Searching fot moments. We've been only 4 months in this industry and still looking forward to have many more moments, inspiring, defining moments.
  • cmattern
Defining moments.... We've all had them. Just dogged determination, and intellectually knowing that it can be done. Not sure I've had the MLM defining moment, but I do have the determination. Looking for the 'heart and soul' defining moment.
  • Believe in your people and believe in yourself... If someone else has done it, so can you...
  • Elaine Baril
    Great interview! Merci
  • Dylan Cooper
Thank you. Extremely motivational. I'm off!

    Dylan (UK)
  • jlt0wn
    I can do this!
  • Damijan81
I believe that being able to motivate others is the key to this business, but how can we motivate and help others if we dont even know why we are doing the business.... I have never thought about it from that angle
  • susanjohannesson
This is so true; being able to give belief to your people!
  • BobbyRay
Excellent giving your people the power to say they can do this was a excellent comment.
  • Vonnita2010
YES A DEFINING MOMENT... WELL LIKE I SAID BEFORE, I AM VERY NEW TO NM, AND MAYBE I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT DEFINING MOMENT FOR ME, BUT I AM NOT WAITING FOR IT SITTING DOWN, I AM LOOKING FOR IT! I KNOW AND FEEL I AM NOT FAR FROM IT AND I HAVE TO AGREE, NM IS A LIFE SCHOOL, GETTING TO KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE, LISTENING TO LIFE EXPERIENCES, GOING THROUGH THE DIFFERENT CICLES LIKE REGECTION ETC, MAKES YOU GROW, PREPARES YOU TO BECOME A STRONGER AND MORE DECIDED PERSON, SOMEBODY THAT BELIEVES IN SOMETHING AND WILL STAND FOR IT NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY OR THINK, THE WILL SOON SEE THE RESULTS ANYWAYS... YES, SINCE I STARTED NM, I HAVE LEARNED A LOT, I HAVE ALSO BECOME A MORE AMAZING SOUL AND HAVE HAD MANY EXPERIENCES AND LEARNED TO APPRECIATE MORE WHO I WAS AND MY OWN TALENTS WHICH I KNEW I HAD BUT DIDN'T EXPLODE OR USE THEM LIKE I SHOULD, I KNOW I AM IN THE RIGHT BUSINESS, AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL TAKE ME AWAY!! ERIC LETS KEEP IT UP.. U R ONE OF MY MENTORS AND U DON'T EVEN KNOW ME. THANK YOU AND ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO COME AND PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERVIEWS AND SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AND SHOW US THAT ANYBODY WHO HAS THE WILL CAN DO THE SAME THAT YOU ALL DID!! I LOVE NM
  • classy70sgirl
    WOW!
I love the idea that NM is like a business school! I love learning and believe that the people we meet is always for the reason of learning a lesson, whether the person becomes a life long friend or is in our life for only a "season". I look for these opportunities all the time and consequently enjoy meeting people.
    Thanks again Eric and John!
    Classy70sgirl
  • CarlosVera
Motivation, here it is again. Find your "why" and realize you can do it, and then help others do the same.............
  • Jeroen Lingier
what did I learn out of this?
    Learn from everybody.
Even if somebody failed: learn why and how.

