If 1000 people show up for a job with 2 openings, 998 have to go home no matter how well qualified. In MLM, EVERYONE who wants to can try. If even 10% succeeded, that would be 100 out of that 1000. 98 more people than could have succeeded with the job.

Don't know about new years resolutions, but here is my explanation about why so many fail. I know that we live in a society that favors instant gratification, we have to have it now....... and we are always looking for a quick fix to fill ourselves up or feel better. And it is definitely not going to happen in this profession. If one really desires a better quality of life and financial freedom one will have to pay a price, because this profession is a true journey of transformation.......and any true transformation one will encounter pain...........that means having to change and grow and to face and look at oneself with ruthless honesty......it is a willingness to face ones own weakness's, overcome one's own obstacles through the power of God's love, faith and trust......... belief and commitment......... and more times than not it will require sheer will power, determination, courage and endurance. In order to endure one will have to grow a warrior spirit. I heard once that whatever you grow....it grows you. And it is true, especially in this business, one cannot be faint hearted to stay in the race and continue on the journey. If you choose to stay on the journey and if it is truly for you...... the highest and greatest God given gift you will find is more of yourself and your God given potential and talents in the process of serving your fellow man.......This business is a true gift......it is purpose and mission driven, it demands that you be more and become more. It requires a sacrificial life, because it is a life that is greater than oneself because this profession is a true life of service......It is all about the first and second commandment.....Loving your God and loving your neighbor as yourself, and the Divine seeds of wanting to give more and to become more have been planted within all of us .

I am not sure what the percentage might be. Thank you Eric and Len for sharing your approach. You very well answered one of the FAQ inside mlm and outside mlm.

1) The statement “More than 90% of people fail (quit) in MLM” is true, but it shows only the half truth. The full truth is that “More than 90% people fail in mlm AND it’s also true that more than 90% people fail (quit) in every other field”

2) There is a fine difference between quit and fail. People do not fail rather they quit.

3) Everything worthwhile has a price tag. Success also has its own price tag. But this price is in the form of ‘hardship’, ‘consistency’, ‘perseverance’, ‘hard work’, ‘integrity’ and ‘passion’. Other rule is you have to pay this price "in full" as well as "advance": No credit, No installment. And 90% people are not willing to pay the price. They think success to be a matter of chance or luck.

Eric your plan of 1-3-5-7 "odd years" shows real expectations and guidelines. Its not odd at all. This will definitely remove the “lottery mentality and will increase the success ratio.

“Quitters never win and winners never quit”

Javed Iqbal
Educator | Empowerer | Entrepreneur
Lahore, Pakistan.

Great episode!
