  • What a timely show. This past few months we did two meetings where no one showed up...We did the presentation anyway.....Learning from failures is what will make you successful in life. Consistency and honesty are the key.
  • KeithN
Your failures don't define your future. They are merely parts of your story. Pick a good company. Be Honest. Be consistent with your activity.
  • Elaine Baril
Honesty is the best policy. Be consistant. Get focused and stay with it.

So many messages, but what stands out is to never give up
  • Luis (Pelon)
No-shows have been frustrating, we still try to have good time with the team and we try to meet people again.

BUT AS HE SAW IT WITH A POSSITIVE ATTITUDE AND JUST A MILESTONE AND SOMETHING TO GET THROUGH FOR BETTER TIMES, WELL IT'S THE BEST WAY I SEE IT AND YES SIT... HONESTY, CONSISTENCY, NEVER GIVING UP, BEING POSSITIVE, CHOOSING THE RIGHT COMPANY, AND SO MUCH MORE!! IS JUST ONE MORE PUSH ONE MORE BOOST OF ENERGY, ONE MORE.. IT'S OK YOU WILL BE FINE!!! AND JUST MAKES YOU CONTINUE!!! ERIC I WILL SEE YOU SOON IN OUNE OF THE BIG EVENTS... THAT I KNOW, IT'S A STONE COLD FACT!!! YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE, KEEP IT UP WE ARE RIGHT WITH YOU!!
  • travelprohawaii
Wow everyone has started not from the top. Its a profession and to always stay the course and be persistent and consistent. Thanks.
  • Carlos Perez
Staying Focus and been consistant are very important in the business
  • Luis Gringras
Smile on his face, from the inside, not from external material thinks, when you know where are you going,
  • Simply go forward, day in day out. Simply go forward in a not straight line.

    Thanks Eric.

    NOTES:

    Defining moments:
The declined credit card. Was that embarrasing? Was it difficult? Yes. Did it make me stop? No. Just dealt with it and kept going.
Sleeping in the concrete floor of the airport.

What brings the smile to my face? These moments with the credit card and the airport.

It isn't a straight line to the top. Presentations without any guest re-sponsoring the person. It's about averages: zero in one night, 30 in the next.

What do people have to do to experience a breakthrough in the next year?
Fake it till you make it... forget about that! Honesty is the best policy, even if it's embarrasing.
Build the business till your proud of showing the backoffice
Make a commitment after you chose the right company.
Be consistent in the activity, day in day out, week in week out, and simply go forward.

Tell the truth: you don't have to have memory this way.
  • juanpablorico
    Grat intervew!!! Thanks Eric!!
  • gmolina
Dealing with situations and pushing through the issues and pressing on IS what one needs to do to be successful.. AND, picking a great company, being consistent is the key..
  • jeanalbert
Honesty and consistency day in and day out.

  • jlt0wn
consistent & persistence with honesty works.
  • AdvocareJax
Sherman's story offered so much value to me. I am going through that similar point in my business right now. It is important to maintain honesty and integrity. I know we are going to break through by continuing to do what other successful people have done before us.
  • ronaldvandomburg
I'm happy to hear this stories and to realise, that it goes up and down and isn't a straight line up to the roof...
  • Inger
I think that having a real rough time makes your desire grow to get out of that situation...
People do appreciate when they notice you're being honest, also when they join and everything they've been told so far turns out to be correct with no hidden parts.
  • penaltybox1
    I'm all ears !!!
  • crwood1967
Oh boy, how many of us have done those meetings with no guest, too many to remember. I think what's worse, is showing up to a meeting and you're the only marketer that doesn't have a guest! That is the worst feeling out there!
  • Connie Tolton
Love seeing it in pieces then together. It allows me to focue on one aspect and then putting it all together.

    Connie T
  • mspaulamc

  • Sherman is really cool! What a warm personality. Always tell the truth, great standard.

Thank you Eric and Sherman for this interview. I grabbed many key "nuggets"
  • I liked this part of interview as much as I liked the others. To get a full picture and remember important things for me is to watch the complete interview and only after that move forward with you, Eric.
  • I'd been told to fake it until you make it. I was never happy with that.
  • Athletes4Health
I'm sooooo thankful that my past doesn't determine my future; not only regarding network marketing but all other aspects in life.
  • randers1
Fantastic stories! Exposure mentality is a drastic new perspective. Fake it until you make it isn’t realistic. Make honesty a policy. Decision, commitment, and consistency.
  • Jeroen Lingier
    Wow, what a personality.
You just got to like mr Unkefer.
Honesty and commitment: two great qualities indeed.
Where did i hear this before? You can't be a partially honest.

  • Integrity is the cornerstone to success...
  • raybeattie
Make the commitment, Honesty, consistency, tell the story, tell the story, tell the story.

    Thanks Eric.
  • krisic
Honesty is the best policy! I drive a vehicle that has over 215,000 miles on it and building my business is taking longer than expected; but that is also my motivation. When people see me succeed, than they know that they can do this too
  • jennyc
honesty and commitment, great qualities to have
  • alcamacho
I just started my Hotel open house, this Thursday will be my second for 2010. Thank you for letting me know that I'm on the right track.

  • Daniel W. Cook III
    #15
Always good to hear successful peoples old battle stories. The "I went straight to the top" stories are great but I can't relate to them. Thanks for keeping it real.
  • Jilliangene
Wonderful interview - truth will set us free. Love it. Thank you both.
  • defining moments always catapult us in a new direction. for some it leads to improvement, accomplishment and success and unfortunately, some people go the other way and can be destruction, bad habits and despair.
  • JenniferDu79
Wow. You can definitely see what sets those who will succeed apart from those that won't. The ability and willingness to do what other won't. I know a lot of people who would quit before sleeping on the floor in the airport.
  • Thanks for some good ideas and a lot of inspiration.
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
What a great sharing. Learning from people like Sherman is a great thing. We could capitalize every hard time in such a way that we obtain greater rewards

Simple: Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks for all the great content
  • susanclark
#225 - Sherman Unkefer Complete and Uncut - I loved the whole interview. Sherman is amazing and his honesty is so refreshing. My college daughter and partner in the business had to come home due to illness and I asked her to watch this video with me. She is not feeling well but thoroughly enjoyed Sherman. Thanks Eric and Sherman.
  • Steve_Nelson
    "Honesty is the best policy"
l can't stand when people hide in this business or hype it up.
  • Pepeneto
Wow. That defining moments tell us clearly the "non stop" philosophy. You must get through the hard times to one day you can watch behind and smile.
  • andreabyrge
I really appreciate the advice on saying being honest and not espousing "fake it til you make it." One of the women in my company just said to me today that you are grossly underpaid in the beginning and grossly over paid in the end and I think it is so much better to tell your prospect that and have them understand the stakes upfront than to set them up for disappointment and ultimately quitting.
  • Edith.Kohler
    I loved the interview
    thanks again
  • Jay VanNostrand
the notion of building so you'd be proud for anyone to see your backoffice is very provacative
  • I liked this segment a lot! Honesty and consistance are 2 important factors for success. As Mr. Randy Gage says; "Freedom is never free - there is always a price to pay" We all have to go through ups and downs, with the right attitude and be focused on our daily activities.
  • Inger
    My thoughts exactly!
  • "There is no straight line to the top" - some days its good to hear the message again. Hard work and honesty are key! Great job Eric & Sherman.
  • cherisizzles
It's so nice to know that Sherman had to work hard and go through the trying times at the beginning of his successful career. And I just love the story about his meeting in Laguna Beach where nobody showed up, but he still did his presentation for his wife. Wow. That shows such dedication and fortitude. Such a genuine and sweet person. Thanks!
  • Kjell Englund
"Build your business so you can be proud to share your backoffice with anyone", I love those words.
Powerful advice, Thank you very much, Sherman.
  • "You need to build a business, consistently enough that you proud to share your back office with someone. That they can look and see the results week by week, month by month, year by year."
Be consistent at what you are doing and be absolutely honest and just tell the truth, so that way you don't need to have a good memory :D
  • Irina
I agree that honesty is the best policy. Consistency and exposure.
  • gingerva
Great lesson, all successful Network Marketers have a story and the lessons they have learned and the tough times on their journey to financial Independence becomes part of their story. And we don't have much of a story without the tough times.