+Give your group the feeling that they can do it and become a professional.
That defining feeling will make your group boom.
    Thanks for the great info.
From Belgium/ Flanders, this is Jeroen Lingier
  • CINDYSU
    I can do this.
  • pech
Life is about learning and life is about doing.
  • David Wright
Wow. I mentioned Business School in my previous comment. That book is a must read.
Find a mentor. Be a mentor
  • John Boyd
This was a phenomenal recording I really got JMF!
  • juanfernandogutierrez
this interview is so good that has to be watched again and again and again
  • gingerva
Love it! Leaders are learners; so true. Defining moments come only after we learn about and believe in our industry, the product and ourselves. Helping others to say "I can do this" is truly rewarding.
  • robbinsaturniewicz
That's awesome his book took 3 weeks to write. That's passion and dedication.
When I "saw" network marketing for the opportunity it was like "WOW" That was my first defining moment! And what's really weird is I wasn't approached by a friend or a person, I found my company by chance on the internet.
  • AdvocareJax
I know one of my defining moments was when I got the sense that I could really do this. I never thought about how I can transfer that same belief to others. I will focus on that more.
  • travelprohawaii
Wow I don't get this type of training in my corporate job. I don't get the feeling that my workplace wants me or my peers to be the best we can be.
  • Shovers
Defing moments - interesting! If I can believe and know I can do this, how huge would that be. I really see how that can make or break a leg or an organization. When we master that, we can break this industry wide open.
  • seija
    I can do this!
  • donham298
I wonder how many people have had their defining moment while watching one of your
videos. This is a terrific service to our industry.
    Thanks
  • I love the friend/mentor idea, and giving people their defining moment for them. Good stuff.
  • wconsult
This was good, we all have defining moments, sometimes we don't even realize them until we actually reflect back.
  • Inger
Oh I do have that wish too, to transfer the believe not only I can do it but someone else too.
  • Robertdiggsjr
    Cool
  • joomoura
    Fantastic
  • Carlos Perez
Believe you can do it is one key element of this great profession
  • Jay VanNostrand
defining moments for me are when your faith synergizes with your actions...fantastic stuff gentlemen..can't wait for the extra nuggets in the uncut version!
  • drkay
Eric, I love this part of your interviews; Tell us of your defining moment. Milton, this was an encouraging experience you shared with us. It gives us hope that we too have a defining moment which could lift us out of the ordinary. I am looking forward to discovering, for fact, that I can do this... network marketing.
  • Jessi
Still waiting for that defining moment, thanks for the inspiration!
  • nikomachi
I am also waiting for that defining moment ..... it will come ;-)
  • Jessi
    We're all each others mentors
  • life is about learning...
  • quincy
I believe we all have multiple defining moments if just when we get fed up that we realize our true defining moment. It will really stand out to you when you are ready.
  • Bea Resnick
Even a defining moment can benefit from reinforcement. We can remind ourselves daily, “Yes! I can do this!” We can remind our team with each success, “Yes! You can do this! You’re doing it!”
  • krisic
Oh my gosh, that is definitely my favorite section of this interview! I love "my God, I CAN do this!" Love it!
  • mspaulamc
It is a people business - no denying it!
  • karivankleef
Outstanding- I don't know if I am at the I can do it stage but I am sure working hard to get there.
  • JenniferDu79
I love it. Wow a defining moment for both of you about the ability that "I Can Do This". I'm not sure I have had that moment yet. I'm still at I think I can but I know I will get there. It is a good thing I have Friend mentors that John referred to.
  • nickgarrison
    John Milton Fogg is outstanding
  • Donna Wheaton
Defining Moments- realizing that I can do anything with the help of God. He (God) allowed My network marketing company to come into my life for a reason. As Mr. Fogg said it best many moments make up who we are and if we can inspire to give others the defining moment of I CAN DO IT!
  • Vange01
I think Network Marketing is the business for everyone who wants to grow as person, who wants to define himself/herself as leader and who wants to help other people do the same. Thanks Eric
  • I'm always learning in this biz. thanks eric
  • Jilliangene
Another Ah Ha moment. Give your team your true heart and belief, and you will be successful beyond silver and gold. Do this by opening their eyes to their inner truth. Thank you
  • peterburrows
every single day there little bits of gold....
today - help your people to believe...... 'I can do this'
  • happyhealthybob
Company conventions are huge for defining moments!! I know that i had one, along with a few people around me did.
  • Vern Trabue
I can, and I will DO THIS!
  • Lorraine
We all can do this. We just need to believe in ourselves!
  • jeanalbert
If you can give enough people their own "I CAN DO THIS" defining moment, then you will have become a network marketing professional. Thanks John! I can do this.
  • tommycone
    #229
    I can do this.
  • smreed
We all have the power within us to achieve all we desire. It takes belief and turning off the little voice inside us that tries to plant doubt. Listen to the voice that says you can do and achieve anything you desire. Move forward with this positive voice and do everything in your power to achieve your dreams and goals. Work at it diligently with great effort and passion because you are worth living your best life.
  • BetterCoffee.dk
Well there we have it, the holy grail.
The last thing John was talking about is the ability to make people see that they can do this and make an incredible life for themselves.
That's the key skill I'm looking for!

