    Sounds very good.
I admit, I was not always that "in to" events.
Time to change and honor being coachable...
  • Elaine Baril
    "Promote... don't sell"
  • ViktoriaGuerin

  • travelprohawaii
Cool! I will promote, promote, promote!
  • rhhooker
Totally agree. Its kind of like you have to be the 30second commerical that gets people to see the hour long show!
  • MDungey
Thanks Eric, this makes so much sense.
  • Layla
Thanks Eric, I know I nead to learn to invite people to came meetings. :-)

  • granttomkins
unbelievable power in the 3rd party credibility
  • Right between the eyes. Such a simple message!
  • CINDYSU
I have a meeting coming up next wed and on the 29th. I will promote like crazy to those events and practice that skill.
  • karenandian
#216 One skill that we need to develop is to learn how to bring people to events!! Thank you Eric!
  • It has never been easy to bring people to events, especially new prospects. Do you have any advices ?
I will join the webinar, even it is night time for me.
  • ioana17
Great advice Eric, Thank you! It is not so easy for me to bring people to the meeting. Last person that I brought to a meeting it was so terrified about the idea of being a pyramid. He didn't know how to run faster and when we got there he was in the state tell me where to sign. Unfortunately this incident affected me. I have to clear this baggage because I didn't sign up a person since then.
  • if you duplicate things, i think it'll be easier to work with our core enrollies and have them work with theres ... etc. it'll be to much to work with 20-30-40 people. be there for help i would think.
  • i'm in my first ever MLM. i'm learning to become a network marketer from watching eric & listening to audio books.
  • i think the unemployment numbers will drop some more before it gets better.
  • i'd agree "meeting make money" because as you said, they get the bigger picture, cuts down on number of questions, lets them see your not the only one doing the business
  • chiatkhor
This is my second time listen to this clip. I am not sure if I wrote a comment the first time I listened to this clip, but I still find that I learn something new the second time I listen to. I really face problem in bringing people to events. I think I have to double up my speed to master this skill. Thanks, Eric.
  • Lotta
It is so true. Come just home from a big Event in Roma. WOW it was great.
  • Susan Peluso
I agree that you have to get people to events to have people sign up in your organization and make money. It hasn't been easy for me to get people to my events. I'm looking forward to your Webinr February 3rd.
  • John Boyd
Eric - that hurt! You just hit the nail on the head!!!
  • andreabyrge
I've seen the power in meetings and you have a better chance of closing your prospect if you bring them to a meeting. I don't think it should be their first exposure, but as a reinforcement to the groundwork you've laid. I'd like to know other's thoughts on whether you think having someone come to a meeting without having said much of anything else to them is a good idea.
  • ngocttk
It is certainly that meetings can create exciting atmosphere. Then, this atmosphere can create right attitude in everyone and leads all to the right actions. That’s why meetings make success. I do agree on this point. Thanks Eric for emphasizing the simple way to go!
  • conniegleave
I left on a golf vacation for a week and now that I'm home I am committed to catching up this morning with all the videos.

"Butts-in-the-seat"? From your lips to God's ears! Here's to learning that ONE SKILL that will help move my business forward in 2010.
  • gkamlm
Good reinforcement and you can be in front of so many more people at one time.
  • dannyscottlynn
Thanks ERIC for keeping us focused
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! I suck at promoting events and I want to become an expert on this. See you at the webinar!
  • BobbyRay
Looking forward for the 3rd. Thanks for the info. Get some butts in those seats!!
  • dougcollins
Thanks Eric, I've done alot of meetings in my time. I look forward to your webinar to get some new ideas!
  • Magdalena
    Thanks for this episode Eric.
  • crwood1967
I have heard this over and over! "Build to the next event" Oh how true! Keep up the great work!
  • Vonnita2010
This is what I need, and not just that but having the event, we are not having many here in Santa Cruz, Bolivia at least not yet!! we will soon. But yes something I need to focus on, because giving the presentation itself is one of my strongest points.
  • Social validation, faces to names, and idea exchanges...
  • jacobgutman
Erik, you doing a great work - Thanks a lot
  • Kathy
Teams always reflect their leaders. If you are not there, they are not there. The best leaders listen, invite, and then encourage participation.
  • margarethockaday
meetings are designed to get people in front of the information after an escalation process. To show them the whole picture in a different venue.
  • butchgagnon
I got over the line at an event, and you?
  • Events are completely duplicable! third party validation is extremely powerful!
  • jean_albert
Events are not only a way to share information to your downline (having some-one upline saying the same processes, methods, etc. as you are sharing), you also expose yourself & your group to like-minded people. Distributors see that other people are in the same business and having success.
  • lauralopez
Eric I really agree with this show the events are very important I had been in Utah and I really learn a lot from many leaders it was a great experience and helps me to grow my organization
    Thanks
    Laura Lopez from Monterrey Mexico
  • agelfederico
ok, lets focus on building this skill, I will see you at the webinar.
  • JON FORTI
PROMOTE EVENTS, YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT VALUABE TO THEM
  • guydrennan
Bringing a guest to an event is the simplest activity to duplicate. There is more to it than saying "meet me there" and you do a great training on that. Hope to see it.
  • ockaren
I would say that getting people to events is definitely my weakest skill! Thank you, Eric for offering the webinar - can't wait!
  • Carlos Perez
Promoting Event is a very important Skill in our Profession.
  • jnunez
I'll see you in the webinar, people are not coming to my meetings so I feel i'm doing something wrong. I figure the webinar is on Feb 3rd, cause your going to be in Australia?
  • Hi, there are 3 elements that have helped us a lot on inviting people to events:
    1) Sense of urgency. They will miss it! it's only one chance!
    2) Importance. It is important for your prospects to be there, not for you!
    3) Curiosity. Don't say anything about the oportunity
  • jnunez
Thanks, the urgency part is the one I'm having trouble with. They cancel at the last moment asking for a reschedule, if we reschedule the urgency is gone (imho)
  • barryburgin77
HA!! I just started having 2 meetings per month in December. My last meeting was attended by me, myself and I....and some other guy! Man, how disappointing. BUT, I believe things are about to change. Thanks, ERIC! PS.....See you in San Francisco in Feb!!
  • luciabrazell
it is important but for those of us that live far away or just join the best thing to do is get together set goals
and support each other, attend webinars and focus on the prize in other words be consistent
  • denagottlieb
btw I can't attend the Feb 3 webinar as it will be 3:00 am my time. But I'll be with you in spirit! And if there is a way to watch it later I would be thrilled.
    Thanks
  • denagottlieb
    Yes, yes, yes!
I totally agree with this one.
I am one of the lucky people who lives 1/2 hour away from my company's HQ and they have training events all week long. They also hold big events every month or so and it is very good for my business. I always have something to invite people to. First I start with a small presentation and then I move on to a bigger one. It's great always having something bigger or different to invite them to!
Events do alot of the work for us!
  • petegiokas
I agree wholeheartedly about the importance of building for events. I think the mentality of the masses today would rather try building a business with Social Media and not with meetings events. I believe the key to success (or at least one of the keys) is effective and pursuasive communication.
  • KRT1
I would like to learn more about the invite/promote skill. See ya on the 3rd!
  • nikigombis
I miss having a partner to hold meetings and invite prospects. Hopefully, things will change.
  • susanclark
#216 - Just in case I did not comment - I totally agree that the important skill to master is getting people to events and I need to improve.
  • Passed this one forward!
  • mrmauriocrawford
So...I guess meetings are the life blood of the business, the infrastructure. This vid kinda opens up my thinking a bit more regarding meetings. I always thought that exposing and talking to new people was the key. But they all seem to go hand-n-hand.
  • ronniw
anxious to hear the best way to promote events
  • KeithN
No doubt this is an area where my skills are lacking. If you want to promote your business effectively, it must also be done professionally. I anxious to hear what Eric has to share with us.
  • goingpro
Do you pick people up to go?
  • gerritbronkhorst
Are meetings the most important for guest or for teammembers? Since you were talking about the importance of third party confirmation?
  • Grace2010
Exactly what I want to learn to do. I signed up and am really looking forward to the webinar.
  • dalejv
Thanks for the reminder on the importance of events!
  • Mark Dickson
My computer went down. I'm playing catch up. I like the idea of invite invite invite butts in the chair.
  • LisaR2010
Great suggestion. I actually have thought about how I would do that where it would be a prosperous outcome. Until next time.

