NMPRO #209 – Another Decade Goes By In A FLASH

December 31st, 2009 Email This

It’s amazing how quickly time can pass.  It seems like just yesterday that we were all preparing for the big Y2K and here we are a Decade later.  Incredible.  As I look back, it has been a decade of extremes for me… a true roller coaster of emotions and experiences.  Wow, what a journey.  I am so looking forward to the exciting adventure in the 2nd decade of the New Millenium.  Let’s all do something special together.  Question of the Day (QOTD): What is the single most memorable experience for you in the past 10 years?  What immediately comes to mind?

  • Have a great 2010 everyone!!! I've had a lot happen in the last 10 years- got married, released a book, my country has changed completely, and I've gotten MUCH better looking....

QOTD- -well, I'm just glad that I went to the Phish concert of the millennium instead of hanging out with that girlfriend of the time who didn't want to go!
  • enriquecaz
That is soo rigth Eric!!! for having a better New Year, we HAVE to be BETTER, it is insane if we stop and just wait for this year to be better without doing nothing, shame on us!!!!... Eric, thanks again for being a brigther ligth in our journey!!!...

AOTD.- my first and only (for now) babygirl was borned in this decade!!!! this is the MOST memorable experience.

    Saludos, Enrique.
  • granttomkins
I don't know that i could pinpoint 1 but a couple that immediatly spring to mind are, getting married, having two baby boys and one on the way right now, and getting into business for myself with my other company and joining your company also.

Yes, Eric. I am working hard to brush up my skills, and I am learning a lot from you too, as a professional in network marketing. I have got my plan for my business for the next twelve months, and I will, like you say, work my ass out. Wish you have a wonderful year.
  • AOTD: I joined MLM. This move changed my life :)
  • Vonnita2010
    BECOMING A MOM!!! GIVING LIFE!!!
  • John Coonley
Great idea. I'm with you and looking forward to the next 100+ shows and moving my business to greater heights by helping, blessing and serving others.
  • As you say Eric, the next 10 years can and will be the best of our lives if we decide to make it so. The last ten were great - I got myself out of that J.O.B. mindset, had the fun of enjoying two new first grand-children, and got my mind clear on Network Marketing, thanks to people like yourself. It is time to become a Network Marketing Pro.
  • This is going to be great In all the time I've been in this business no one would give details
    They are always vague
I can't waite to here more
  • petegiokas
This was awesome Eric and I can't wait for the next part. What Dan said about the 3 Core Characteristics of Desire, Work Ethic and Teachability really resonated with me. We have to keep things simple in order to duplicate. Talk soon! Pete
  • Everyone has the intrinsic power to change. This year many magical things will happen from commitment, perseverance, passion, personal development, and massive action.
  • To biggest things that I'm committed to: change in myself, and change in what I do.

    Thanks Eric
  • Just cought your 100 show challange ;) Lets start ;)
  • juanfernandogutierrez
I have been in this profession for 5 months; I quit my job, I make more money now, I have more time; I work with my friends I love my new life.... Thank you Erick we really have a better way. Regards from Ecuador to the World.

Remember it is not what you´ve got; it is what you do with what you´ve got.
  • My most memorable experience was my first day in Colombia and when I commented on how great the weather was, it was a Christmas day, 72 degrees and sunny, I was told it was no big deal, it was like that day every day here. It is.
  • ido_aronson
    Eric.
    You have an amazing gift.
When you go "personal" as you do durung the 45 seconds starting at 1:00 people just shut up and focus.
You are a great help and source of inspiration - not to mention a significant database of information I use when I need some additional ligitimations - other then my personal upline's.
People are actually amazed I come up with info I deliberately take from you and NOT from my personal upline (even when they say the same :) )

