All of our actions matter. Working hard on a daily bases until we reach to where we are aiming to be. Powerful stuff.
  • Making my comment for the challenge...but since I am catching up I am skipping forward to the full Complete & Uncut version...Hope this counts and isn't cheating! LOL
  • Again, so true. In the beginning of my MLM career I thought I knew all. But the more I earn, the more I realize I have to increase my efforts on Personal Development

Personal growth is the name of the game in this industry...

    Another great training.

I LOVE personal development. It is what actually got me into network market, not the other way around. I love reading and developing my mind and growing myself. It is one of my biggest passions aside from the desire to help others make the leap into becoming all they can be and get out of the herd mentality. It's a challenge because alot of people rather be comfortable even though they are suffering. It's a huge challenge because people who know little to nothing about personal development can't see what we see. That is our job to help them see something right in front of their faces that they previously never thought was possible. It's a challenge that I am up for. It's not about the money, I see the money as a really nice bonus and also a measuring tool. Money is just a method of exchanging value. The more value you put into the world, the more value you get out from the world. If you want to make more money, just find a way to give more value to more people. I recommend personal development to everyone who wants more from life! I work harder on myself than I do my business but I believe personal development is the most important right after never quitting. Even if you don't do your business, if you keep up with personal development, it is only a matter of time before it will click and your business will explode. We must OD on PD!

Really liked this one. "Work your mind into it, put your mind into it every day, work on yourself..." and then it will come naturally and be a part of you.

Personal development is something I need to work on the most I think.

I belief fundamentals are important, besides motivation. I am looking forward to be there and to meet .....figure income. Tx for this training Dan and Eric.
  • travelprohawaii
I will do that little things everyday and I am encouraged to see the development of my business. I have been in the industry for years but have not done the small things consistently so I dedicate 2010 to doing the small things everyday!
  • Looking forward to the complete interview
  • I believe in surrounding yourself with the best tools you can get for developing and improoving yourself.
The little things ( half an hour daily reading, hearing...) make the difference. And never stop this process- there is also place to get better.
  • Susan Peluso
I agree personal development is key to my success in Network Marketing and life. There was alot of great information in these interviews.
  • MarvinTowler
This is so key. Water only rises to its own level. We are not only what we eat, but also what we read, watch, listen to, and think.

I agree Personal Development is Key. You must grow yourself before your business can grow

Personal development happens over time, just like the 2-a-day idea. "Work harder on yourself than you do on your business" --Jim Rohn Great interview! Thanks Eric and Dan

These videos are such a gift when it comes to staying plugged into personal development. Not only do you promote personal development, but you give suggestions. My son got a kick out of seeing “The 50th Law” by 50 Cent on my reading table. I would probably have never ordered it if you hadn’t suggested it. Thanks.
  • mspaulamc
Whatever you think about, you bring about. So true. The epiphany here is that success leads us to find more and greater motivation. I just read Alicia Keyes interview in Success Magazine tonight which hit on the exact same thing. A great revelation to say the least ... thanks!
  • John Spardella
I just watched the entire uncut version but didn't see any place to comment, so I will here. I like that Eric decided to leave in about the last 10 mins or so because it allows the viewer to see that these are in fact people just like us that started out with all the same challenges, health issues, dreams, and ambitions that we all share. The only difference was they are relentless in there pursuit, and it helped me to see that even if were not good in all the areas we need to be, we can get good at putting people in front of the next piece of the puzzle.
  • FRANK DIAZ
WITH THIS BASIC PRINCIPAL PERSONNAL DEVELOPMENT I HAVE DETERMINE TO SPEND TIME ON MY SELF TO GROW AND NOT ONLY IN THE BUSINESS.
  • happyhealthybob
I have become more and more aware of personal development and i am finding that it is the most important.
  • lisabooth
Daily work is necessary in this business. Personal development is one of the more important ones! When I have that daily discipline, it truly shows in my business!
  • heatherbrocklehurst
This is probably one of the biggest advantages of being part of the network marketing industry. I have never had a job that encouraged me to better myself to the extent we do here. At best, you're asked to learn a new skill that makes you more valuable to them only. I am amazed at what I've learned about myself in the last few years.
  • Personal development is as important as breathing air
  • dterrell
    Thanks Eric and Dan!!!
  • Almost caught up! Good to watch the videos again and again too.

Didn't seem to get a reply email confimation even though I commented below on episode #214

My husband has faithfully done his 2 to 3 weekly cardio sessions and hundreds of living room or hotel room push ups in lieu of fancy gym memberships and he stays in great shape year after year. Other friends yo yo around, buy huge home gyms, start and stop with expensive trainers and have no consistency. The parallel to our business is obvious. I think the steady every day diet of personal development is better than gung ho week long seminars that get you all fired up and then there is no more learning or growing the rest of the year. Professional reading like exercise is a discipline that pays rewards that are often little noticed until you neglect to do them, then the results can be quite obvious and ugly.
  • Cortney
Consistent daily personal development is critical.
  • Stephen
Great to hear the time spent around personal development. Invariably an investment here pushes on everything else including posture, self confidence rises, credibility increases, attraction as well.
  • jerryscribner
    Thanks Dan and Eric
  • Clara Ines Londono
I really appreciate that both of you claim to make mistakes along the way and going back to the "fundamentals"
    Thanks
  • claralondono
great advice..personal developement is core. Thanks
  • nikomachi
I was reminded of a Greek saying “Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are”. This encompasses the whole idea of one becoming the average of the type of people one hangs out with.

Personal development for top income earners; is everything!!! Personal development is huge. CD’s, tapes, dvd’s. Earl Nightengale, Napolean Hill. What you listen to, read, what you surround yourself with will determine who you are. The greatest secret in the world. A steady diet of what you listen to and watch. All of the leadership; to look at their library is intense. A library so vast that it takes up a room? To be in great shape requires that you go to the gym on a regular schedule. Same thing is applicable throughout life. Simple disciplines repeated over time= success. Simple errors in judgment= failure. Health, spiritually, everything you do every day. Much more broad benefit than just business, but critical fundamental. When you reach success, you’ve got to work on yourself the most. Motivation when you already have a 7 figure bank account. Adversity, challenge, difficulty; these are things to embrace. Always learning.

We certainly have a better way, and thank you all for being a part of it.

I skipped ahead and watched the uncut version. Dan has great info, I can see why he has done so well.

Personal Development Is Everything! Yeah, all those old cassette tapes and nothing to play them on but I'm building a great CD & MP3 library.
  • lisamb84
The great Jim Rohn also said, "Income seldom exceeds personal development." The better person you are, the more you know, the more wisdom you gain, the more problems you'll be able to solve in a satisfactory way, the more people will be attracted to you as an expert, a consultant. That is what good business is all about. Thank, gentlemen, for a wonderful interview!
  • One of the things that will make people stop and re-think their perception about network marketing is statistics - like the fact that many women millionaires in the $25+ million bracket are from our industry (or something). We should have more information on this type of data.
  • ronaldvandomburg
personal development is crucial! I only can subscribe this statement fully.
  • quincy
I think my fav so far. He is so right about personal development. That separates people in this business. Personal development changed my life.
  • pasiaalto
Personal development consistently - feed you mind every day with good stuff. Thanks again.
  • MDungey
So true - stop self development for even a few days and you start going backwards, your attitude changes and troubles seem to increase. Thanks for the reminder.
  • jewade32
That is the Greatest thing about Network Marketing is that it demands we must grow as people to grow our organizations. Personal development is key in my life and I spend countless hours listening to audiobooks and reading and plan to invest many more hours in the future. Thank you Eric and Dan for touching on the importance of Personal Development!
  • Very inspirational link between success and continuous personal development. I listened to The complete interview before this segment. Could anyone make any comments or suggestions on events they have done for prospective team members?
    Thanks
  • eugenejohnson
IT funny that the Business is always breaking down the basics.... The 3 things that this business is about ... 1) events 2) personal development 3) activity
  • crwood1967
Staying plugged in with good training is so, so, so important! YOU have to find the training and listen, read or participate in it! Thanks for getting our arrow pointed in the right direction.
  • orlyalbo
Thank you again! this is what i am doing evry day - self development. evry day reading and listning. today it was Fog i listen.
  • susanjohannesson
I will from now on try and read even more, thank's for pointing out how important that is!
    /Susan
  • Pepeneto
Personal development is so important to prepare your mind for success and to keeping your mind in "good shape" in order to mantain the success and getting ready to reach the next level. In other wise you probably lose what cost you a lot.
  • Dylan Cooper
Thank you Eric and Dan. "Just Do IT". It is so true. Excuses and procrastination are like a disease in human nature. Isn't it interesting that usually the hardest part is getting started in a task. Then when you are going, you wonder what all the fuss was about (in your head).
You pick better tools up along the way. You can't wait to become before you do. You do and then you become. You just need to get started.

    Dylan
  • I do need to add more PD time budget into my schedule!
  • genegrass
I have been called "Mr Positive" all my life, yet combining Personal Development has changed my Life.
PD is huge for ALL Successful people
Law of Association - listen to, watch, stuff you surround yourself with and people you surround yourself with >>> determines who you are and who you become. IT IS A LAW!

Life and soul >> whatver you put in mind/body will come back out
Simple Disciplines repeated over time leads to Success. Simple misjudgement repeated over time leads to failure.
The little things you do everyday lead to the outcome of your Life. Everything counts!
Share business with someone EVERY day....the fundamentals.

"Great sailors were never created in calm waters". EMBRACE adversity, challenges, failure, problems, obstacles .These are the lesssons of the business.
Work on yourself harder than you work on anything else!

My take? Focus on the fundamentals, i.e, the process, the daily activities. Thomas H. Huxley says, "Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the things you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not.”
In closing, my new disipline for this 100 day challenge is: every morning while preparing my morning tea I will listen to Art Williamsspeech, "Just Do It!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2uFH0NCMY4
  • Personal development changed my life!! If it was not for my network marketing company, I would of never been introduced to personal development. Personal development is everything. I can't get enough of it because I want to grow as much as I possibly can. As a lot us network marketers say, network marketing is a personal development and leadership program with a compensation plan attached!! Awesome interview Eric.. Thanks so much Eric and Dan!!
  • ido_aronson
Personal development indeed is a very important factor in becoming better as a leader, or in any other aspect of ones life for that matter.
But think of this idea: being a true and successfull leader in our industry on itself is part of this personal development.
If you realize that you can become successfull only when you do it from the true motives, you understand that you actually become a better person with the growth of your business.