    Lisa
  • I could use some help in this area. See you on the 3rd.
  • jlt0wn
events can work both ways if you don't have a professional planned knowledgeable event.
  • Short and sweet and to the point! Meetings make money. Learning to promote events is a priority in getting people to see the big picture and in providing 3rd party credibility. Thanks Eric!
  • ronaldvandomburg
hi everybody, I have something to learn about promoting events i think, so i'll try to be there 3rd febr
  • Rosa7
Events are great .You are great when you talk on the stage .
  • mrmauriocrawford
Meetings really do make money. Alot of us tend to lose focus on that. Thanks for getting me back on track about this Eric.
  • That makes so much sense, Eric. I'm definately doing your seminar.
  • Thanks for the advice.....I absolutely agree that events are key!
  • gingerva
I hear this all the time from successful network marketers. Thanks for the reinforcement and for making it clear; promote everything, people, events, DVD's, etc.
  • Too bad SF is just too far away as I travel from Minneapolis to Vegas.for a Big Event...so Eric thank-you for simplifying the key ingredients for success. Now I better get back to ...events! Putting that up front with new team members as far as essential steps to achieving success...
  • Irina
One of ways to get people to a meeting is telling them that you got involved in a business and you are not sure that you made the right choice, and you need their help because you value their opinion. In this case they don't feel presure and their mind will be open and they will be able to hear the message.
  • tjsknmp
just checking in - computer went down for a couple of days.
  • AviPeer
You are right, let the event be the message it is the best way for duplication.
  • martinvf
    WOW, I'm speechless......................
what can I say???.... I'm in the right place at the right time!!! =oD

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.

    Martín V.
  • mspaulamc
Like this one ... edifying to what we train. Will tell others about the webinar.
  • martinvf
I'm excited to get to that webinar.
As Dan said in the interview, if you can't present the business, if you can't retail, if you can't recrute, but if at least you take the opportunity to the people, that will give you a good chance to make your business grow. Events are the best way to show the biz opportunity to your people.

ERIC, QUESTION... Do you recommend to buy a ticket to a prospect or make him/her by the ticket him/herself???

    Thanks.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.
  • Bea Resnick
I admit that I’m better at attending events than promoting. I’ve signed up for your webinar and I’m looking forward to learning more about becoming a great promoter!
  • After the last company I was involved in, I am totally burned out on events. That's all I'll say about it. I'll consider your comments, though.
  • rosslopez
It may be easy to invite the people to an event, the good part begins when people really show up at the event. I'd love to learn the tips to become attractive to the people so they get the interest to attend to the invitations we make =o)

Thanks Eric, will hear you at the webinar
    Hugs from Mexico
    Rossana
  • genegrass
Great advice, Eric. My company announed an event soon in my area. Must develop a simple plan with massive promotion resulting in massive attendance. Thanks!
  • jayvannostrand
Ahhh the power of promotion!!!...Jim Rohn would be proud!...great insights Eric!
  • frankdiaz
good piece i am in the process of setting an event up .......
  • Jilliangene
The events recharges me. They give me a new look at the business. You are so right events are one of the best tools to help me keep going in this industry.

    Jillian
  • ishapkina
Super, I know what to focus on the most, i am in!
  • Cortney
I am really weak in this skill. Looking forward to your webinar.
  • Thats going to be a hard one to get a hold on Ive been a truck driver most of my life and never actually liking many salesmen LOL Never mind being one.
I am ready to learn though thanks again for being here for us
  • lorijones
Eric I'm so looking forward to your event on Feb 3rd, can't wait to learn how to have success getting people to events. Lori
  • Vange01
Eric, thanks for sharing your knowledge and I'm looking forward to February 3rd.
  • John Spardella
It was a few weeks after regularly watching this show that I stopped asking myself, "What else could Eric teach us" because it was always fresh and valuable information. Once again, now I will focus even more intensely on getting people to the next activity. By the way Eric, if you happen to read this, I believe spending time learning from you would be worth $995. so I will certainly be paying $9.95 Thank you!
  • Thanks for the lesson and emulating Don King (not for the feint of heart) is one of my many challenges. This episode snuck up on me - lol!
  • Athletes4Health
Event promotion is yet another skill I need to work on. Looking forward to the webinar.
  • Jeroen Lingier
Great topic, since I noticed I failed before due to the fact I didn't succeed at promoting.
I have a question for you mr. Worre: which one of your hundred books on promoting is a must read?
    Warm regards,
From Belgium, this is Jeroen Lingier
  • chipc
great timing. learning more about how to invite people to events (even home events) was on my mental list.
  • theuns
Thanks Eric i will do my best to be there and i agree with you
  • There's a whole school of thought now that disregards meetings entirely. Personally, I get more when I go to one, but I usually don't wanna go!
  • Frank Diaz
Very good, will sign in for the training to do meeting
  • Luis (Pelon)
We are learning how to thats what has been more difficult for us and we are focusing on that
  • donnawheatonmaplewoodmn
I have always know that if I could get someone to an event they would be opened to something wonderful. It is when I am sitting in an event that no one I invited showed up that I wish I would have invited more. Thank you
  • Very true. This is hard for a lot of people to do. Getting to meetings and events, very helpful.

    thanks
    ed
  • Inviting is the only skill that someone else cannot do for you. Getting your prospects to events shows them the bigger picture and that it's a real business. Thanks!
  • magnelordahl
Yes, no doubt that the meetings give you the confidence you need to succeed in this business. It's important to front as a good example for your leaders. Important that others see a larger image of this business. It is impossible to convey this alone.
  • magnelordahl
  • lisabooth
Events have always been one of my weakest areas. When I attend, I kick myself the whole time because I didn't get anyone there with me! Can't wait for the webinar!
  • happyhealthybob
This seems so true in my business. This would be a great skill to work on. Thanks for the food for thought. I cant wait for that webinar!!!
  • heatherbrocklehurst
I really need to work on this too. Great stuff, Eric. I've had people ask me to "take good notes" for them. I have to say, I could write everything down word for word and they still wouldn't get what we got out of it by personally being there. Events are soooo important!
  • quincy
Ive heard it over and over and know it to be true from experience that meetings make money and the art of promotion is VERY important to building. Cant wait for the special webinar next month.
  • Bernadette
I agree. Geting prospects to events transfers the excitement of lots of people!
  • etronics6
    ckin in
  • Events have been implemented in my 2010 Game Plan. Look forward to the world class promoter on Feb 3
  • dannyscottlynn
    Look forward to the meeting.
  • Hai
For the record...haha- I went straight to registration to sign on for Feb. 3 webinar and I got excited about the class that I forgot to post my comment for this show at the same time.
It's about "honoring my promise"here but my action of registering can speak for itself. Can't wait!

