    Hard work pays!

Live within your budget- Thats boring but important-
  • aliceflanders
I so appreciate what you are doing for us.
  • Miguel Cortez
Feel the Fear and do it Anyway.....
  • InspiredDeb
Dan has hit the nail on the head - if you don't believe in the business, if you don't believe in the business model, if you don't believe in what you are doing ... failure is certain. Success is merely an effect. You are the cause. And the whole thing starts with BELIEF!
  • wealthandriches
I'm always amazed at how Network Marketing model can make "an average Joe" into a Millionaire.
  • Making my comment for the challenge...but since I am catching up I am skipping forward to the full Complete & Uncut version...Hope this counts and isn't cheating! LOL
  • Before I got involved in the MLM business I hated (yes HATED) networkmarketing because I had been approached the wrong way far too many times. I took me 4 years in the business to overcome that limiting belief, then on more to get my head clear of all the 'traditional business' ideas.
  • yitz613
Only aNMPro can appreciate fully that this business can't be taken for granted. Also remember the speed of the leader is the speed of the organization. After "taking 6 yrs off " and going into mgt mode, I learned the hard way , but now I'm back. Thanks for all the great info and inspiration
  • Rubina
Don't take it for granted. Makes sense....the speed of the leader is the speed of the gang.
  • meagankellytorres
Sense of urgency and fear of loss. Sometimes I feel manipulative using these techniques when talking to people, but I guess when you look at it as just a method to help them get their defenses down long enough to even look at the opportunity, then it is necessary. Because if people think they have all the time in the world to take a look at something then they will put it off till the last minute. It's human nature. We do 80% of a job in the last 20% of time. Our business is about understanding human nature and working with it, not against it. Helping people get out of their robotic automatic routines and ways of looking at things and helping them to see what is possible. I love this industry!
  • Alex4nder
Very topic! and a big lesson
  • Elaine Baril
    Good...
  • nelleke
Big lesson, don't take it for granted! Leave arrogance behind.
  • Even with the economy, do you find that people still look down on our industry? Is this their last option? So many success stories I hear about are from people that didn't have any other place to go. There is almost a sense of desperation, with a built in sense of urgency. Like the story of the general that burned the army's ships - there was no chance of retreat - only fight to win, or die trying.

Regardless of whether it's our first choice or our last option, there is a price to be paid for success - or failure. Which will you choose?
  • chiatkhor
I meet people in network marketing who has moved to a new bigger house, who has bought their new luxurious car, who make a lot of money and so on. It is a good news, and usually I will call that person and congratulate him once I know about it because I know how much effort they have put. I think we should cheer not only to their achievement, but their hard work and perseverance as well.
  • Calvin Boutilier
thanks, I'm slowly catching up with these videos...they are very inspiring.
  • travelprohawaii
Thank you for the insights. I thought my hangups were what was keeping me back and I was right. I need to up my beliefs and do what needs to be done so the little group that I have will do the same and turn into a bigger one.
  • I'll never take you for granted Eric, my hope for you is to continue NMPro.
  • Thanks, Eric @Dan !
  • Susan Peluso
This interview was very encouraging to me.It's good to here from someone who struggled and is now successful. I've been paying my dues.I just need to work harder.
  • MarvinTowler
Do the fundamentals! And thanks for the reminder that being a professional and building a world class organization requires hard work.
  • It can be done... And it's great to have people helping to point the way...
  • margarethockaday
Awesome life lessons. Will take everything in at a new light in regards to not taking things for granted. thanks
  • guydrennan
It looks like I have not failed enough. I have not paid the price. Ditto on the speed of your organization is the speed of the leader.
  • karen and ian
#213 - Sound advise - Don't take it for granted! The fact that you worked 7 days a week for 5 years speaks volumes on the size of your organization!
  • Grace2010
    Reposting. See previous post.
  • jeanalbert
Leverage the tools available today to accelerate your success!
  • Thank you Dan for great book "A Touch of Greatness" by Frank Tibolt .

Only few Days till I attend my first time to Our Company's BIG EVENT.
    I'm very excited :)
  • Miguel
It good to know that i can do this less then 3 years....

  • veronikakari
    I was here liestening
  • mspaulamc
I believe when people see our industry as their only "exit" strategy, then they will take action. And, yes, most people take this opportunity for granted.
  • rhhooker
    Good stuff!
  • heatherbrocklehurst
Some great lessons here. Thanks! This will be great to incorporate into our weekly meetings.

Thanks Dan - there is still hope for me!
  • ronaldvandomburg
why does it take so long before a comment is posted?
  • ronaldvandomburg
I don't like the idea of working 24/7
  • pasiaalto
Your speed will be the speed of your organization - that is very true. Thanks!
  • MDungey
Don't take it for granted! How many of do this? Need to watch the next one - I'm catching up
  • jewade32
I love this series Eric! This profession is definitely the greatest thing going in the world today. Thanks for sharing all this Awesome information.
  • dterrell
Great interview. Your speed will be the speed of your organization, thanks for the lesson Dan!
  • eugenejohnson
Im catching up now...im at a big event in Myrtle beach south Carolina...the funny thing is they are talking about the same fundamentals....this business does not change
  • Pepeneto
Your speed is the speed of your organization. Duplication in this bussiness can be your major fortune or your major problem. They will do what you do, even if what are you doing is incorrect...so, thats the responsability of the leader. Learn, study, look for a mentor to help you to get the right way to do things and pass it.
  • genegrass
Prepare to go to work. sense of loss, sense of URGENCY!!
A Touch of Greatness. Frank Tibolt For all success there is dridgery. You must PAY THE PRICE.
What is that price? Discipline ...Will power!

Tiblot makes will power second only to goal setting in importance and says himself:-
“Knowing you can depend on yourself to finish whatever you start builds self confidence faster than any other exercise discovered so far.”
Take nothing for granted ... Success takes applied work!

Speed of leader is rfeflected in the speed of the organization.

  • Krisi
It's sad that there are so many people who pass up this amazing opportunity because they think they can't or it's not there thing; SO WHAT! I'm not skilled in network marketing, but I'm going to be! I know I can do it!
  • There is always something to be said for the motto of rolling up your sleeves and going to work!
As the great Jim Rohn taught to be faithful when then amounts are small so that you are worthy of the larger ones...or something to that effect! No matter how much you earn protect it, that's probably an especially valuable lesson in this economy.
  • alltheverybest
Great post! No gain without pain. Speed of the leader... Ouch! :o)
  • CarlosVera
If we do not realize there’s a price to pay to actually make it in our industry we’ll keep making the same mistakes over and over again and we’ll never actually make it. We must to realize we should not take anything for granted and always be aware that success takes lots of work, it’s not magic.

Great lessons, keep coming up with this great stuff!!
  • When I see people in pain who join, some of them go on to great heights, others are so desperate they turn everyone off. There's got to be some sort of confident pain that can drive you without destroying you. I'm AWFUL to be around when I'm desperate!!
  • nickgarrison
Timing is everything. Dan stated some of the things that are preventing prospects from joining today. Some people just do not have enough pain. They are sitting on a nail but it does not hurt enough to get up and do something about it. My wife made the decision to join the company we are with. I made the decision to give network marketing a serious look and it is great. The other great point is about the money. It is important to live within your means and save as well. Companies come and go!!!
  • Donna Wheaton, Maplewood, MN
You know what stuck with me was the speed that you work is the speed your organization will work. And you wonder why there is no forward movement.
  • manalfakhoury
    Loved it!
  • Do the fundamentals!
I am thinking of all the people I have meet, that think they are to great for this type of business too...
    If they just knew..... ;)
  • seija
    Great session, thank you.
  • Damijan81
Great lesson! I tend to forget that its not always easy easy easy, I'm reminded of episode #144 and having a workout partner which is my upline. It really helps me push thru and keep working the business.
  • Emmanuel
success is fun but a hard work, however, one of my uplines once said to me you have to enjoy the process. I learned once you start to enjoy the process the process become easy and fun.
  • KeithN
For all of success, there is drudgery. Many people are reluctant to work through what they feel are the boring and uncomfortable activities that are required for success. it's going to takes some work. More evidence of the Law of Association. Dan spent time around the right people within his company and organization, and did not take those experiences for granted.
  • Erik, I just want to complement you. Your note taking did not go unnoticed. You are true to your teachings & a man of honor. Thanks again, I can not tell you how valuable this resource is for our team!
  • DianaValdez
I don't mind working 24/7 as Don Catto was saying, my problem is that sometimes I kind of get stuck and don't know what to do, or what's the next step, even if I have free time. I am motivated, i made calls or prsentations or whatever and then I don'y know. So, the only thing I could come up with is to start listening or reading something that has to do with NM, or watch a video or something like that. I wish he would mentioned what else he did when this happened to him, if it happened to him.
  • Carlos Perez
Interesting, so the speed that one works, duplicates down.
  • thank you !
  • LisaR2010
Wow, thanks for the information. Look forward to hearing tomorrow.

    L
  • alcamacho
Dan is right, the speed that you work is the speed that your organization works. Thank you Mr. Worre awesome questions!
  • John Spardella
Good lesson to hear about not taking the biz for granted. Must treat it like anything else that is considered valuable and can be taken away from me.
  • classy70sgirl
It is certainly true that we have to focus on the fundamentals. And it is very important to attend the events and get as many of your team there as possible also; it is seeing and believing the success of others that gets our attention to work harder and improve ourselves and our skills.
And yes................ we are quite spoilt here in the west. But it is those people who are willing to think outside the circle AND the square that will get somewhere!
  • annenz
    Great session, thanks
  • JON FORTI
DAN IS VERY OPEN & HONEST WITH PAST EXPERIENCES .
  • donham298
You guys seem to always be learning. Dan has learned lessons many times.
Your videos are wonderful and so inspiring.
  • neilclements
Once again Dans Story about losing it all IT WAS ME....and about being Terrible at this ...4 Years in I am just Figuring this thing out! Thanks Both of You!
  • randers1
Fear of loss and sense of urgency; continue to focus on the fundamentals. This is interesting because I didn’t think about how much you could lose in one day in this business until this point. On the other end of the spectrum the amount you can gain in one day is substantial.
The western hemisphere has been spoiled for a while. Dan says hemisphere, not western us. All of us Americans have gotten used to living in a certain way that doesn’t require very much effort outside of the work place. I hate that because it limits our ability to reach our potential.
Pay the price for success or greatness. With anything of value there will be difficulties involved. This business proves this to be especially true.
Not taking it for granted. Taking it for granted to me is to think that everyone already knows about this and there isn’t anything you have to offer.
The speed of the group is the speed of you. This worries me Eric because I have been in the business for a year and a half and have only made $30. During this time the value I’ve found in myself is priceless. I’m finding it difficult to display that value intentionally. I’m going to start focusing on the fundamentals.
  • Eric Schindler
Still here and thankful you're doing this!
  • There's no secret formula than HARD WORK! We need to bust our faces off for the first yers. It's like when you try to push a car, at the beggining it'll be extremely hard but then the inertia will start to help you and then other people will join you to start pushing.

At the beginning you'll feel like the only idiot pushing a car but as the time goes by you'll realize that there are other idiots pushing hard to get a better life.