I'd like to see some of our stars on the shows do a presentation to a real life prospect.
Just to see what I can draw on in their approach.
  • ronaldvandomburg
thanks for the enthousiasm and the big picture
  • crwood1967
Oh how true! I am amazed at how many people do not feel that they have had a defining moment, but each and everyone of us have had them. It is what makes who we are and how we operate. This is what each of us need to remember that and accept that. Thanks again for a great interview Eric!
  • pollyhulseman
"I can do this" is the first thing I thought when I was introduced to my company.
  • kristibateman
Thank you Eric....I CAN DO THIS
  • Arnold Thompson
We can learn so much from these professionals, I love hearing all these interviews. I look forward to the day in which I am considered enough of a leader to be a part of the show.
  • Life is about learning... Network marketing is a life school.

"I can do this" - great!
  • SJ Doug
I can do this I am convinced that I can!
  • "I can do this!" When I reached this realization, I knew this was my home!
  • I believe that network marketing is a life style
All the people that I have met from the person that got me into this to all the people we have met at conventions are the best people I have ever met
Very positive thinkers always ready to help I really wish I had gotten into this business a long time ago
and thank you Eric for doing this spending your time helping people you have never met
    It's fantastic
  • Ton Oosterwijk
"a crowd pleaser" comment made think.
If the person who shares the opportunity has a "crowd pleasing mentality".
Integrity of the message & Authenticity of the sender.. tend to go out of the window.... and one will be received as not "real"
  • clickjt
In terms of network marketing, it was many years ago when an Amway guy sat across the table from me and drew the circles. When I figured out what that meant, it changed my life.
In other aspects of life, I have been defined by my wife, my kids, and my granddaughter.
  • jean_albert
Network Marketing as"a school of life"... I agree, I was thirty years old (1978) before someone introduced me to PMA books on personal development. Being college educated, I wondered how this valuable asset could be lying around and I never heard of it (PMA). It really impacted my life for the better for the last 30 years. I've tried to mentor some young adults on this information and found some people as "thick-headed" as I was at that age. I guess when the student is ready the teacher will appear.
Eric, I've found this interview & your past programs of great value, even when they reminded me of principles I've heard & read before. It's a really good daily dose of education. Thanks, Jean Albert
  • tyroneholmes
I can see...I can do it.
  • Irina
If one man can do it, so can another!
I can and I will do this!
  • gjt
I can do it! I can do it! I can do it!
  • lynn hall
I like the "I can do it" and "you can do it".
  • I'm not sure what is meant by "Life is a microcosm of Network Marketing." Wow! A small entity of what is considered a whole amazing, manifestation of magnificent and sometimes indescribable elements. I guess in terms of the amount of passion one holds regarding Network Marketing, that can be how much the industry is loved. I presume that this is just an analogy and\or metaphorical description. I was really entertained by the statement. I always imagine that life is a microcosm of infinite wonder, and everything else is...well, you know, somewhat insignificant.
  • I love this business model. Never before in any business endeavor or workshop have I been so encouraged to become a better me. "I can do this"!! I like that a lot, because no matter the level of "success" I have succeeded in becoming a better person! I can't lose.
  • John Spardella
"I can do this" I believe that happens largely when you get a few, "Firsts" in a row. Your first sign up after the first one on one. Your first check from the company. The first time you become a grandfather, i.e. someone you signed up signs someone up.
  • clairecameron
What a great way to cloe this interview. A real gem... if you can give the "I can do this" feeling to other people then you are off!
  • karenandian
NMPro 230 - What an awesome complete interview. 3 major things -
Belief in yourself, in what you are doing!
    This is a relationship business!
    Burning Desire is internal motivation.
Contribution to others is what will grow your business.
    Life is about learning!
    Thank you Eric & John.
  • jacob stiner Israel
Hey Eric, we can do it thanks
  • I can do it. I can see it.
  • Ok, now I'm lost! Been away for a couple of days and not sure if I posted on this video, yet I'll tell you, I NEVER miss one of your video's. It's a part of my daily 1/2 dozen things to do...
  • alltheverybest
That last 40 seconds or so..... SO true. EVERYONE needs to have someone that believes in them, that tells them at a deep level "You too can do this"....so that they believe in themselves. Then it is job done.
  • leonardoparra
Key words "I can do it", "You can do it"
  • jbledsoejr
Getting others to believe...to see what you see is very tough. However it can be done...sometimes I feel you have to plug into someone else's vision/belief if you are lacking it yourself. It takes a great leader to do so. Great interview...thx to you both!
  • You saved the best for last:
    1) Mentor friends: "I don't have a friend in network marketing that is not a mentor - that is the gift of this business."
    2) Network marketing is a LIFE school.
    3) Pay it forward. You have told me I can do this and now I can tell others that they can do this. Learn how to give people the defining moment - "I can do this." If you give them that through your partnership - you're off.
  • mrmauriocrawford
WOOOOOOW!!! THIS WAS A GOOD ONE. I can see it! I'll be featured on an interview with Eric Worre.
This video made me see it.
  • dougharkins
You have to have a huge "Why?" in order to have the motivation to "Pay the Price" to be successful. "Life is a microcosim of network marketing." I Can.......I Will.
  • Connie Tolton
    Thanks, this was soo helpful.