Events is the key word... Not only in our own agenda but in our whole team's agenda!!
  • aileens
Attending events, I find that a challenge, but now realise I have to get good at it. Thankyou Eric.
  • Darnell
I take it this is to keep it simple and not get complicated in the business!! Learn to master one skill and the rest will take care of itself!! Thank you...looking forward to the next video!!!
  • MagnusEdvald
It is a good reminder about events.
  • Not easy to get people to understand this, but it's sooo true..evens are so "cool"
  • Agneta Rebo
We were talking about this in the weekend - that we need to have more people at the events. It´s really nice then to here you talk about how important that is. We are on our way :)
  • net22
    I will attend the webinar.
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
Yes, in fact, it starts with inviting people for a ...meeting at your home. that is the first event. We really need skills on that meeting to become a leader. If you can invite for your home-events, the next step will be easier i suppose. Best regards Eric, THANKS
  • Jessi
    I believe you!
  • janetsnetpro
Thank you Eric...not easy to get people OUT of their comfort zone...Events are fun and a great way for others to show some love to one another!
  • MarvinTowler
Eric, thank you for being of service.
  • Earl
Great info! I just can't wait till Feb 3rd! So I will just stumble through it until then.
  • I totally agree. I think we can all use some Help/Refresher in this area. Looking forward to another great webinar Thanks Eric.
I am a Network marketing professional!
  • This was an interesting topic in that you call it the number 1 skill...As I think of all of the events in my primary industry, you're right - the energy, excitement, the 3rd party endorsement is all there...great points.
  • Erik
Meetings make money :) I have a story abouth this, I will tell it to you one day :)
  • orlyalbo
Well, i'm with you at the webinar. evry day i translate to Hebrew what you tell us. it's a treasure.
  • Events takes care of everything; give people inspiration, ideas and most of all confidence for the profession and belief in themselves. Nothing beats listening to a person on stage, who became successful inspite of challenges and difficulties saying: "If I can do it - YOU can do it!"
  • Denise Cox
    11:30 pm MST - USA
    I'm registered. I'm in! I'm a sponge!
  • This is so true, thats why only 20% of people make "GOOD" $$$ in the industry, because only 20% of people put bums on seats at every meeting. 80% of people put bums on seats every few meetings or not at all. Then say that the industry doesn't work.
  • gjt
look forward to webinar and leaarning how to get more butts in the seats
  • mikeyfromvegas
Hi Eric, I will see you on the webiner on the 3rd. Also I like how you are leading us to the bank. Thank you
    Mikey
  • Robertdiggsjr
I definitely want to get better at promoting events
  • Shovers
Wow! something I figured would just come in time. I will make it a focus point.
  • I just watched Eric's first webinar yesterday. That was very powerful. One of the main messages there also was about the importance of bringing people to events. That really is the major skill I need to develop. I definitely will be attending the next webinar on Feb 3. I wish it was sooner... :)
  • david_high
Getting people to attend events. I definitely need to develop my skills in this area.
  • mchalk
I attended my first major event just before Christmas so I now know the impact that it can have. Promoting events are key to building excitement within an organization it seems, so I will start to focus on this aspect immediately!
  • kellylanley
Ha! Just came from a meeting and am full of the positive energy from it!!!
I'm definitely looking forward to the 3rd! Thanks so much for all you do.
  • Events are essential and at each one, you are building anticipation for the next one...

Eric, I'm looking forward to your webinar on the 3rd.
  • caronwashington
Promotion pays big money....said by the late great Jim Rohn. I always remember he said that on his cd. Meetings build belief and social proof. I like what you said that meetings take care of everything. They do because you meet other partners, see the bigger vision, and feel the energy, amongst other things
  • beatrizperez
Great Message, I agree meetings make money, people get excite about the company, what they can do also and join. I love all of your messages I do learn a lot from them, I have learned from you so much
this months. I have been trying to do networkmarketing on my own but without sucess and now I learned a lot from you. Thank you. I am happy that you are able to help others to succeed by giving out your knowledge and experience.
  • TAbrams
Really looking forward to the upcoming Webinar Feb 3rd.

I agree if more people in our profession could get themselves out of the way quickly and all new people to their events they would achieve growth within their organization quicker. Every top producers and income earner in our company has mastered this key skill. All of the stories of the difference between the lengths of time it took them to reach the top all relates back to how quickly they learned to promote correctly. If this skill is taught properly and then duplicates throughout your organization - you can truly have explosive growth. This business is about working and building from "Event to Event" and everything in our industry is an event - so we should all constantly be promoting and we all need to continually refine and develop this skill.

Eric - what are some of the best books you would recommend from your collection of the 100 + you mentioned?
  • AdvocareJax
That is so true! When we established a large, weekly business opportunity meeting in our area, we saw a rapid growth in everyone's business because all they had to do was get people in the room.
  • Having my first event this weekend wish me luck!
  • susanclark
#216 The one skill for a person to learn to make the most money and create the most longevity is to get people to the events. I am excited to learn more about this topic so I can creat a better organization. Thanks.
  • Mike McCoy
    Eric,
Consider recording for us that cannot make it on that day and time. I'd pay the money be able to view it when I can which would be Thursday the 4th after 7pm PST. Think about it, please.
  • Meetings build and reinforce belief. I know for me the first event I attended really added the "wow" factor that I would never have felt if I hadn't gone.
  • dterrell
I need to learn more on about how to get people to events. I am looking forward to your webinar on events promotion.
  • Great message...we just put a great schedule of events together for the coming months for our team to build towards here...it is going to be amazing looking forward to the extra training!! Thanks!
  • carybennett
Great topic and so very true events are where its at, thats what we should always aim for thanks Eric
  • JenniferDu79
So excited for this new webinar it will be the perfect followup to the best year webinar already completed. Since our goal is to do the event you wanted it is great that I will be able to feel more comfortable with the events.
  • eugenejohnson
with the fact that i have such big goals in 2010....i know this is the main thing that i need to focus on...and what i realized is if u take the amount of people u have at the big event and u multiply it by $1000 and thats ur income so....thats my focus right now....to build from event to event...from sitdowns to PBR's to briefings to trainings to regionals to corprate events ...that is whats goin to take me to my income goal this year!!
  • yuvalcohen
    Thanks Eric
Important skill, in addition to the broad picture gives a great event.
    Events also play energy action
  • jennyc
Love this idea, I need the pointers on how to do it.
  • germanjaramillo
Since the webinar on dec 16 th i have benn thinking about that. That idea put me in other way about the mlm profession. I understood and now we are with our team, puting action here in Colombia with my company.

    Thank for all.

    -GJ
  • FrankMarshman
I heard some years ago the reason to promote events is so the new person can see the big picture. You as his sponsor don't have the credibility that thousands of people do.
  • Tarashon Broomes
I agree if you can get people to events that is a great skill to acquire and YES it is also great way to get third party validation
  • Steve Johnson
I definitely need to be more disciplined on bringing people out to events. Thanks for the info.
  • tambry
I think we need to do a better job of promoting online events like Webinars and really emphasize to our prospects the speaker or speakers giving the Presentation or Training or whatever it is. And really do a good job of edifying them.
  • alcamacho
Wow! I registered this morning. Is there any cd's that you would recommend on this topic? I vote for you on the shorty awards! I was #97 , we are in 1st place! Awesome!
  • I just signed up and look forward to your program. As an event producer for large corporate meetings, I am interested in the specifics you are sure to provide. Also Just Tweeted you up for the Shorty Awards. Hey all you WORRE WARRIORS. GET ON THE HORN AND VOTE FOR ERIC. Lets show Eric some "Warrior" Love for our fearless Leader:)
  • aliceclifford
Hi Eric I felt guilty not posting a coment over the weekend. I look forward every day to see what you have to say.
  • rayrios
Great info to re-hear...Just registered for the Feb 3 event. Thanks
  • Dee_Canada
It's so important to note the difference between "inviting" and 'promoting". Promoting takes it to a higher level...it helps the prospect understand that the very next event is the single mopst important event of their lives!! That very nex event will be THE ONE....because for that person...at that time..that is the absolute truth! That event, can be the one that helps that person CHANGE THEIR LIFE FOREVER!!! THAT is what promoting is about....leading people to the vital information they need to make the decision that is right for them.

See what happens when you get me all excited!!! LOL :0)
  • onemartymac
Promote. Promote. Promote. Be committed as a leader and get to the events yourself... as you bring your team members along get them to promote promote promote to the local events and the national events!

    Great video and tips!
    Thanks
    Marty
  • Alyson Ogilvie-Lee
Pretty simple thing to do, eh? Have just registered for the event.
    Thanks Eric
  • Here's some love for you, Eric. I am soaking up this info. Is there any one book that you would recommend on this topic? And I did vote for you on the shorty awards!! Good Luck!
  • BobandPam
Promote events! We are starting to see the BIG picture! Thanks for sharing Eric!
  • David Wright
    Eric,
I have heard this before... the ones who make the most money promote from event to event. I never got it as I struggled to get people to events so I focused on the other skills.
Thanks a million for stating WHY this skill is so important.
  • Emmanuel
Well Eric I agree with you on the power of promoting events. Thats so true promoting to your team on going to event is powerful because it at big events especially is where they get the full vision.

    Thanks man you rock
  • enriquecaz
Eric, I just remember Niti´s Sawangsap interview and how important he said promoting events was soo important for him to achieve Cuadruple Diamond in his company (he is the only one as far as I know), and he explained how he educate his downline to do the same, how he duplicates... and it made me a lot of sense!!!, it was brilliant and if it worked for him, it can work for everybody who is interested in their own bussiness, it was simple as I remember.