Reading good books, listening, watching - surrounding us with the right people keeps that aspect of our brain in shape.
  • jennyc
Personal development, great stuff!! Good to be reminded.
  • Krisi
That was my favorite section! It is so true about the personal developement thing. It improves how you deal with every aspect of your life. I've never been much of a reader until I started reading personal developement books. I'm reading The Dynamics Laws of Prosperity right now and I love it!!
  • Personal Development is KEY to success.

When I started in this business I couldn't see any point in personal development, now I absolutely love personal development - can't get enough! Funny, how we can change and I am so thankful for this business and the changes in me.
  • Thanks guys great show I've set a goal of 2 books a month for 2010.
ps...Great to have a Canadian on the show!! :)
  • randyhendrickson
I truly love this interview Thank you
  • alltheverybest
"Leaders are Readers" - I used to find that so irritating! Trouble is it's so true...
  • classy70sgirl
It's absolutely true, that personal development is key to success. I firmly believe that personally developing yourself allows you to take life by the throat and shake the living daylights outtta it!
I've been up an upward curve of personal development these past 5 years, but none so steep as 2009 and I plan to continue this upward curve through 2010 and beyond. I so enjoy reading the various books and am always hungry for more. Thank you both for this fabulous interview and I look forward to viewing the long version.
  • Keith Murfet
"Great sailors were never created in calm waters". What an inspirational quote for the tough times. Thank you Eric. I'm looking forward to absorbing the entire interview.
  • CarlosVera
Work on yourself and keep yourself in shape with a steady diet of personal development (that was a great phrase!!!). Great stuff guys, thanks!!!

    Carlos from Paraguay

PS.: READ, READ, READ!!! It’s sad to see how hard it is for lots of people to do this………..
  • Inger
It's as I said yesterday... Personal development is great! What I find sad is the fact that specially the people that need it the most don't seem to want to do it, what you saind Eric. The people already earning mora than 100.000 all are very much into reading books etc ect. and the people wanting to earn that but not succeeding say that they know it all already.... Interesting.
  • janetrajala
    Agreed. Personal development is key.

Tried to post yesterday. Having trouble with password. Was posting as guest. There is warning note that a browser setting is preventing me from logging in. Not sure how to fix.
  • bartar20
Looking forward to watching the total uncut version. I am constantly reminded to keep it simple, if I teach my team that than duplication becomes a whole lot easier.

  • neilclements
I get it ..JUST DON'T QUIT...No matter how hard it may seem....and use Personal Development as your Rosetta Stone and shield!

    Thank You Gentlemen!

  • Layla
Dan spoke about the personal development and I think it's really important. In Finland, we have an excellent library system that ensures that it is always available for reading. I myself is also a moderate library. Too bad that the Network marketing literature has been translated into Finnish, and they are very little, and I already have read all .

    Layla from Finland
  • Great clip Eric and Dan. Thanks in particular for the helpful summary of the key points covered. Looking forward to San Francisco and meeting some great people ;-)
  • Rosa7
    Great ,personel devolpment
  • I start to believe that all it takes is really the decision to get there. And over and over the message I get from you is a YES, go for it. I couldn't believe it 2 or 3 months ago, but over and over I get the inner feeling that YES, all I have to do is go for it. You guys present it as an inevitable result if I decide.

    Thanks.

    NOTES:
Personal development is everything. Feed myself a steady diet of PD. The greatest secret in the world, Earl Nightingale. Regular schedulle. Whatever I put in is what comes out. The little things that I do everyday will dictate the outcome.

Share the product everyday. Show the business every day. Over time you'll see the results in the business.
Embrace failures and obstacles - they are the lessons.
  • nickgarrison
I love the personal development. I have started it and I am a much better person for it.
  • nickgarrison
The one thing i got is talk about your business everyday.
  • Donna Wheaton, Maplewood, MN
Since I have been exposed to network marketing pro I have enjoyed the interviews with Dan. I was wondering if anyone happen to write down the authors name of "A touch of greatness" I can't seem to locate the author or the book?
  • Luis (Pelon)
Let's keep up the motivation and always keeping it simple.
  • Thanks for another great video filled with amazing knowledge and wisdom for us all.
I love the analogy of the sailor's never becoming great in calm waters. It is so true.
It is really through our challenges and how we respond to them that determines our current state and future in our lives. Network Marketing is a fantastic profession that can truly change the lives of millions and millions from the inside out. Thanks again.
    God Bless.
  • gerritbronkhorst
Cool..looks like you guys every day answer a question I asked the day before! :) Personal development...that's what I missed and that's what this 100 day thing is all about! Love to be back (a little on track).
  • Lorraine
All that I read and continue reading really does gives the same message just stated differently. The underlining message is the same. It has taken me 4 years to reach the point of learning the basics. I guess I was a slow learner. Yet, now I am poised to move in the right direction and really be coachable by those that have paved the way. I enjoy your show and appreciate what you are doing. thanks for being a great mentor.
  • Ngoc Tran
I do agree that self development is the most important task we need to do. Not only in this area but for all. The more I develop myself, the more I can understand/tackle my problems and strengthen my path. NMPRO helps me so much. I owe you a favor!
  • gillym1
Awesome Guys! Thank you so very much!
  • I've seen a lot of your interviews, Eric.. But this one with Dan takes the price...
You just "get it" with him...

Hello I added this comment yestreday but as a guest I decided to add again today with my user
    Hello Eric
I agree with you both, for me personnal development is very important, is the image of your company,
is like your persentation card. And everyday I like to read, I like to listen CD, watch DVD, so this tools
it helps me to improve my business

Wonderful and Exciting Interview. I enjoyed watching all of it. Something to mediate on "Great Sailors are never greater than calm waters". Will be watching again
  • John Spardella
One thing I've noticed is that even when you believe you know something inside and out, have it ingrained in your brain, it's still serves you to hear it repeated, such as the importance of self developement. I engage in it constantly but when you hear top income earning successful people reminding you yet again, it implants it in your brain that much stronger.
  • juanfernandogutierrez
Personal development is very important, but most of us forget this in the way to success. Training ourselves help us remain motivated too
  • Paco_Carreno
As a personal trainer... what can I say about training but the very best... The key... Personal Development, Personal Grow... is what makes the journey! It's what make us the person we want to become to attract success... I took this message of Personal Development long time ago, even before getting in front of a Network Marketing opportunity... and I can't explain why or how.. but we know that part of the reason why I got to the situation where I had to start thinking differently and applying what I was learning in a new venture called Network Marketing, was definitely Personal Development... This is what I think will make the difference no matter what, no matter web2.0 no matter economy, etc...
  • Naama Aharoni
Self Development is everything. Before this interview I thought i was doing a lot of self development, now I know that I should do more. This interview dropped some coins for me regarding that issue. Thank you Eric and Dan! Great Interview! I have learned a lot.
  • dannyscottlynn
    This is great stuff!!!

The idea of personal growth with this business is very true. Even if I didn't make money, the personal growth that I have been able to achieve and still strive for has been invaluable.
  • bryantkeefe
I am looking forward to seeing all of this again when the whole interview is posted.
  • Personal development is everything - something to remember. (Tapes - I also have some left ;))
I will have a big library too in a couple of years.....
    Nice show...

I agree that what you do as a habit every day like this comment, self development and revenue producing activities, is what will get me to the 6 figure monthly income. I am working on that, thank you Eric.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is:
"To attract attractive people, you must be attractive.
To attract powerful people, you must be powerful.
To attract committed people, you must be committed.
Instead of going to work on them, you go to work on yourself.
If you become, you can attract."

  • I like the point that being broke is a good motivator but when you have a 7fig acct, you've got to find another motivator. personal development is what takes you to the next level - it's one of the ultimate signs of humility and shows that one is always willing to learn.
  • KeithN
The value and importance of personal development should not be taken for granted. Great fuel to feed the mind and the soul.
  • "Personal Development is everything" - so well said of Dan. Personal development is the fuel that runs your engine, or the power of your MindBattery. When I was introduced to this concept of "what you put in, will come out" it really changed my way of thinking. I started with "the old tapes"; late Jim Rohns "Creating an unshakable Character" and was blowned away with the power of his words. I am so thankful for this fantastic Profession, helping me to discover the power of Personal Development!

Getting Close and Staying Close to the Fire

The road to success lies between the ears. And in the chest. And in a willingness to do the thing that others are unwilling to do. The Tin Man needed a brain, the Scarecrow needed a heart and the Lion needed courage. Seldom, if ever, does anyone accomplish anything unless they believe in the possibility. Seeing, tasting touching our desires is not enough. Seldom, unless by mistake, does anyone accomplish anything of value unless they are capable of giving service to another. Love thy neighbor does have a place in a network marketing business. Seldom, unless by chance, does a person’s life change unless they are capable of change.

In any career personal development is going to make you more employable. Having the knowledge and skills of communication and critical thinking make you an asset to the team. Character that dresses well deserves a promotion.

Words are a funny thing. They travel on a sound vibration, but the sound of itself carries little meaning. When words enter our head a change happens as we ascribe meaning and value and experience to their interpretation. The coach is a master of creating a Yellow Brick Road with words. All of the sudden you feel like you’ve been shown the way. Darkness becomes light. Gandhi said, “The truth speaks to us all.”

The purpose of a coach is to make us aware of ourselves. To awaken that greater purpose for which we came into this life. The purpose of a coach is to give us a vision of our greatness. In network marketing a leader often has to hold the knowledge of what is possible until the recruit can get that knowledge in their heart. Not the head, the heart. In network marketing many products are created to change lives; to provide a solution to a health problem or social concern. Until you witness the change in another persons life, you won’t have the fire. All is vanity if the heart be not moved

Have you ever noticed that advertising is promoting something you can have other than the product. Different auto commercials may sell sex or muscle or speed or self-esteem that the viewer is expected to associate with the car or truck. Food commercials like milk, ice cream, or beer use humor to divert your attention. This entire pretense that the material world is going to fulfill our desires and create a better life for us is found everywhere when you are looking outward. It exists in network marketing; products that exist for the financial opportunity. And they are quite capable of putting an emotional spin on the product. It’s called the story. Everyone needs one. You just have to be careful about the messages you believe and your conditioning.

What’s the point? The most important development you will ever be involved in is your own life. Selling anything is transference of belief; transference of excitement. If you don’t have a strong enough belief about the network marketing industry or the opportunity you have chosen, then you need to stay close to the fire until you uncover your own secret power. Stay close to the fire and passion of a great mentor. He/she will give you courage enough until you have courage of your own. Then you are the Wizard of Oz with the curtain down.