Make a commitment, pick the right company for you, be honest and real (not get rich quick) and be consistent.
  • PaulineP
Tell the truth and simple business. Stay focused, consistent, patience and passion. YES!
  • luciabrazell
stay on track just keep going you fall you get up and help your team do the same wow i'm very eager to see what happens to me
  • Be persistent in your efforts, always be honest, and get back up off the ground when you feel like you have been kicked in the teeth. Thank you for the great interview.
  • donham298
Sherman is very refreshing. I love the honesty
  • John Spardella
You don't have to kill yourself, just keep moving forward. Be consistent. Expose, expose, expose. I think I got it. But only time will tell for sure.
  • veronikakari
Basically what does not kill you, makes you stronger. I really have to start working hard on that exposure.
  • andreas papaksotas
    great interview!
  • Frank Diaz
Just be honest and Go on
  • bdsfortune
I believe that honesty and consistency is key to success.
  • What makes the "right" company? Aside from the obvious shady business, is it just looking for the product and culture that fits an individual? I know many believe that you have to be in on the ground floor - how do you feel the opportunity changes over time? I notice that most million dollar earners have been associated with several companies - what made them unsuccessful with a previous company? If changing companies was not due to lack of success what was the reason for their change?
  • turjcxg
Eric, thank you once again for the work you do with NMPRO!

The honesty that you and Sherm share about your journey to the top ENCOURAGES me to keep going. Especially when last night I had a presentation scheduled with a friend of mine. I had to take my kids along with me because I didn't have the money to pay the babysitter. My kids are 6 and 9 and I've trained them to pack their "briefcases" for these meetings so I don't have to pay a babysitter. They sit there quietly and color. The "friend" didn't show up and also didn't call me to tell me he couldn't show up. You know the drill, sit there and wait for a while, call them on the phone, get the excuse...

My kids and I were disappointed but we made the best of it anyway and talked to someone else about the business while we were there then headed home after I got them a treat for their patience.

It's your shows like the one today that help me realize that my kids and I (we're building our business together) are not alone! Thank you for your honesty Eric and Sherm. You guys are such an inspiration to us all!
  • gingerva
What a great story, going above and beyond AND teaching your kids to make the best of a situation even when someone else doesn't keep their word. Is this going to be part of Your Story?
  • turjcxg
I'm not sure. I'll ask my kids what they want to say when we get to the highest rank in our NM company because it's as much their story as it is mine.
  • Thank you Sherman and Eric.
This whole interview was very informative and I know that there are a lot of useful information from this that I can benefit from.
  • I think this was the best interview so far
  • seija
Be honest and consistent, stay focused!
  • hpena
Transparency is king. What sets us apart as Professionals is that we don't use hype and cliches to build our business. It does take work, it does take time. So what if it takes you 5 years to hit $50,000 a month; how long does it take to do that with a traditional job or business?. There is a double standard (misconception) that we must overcome; prospects say "this better not be a get rich quick scheme" and then they say six months later "why aren't you rich yet".

It starts with the expectations we set, thats why I agree with Sherman that we have to be fully transparent to build a reputable business. If we all do that, we'll reshape the industry.

  • bethascoli
I appreciate Sherman sharing some of his personal stories with us. I think we all have some bumps in the road, and once we're past them we can look back and laugh. I also agree that honesty is always the best policy.
  • BetterCoffee.dk
    Wow, Sherman sure is honest!
He is a great proponent of the message as he comes across as a very likeable and believeable person.
Love the part about honesty and visibility.
I'm always suspecious when people will not share their stats.

I don't know if there's some reasoning behind it, but a lot of my upline is very hesitant in that direction.
Now, I'm the kind of person who likes to feel informed. I like to know the facts.
When people are wishy washy when I ask a direct question I instinctively have reservations with that person.
Don't get me wrong, I can accept if people will not share certain information. As long as they tell me why.

I'd like to hear some thoughts on that.

    Jens Larsson
  • AviPeer
If you have the belief that you are going to succeed nothing will stop you.
  • smreed
Such a nice gentleman. His honesty and sincerity really shows. I really enjoyed this interview.
  • peterburrows
What a charming gent.....no wonder Sherman has been a success.
  • mlvw
    Nothing but the truth!

Looking for Leaders – Leaders are found, not made.

Sort. Sort. Sort. Potential leaders will identify themselves.

    Accumulation of empirical data.

It does not pay to beg, persuade or coerce people.

I do meetings to find leaders.

Leaders come early, stay late, and ask for your help.

If someone was to offer you $5,000 to attend the meeting, would you go?
How many meetings would you do a month?

    The math - $1,000,000 / 200 meetings = $5,000

You can do all the right things with the wrong company and it may implode.

Make a commitment. Very exciting. More tomorrow.
  • beckydesabah
Honesty, focus and a "no matter what" will ... and the rest will come.
  • hillin
    Tomorrow the uncut version
  • hcapcarp
great stuff guys good to know that leaders have struggled but did not lose sight of their goals.
  • I've really enjoyed this series with Sherman. Like any business we have our up and downs and you've inspired us to keep going when we hit those bumps by being honest and persevering.
  • Whatever it takes!
  • Consistency and Being Focused! I'm on it!
  • Bea Resnick
This was my favorite interview of the four. I so appreciate his honesty and humility. And I wholeheartedly agree with his advice to forget about "faking it 'til you make it." Being real is a gift to everyone. Thank you both!
  • carolmcwilliams
I loved this interview. Sherman was so genuine, honest and real. Th nugget that stays with me is how important it is to keep strong, focused and moving forward when disappointment, struggle and frustration happen. it seems every big earner has this characteristic (among many) They do not let the little bumps keep them down, but rather bounce back stronger and with clear vision. WOW, such great insights into the keys to building success. Off to read something inspirational before bed!
  • HoracioMejia
The best interview I have ever heard in Network Marketing! Parallel to exposure of the opportunity and meetings, is self-development. Lack of self confidence is the reason that many people drop out of MLM. Self confidence and Honesty makes us travel light and increases our credibility. You dont hear peace, confidence and honesty. You feel them and that, for me, is a major convincing tool for new prospects. Thank you for this interview.
  • theuns
    Hi Eric

This was so good i love it , We must not let
small things that happen to us hold us back
    from your dreams .
  • latachia_2
Don't fake it until you make it. Be honest.Do your daily activity& be consistant.I really enjoyed this interview. I can't wait until tomorrow,to see the ubcut version. Thank you Eric, for these great interviews.
  • Gakungu
Thank you Sherman on the advice of staying consistent in this business. And Thank you Eric for organizing these remarkable interviews.
  • feltricks
Really one of my favorites interviews.
I can feel the kindness of Mr. Unkefer.
Big lesson about honesty, and of course consistency.
    I really appreciate it.
You are the man Eric, thank you very much.
  • rosslopez
Be consistant, be honest, thell allways the truth, get focussed, make a commitment with yourself and with the people you are working with, use the tools, use the meetings, discipline yourself, I love all these basics to grow up our business.
I agree is not a straight line to get to the top but the best is to learn of all of them.