    Saludos!
    Enrique C.
  • Stephen
If I think about it it makes sense, event promotion lays it on the line. If you have this ability the others are force fed or at the very least you put yourself in front of a train of experience. Eric if this was truly your forte it shouldn't be surprising that success couldn't be far behind. Thanks
  • daddykekere
wonderful presentation Eric. I know now why the top producers in my company stress the importance of attending events.
  • ericworre
YOU are attending... THEY are promoting
  • Dave S
    Sold. Sign me up!
  • shawncyr
Wonderful video and I look forward to your event for promoting. It will be quicker in a seminar than reading a hundred books or so. Thanks Eric.
  • lisamb84
Great idea, Eric -- to call and interview as many successful distributors in my company as I can to ask them how to invite and promote events. This is one of the most basic skills in network marketing; unfortunately, it's not really taught. A very successful distributor in my company, a 27-year veteran of the industry, just realized for the first time in her career, while she was doing a country-wide tour this summer, that people she was supposedly training didn't know the very basics, like inviting. Now, having discovered "The Talent Code" by Daniel Coyle, she's teaching those specific skills.
  • dlinkhart
I said communication, but as soon as you said events, I knew that was true. Where can I find out about the upcoming event?
  • ericworre
Top right box on the NMPRO home page
  • coltsco
I'm looking forward to the webinar and learning more great tips on inviting.
  • Bob Gittleman
It's a concept that my company promotes, but I'm not sure that they do enough of it, or at least not as much as you promote from your Webinar. I like the concept of a 1 hour so we can learn more about how to get people to the events
  • Jose Lopez
Thanks so much Erick. Great reminder. It's something I need to keep getting better at. I look forward to the webinar on Feb 3rd. In the meantime, are there any book you, or someone in the NMPro community would like to suggest on this topic?
  • karivankleef
Great message. I won't be able to attend the webinar, Wednesday is church. Will there be a way to purchase a recorded copy?
  • racingworm
Good message as always. Sometimes you don't realize the little things ,sometimes, are the most significant things. Thankyou
  • jerryscribner
    More good teaching
  • Thank you Eric, the three "M"s don't stand for Minnesota Minning and Manufacturing they stand for "Meetings Make Money." Now lets learn some of the secrets you have for getting butts in seats.
  • CarlosVera
As a newcomer I'm still finding it hard to get people to big events. I even find it hard to bring them to my own house for a private meeting!!! I won't be able to join you but I'll wait for it until you make it available for everybody.

    Carlos from Paraguay
  • feltricks
That's the skill. I haven't missed a single event since I joined my company, but I really have to improve in getting more people to the events, not only International but local.
    Thanks you.
  • ericworre
Attending shows commitment... PROMOTING shows leadership
  • wimbelt
This is undoubtedly a skill I have to work on. Thanks for the message
  • classy70sgirl
I like this and it's absolutely true! Once prospects experience the excitement and meet others who are successfully doing the business, it helps them to see that they are capable of doing the same.
    Thanks for this Eric.
  • Getting people to events is key. It gets eaiser each time.
  • drkay
Yes. This is an area where I do need some help. I will work harder with concerted effort from now on. Thank you.
  • Dylan Cooper
I am going to become a top event promoter. It makes sense.

    Thanks Eric.
  • JON FORTI
SEND A GROUP TO A BUSINESS MEETING , IT WILL BE MORE FOCUSED.
  • HoracioMejia
I will be at the webinar, and to start developing the skill, I will be bringing people from my team to this event.
  • Waiting for webinar, I'm in.
  • kgadol
I will be there and have encouraged our team to be there too. This is a fundamental.
  • Claire Cameron
Looking forward to your webinar. The 2010 goals one was well worth the tome.
  • tylerwhite
    I agree 100%
  • Thanks 4 the info, the power of a prospect meeting your upline is incredible. Thanks for the heads up!
  • juanpablorico

Yupp! Like New Years Kick-offs. Getting people fired up to build it big!
  • Agneta Rebo
We were talking about this in the weekend - that we need to have more people at the events. It´s really nice then to here you talk about how important that is. We are on our way :)
  • bghcancun
Thank you for that info. Now i´m making my events calendar!
  • cmattern
Sometimes getting people to events is like asking them to go to the dentist with you. This is important info. Thank you!
  • anthonyviglietta
This is great info. This would be considered the ultimate 3rd party tool. Now, I just have to find out when my company has a big event relatively close to me!
  • I like the idea of getting information from other successful presenters in my upline. I can do that! I was wondering where to start after watching your Best Year Ever Webinar. Now I've got some really good ideas. I'm in for your webinar also. Thanks, Victoria
  • enrique62
I guess inviting and promoting must go together.
  • gloriavintila
Events do take care of more than half of the job, once you got your people attending them. And the speaker makes a big difference. The same presentation or the same training can be much more powerful if the speaker is a charismatic one.
  • neilclements
I have heard you talk about this topic often Eric. I struggle with this Piece. Having said that I am Committing myself to Getting Better at promoting! Thanks for the info.

    Neil
  • Pepeneto
Meetings make money. If you dont have any upline to get the people in front of, I suggest you become a great event organizer and promoter. System must be simple and to explain the opportunity and your product or service to anyone else in a nice, clean, emotional and strong but simple presentation dont must be a big deal. Just do it.
  • Events are key and they create momentum in your business. You have to do whatever it takes to attend!
  • Events drive your business there is no doubt. But I think events can be anything. You dont have to wait on the regional or national event to promte. You should be thinking about the next 2 or three events. Your private business event in your home or local meeting, a "Webinar", a confrence call, and so on. Think out of the box. Great stuff.
  • PaulineP
    great info
  • Ria Leermakers
I know I need events. Next one will be Rome.
But getting people to join me is still a problem.
I'm very curious about the next webinar, will be there, even though it's 2 o'clock am in our country.
  • Lisette
    Hi!
This webinar, is it going to be recorded, so we can be buy it later?
  • susanjohannesson
Thank you Eric, I'll be there!
  • dougharkins
Just had a meeting last Friday, with my mentor and upline leaders about this exact interview. I am looking forward to your ideas in the webinar in February!
  • dstfa96
This episode was soooo on point. Events really do make money. I definitely want to work on improving my promotion skills and I would love for my entire team to do the same!
  • Very true - ties in with what Dan was talking about. Get people in front of the opportunity, and let the system 'sell' the business for you. Group dynamics are powerful!

Cool banner on the top right - didn't know you could pull so hard! :-)

    Best to you,
    Scott
  • highimpact0406
I have thrown this idea around in my mind on more than one occasion, but just trying to come up with ways to do this. Have a few of my own, but would appreciate any suggestions that you may have Eric, for doing this exact thing. I really appreciated the comment of "stop selling and start promoting, it will take care of everything else!" I am planning on signing up for the webinar and looking forward to it. Thank you so much Eric.
  • Bryan_in_KC
Skill in promoting events takes practice and often times requires thinking "outside the box"
  • nickgarrison
Great idea. I am new to Network marketing and am digesting a lot of information. But this is an interesting topic.
  • rasdaniels
I am looking forward to Feb. 3rd. I like the comment, to think like Don King...
  • Not sure what has happened to the man machne interface on the site Eric but for a time now the comment box has disappeared and I have to click on the comments /like hyperlink to get to the comments so I can leave one. Firefox updated recently so maybe that's it? Anyway, I fully agree with the video and have signed up for the webinar. I got a copy of Influence by Robert Cialdini and have begun to study the whoe business of persuasion - it is a master skill. Robert G Allen is great at it - his webinars are "smoking".
  • Again, a concurrent top piece of advice- Promote Events.
We're told that it's not necessarily about attending events (yes, do that), but more importantly, it's about how many other people we can get to events.
I'd like that experience and skill.
I am looking forward to the training and will promote this event!
  • When I first started in network marketing I joined the company and then got abducted by aliens for 3 months. My sponsor called me to go to an event and I went out of guilt! When I got there I saw 1000 people and most of them were onstage getting cheques, and I thought 'if they can do this, so can I'

    Events work!
  • Gerard
    great
  • Gerard
    great
  • tommycone
I am looking forward to learning how to promote events. Thanks
  • Krisi
Hmm. I have never looked at my business like that before. Starting this month my area has switched from meetings to classes which will build up to events . I am so excited for the change because I know it will make a big difference in my business and the momentum in Indianapolis.
  • seija
The skill I need to develop...
  • A timely post as I'm heading to Dallas this coming weekend for a company training event. More meetings = more money! :-) Thanks, Eric!
  • edith
The first bigger event I went to, was Master Mind Amsterdam
And it really gave me such a good feeling and a lot of energy
It is a fact you see "the bigger picture"there
  • jc13
    The Meeting

Previously we learned that the one skill or activity that is paramount over all others is building towards events. Why is that? Why do they say that Meetings Make Money? Is it true that nothing is more critical to the long-term success of the network marketing business than meetings?