    Great Job.
My wish for you I will tell you in person; one day.
    Happy decade my friend.
  • beckydesabah
This last decade was full of decisions . . . My daughters moved out and live on their own since december 2008(this is not very common in Mexico) which delighted me as a mom. This is my most memorable experience.
  • Between Y2K and now has been a life changing experience....I guess the most remarkable change has been the birth of my granddaughter...My desire is to grow a business that will, at her interest, grow with her and her children and so on and so on etc.....
  • I am looking forward to the next 10 years of my life.
  • Yes imagine a whole new decade has whizzed by. This is the time to say..."where do you want to be in 2020? I can clearly remember the beginning of a whole new decade Y2K aside...this is it...
I know this year and the decade ahead will be the watershed of our industry-this is it..and we do have the better way-let's get out there and show other people!
  • quincy
I agree, in order for things to change we've got to change. NMPRO will be helping with my change in 2010.
  • I'm glad 2009 is done.
I always put the past behind and move on to bigger and better things.
  • billrogers
    Hi Eric!
Yes time is passing quickly. My most memorable experience is spending each year with a long weekend away with the immediate family/ we have done this vor over 18 years
  • genegrass
Hi Eric. I have watched your show for 2-3 months and pull at least one nugget from each show to apply to my life, mental adjustment, or business. I definite "posture" change in my business over this time frame. I look forward to 100 challenge to build on it. I have noticed an increase in the progress of my business during the time I began watching and implementing the wisdom you provide. Keep up the fantastic work!

I am grateful I found your site. Yes...I commit. I am in for the challenge!! Best Wishes for in 2010 to you and all my NMP partners. Happy New Year!!
  • I'm so looking forward to 2010. It's going to be a great year!

QOTD: The birth of 2 beautiful children, William now 6 and Kittie aged 3. Oh, and England beating the Aussies to win the Ashes......twice!!

    Awesome!
  • Paco_Carreno
I'm so excited with a new decade to start because 10 years ago I was a fresh-guy starting university with no serious ambition on what to do more than finishing university, find a job and let it goes... I start a new decade, a decade where I feel I will make that change this industry provide in those who make a decision, develope the skills, study, practice and teach (as Mr. Rohn tough us). In this decade I will start and velope myself as a NMP. Thank you for your commitment Eric. And best whishes to all of you my NMP partners!!
  • hcapcarp
It takes great courage and disipline to change I hope I am up for it. Hope it doesn't take another decade.
  • denagottlieb
You made me think about what I was doing 10 years ago.
I was with a software firm that was selling Y2K solutions. We were trying to convince everyone that their software systems would crash unless they bought our "verification" solutions.
Boy, have the last 10 years flown by.
I am not yet living my dream but I believe in me and I believe in mlm. With God's help I'm going to make it happen!
  • raybeattie
    Eric,

Seeing our daughter graduate from college :0)
  • carybennett
Yes sir time flies ready to go
  • jbledsoejr
Personal responsibility...so true! We have to change...focus on that and many other things will begin to change. Good stuff...thanks for sharing!

QOTD: Again I won't choose 1, but 2 words sum up my decade--->"Giving birth". In this decade all the following were "birthed" in my life...1) marriage to my wonderful wife, 2) children (our 1st child born in the 1st yr of the decade, our 2nd in the middle, our 3rd (& last...we think...smiles) here recently in the last yr of the decade, 3) my entrepreneur endeavors were born this decade, 4) my NM career was born and 5) a new mindset of personal growth. All of these have DRASTICALLY changed my life for the better and I am so looking forward to "raising" and "growing" them all to full maturity.
  • QueenNaxen
This will be the year that will absolutely change my life. I'm graduating from high school, going to college, learning to be a professional in this business.... Thank you for everything so far Eric. I'll be here with you for at least the next hundred episodes or so. *Smile*
  • emmettb
100 shows it is! I have followed from the shadows, drinking in all the info. I have truely grown with you. Now, let's go tell the world :)
  • JudasPierce
    time flies by
  • Dee_Canada
You are SO right as usual Eric. This decade went WHOOSH!! I smack myself in the back of the head (see Mark Harmon in old episodes of NCIS for the exact style) when I think of all that I wasted in the past ten years!! pfffffffffft!! Time to move forward!!
  • Dee_Canada
I love this message Eric. It is such a true illustration. We cannot control the wind....but we can control how we utilize the wind to our advantage!!
  • I look forward to doing amazing things together Eric through the next year and decade. Thanks.
AOTD: The birth of my daughter at 12:51 pm on August 10th, 2000.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless!
  • Jeroen Lingier