    Connie T
  • I'm looking forward to my defining moment - Thanks for the inspiration!
  • germanjaramillo
Truly shocking to me that part of the interview. I felt totally identified. I have had several moments in this profession that have marked my life.

The first is when the books first came to me just with a book by Robert Kiyosaki. After reading several books, my life has changed an I as a person. I began to understand the importance of personal relationships, human skills, control of thoughts, etc..

But like Eric, one of the most shocking was when I decided to be a professional networker! Today the profession is what I do in my life passion! When I do a meeting in someone's house I get to my home very happy!!! Even if no one has signed!

It is spectacular and this is part of my happiness.

A greeting this time from Cali.

    -GJ
  • julie67
That was awesome. People do need someone to tell them they CAN DO THIS! Thanks Eric.
  • quintaser
Well, even though we had a stressful moment between our two friends, I really think this serie is amazing too, like the others. Thanks Eric, have good travel back home

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana
  • DianaValdez
    I CAN do this!!!!
  • Great conclusion to the series. I share the same admiration for Big Al Tom, Art Jonack, and others John refers too. Defining moments don just occur in MLM they are in life and that is what we are bringing to the table in our groups.
  • PaulineP
"I can do this" ....and pass it forward...the belief element. If they are ready to learn.
  • Steve_Nelson
Thank you for letting us know that we can do this! LIke Napolean Hill says, " whatever the mind can CONCEIVE and *BELIEVE*, we can achieve. (Along with a positive mental attitude)"
  • gkamlm
A very good conclusion to challenge ourselves with the idea of helping people get their own defining moment that convinces them that they can do the business.
  • raybeattie
Transfer the belief, wow that could be a book all by itself. Great way to state it, John.
  • coltsco
Getting others to believe they can do this is my biggest struggle. An interview on different techniques, wording, etc on this subject would be great.
  • fc34615
My defining moment in my Network Marketing career will come when I fully realize my entire potential.
    Thanks, Eric,
    Fernando.
  • hpena
I share that defining moment. I started in this business hoping I could do it. Then a moment arrived where I KNEW I could achieve success here. That moment was watching NMPro and realizing I just had to learn some new skills and work hard.

    Nando
  • conniegleave
I CAN DO THIS!!! NOBODY CAN STOP ME!!

Until recently I wasn't translating that same philosophy to my prospects.