Thinking again about the previous videos I realize that meetings will determine who is committed to their own success and who is not. Meetings will help you define your inner circle because you want to work with people who show up; people you can count on to do the thing they said they were going to do. Meetings are a training ground for leadership.

Meetings empower people. When a team works together towards a common goal it motivates everyone to make a little extra effort. People take pride and ownership of their business in their desire to be attractive to successful people. Success motivates success. Meetings are a business activity and no business person engages in activities that are not profitable. Meetings make money. How is that possible?

    The Prospect

Meetings are a communications tool. They are a place where information and influence are exchanged. After hearing about the great company and people in the company the potential business partner comes to the meeting to look into the eyes of the local leadership and press the flesh. The meeting becomes the place where you earn the respect and admiration of your prospect.

The environment of the event will help a potential prospect determine that this is a group of individuals they want to spend time with. Just as you qualified them in the beginning of your relationship as someone worth spending your time to recruit, the prospect is in turn qualifying the opportunity, the company, and the people involved as worthy of their time. Not only do meetings create believability, meetings create trust.

Meetings produce results. When a great presenter takes the stage they become the expert. They become the authority who breaks down the barriers of skepticism. In a short period of time a complete overview of everything you have wanted to throw up on your prospect can be given in such a manner that the decision to say no would seem like a bad decision. A great presenter will motivate your prospects to take action. That’s when we can say with surety – Meetings Make Money!
  • I just registered for the Webinar as this is an area that I need to develop. I am looking forward to breaking through my personally developed roadblocks.
  • brigittapatel
    Great advice.
    I’ll be at the webinar.

    Thanks a million
  • rmonte
I am signed up and looking forward to it. Events are where big decisions are made!

    Can wait intil Feb 3....
  • turjcxg
Eric, thank you again for your work. YES I registered for the Become a Better Promoter webinar and I'm sooooo looking forward to it.

Along with that webinar, could you give us a few of the resources that have helped you become a better event promoter?
  • BetterCoffee.dk
Just went to the 2010 kick off event in my organisation this past weekend.
I always go to events because I know how pumped up I get.
This year for me is all about consistency, so I have to maintain momentum all the way from one event to the next. What can really help is to have more people in my team on the same high as myself.

I'm gonna be on that webinar to learn how I get all my people to come!

Any chance there will be a recording to watch later like with the previous webinar?
Here in Denmark it's 2 am when the webinar is on.
If that's the only time to see it then so be it.
But it would be nice to watch it the following day when you know your son is awake at 6.30 and you have only slept 3 hours by then. :)
  • anitagwheeler
You are absolutely right. Can't wait for the webinar! Am going to get my team on too!!
  • pech
Unfortunately I will be in a plane somewhere between Spain and Denmark Feb. 3, when the webinar in scheduled. Are there plans for a similar webinar at a later date? Thanks Eric.
  • julie67
I totally agree that if you can get people to events, you can find others to help you with the parts of the business that you struggle with. This is a great help to those with less experience. Thanks.
  • SJ Doug
Eric I Just came back this weekend from such an event with the Company that I am with.
It is so big, the people who are moving the fastest are the ones who are bring theeir teams to these events. We do have a better way.
  • Ton Oosterwijk
How long would one have to think.... to get a one hour training from any professional with a proven track-record for over 20 years with an investment of $ 9,95..
I have paid the $ 49,95 and have gotten out of bed at 2 AM to be at the first one.... People..do yourself a favor... and sign-up..
You, me all of us want solid events to help and "tell the world".~
And that can only be achieved with many attendees.
  • I think your inviting/promoting skills grow in direct proportion to the belief level in what you are doing or promoting... the more you learn, the more you grow, the better you get.
  • donham298
To the event I will go.
    Thanks
  • Looking forward to the Webinar and being able to do right from the start...thanks Eric !
  • quintaser
    GREAT POINT
Events, from a PBR to a massive ones are for many of us the momment of more stress, when you are waiting your people to arrive and you see the clock counting those terrible seconds. Yes it will be useful to develop that skil.

Thanks Eric, have a great week.

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana
  • Before I was a network marketer, I actually did event promotion and sold out venues. I also own my own clothing business. And when I went to my first network marketing big live event, It was exciting but it was also a big turn off so I didn't get involved at that time. Because I didn't want to do these big meeting. I knew how much work was involved in live events and I felt that wouldn't give me time freedom it would make me a slave. It would suck my time away. I do do live events now. But prerecorded events, or live-non in person events, I think appeal more to professionals who don't have a lot of time. So at the very least I think a live event should not be the first exposure to a business with most corporate professional types who are looking at network marketing for time freedom and money---not just money.
  • I appreciate the focus you have put on the meeting in this segment and also during the 2 hour webinar a few weeks back. My question of how important the physical calendar of events are in this age of technology has been answered. It makes great sense that relationship business is best done in person.
  • Pete
I am looking forward to Feb 3
  • gmeyerson
Meetings do make a difference, I brought 4 prospects to our last one and they have all signed up
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
Thk you again. For now and so on i would become a network mktng pro working hard in this particular skill
  • hanneretvik
I just signed up for this webinar. I appreciate that the webinar will be registered for us Europeans. I am surely going to see it live, but am not sure if I will be awake enough to take all the notes I would like in the middle of the night! Hanne
  • Hans
My last big meeting for my previous company I brought 11 people to the dance those three days of training and those 11 people helped me make 15K in euros in one month. Not bad! You are very right, meetings make big differences and like you discussed with Dan I too sometimes paid for people to fly trans-atlantic to come see the big picture and it always worked wonders. Great video, thanks once again, Eric!
  • kgoren
I find this the hardest thing to do. Getting people to events. It's all about skill and can't wait to learn more.
  • This is really a skill I need to learn ... heading over to the top right corner, click the banner ... order ... :)
  • Daniel W. Cook III
    #7
Wish the training was TODAY! Need every tip i can get to make this first end of the month event as successful as possible.
  • Just signed up for this webinar.
  • Lynn Hall
I agree getting people to the event helps them see the bigger picture and their questions will be anwered. I also agree with don't let people sell you their story. Spark their curiosity.
  • Sooo true! I always remember my sponsor tell me that events drives our business.
  • Bjorgli
I hear what you say and understand what you mean. It's the rest that's hard. But I'll follow your advice.
  • penaltybox1
Meetings do make money and events do sooooo much I can say that one from experience Agel World 09 did so much for a newbie like me.
  • Nancy
Definitely something that I need. Recently had an event - invited 80 people, 4 came. Yes, I will greatly benefit from this webinar.
  • pollyhulseman
This is certainly something I am working on - Looking forward to the webinar.
  • mbryant
I like the premise! Holding exciting and meaningful events is also a key!!
  • I totally agree with you Eric about events. They are where great growth and success can come in the network marketing business. All of the local people who I have partnered with me on my team has come through attending an event or multiple ones. Here is something that we use to promote within the team:

Promote! Promote! Promote! Events drive your business.

"80 % percent of SUCCESS is showing up."

"Associates who attend events GO UP in income and pin levels."

If you're there, you're learning. If you bring a guest, you're earning!

... The Art of Promotion and Influence is a fantastic skill and must skill to have in this industry.
Thanks again for sharing with us all. Look forward to the webinar in February.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
  • fc34615
This is certainly one skill that we all need to improve, unless we don't want to be incredibly successful in this journey. I would love to hear more about those 100+ books that you have had an opportunity to learn from, Eric. I look forward to attending your upcoming webinar.
    My best,
    Fernando.