Thanks a lot Eric for sharing with us these awesome interviews
    Hugs from Mexico
    Rossana =o)
  • Thank you Mr. Unkefer. I appreciate your willingness to share.
  • Vern Trabue
What an outstanding interview! Eric...thank you very much! You and your guests continue to inspire me!
  • dterrell
Being consistent in your activity is key to building your business! Thanks Sherman!!!
  • rmonte
terrific interview. There is nothing like learning from seasoned veterans who have the battle scars to prove it and somehow at the end are much better for it. Thanks!

    Rick M
  • mchalk
This is an excellent interview that shows the integrity, honesty and determination of your guest. This really is a people industry and Sherman shows how he is just as willing to meet with one person at one time as he is to meet with a whole group. I really get the feeling that he never underestimates the potential of every person he meets.
  • Tarashon Broomes
honesty is always the best quality...i love that....so true, its better to be real with someone than give a false impression...despite any disappointments or any embarrassments always keep working and pushing until u get those results you want... i like his defining moment because it shows that he knows where he is coming from and in order to know where your going u have to know where you are coming from
  • Thanks Sherman and Eric. The smile on Sherman's face is so genuine and sweet, that I do believe he is being honest and it is so refreshing!
  • david_high
Honesty is the best policy. Pick the right company and build your business with pride. Do what it takes consistently. Good stuff, thanks again.
  • drpricedc
Keep focused and never give up!!!!
  • This is really a good one for me. I can tell you now that I'll have lots of funny stories (or defining moments) to tell when I become successful. :)
  • georgeman
I've seen the "fake it til you make it" attitude displayed using a fake Rolex and designer glasses with one distributor. I complimented him about the accessories, and he simply answered "fake it til you make it dude", it was about a year and a half ago, and the first time I ever heard the term from anyone (he is a young guy). I was turned off by the whole thing, but man, was it funny now that I think back. This is one of the best (and fastest moving for some reason) interviews, simply great. There are a lot of good pointers, and Sherman is especially honest about things (not withholding embarrassing situations).
  • mikeyfromvegas
Hi Eric, If we all can see what Sherman is saying and you like network marketing the only way we / or all of us can lose is to out right QUICT. If there are people out there that are not sure if thay have the right co. some time change is good QUITING is not
    Mikey
  • Susan Peluso

  • lynn hall
Keep the what ever attitude no matter what.
  • DianaValdez
It's not a straight line to the top, yup, it's never like that. Success seems been defined by overcomed struggles, by keeping focus on your goal no matter how much the carpet under your feet is moving.
  • talya_mitzafon
VERY EMPOWERING SESSION. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE COMPLETE INTERVIEW.
  • kgadol
Consistency ... honesty ... determination ... focus ... the right company. I've got them all covered ... it's just a matter of time. There are highs and there are lows ... we just keep on keepin' on, learning as we go.

    Again, thank you.
  • dlinkhart
It is helpful to hear that even the most successful MLMers have had struggles and picked themselves up and carried on. Determination and persistence to me are the key. Thanks so much!
  • agelfederico
Your defining moment question is GRAND!!!
  • Eric, Excellent interview. Looking forward to having it posted in its entirety. I will sit down on Saturday and take notes from the whole interview like I have most of the others. I've learned a great deal of what I already knew again and again, best part is I'm now putting it to use. On another note, thanks for this challenge, I look forward now to sharing my thoughts everyday. Is there a way to confirm that I haven't missed any comments? I'm sure I have not since day one just want to confirm and go back if I did.
  • gabyroa

  • clairecameron
What an inspriation in terms of determination, doing whatever it takes and holding on to the vision. He must have seen and held on to the vision that network marketing was his vehicle to success or he would have given up many times. Thanks for the inspiration to keep going no matter what.
  • lorijones
Eric & Sherman great interview! I'm so proud to be a part of the same company as Sherman, you are such an inspiration to all of us. Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas (April)! Definetly ups and downs

Just read this and it reminds me of your great interview: Now is a time to be in the trenches with your people, leading, working, and building a successful future. Learn, grow, and improve every day.

We have a significant influence over how things turn out. Believe that the best is yet to come. Faith and belief in a positive future lead to powerful actions today! Ask yourself what actions are you taking today that's going to bring you what you want most!
  • tyroneholmes
I feel Integrity and honesty is the best policy. Thank You Sherman and Eric
  • That's true, there isn't a straight line to the top. Espessially at the beginning we can experience ups and downs, but it's crusial to be consistent and focused in your activity.
This business is simple, but it does not mean easy.
  • juliehawkins
Wow, I guess everyone struggles every now n then and that is ok Sherman thank you for your honesty and great tips on running a business.
  • socorr
thank you Eric and Sherman, I will make it without fake it til you make it, but with honesty, consistents, and hard work,
  • Sorry if I'm stepping on toes or speaking out of place but I feel that Eric created this community for us all to open and honest with one another.

So can we all agree that the proper place to leave comments is here in the community board and not on the video stream. Personally I believe that should be reserved for Eric's comments or links he approves as NM PRO's creator and advocate. You all know who you are, I value your thoughts but it just (in MY opinion) seems a bit like someone yelling: " hey everyone, look at my comment." If I'm wrong or out of line I am truly sorry but I don't think I'm alone or wrong in this thought.
  • I agree, its very distracting to me.
  • Episode 15 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Throw Down Challenge:

Stay focused and driven... Whatever it takes..... Find your company and stay with it. Be consistent and honest.... Fake it til you make it doesn't work...

Thank you Sherman for your down home wisdom and your honesty...

Thank you Eric for All you do , within our company and here on NM PRO...
  • karivankleef
Thank you for a great interview. It is so inspiring to hear that the top income earners didn't go straight to the top. I definitely am building my story with some pretty amazing defining moments based on Sherman's.
  • “If a person is to be called a Network Marketing Professional, they should strive to incorporate all of the qualities that Erick Worre and NetWork Marketing PRO suggests on each of the daily programs. Even as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry, a Network Marketing professional should ply their craft so well, that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great network marketing professional who did his job well.’” – Sherman Unkefer
    Thanks for sharing your story.