I used to say: "If I can do this, you can do this". But it really needs to go beyond that phrase. So as Emeril would say: "Time to kick-it-up-a-notch". BAM!!!
  • Gustavo Munoz - Colombia
    excelent sharing
  • Nancy
Defining momement is inspirational. Something all can benefit from. Thanks.
  • hillin
It's true that defining moments are game changing moments.
  • Earl
From this interview, I've decided that in every presentation that I do from here on out, I will reword it so many more people at the presentation will more often than not say "I could do that...". Thanks for the inspiration and guidance. Earl
  • My first defining moment was on a big event, as it is for many people. I listen to a talk from Doug Wead, and he really made me understand, that if you do your homework, take it seriously and do the work you have to do, anyone can accomplish big in Network Marketing. There is some skills you have to learn, but when you do, and apply that into your daily routine, you will succeed.....But seeing him, made me really believe that I could learn that skills....
  • John Foggs defineing moment reminds me of what happens in times when you do 10 or 20 presentations in a row and everyone says, "Thanks, but no thanks!" - then suddently as you are allmost giving up hope no. 21 says "Yeah sure this sounds like a great deal" and then you think again "Wow I can do Network Marketing" and you sign up the next 20 people :)
  • goingpro
Just what I needed to hear tonight. Emotional reinforcement to say the least. NMP everyone in the biz needs to see this clip.
  • Agneta Rebo
That was great. Giving people the belief that they can do it. Thats the key!!
  • mikeyfromvegas
Hi Eric & John, I need to go over my notes to give a longercomment but I will say this if we do every day what we are being taughwe can't loose. This is all NEW and very good stuff
    Mikey
  • rmonte
Defining moments do change our dna, for better or for worse, depending on how we respond to them. Some people tuck tail and run into hiding and others rise to the occasion. It's a matter of choice. I believe!!!! Thanks Eric!

    Rick M
  • carolmcwilliams
What an incredibly insightful awareness John said. If we can help support people to believe enough that they can do this business and that becomes thier defining moment then we have truly succeeded. Wow. This perspective gives me a whole new view. John is truly a deep thinker that I resonate towards.
  • beckydesabah
    Mentor-friends....
    Network marketing is life school...
    Life is about learning...
I can do this... and if you can give your people this defining moment... you're off!
    Great interview..thank you gentelmen!
  • That's more like it. I enjoyed this interview most of the 4 although I sense that the whole video will reveal more than the separate clips. I was only getting into John's personality and experience in this last video. I think the defining moment discussion was extremely valuable. No matter how many times people will tell you that this is something you can do and succeed in (if you'll just take the steps) we still need that belief (hence the spoof critique of MLM "I believe" attacking that key factor to be as devastating as possible). I've had a couple of set backs in the first 3 people I recruited have all failed to become involved but I put that down to the reality that they haven't been properly introduced because the 3rd party tools were not available pre-market and of course "that's just the way it is". It's good to know that refusal is not rejection (as others say). It allows us to be resilient and maintain belief until we get that convincing success and momentum that leads to the eureka moment of "hey! I CAN do this ;-))

    Thanks to Eric and John.
  • kgadol
Network Marketing as a life school ... I like that. I'm learning so much, I agree ... I CAN do this! :)
  • klmwahbiz
i always love hearing John describe his defining moments
  • dterrell
Thank you Eric for always letting us know that, "We Can Do It." Great interview.
  • I love having to learn to be the person I understand I should be. You can hide behind other businesses but not behind NM. As good as the product or service might be, you are always the first one to be seen and judged. I want to become an impecable warrior. Thank you John and Eric.
  • rosslopez
One of the most defining moments I've had is when I started on this business and had to help my mom on her major blast to give the presentations and show the oportunity.

We had several meetings in a week and I was by myself showing the business... nobody else neither my sponsor was there in case people had questions. Many people from other MLMs and people who had their own business attended to the meetings. At that time, none of them were interested on the business but months later they started to call my mom and they said... I've decided I want to join, I want to work with you, I want to be part of this they said... and I could not believe it!!! :D

I started to believe on myself, on the power I have when I really decide to do something =o)
In one or another way we are talented people, we just need to believe we really are and demonstrate we can do it. Later on we will be proud to comment this and many other stories.