Meetings Make Money. Promoting Makes Meetings. Got It. Brian Hepner
  • Thanks Eric. My upline keeps telling me to bring people to events but I am hesitant. Now with this video I understand how important it is.
  • MattinJaxfl
I just got back from attending my first company event this weekend. After doing so I have a whole new appreciation for your video today. The event itself was nothing special but meeting new like minded people and forming new friendships is a game changer!
  • What a great lesson for all of us on NMPro! Many company's annual conventions are in March and we get to learn from the best in time to maximize what we are learning. As far as $9.95 for the webinar, what an incredible value! Thank you Eric!!
  • Alvaro Rodriguez
That´s been hard for me... I think I nedd to delevop this skill
  • gillym1
Once again Eric - you have hit the nail on the head! Thank you
  • raybeattie
One of the skills I need to work on. Eric, thanks for the insight.
  • Hi Eric. I understand more and more that bringing people to events is what I need to do. Thank you for showing me. / Linda, Swendel
  • I have atteneded many events locally, in Utah and Europe and have to agree with everything you are promoting. It is often at these events that people get the AHA or defining moments.

May I ask that you repeat this webinar to be presented in a more sociable European time? It is difficult to get people to events - even more so to convinvc them that they HAVE to get out of bed at 2am.!!!!
  • ericworre
Yes, I know it's hard. But we will be recording it for our friends around the world. :)
  • hillin
As said in the last video,3rd party tools is one of the core element to success.
  • ockaren
This is a huge challenge in my local area, people are burned out on meetings, home parties, etc. Do you have an alternative for people like me? Thanks, Eric!
  • Thank you Eric. I already registered for the webinar and made an announcement for my group. It's very timely for me. I know I can do it and with your help it would be much easier.
  • Lorraine
I have to admit that from your Dec webinar, this was one message that I totally took to heart. I love that you will be focusing on how to become a good promoter. Our meetings lack luster and I am hoping that your webinar will help make our meeting more effective and productive. Thanks.
  • jc13
Yeah, meetings can be good or bad. Presenters need to realize they are there for the group and not their ego. If that isn't the issue maybe a team meeting can focus on the issues. It becomes personal growth in a public forum.
  • Mark_Abrahams
Great advise - make like Don King and promote meetings
  • timandtrcia
It makes perfect sense. Meetings Make Money. Good meetings take care of most things for a new person building their other skills. I hope you will spend some time the webinar talking about how to get started with the Meeting Culture when it doesn't exist in a line or company. Some tips on building events from scratch would be great. We all know that meetings can cut both ways.

    Thanks,

    Tim and Tricia
  • socorro
Thanks Erik, I 'll be there
  • sbratt
    THANKS..... GREAT COMMENTS.

I do love your show. I am reeing books , watch your show, listenig to Stefan Saabøe.
And feeling more and more professional every day .
    Thak you.
  • jlconner
I registered for the webinar. Can't wait til Feb.3. By the way do I always have to post as guest and then register? I don't understand. I am logged in when I listen to your show.
  • kristibateman
    Thanks Eric
  • Maxwellhealth
Meetings Make Money...well that about tells the entire story of "WHY" we want to pay attention to this and indeed teach and model our new assoicates to learn and apply out of the gate!!
  • Stone Cold Fact: Eric has hit the nail on the head! Promoting events takes the pressure off! I am looking forward to the webinar!
  • rebeccaharms
One of my top 3 goals this year. Thanks for keeping this in front of me.
  • amberaimshigh
I built an organization to over 30k ten years ago..... this is how it was done. Funny how we let technology get in our way....

Thanks Eric for reminding me of the fundamentals!
  • billrogers
Real meat of the industry. Glad to hear you are going to give special details via a webinar. I will be there.
Keep up the sharing, we are so blessed to have you as a mentor.

No meetings , no money , no money no honey
  • ericworre
    Hahahahaha
  • duhamel
Looks like the start of another great week...
  • This is the one skill I really need to work on. We do meetings but not enough of them. Need to do a better job at events.

We do many things good but really need to work on this skill.
  • I understood, i am going to developing that skills, thank you Eric for wake up call.
  • I agree with you 100%! Being a great promoter allows people to see the big picture and also they might find someone that they relate too,and say to themselves " If they can do it! I can do it too" You said you have over 100 books that teach you about being a great promoter, can you name some?
  • robbinsaturniewicz
The webinar sounds great.. We have local events every few weeks, during the Holidays it has slowed down and that has passed through to building my team. We have lacked growth with fewer events.
  • nancyeldred
    Signed - Sealed - Delivered .. I'm registered

Looking forward to your Meetings Make Money Webinar Event - I want to do better then I have in the past with Network Marketing. I have great support and help at the company I'm with now - there's so much to learn and experience about this business. I'm so glad Elizabeth Harrington told me about you and your web site. The power and outcome of .. word of mouth referrals ... WOW
  • ritafulton
I am excited to learn this technique. Getting folks to an event has many trials to an effective end. I could probably write a book on the excuses I have heard after a firm committment to show..and they do not.

Thanks Eric..see you on February 3.
  • true, we are in a promoting business and if you can promote events and get people to them it will do more than trying to do everything with each person. It gives you leverage.
  • bryantkeefe
I have signed up and I am excited! Thank you Eric.
  • I am always pumped after a good event. Makes sense that we need to get people to attend those events, too.

Any pointers on how to become good at inviting people to those events?
  • So true that events are what drive your business. This is a big challenge for me I will admit and be humble about it. Being in Canada 98% of our company events are in the USA. I attend every convention but do have some difficulty getting others there as well. Will be listening on the webinar I am sure.
  • janetrajala
Your webinar scheduled fo 2/3/10 sounds great! I'm hooked and have signed up. "See" you then.
  • bdsfortune
looking forward to event on feb.3rd. I think events are good not to just grow your business but to get connected with your business partners. thanks Eric
  • The commitment to the dream, to the program and to your team are events in action. To get people there you have to be there too.
  • ericworre
We have to help you get some momentum on this one my friend. :)
  • Connor J McDonald
A more true statement has never been said. Events really do take care of pretty much everything - just plug and play!
  • kayanita
My focus has been changed to get more ppl to meetings, I am releasing some of the training responsibility to the millionaires in our company, what a weight off my shoulders! Had 17 ppl at one of our first big events. Then got off track. Thanks for setting us straight again, Eric.
  • jc13
Hey hi. Why do we do that? My wife and I built a good start to our ppl business and then got off track for ten years. Crazy.
  • kayanita
Brain dead i guess! And we hate that in our ppl right? "What is easy to do, is easy not to do" by late, great Jim Rohn.
  • garyparmenter
I' m looking forward to the Feb. 3 webinar! Thanks!
  • brunocyr
The skill on how to invite is as important. If you have the best event but no guest, what's the point?
  • William M
Man Eric you hit the Nail on the Head! I've heard you train one that one topic for about 2 hours at least.
Still have have my notes, this made me go dig them up. I will be there on the 3rd. I really need to get
this down. Thanks a whole Bunch!
  • I can see this is an important skill to possess that will help me build my network marketing business. I will be on the webinar, looking forward to it.
  • carolbarrett
Thanks Eric. I can't wait for the February 3rd webinar.
  • smreed
Looking forward to your Feb.3 webinar to learn the skills to effectively promote events!
  • nikomachi
Interesting. I would never have put that skill as the most important skill. I guess I am still stuck with the mentality that the person that is best at selling wins ;-)
  • paulsoto
thanks Eric, we see that all the time, promoters get the big money...
  • I understood that after a long time.
This is an event driven profession, more than a speaking profession.
And I still remember that "...if you love me..." line you thought me :).
    It works!

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues
  • roberthirabayashi
The live event was a smash-hit! The presentation was a huge success.
  • Steve_Nelson
Easy to overlook this skill. I know its true because the people who have the biggest teams are promoting events most often and attend every one. The upcoming webinar seems like a no brainer...I'm looking forward to it!
  • Art D. lasvegas
Great insite on events....it only makes sense to get prospects there. Thanks Eric.
  • destrie
Thank you Eric, that is definitely a skill I will work hard on.
  • Events take all the "weight" off my back.
They build everything without me being an active participant, other than bringing people to the events.

Do you agree than when starting from scratch without and active upline in the area I have to invite people to my own events? Start with small household events and presentations and build it till it's big enough?