I believe that continuous personal growth is major. Why you should stop if feels so good and never ends?
  • hanneretvik
Being completely new in this NM world, I had no idea that personal development had so much to do with it. Now my eyes are opening to a whole new world and I am so grateful! I am reading a lot and slowly building up my library. See you tomorrow!

  • rosslopez
I totally agree that personal grow / personal development is everything.
Setting the path for ourselves to work on our personal development will guide us to the succeed...
Why? It's simple, because you will transmit to the people all you are sorrounded by... if you trust in the product, if you know about the business, if you become a leader, people will notice right away and if you start talking only about the good things you get, you will become very attractive to them.

I just love all I've been learning from these shows
    Thanks Dan and Eric
    A big hug from Mexico

Thanks for the new book Dan ... The Greatest Secret in the World - Earl Nightengale!
  • beckydesabah
When you are successful you need to work on yourself. . . as Mr. Craig Bradley use to say "The dream is free, the journey is not".
  • Thanks for the recap, the repetition really helps. I have enjoyed personally growing. I have not enjoyed getting "uncomfortable" until I actually do it & realize the blessing is received once I step outside my comfort zone. Daily, daily, daily!!! My mentor says show the biz everyday for a year without fail. As you said, the successful people in this industry do the same key things.
  • caronwashington
Personal development is huge. Simple disciplines versus simple errors in judgment. Ive heard this so many times and it sticks more and more each day as I go through my daily goals. Adversity is truly the time to see what you're made of but use it as a learning experience to move forward. Great info and insight from Dan
  • martinvf
To me personal development goes hand by hand with an appropriate work system. I've passed through personal dev training in the companies I've worked for (regular job) and the energy lasts 3 o 4 days, and then back to reality of not liking my job, not liking the people i work with, hate my boss, etc. MLM provides the best work system that goes together with Personal Dev.
It's amazing realize of a profession like MLM that asks you to invest in Personal Dev, and not in a Mastery or a technology certificate or anyother specialization that will only serve to your employer.

GREATE interview. Tks Eric, tks Dan.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.
  • jc13
That's what I keep struggling with too. So many people get signed up with people who haveno interest in what it takes to help someone succeed in this business. They just say keep calling. Keep calling. Show the plan. Show the plan. I think Eric is trying to find the better way. That's why he finishes he videos with we have a better way.
  • susanclark
I appreciate you Eric and Dan Catto for the information that you share with us, the next wave of successful network marketers. It was very interesting what Dan said about how when you are successful; you have to work on yourself - it is a must. You are no longer motivated because you are broke. #214

Self-development is so important, not only in Network Marketing but in all aspects of life.
  • racingworm
He's right about the personal growth, that's for sure. I know when I'm getting off track I can put in a c.d and get all stoked up again. I agree wholehartedly in it. This has been a fantastic interview. Thankyou

yes, as my biz partner says, fall in love with the process
it is who you become as a result of this journey that matters the most

Personal growth and development is the raison d'etre of life! It is essential to our own self-discovery and is a measure of success in it's own right. The quote " success is a journey not a destination" exemplifies that it's not about what we achieve financially, but more about what we learn and experience along the way.
  • kgadol
I so agree ... personal development is key! Just as we feed our body daily, we must feed our spirits and our soul. Love it!
  • lynn hall
Personal Devlopment is so important and what you put in is what you get out. Good to work hard on yourself everyday.
  • Shovers
It was good to hear someone else mention tapes! Personal Development, what an important concept. I have been fortunate over the past ten years to be with 2 companies that value that. I can"t wait to see where that puts me in the next ten years.

    Ahhh good old tapes

sometimes it takes awhile for people like me to get it because we don't like to read or we use excuses as to why we don't work on our business and then turn around and say well that did not work it is a bad mlm or what ever and I now realize how important it is work on our self development man all those years I have wasted J/K I have learned my lesson but hey it is never to late listen to those leaders and you will see the difference read, listen, talk SIMPLE=success follow the plan your leaders are using

Hi Eric This is going to be a good year.I hope you and Dan will share your past times.Do it again soon. #4 I think?
  • LisaR2010
Eric, I can't thank you enough for your generosity and commitment to us newcomers. Yes, I totally agree with you about the folks who are diligent in investing into themselves. I am one of those who is constantly reading, watching and seeking to get to that next level. You are a true inspiration to us all!

This was the fire behind the rocket of network marketing pro 100 day challenge! I'm launched off and headed toward becoming a network marketing professional. Thank you Mr. Worrie.
  • ericworre
    Love it!
  • Jose Lopez
Great interview. Can't wait to see the whole thing tomorrow! Many good tips. Two special "little nuggets" I take. The idea of our "Networking Soul" ... loved it! And the reminder that the higher the success, the deepest the personal work to be done. Thanks so much Mr. Catto! Much success!
  • I love the metaphors that are used. A diet rich in personal development is a necessity in a world full of negativity. As a man thinketh, so is he. Surround yourself with a buffet of like minded people and watch success flourish. As Ghandi says "Be the change you want to see in the world"

Thank you SO much Eric for the time & effort you put into providing us with such a buffet and for teaching, encouraging and promoting professionalism in what is arguably the best business model in the free enterprise.
  • jc13
Funny, I thought of Gandhi to when I replied. How did the impoverished man influence so many?
  • latachia_2
Thank you for the feeding of the mind & the sole.Mr Catto(& you as well) seems so happy ,being able to lead people that want to be lead, down the right path.i really enjoyed him chuckling when you two were taling about how lucky that there is the opportunity of Network marketing to get the wonderful lifestyle that you guys have been able to achieve for yourselves. and you got it by feeding yourselves with personal seveopment& helping others do the same & to always be doing the same things every day.Listening to self deveopment, reading it,passing out the tools& helping others do sxactly the same thing.
  • Luis Gringras
The best place to put in action Personal Devepment is in MLM industry, If you do it in Corporate Word or traditional businness the cost might be higher.
  • KRT1
Great information again. This is personal development ... the acceptance of a 100 day challenge ... to stay committed and grow and blossom from the experience. Thank you.
  • Magdalena
These invertiews are definately worth investing the time to watch again and again! Thanks Eric and Dan.
  • Alvaro Rodriguez
I agree that personal development is essential and also I think that is essential in everything... if you want to be good in something (and also happy, because you can be an unhappy pro) you have to make the time in your life to develop yourself, and that´s not only for the people in mlm but for everyone. You have to have time to do things that nourish your soul.
  • Steve Johnson
To quote the legendary Jim Rohn "It's important to nourish the mind, not just the body." Can't wait to see the full interview tomorrow.
  • annenz
Self development is the key. How I am enjoying it. With thanks
  • Self development is key. We have to continue to oil our minds with positive encouraging messages.
  • chiatkhor
Personal development is very important no matter what industry we are in. In Chinese, there is a saying, live till we old, learn till we old. And I think, in order to develop ourselves to a better person, we should let go our ego first. I used to think I am a superb, I have known a lot about network marketing. Compare with some friends, yes, maybe. During that time, my organization didn't grow well. Until one day, I went to a seminar organized by our group leader and he said that we should read books everyday. This sentence made me felt something. Then I started my reading since then. I learn everything that I could. The more I learn, the more I feel there are still a lot of things that I don't know yet. Like today, I do learn a lot from Dan. Thanks. I will keep on learning and reach my success in network marketing.
  • John Coonley
I am at a training conference right now in Dallas. Self development is very important. Taking action is my challenge.

Great analogy the one about the gym, it makes it very easy to explain to everyone, why self development is King.
  • jpmendoza
There is something different about a person that works at Self Development, some people see the change some people do not. Self Development is another form of nourishment.
  • mbryant
Great finish to this interview! Personal Development is the KEY! And setting our EGOS aside to embrace the need for Personal Development. Great work, Eric & Dan!
  • Love it! The full version, lengthy or not, has to be a 'must watch' episode.
  • ericworre
Did you run into funny audio problems around 38 minutes in?

Great sailers were never created in calm waters. Makes so much sense! Great analogy.
  • jbledsoejr
That is what is so great about this industry...the total embracing of Personal Development. When you surround yourself with others who are learning and living personal development it just fuels you and benefits you in so many ways. I believe someone commented early and said if they never made any more $ in this business it was still worth it for the Personal Development...I'll add that it's almost impossible to not make more money if we have continued learning and growth! WIN/WIN! Great 4 days! Thanks Eric & Dan!
  • GlobalVision
SELF DEVELOPMENT!! YES! The basic and key ingredient of success in every part of my LIFE!! Thanks for the reminder and encouragement!!
  • JenniferDu79
Personal Development is definately key to this business I am prepared to work to become the person I need to be in this business. I also loved what Eric said about taking us over the tipping pointto become a more mainstream respected industry. He is right we have a better way. See you in San Francisco!

Hello every one! I am soo into self development!, I turned my car into a training room with a series of audios called Duplication University, since that moment I knew how important it was to laerning from the people who really crank it up, I heard those audios like 20 times and I can tell I knew the fundamentals and the nuts and bolts before them, and started to aplye them first... BUT it is a discipline as you Eric and Dan said and it must be done every day, and be willing to grow and learn new stuff.

I suppose being broke must be the best motivator for somebody who already is open for this profession, but "unfortunately" I haven´t being broke yet, I need a strog motivator as that!... I hope someday to be motivated because I will earn a 7 figure income!...