Thanks for this great interview Eric, give our thanks to John as well =o)
    Hugs from Mexico
    Rossana :P
  • JudasPierce
    this is good stuff!
  • Thank you Eric and thank you very much John, i will follow your words
  • The moment where you can say "I can do this" wow! Great job Eric and John
  • feltricks
I'll put that on my Network Marketing Professional check list:
Give the people the confidence, the trust and the belief in themselves.
    Wow that is powerful.
    It redefines my why.
    Awesome show.
  • cherisizzles
YES!! The people want to know that THEY can do it! I absolutely agree with this. What a great way to simplify our task .... just make people believe and know that they, too, can DO IT! I love that.
  • cherisizzles
Eric, I love your comment about how defining moments make and remake our DNA! It's wonderful to know that remaking our DNA is a possibility. I love hearing about defining moments as well!
  • georgeman
I know for sure that I can do this!
  • talya_mitzafon
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I WANT TO HEAR MORE. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE COMPLETE AND UNCUT VERSION OF THIS INTERVIW.
  • barryburgin77
wow. Thank you, John Milton Fogg for your words of wisdom. I just do not have any other comment to make. Just Thanks.
  • shawncyr
Having started and stopped with my organization, never giving up the dream but not doing anything about it, I am hoping that my defining moment will be the day I pick up the phone or go to meet friends and family and invite them to take a look. Infact, after having read The Greatest Networker, I am really visualizing the next step of being there to see my team members recognized for their accomplishments. That's what I want my moment to be.
  • dlinkhart
I am waiting for my defining moment in NWM. I think it will be when I get my first, non-relative associate. Then I will know I can do it.
  • WOW, defining moments in our life are so great. They are most certainly the keys that drive us to a new level. I agree that in the industry of Network Marketing you are in the school of life. Never thought of it that way before. Thanks so much for the continued greatness and value that comes from all you share Eric and John. God Bless!
  • Ellis3
What's great about John Fogg is he's always teaching! In that last moment, he taught Eric that if he can get HIS people to have their defining moment be that they can DO networking full-time, then he will have really done something special. John and Eric: THAT is my goal too.
  • Luis Gringras
The Greatest Networker in the Word, I dind´t knew it ; I will read it
  • I had a defining moment watching this interview. I'm inspired to think about the episode # will you be on when I'm a million dollar a year earner?
  • That's awesome Sydney. You can do it! See you at the top!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • bethascoli
It's always fun to watch Eric ask people about their defining moments, because you can tell he enjoys it so much! I really liked John's defining moment. I think we all have things that we think we can't do and when we try we might just surprise ourselves. I know I'm doing things today that I never thought I would, and it's because of network marketing that I was able to gain that confidence - like John said, it is a "life school"
  • Dave S
My defining moment will be when I have found the sweet spot of leading others in Network Marketing
  • racingworm
Most everyone I've talked to have all said that it took them years to hit the right mark or get the right breakthrough. A lot of people think they should compare themselves to someone who made it in 2 months or so, and some people do, but most successful people have not done it overnight. Randy himself has said it's taken him over 2 years this time and look how good he is at it. This is not a get rich quick scheme. It all requires work and determination.
Great interview Eric, and thank you John for your insight.
  • marvalouslife1
Defining moments. yes. if you are able to define important moments in yor life, you are a successful person already.

    Ron Ackerman - Israel
  • Well the end of another excellent interview and I really enjoyed all of this one. We truly can become Network Marketing Pros with this type of education. Eric and Milton thank you.
  • I totally agree with you Mike. We are truly blessed to have access to great leaders like this.
Make it a great day! God Bless!
  • This is a powerful interview.
  • bartar20
Help your people succeed, mentor them and always be there for them, if you do that for them you can't help but succeed in so many ways in life. What a great interview, thanks John.
    Thanks Eric

    Eric-

More great info as always. You should come out with a shirt with the Network Marketing Pro logo on the front. And on the back of the shirt, the following words: You Can Do This!
  • FrankMarshman
    I can do this!
  • jennyc
Learning from others and helping others. That's what it's all about.
  • jpmendoza
There it is again, "Helping people see that they can this" this is great stuff. Thanks
  • MarvinTowler
"The most remarkable group of individuals I have ever met." What a beautiful comment!
  • gabyroa
I want to heard that last frase one time again and again... when you can't do the others say... I can do it ... you're done ... so true ... really leadership ... thanks