Get focused and stay focused. A profound statement that we all should take to heart. This interview was a lesson on consistency and commitment. Thankyou Eric for the time you take out of your busy schedule to bring us information like this.
  • tommycone
What a great interview with Mr Unkefer, Thanks Eric. I have had one on one presentation that neded in a no show. We went to this persons home and no one was home. We knoted on the door and the neighbor came out to tell us we had missed them. The Police had been there earlier taken the residence for a ride. I said that we were so lucky, and my friend ask why. I replied We were not here when the ploice came. What a great day. I love network marketing.
  • tambry
I liked the comment about not a straight line to the top. Good to reinforce this with your people.
  • Dee_Canada
Thanks to Sherm for taking the time to talk to us all!! I LOVE his advice about telling the truth!! Nothing bugs me more than bull$%#@ !! I've always said, the truth is good enough. Thank you Sherman for reinforcing that!!
  • Good stuff Eric and Sherman. Eric, you said my favorite saying... "It's all part of our story"... Awesome interview and I appreciate the both of you for taking the time to put this amazing interview together!! Thanks so much!!
  • Integrity and honesty are always first in any sort of business.
  • happyhealthybob
the fact that Mr. Unkefer is so honest about that. He truly cares. and it makes me truly grateful to know that he has done meetings with no people. i have done more of those that i can count.
  • einargh

Eric, I'm telling you when my Interview comes around, I am going to have a few defining moments, embarrassing moments, running it on a shoe string moments....I think we can all relate to Sherman. What a great interview!! Thanks so much Sherman if you read this!
  • SJ Doug
    Good stuff Eric!
  • Eric I am so glad that I found you and I want to thank you for all of these GREAT teaching interviews that you put together for all of us in the industry. Sherman, you, and all of us know that exposing our businesses to as many people as we can as fast as we can and doing that consistently and persistently is the key to success or failure.

But I would like to add that another key is having a simple and duplicable system that others can follow. Having that in place and creating exposure with consistency will create tremendous results for you and your team members.

I have a lot of catching up to do as far as posting and writing comments on your other videos. I can't wait to get the full interview with Sherman so that I can take notes and listen to it over and over again. I already did that with your previous interview. I Love the work you are doing Eric and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
  • Committment, consistency and honesty.....excellent advice.....Thanks Sherman enjoyed your interview
  • chipc
Great interview. It looks like nice (honest) guys can finish on top!
  • Wonderful job as always Eric....loved Sherm...loved his frankness and his ability to be transparent
  • Paco_Carreno
Once again... when I listen to you talking about the no attendee presentation, moment of reflection... you refill my energy... I'm so happy of having been introduced to Network Marketing profession. I'm moving out a little bit more from my comfort zone and facing my schedule... ha ha ha
  • Connor J McDonald
Commitment and honesty are things that too many people forget about in our industry. Great interview!
  • Make the commitment and then be consistent. Thanks Sherman!
  • Nancy
Be honest, be consistent. Pick a good company. Simple, isn't it? Thank you Mr. Unkefer for sharing your wisdom and experience with us. Thank you Eric for this great interview.

  • Ton Oosterwijk
what a beautiful compliment Mr. Unkefer gave you Eric.
And I'm glad he did. I have been following you now since show 20 or so.
I keeps amazing me;..... the level of willingness and abundance in which the individual best practices are being shared.
  • emmettb
You two make it look so simple, the key that I forget sometimes! It's good to know that not everything works out in the begining too :)
  • gloriavintila
I extracted excellent value out of this interview. Thank you Mr. Unkefer, thank you Mr. Worre. This last part is probably the most important. The degree of honesty may be one of the key factors that influence the reputation of the network marketing profession. Let us encourage honesty. And, I must say it, Eric, ever since I am watching your shows, I also became a big fan of defining moments :)
  • drkay
Thank you. Love his integrity. I am sorry that his wife passed away. She was so important to who he is. But how wonderful that he could take the time to grieve and know that everything would be there when he returned. Really appreciated his honesty in sharing that he took off the 5 months. Where else can you take off that amount of time and keep your job, with a slight pay cut... then back to work and it takes off again. I love this business model. I really love that he was able to be passionate again to help others with their income and their health after such loss to himself. Here's to you, Sherman Unkefer! and God Bless you. Thank you for sharing from your heart.
  • gerrynickerson
    Just get it done.
  • Jose Lopez
Mr. Worre, thanks so much. Good interview.
Mr. Unkefer, I am very sorry to hear about your wife. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and experience with us. You are an inspiration to many, including my self. Best to you and your team!
  • To summarize this last segment, there are no shortcuts! We must constantly improve, we must always be honest with ourselves, our prospects, and our teammates, and we must always persist! What a great interview! I've actually had the debit card decline once while transacting business at a really inopportune time. Now that I know I've found the right program, I'm sticking with it!
  • nickgarrison
One of the most difficult things I face is the question. How much are you making? We are just starting and find this hard to answer. I do believe that honesty is the best policy. I'd rather tell the truth and lose a prospect than lie.
  • Nick I can see no other way of doing it, it has to be this way doesn't it.
  • nickgarrison
    absolutely
  • talya_mitzafon
LISTEN TO THIS ONE: MY PARTNER AND FRIEND, A WONDERFULL YOUNG WOMAN, SHE AND HER HUSBAND ARE NO. 1 DISTIBUTERS OF MY COMPANY IN MY COUNTRY. WE HAD A TRAINIG SESSION WITH HER AND THAT WHAT SHE SHARED WITH US:
" IN THE BEGINING, WHEN WE JUST STARTED OUR BUSINESS, WE INVITED OUR FRIENDS TO JOIN US TO OUR NEW BUSINEES. THEY TOLD US THAT THEY WILL WAIT TILL WE START ERNING MONEY. WHEN WE EARN FEW HUNDRED $ A MONTH WE CAME BACK TO THEM, THEY SAID THAT IT'S NOT ATRACTIVE...... WE CALL THEM AGAIN WHEN THE CHEQUES BECAME BIGGER...... WE GOT SOME OTHER EXCUSEES..... NOW WE EARN OVER 50,OOO $ A MONTH, WE INVITE FRIENDS TO HAVE A LOOK AT OUR GREAT BUSINESS AND WE STILL FIND OURSELVES WAITING FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T SHOW UP" ......
THAT WAS A GREAT LESSON FOR ME!

MY ANSWER TO THE QUESTION "HOW MUCH MONEY YOU DO?" (AND I DON'T EARN MUCH MONEY YET): "IF YOU WANT TO CHECK A BUSINESS CHECK THE COMPENSATION PLANE, CHECK IT AS A BUSINESS. IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO ANY OF MY PARTNERS WHO ALREADY MAKE A LOT OF MONEY IN THIS BUSINESS I CAN ARRANGE YOU A MEETING WITH THEM".
THERE IS NO QUESTION: WE HAVE A BETTER WAY!!!
  • nickgarrison
I like your answer to the money question. I will definitely use it. Thanks.
  • anthonyviglietta
This guy is awesome! It shows that there is hope for us all! Never again can someone use the excuse that they were involved before and it didn't work. Sherman didn't seem to have any real success until his current company. And it looks like he is on track to be one of the top earners of all time. Great stuff Eric!
  • theuns

We know it's true that people do business with people they know, like and trust. Therefore being consistent with your activity which naturally includes honesty and integrity is the obvious path to success. Thank you Sherman for your honesty and Eric for once again a brilliant interview.
  • Always Honest and Consistent. Thanks so much, you always give the BEST info and timely tips.

Great interview, thank you both for it.
The right company, consistancy and honesty combined with two a day (show 220) and you get real growth. In your personal development and in your business.
  • Another great interview. One point that hit home, was honesty and integrity. When I am approached my anyone those are the first signs I look for, so I need to let that shine through when I approach someone.