    Thanks Eric!
  • frankdiaz
thanks Eric each interview give nuggets that I can share with my team.....
  • juanfernandogutierrez
remember that people learn the good and the bad things they see
  • FrankMarshman
What you put into a group is what you get out. I heard that from John Crow 20 years ago... I think it is still just as true.
  • juanpablorico
"The speed of your team is the speed of you" ...., wow, I want to run mos faster .....
  • Earl
This clip makes me think of when ipods/MP3 players came out there were still some people that were still wanting to stay with cassette tapes. Maybe they were simply not wanting to change to something better because they didn't understand or appreciate the NEW/better way. (I guess that there are still some needs for cassette tape players somewhere...) Thanks for helping people find a better way...
  • I like the part that says - in every great accomplishment, there is always a time of drudgery. I think we often forget the spade work that happens in the background when we see people breeze through the stage to accept their advancement awards.
  • There's that concept of urgency again. Makes the concept of finding your why important if you are not in a desperate situation.
  • I like the fact that Dan stressed the concept of 'paying the price'. This doesn't come for free!

Like the recipe for success states:
    1. Decide what you want
    2. Determine the price that needs to be paid
    3. Pay the price ...

    Best to you,
    Scott
  • ido_aronson
This was kind of fun, watching this clip at the Philadelphia airport waiting for my connecting flight.
Usually it works out so that I get the newsletter in the morning, and the shows are just a great way to start the day with.

But, as it seems, also a great way to have people come up to you aksing what it is you are watching (make sure not to wear headphones have the volume up loud and have your answer ready )

Next show I will see from my hotel; no time for it now; boarding time...
  • cristiansolari
It seems that persistance is the key...not taken it for granted is a very good way to say it in a diferent way.
  • Great lesson Eric and Dan! So many people just think it should be an easy ride without any ups and downs. Nothing substitutes for hard work and continuing to keep your focus through the tough times that will happen.
  • penaltybox1
I just love these interviews so informative !!
  • Vange01
Be aware of what you are doing and learn and take action from that.
  • shawncyr
Taking things for granted...I think that would sum up my shortcomings. I've taken more than just the industry for granted. When I got started, I recruited about 7-8 people and then let it go on cruise control. I stopped doing what was working and figured that my team would do the rest. Talk about crash and burn. And don't get me wrong. I don't blame them, I blame myself for not helping them.
Now, I am taking my job for granted. I make a good income, work for the government and am feeling pretty secure, so I'm not pushing. Time to wake up and smell the roses and get busy.
  • nancyeldred
Eric - I like the honesty from Dan Catto and all your other guests as well as yourself, when you talk about your life experiences with the Network Marketing Industry.
People can relate to what you're saying.
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hello Eric We need to become a MLM Pro if we don´t do it,our downlines don´t do it either

    Saludos.
  • BobbyRay
I liked the moving fast as your group statement, which is very true. Don't wanna be left behind.
  • ockaren
Learn from ALL of your experiences, good and bad! Isn't that what this journey is all about?
  • Jessi
Not taking it for granted! Good lesson!
  • It is possible. Hard work and determination.
  • jayvannostrand
good stuff...good stuff...keep it coming Eric!!
  • We HAVE become spoiled in the Western World. There IS a price to pay! Most people here are shocked by that price and backpedal into the matrix. That's fine! (you wonder why immigrant communities are so successful in this country?) They'll be back to you when they are more desperate/motivated. However, I find that there are a few people, but very visible ones, that GET it. They understand that the sweetest fruits are there for those willing to climb the tree! Find them!
  • etronics6
    Thanks Guys!
  • To become successful you must be willing to do what is necessary...
  • jerryscribner
Very fundamental! Thats why I like it.
  • Great to hear what is possible with the right attitude when your chips are down!
  • gabor73
    Hi Eric,

    Thank you again :)

  • moisesbenaim
    great interviews
  • Goldie
Great points - it's hard work, but it's worth it. Thanks.
  • To have something that you dont have in your life, we really have to do some thing that we never done in our life. We have to pay price in order to get real big success in our business!!

    Thanks
  • coltsco
This entire interview is great. I've watched each one twice so far, and I know I'll go back and rewatch them at some time.
  • Steve_Nelson
This is good stuff! This may be the best million dollar interview yet, in my opinion. This and the Earl Shaw interview. The reason being they both talk about paying the price and how that is a must. You can't win big doing easy things
  • Leveraging is the key with great people sharing with us. Understand your product, believe in yourself, keep it simple and overall, keep working on you, every day. I believe Jim Rohn is a reflection of your site. Thank you for what you do!
  • donalmonaghan
Thanks Eric for all your help,do a bit everyday meet new people.
  • connietolton
    Late but still great.
  • Interesting how Dan says people in the emerging markets are more willing to go to work, even with the relative higher prices of the products. My company opened the first country outside of North America a few months ago and it surprised me how many from the Philippines are in the monthly rank advancements in a relatively short period of time.
  • dannyscottlynn
Eric, Today I started my day feeling like I had too much to do at my full time job to work on my part time fortune. I watched the interview today and now I somehow feel like there will be plenty of time to take care of both. Thanks for the videos, they help me keep my head up when I feel overwhelmed. Its nice to know there is a finish line not far away
  • Honestly, I had to think about this one. I did find it encouraging that Dan feels that, with today's technology, we can experience success much faster than in the past. Pretty vague comments in this episode, however.
  • Danit
Thank you for the great interview. MLM is a school of life and the best business school for sure.
  • oryah
mmmmmm....... A price to pay - there is sure one !!!!! every minute - worth it, including self growth - is huge !!!!!
  • germarl
    Even more invaluable information.
    Many thanks
  • ulla99
When I attended in my very first big event I found that this is my future. I felt such a good feeling which I never felt in my job in computor business. This is one of our biggest challence: to get new people to events. Thanks for your job Eric and Dan
  • ioana17
Thank you Dan. Thank you Eric.
  • Emmanuel
Dan just keeps on spilling the truth WOW
  • janetsnetpro
I had the best Networking meet up in 8 months last night because of the confidence I felt from
Dan and You, Eric...I can't thank you enough...my purpose it fulfilled. Janet
  • Agneta Rebo
I´m so greatful for this opportunity.
  • Thanks for the brutal honesty. There are a lot of Dan Catto's out there in need of our messages today.
  • georgeman
I appreciate hearing the insights, and truths, as well as the awesome stories. I find it to be very educational as well as entertaining. Dan is great, and very real, love the nuggets. Another great one, How can anyone ever get sick of this (I guess it's possible if someone lost the will to advance personally in life)? I used to have a motto that free advice, because it is free, most of the time is also worthless. Now, because of NMPRO, I must admit that I have altered the words to "free advice from the wrong people". OK, so my philosophy is changing, that has been happening since the first video I watched on this great resource.
  • I love the new tools and resources that can speed up the pace...i'm excited since i just joined the industry...it doesn't eliminate the basics, but does provide some nice leverage
  • Renata
getting better and better... but how... what exactly did u guys do? how did u approach people? how do u take rejections?
  • Bea Resnick
The speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack. I’ve heard that before – and I can admit that I’m not yet up to the speed (or the standard) I require. But I also know it’s important to be willing to do what I’ve got to do even when I'm not good at it, and trust that I'll get better!
  • Be known for something!
  • rosslopez
Dan's words are totally true... 12 years ago, when I started working on my current job (computer systems). I worked so hard that I became a professional on what I do now... same happens here, If I really want to become a Network Marketing Professional I need to work the same way, with a lot of dedication. And I'm very happy to hear that with the tools and resources we have we can get to the top in less much time =o) even if we are not a sales person

I also agree with Dan that when you attend to the big events and see the big picture of the industry, you realize that if many people were able to go so high... you can do it either! All you have to do is work and work =o) and continue learning from the leasons learned.

    Regards from Mexico
    Rossana
  • SJ Doug
I can't wait for the time when I can think about taking this for granted.
  • mikeyfromvegas
Hi Gang, the more I play back Eric and Dano the more I feel that this is what I want " GO PRO "
    Thank you
  • martinvf
There is no easy money anywhere... and never will be.
We have to work hard. And some people may say "Do you think I want to work that hard on MLM on a daily basis after a 9 to 11 hours shift at my current job???" .... and well, if your current job has the similar or a better potential than a big MLM opportunity, that's fine... be my guest!!! =o) but if it doesn't then It makes more sense to me to work hard (as you currently do at your job) for something with a bigger potential financially, personally, professionally, etc.

    Excelent interview Eric.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.

    Martín V. =o)
  • bghcancun
I have to learn a lot of things, but im in the way =)
  • albertoleal
We learn by experience. That's the way we realize what we are currently doing and what we have to change our life.

  • Mike McCoy
    Eric,
In all of this I continue to hear the word learn or learned how to do this or that. I now understand I have much to learn. This is an excellent way to do just that. Glad I can learn it as I earn.
  • A bit of a rambling in this one, though it is a stage worth noting that's out there
  • ishapkina
there is that "working hard" part that is unavoidable, i have to prepare myself for that.. there is no free money
  • talya_mitzafon
Dan, your honesty is very touching. Not taking it for granted is the big lesson I learned today. I defenatly believe in the industry!
  • roberthirabayashi
Just checking in.... I was literally too busy building my business to do it earlier today.
  • Tim Moseid
I've also believed success is possible sooner today than in the past. The tools, communication via the internet, change of public attitude, all are better today.
  • beatrizperez
Great interview, lot to learn, you learn by your own experience, the correct thing to do in the future.
  • denisekay
The honesty in this interview is remarkable.
Good communication skills are required in this profession. Set the tone and ask questions.
  • gjt
realizing the sacrifice we have to make to matter how long it takes is key factor to us
  • carolmcwilliams
Listening to Dan has helped me reflect upon myself, the actions that I take each day in building my business and what is my mind set around working hard. I realize I have a way to go in working harder and smarter and more efficiently in my day. When Dan said he worked 7 days a week for so many years I realized why he is the Pro that he is. WOW, this gives me food for thought. So the question comes to mind, What can I do differently starting tomorrow that will increase my results? It is certainly to talk to more people and develop more relationships. So as I say good night to you all, I am setting out the intention that I will strive to connect with 1-2 people at least more than I normally would.
  • Steve Johnson
Love it!! The speed of your group is the speed of you. As leaders, we need to set the example for what we want our business to be.
  • Naama Aharoni
This was a great interview! Lesson for today: Hard work, keep it up in a high pace.
The speed of your group is the speed of you.
Looking forward to the next two parts.
  • JenniferDu79
Events are the key to this business if I didn't know it from before I definitely did after the Best Year Webinar you offered. You go into more detail on that there. Hope others who want to know more will tune in to that as well.
  • Each segment is a gem and I am grateful for you two sharing your beginnings in Network Marketing. Seems this business is much like most business, the smarter we work the easier it is to build your business - - the rewards here are much better, however.
  • Robin M
Another great one!! Such simple information. Easy to apply immediately & easy to teach to others!! Can't wait for tomorrow & then to watch the whole thing on Friday!!
  • racingworm
Just keeps getting better and better. Basic perserverance always wins out.
  • mchalk
What I have observed for myself and what I am hearing in this very honest interview is that perseverance and DRIVE will take you to the income level you desire. As with most things in life, hard work is needed to gain the desired results....there are no free rides! I have just recently joined a network marketing company for the first time and the reason I decided to do this challenge was to see if this profession is for me. I find myself questioning if this is truly within my nature. I joined because the company had amazing products that I truly believe can improve people's lives. Is it enough? Time will tell and I think this challenge will help me make that call - thanks Eric!
  • andreabyrge
I'm not sure why we should expect nwm to be any different than other forms of business, or athletics, talents, or skills. If you want to be great and reap the rewards of greatness, you have to do the mundane...practice and repetition. Everyone wants to be a Michael Jordon, but few would ever dedicate all their free time to drilling the fundamentals year after year. Bill Gates only took 6 days off in 10 years...that's repetition. I meet so many people that look at nwm like its magic beans or something. Thanks for constantly pointing out that it's net WORK marketing.
  • KRT1
Dan is interesting ... I too have a personal 9/11 and ready to move forward.
  • maryjod
    Hi Eric,