I can do this. I really can and I'm starting now.
  • We all have defining moments in our lives. With our NM business it starts with our mindset. That place where we decide that we can do this. Once that happens our goals become much clearer and easier to achieve.
  • tambry
Through partnership, training and your company others can realize their defning moment that they can do this was a great statement And Network marketnig being a life school. It is for me.
  • I also think that network marketers are the most remarkable individual group of people.
This business makes people change for the better otherwise you'll not succeed.
  • latachia_2
He didn't think he could write his own book& once he got started he had his "aha" moment. He said most of hes defining monts came from his mentors,Rady Gage,Art Jonak ect.He considers the great training from them a s a gift of the NM business. Also he said if you can give to your new people(or even prospects) the "aha" moment of" I can do this" We would soon be on the NMPro show.
  • lisamb84
That's what I want to do: be a master coach who gives her people defining moments. Thank you for that inspiration!
  • You can do it too!
  • Tarashon Broomes
friends can be mentors to one another and can also inspire you to do things you thought you could not do
  • Transferring belief, yet another pearl...
  • Good stuff!! Transferring belief is huge!! Thanks so much Eric and John for putting this interview together. I appreciate you so much!!
  • enrique62
Help people to see that they can do this business.
  • emmettb
I think this brings it back around to the consultant, helping the people we talk with know that they can do it, and we will help them.
  • germarl
A priceless insight from John - 'give people hope and the confidence that they can do it' !!
  • martinvf
It's being a lot of things that have influenced me to continue on MLM... events, people, audios, videos... Eric's videos, etc. But I think one of my most defining moments I've had so far in my short time in MLM is when one of my sisters called me specifically to tell me that this was not for me, that I had a college degree that I rather be focused on, that the product was expensive, that it was a waste of time, etc, and she suggested me to quit.
Ofcourse I thank her for her feedback ans suggestions, I told her my reasons to be in MLM, and I had one of my most shocking and dissapointing moments in my life. I felt rejected, apart.
But that's when I realized that I really wanted to do this, I really wanted to be in MLM.
    And so, I'm still here.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.
  • janetrajala
My defining moment was when I decided to reinvent myself & that MLM was the only way to go in order to pursue that goal. Also, thanks for the continuing education in MLM.
  • Jose Lopez
Empowering people is definitely the ultimate skill to be developed in our business.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
  • keith murfet
Surely the time we were first introduced to Network Marketing has to be a major defining moment. Whether it was a 'light bulb' moment or otherwise the seed had been planted.
  • Sure enough, the things you´ll learn in this profession can really influence all aspect of your life, not only your business. People join us because they HOPE they can make it. Our job is to give them BELIEF, through coaching, mentoring and most important live meetings and events = high touch.
  • Life "is" about defining moments. Strive for greatness. Settle for nothing less. And yes, we can do this.
  • That's the defining moment I need. "I can do this!" I'm still in the state of wanting to become able to do this. I understand the beauty of network marketing and I love the way it works. I know this is the best way. But I'm still feeling like fish out of water...
  • Gakungu
Indeed. As one continues working a network marketing business, one learns from others. It is just an incredible personal development.
  • jean_albert
I agree, network marketing is a "life school". At thirty years old, thru MLM, I met people, who introduced me to books I never new existed, a different way of life from a "job" mentality, which changed my life for the better. I am always amazed, being educated to a college level, that I was still so ignorant, not stupid, but "clueless" as my daughters would say. If I had no financial success in network marketing, I would still be grateful for the changes it exposed me to!!!
  • karenandian
The defining moment for John Fogg - realization that he could write (writing the Greatest Network Marketer in 3 weeks)! Erics defining moment of "I can do this" (Network Marketing). John's advice - Learn how to do that with your people (so they have the " I can do this" moment)! You will succeed in Network Marketing. Good advice - we are sure it is like a light bulb moment! Thanks so much for sharing this. We love the energy!
  • Network marketers are the most remarkable individual group of people! What a beautiful words!!!
If you can give defining moment "I can do that" to your people, you will be very successful.

I fell in love with Network Marketing just a year ago and through that time I have learned more when all those years before.
We live to grow. It is unstoppable. If we do not grow, we are dying.

John's thoughts are very close to me.

