Yes, when you are sailing, and the wind is coming at you from a less than ideal direction, you 'tack' into the wind and you make it. Similarly, when you are attempting to hike up a very steep hill, instead of going straight up, you zig zag across the face of it until you reach the top. It doesn't matter HOW you reach your goal, as long as you do, and the only way to get there is to not quit. You can't turn around partway to the top and expect success. Some people will reach the peak quickly, for others it may take considerable time. The point is.... to keep going until you get there. This is a great message.