Another affirming interview with an industry giant, Dan Catto! In so many ways we cannot take our profession for granted, especially that we walk in integrity. Our industry is probably one of the most criticized and misunderstood by 'outsiders' that I know. Thank you for painting such a transparent picture of NWM for all to hear and understand.
  • Zeissy
Simply encouraging show! I love it!!!
  • Hey Eric, interview is going great. Looking forward to Part 4.
  • Alvaro Rodriguez
Hi, I have nothing to say but I have to be here...
  • Jilliangene
What I found is that we have so many tools and they change faster than I can keep up. At one point I was taken back by the volume. Now I am keeping up by being coachable and following (trusting ) my up-line. It is great to hear you can't do it wrong. Great program! Thank you
    Jillian
  • Thank you ! I am grateful to have such a AAA++++ mentor !
  • I'm really really enjoying this interview. Thanks for sharing
  • socorro
Thank you again Eric, learning so much is fun !

There are two messages in this video. One is don’t take it for granted and the other is to pay the price. Possibly they are the same message stated differently.

When I read the posts on this forum I see that most people take it for granted and are unwilling to pay the price for being here. I consider myself new to the business, so maybe I don’t know what you all know. What I’m feeling is like I’m sitting in a classroom with a bunch of students who have shown up for a passing grade and the piece of paper that proves they showed up. I guess showing up is important. You get out of the class what you put into it.

The effort to summarize and contribute a few original thoughts is as important as the video. The reason I decided to participate in this challenge was to develop my self as an online and traditional network marketer. This is a place to practice creating quality content for the blog I am putting together. The discipline of having a daily deadline helps me do something I might not otherwise motivate myself to do.

This is a place where we can learn to make ourselves the conversation. We can start to become attraction marketers by providing something of value to the community. When I review several hundred posts I skip right over the one and two liners because I know that person doesn’t have anything interesting to say and isn’t likely someone I should spend time with.

We know that Mr. Worre is attempting to create a commentary fire; attempting to increase this sites search engine rankings. If it is only about quantity of video and posts then he is succeeding. But it is also about the quality of the content. I figure that if Eric is taking the time to create high-value videos, then I can help establish a more quality-of-word website. Free does not mean free. It never has.

If you do the things you have always done and expect things to change . . . Although seeming not to matter in the act of doing something, the compounded daily effect . . . If you think you can or you think you can’t . . . We all like these little maxims, but we don’t always act like they apply to us.

I am so glad we have you sharing all your knowledge and expertise. Where else could we have someone sharing what they have with thousands of people so they may have all they want and need
  • drkay
Another great 6 minutes. I took notes, rewinding several times. He is so genuine and transparent in his comments. I see what it cost him to get to the top... this is NOT a hobby. Thank you for bringing this honesty and integrity to us. "Not taking it for granted"... busted. That is exactly what I have been doing. Thank you, Eric, for the wake-up call. It's never too late.
  • nikigombis
I am just reiterating that I commented once before, but don't know if it counted since it was on the same day as a few others. Always good to hear it again. Didn't mind one bit.
  • cherisizzles
I love being able to learn from successful people's mistakes. I know I will make my own mistakes, but maybe I can at least learn how to avoid those that I know about before-hand. :)
  • I've been taking this for granted
I guess it's time to try some of the people on my list a third time and try to expand my list
  • HoracioMejia
Unfortunately, not all people are in a position in which Network Marketing is their only option, so they tend to take things for granted. For me, a major challenge is not to take anything for granted and act as if MLM was my only way. Second idea from this show: Big events. MLM is an event based business. Big events create big impacts in new people. I will take a look to the book Dan is mentioning.
  • jennyc
Work, work, work, gotta get going!!!
  • tommycone
Your group will do what you do. So work hard and they will work hard.
  • www.hftri.blogspot.com - This is my blog, it has my response to today's show. I posted earlier with a short comment, but after I got to thinking about the knowledge shared I felt it could be done better justice through a full posting. Thank you again for all that you do.
  • Ron M
Dan Cato and Eric Worre are two leaders in the MLM industry that truly shine! Back to the basics.
  • JON FORTI
WORK HARD & YOUR GROUP WILL DO THE SAME !
  • lynn hall
You have to be persistant and work hard even on holidays as it pays off in the end.
  • julie67
I really liked the point Dan made about what you do as the leader is what your team follows. I was told that your team will do 50% of what you do. Therefore if you are not really growing and moving how can you expect your team to be motivated.
  • Thanks for another great lesson. It's definately the journey that is so rewarding. And good to see that even those successful struggle. But the reward is so worth it, isn't it?
  • Ellis3
That was classic when Dan commented on making $100K a month but spending $110K a month ... as a group we are reading now "The Richest Man in Babylon" and its teaching those timeless wealth acquirement and retention principles.
  • petegiokas
Perfect example of leadership!Nice to see a legend like Dan Catto struggled before he achieved a high level of success. One must fail their way to the top! I also liked what he said about leveraging tools, systems and technologies!
  • SushiEatingMentor
Very insightful... paying the price...deal with the "stuff" along the way. Our circumstances have open doors for each of us. We need to see AND understand the bigger picture with our industry. What you do is a reflection of what your organization will do. Dan was always working on himself. great infomation Eric
  • Belief sure is critical.....listening to you Guys daily increases that belief ! Thank you !
  • Looking forward to parts 4 and 5.
  • karivankleef
Work hard and be consistent- 2 things that I work on daily. Daily I have to keep in perspective that NM is no different than a job when it comes to working hard. I have to learn and do what is required of me. Thank you
  • Not taking the business for granted, I hadn't heard anyone say quite that before. The speed of your group is a reflection of you - good point.
  • I guess you can call it drudgery and many times there are other things I'd prefer to be doing but I want to enjoy the journey so I do my best to make it fun work. Just being your own boss and self motivated makes the drudgery worth the effort with an eye on the end result.
  • beetally
I love "the organization is a reflection of me." And hearing about the management of finances was perfect. Learning how to manage money is vital because I can see where my organization is headed:).
  • Thank you for the wisdom of your many years in the business. It definately helps someone like me who has been in the business for about 90 days and really still have no idea what I am doing. Keep the knowledge coming.
  • gerrynickerson
If your not networking you may not be working.
If your not online you maybe in the bread line.
  • feltricks
Awesome, I've been involved in the industry for three years and it's been an amazing journey. Full of knowledge and a complete change of lifestyle. I'm still on the learning process, and that's one of the topics I really want to improve, learn about money management.
It's been a hole University, I have my degree in Civil Engineering and now I'm getting my degree as a Network Marketing Professional.
    You guys rock!

"For all success there is a price to Pay"

Note: Many of the "great ones" went 'belly up' at some stage of their careers.... yet came back - that's encouraging.
  • crwood1967
Dan has hit the nail on the head! I would add that most of us forget that too many of us have relied on our upline to build our business and forget that it is up to us to create the momentum from us down! Thanks for the great interview once again, and getting us to think straight.
  • What ever you do your group is reflect! You have to work harder, if you want a bigger group.
    Thank you Dan and Eric
  • latachia_2
Duplication, much hard work involved is the key.He did it daily, even on Christmas! And budget your money wizely.
  • tambry
The speed of your group is the speed of you. Good analogy.
  • Wow...I'm impressed! Dan is so honest and transparent. Thanks for all you are giving to us!
  • I love the "I had to look at it" statement. I've had several people say to me just this last week that their "mind's been opened" by the lack of jobs in their education or specialty.

I can relate to it... so I can relate it with others.
  • marycalvillo
Great reminder of the need to teach yourself consistency. Thank you!
  • Jose Lopez
Great lesson. We have sucha great gift in our hands and so often we take if for granted. Thanks Dan!
  • The book, A Touch of Greatness, says in all great things there’s some drudgery.
It helps a lot if somebody really NEEDS to improve his/her life circumstances.
Looking at the work background of NM 6 figure income earners PROVES that sales experience is not necessary for NM success.
The speed of your group depends upon your speed.

everyday for five years! that's consistency.
  • einargh
    This is good!
  • Dylan Cooper
I've definately been moving too slowly and people in my group think it's ok to move slowly too! Hmmm. It's so obvious really! Why would you think somebody you sponsor is going to be a freight train if you are dawdling yourself?

    Thanks for this one.

    Dylan.
  • Alright, already, you got me!!! I'm prepared to take on 2010 and not take it for granted. For sure I'll speed up and get those events started to build momentum in our group. Keeping it simple and using the tools and resources available to us. Thanks Dan and Eric.
  • William M
The more things change, the more they are the same. The message that I am getting is,
If your not consistent, Your none existent. This I must remember. Looking forward to the
next segment, it just keeps getting better. Thanks!

Great, I am fascinated from Dan's energy and good advises.

  • enriquecaz
Hey Eric!, I was wondering if you sometime thought you were too cool for the industry, even if you were fired many time from your jobs as you tell?... It is interesting for me to see that I was in that position as well, and then somebody one day put the information in fornt of me and "voila!", my eyes and my heart opened!!!, many people that I have enrolled, were "skeptical to death" and too cool for NM, but then I had the oportunity to present them my program, and as somehing magical they just changed their minds!!!... NM IS a BETTER WAY!!! that is a fact!...

The problem begins when we start being not consistent and "let the life get in front of you and stop you from doing your daily work"... Dan is teaching NM as the ABC, 123!!!... he is a real person! he had the same strugle as we all have, and now he is a million dollar earner!... Fantastic! we can do too!!!

    Saludos, Enrique.
  • This is good. Hearing what it took from two real pros! Thank you for showing me that it's not as easy as just signing up. Keeps things in perspective. NetWORK Marketing...not NetSITONMYBUTT Marketing. Awesome series!

Great nuggets there, Paying yourself first, living within your budget and getting remotivated by what got you excited about this Industry in the first place. It is always good to look back and never forget were you came from, with no experience in this industry at all. Great Interview Eric and Dan thank you.