    Saludos!
    Enrique.
  • julie67
I can really see how network marketing is really like our spiritual walk thru life. We are constantly needing to grow and be sanctified. Our weakness are exposed for what they are and our strengths come forth. We grow the most when things are the hardest.
  • Mark (Germany)
"Invest Life into Life" - that was my favourite four words today. It's 02.15 a.m. here in Germany, no excuses, loving the journey. Thanks again, Eric and Dan for this sympathetic post ..
  • Personal development...it's too true...it is the basis of our growth and success!
  • karivankleef
Great interview I can't wait to watch the whole thing.
  • Personal development is FUN! Isn't it? Am I the only one who can't go 24 hours without some new wisdom from Jim Rohn, Randy Gage, or some one like them?
  • donham298
    Thanks again Eric.
Personal Development is where it always starts and finishes.
You and Dan are so humble about your successes.
  • HoracioMejia
You are what you eat (and we need to eat constantly to stay alive), the same way as you are what you put inside of you moment after moment (no constant growth, no good life). No wonder that the more success you get (you are happier with yourself), the more good input you need (you look for more development) and the more you give back to your environment.
  • steveb22
and you must keep up the momentum of personal self development just like keeping the momentum up in your business!!!
  • Personal development is one of the things I am looking forward to
I have a fear of talking in front of people, and I know that I can break into it slowly in network marketing. The amount of people I have to talk to will grow with my business. So I can be at ease when talking in front of people. The more successful I become the bigger the crowd.
Thank you for the interview it was great
  • ericworre
I used to feel the same. And yes, it will go away.
  • Yet again, an interview full of insights. Thank you.
  • tyroneholmes

Hi! thanks for the training, i want network marketing to be my lifestyle, have to work!
  • Wow! I am so glad to hear both of your comments about how you have grown personally as well as your network marketing business with the constant immersion in the self-help field. This is huge and reinforces my feelings about my hunger to read, attend and listen to the self-help masters. Thank you, I am grateful to have you two as mentors.
  • LAURA LOPEZ
    Hello Eric

    Hey Eric;
I have loved and used Dan's energy, education and excellent advise at two networking meetings and boy do they work...basic...keep it real...enjoy the process and never ever give up!
  • A diet for personal development is crucial. Feeding yourself on personal development will allow you to spread it to the market to give some value.

    Let's go tell the world!!
  • carolmcwilliams
I am making a personal commitment to myself to read 10-15 pages 5 days a week during this next 3 months. I have so many books I want to read, but I don't schedule it into my day so I only read small amounts and I don't get the full impact of what I read as it is late at night when I am tired.
Despite all the activities that I need and want to do to develop myself to attract the best possible people into my business I also want to be mindful of not coming from a place of pressure and have to's but rather a mindset that personal growth is something I am doing to feed my soul, and rejuvenate my spirit. I want to carry this attitude with me, as I know having this intention I will get more from my day.
  • ericworre
    You will love it!
  • Frank Diaz
Feed your self with a steady diet of personal development every day and are Life will Change.
  • Eric: I like the learning center and how it is developing. Thanks for growing this resource.
Is there any place within your world, where an individual can go to review your suggestions on the top 100 must reads of all time? I know there are likely many more, however with your ongoing suggestions, it would be a benefit to reference some of the past must reads along with the multitude of new offerings being brought out daily. Just a thought, but you could be the next " OPRAH" for best sellers on personal development and net work marketing. We are all waiting.... thanks!
  • ericworre
Hmmm, good idea. Let me think on that a bit

"simple discipline repeated over time = success" How true!
  • Nothing much to add to this. Personal development is important. I keep looking at my library and the audios I have on my computer and I have most of the books and audios that are mentioned in these videos. They have brought about a change but not as profound as it has for some. The hard part is applying the principles that each book/audio offer.

    Amen!
If I get nothing else out of joining the profession, I'll still be thankful for the personal development I have experienced.
The results I have seen in my relationships to my kids, girlfriend, friends, everybody is just fantastic.

I also see development in my ability to talk to prospects by asking them to talk to me.
Just today I went back and talked to an old co-worker I contacted 4 months ago.
Today she gave me an appointment to come and present the opportunity to her.

It's still the same opportunity, I just learned and developed in the meantime.

Eric, another shout out for the webinar. Just rewatched it and it's going to get used a lot more!
    Powerful stuff!

It's so good to know that by applying daily the basic fundamentals with our personal development we can gain financial success and pass that along to others by example just as you two both have!! Enjoyed this interview session and looking forward to the next lesson to better ourselves as pro's in Network Marketing!! Thank you both once again!!
  • highimpact0406
The universal truth of "what you put into it is what you will get out of it" is a nice reminder. Everyone can become an expert at something if they have the consistency and determination to achieve a goal and learn from the best! Thanks Eric!
  • Thank you Eric! This was a fantastic interview! It's all about helping people and when you help enough people, you automatically succeed. Thanks for all you do!
  • gloriavintila
It is so true that personal development is the core of network marketing. It all lies in the goals one sets when starting this journey and the personal battles they go through to achieve them. Eric, Dan, if you need a device to listen to your casette tapes, I am ready to offer a Panasonic tape player my dad bought me in 1992 or so :) and I will only charge a symbolic price, like for example the right to participate to one of your seminars or so. And now I will go to bed thinking about what you guys said: that we are the next generation of success stories and I will plan what I will say in the "Million Dollar per year" interview with Eric within a couple of years.
  • hpena
Great episode, I realized that I have to put more effort into my own personal development. I have seen many people make great incomes in this profession but only for a short time because they didn't do enought personal developement. Those that actually maintain a high income and live a lifestyle of freedom have always attributed their success to personal development.

  • FrankMarshman
We all got to where we are by learning certain ways to do and think. The only way to change is to change those do's and think's. The world bombards us with thoughts and ideas. We must bombard ourselves with what we believe is good and important.
  • Bryan_in_KC
If you have a high IQ don't let your brilliance overshadow the need to stick to the fundamentals. I've seen it over and over when intellect abandons the need for personal development and makes the fundamentals secondary. Do what is necessary and keep it simple.
  • amberaimshigh
I love hearing from Network Marketing Pros, like you and Dan, Eric! I know others that think they are pros and have lost sight of what this industry is all about! Helping people! Thank you for this challenge! It is already making a change in me!

that's what i love about this profession, the personal growth it's vital to have success... it challenge everybody to be a better person.
  • Personal growth is my key word in the network marketing industry.
Thats the drive I heve for this business.
Some will join because of the money and business opportunity, some because of the products but I know that the personal growth in this business is a must! thats my aim as a human being, personal coach and as a professional network marketer.
As ScottCofer commented "it's really a personal development journey disguised as a business opportunity".
  • penaltybox1
    Keep them coming !!
  • Simple discipline repeated over time = success, Simple error of judgement repeated over time = failure. Really Powerful. thanks Eric for your leadership.
  • Earl
Thanks for your many points of learning... Many things to understand... Other business models seemed to be more physical challenges with a bit of mental... NWM tends to be more flipped the other way... More of a mental game then physical...
  • Thanks Eric and Dan, I was thinking back on something that Dan said about being too cool for Network Marketing, I think that I have suffered from being too cool for success...thanks to Mr. Wattles and Mr. Hill, that is all changing!! Great Interview!
  • cherisizzles
I love the idea that Personal Development is KEY. It's one of my favorite things to do, so it gives me great hope! I love Eric's quote, "WE HAVE A BETTER WAY!"
  • dougrsmith
Adversity and Challenges are the fuel in the begining but personal development is the long term key. so today I am making 4 figures and shooting to be at 5 figures soon and then the sky is the limit
  • fc34615
If we fail at the pivotal task of developing ourselves, we can not expect to come across as truthful and believable when we share our passion for our industry to our list of prospects.
    My best,
    Fernando.
  • Another great ending to a great interview with Dan Catto. Didn't know he was formerly from Canada. Cool!
As he says Personal Development is so critical to master in our industry. Personally I can't get enough of it.
Reminds me of another one of Jim Rohn's quotes -"work harder on yourself than you do on your business".
    Thanks for this great interview.
  • Lisette
I´m looking forward to the journey, of my personal development.
It can´t be sad enough times.....the only thing you can change is yourself.

    Tanks Eric for this opportunity!
  • enrique62
Personal development is a daily habit
  • magnelordahl
Thanks again for such a great interview with Dan Catto. Personal development is very important. You will not advance in your business if you do not fill in with knowledge. So now I put up a plan where I want to read about the MLM minimum of 60 minutes each day. Thanks for all your inspirational videos.
  • pech
Thanks to Dan and Eric for a great interview. And congratulations to all who have accepted the 100 show commenting challenge. It is a part of our personal development.
  • lorijones
This was a great interview, each day inspired me to do more to develop my skills and today I'm going to commit to read a personal development book everyday! Thanks Eric & Dan! Lori
  • First let me say that I love the category bar you've added to the left - thanks Eric!

The longer I'm involved in NWM, the more I realize that it's really a personal development journey disguised as a business opportunity. I'm SO thankful to this industry for introducing me to the concept of self growth and improvement ...

    Best to you,
    Scott
  • Thanks for this amazing say.
"it's really a personal development journey disguised as a business opportunity"
    So accurate.
  • You're welcome, Eytan! Yes, it is very true my friend ....
  • It all comes down to developing the habit of the daily activities (i.e. speaking to someone every day about the product and opportunity as well as personal development, etc).

Thanks for this one Danno :-)
  • Thanks for the assurance that it's OK to read self-help books voraciously! I sometimes feel guilty when I lose myself in all my readings, but I guess it's one of the common habits of great network marketing professionals. The idea on doing the "deal" daily (or else you lose focus) is also quite valuable!
  • I appreciate the humbleness of the (as John Maxwell would say) two incomplete leaders. Both of you know your strengths and weaknesses and are kind to tell us all about them. You're not sitting on amountaintop teling us about the view, you are showing us the path that we can chiose to take. When I hear that successfull people are adamant about continuing self improvement, that is inspirational.
    Thank you.
    Keep smiling!
  • drkay
This was great. I see that this is a simple, not easy, system which when plugged into will reap benefits far beyond what any spectator can see. I was shocked to hear Dan say that the one who makes $100,00 a year has put his focus on personal development. Anyone below that point thinks they don't need it... can do it on their own, their own way. Boy, I see that. I have done that. But now that I have been "exposed", I am committing to that process of reading, listening and applying the training I get to get to that first 6-figure level... then who knows. I look forward to needing a new motivation after reaching my first serious goal. Thank you again. And thanks to Dan Catto fort the first of many challenges.

    Eric-

I swear, you should take all of these success stories, compile them, and make them into an audiobook so I can listen to them while I'm driving!
  • I have been working on my personal development for many years now even when I wasn't with this industry. While I think reading the information is important, studying it will be more effective in your career. That is why Dan is listening to the Greatest Secret again and again. Repetition is key.
  • This is why I love what you are doing with the 100 episode challenge... this helps everybody staying on focus in their daily efforts to build their business.

    Thanks again Dan and Eric!

    Cheers,
    Brian
  • daddykekere
Thanks Eric especially for summarizing the whole matter in just a few minutes. for me personally this has been the best show so far. Thanks for all you do.
  • Personal Developement is Critical in Success! However I listened and read for many years and didn't go very far until I really started reading and understanding WHAT I was Reading & listening to. Success now comes much, much faster.LOL Thanks Eric,
I am a Netrwork Marketing Professional.
  • raybeattie
Work on yourself to grow your business, great point. Also loved the one about thinking we know how to do the business better than the truly successful ones, seven figure earners. I been there, done that.