The first day of the new decade :)
  • My daughter and I were "visualizing" the amazingly successful year about to start when a group of our associates passed by. We took it as a great omen for things to come: Hugs, good wishes, pictures, fireworks.
    Happy New Year, everybody!
Thanks for your wonderful info and see you in SFO, Eric!
Leaving everything behind to forge a new life for my kids and me, in a new country, was a scary experience. Network Marketing is a life saver!
  • Ellis3
Thanks for the year of NMPro Eric! This is indeed my year to shine ... taking all that you have taught in, I plan on teaching my teachers to teach the profession!!!!
    What a great business!!
  • latachia_2
That is an awesome message to lead us all into the NewYear with. Thank you for being such a great mentor to us& all of your leadership.
Yes,a lot of stuff happened in the last 10 years.Y2K,& 911 seemed to be the ones that mostly stand out. There are several other things as well, but those 2 things seemed to" set the sails "for the decade.
  • You're an inspiring person Eric Worre. You will do great things this decade.

QOTD: 2 of my 3 amazing children were born last decade. How about you Eric? What is your single most memorable experience in the past 10 years?
  • peterburrows
It is a fact that I NOW have a better way.....and I intend to tell the world. Thanks for your insight.
QOTD....without a doubt my first multi win with my fantastic opportunity..... 7/8/07. An enormous 49 cents, but it has been the bed rock of my business. I have won every, every week since......
  • Marion
Happy New Year to everyone - I know 2010 is going to BIG for all of us.
QOTD: not one but two memorable experiences has to be the weddings of both my children. That also puts us into a different situation for the next decade and I look forward to it with anticipation.
  • shawncyr
My single most memorable experience in the last 10 years would my wedding and the births of my two daughters. All wonderful experiences.
I am looking forward to my journey this year.
  • Eric...Happy New Year ... wishing you and yours Everlasting Health ... Happiness ... Peace ...Prosperity and LOVE !! Thank you for being YOU !! QOTD - 09/11/01
  • lisamb84
Happy New Year to you and yours, Eric! Thanks for this great site. I look forward to your video each day.

QOTD: Undoubtedly the most memorable experience of the past decade for me was the two-year term I spent in Ukraine as a missionary. It's much too comprehensive to go into detail here, but suffice it say that it was life-changing. Recently, one of the leaders in my company made the connection between network marketing and being a missionary. That immediately resonated with me and has given me a new perspective on building relationships, serving, and leadership.
  • I believe in this case the quote from Dr. Robert Schuller is correct: "If it has to be, it's up to me." Taking responsibility IS up to everyone individually, then we can help others reach their goals. It's the best thing even if it's not the easiest thing to accomplish. (Mr. Rohn said that, I believe). Happy New Year to the Entire NM PRO community.

QOTD: PERSONALLY- It may sound cheesy or mushy, But the first time I kissed my wife on our first date on Friday, September 13, 2002. I still remember EVERYTHING about that moment and knew I found someone special that night. We've now been married almost 6 1/2 years. It was a moment I'll always remember and smile. Because of her I want to be a better man and one of the biggest reason I've decided 2010 IS THE YEAR I AM GOING PRO !!

PROFESSIONALLY- Walking into my first major Event in Salt Lake City's Salt Palace Convention Center in October of 2007 and Realizing I was finally home professionally. It was also the first time I met many of the people I now call my chosen family.
  • bethascoli
That's not cheesy, it's sweet! Personally, my sweetest memory of the decade was two years ago on New Years Eve, when my fiancee proposed to me :) I didn't know he was going to do it, so it completely took me by surprise. 2010 is the year that we will get married, as well as take our business to a new level. It's a going to be a great year. Happy New Year everyone!