I have taken my opportunity for granted the past 3 years.....NO MORE!! I am more determined, focused, and prepared than ever before! These daily lessons have been essential in my preparation for GREATNESS!
Thanks Mr Worre for connecting us with GREATNESS!
  • magnelordahl
Don't take it for granted! I am much more focused on my business today. Want to get rich in this business then you have to work with a proven system. Thanks again for your useful lessons.
  • tylerwhite
Great interview, just a thought it would be interesting if in your questions you asked what a work day for these top producers consisted of. For example how many prospecting calls, 3 ways and so forth they do in a day now as well as when they got started. So many people get caught in the trap of confusing activity with productivity.
  • joelgoins
I identify with Dan when he says, "I had no other place to go" and I now realize there are many people who find themselves in that situation. The exchange with Dan is very encouraging...thanks!!
  • orlyalbo
It is a very good lesson from leaders like you!
  • These keep getting better - thanks for all the great content!
  • jlconner
Dan: Good information here to help keep us grounded. Thanks for your knowledge and insight.
  • Another great video Eric! Keep them coming! Love the information!
  • It's all about the "Slight Edge"... doing the simple disciplines each day although it may seem that it does not matter at the time of doing it but compounded over time will take us to the top!!
  • signing in ;)
  • Thanks Dan for your candor, it is inspiring to all of us.
  • gkamlm
How often we have heard, "The speed of the leader determines the speed of the Pack" and nothing really comes without some good old fashioned hard work. Very good!
  • donpinger
This is the first time I've ever heard anyone in the Networking Profession ever talk about managing your money. Some folks know how to and some folks don't. Some folks get silly when it's a business and throw common sense out of the window.

I'm looking forward to the next video.
  • germanjaramillo
Wooo ... that good comments on part 3 of the interview with Dan. It caught my attention once more see the issue of using the tools as a form of duplication in the business.

Especially also struck me as related to money management. I already went through that path. Once already won a significant amount of money in MLM and to be honest I did not manage well. I went crazy and spent all that I earn So I think fundamental to addressing this learning to de diferents organizations.

A special greeting from Cali, Colombia, ready to appear again tomorrow,

    GERMAN JARAMILLO
  • Becky Desabah
My leaders work at high speed. . . I'll do my best to be at their own pace.
  • anthonyviglietta
Great points once again. I love that fact that he worked hard for 5 YEARS before he got his desired results. No lottery mentality for Dan!
  • aliceclifford
Eric I just love your video's. So much you say realy does hit home. The enterview with Dan is great. Thanks Alice
  • paulsoto
it's sad how many people take for granted this great opportunity... network marketing, anyway it's our job to let them know how much value it's got.
  • I have enjoyed reading the comments and the videos!~
  • caronwashington
5 year game plan. Ive always heard this but hearing Dan say with the tools that are out now and technology that can be sped up is great to hear. Oh and great point about the speed of the leader is the speed of the team
  • not taking it for granted... the speed of your group... essential information, in a different context from a different background ...good stuff!
  • "The speed of your group is the speed of you"... I wish...
"What you do is a reflection of your organization"... I wish...
How can I make those comments ring true for me?
  • gloriavintila
"Too cool for network marketing"... Yeah, I felt like that a few times before. Like: "I wanna do real business, not this playing around with selling stuff to your family and recruiting your friends". Snob. But I thing most of us have been there. It does take some guts to identify oneself with this profession. But self confidence will come once results appear. And who will then think they're too cool for network marketing if they see you making 1 million a month? But you know what you need to do in order to get there: work hard and don't take it for granted!
  • Jorge Longoria
amazing topics today , I can't wait to see it complete and repeat it over and over again!
  • lauralopez
The biggest lesson that I learn today is at the begining you have to work so much because a speed of you is as speed of your group do.
  • Irina
Reading is vital to our personal growth. We will become what we read! Thank you for good info.
  • kgadol
It's all good ... appreciate the value and have shared it with our team.
  • For some reason, the part Dan talks about "managing the funds" stood out for me today. That is important, not spending more than what's coming in. Sounds obvious but some people (including myself) need to learn the lesson... I will manage my funds well!!
  • It's that theme again - for everything worth having there is a price to pay. The bigger and better the prize the longer the journey. Of course on any journey there are potential hazards and threats, ups and downs so the long journey's are going to bring plenty of challenges which is why the WHY is so important when things are going against you. Press yourself against the grindstone of life, pound the rock, put one foot in front of the other...so may metaphors telling us the same thing because it's natural. As the late great Jim Rohn would say - "that's just the way it is!" Winston Churchill would often sign off "KBO" - Keep Buggering On.

I think the point Dan makes about losing it is very important and we need to be build passion and then keep momentum in the business at all times. Of course for me, I have to start first - but the tortoise beat the hare and prior preparation and planning prevents poor performance (but you have to take action to get somewhere).
Great clip, Dan and Eric. Keep 'em coming.
    @Veterus
  • BGivan
I got 2 things from today's interview that I feel to be important. Dan said that in the beginning, he had to look at this industry because he had no where else to go. We have an unbelievable opportunity thanks to the recent economic turmoil. Lots of people will have no where else to go! The second point of value has to be - what you do is what your group does. If you want a bigger group, work harder. Thanks
  • david_high
Understanding that my organization is a reflection of what I do. That is powerful. Lead by example.
  • Very interesting experience..
After part 4 I'm gonna back to the previous shows to see them again
    thanks !
  • aileens
Todays message for me is "work hard " I have been lazy !!
  • What I'm taking from today's message is to remain grateful for our great profession and not take it for granted. There is nothing else like it because of how we are all surrounded by greatness.
  • Hi All,
Really inspiring to hear Dan say "you have to be willing to work". I am told by many that can't fathom the big picture of what you are trying to create. Not seeing an immediate time for dollars they can't understand the time you put in. Thank you for validating time spent on business growth.
  • Robbin
I picked up on these things today:
1.For all success there is a price. 2.Leverage the tools and resources of today and it could speed up the process! 3.Non sales people making 6 figure incomes..I get a lot of that "I'm not a sales person" 4.Work daily at your business.
  • brianhepner
Work Hard and Enjoy the Journey!!!! We Are Helping People See the Better Way!!!!
  • peterburrows
Making mistakes is ok.....PROVIDED..... you learn a lesson and don't make the same one over again.
  • Thank you Eric for reminding me the fundamental things in our industry.
Waiting for part 4 of the interview.
  • dalejv
Thanks Eric and Dan for the reminder that the speed of you sets the speed of your team!
  • Magdalena
    I love Dan Catto's ENERGY!
  • emmettb
I like the reminder about leverage, use the tools and how Dan noted that your business is going to do what you do....good or bad
  • Hello! I am lucky to have such opportunity...to have a free coaching by Dan Catto! He is really GREAT! I thank you, Eric!
  • clairecameron
Two big reminders I take from this one... First, it is easy to forget the consistent effort that successful people (in all walks of life) put in - there are no overnight stars/successes even if it may appear that way from the outside. And second, the energy I put out sets the tone for the team.
  • dawnmarielagmay
Aloha Eric, I believe until we actually have the right mind set, it is very easy to take this profession for granted. Dan, thank you for the reminder! :)
  • timandtricia
Great lessons. We have a gift to offer and never should take it for granted. With the new tools and technology which allow us to get our message out so effectively we all can see fast growth as long as we are leading by example and grateful for what we have.
  • TAbrams
I believe money management is a very important element of our business and any business for that matter. It is all relevant. If you make $50K a year and spend $75K or you make $100K per month and spend $125K per month you will still be broke and have money problems. I think many individuals once they get rolling and have moderate to good success take what this business can provide you with for granted. If everyone would look at the longer term, and place emphasis on what they can build and have in 3, 5, 7, 10 years and plan accordingly through properly budgeting, paying yourself first, proper $$ allocation and monitoring expenses there would be a lot more individuals in a stronger financial position. Don't ever take for granted what you have (small or large), be grateful and appreciative of everything and everyone around you.
  • timandtricia
Great lessons. We have a great gift to offer and should never take it for granted. With the new tools we have the opportunity to grow quickly as long as we all lead by example.
  • pech
Thank you Eric and Dan, thanks because you reminded me, that one of the fundamental things in our industry is ”Lead by example”.
  • Bernadette
"For success there is drudgery". i won't call it drudgery because the more action you take , the more exciting it becomes, but you definately have to step out of the box and your comfort zone.
  • #214. Leader are Readers. . everyone says this- it gotta have some reason behind it.
My wife is always asking why i need another book cd. . thankyou for letting me know its normal/ok, its just remembering to take action after the reading , and not becoming a constant student of learning.
    Practice makes . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . .Progress (Stephan Longworth first gave me this quote-thankyou.)
  • Doing what you need to do, using the tools and not taking it for granted are the lessons that I know are the most important to take.

And yes, it's true: we on the western side of the world, have been very spoiled...

What I feel very difficult to understand is that the speed of your group is linked to your speed... I know it happens, what I don't know is WHY it happens... it seems that you always have to carry people on your back...

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues
  • The Internet is content driven. The next big Internet content push is social media. Setting yourself apart by branding yourself. That is evident already with the all the major players branding themselves. If you do a search on Dan Catto you get his personal branded image. That is a big lesson learned just from this site in what you are doing. This 100 show challenge is a good wake up call for all to participate and start thinking about our own personal branding. Good Stuff!
  • Connor J McDonald
All too often in our profession we talk and talk about the wonders of making a large income and once they reach that level many people go on a major shopping spree that puts them right back to where they were when they first entered the profession. It is my opinion that along with the personal, leadership and business development that we teach in this profession, we must also teach financial literacy and how to properly manage money. For all the team leaders - something to think about implementing in your organizations.
  • A very important lesson is good money management. Every distributor should be taught or encouraged to learn that along with business skills.
  • rmonte
this made me think of what you said before, "enjoy the journey". Its not just about the money, it is about who we become and everything we learn so that we can then pass it on. Thanks Eric.
    Rick M
  • What you do as an individual will be a reflection on your team.
  • dougharkins
A good point is made of the pre-concieved mindset of what others think our industry does, and also of the new tools to take advantage of leveraging.
  • BetterCoffee.dk

Hmmmm seems like there's no substitute for doing the work. :)

    But the rewards!
Spurred on by my upline I'm on a rush to the stars starting today.
Thanks for keeping my spirits up when needed!

Awesome vid Mr. Worre. Dan is great. How many of these guys do you know? Wow. My question...Do you feel that there is a better opportunity with a company that is in multiple countries as opposed to being in US & Canada? I ask b/c Dan says that good success in a company can be achieved now within 2-3 years now.
I thought the 5 years seemed amazing, but now...2-3 years getting $100k a month.