Thank you for your time Eric & Sherman
  • eddyoshaughnessy
Sherman comes accross as a very nice man , a great spokesman for the industry
  • God I love Sherman - his integrity and goodness just shines through. Even with this cut into 4 pieces his aura just got stronger and stronger. The advice to be honest (that way you don't need to have such a good memory) was brilliant :-)
Thank you to Eric and Sherman for their example: abundant thinking (there's enough opportunity that competitors can help each other) and leadership. Both of you are well on the way to achieving significance!
  • barryburgin77
I always have to come back to personal development after viewing many of these shows. I always have to work on "me". In the past, I have been my own worst enemy. In the present, I am learning to forgive myself when I need to. I know I am going to have those moments, those lapses in commitment because I am only human. But I can still work on it, every day, being consistent in my efforts, whatever the results.
  • denisekay
    Everyone feels good with honesty.
It's show time lets give them all we have.
  • Keeping it real. Good to hear. We're just making our story. Boy, I can't wait until I can tell my story.
  • ahh... defining moments. gotta love em.
  • eabus
Love the "DO NOT FAKE IT" atitude and the
    small setbacks overcoming mindset.
No guest meetings for Eric today?
Wow, that is an eye opener.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and thoughts. I also like your reflections about honesty and company. It's been great following the presentation.
  • pollyhulseman
Love this interview - such great insights. Looking forward to hearing it again tomorrow in its entirety.
  • dawnmarielagmay
Aloha Eric, Lots of great tips. There is one that I am confused with which is whether or not to fake it til you make it or not. I fully understand the concept of honesty being the best policy and that your integrity makes a difference in everything we do, however, there are days when I have been down and had to fake that I had a better reality, to myself, to get motivated and get myself back out there in the field and doing some work. Perhaps if we keep that fake it til we make it as our own mind set its ok? Any opinions gang? Eric?
Hey Eric? I also just realized that sometimes I am leaving my posts as a guest and sometimes logged in, either way they are under my same log in name....is that going to be a problem? I have commented daily. :)
  • Great person with great perspective.
Interesting that the "event" is but a defining moment, it does not define the future.
A true example of facing life's challenges, dealing with them and moving forward with confidence.
Enjoyed all segments of the interview.

  • jessicajablonski
Great interview Eric. It's so neat to be exposed to so many wonderful industry leaders!
  • Great interview Eric and Sherman!

Reminds us of the ups and downs that everyone will go through in order to be successful.

    Thanks Gentleman!
  • ericworre
Hey Brian, could you do me a favor and limit your comments just to this section and not actually in the video stream? I'm getting complaints that it's too distracting. Thanks! I appreciate it!
  • dstfa96
Our profession of network marketing is simple, we just have to remain focused and stick with it. Honesty and Consistency is going to be vital on our journey to achieve success! These interviews are fantastic! Thx Eric! :-)
  • janetrajala
Great interview, as usual. I loved that Mr. Unkefer stressed honesty, being above board, and consistency in our behavior.
  • enrique62
Eric. I can really related to Mr Unkefer humblenes, integrity and lack of hype. Now, I have a role model I feel comfortable to build my business. Honesty is the best policy.
  • mariasiro
    Good stuff, thank's again
  • ulla99
Very good example, only the real persons can do it. When you rellay need it you will find the way.
  • Funny thing is that you get all these successful people to tell us how in 3 or 4 years we can make it to the top, working hard... but most, if not all of you guys and gals, spent 10 or 20 years biting the dust...some more than once.
Sooo, can we really be successful without hurting first? On the other hand, I believe that "making it" is not the most important part...The journey is everything...if you survive to tell the story, that's a bonus. ;-))
  • Robertdiggsjr
    Consistency is key!
  • jpmendoza
Thank you both for the time you spend giving us all of this information, tell the truth, be consistent, it is all in the numbers. This is one of the best interviews yet, I truly enjoyed listening to Mr. Unkefer.
  • chriskemp817
Eric, another great interview. I can't tell you how much I appreciate these interviews. You are truly making a huge difference in other people's lives including my own. Mr. Unkefer talks about staying committed each day. I realize that everybody who gets involved in this business is going to fail before the success comes. Mr. Unkefer talks about being humble. I like the story about the declined credit card. How embarrassing that must have been! He's a class guy and so are you. Thank you, Eric!
  • Mark Dickson
This is one of the best interviews yet. Such a down home filling, no hipe or frills just go to work
and be yourself. Enjoy people and team work.
  • brianhepner
What an infectous smile you both have. This is a better way.
  • It's all about 'keeping on' through the adversity. If I got gummed up over every setback I'd have left the industry years ago!

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog! :-)

    Best,
    Scott
  • mrmauriocrawford
    Eric,
It seems to me that all leaders in our field have LEARNED how to be successful. Nothin is natural. You guys show us that everyday. I'm getting such good lessons from these videos.

By being a member of this site, it has pushed my business forward by at least 1 year. I've been watching these videos for only a couple of months. But I'm seeing the results in my bank account already.

    Thanks again

  • eugenejohnson
    Eric
i dont mean to be negative but.....you have a ton of people that say pick the right company ....pick the right company.......but never say whats the right company.... i think saying pick the right company with out saying how you can tell your with the right company is useless to say because if your saying it to someone that means they didnt know to pick the right company.....So how do you choose a good company?
  • Eric,

I hope you don't mind my answering your question. I have also seen that people have to go through a number of company experiences to find the 'right' one for them. There is one that whispers your name too. First you may want to identify the half dozen or so that have caught your attention. What do you like about each one and not like as well. For many it is not just your immediate sponsor but also their line of sponsorship that can make a difference for you. I have seen people leave company A for company B because B is the "Right" company for them [now] and almost immediately someone from B, unrelated and unaware of the other person go to A and IT is now the "Right" company. How does some one find 'the one' when dating? ... There is a way of being that once you discover or know what you want and are willing to have it appear... it will. Be careful what you wish for.
  • I find it tough working out what companies are truly residual and thoses than rely on inflated start up bonuses to pay everyone. Whenever I read a MLM company review online it seems to be a mix of horror stories and full on supportors. There is no middle ground and you end up not knowing who to trust.

There is much talk about finding distributors in the shows but hardly any on finding customers for the product. Surely finding customers is important, in so much this is where the commission comes from.

If I'm a distributor do I have to buy the company product each month. I see much written about autodrop but surely it is better to order when I want, if indeed I need the product.

Any guidance would be much apprecciated.
  • Andy,

I agree it is difficult sorting through the mass of pro and con without seeing the vast majority if bias of one sort or another. There are some sites that offer a 'way' or a list of questions to consider when looking over the various opportunities. Two of my favorites, which while pro industry, are not kind. Look over http://bit.ly/ZvjL1 and http://bit.ly/7zpTRF

My rules are not to participate with anything less than two years old. If you are new there must be a track record because great plans, super intentions and past experience may not be enough. Two years is enough to have a sense. 4 years is still a great time to participate with a company as much of the early troubles have past and a 'system' that is in place and working should be a part of their recruiting strategy. If you are paid on anything but a function of product sales through your position keep looking.