    Cheers!,
    Beth

Ending 2009 with NMPRO#209 and starting the year 2010 with NMPRO #210!!!!!
  • lorieharrell
QOTD: The birth of my amazing daughter....the 5th addition to a family of 4 boys. It makes me think of many things around that....the journey, the decisions, quite extraordinary the last 10 years have been.
  • This morning I am Taking some time this morning to send the appropriate 'Thank You's' to those that made a difference in my life in 2009. Eric and his show Network Marketing Pro have made a significant difference in my business this past year. This month I rank advanced to 7 star and the elite founders pool with my company. I still remember the first time I saw his speak in Scottsdale (when I first started my networking career). It's been a long and windy road, - and I've certainly had my share of detours:) I thank you Eric for your constant leadership, guidance and direction my friend.

    In the spirit of success;

    Travis Flaherty
    AKA: Golfer Guy;)
  • Jillian
Happy New Year to all, and again a sincere vote of thanks Eric for this daily pep talk. A way to learn about the professionalism that is needed in this industry to take it to the next level. What a way to start 2010!
    QOTD: My daughter's wedding
  • Yeah, 2010 will be a Prosperous year!

QOTD: The birth of my two beautiful granddaughters, Isabella & Julia. :)

Wishing everyone good health, happiness, and a prosperous 2010!
  • carybennett
Thanks for all these Videos. Very inspiring. Just wanted to say thanks and its also cool that Tomorrows episode will be #210 kinda cool i thought. You Probably planned that LOL.. Happy New Year Eric.
  • quintaser
QOTD: My trip with my wife to Vancouver in 2002, specially, to the Vancouver Island, to the city of Victoria to see the wonderful Butchart Gardens, that is the must incredible WOW experience of the decade.
On the other hand, I was thinking that I spend more time with you Eric, that I spend with any member of my family (excluding my wife and daughters) or my closest friends, so you have become as a member of my close family and my closest friend. In fact, you are my leader.
I want to thank you for what you are doing, and the love and passion you are putting in every single post.

God bless you and your family. Happy 2010. Von Vogage

Have a Happy New Year Everyone!

QOTD: Not to be negative, but what first comes to mind was when I was in a very bad car accident. It reminds me how short life can be and why it's so important to be financially free. We weren't meant to spend our life in a cubicle, or in front of a TV and not see the world. Hence, Network Marketing is the better way.

So for the New Year here's one of my favorite sayings: Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That's why it's called the Present.
  • quintaser
Wonderful quote. Have an amazing 2010

  • MattinJaxfl
Have a great and safe New Year everyone! This is one of your best QOTDs. You mentioned the roller coaster you have been on and I think most of us can share that analogy. I love what Jim Rohn said "What do you think the next ten years will look like? Probably alot like the last ten. Great opportunity mixed with difficulty!" My most memorable experiences were not very uplifting so I will refrain from posting them. However, one of my most memorable came at the beginning of this year when I rediscovered the power and joy of personal development with Mr. Rohn. Bring on the new decade because I have chosen a much better set of the sail for this one than for the last one!
  • Great point on taking responsibility, that’s so important. It's too easy for us to point at exterior factors for our dissatisfactions, but until we take full responsibility for our results we will never have any real control of our life and will constantly be at the mercy of those “exterior factors”

Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all enjoy merry and safe celebrations with friends and family to bring in 2010!
  • Like always.....an eye-opener for me. You are absolutely right Mr.Worre. We see eachother for sure in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to shake hands again, and follow my dream in 2010. I can't say thank you enough for all your support and friendship the last year. For now, take good care and have a wonderful evening with Marina and family. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • QOTD: It was hard to answer this question; was it discovering MLM? was it knowing new friends? finding products that will help my body stay away from serious diseases?

Finally what I really think was memorable was getting the opportunity to not leave this live without knowing that I am not alone on my determination on wanting and believing I can get what everyone desires: FREEDOM!

All of you are here believing the same and we are all blessed to have the Internet, which alow us to more easily bond with people living so far away from each other.

Hope everybody stays with us, and keeps believing!

All, have a great new year!

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues
  • Erik
    Happy New Year :)
QOTD : To be a father to my 1 year old and 3 year old :)