I guess anything is possible, if you only believe.
    Your thoughts?
  • dstfa96
This episode touches on a great point, work and effort is necessary to achieve success! This is not just for our profession of network marketing but for everything in life. Too many people want something for doing nothing! To achieve success you have to work for it!
  • Thank you for another GREAT session. I just bought The New Professionals and can't wait to sink my teeth into it. See you tomorrow!
  • susanclark
#213 was really enlightening.. As Dan said the lesson he learned in his first three years of business - not to take the business for granted. There is a price to pay. Great call.
  • It is very true that our teams will do what we do. Lead by example and your team will follow. We are very fortunate to have all of the modern tools and technology that you and Dan did not have 20 years ago. Thanks again for sharing Eric...
  • Once again, the importance of getting around the successful people by going to the big events. Dan is very inspiring of much he went thru!
  • liora
Good point we are the spirit of our organization, we need to remember that, they do wherever we do
  • You make A great point Eric, the support IS THERE if you need it, just a matter of looking for . (Help for those that help themselves.) I am very surprised every time I get that response "Sounds Like a Pyramid Or Get rich quick scheme" I would have thought that America would be wiser by now. However little by little folks are beginning to understand and as long as we keep passing on those great principles & ethics, we'll get there, Right?
  • AdvocareJax
I love the comparison of work ethic. I have observed it in myself. It is easy to get comfortable when your begin getting momentum, but that is the most important time to increase productivity.
  • mariasiro
The speed of your group is the speed of you. So go FULL SPEED!
  • cmattern
Dan says he worked hard for 5 years.... When people say to me "Is this a get rich scheme?" I simply say, "You know? I am 59 years old, and I have been working since I was 16. That's 44 years, and I am not rich yet. If it takes me 5 years to be successful doing this....? Well, comparatively, that IS get rich quick. It all depends on how you look at it! Thanks for all the good info!
  • I hope to get on the plus side during these 100 episodes:) Effective promo stuff is usually not free
  • lisamb84
Thank you for encouraging me to build my belief in this great industry every day! We really do have a better way to share with the world!
  • Stephen
It never fails to amaze me, and I'll never get enough of hearing from the professionals Eric brings to the chat. It is uncanny how similar the message is among these professional like Dan Catto.
  • Athletes4Health
Working hard for 5 years is definitely better than working hard for 35 years. One challenge I see for myself is "reprogramming" my warm market to accept this fact and embrace network marketing. Keeping it simple and duplicatable is crucial.

No matter how important all the information in your interview; after these 3 episodes I already realise what I've been lacking lately: Hearing this message(s) continuely and consistently over and over again! Good to understand that everyone goes through his or hers own rollercoaster (or 9-11).
  • WOW. you two are right, we have alot more tools and knowledgeable mentor then what you had 20 years ago. And im very thankful for that.
  • Vonnita2010
DAN CATTO IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF DETERMINATION!! HE GOT TO THE TOP MESSING UP LIKE HE SAID WHICH SHOWS US THAT WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND EVEN IF WE MESS UP WE CAN STILL REACH OUR GOALS IF WE WANT TO!!! EVEN IF AT THE BEGINNING WE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!! NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW HOW LONG YOU WILL HAVE IT!! THANK U FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE. ERIC U SAID ONE OF YR FIVE PEOPLE WAS JIM ROHN.... U ARE BECOMING ONE OF MINE.
  • Edith Kohler
    thanks for today's info
    I'll be back tomorrow
  • Eric,

You bring so much value to the table from experience to the people that you know. Leading by example is one of the most important fundamentals that we have to dominate daily. I try to keep that in mind everyday. "What would my business look like if my organization did what I did today?"

    Thanks again.
  • Shovers
    Good information.
  • Tarashon Broomes
the speed of your group is the speed of you, what you do is the reflection of what your organization will do...so true....I have to do the things i want my organization to do...if i want my team to work the business everyday, i have to do that too....people are moved by actions and not what you say
  • quincy
I can appreciate what Dan says about not taking this business for granted. Its so easy to do so when we can make lots of money very quickly doing simple little things. Taking it for granted can humble us just as quickly.
  • I'm loving this interview. That IS a great lesson.... not to take ANYTHING for granted!
Wow, I think I really needed to hear that today. In other words, take action NOW with everything you've got, because you never know how long it will be there.
    Thanks again Eric.
  • AWESOMENESS! Thanks for the book - I am always looking for personal growth assistance. I feel this is the best vehicle to provide me growth personally, and financially. More millionaires will be created than ever before through MLM network marketing business opportunities.
  • Again..what a simple lesson...keep it simple! I am reviewing our own team system and have come up with a number of tweeks that can be made pronto...so this is a GREAT thing! Almost humorous but always astonished at how some of us(many of us?) can complicate our business and slow us down!
  • lbusby4
Hard Work and not taking for granted the opportunity before me is what will help make me successful in this business. It is a new mindset for me in many areas, but if I work through the challenges and get out of my comfort zone, success will follow. Thank you for the advice. Looking forward to part 4.
  • chipc
speaking in generalities helps somewhat. but what would be more helpful to me is more specifics, like how did you promote? how did you prospect?
  • Rosa7
I'm thankfull that you share this with us .
  • More affirmation that the events work and the importance of them. Our personal goal is to go to as many of our company events as possible along with hosting our own. The end of the video brings me to The Richest Man in Babylon. I'm very excited to see the next episode!
  • fc34615
My favorite part of the this particular portion of the interview is when Dan talks about the importance of leveraging the tools available to us. My company certainly provides us with excellent ways to communicate our message to as many people as we possibly want using a phenomenal combination of avenues.
    My best,
    Fernando Cadena.
  • What a great lesson to learn and hear about. Not taking your business for granted.
I find that there are some people who join in this great industry of Network Marketing that are expecting it to be a lottery ticket of some kind to becoming a millionaire. They sit back and just hope that the pay check will come in. It is through great hard work and leadership that we succeed in anything.
Thanks for this Dan and Eric.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • Frank Diaz
Pay the price, follow the fundamentals, don't take it for granted---- Really don't have other place to go.
  • luciabrazell
in the end if something don't work for us is because we don't work at it and it has been a BIG challenge for me but I have been getting better TO GET WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE YOU HAVE TO WORK and people will notice
  • As always, thank you for all of the words of wisdom and helping us to learn from your past. And for also making it very clear that this is a BUSINESS and you must WORK to be successful. The beauty is that you get rewarded for the work that you do and your organization will work at the pace that you yourself set.

As is often said "Lead by example. People will do what you do, not what you say."
  • Bottom line--we uaually all end up having to pay our dues along the way. Also, I agree with Dan that we should always remember our gratitude boards and never take life for granted.
  • amberaimshigh
I love this! Dont take this industry for granted.... Its hard work but the payoff is great. Keep growing as your business grow! Love it!
  • danny7x
This was really great stuff! Thanks Eric and Dan!
  • breynolds
I love that you address that this is a WORK program, and you must actually WORK to get results. However, with people like you and Eric and Randy, we have so much support. Thank you for your daily words of encouragement and motivation to get back out there!
  • Well...Willingness to pay the price and put in the effort, must be the definition of going PRO, anf yes like Lori mentioned in a comment...Dan what made you change your mind about NWM ?
  • Layla
Dan said that the pace is your pace group.

If your own pace at the beginning has been really fast, perhaps too fast with other people. Now the pace has slowed down, but I believe that this is designed to learn more and also take into account the pace of others.
  • Jeroen Lingier
What did I learn out of todays show?
    1. You don't get anything for free. Starting from bankrupcy ,he now shares that he worked his but off for 5 years. His team acts like his reflection.(the speed of your group, is the speed of you) While as the public only sees the succes.
1bis: He first thought mlm wasn't legal:-) and he was to cool for the industry, butevents got him convinced. People who weren't in sales (truckdrivers,...), made more way money than him!
    2. You need a sense of urgency.
    3. Something to read: A touch of greatness.
    Warm regards,
    Jeroen from Belgium
  • jpmendoza
A simple concept but not easy to do, this take work, work, work.
  • destrie
We have to be willing to put in the work to find success since what we do is going to be a reflection of our organization. Thank you Eric and Dan!
  • Joe Garcia
Very well done guys, Dan after all these years of working together and traveling the globe your message never changes. Incredible valuable wisdom!
  • ericworre
    Hey Joe! :)
  • Nancy
More great info. Willingness to pay the price - put in the effort - important message here. It is not magic. Few people are willing to sacrifice and expect immediate gratification. Looking forward to #4
  • I meet this Vestern Europe people everyday, and yes, it's so true that people are spoiled.
Even if they see the news everyday about all the problems (and complaining), they just wait
(as Randy Gage says) for time to change. Safe IS the new risky, but most people don't want to see it.
  • lorijones
Dan I really enjoyed your story about your opinions on the industry and why at the beginning you didn't want to join a NWM company. I know a couple people right now who are thinking exactly the same way that would be dynamic. What was it that moved you to change your thinking, what was it they said to you or showed you that got you to take a closer look. Thanks Lori
  • agelfederico
My story is a bit similar, I did not believed in the NM/MLM industry and thought it didnt work when I got in, but after a month of reading a couple of books, and doing a bit of what I had to do, I understood that it does work, it depends on the distributors mind set. Is not easy as I tough it would be, but I will make it to the TOP anyhow.

Thanks for NMP, it helps me a lot
  • It amazes me how many entrepreneurs, business owners and network marketers earn good money and then lose it all. Then they gain it back. And yet, many people who haven't earned good money say they'd never get involved with someone whose had a past failure. If someone hasn't "failed", I'd be more worried it's coming.
  • greatskin
Good lesson on the speed of leadership! Watch out 2010! Thanks Dan and Eric!
  • Hi Eric, I did notice the changes and I was a little bit upset, at first, because I was used to the linear methodology of 1,2,3. Now I think that sorting the videos by subject is great because it makes it easier to find what you are looking for. I am having fun and I hope I get to the money before the drudgery gets to me. ;-)]
  • I agree with the statement "the speed of your group is the speed of you". I would prefer to work hard for 5 years as to working hard for Corp. America for 35+ years !
  • "what you do is going to be a reflection of what your organization does" <---- Just went up on my whiteboard!!

Another "great message " - Thanks Dan and Eric
  • JudasPierce
its not how much money to make, but how much you keep...always remember to pay yourself first.
  • duhamel
It goes to show how important a strong upline is... Wher would you and Dan be if Doug had not given you the help and support you needed...
  • ericworre
I didn't have the support from my upline to be successful. It made me go find it. It's always there for the people who want it bad enough.
  • Robbin
I don't feel like I am getting support from my upline but I'm not sure what kind of support I should be getting? I'm new to the industry. What is the support I'm looking for? I will ask my local upline for it specifically and if it can't be given then I will look for it further up, they're just not local.
  • mrmauriocrawford
So true! It's always there if you want it bad enough. We cant blame our upline for our success or failure. "Say goodbye to your upline!" -Eric Worre
  • marvalouslife1
Hi Eric. This Dan Catto is realy great. the No. 3 part is as good as the first 2. i'm waiting for the 4th one.
    thank you for everything.
    Ron Ackerman - Israel
  • rayrios
Definitely we are ready to do the work, We don't take it for granted, and We are willing to outwork our organization!!! The speed of the leader is always the speed of the TEAM, Got It. Until when? The knowledge is great; the real question is "Whats The Application"? Thanks for the refreshing accountability, Eric.

How do I take it from $100k+ to $250k+ in 2010.

    Ray & Linda
  • Matt Genet
Importance of Gratitude. "I didn't take it for granted." Love that thought.

Dan is a case study for what Jim Rohn says that even if you make a lot of money you will soon part with it unless you quickly grow to become the kind of person that has a lot of money.