    Personal development is everything!
  • brigittapatel
    Personal development is everything and
never ever stop working on yourself.

    Thanks a million!
  • cristiansolari
Personal development is a fundamental part of this business. It make sense. And of course doing the job, geting the oportunity to the people.
  • "Working on your self harder than you work on anything else really diligently you will get there".....new regime for 2010....invaluable, thank you !
  • gkamlm
Great series Eric, thanks to Dan for the nuggets and reminder of sticking to the basics.
  • Some additional important pieces to the becoming successful, personal development and keeping motivated and inspired. I have found this to be true in my past expereinces. I have also found that it is true that "time will either promote or expose you". What I put in is what I will get out, I plan to put in 110% or more and I know I will receive that and more in return.
  • ybimbalanced
This is a great interview, I'm looking forward to seeing it all tomorrow! But I have to admit, that I'm getting just about as much out of the responses as I am out of the interview. It's great to read through some and see what everyone finds most interesting. Thanks!
  • Wow nice conference.
I agree, the people and information you take in on a day to day basis, will turn you into the person that you will become.
  • Never take a day off, so to speak. Work, work, work. Repeat, repeat and repeat and you will succeed!? It sounds reasonable ....
  • roberthirabayashi
While putting out road signs, I saw another road sign, obviously advertising a network marketing business. Called the number to listen to the recorded message but didn't leave a message. The lady called me back and I told her I was in network marketing and was interested in connecting with a like-minded individual. I asked what company she represented, but she REPEATEDLY REFUSED TO TELL ME!

I don't care how many other things you are doing right, but if you refuse to tell someone the name of the company you are representing, you are degrading yourself and your company. If there is any reason to hide what company you represent, maybe you should find another company.
  • clairecameron
What a great business... to have the opportunity to connect with people like you two. And what a blessing to live in this age of communication technology. So many more possibilities for connection. I remind myself though not to forget the good old face to face, eyeball to eyeball in person connection that is so important. I am looking forward to being a fly on the wall to your whole conversation tomorrow.
  • yuvalcohen
    Hello Eric.
Interest rate, Personal development is important to lead a large organization
  • Part of my self development is watching these shows - Thanks for the great content!
  • Leaders are Readers. Thank you for sharing. Successful people work on themselves harder than anything else. Easier said than done and that's what makes it so rewarding.

    The simple disciplines..got it.

  • lew hendricks
Personal growth can help in every area of your life, not just within your network marketing career. I'm trying to get my message, and product, in front of someone everyday. Great piece of advise.
  • While I've always believed in personal growth, I never full realized how crucial it is as a network marketing professional.

The more I read and learn, the more I love how I am evolving and changing. Honestly? If anybody would have told me 10 year ago, that I'd be doing this now, I would have said they were crazy.
  • Vange01
Great interview and really important is as you mention personal development because it will help you in everything.
  • joelgoins
Eric...already beginning to experience the benefit of being "plugged" in each and every day. I look forward to the personal exponential growth that's going to occur...thanks for all that you have put together for us...God Bless!!
  • Nice to see ~30% didn't quit yet.
  • Arnold Thompson
I've always known that personal development is very important and have never really done much for myself in that area. This year is the year in which that changes, I have already signed up for the The Jim Rohn One-Year Success Plan and can't wait to see how much I grow over the course of this year. Believe it or not I had never heard of Jim Rohn until I started watching this online show. I have looked up a few things online, heard some of his recorded speeches and read some of his written teaching, just the little that I have seen and heard so far has helped me, everyday teaching is going to have such an impact on me that I probably won't recognize myself at the end of this year. I am dedicated and determined to making 2010 my absolute best year ever!!
  • nancyeldred
... IT'S A STONE COLD FACT ERIC ~ YOU, HAVE A SUPERB SHOW
  • ericworre
Haha thanks! Working on getting better!
  • deniseschnitzer
Whoo hoo!!! That interview was awesome. I love the way you bounce off each other. The points I will internalize are: simplicity, promote (products, opportunity, events), personal development, and share all of this DAILY. I'd like to add one more mantra that I learned in school: Per Aspera Ad Astra, Reach for the Stars. Thank you, Eric & Dan!!
  • Bjorgli
I do appreciate what you say, although I do'nt agree in everything. That's probably the reason I'am at my level. So I am listening and learning.
  • Personal growth and development are crucial to NM success. You need a steady diet of growth information. NM Leaders have libraries of personal growth information. Time will either expose you or promote you. Once you achieve NM success, you'll need to find other motivators besides money.

"Nothing will ever be attempted, if all possible

  • shawncyr
Personal development...yeah baby! I think what I'm going to do is follow the repetition model. I am going to find a handful of books that are going to motivate me and the ones that will give me the skills I need to succeed.
So, here's my list, and I'm sure it will change as I change.
How to Win Friends and Influence People
    The Magic of Thinking Big
    Over The Top
    Think and Grow Rich
    Endless Referrals
    12 Pillars
    Richest Man in Babylon
    The Compassionate Samurai

    Any suggestions would be wonderful.
  • georgeman
The personal development I have acquired through Network Marketing has helped me make the right decisions in and out of the industry. I used to be a one man show(I have a conventional business), wearing many hats, and having a huge ego and extreme pride in doing it all on my own. Personal development gave me a reality check, a little too late I must add, almost going broke in the enlightenment process. You guys are right on, and I'm proud(in a good way) to be involved in this network. Thank You.
  • JudasPierce
this was great to watch today.
  • mrmauriocrawford
Hi Eric & the rest of the NMPRO community,

This was really great! I've learned so much in the last few days. Isnt it funny...Most of us always want to get insights from the heavy hitters/large income earners, yet thru nmpro we have access to that and so much more.

This business is all about gaining the skills & keeping the correct mindset consistantly. I'm so excited by nmpro.

Key Point: "Great sailors were never created in calm waters." WHOA

I wonder how long it wouldve taken me to learn this if I hadnt decided to join in w/ the 100 Show Challenge.

Hey team...."Nothing just happens" there is a much bigger gift in this challenge than we think!

    Thanks Eric,

    Til tomorrow.....
  • dawnmarielagmay
    Aloha Eric,
Its funny, you can hear something a number of times, but it doesnt really sink in until you hear it one more time and when you do, it becomes an AHA moment. What makes this so funny is that although I know this because it has happened to me a number of times, I do not believe that I truly allowed it to be an AHA moment until today when I was listening to you and Dan discuss Personal Development and the fact that he mentioned he was still listening to the same audio he has always listened to and you then mentioned that some people believe that they are personally developed. WOW, I have continued to seek out new authors/motivational speakers, etc. and perhaps could save a lot of time and energy and read and reread the books I have been collecting and listen to the POWERFUL cds, dvds, etc. that I already have and then rather than spending so much time on a new search, listen to those who are making things happen and the personal development tools that they recommend and follow those lead! :)
  • onemartymac
Things changed for me... when I changed me.

Personal Development is huge! Focus on becoming a well rounded person and a better person and things will change.

    Thanks for everything, Great work
    Marty
  • Good message. Surrounding ourselves with other good people. Those that want it as we do. It is okay to surround yourself with people as good or better than you.
  • TAbrams
Until I became involved in this industry I thought was was working on developing myself - however this industry changed my perception and has made me a much better, all rounded person.

As Dan stated "Personal Development is Everything"!! I truly believe that in this industry that the majority of all of our businesses are a "Personal Development Program, with a comp plan attached". It is so true that you must be consistent if your efforts and put yourself and educate your team to get on a regular schedule as this creates routine and after a while it will become second nature.

When working on your personal development program I believe you ned to focus in on 8 core areas of your life and if you continually better yourself and personally grow in these areas you will be successful not only in your business but your overall life.

    The 8 areas are:
    1) Physical, 2) Financial, 3) Business, 4) Lifestyle, 5) Mental, 6) Spiritual, 7) Family, 8) Relationships
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
I came to MLM to get out of my 25 year old routine.
I stayed because of the new direction it gave to my life.
I cannot have enough of the personal growth side of it.
I have adopted some few of the "developers" to re-parent me.
  • ericworre
    Absolutely love this
  • BobbyRay
Circle of influence. It makes sense!! Thanks for the interview Dan.
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Excelent Interview This is a business and we have to do it every day¡¡¡

    Saludos.
  • Just watching and listening to you and Dan leaves me feeling energized and more sure than ever that I have found THE way to create a better life for myself and family. Thanks so much!
  • Eric and Dan such enthusiasm and energy come from you both we can't help but cagth it. Not until I joined this industry did I encounter personal development. Why isn't it taught in schools when it is the bedrock of our lives.
Dan I liked: "Great Sailors are not created from calm water." Thanks for sharing you stormy seas with us.

We must invest inyour life to ive your life and share your life with others.
  • JeffLaChappell
Great interview, personal development makes all the difference in the world! We have to rewind and replace all that negitive programing that was recorded on our brains early on in life!
  • Its amazing to read all of the comments on this site. Everyone sees the same information and each person has their own take. That is what makes this industry so great, we can all learn from one another. Surround yourself with those who have what you want and learn from them.
  • germanjaramillo
Well, self development, listen every day an audio, read a book, and stay out of the negative thougts are one of the basics more important to earn one million dolar in our MLM profession.

    Have all a great day.

  • kayanita
AND, the legacy of Jim Rohn still teaching all of us! It is amazing that we hear his words thru you and Dan,
All leaders are using personal development, it is curious that so many distributors think they don't need that part!

  • Denise Cox
wow! i was totally onto something when i made my comment yesterday! looked into that book he mentioned. love it! can't wait to hear the whole thing uncut!