    Thanks.
  • ericworre
Yes, but it's usually best to use 3rd party tools to help you with the presentation.
  • João, boas e um bom ano para ti.
Olha que o teu link aqui, dá página não encontrada.
    Abraço
    Alfredo
  • maariee
Thank you Eric. I will work on that skill.
  • The leaders in our company really stress the importance of events too. I'm looking forward to all the wisdom we can absorb from you in the webinar!
  • jbledsoejr
Meetings make MONEY...promoting events is definitely a skill that I must improve on. Thanks for sharing Eric!
  • jacob stiner
Hey Eric Thanks for the important training I agree to every word and do it every day about me Huobinr Did you record it? we have a challenge with the hours in Israel .thanks
  • ericworre
Yes it will be recorded. Those who register will be able to view it 24/7
  • Hi, Eric! You know, I don´t miss any event here in Brasil, I am getting ready for my next I AM AGEL next March in Rio de Janeiro and have been inviting people now. Hope to meet you there...;-)
  • ericworre
Attending every event is a personal commitment. Getting a growing group of people to go with you, that's a personal SKILL.
  • Obrigado pelo contato, em breve estaremos lhe respondendo.
    Thank you for contact us!
  • Yes...I agree with you! Thank you...!
  • Eric how often does a company put on meetings, or do you have a recommendation? Is the real success in putting on your own? Cheers Andy
  • ericworre
Every company is different. Sometimes it's necessary to put on your own, but not too often.
  • Thanks Eric.

I started watching your show having discovered you from your appearance with Gary Vaynerchuk.

I was in a couple of network marketing companies nearly 10 years ago and from there moved into internet marketing full time. I can see now from your shows that back then I only knew a tiny part of what I needed to know to succeed.

I have stayed in touch with one other company here in the UK that I came into contact with and it is through your shows that I can see what I would have to do if I were to promote them.

So I guess I am trying to say I appreciate all the great content and case studies, it's a real education for me.

    Cheers

    Andy
  • Ok, I am in!! I want to learn from the master. Last webinar was great. I am sure this one is going to be better.
  • hpena
I can credit ONE big event for me being in this profession for 10 years. Within the first month of joining this industry, my sponsor DRAGGED ME to a big event in New York city. There was more VISION in that room than anything I had ever seen in my entire life up to that point. From that point on, I was hooked.

Thinking back to all the mistakes I've made in the industry, the one think that redeemed me each time was attending an event. I guess that's because there was always someone there that made more mistakes than I did and acheived massive success. That's how I learned that more failure equals more success.

Skills; learning how to promote events, invite contacts, getting people to see a bigger picture. Develop skill; focus on what I can do to be able to learn and teach how we can get more people to events. Someone is buying and someone is selling; don’t buy excuses, sell reasons. Promoting events! Get info; influence, promotion, helping others see a vision, at least 100 books. Duplicate an event; create a culture.
  • jaredlow
Events grow the business! It's so vital that the prospect sees the opportunity way way beyond yourself!

    Thanks a million, Eric!
  • tyroneholmes
    Thank You Eric.
  • Don Harrington
Great opportunity. What time is this event? I this something we can click on to with a password and see when we are available?

Great points about being a promoter. The things that get promoted get done.
  • chriskemp817
Events definitely get you motivated and excited!
  • Damijan81
Thats a really important skill to have, i rarely do anything these days without having an event to plug people into. Nothing gets people going faster then that.
  • Einar
I have signed in probably many times, I think the 9,95 was taken many times out of my card. So I will definately be at the seminar 3.2.10. I look forward to it.
  • ericworre
We will make sure it was only charged once. To be positive, please send me an email at askeric@networkmarketingpro.com
  • It is for the most important skill....the thing is to get your team to feel the same way ! Any suggestions to, how to make new teammembers feel the urge to join a event ?
  • Yup! Events is key :) Just returned from one and it's like puting gasoline on a car :)
  • Cee_G
    Hi Eric...
This subject of this post was perfectly timed. I am working on getting people to attend an event this week and your tips were great. Looking forward to your webinar!
  • ybimbalanced
    Events are key,, sounds great!
  • Cool!
  • Events are the fuel for those people who takes our industry seriously. Attend events is being together with like minded people and have some experiences and learning moments from each other. Mr. Worre you're absolutely right....again..lol. Take care my friend and regards from your biggest fan.
  • Margaret
meetings are the best way to get people in front of the information and large events are excellent
  • hlj521
Eric, Thank you! Inviting has been a "hitch in my get-a-long" and I can't wait to improve on this skill! I have been with my NWM company for about 4 years and have been trying everything else because of the fear that if I invite people to an event that they will say NO and I won't know how to respond. I can't wait to begin to focus on getting people in front of the presentation and then let the presentation do the work. Thank you for your guidance!
  • jeffreyhall
Events are the basis of what we do, it provides the excitement, the buzz, the electricity to allow people to see the bigger picture and get a glimpse of what they can become if they are willing to work at it and stick to it.
  • Erik
    I have registered allready :)
  • soxfan071
Invite people to attend every event, big or small. Persuasion, letting them know what is in it for them. I need to get better at using all the tools.
  • peterburrows

yes, it's all about promoting! yourself and your events.
It's all about branding. if you can brand yourself and you know how to brand the event, you will experiance great success.

  • drpricedc
Very interesting, that is why I watch you everyday, to learn new skills from someone with your level of success...especially skills that I never really acknowledged as being important. Intersting, I will be on the webinar.
  • lucbehar

Even if middle of the night in Europe!
    CU there

I remember the old days in Amway. Great events. Plus there was a tape every month that was usually recorded at an event. They could be magic.
It seems like a lot of companies don't use events anymore.
  • alltheverybest
Can't wait. Attending an event is one thing - attending WITH someone is something quite else. If everybody just brings 1 new person....
  • veronikakari
    Dear Eric,
I agree to some ectend with you this time, or I can say under one condittion - the event has to be first class event. I have seen several of such events and in some cases, to be honest, I was glad that people did not have time to come as that event would just discourage them - I have discussion with those who attended and they made comments that "it was one of the worst they have seen and will not join".
Many people has attended some kind of meeting of MLM and they are tired of them. But the fact that you seen broader picture of things is important.
  • Eric you are the Golden Nugget Master ;) I'm already pumped about learning the skills of event(s) promotion.
  • annenz
I agree a skill that needs huge improvement. With thanks
  • Hi Eric,
Thats definitely a skill I need to improve.
I'll book a place on the webinar and bring my team.
  • Thanks Eric, a skill I need to improve, booking on the webinar.....
  • dawnmarielagmay
Aloha Eric, I am looking forward to the class! I agree that this one skill tops all others and is the greatest value of all!~ Eagerly waiting to hear more details about signing up for the couse! Take care!~ Dawn

    Hi Team
I have signed up for the Feb 3rd event. Those that are serious about this business will. Do not ever ever let the dreamstealers take away this opportunity from you, if you have the passion nothing will stop you.
    Kind regards

This is really important, my first meeting had a decisive influence on my career in networkmarketing so I want to learn more about selling events.
  • ilkka
It is nice to have these new ahaas every day:=)

Another area for improvement from my point of view.
  • Lotta
That is soo true. Promote all events thats is one of my challenge this year.
  • Kjell Englund
I´m just in the beginning of my business and this weekend I am going to my first event ever in Rome to get the whole picture myself. I´m sure my sponsor masters the skill :-)
  • Promotion is everything!! No matter what we are trying to have a prospect or team member see, hear, read or attend, being a great promoter is key!!
  • eabus
Good idea. Developing this skill wont hurt anyone.
I am not bad at it but I know there is some room for improvement.
  • You know what SIR! I lack many other useful and necessary skills that we need in our NM Business but am fast onto developing them. Your message of the day "Promoting Events, making someone attending and participating in events really bring value to them and it helps build the other skills as well.