I also like what he said about building his belief in the business by going to his company's event. I am getting ready to head to Texas for my first corporate event. It is not a big one but I am still very excited to meet the people who are really committed to the business.

  • barryburgin77
It used to take 3-5 years..... The internet has changed the playing field. The world is literally at our fingertips and when we think about emerging markets, going global is not far fetched at all. The opportunity is endless.
  • ericworre
I still believe in my 1-3-5-7 year theory, even with the breakthroughs in technology. Even with technology, it takes that long to transform YOU!
  • enriquecaz
Hello Eric!, what is your 1-3-5-7 year theory? I am soo courious!!!... please tell
  • ericworre
    1 year to become profitable
3 years to be able to go full-time
5 years to have a high income
    7 years to become world-class
  • raybeattie
Dan shoots down the MLM-Lottery idea pretty well. Imagine that you have to work to be successful.

    More great imput, Thanks Eric
  • It is true that many of the emergin markets appear to be far hungrier for success than many of the more affluent countries even in these recessional times.

I have a question: What do you thin are the advantages of OLD Style MLM v NEW Style? Have you found any draw back in the hew style?
  • ericworre
People today think they can build a lasting business without developing real relationships with people. I haven't witnessed that to be true.
  • jean_albert
Drugery - at a job we put up with it - in Network Marketing it's a "bad" "misunderstood" attitude about basic fundementals that lead to duplication & success
  • Loved the comments about the "speed of your group is a reflection of you" - Someone once told me when I said I couldn't get any duplication and they said "You are duplicating yourself". Really made me realize Dan's thoughts are so true.
  • Arnold Thompson
Work Hard, Work Hard, Work Hard!!! This is a theme in every interview, I'm starting to get it. :-)
  • gmolina
    Eric,
The comment by Dan "The speedy your group is a speedy you" made perfect sense to me and it made me realize that I can control how fast or slow I want to grow. Good food for thought! Thanks.....
  • turjcxg
Eric, this show has so much meat in it!

The theme of success coupled with drudgery is coming up again (and again in the previous show and in the Fifty Cent book you recommended). I used to think there was something wrong with me because I kept getting so bored repeating the few income producing activities but after watching your shows and reading Fifty Cent's perspective on being a hustler and being bored, I can see that there's nothing wrong with me, i just need to develop those emotional and mental skills that I can call on during those boring times when repetition is so crucial to moving ahead.

Also, along the lines of emerging markets.... Any ideas on HOW we can build our teams in emerging markets? This is really important question for me because I just switched network marketing companies. My previous company did not allow us to recruit in other countries unless we were of a certain rank. Well, my team was located in the Gulf area and was hurt quite a bit with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and then again with Hurricane Ike. That's when I called it quits with that company and found my new company. My new company (you're very familiar with it...) let's us recruit in 52 markets from the day we sign up without having to be any specific rank. I desperately want to diversify my team across time zones so that I don't lose everything I built (again)!

if you can do a show on ideas on how we can build internationally or is this just a function of having a large enough domestic team that they start building internationally through their own connections?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK ON NMPRO!
  • jeffhaslam
Eric, i'm not quite sure of what Dan means by taking it for granted. I just need to give it more thought
  • wconsult
DON'T take your business or this industry for granted. Find people that are willing to work and lead by example. Your group/team will follow your lead, what you do is a reflection of what your team will do.
  • Marion
More great stuff - Your group is a reflection of you - ouch!
  • pollyhulseman
Amazing story of someone who didn't think the business was legit and here he is now able to teach us through you.
  • Kjell Englund
Another great piece to put in my personal puzzle. Not taking it for granted :-)
    Thanks :-)
  • Luis Gringras
I great frase "The speed of your gruop is the speed of you"
  • The speed of the team is the speed of the leader, I like it and do believe it, so i think ' if you walk, your team will stand still, only if you run your team will walk, if you want your team to run, you have to fly', isn't it? Thank you Dan and Eric for this wonderful lessons, waiting for the next one, i love you........
  • highimpact0406
As usual, a great informational piece today. For all of us "learning sponges" out there, this is amazing! I am taking notes that I will carry with me now as I build my business and forever, and also love when you give us book ideas! Love to read. Thanks again Eric!
  • I agree about the emerging markets. People in many of those countries lived under communism for many years and know what it's like to live without. They are 'hungry' and willing to do whatever it takes.

Capitalism is like a breath of fresh air for them.

  • Episode 3 of Mr Worre's AMAZING 100 Episode Challenge Throw Down:

The Speed of the Group is the Speed of the Leader(YOU)... That's the best... Very Rohniesc. (sp) and very true.. It will always be that way too.

Thank you for the interview Dan and to you Eric for bringing him onto NM PRO... I'm also amazed, again, at the # of NSA people who are being interviewed. Those water filters were something. Brings a new meaning that there's something in the water. Gives me a extra dose of hope to me as NSA was my first introduction to network marketing.
  • ericworre
Soooo many rock stars came from that era.
  • smreed
Right on Dan. If your organization isn't duplicating/growing, one thought, you must look within and see if what you are doing is not jiving with what you are saying. The two (say & do) must be the same not different otherwise your people will be confused and they cannot move forward/duplicate/grow.
  • kayanita
Ok got it, one of the most encouraging things Dan said, it used to be 3-5 yrs. and now with the tools & resouces we have, it can happen so much faster!
  • ericworre
But that's what makes it fun! The Journey!
  • ericworre
Still takes time to develop YOU
  • bartonmurray
Simplicity....fundamentals...drudgery...sometimes success is toil and boring, but there is lots of fun in between! great thanks!
  • shif54
I am enjoying your daily motivation. Looking forward to the rest of the interview. It's terrific. Thanks.
  • It's interesting to me what it took for Dan to even look at network marketing. You hear so many 'success' stories from people whose backs are against the wall, and the typical options (jobs are hard to find) are not there. And how important it is to immerse anyone new to network marketing into the culture and around successful network marketers in order for them to solidify their belief in our industry. Thanks!
  • eddyoshaughnessy
The speed of the group is the speed of the leader , and use the events , excellent .
  • shif54
    Thanks for the great show.
  • jlt0wn
so simple . . . do the fundamentals! Why is it that we forget? good reminder & practice. Thanks!
  • fredlund
It's interesting to hear the dialogue between the two of you. For those of us who are not industry veterans, realizing the vision is possible by using specific techniques and principles keeps me motivated each and every day.
  • samdieli
Hello Eric & Dan, Thanks again for a very informative and inspiring session. These thoughts about not taking it for granted, working for 7 years, not having sales experience and the list just go on and on. These are all keys to the success of one own business. I liken what Dan said about working 7 years, to a coconut tree for those of you living in the tropical climate. I love coconut and if you can endure for 3-5 years after planting your coconut trees, you can enjoy the fruits for many many years to come, until the hurricane or typhoon blow it away. Our business is no difference. Delay gratification is what I would call it. Until next session, thank you!
  • Bryan_in_KC
The tools are there to grow quicker, but unless you understand how to use those tools EFFICIENTLY with VISION and PURPOSE (rather than throwing a lot of stuff out there and seeing what works) based on the FUNDAMENTALS when utilizing them they will, in the end, slow you down and delay your goals.
  • Marie
Thank you for all the tips. Have to check out that book.
  • CINDYSU
Thanks for a great pep talk today!
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
So important to hear all these little pieces of the puzzle from a someone who has done it.
Dan's candor and openess make you feel that average humans can do it too! ha ha
Mindset and seriousness at it seem to be the seed of success.
  • CINDYSU
The speed of the group is the speed of me. That hit me right between the eyes!!!!! I've got to crank it up about a thousand notches!!! Thanks for the pep talk today!
  • CINDYSU
The speed of the group is the speed of me. That one hit me right between the eyes!!!!! I've got to crank it up about a thousand notches!!! Thanks for the pep talk today!
  • BobandPam
Work it, work it, work it. Definitely do not take it for granted. (including the $ you make) Pay yourself first. Big lesson. We also love the book recommendations. We have a journal set aside just for daily notes on this challenge and on the back page we have a list for the book titles. Thank you both for your time and awesome knowledge.
  • haven't heard of that book...I'll have to check it out! keep em' coming!
  • Thank you Dan for the great tips.
We have to learn how to introduce our prospects to business. Well organized events help them see the big picture.
People are attracted by big bucks, but you have to tell them the truth: it's gonna be a lot of work and effors, education and speed before getting results.
  • Denise Cox
one of my favorite things about these interviews are when books are mentioned. it's like having a look in someone's personal library. if you guys are reading it, i'm going to read it too!
  • geraldmorris
Leverage the tools and resources we have today compared to 20 years ago?
Can anyone expand on this one?
Thanks all and create a super day!
  • Daniel W. Cook III
Very encouraging to hear Dan say that with the right tools and system in place success can be achieved at a faster rate today than ever before. Although I have a team that I'm grateful for at this point I feel like 2010 is day one ground zero. I believe with everything in the right place following your 2010 game plan this is going to be an awesome year.
  • kristibateman
    Hi Eric Thank you..
  • gmeyerson
Events do drive the business and once I met some of the top leaders in my company I definitely wanted to be a prt of the team
  • Dan makes a great point...this country of ours was built by immigrants who knew they had to dig in and work and they did whatever they had to do to make it happen...it was life or death for them. We are now seeing the effects of several decades of complacency...that burning desire and resolve to go to work has been replaced with an entitlement attitude that is killing this country. The only way to be successful at anything is to keep on doing it until you get the results that you want. There is only one guarantee in this life ... you will not leave planet earth alive ....the rest is based on what you make of it for yourself. Bravo gentlemen...can't wait for the next segment !!
  • kayanita
    Eric,

There is no sound on the video this morning........exciting interviews, so am disppointed not to hear it today.
  • ericworre
This is the first I heard of this. Can you check again?
  • CINDYSU
Are you muted? I got the sound just fine. Try again.
  • kellylanley
Big events = critical. So true! When you meet people 'just like you', that are living a fantastic life, making great money, then it becomes something you believe you can do also! Which comes right back to 'associations' and how you become the average of the 5 people you are around the most.
    Thanks, guys - awesome stuff!
  • onemartymac
    Awesome stuff... As usual.

The Speed of your Group is the speed of you- So True
We need a gratitude for a great opportunity, work hard and treat it with a sense of urgency.

    Thanks for all you do

The fact is, If We can´t take life for granted, then, we can´t take anything for granted, including MLM. Every single day is growing in me a certainty that our future in MLM will be more than amazing; we don´t have to be super talented like Michael Jordan o Mr. Gates, just follow the basics by heart, never give up, and in 3 or 5 years, maybe less maybe more, we will do it.

I don´t know you, but this is the most exciting time of my life, knowing all this stuff, having the clear image of what my future will look like, and having fun in this fantastic travel to succes, I am sure, that when I become a millionaire, I will be like a child remembering all this fantastic days, maybe more than those when everything will be look under control.

Have the greatest day of your life.

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana
  • ericworre
    LOVE this!