    Go Pro! Happy New Year!
  • This is my favorite excerpt in this series. What a blessing to have access to you guys anytime through this resource. Thank you again.
  • Personal development has not only changed my business but has changed my life! Thanks eric.
  • timandtricia
Thanks for the reminder. As both of you talked I realized that "personal development" is a lot more than just listening to CDs, reading books and watching DVDs although those are hugely important. The real key is developing the mindset and belief in abundance, prosperity and a desire to make someone's life better. What we think is everything. Garbage in...Garbage out!
  • marycalvillo
Personal development is without a doubt one of the main reasons I am in this business!
  • Eileen
Somehow last comment I made went in as a guest. I am registered. Thanks again...
  • I want to tell you once more that I thank you, Eric, for the great opportunity to have this so nice and amazing guy called Dan Catto here to give us such a great coaching...!!! I thank both of you. You know, I just love Dan and the way he talks...he is simple and humble, serious and nice and I am sure that those are some of his most important qualities for his great success in network marketing and in his life. Congratulations to you, Dan!
  • Eileen
Thank you for keeping me inspired. The darkest hour is just before dawn. Keep focused.....
  • tommycone
Thanks for the work you are doing. I need Personal Development in my life. my goal is to spend 30 min a day reading, look at vidoes, or listin to CDs. Thanks Eric your show is great.
  • BGivan
Isn't it funny how most businesses don't promote personal development and their workers hate their job? Thanks to Network Marketing, I'm constantly reminded to read and watch inspiration. I liked Dan's quote "Time will either expose or promote you" and the thing is - we decide. Thanks
  • chriskemp817
Personal development is everything. What you are doing Eric is tremendous. Daily nuggets of information, hope, motivation, etc. Thank you.
  • mariasiro
It is so true that personal development is everything. Thank's again for the show
  • Great Interview, thank you Eric and Dan, yes, personal development is main in order to success in our business, i agree that, but as we do our business seriously, we will get it automatically as we talking to people and talking to people, am i right?, but if we need to succeed in this industry, that is not enough, we have to attend seminars, company events, read lots of inspirational and motivational, personal development books ie, Think and Grow Rich, The Magic of Thinking Big, The Essence of Leadership, Jeffrey Gitomer's The Little Gold Book of YES attitude, How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, The Success Principles of JAck Canfield Plus Randy Cage's " How to Build a Multi-level Money Machine, etc. Once again thank you for this wonderful interview, wait to watch the full video tomorrow, I love you...........
  • Jessi
What you put in is what is going to come out! Personal development is everything.
  • excellent interview. Thanks guys
  • Personal development is key for every person on this planet! Not just network marketers. If you don't know how to start....read a book, find a mastermind group on facebook, talk to other people and ask what they do. Just do something. This was awesome Eric. Thank you again!
  • It is everything. I learned on a call last night that if one does not work on their self, they will not get very far in this industry. Jim Rohn has so many quotes about this in his lessons on personal development, and it takes time to sharpen and polish that rusty axe to be a network marketing professional.

I certainly appreciate what you do Eric because I know that you are big on personal development--mindsets and attitudes. And it is true that one has that mindset regardless if broke or struggling to make ends meet.

Eric, thanks for keeping it going and being a resource for personal development,

    David
  • Mark Dickson
Great interview. Personal Dev. ie books and tapes is what keeps me in this industry. Keeps my hope alive for a better life.

    Hi Erice

    I AM A PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT FREAK !!!!!!

What can i say more than just say i agree 10000...%
with what you and Dan just say.

Our mind is like the a garden like James Allen say.
Weeds don't ask to grow and you do not buy them
at the flower Shop but you need to do some work
to put flowers in the ground, just like your negative
thoughts they run on the Auto pilot and if you do
not take control over it they will take over and make a
    big mess.

love to talk to you one day to show you what i did put together
to help the world with what you and dan just talk about.

    Regards

  • rebeccaharms
I look forward to this daily inspiration/motivation. Thank you, gentlemen, for your presentation.
"Taking it to heart" (mind and soul) truly runs parallel with "taking it to the streets" (providing the opportunity). Persistent personal development, feeeding the mind and soul, will boost me to the next level . 'Til tomorrow
  • Connor J McDonald
Personal Development is so important! I always watch about 3 personal development videos and I always read one of the 5 new books I have and once I am done with a book, I go out and buy a new one so I consistently have 5 new books to read and I am just watching my library, and myself, grow!
  • chipc
Thanks. I needed to be reminded to get back to personal development.
  • rmonte
The interview confirms once again what you taught us in the webinar. I have heard this info for years and have done it without consistancy. Ever since the webinar, it finally "CLICKED" with clarity. This is a must and it is non-negotiable if we want an amazing life! Since Dec 16th I have been reading every day and my hunger for it just keeps growing. As I do that my focus increases inspite of challanges. Thank you Eric.

  • jayvannostrand
great interview Eric...Dan is awesome...you've both put a lot in perspective! Thanks to both of you!!
  • I have learned more about the importance of personal development since coming into this industry than at any other time in my life....
  • billrogers
Great segment. Reinforces what I learned a long time ago about personal development. Stay focused on personal development every day, all day. Build your library and utilize it over and over.
Thanks Eric and Dan for sharing.
  • barryburgin77
Being new to the industry, I had not heard of Dan Catto until this series. Thanks, Eric. Regarding personal development, if I could only access the teaching/mentoring of one person to help me, who would that be?
  • Okay Dan & Eric, you hav shown me the way. Here I come! / Linda, Sweden
  • WOW! Know what... I REALLY need to work more on myself. Tomorrow will start on all those Jan Ruhe's book which I had yet to touch.
  • cmattern
Thank you for this 100 day challenge. Great stuff. My previous (25 yrs.. 40, 40, 40 plan) they wouldn't have cared if I came to work with spittle dribbling down my chin as long as I showed up. I LOVE this about MLM, that every leader in my company promotes personal growth. A huge improvement from the masses and what we are taught to expect in life. Wish I had been exposed to this thirty years ago. At any rate, in reading (the right things) and subscribing to 'automobile university', in a relatively short time, I am noticing a big difference in my thinking and actions. Thank you MLM.
  • Sounds like Personal Development is everything, got to be listening to the tapes! I have got to be doing it everyday.

Looking forward to tomorrow's full show.
  • The importance of taking care of your "Network Marketing Soul" is what I got out of this talk. This emphasizes both the importance of maintaining positive associations as well as personal development.

Optimizing your associations is important because our best friends, co-workers, and family often themselves are inconvenienced in their own mind by simply by our getting into this business. They often do not encourage us to become the best people we can possibly become in MLM.

Self-Development is important because the modern world in GENERAL does not encourage us to be the strongest, most powerful, most independent people we can possibly be. Everything we encounter in the marketing sphere and the corporate sphere encourages us to serve the interests of some other group or some employer. If we do nothing active to determine what kind of people we are to be, we will eventually decay right back to being the loyal servant of an organization and be incapable of achieving the personal power required to determine our own fate and destiny.
  • Maxwellhealth
An ah-ha but also common sense when we stop and think about it.....Personal Development/Growth takes on an even bigger dynamic the more successful we become...new levels of achievment demand increased attention to training and putting it into practice...Thanks guys!!
  • andreas
    good stuff eric and dan!
  • bartonmurray
great points, library is key, put the TV in the closet!
  • gabor73
    Hi Eric,

Personal Development is easier when you team up with some one, or in a 3-5 people group :)
  • wconsult
A daily dose of personal development will increase your income level. To hear that one of the biggest differences between those that are earning 100k plus per year is their commitment to personal development. Great message!!!
  • gmeyerson
Great show, I enjoyed it very much. After a very inspiring event in November 2009 by my company and your webinar on making 2010 the best year ever, I have completely changed my method of operation and focused on personal growth, actually I call it "brain washing myself into right thinking". It has already made a difference in my business and look forward to an incredibly successful 2010 and beyond.
  • Thank you, Eric, for all that you give. You are making a difference for so many people out there, searching for someone to share the core concepts and help them build their MLM foundations.
  • There is no other profession as good for the personal growth as a network marketer.

Looking back when I started my mlm career I understand that most of all I was attracted by the opportunity of personal development, subconnsciously of course.
I loved the idea of getting residual income and I wanted the lifestyle of wealthy people but my subconscious knew better what I needed - to work on my personality.

    Thank you Eric and Dan.
  • jerryscribner
    Great content!
  • dstfa96
what I got most from this episode was to achieve success you have to work on developing yourself everyday, but it doesn't stop there. Once you achieve success you have to work on yourself the most. I think one of the best things in our profession of network marketing is personal development. I am looking forward to reaching that success point where I have to work on myself even more than I do now.
  • Simple discliplines repeated over time - every day. Personal development is one of those simple disciplines. It makes all the difference in the world. Just do it. Thanks for all you do.
  • Jeroen Lingier
So what do I remember out of todays show?
Listen, watch and read personal development. your brain is as a garden. It will always bring forth. If tended well, it can bear fruit en such. If you don't work in it, it will bring forth weeds.
Wasn't it Jim rohns gardners tale, where he mentioned a traveller complimenting a gardner by saying: You and God have made this into a beautiful garden. The gardner then replyed: You should have seen it when He had it all to himself. :-)
6 and 7 figure people do personal development every day, and even they still learn from it.
    thank you, Eric and Dan.

Boy, just the one nugget out of many I needed for the day.."simple disciplines vs simple bad judgment"..I moved recently and in purchasing new home made sure there was room for "library"..separate from everything and all my books would fit into it..that is a New Simple Discipline for me!! I was not much of reader before network marketing!!

Thank you for an awesome journey so far, Eric
  • Athletes4Health
Sharing the product and opportunity everyday is the key thought I got from this segment. Personal Development is very important, I agree, but retailing and recruiting and how we get paid.
  • I'm a HUGE fan of personal development (it's why I'm in the company I'm in).
I like the lesson about doing something every day.
I really loved these shows Eric. Can't wait to see the whole thing tomorrow.
    Awesome!
  • jlconner
Eric: Again I am reminded of the simple fundametals for success. The number one being work on yourself. Thanks Dan and Eric for what you do for our industry.
  • garyparmenter
For me, it is so true! Network marketing, at every turn, exposes a need for personal growth. Eric, thank you for NMP to aid us in that growth.
  • Nancy
Loved this segment. It reinforced that I am doing the right thing. I listen/watch/read all the personal development stuff that I can. I have a long way to go and if it were not for my daily dose, I probably would have given up already. Thanks Eric and Dan for this great interview. Am anxious to see it in its entirety.
  • I'm still confused about working on myself.
I am reading books from those who are making 6+.
    I utilize what I've read.

    Is there anything more?
My company does have a Mastermind Group, but (embarrass) I don't always attend.
I feel that there is something else out there that I need to do.
  • carolbarrett
    Hi Jayne,

I'm not an expert but I do follow those in this industry who are very successful. One name seems to always be a part of those successful people. And that name is, Jim Rohn. If you can get your hands on anything that Jim has done it will get you started on the right path. For me reading what Jim has produced is great but I really enjoy listening to Jim talk. If you visit the Jim Rohn website they have a few audios which you could check out. Just a thought.
  • Thank you Carol.
I am a subscriber of Jim Rohn's newsletters.