Customers are both wholesale and retail. No one I know of makes a serious income selling anything at retail. Looking for people interested in a business that are supported or called to the company’s products will create both kinds of customers. I don't listen to people who think retail stores sell anything comparable or compare this industry to a brick and mortar business; Apples versus rocks.

If you are not able or willing to use the product to purchase monthly you are looking at the wrong company for you.

    I hope this helps.

    Michael
  • That really helps Michael,

Many thanks you have answered my questions, I appreciate you taking the time to do this.

You have clarified a lot of my thinking.

    Cheers

Great interview, enjoyed very much, Iknow I have picked the right company, so very excited about my future
  • Picking the right company in this industry is a big factor. What criteria do people use for choosing a company to partner with? For me they are Ownership & Management / Products / Compensation / Timing. What are yours? Have a great day!
    God Bless,

  • A want to thank both gentlemen for their story, lessons and making our business the best there is. Really great valuable lessons in this completely interview. Take care and best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Embarassing moments make leaders look human and the story more interesting.
  • I totally agree. We all can benefit from being open about our challenges. I believe that in Network Marketing it is key to allowing people to understand that they can do it too!
  • coltsco
Honesty has always been easy for me, but so has procrastination. Network marketing and your shows with information like this interview have helped me to stay focused and stop with the procrastinating. Thanks!

  • Hi Eric! Be Consistent, be consistent, be consistent. That's all I want to say today. Thank you Eric and Mr Unkefer! / Linda, Sweden

Today I have learned that I still have to learn. This is one of those "Coffer Full of Golden Nuggetes", that have to be watched, over, over & over again...Thanks Eric for having the wisdom to create this forum.

  • This is one of my favorite interviews to date. I am aware of how being apart of this amazing community and being able to learn from all these great leaders is affecting me as a network marketing professional. In contrast to when I first started, instead of being a little embarrassed I now feel it is a privilege to be apart of Network Marketing and for me, definitely the most satisfying career choice.
  • I have watched nearly every show to date in an effort to understand this industry and I agree Paul this is one of my favourite interviews and it will be great to see the full one tomorrow.
  • gillym1
    Brilliant - thanks you!
  • You know, I'm so glad that we have professionals that uphold this industry with honesty and integrity. This is one of the reasons I came back into the profession.
  • Arnold Thompson
The only way that our profession is going to get the respect it deserves is if we stop blowing smoke where the sun don't shine and be 100% truthful. It's all about building relationships and we can't build a relationship with anyone based on lies or "fibs'. Set the correct expectation from the beginning and your chances of success will increase dramatically.
  • quintaser
It´s possitive to see that the problems that I Face in the struggle to get success, like "No shows", the rude answers from "Friends" and "Family", is something that everybody has to overcome, that the top achievers are not "Special" and every thing goes smooth to them.
I believe that to be a "good liar" you must have an extraordinary memory, otherwise you are just a "Stupid liar", to tell the truth you don´t need a special gift of creativity.

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana
  • Most people I talk to have had at least one network marketing experience that was a failure. I know I did back in 2000. I spent 2 1/2 years spinning my wheels, never sponsored a single soul. Not the company's fault. I had no clue about this business back then.

It took me 7 years to come back to network marketing and it's the best decision I ever made.
  • quintaser
Congratts Patty, to come back on your feet and try it again and agian till you make it, is the clue to everyone who has had success, you´ve made it, you are GREAT and you are in the path to get the fruits of being GREAT.

I wish you to have the best day of your life, TODAY

    From Puebla, Mexico, Sergio quintana
  • Thank you! I appreciate your encouragement!
  • G'day mate! One of my goals is to return to Os and Sydney.

Sherman definately saved the best till last.

The key point again for me was CONSISTENT MASSIVE DAILY ACTIVIY! Thanks Serman and Eric.
  • Judith a real golden nugget!
  • Great story! I love that honesty. So many people fake it when really the power, value and inspiration lies within the story to success. If someone cannot embrace the fact that you are starting anew in a business, and they can join you in the journey, then, they may need to find someone else they can work with.

Personally, I admire stories like that because it's usually people like Sherman that are really successful. I think what it PROVES is Sherman's outstanding Character. As the late Jim Rohn said, "It's not adversity that defines a person's character, it's how they respond to adversity." Will they just get through it, or grow from it and build character from it.

It's obvious that Sherman and Eric have grown tremendously from their challenges and have "Unshakable Characters."
  • Well, they say that the 'fun' is in the journey. I agree that it's the challenges that make us what we are!
  • amberaimshigh
Awesome Interview! Honesty is the best policy... like that about you Mr. Unkefer! THANK YOU!
  • Pete
Tell the truth...that way you don't have to have a good memory. Words to live by!
  • Nancy Eldred
Sometimes OUR defining moments are not ours at all, but SOMEONE ELSE'S.

I'm adding Sherman's one to my list, about his credit card decline in front of a new distributor.

Mr. Unkefer you are a Rock Star !!!!
  • Marion
Thank You for a great interview Eric & Mr. Unkefer.
Honesty, Committment & Consistency to make it with a good company.
I loved your story also "Meetings make Money" & "Fortune is in the Follow Up"
    Thanks again

The road I am about to embark upon just got a bit clearer. Now that I know of the the twists, turns and bumps that lay ahead I can better prepare myself. It would be like comming to see you Eric and not brinning a warm jacket. Your insight on what to expect is priceless. Thank you
  • Hai
What a nice man, Mr. Unkefer is!!! I've enjoyed his interview so much. Great comments about being honest, upfront and stay with it consistently and it will come in time. So many nuggets to share. Thank you, Sherman. Now, forward to Sydney: Eric, May you have a safe & successful trip!
  • Love the Whatever It Takes (WIT) attitude!

The law of averages will play out if you take action and keep going.
  • maariee
Thank you Eric and Sherman. Great intervue!
  • TAbrams
It is great to hear about the struggles early on that even multi million $$ earners had starting out. Great advice that I feel all new people in our profession need to hear and many that have been in the business for some time need to have it re-enforced. Work this business from your heart, and if you run your business and live with Integrity and honesty you will never have to look back or question your actions.

It is so true, BE CONSISTENT in your ACTIVITY, make a COMMITMENT, you have to sell out and be 120 % focused and stay with it. Plant your flag, have to believe this is it, and you will do what it takes to make it to the top.

When people say "Life is so hard" or this or that is hard... I always have to ask, "compared to what"? Is putting in the time and effort for 5, 7, 10 years to get you to the lifestyle you want worth it, where you are setup and able to do whatever you want, whenever you want with whomever you want?

    The answer is YES!!
  • Thanks Mr. Unkefer for sharing your story, there's so much value for us newbies to hear about the humble beginnings of the big producers such as yourself.