Eric: When Mr Catto says fear of loss does he means scarcity? I don't think I want to built a business out of fear or survival.
  • Pete
He's right, most of the big $ earner have no sales background.
  • drpricedc
Man is this so true, hunger and the desire to work and consider the work as an investment in the future. You definately have to get out of the employee mentality of trading time for money. It is all about building future assets, even when the money starts coming in, you have to think in terms of future assets and networth with your daily activities, is what I am doing today building a better tomorrow, this is how the todays will consistently improve. I needed to hear this message today.....thanks for the reminder of what is important. I appreciate you.
  • Great point. So many people see the big bucks the top producers are making and get frustrated early on because they are not making the big bucks. It takes time!

"The speed of your group is the speed of you." I like that!

I had no where to go in June of 2007 when the mortgage company I worked for closed their doors which lead me to MLM. Now making a 6 figure income.
  • Lisette
    Hi!
Since i saw this show I have tried to get my hands on the book
"A touch of greatness" here in Sweden, but I can´t find it on any
    swedish bookshop on internet.
    So, can anyone help me?
It would be nice if I could get it from Scandinavia.
    Thanks!!
  • quintaser
    Hi Lisset.

I don´t know, but maybe in Amazon.com they can help you. Or make a speciall request in a bookstore in your city. Just some ideas.

    Have a great day

    Hi Sergio!
    Thanks for your tip.

  • Terry Gracy
Many people will give us so easily because they have something to fall back on. You must be committed to staying in the game long enough to make your business work.
  • Hai
That's so true... we all do take our life opportunities and blessings for granted. I am SO grateful to grew up as an orphan in a war torn country to be here today as a divine gift of "a touch of grace" in my life that will always humble me and to keep me grounded to be GRATEFUL for everything! I am grateful today for you & Dan's willingness to share and to teach your wisdom so that we all may become a better person on this earth as we work and live out our potential.
  • Vern Trabue
Dan made several great points in today's message! The biggest one for me is this. Work your tail off! If you want the success that is inherent within this industry, you have to work at it, and go get it.

    Much success!
  • bdsfortune
Its so true that if you put blinders on and work you will get results even if your not a great salesman.I also think of what would happen to everyones down line if everyone would work just 10 hrs a wk. thanks Eric & Dan
  • dlinkhart
I think the hunger factor is a big thing, as long as you don't start to panic about it. It also helps to have a local group where you can take prospects.
  • jobnow
How true it is that our group will grow at the rate we are working. This industry is pretty simple to follow but it requires work.
  • theuns
    Hi Eric Thanks again

I agree 110% what you put in is what you will get out , and with the tools we sit with today
it is easy to do and teach your team to do , As the saying go Teachers teaching teachers so
we just need to teach your new people what to do that work for your Teachers , and never
    stop till you get there.

    Regards
    Theuns
  • Hans
"I had to look at the industry because I had nowhere else to go"....maybe thats's what we need to make sure people do in a serious way and not write it off because of gut feelings or other people's opinions...not easy, but once they commit to take a more objective look at things, it becomes a lot harder to not see the bigger picture and end up "saying no"....
  • bartar20
Leverage, what an important word, remember to use the resources at hand, know that you are not alone, great interview. I like also Dan's saying the speed of your organization is the speed of you, set the standard and your group will follow,
    Thanks Dan
    Thanks Eric
    Barry
  • 3 great interviews, great tips in all three. keep them coming eric.
  • Magdalena
Great episode. Urgency...work hard now to live the way you want the rest of your life...changing your life forever. All when we refuse to take it for granted!
  • After the first adventure and connecting to the close friends list, I find myself in the path of becoming a NetworkMarketingPro: expand the list, really learn how to invite and create relationships. Take the money issue away.

It's great to hear these interviews and all of you guys that have been through the fire. It is amazing how the mind slips into the box again and freezes the movement. There is a price to pay, for a consistent period of time.

Thanks guys. You are really inspiring.

Sense of urgency. We've been a little spoiled for a while. For all the success there's drudgery. There is a price to pay.

Biggest lesson in the first 3 years: Not taking it for granted - I worked flat. I had all the preconceived ideas for the industry... ITC for MLM.

People not from a sales background making a 6 figure income. The speed of your group is the speed of you.

Living on a budget. Read the right stuff.

We have the hunger, we are taking action and we are working hard within our organization.
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
Thks for this interview with Dan. It is simple but sometimes we complicate things a lttle bit. The idea is not taking anything for granted but be willing to do your job and take action
  • Gakungu
In this business, anybody can do it. Creed, religion, profession, geographic location do not affect anybody doing a network marketing profession. What matters is believing in yourself that you can do it.
  • What I do will be a reflection of what my organization will do....I love that! What we have with this business is a gift and it is up to each of us to make the most of that gift to be able to realize its full worth.
  • Dave S
The message is clear.....hunger, deligence, and continuous learning will result in success. Thanks for the book recommendation.
  • carybennett
Yes we all have some of those lessons, I know i have mine from business over the years, We do take it for granted, Look forward to this whole interview. Thanks
  • Lorraine
Nothing is for free. Have to put forth the effort to acheive your goals and pay the price for that success.
  • Ngoc Tran
Thanks Dan for your enthusiasm and letting us know your lesson of success: working excitingly like we will disappear on earth tomorrow!
  • ritafulton
Amazing nuggets Dan is throwing our way! Creating urgency and just plain doing the work has helped me this morning already. I love the fact that "we do have a better way".

    See you tomorrow.
  • Urgency and just plan doing the work. What I love about Network Marketing is that it is about due diligence and helping others. It is about consistency and above all else it's working with and being taught by unselfish entrepreneurs. Why are multi-millionaires willing to teach their competition for FREE? Because there's enough for all of us!
    This is the better way!
    Thanks Eric....Thanks Dan

Leverage from the tools that you have today. What you do will be the reflection of your organization. These are some key points made in this video. You need to show your people that you have the burning desire to succeed. Great interview...learning a lot of good points!
  • chriskemp817
Not taking it for granted! How many of us fall into that trap? I know I'm guilty. Thank you Eric for challenging us to watch these interviews everyday. I am already starting to notice a difference in the way I think and feel. We are blessed to be able to get this incredible information delivered to us everyday.
  • lisabooth
The best part is that if I work hard now and pay the price, the future is even more than I have ever imagined. So true that we have so much more now than 18 years ago when I started in this business. There are more tools and resources that we didn't have that help us work much more efficiently to get more done in a shorter period of time! Thanks for these daily nuggets. Can't wait for the rest of the interview!
  • bryantkeefe
Wow! This interview just gets better and better each episode. I can't wait for Thursday to come. You are really setting a high bar for 2010 and I love it.

    Cheers,

    Bryant
  • This is my favorite session so far. I have a tendency to talk and talk or worse engage in long winded conversations and call it relationship building. Something happens when I put myself on the clock. A sense of urgency appears in my actions and demeanor. If I can make one hundred mistakes today I learn ten times more than those days I only make ten.

I have a new word; Drudgery. I have called it suffering and for most people it is but identifying it so tends to annoy more than enlighten. Calling it drudgery takes some kind of sting out of it. Learning how to make drudgery fun and speeding up the process adds more of the sense of urgency.

Adding a list of what to be grateful for today, not taking it for granted, and creating it fresh everyday instead of a worn out list of items that become drudgery to get through before you go back to work...

    Thank you Eric and Dan.
  • bethascoli
This is a huge lesson about not taking it for granted. In the past I have been a little spoiled about having this amazing opportunity, thinking that it was hard and I didn't know if I could do it. When you start to see network marketing as the blessing that it truly is, it becomes much easier to get over your fear of talking to people, because it seems selfish not to share it with them.
  • rebeccaharms
Thanks again, Eric and Dan. I see today's words of caution and encouragement as necessary for smart balance in working the business.
  • great quote "what ever you do your group will do"

you don't have to do this for 35 years... love it!

great lesson in not taking it for granted
  • kgoren
Ah-ha moment!! The discovery of network marketing as a profession, when we are pushed against the wall in our own personal crashes. And discovering that hard work pays off in 3-5 years, as opposed to hard work in corporate America for 30 or more years, which may not get you anywhere.
  • carolbarrett
Great show, great tips, great guys. Thanks!!!
  • PaulineP
Interseting comment Dan made and I have thought of that a few times in this past year. re: what you do is the reflection of your organization.... My growth is slow both in organization and in the duplicaion taking place...not happening....and for it to change so must I.
  • garyparmenter
It was noteworthy! Dan's transition for believing in network marketing. Came from the events, where he met people without much business or sales experience in their background. Those people were making significant incomes. Events!
  • jbledsoejr
Good stuff Eric/Dan...thx! There are no shortcuts...we have to pay the price...the price of hard work. Everything cost...I believe the cost of NOT reaching my goals is a much more hefty cost than the cost of reaching my goals. Let's get to work!
  • I have a sign in my office that reads: "The Pain of discipline is never as great as the pain of regret!!!". Sounds like your quote Mr. Bledsoe. :)
  • jbledsoejr
Unfortunately I can't take credit...wisdom makes its way around to those who look for it.
  • Priceless nuggets of info.
  • Avromy
I am really enjoying this interview and cant wait to watch the unedited version!
  • Jillian
Thanks again for the enlightenment and realities of what comes before the glitz and glamor. The realization that in everything that we do, there is the element of preparation and drudgery to get to that goal. No-one does it without a lot of hard work - every interview helps to dispel the lottery mentality.
  • billrogers
Great points! Don't take this business for granted. Hardwork and repetition pays great dividends.
  • Brynka
The speed of you is the speed of your organization! Very true and very important to keep in mind. I'm really liking this interview, good to hear about a guy how made mistakes, learnt from them and kept on going. That inspires me :)
  • NexusResources
A great topic today, like Dan said one should not take the business for granted, likewise we should not take ourshelves for granted either ! We are doing the best that we can do with the knowledge and knowhow we have at this very moment. And all our past "mistakes" and "challenges" have brought us to this point. Best not to take anything for granted and be kind to yourself as you grow your network marketing business. You'll get there - there is a better way .....
  • andreas
    Good tips!
  • Margaret
Awesome life lessons. Will take everything in at a new light in regards to not taking things for granted. thanks
  • daddykekere
Eric, when Dan was speaking of the use of fear of loss and urgency. Does this apply to one's self as well as the prospect or just the prospect alone?
  • Lotta
Not taking it for granted. Thats is something to remember.
  • Darnell
Love the honesty of not continuing to spend money unwisely any longer b/c it called for your own personal 9/11 experience to your life!! That it is important to budget and condition oneself to be balance and be grateful for the business opportunities in Network Marketing. Thanks to you both Eric & Dan!! Can't wait for the fourth part of this video interview!!
  • Art D. lasvegas
This interview has me up at nights programing my mind to keep it simple and stay focused. Networking may not be easy but its real.
  • drmikempa
It is very important to have balance as you become more and more successful.

Thank you for the book recommendation !
  • tyroneholmes
Great episode,I have been taking this profession for granted, its time to give more if I want more.Something else I learned to to surround yourself with the kind of people.
  • Robertdiggsjr
What you do is a reflection of what your organization does. Wow!
  • hpena
What you do, your organization does. There are so many lessons in that one statement. It's a guide as to what you should and SHOULDN'T do.
  • Mailen
A lot to learn from you Eric and Dan Catto. Very interesting.
And my school english is coming back , by write every day.