The hard part of Personal Development is the personal part... :)
  • dlinkhart
Great session! It is a continuous process and is the best part of NWM. It can change our lives in so many ways, all for the good. Thanks!
  • I know Personal Development is everything, but I just can't seem to find the time to work on it.
I get carried away with work and talking with my clients.
  • Jeroen Lingier
    Hi,

how about audio material? You can turn your car into your greatest library and make driving a usefull time. There are online audio recorders, so you can tape some of Erics shows and listen to them on a mp3- player. Hope this can help you.
About the time issue: you have to work harder on yourself than you do on your job, Jim Rohn once said. I know it's easier said than done, but to become a leader you need to do more than the others.
    Greetings,
    Jeroen from Belgium
  • Thank you Jeroen. Good idea!
As for my self-development, I would like to spend somewhere around 15-20 minutes in the morning to pray, meditate, reflect. But I don't do it. I'll walk quietly around the house and reflect on what I need to do then I go straight to work. I'm feeling that this is helping me somewhat in my business.
It is. I'm accomplishing what needs to be done at the end of the day.
I think what's stopping me is my own self-discipline.
I need to work on that more.
  • sbratt
Personal Development is as important to eating or sleeping!!!! Even more!!

I am into personal development...its key to growing and becoming the best person you can be in life. If you stop learning your dead. We must always keep learning period...
  • PaulineP
Positive reinforcement. I looked over my notes from yesterday and journalled them....this is food for development and success....I am passing this gem of an interview to some I know who are not in networking, but who would find value in the message. Thanks.
  • The common thread I glean from every mentor, expert, and top earner is to read, to listen to personal development information, and to surround yourself with positive, successful people. "See a path for yourself. Work on yourself harder than on anything, really diligently, and you'll get there." Thanks Eric and Dan!
  • kristibateman
I am BIG on Personal Development...I KNOW I am far from being the person I wish to be and I need to work on this everyday. Thank you Eric
  • Amazing interview!!

I am so poor in having study diet!! But now I have realized that in order to have a fast personal development, I must work harder and should have study diet.

    Thanks

What you're saying is that this profession is no different than any other profession where people are successful and moved beyond their peers.

    THE CLEAN SMILES

One of the must important things that I can resume from this 4 past episodes, are the Clean Smiles of Dan and Eric, that shows me that even they are great achievers in MLM and in Life, they have no posture of "semi gods", I know many people that earns one tenth of what they make and allways looks down to the rest of the humans. And other thing, they are willing to share what they know, that is great too.
Thank you guys for this marvelous posts.

  • anitagwheeler
Loved it! It IS an "inside" job. We always get back what we put our energy, attention and focus toward (both positively and negatively). Personal development is a cornerstone of living our lives to the fullest and you and Dan hit the nail on the head! Thanks.....
  • Thank you for all of the great information shared in this interview. Time to get more consistent with the personal development instead of here and there.
  • Vern Trabue
An absolute great interview! The bottom line, self-development is a big part of success in this industry.

    Thanks Eric!
  • bdsfortune
keeping motivation , BURNING desire and consistency will lead to success even if you dont see results now. have to keep sowing seeds! Great work you guys!

My 1st passion in life is coaching. One of the things I have benefited from the most in network marketing is the personal development. It applies to all areas of life. Not only has my business grown, but I have become a better husband and a coach as well. It is vital to stay committed to personal development.
  • Liesbeth
Yes, As for me, Paul Mckenna over and over, Succes for Life, and Richard Bandler, personal enhancement, to get rid of limiting beliefs and be in shape mentally, lately also more cognitive, Jim Rohn, Kijosaki, Napoleon Hill. Why you're dumb, sick and broke, during Holidays
  • Great info! Thanks Dan and Eric for such an informative interview!
  • great tip from this episode: feed yourself a steady diet of personal development.

Yo Eric, what happened to the QOTD?
  • Goldie
i need to continue improving my skills - thanks for your help! I really enjoy your interviews.

This was a great interview.. "great sailors were never created in calms waters"... love it. I'm looking for the ruff seas!!
  • conniegleave
The need to keep improving skill sets and to learn everything you can in order to do your job better than the next guy is a 'given' in any other profession.

If success and leadership is the goal, then the Network Marketing Industry is no different. Anyone who doesn't believe that working harder on yourself than you do on your business has no pay-off, is delusional.

My problem: I have too many books 'going' at the same time and more-often-than-not I find it difficult to make it to the end of the book before starting another one. I dare you to try and keep me off Amazon!!

I suppose there are some benefits to skipping around though. If someone mentions a name like John C. Maxwell or Stephen Covey (or whoever), at least I'm familiar with who they are. Don't you just hate that deer-in-the-headlights look?? :)

    Thanks again...Stay Warm!
  • Steve_Nelson
I listen to The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightengale often and it makes it all the better to know that you and Dan and obviously lots of others listen to it as well. Is there another one with Napolean Hill that I maybe haven't heard yet? I'll look for one but will somebody let me know the Titile if you know. Have a great day everyone
  • Steve,

you can head over to the official nightingale website and check out everything he has. In addition to The Strangest Secret, I also have Lead The Field.
  • Great information, ideas and discussion. Keep it coming! "Great sailors were never created in calm waters." As crazy as this may sound this is a comforting statement.
  • coltsco
I love the emphasis on personal development. I'm older than both of you and continue to work on it daily. Thanks for the great interview with Dan.
  • coltsco
I love the emphasis on personal development. I'm older than both of you and still work daily on personal development. Thanks for the great interview with Dan.
  • breynolds
    Eric,
I am completely in agreement with personal development being a discipline in your life that you must commit to daily. People need to find something that they commit to, whether it be a tape, a blog, a book, or your awesome show. Thanks for adding another way for us to improve ourselves daily!
  • pollyhulseman
Consistency is key - so true that missing one day of the business, you don't notice, but missing two. . . three and your business stumbles.
  • Marion
Thanks, this has been a great interview.
I agree that Personal Development is key and I am really working on it.
I never used to read these books before, I wish I had started earlier!
  • gmolina
    Eric,
Thanks for Bringing Dan on your show, he is a true and genuine person to listen to. What I took from this whole series was to always be committed in what you do, stick with the basics, use the 3 core fundamentals, duplication, surround yourself with like minded people, and get the word out about your product. If Ive learned nothing else but this on your show it was well worth my time.. Looking forward to tomorrow..
  • Completely agreed. This is perfect.
  • NMPro has become such an integral part of my "daily personal development program"

Thanks Eric and Dan <--- "2 Thumbs Up"!!

    Hi Eric,
    I got it.
When I get to the 6 figures a monthly income, I'll remember, I'll need to keep on, I'll give back and I will take this proffesion pass this tipping point.
    I got it.
    Thank you Eric
  • turjcxg
I decided that this year, instead of making resolutions that I would just pick a few, important habits to change. This is one of them. I started by scheduling 30 minutes of Pers Dev early in the morning before my kids wake up. So I write it in my planner as if it were an appointment that I had to attend. That's helped a lot to reinforce this habit.

Thank you Eric for this incredible website and your investment in us!
  • smreed
Great episode, "Personal development is everthing"! It has to be on your menu everyday. Otherwise, limited to no personal development = limited to no ability to succeed = no ability to become a lasting leader. Can't wait to see the balance of the interview tomorrow!
  • I'm with you on all the Personal Growth and Development library of "cassette tapes!" How to convert...? Such great wisdom and "Simple disciplines repeated over time =Success" AND "Simple errors in judgement over time=Failure" -profound wisdom...

"Who we surround ourselves with AND What we surround ourselves with is what really determines our level of success in our life"-oh yes! What we put in determines what come out!
  • Episode 5 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Challenge/ Throw Down

Morning Eric and Dan. Were having a mini blizzard here in Indiana today with nearly whiteout conditions and steady heavy snow, But I am out and about meeting people and sharing the opportunity as I GO PRO in 2010.

This episode may be the best of this series. I am book marking this one for future reinforcement. Thanks for all you two do to promote our industry. I think Hans hit the major points in his post that I would bring up in this episode.

  • carybennett
So True, Very good stuff looking forward to listening to the full one soon. Really hits home for me as I am on a Huge mission to grow personally and inspire my team and people i come into contact with, Again Thank you Eric for doing this daily and keeping it generic for all of us to use and Grow. You will be rewarded most greatly for this and inspire many more than you can imagine for years to come through this info. Again thank you.. God Bless
  • Who is the next person you are going to interview?
  • yep, mental growth happens before financial growth. good stuff!
  • Personal development is huge! If I am not plugged in to CD's on a daily basis i seem to go sideways or backwards.

My favorite is Jim Rohn. May he RIP.
  • Great subject and I agree to reading and re reading all the good books again and again for the same reason, the see the subject from a different perspective eventually creating a 3D Image in our mind on the subject. A comment on the interaction between you. The voice of one cuts off the other when discussion is going on breaking up the comments and making it hard to understand. I suggest we remember out of many of the books, listen and don't step on the words of others, or turn off speaker phone which cuts in and out when you talk muting the one currently speaking... :^)
  • Tarashon Broomes
i know personal development plays a very important role in your growth and success in network marketing but Dan is very right it is everything. great shape in network marketing is working your business everyday... its easy to know when people are out of shape in your business, by things they say or do..the little things you do will all add up and get you the outcome you are looking for. I like the point that Dan mentioned when he said when you reach success that's when you have to work on yourself the most, so personal development is an on going thing it does not stop once you reach your success...adversity and challenges is just lessons for you to learn from... great stuff
  • drmikempa
Goals and personal development, two of the most important, yet misunderstood keys to success.
  • Even though he said, pretty much, the same things you and other experts have said, it was refreshing to listen to Dan and I took notes. I have listened to some of Jim Rhon's videos but, and I cannot pinpoint why, I embraced the info better when Dan quoted him. I hope you get to interview him again because I have a feeling you did not want him to say everything he had to say. As a matter of fact, you took over the whole last 5 minutes. Did you do that on purpose because I had the feeling he wanted to say more... I know I am hungry for more: Congrats, I'am all ears!
  • bartar20
Thanks again, I have made a commitment to read a personal development book every day, I will read a couple of chapters every day until I finish, then move onto a new one, Personal development is so important, thanks for making that point.

    Barry
  • Matt Genet
Looking forward to watching the whole interview. That smile on Dan's face the whole interview is priceless.