We all have to start somewhere!
  • great comment about just being honest and upfront, if people know you are "ok" with starting from the beginning with a lot of belief, they don't feel like they have to make income claims and fake it too...great point! totally agree!
  • Bryan_in_KC
I will never "fake it ti' I make it". Fake = Phony and that is something I can never be in any way shape or form. People see right through it and it damages the credibility of network marketing. Working through every problem that arises and consistently moving forward is huge.
  • garyparmenter
It is nice to hear about the stuggles one has when getting started. It gives new distributors an example of moving forward inspite of the problems. Honesty is the best way. Thanks
  • BobandPam
You two make failures feel like a good thing! LOL! Dig deep, move on, tell a story, your story. Thank you both.
  • Appears many people are missing the value and the application of "fake it till you make it" including Sherman. You cannot fake honesty nor can you fake integrity. However many people are sad and morose about where they are and being 'honest' about that is not attractive. If you are waiting to be happy or something to make you happy you have it backwards. The rule, "fake it till you make it" works in this small arena. Happy is something you bring to the party NOT something that happens to you. IF you will fake it ... you will discover happiness occurs... Of course you can be right about the situation and stay poor.
  • Great interview Eric! Network Marketing is a business built on relationships. I totally agree with Sherman about about "fake it to your make it" concept that amateurs do! A business built on honesty and integrity. Is a successful business.
  • jbledsoejr
HUGE belief! I love how Sherman said "I just dealt with it and went on" (when his credit card was declined in front of a prospect)…that is a truly a defining moment! Credit card declined to multiple 7 figure income…that is awesome! This business is amazing!

    Thanks Eric & Sherman!
  • carybennett
Very good stuff bring on the uncut one now, Thanks again
  • I like that - Honesty! You cant fake, because some way down the road, they will see the right you, and then you loose a lot of trust...so be as honest you absolutely can!
Be realistic and do the work, and you will succeed!
  • Great to see the belief Sherman has in himself shining through. Without the belief we aren't going anywhere!
  • I've seen people try the "fake it 'til you make it" and the truth always comes out. Honesty is always the best policy.
  • This really reminded me of reviewing diamonds: The C's

Ih guys, this was a great 4 days. I like to sum this up with this. "don't try to teach a old dog new tricks, just follow the dog he will bring you home"
  • lauralopez
Defining moments are very important sometimes are very ashame moments in life but I think this is the time when you are more creative that you start to react and act, and your mind start to run as crazy.

Great Interview can't wait to see the uncut version as well.
Thanks, Sherm for the nuggets of wisdom.
  • kgoren
Wow. Great interview with Sherman. Honesty, commitment, consistent and focused. The whole conversation on being honest was the best. I've always, always believed that it's the only way to be. Thanks so much for sharing and always keeping us on track.
  • ritafulton
Thank you Sherman for taking time to share your story and "kernels" with us. There are so many things but one that stuck out with me in this part 4 is about doing "due diligence" .."you can do all the right things within the wrong company"..

Thank you Eric too for being there even while traveling "down under"!!
  • I loved this interview. It touched something in the core of my soul. I feel inspired and motivated.
  • Harry
Awesome interview. I enjoy every interview you've done, I always learn something new from all of them.
  • shawncyr
Excellent ending. Honesty is the best policy.
It's a simple business, but we need to work hard at it.
Stay consistent with what is working, don't waste your time with the inessentials.
If you don't have a mentor in this business, not a sponsor but a mentor, get one. Do what they tell you to do because it's what they did. Then you will get what they have.
  • Denise Cox
i love what sherman says about transparency. brings me back to your interview with mr. gar v.

it makes such a difference when people are just straight up about the ups and downs vs "faking it til you make it." it's refreshing and it instills trust. i don't want to hear how sunny it is over there in "successfulville." i can use my imagination, i want to hear how many times you fell down and got back up again before you got there. those defining moments as you say eric. that's what i want to hear.

because those are the stories i think about when i'm down, when i'm feeling so insecure that i don't know why anyone is on my team doing this with me, when i'm feeling so beaten down i don't know why i just don't quit. those stories, are the ones that i think of.

thanks so much for keeping it real and guiding your guests to do the same. great show!
  • This was a great interview! Sherman is such a good role model to follow. He makes it look easy. I'm grateful to you Eric, as always, for putting this together. Have fun down under!
  • Dave S
Inspiring to hear Sherman's watershed moments and his foundation of being honest. I'm off to find two people who I can share my great opportunity with today.
  • conniegleave
I was very glad to hear that you guys don't buy into the whole fake-it-till-you-make-it either!

So...I must be on the right track because: I'm proud to share what I'm doing (I make no excuses); I've made a commitment (5+ years with the same company and every year has been better than the last); I'm consistent in my daily activity (without compromising other priorities in my life); I have no inclination to quit because I KNOW this is the answer for me!

Thanks for the great interview with Sherman!
  • billrogers
Great interview. Honesty and integrity, keys to ones image.
  • Sherman's story points out that our experiences are common to all of us who pursue success in this great industry.
  • brigittapatel
    Great interview with Sherman.

    Pearls for today:

It is not a straight line to the top.
Overcome hurdles with grace and do not let them stop you.

    Thanks a million
  • I like the feeling of camaraderie between you Eric and the other "big earners"-a great model for again the value and importance of good relationships not adversarial. As an industry we need to model more of that good behavior. Again the lesson today is one of honesty and transparency are always the best strategies to chose and this is a business of consistent storytelling...
  • jlconner
Be consistent!!! That is the message I got today. This is something I need to work on. Thanks for helping me.
  • carolbarrett
Great interview. I can relate to Sherman's credit card defining moments--I've had a few myself. Thanks again Eric and Sherman.
  • caronwashington
another great interview. so much to take from it but I guess if I had to take one big one it would be his consistency. Day in and day out. Focused effort using the tools and belly to belly meetings. Confidence and I was assured that just because you were in another mlm company and didnt have the success you wanted that doesnt define the whole preofession or your skills. He said you could do all the right things with the wrong company. HUGE. Wanna definitely watch it again.
  • Don Harrington
Thank you Eric and Sherman for your training. We all have defining moments. There are some who will grow and build and some who will quit. Stay strong.
  • FrankMarshman
Again, this is great stuff. I cannot add anything.
  • aileens
This interview shows how our business instils the disiplines we need to succeed, to stay focused and keep going. not easy but hey, nobody said it would be easy !!
  • Lorraine
Sometimes when we look at the those who are now at the front of the room, we forget that they also started from the same spot we started from. Those that are now successful also had their challenges and frustrating moments and those moments they used to propel them into motion. Thank you for reminding me to use my moments as fuel to fight on for my dreams. Great interview.
  • soxfan071
There is no doubt that you should be honest with people. I myself have always been more attracted to people who show the real side of themselves and not try to be something they are not. I tell people together we can change and make a difference.
  • drmikempa
One too many memories remembered. LOL
  • mbryant
It is great hearing that both of these men experience meetings with no guests. It's just part of the deal.
  • bryantkeefe
If you know you have the right opportunity and you have a vision of the future you want then you can sleep on airport floors and present to empty rooms. You made the decision so continue with the commitment. Just a simple sweet and superior message. Great stuff Eric! Thank you.
  • good point Bryant!
  • ericworre
Hey Tyler, could you do me a favor and limit your comments just to this section and not actually in the video stream? I'm getting complaints that it's too distracting. Thanks! I appreciate it!
  • No problem. Can you turn that function off on Viddler. I always that the more participation the better.
  • Darnell
These defining moments should spurn us to stay on track and not get off. Over time and with consistent effort the rewards will come to the forefront along with the success!! Thank you both....looking 4ward to the next video!!
  • Jillian
It seems to endorse the fact that one needs to work consistently and remain true to your values and ethics to attain success and keep it. I loved the good solid advice minus the hype
  • alltheverybest
Classic! Sleeping on the airport floor...doing the presentation with just his wife to listen... defining indeed!
  • Katie N
I really enjoyed this.I had to laugh when you discussed having a meeting with no guests-done that!