Another networkmarketing pro multi millionaire , teached us the 7/7 working program. This was his work habbit at age 17 when he started in ntwm and since he never changed from company. Faithful to your company is another great lesson.Best regards to all

  • Great morning talk today. I appreciate the candor and honesty that Dan is presenting. I find myself relating to so many of the concepts and ideas that it sets the tone for the day. As I integrate these into my daily meetings I am gaining solid feedback from others in my organization, each of whom are re purposing the conversations as they build on their own success. My thank you back is to see them join Network Marketing Pro as members and have them add their own thoughts to the post. Would this make me a Network Marketing Pro UPLine ?:) All the best, Bill

Most important lesson learned for me today - my organization is a reflection of me. I must see the big picture.
  • yuvalcohen
    Hello Eric
Important lesson. I take the issue of persistence, determination and serve as inspiration for my team
  • Katie N
Lots of gems in this one "The speed of your group is the speed of you." I will try to pick up the pace!

    The pearls for today:
Paying the price - nothing is for nothing
    Using the tools effectively.
    Thanks a million…
  • Mark Dickson
Great show. Dan says it all, this is what I need to keep going everyday. This is not drudgery, my job is.
  • ybimbalanced
Great, sound words of experience! anther great interview.
  • Tina
I needed to hear and KNOW that drudgery is all a part of the buisness. Just like sports. Hitting that golf ball 500 times a day or shooting that basket alone on the court from every different angle 8 hours a day is drudgery but it is a part of being successful in those industries as well.
  • hanneretvik
Great lesson also today: not taking it for granted, there is a price to pay, consisting in hard work! I agree and am doing my best! I am participating on my first Event Jan 15-17 in Rome (great European launch of my company) and am so curious about how it will effect my inspiration and work, that I can hardly wait!
  • ericworre
    You'll love it
  • hanneretvik
I'm sure I will! It's a pity you are not coming though!
  • anitagwheeler
Another good lesson...actually several. I love Dan's honestly and candor about his experiences in NM. As a newbie it is encouraging!
  • Over and over and over again....all the same aspects of fundamentals came back when I listen to these giants. Drudgery is part of the deal, so what? Dan Catto rocks! Really good interview and I'm looking forward to the next one tomorrow. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Awesome lesson guys! I had to listen to it the 2nd time around this morning. You always find out something new when down again and again. You're right, success can be done in less than 3-5 years. When I first started with NM I worked my butt off and everything else was put on hold. Now, with "hands on" experience on the 'net and educating myself by reading many books and meeting people from all around, using the tools I have available in my company and from those I meet; I'm not working 24/7 like I used to do.

I'm not making what I would like to right now; but I WILL get there.
Eric, this site is a tool for us all. I'm learning things I never knew about and a daily video from you is extremely helpful for me. Thank you!
  • Dee_Canada
Once again-Dan brings in the reality check. Don't take it for granted amd as you so often say...you have to WORK at it!! Yes...it is hard sometimes...but the steps are simple.
  • I think the biggest problem people have when they go 'full time' is taking TIME for granted! It would be great if we could become more accountable to each other.

Who knows? With the way this community is building it might just happen. :-)
  • jeffreyhall
Great reinforcement of the concept that hard work and drudgery, which is in all jobs, is going to be a part of the journey to success as a professional network marketer. No different than any other profession that offers great benefits and results.
  • hlj521
wow! what a great lesson! Do as I do and not as I say, your team will watch to see if your directions add up to your actions....Awesome reminder! Not to get too comfortable and continue to work the business everyday!
  • This is such great stuff. 5 years of 7 days a week to make it happen! How many people are willing to do that? Most people seem to want to get a website and let it do the work for them.

Well it ain't going to happen!!!

    Looking forward to tomorrows segment.

    Mark.
  • tomlacey
As with many things in life, you can't expect to get something for nothing. You must work the business in order to see rewards.
  • mbryant
The speed of the group depends on the speed of the leader....Good stuff.
  • very useful info here.

Work hard and also don't forget to work smart, then You can get more work done.

If you start taking things, or people, for granted .... it will disappear faster than You can imagine

    Take care
  • soxfan071
I appreciate the honesty. Not taking for granted, learning from experience of others. Working hard...no secret there.
  • But what drives you to work hard? For Dan was no other option.. for me was the same. If you're comfortable most probably your dream is dead. I know you can't build any business with out a strong why, with out a strong desire. And you can't coach desire. You have it or you don't. Most people quit because they don't have a strong enough why/desire. So i believe that you should ask yourself: "What i must absolutely do/be/have before my death or else i would feel that i lived an unfulfilled, living in a shadow, don't take any risk, don't upset anybody, miserable in my own quiet desperation? What i have to do/be/have to feel free, successful, and happy for the rest of my journey on this earth?" This is a good starting point to get you going on your dream. I know it did for me.
    With appreciation,
Alex Tita - As promised. I'm here.
  • conniegleave
I've believed in this industry since the early 80's too. Right now I'm experiencing the most success I've ever had in it. But...if it's true that 'drudgery = success'...I should be rolling in it by now! ha

When I heard: "Your organization will move as fast as you"...it gave me pause. I didn't think I was a turtle (so-to-speak)...I thought I was steady. How's that working for ya? Time to rethink my pace and kick it up a notch!

Only 3 days into this challenge and it's already paying off. Thank you!
  • Cee_G
Hi Eric...Not just our profession - everything in our lives, including our life, we should not take for granted. Another great point: events drive your business, and you. Even if you have no one to bring to a meeting or conference, go. You need it for you first. The rest will follow.
  • keithraines
Thanks eric for your part in this venture.
Leaverage big part of this business, multiplying your efforts over time. Use tools to show business and get the information in front of 10 people a day instead of 1. Help with the sorting process.
  • AviPeer
It is simple to be a millionaire in network marketing if you work nonstop as in the traditional business. The greatness is that all you need is the desire to succeed.
  • nateforrest
Love it...this is a Great interview....put it in words and sell it as an Ebook!! :)
We need more great testimonials like this from former Corporate World background people
to Mlm leader!! I always try to "run faster than my pack!" Great great content....Thanks Eric and Dan!
    God Bless!
  • Big Lesson - Dont Take it for Granted - work hard. Lots of great reminders, thanks guys
  • Paco_Carreno
I like when I realize that all the successful people paid the price for 2 - 5 or even 7 years... I take these lessons and work hard towards a successful application to my business and life... When I learn from someone's experience I pay attention... Some "comforting excuses" still bumping around sometimes but I'm improving... and the kind of sincerity when Dan talks about some mistakes he made with money reveals me what the type of persona we have to become to attract success... I wish I could have a "Time-Machine" and be one day in the life of any of the big earnes in those struggling days!
  • Tony
" I had all the pre-conceived misconceptions about the industry. I thought I was too cool for the industry"

My prospect list is jammed with guys with this attitude. I think they're going to see this interview. Great stuff Eric.
  • clickjt
So, what's with all this hard work and drudgery crap? I was told to just show the program to a few people and they would do the same and pretty soon I would start to get rich. LOL
  • wouterdeprez
I hope we will learn something about what he just did, and about which modern tools to use and how
  • jacob stiner Israel
Hey Eric good to hear again and again the industry's most successful people end learn from their mistakes and hopefully we do not do them.
  • Lisette
Yes! I´m gonna make 2010 my year.
And I agree with "What you do- your group will do"
I have also tried to do things "my way", but I´m gonna change that and do it the simple way instead. And take that energy to do better things.
  • patrickmcfeely
Thanks guys, Where ever you are in your business don't look back. Keep looking foward.

Thank you for your time Eric

Great story. Can't weat to hear the rest of it.
  • gabisahar
    Dear Eric,
    I got it,
Each one of us, has it's story, we need to share our personal story and on the way to show the opportunity. Dan Catto shared with us, his story. Thank you Dan.
    Thank you Eric.
  • Great content Eric, We are all CEO's of our businesses and this is really like a CEO Forum.
  • Bjorgli
So much to learn from you. There are really some parts I have to work harder with.
  • Great, Dan talks about leverage and tools. I have a question. What kind of tools do we have today that we did not have before? I mean 20 years ago we had the DVD's (they were just called VHS and took up much more space in the bag) we had websites, we had one mouth and two ears - what is it that's so diffrent with the tools that we can leverage them more today then before?
  • ericworre
Mostly delivery tools are faster and cheaper. Websites, skype, online training, that type of thing. All are faster and cheaper. We used to spend $15 for a vhs recruiting tape and then fedex it to people! Wow
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
Indeed we should not take it for granted.... we have to work work work... (continuesly, like a locomotive, so the group can/must follow our speed) but we all can see the results of the people who already did that. great interview. S.
  • keith murfet
Another great segment. That wonderful word 'leverage'. That's when people start to really see the magic of this business.
  • bobmeguyer
Hmmm.... The sense of urgency has come up again, you're right we do take things for granted.
  • So easy for us in the western world to take this business for granted. People in South America, Asian and African markets often work harder and with greater passion for their business. A common lesson from all top income earner is that you have to pay the price - which is hard work and sacrifices.
  • Heard you mention before about managing your earning... and here Dan talk about it again. Mmm...

Get another point here = event.
  • deniseschnitzer
This was great, Eric. I loved the part Dan said about "trudgery" on the inside of "success." Oh boy have we been there! That is inspiring and keeps me driven and goal oriented. I will not give in to the turkeys.
  • Hey Denise,, You know the Turkeys always get slaughtered and stuffed in the end.. :) See you in SF
  • granttomkins
Great video, as always. The lesson I took away from the clip was to learn from my mistakes. Doesn't matter if you make them as long as you learn from them and keep a level head.
    GT
  • Erik
So much experience, Yes I have said it many times, people in Mexico and other places like that are doing better than people in Scandinavia and North Europe because we have systems to take care of us and we don`t need to work to survive, the thrue heroes are people in places like Mexico. Another great show :) Bring on # 4
  • peterragg
    Hi Team
"Preconcieved misconceptions about our industry". Its down to us Network Marketing Professionals (all of you) to go out there and educate. The penny will drop in western societies because the welfare states long loger will be able to support people as they have in the past. That penny is dropping very fast and I hope you are ready for it.
    regards
    Peter Ragg
  • MagnusEdvald
What I learned from this part was mainly this: "The speed of you is the speed of your team". Thank you.
  • Great video, as always. What you do is a reflection of what your organization will do. That is amazing and so true.
  • Ryan
Lesson I took away from the clip was to stay balanced and set priorities..really depends what you want or must have in your life, which is the beauty of the profession.
  • Inger
There's a price to pay if you want to be succesful... but that is in every business, not only network marketing. The good thing is that if you do it and focus on using the tools, you get much more result in a quicker way than in a any traditional business or JOB.
I'm glad you guys are so open and upfront about your mistakes, so we can learn from them.
    Thanks!
  • happyhealthybob
I think that there is still a huge price to pay, of course i want to be one of you guys.
  • lucbehar
    213:
We all have to leverage from all the tools we have today!
So many tool are available and we "the new one" have so much more speedy tools available to reach all our people around the globe!
So when is the next ;-)
    Great show as always