Favorite line was "Time will either expose you or promote you." Share product and opportunity every day.

Also when you said that some people think they can develop themselves once and never do it again. That was me when I was in my early twenties. I discovered personal development, made some improvements in my life and then never touched the stuff again for 10 years. Oops! BIIIIG Mistake on my part. Keep the wisdom flowing.
  • Dee_Canada
Again...great interview piece. I'm anxious for the full meal deal tomorrow!
As for today's message, I can honestly say that the personal development part is SOOO easy to skip and clearly I can't deny after hearing about it over and over and over and over again....it must be a significant component in the success formula!! DOH!! I'm slow...and stubborn. (News to nobody who knows me-LOL)

I also like the analogy (I do love analogies it seems) that it is just like your physical, or spiritual life...or your relationships...in that you can neglect it for a day and not see a difference...but as each day goes by...the effect amplifies in either a positive, or negative direction. The choice, a always, is mine to make. Where to invest??? You've always told me...now I have to act on it!!
  • Personal Development/Growth = EVERYTHING.....>>>>> Forever

I think in aphorisms... Time will promote you OR expose you. It is such a delight to watch you two dance.
  • carolbarrett
Wow, this really hit home for me. I'm struggling right now and I know it's because of lack in the personal development area. However, I made a commitment three years ago when I joined this great profession to stay in it until "I get it". This website has been a great source for me in the personal development area and it is great to have a place to go to grow and learn and become a professional. I can't wait to see the entire episode tomorrow. Thanks Eric and Dan.
  • connietolton
Thanks Eric, you make it as easy as it is. Looking forward to hearing more

Personal developement is key. That is why two people doing the same thing can get completely different results. It is not what you do, it is who you are while you are doing it. Thanks for the reminder and the good work you are doing. Take care.
  • Hans
Some things that stood out to me:....Pers devpt is everything...The greatest secret in the world (Napolean Hill)...Big libraries...Excercise your "Networking Soul" like you do your body in the Gym....Share product+opp everyday...when you reach success that's when you gotta work at yourself the most (interesting and very confronting statement)...how to motivate the motivator...great sailors were never created in calm waters...."BROKE = Big Motivator"...challenges/obstacles??? embrace them!!!...always learning/always taking notes/always reading/always going to events/etc....building towards events...INVEST LIFE INTO LIFE!!!! I would love that line on my tombstone one day...for me to be known as somebody who spent his time investing his life into other peoples' lives.....I would love to leave that kinda legacy...Cheers, Hans!
  • jc13
I wonder what the people visiting your grave site will think when they read Invest Life Into Life on your headstone. Sweet and fitting maybe.
  • Hans
Well, you could decide to go there and ask people that question, since the site and stone are already there, but fortunately speaking, I myself am just not in it yet, neither will anybody find that text on the tombstone yet and if I keep up listening to all of the very good videos here, I might bump into some even better quotes to put on it, who knows....I'm definitely not to eager to reach that final destination any sooner then absolutely necessary though, so please don't hold your breath! ;-)
  • jc13
    Thanks Hans. Nice comment
  • The Greatest Secret in the World and the Scrolls was written by Og Mandino.. Another must read and a great way to develop discipline with personal development.
  • Hans
    Thanks for the pointer!
  • fredlund
A consistent statement from all of the top income earners in our industry. Great interview with Dan Catto which consistently reinforces the skills needed to be successful. Keep it coming.
  • Hai
Thanks Eric - Great start for the NEW YEAR 2010 interview with Dan!
To commit to post & watch your show each morning is also helping me have a routine and I am practicing one discipline consistently! I look forward to applying what you teach throughout the year as I am COMMITTED to personal growth/development on this journey with you! You're the Best!
  • nikigombis
One more to make sure I am in on the challenge. I don't mind hearing it over and over again. Looking forward to the new ones.
  • veronikakari
I think that be ablwe to try again and again is very important, although it is very frustrating at least from time to time.
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
People sometimes do not realize how important is to work in personal development. For me is the same as breathing. it never stop and is forever. For example listening to this interview is part of that learning
and I am totally agree that this is a path. I can see and more important is that I am already in that path
  • kgoren
Feed your networking soul. Comparing it to the discipline of working out daily. How true that is. Thanks for feeding our networking souls every day. What a great vehicle you have supplied us all for doing just that. We truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and insight. Using the power of the internet to do so is amazing.
  • feltricks
What an amazing way to begin my best year.
7 days working harder on myself than ever.
The goal will be look for a bigger motivation everyday, while I'll be growing everyday.
The most I grow, the most personal development must work on.
Thanks a lot guys, outstanding show.
  • Frankietay
I couldn't agree more with the two Pros that Working on Oneself or Personal Development is one of most important factors to succeed in the NM industry ..
  • Dave S
Simple Discipline repeated over time (share product & opportunity daily) equals success. Thank you Eric for your leadership. I've enjoyed the first 5 days and can't wait for the next 95. Roll on.
  • Jillian
Great interview - always amazing to see that the super successful still hammer those funndamentals and personal development...and most of us are looking for THE answer.

  • eddyoshaughnessy
All the top people have similar advice , another great interview , thanks .
  • Don Harrington
As a man thinketh, so is he... We become what we think about most. Our minds hold the key to our success. What we read, hear watch and who we associate with the most is what we become.
Also, show the product and recruit everyday.
    Thanks Eric and Dan
  • Excellent interview Eric
Can't waite for the rest of the challenge
  • cmattern
Way to go, Kevin. I like your attitude! :-)
  • Inger
It's great to hear the story behind the advice. I've noticed so much change in myself since I started with all THE selfdevelopment audiobooks and ready great books. It is very addictive :-)
  • This idea on having to motivate the motivators, are an interesting fact.
And the fact that being broke is a big motivator, well, that I truly understand.
    Great show.

    Love you all

Thank you for your time Eric

Just yesterday I decided to shift my thinking and enjoy the times I think of as "valleys". During these times is when I grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and helps me appreciate every angle of life. Thank you for reinforcing this today.
  • William M
Man, I really got a lot from this as usual . This interview Dan really brings it the concept home
of embrace the Journey. That's an area that I am working on, and will continue with the personal
development. Eric can't thank you enough!
  • Thanks! This has been a wonderful 4 days.
  • Gakungu
Reading books helps toughen the mind. In order to be successful in this business, you have to be coach-able, plug into meetings, and share what you have at every opportunity. Dan has done a great job stressing these points out.
  • lbusby4
Can't wait to watch the interview in its' entirety. Personal development was stressed as well as continued learning and reading. My upline leader says to read atleast 30 minutes every day, which is one of the areas I am dedicated to do in 2010 and beyond. Thanks to Dan for taking time out of his day to do the interview and thanks to Eric for all you do!
  • samdieli
Yes! what an awesome interview today! Listening and commenting on these short 5 to 10 minutes excerpt daily is part of working harder on yourself. I hope everyone who have been through 5 so far will continue to 100 and by then you would have done just that, working harder on yourself. Thanks Eric & Dan!
  • BobandPam
We need to become "students" of our personal development ....The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightengale is one of the most powerful audio tapes series on personal development!.
Pam and I are looking forward to the full interview! Thanks Eric for your contribution to our anticipated success!
  • It's so true, success like everything else in our lifes starts with our selfs.
  • bethascoli
One thing Dan said that really struck me was that "When you reach success, that's when you've got to work on yourself the most." I don't think I've heard anyone say that before, but it makes sense. I see a lot of people becoming complacent once they reach a certain level of income/success, instead of trying to develop themselves more.

Really looking forward to watching the whole interview tomorrow!

    Beth

    "Avoid failure by creating discipline".
Could be the subtitle for this episode!

Sharing the product and/or opportunity everyday. I liked the "gym analogy" Easy to do/ Easy not to do. There are phone calls to be made everyday which is easy to do. The problem is they are also easy not to do.

Talk about the product every day, Share the opportunity everyday. Discipline. Thank you for this episode.
  • Go heather GO .. There is a promised land. We WILL get there together
  • It's quite chilly here in the UK (I know it probably doesn't compare to Minneapolis) but as we are all jump starting each others cars Eric made a comment about "life to life". This made me think that coming to NetworkMarketingPro is so much like getting a jump start from a full battery and working on yourself through personal development is certainly the equivalent of keeping your battery charged up.

I have personally included NMPro in my personal development library as it offers so much 'real life' advice from experience. Thanks Eric and Dan, can't wait to watch the whole episode.
  • soxfan071
Some good reminders. I need to be in contact every day because I have what is known as a built in forgetter. Great interview. Thanks.
  • I appreciate how much Dan emphasized personal development. His comment, "It's like going to the gym" helped remind me of it's crucial importance. I paused the interview and went and bought the kindle edition of The Greatest Secret in the World. Looking forward to reading it.

this IS personal development. great interview !.
Thanks for helping us back on track making more time for reading and listening to the essential information.

    Hi Eric...
Thank you and thanks to Dan too. My vehicle is "dashboard university" and I am currently listening to a cassette tape series from Jim Rohn - which is awesome, and which I picked up at a book sale for 25 cents! 8 cassette series for 25 cents!!!!! It does not have to cost thousands to invest in your own personal development - best quarter I ever spent!
  • wouterdeprez
Absolutelely true! If I see how many people are watching hours of tv each evening, also in my network marketing team,... What would happen to these people if they would invest this time in reading and listen to audio's?? The first thing one should do when he comes into networkmarketing is throw the tv out of the window:) (I truely did!)
  • clickjt
This is great. I'm looking forward to watching the entire interview.
  • Danit
Cannot wait to see the 71 min interview. The first big event I attended was a turning point for me. I was introduce to the self development world and since than I only read and listen to materials that can help with my growth. Self development is one of the reasons I am so thankful to MLM profession.
  • I want to say thanks for the internet, because it allows us to be on the front row when two Masters of our profession speaks from their hearts. Mr Worre I'm waiting for the next tycoon you're gonna interview. This was an amazing show! Take good care and best regards from your biggest fan.

    Hi Team
I was locked in the "matrix" of corporate politics for 25 years. My best business decision of my life was when i joined a NM company, FREEDOM, i got my life back. That was 5 years ago now and then i started reading. "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill (is a must for all NMP, for all people for that matter), was the first book. Personal Development has changed my life completely.
As Eric says "we have a better way"
    Kind regards
    Peter Ragg

Dette må være det beste intervju du gjort Eric, fordi Dan har fått oss alle spesefic bompenger for å arbeide med.
    Takk for at dere begge.