We have a training event today and am more conscious to make it happen today.
  • hcapcarp
I'll bring my team to your webinar
  • Agneta Rebo
We were talking about this in the weekend - that we need to have more people at the events. It´s really nice then to here you talk about how important that is. We are on our way :)
  • rayteo
Event promotion is definitely something that's finally starting to sink in with my team. We have never gotten very far with 1-1 or small group prospecting. We'll give a run for our money this year!
  • wouterdeprez
My sponsor surely masters this skill:)
  • gabisahar
    Dear Eric,
I got it. Inviting to events and attending events. Improving my skills of invitation.
    Thank you Eric.
  • Agneta Rebo
We were talking about this in the weekend - that we need more people at the events. So it´s nice to hear you say that this is important. We are on our way :)
  • mariasiro

  • latachia_2
Great show! The art of promotion.A lot of our leaders in my company have been saying the same thing as well , on our training calls. Ther's always a new event going on hotel, meetings, trainings,conventions.......
  • Paco_Carreno
I definitely agree because I've experienced the fact of going to the events... I must confess they are changing me and making me a better professional... so it's not hard to understand the power an event has in the process of having a bigger special... Thanks Eric.
  • Most important skill - promoting meetings!
Once you been to a event you understand why! Heading for I am AGEL - Rome this weekend!
On events you get the whole picture - and makes decisions! And thats why meetings makes money....
  • georgeman
Wow, and all this time I was thinking that prospecting was most important. I guess once you get their attention, you have to know where to point them by promoting. O K, I'm with you on this philosophy, Thank You for the tip, great one.
  • nateforrest
In today's age, get people to online webinars in addition to live events. Do these two things with large numbers of people and you will win big in network marketing!
  • keith murfet
Brilliant idea Eric! Somebody always has an event scheduled (us included) so thank you. We'll be there.
  • Vern Trabue
I have to agree with Eric that learning to do events is a way to build a large business and make more money.

  • Jorge Longoria
meetings make money. i like that and i am also agree with that. those kinds of event have a huge impact in every single person who attended. I will keep that in mind and i will search for some development of that skill. thanks!
  • juanfernandogutierrez

  • beckydesabah
Great topic about a great skill to develop.
  • Jillian
Thanks - great to get a head start on an early posting. I certainly am lacking in this department so thanks so much for the opportunity
  • Arnold Thompson
I agree, events have had a huge impact on me and I know it helps grow an organization. The belief within an organization grows 10 fold at an event. I look forward to the Feb. 4th webinar. We always need to be improving our team's attendance at events and I look forward to learning how to become a pro at promoting events.
  • ericworre
    Feb 3
  • Marion
I agree but I haven't been very successful at getting my team to attend all events. - so I have already signed up for the webinar, looking forward to it.
btw - great surprise getting the early posting, thanks:)
  • JudasPierce
    meetings make money and fun!
  • Sounds great! Eric - I plan to go PRO and I will be there! As it is I talk to almost everyone I meet... I just need to earn how to get more people to the events!!! How to learn to say what I need to say so it comes off my tongue naturally!
  • Meetings are the most powerful way to build your business, bar none!
  • I have a goal of just attending an event once a month. It is a little stretch for me if the events are long distance--a little more of a challenge.
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hi Eric we have the next event in Mexico city on February 6th and 7th .
    Saludos.
    Daniel y Natali Qro.
  • I'll be there! I registered for the webinar a few days back, I think. I know events are huge and a great way to leverage your time and create excitement, so I'm definitely looking forward to learning more about promoting them.

Our company does some very cool regional events now, so I want to learn how to really promote those as well as promote smaller events local to me.
  • See you on the 3rd! How true it is, that getting people to the events takes the eyes off of you. Thank you Eric, for everything you do!
  • lopazelasane
Yes I agree 100% percent becoming a MASTER promoter is a GREAT skill to learn and not just for network marketing for many other business ideas you might have...
  • jpmendoza
Signed up for the webinar, I am a student of this profession!
  • emmettb
Great thought, I really like letting some one with more experience handle the presentation.
  • bobmeguyer
Some trainers say "Inviting" is the number 1 skill. So do they mean inviting to events? Are you saying getting people to attend BIG events or do you count in-homes, conference calls, webinars as events?
  • From successful promoters or books learn the art of promoting. Getting people to attend NM events is a top priority skill to learn, because meetings make money.

Sign at an Optometrist's Office: "If you don't see what you're looking for, you've come to the right place."
  • Interesting having my first event this comeing Saturday so we'll see if they come.
  • bethascoli
I love when I get my NMPRO early!!! Thanks Eric :)

Got my ticket, and I'm looking forward to the Feb. 3rd webinar, because this is a skill I know I really need to get better at. And I got some really valuable information from the last webinar, so I know this one will be great too.
  • Luis Gringras
    Eric

We have my plan for next 12 events, it is a excellent moment to learn more about how to promote, we need to double the people attending from de January to February event.
  • kamalharris
I'm going to the link and i'm signing up for the webinar right now. I will be promoting this webinar to my team as well so they can get a thorough understanding of not only why we tell them to come to the events but why it's important that the message is conveyed throughout their organizations as well.
  • gmolina
Getting people in the seats, realizing that sometimes its better for someone else to help sell your product, makes perfect sense..
  • drmikempa
    I'm in!
  • deniseschnitzer
I love that, especially the alliteration: Meetings make money! I see how that is true. I especially like the social proof and the peer pressure. Thanks for this!
  • DianaValdez
Getting people to attend events has been a hard one for me. I'm glad all this can be learnt!

    Thank you Eric!
  • rayrios
Great info. Question? Should the invitation to meetings be done prior an exposure?
  • Ellis3
This is so timely Eric! I am relaunching my business with my new company and only 40 days in and we are doing a week of massive events and promotion for more events this week! I am there for the Feb 3rd webinar man and sending my people there too!
  • Gakungu
I'm in Eric! I want to be a world class promoter.
  • Leaders are born at events. Events build teamwork, confidence and create a sense of community on our teams. Use the experience of your team to help build your organization.
  • We've registered to see you on the 3rd..... Oh.. and we'll be here for the rest of the challenge! Thanks Eric!
  • denisekay
I have a burning desire to have the "come to our Event" skill. Eric my friend your point is recieved and its time to walk the talk and talk more and more and more.

    Much repect for your skill.
  • So who made the most money from that KISS Concert you took your son to? Probably the Event Promoter.
  • bartar20
So True Eric, I look forward to the webinar on Feb 3/10. I have already registered for it.

    Barry
  • keithraines
Events and meeting do build credibility from a 3rd party approach.
  • Magdalena
Promoting as number one skill...interesting thought.
  • claralondono
ok Eric you are insisting over and over about this ..so it will be. Now organizing monthly local events...will let you know what happens!!
    Clara
  • breynolds
That is so true! There is unbelievable power in the 3rd party credibility that comes from large events!
  • carolmcwilliams
To be honest I have resisted the idea of meetings as it reminds me of the old school MLM where the person brings all the hype to the stage and whips out the white board and starts drawing circles and finishes with the high pressure tactics. This has always been my block around MLM, hence my resistance about thinking positively toward events. So my question is how to create events that inspire, come from a place of authenticity and express truth. You have opened my mind to thinking differently about events and bringing people to them. I understand clearer that it gives the bigger picture, and leverages my time. The key question I have is How to overcome others blocks around attending? I know it starts with clearing my limiting beliefs first, and NM Pro is helping with me with this. I will look forward to your webinar as I have a tendency to buy people's excuses, and want to improve on this skill so I can inspire others to look forward to coming.
  • jc13
If the event isn't authentic then maybe the business model (products, company, etc.) aren't authentic. The most successful companies serve a true need in the marketplace. When that happens it becomes a heart to heart talk about reality.
  • I tried to get my mom into network marketing for years! Then she finally agreed to go to an event and she is hooked! Thanks for this.
  • bethascoli
I heard that this happened to someone in my company...there was an event going on in her dad's town and she said 'dad, I just want you to see what it is that I'm doing and meet some people I'm working with, but you don't have to do anything." He agreed to come and once he was there, he could really relate to the speaker, and he started to look at it differently. He ended up signing up soon after that! Not everyone who comes to a meeting is going to sign up, but they can be great for moving people who are on the fence, or helping them understand it better.
  • Episode 7 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Challenge Throw Down!

This is THE SKILL that I am working on building this year ! Thanks Eric. Count me in for the seminar! We have already booked our first 2 events here in Indy as per the game plan in the December webinar. Thanks for the Mentorship.
  • Great advice Eric. I now see how focusing on developing this skill would be huge!
    Thanks, my man.
  • bartonmurray
getting people to come is a true art...thanks Eric
  • cherisizzles
This is SOOOOO true!!! This is something I am terrible at, and definitely need to get good at this. I will BE at the webinar with bells on! I just haven't figured out how to get people past the point of being interested to the point of actually attending a meeting. Can't wait!!
  • tomlacey