Hi Eric...Another great segment to this interview. I am looking forward to watching the entire session. Sherman is very easy to understand and easy to relate to. He has been most helpful. Thank you!
  • MagnusEdvald
I liked very much when he told people to forget about the "fake it till you make it" thing. Looking forward to seeing the whole interview tomorrow.
  • hlj521
Awesome interview Eric. Thank you for all you do to improve the Network marketing Industry! Such great information and wisdom! I am looking forward to being able to take this information and apply it to my business!
  • MagnusEdvald
It must be great to have such a man as a mentor in this business.
  • Erik
Great man and I felt sorry for him that he lost his wife.

It is hard to say if this is the best interview so far, It`s hard to say because all the interviews are great and brings so much value, but this is probably the interview that I liked best so far.
  • Starting with a good company is key, in fact.
    Great interview.

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues
  • ERIC! I really really like this guy! It's the best interview so far - he's just amazing! You have to bring him on again!
  • randyhendrickson
I really enjoyed this interview. I find this easy to believe because I know you are telling me the truth. My downfall I don't believe in me.
  • Why? You can do it! You can do it! Have you read, "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill? The chapters on Autosuggestion, Faith and Persistence might really help you. Good luck Randy!
  • Here as promised.
  • Great great interview, consistency, honesty and keep the faith.
  • jeffreyhall
Consistency is the key. This is driven by faith and belief in yourself and the product.
  • claralondono
thank you for these "kernels".. honesty, consistency and keep it simple and focused. Great interview!!
  • ybimbalanced
exposure and constistency, these are at the core of a solid business. Great advice!
  • germanjaramillo
The latter part of the interview confirms once more to put into practice our profession really requires simple actions. All are based on the belief that we have in ourselves, in our decision to be champions in this profession.

A special greeting from Cali, Colombia.

  • There WILL be bumps along your path. Just work through them. They will be a part of your story that will encourage others to persist when THEY experience their own bumps. Forget about “Fake it til you make it”; honesty is still the best policy. Consistency rules!

Thank you Sherman Unkefer you have showed me that everyone can do it.
  • tomlacey
Honestly and consistency two behaviors to build a business! We certainly could use a little more of theses attributes in various segments of our world. Excellent series.
  • clickjt
If I had attended one of Mr. Unkefer's meetings, I would have signed up on the spot, just based on the kind of man he is. I would "know" that everything would be ok if I followed his lead.
  • That interests me in that whilst I can see Sherman is a greater leader would you spend time investigating the product. I'm speaking in general terms here not specifics. Just trying to work out my priorities when it comes to finding the right company.
  • Great Interview! The series brought out a lot of great dialogue and viewpoints. I really appreciate the opportunity you provide here. This is a great forum for many people to come together to share.

    Everyone have a great day.
  • Tina
I love the "honesty is the best policy". I understand that acting a feeling until it becomes you can be used in certain places but not in the place of honesty. Consistency is hard so it must be Key.
  • For me Sherman's attitude that you are going to give the meeting anyway and Eric with his "re-sponsor yourself" when no one turns up . Consistency, honesty and integrity. Gained so much from these interviews with Sherman, a real gentle man
  • Honesty, a great word and good business policy.
  • Ger White
I saw this with my breakfast - what an uplift to any day! This is awesome, thank you Eric and Sherman.
  • karenandian
Great interview! Thank you Eric & Mr. Unkefer for awesome advice. Honesty & consistency! Your dealing with the credit card situation says perseverance is also key. Thank you again.

    Fantastic interview :)
  • Mailen
Thank you Sherman ,for sharing with us. And to you Eric who got this wonderful person to tell us what to do.
  • Lisette
    Great interview!
Get involved in a good company, be consistent, be honest, stay focused......
Thank you Sherman, for sharing your story and thoughts.
  • I like this but again, many people will still fake it till they make it. Just see what going around over.
Learn the skill, constantly meeting, meeting and meeting, keep on keeping on.
  • peterragg
It is quite obvoius why Sherman has been successful, he is a man of the people, he cares.

    Well done Eric great show.
    kind regards

  • jacob stiner Israel
Hey Eric it's not simple to be simple at the moment we will becomes we will be on the way to be pro
  • Thank you, Sherman, for your refreshing honesty! I will be a humble follower...
  • Wonderful defining moments. Just goes to show you that we are not alone on our journey. Everyone has to "pay the price" - no show meetings. Had lots of them - Just take the attitude that you are going to give the meeting anyways and "re-sponsor yourself". Also keeping your self in honesty and integrity or else people will see through you.

Was in a company before and we were told to "fake it till you make it"- You know what many in that same company are still "faking it".....Don't do it! - Find your "horse" and ride it! - Have a big "why?" - love the "be consistent and keep it simple" - GREAT STUFF, Eric, can't wait to hear the entire episode.
  • Earl
Defining moments... I am glad that spoke of his many smaller defining moments. I guess there are two different ways of getting to the point of "great change", one of the ways is the one BIG Defining moment and another way is the many small defining moments that add up. If you keep moving in the right forward direction either way will get you there. One way maybe faster, yet the other way maybe easier.
  • Hans
Make a commitment to get started with a good company! Be consistent in your activity, day in, day out, week in, week out! And simply go forward!....Be absolutely honest and above board! Don't fake it until you make it!....
  • karenandian
Solid advice! Consistency and fining the right company is key.
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
    consistancy = discipline.
Good to hear and recognize the tippingpoints. Since lots of people have blocked cc's, there is a better way for them (and us). We only have to continue our efforts and learningprocess. Loved the part on honesty, keep up the good work.
Thank you mr Unkefer. thank you Eric. great interview.
  • ngocttk
I love the way Sherman explained on defining the moment. It’s very impressed. Thanks Eric & Sherman for giving us great experiences!
  • Hans
Reclined Credit Card: Did it In Any Way Dissuade Me From My Course Of Action? No!!!

I love that statement....so recognizable, so human, not letting any circumstance or obstacle keep us/me from obtaining our/my success. Way to go...sleeping on the airport floor....doing anything to move forward towards our goals. Great example! I've definitely been there, done that and will keep on doing things like that to reach where I am definitely going! H.
  • Tony Murray
Keep it simple. Simplicity is definitely a common theme in these videos.
  • davidgreene
a GRAND $LAM!! Part 4 was Fantastic, Great Summary of Parts 1-3 and The Message of "being Consistent about being Consistent" really rang true & loud.
  • Agneta Rebo
Thanks for all the great stuff
  • wouterdeprez
great interview with great series of tips, thank you sherman and eric!!
  • tjsknmp
Excellent interview - can't wait to view the whole thing at once and take notes. I like how he corroborates the same principles and methods Eric is teaching, along with the leaders in other interviews. In a previous organization I was with, I asked my upline why I needed the tapes I did not like. I was told they were not for me, but I would be meeting people that would relate to those tapes, and the tapes were meant for them. I needed to learn about the different social styles, how to relate to them, and be able to give a tool that the person would be able to relate to. Well, I can totally relate to Mr. Unkefer! I have referred several people to this site this week, and I am glad this interview series is currently playing. Thanks Eric - keep up the good work.