    Best regards
  • Great interview! I never thought about the defining moment and helping others to find it. Thanks!
  • orlyalbo
Just der to do. things will come up!
  • Great point of view that it's about learning, giving and living.
Teaches important lessons from each other.
  • Just trying things will show you that you can do it... it's all about taking action!

By taking action, you will find your defining moments.
  • Bjorgli
"Yes, I can do this" must be the one of the best defining moment to anyone. Thank you so much.
  • jerryscribner
    Great content
  • transferring belief to them...would be great to hear more about how to do that effectively
  • Hi Eric! I was just thinking about this the other day. In Sweden, in my organisation, we have online webinars where members in the team help out by contributing with their storys. After being a team-member in 1 1/2 month I decided to tell my story at the webinar and while doing so, I had a defining moment. All of a sudden I understood. I "saw the light" so to speak. I understood that I could do this and if I just followed the system, being consistant over and over and over again, I just couldn't fail. My new task is learning how to show this to prospects, downlines and co-workers. Thanks again Eric & John! / Linda, Sweden
  • I am so happy you had your defining moment Linda!
  • I will be on your show...interviewed by you. It will all be because of the things I've learned from you and others like you. My defining moment was when I met with the owners of the company I'm in and they shared their why and it became very real for me.
  • brianhepner
Network Marketing produces better people. It produces givers. It produces people that can give great value. People that can Do It!!!
  • Edith Kohler
I really liked the whole 4-part
It's all about learning and teaching and I love that about the business
If all the others can succeed in N.M.,than I can do it to
  • Defining moments are an amazing source of inspiration for me, and for so many other people in our business too. Great show. Thanks and best regards from your biggest fan.
  • susanclark
#229 - John Milton Fogg Interview Part 4 of 4 - I agree with what Eric and John comments about the defining moment that Eric talked about - when he could say to himself, "I can do it." If we can then turn around and help other people see that "I can do it" themselves, you will be a tremendous success. Belief in ourselves is such a huge part of this business. Also, the personal growth that comes from networktmarketing makes it all worthwhile.
  • theuns
    Eric

I love this and i think i am in one of that "D" moments in MLM ever in my live i feel like i feel now about how i can help my team and it is so easy any one can to it it is simple it is easy and it is fun and i love it to be a mentor to my team. John thanks for your time with Eric this week. As Henry Ford Said " You can if you think you can" :-)
  • HoracioMejia
Getting involved with prosperous people is a defining moment. MLM brings you this opportunity. It has taken me some time to get to the "I can do this" sentence. That is why events are so important in this profession. Prosperous people become not only your friends, but your guides and promote your personal development. Defining moments come also from having the courage to do something different. Simple, however, not easy some times.
  • Love the ending....."If you can give people their defining moment "I can do this"....then you are off !!!
  • Maybe my lack of motivation in this industry is that I have not had that defining moment. I can name some defining moments in my other career without a doubt. Are defining moments something that you actively seek out or attract?

I love Kiyosaki and I agree that being a part of teh network marketing industry gives you invaluable information about yourself and how to interact with other people outside of the industry.
  • dstfa96
When the lightbulb goes off and we finally realize that we can do this and have that deep belief level our business will take off.

As we take this journey in network marketing we will come across a lot of people who will not only become our friends but will also serve as mentors. There is a lot that we can learn and teach each other.

When we can learn how to get the people in our organization to have that defining moment where they believe that they can do this, and if we can give them that through our partnership, what our company is doing, how good our products are, the training and support that we will provide them, then we are destined to achieve all of our dreams through our wonderful profession of network marketing, but more important we will be able to help a lot of people in our organization to achieve their dreams as well.

This was a fantastic interview! thanks sooooo much Eric for interviewing all these fantastic people who are willing to share their gems of wisdom! :-)
  • wizba4444
That was a great way to end that segment. If we can give that to ourselves and them!
  • liora
Empowering people is the essence of MLM.
  • Ria Leermakers
    Thanks for a great interview.
    Learned a lot

Defining Moments - Great information. Life is about Learning!!!
  • yuvalcohen
    Hey Eric
Thanks for teaching. It was a fascinating interview
  • hcapcarp
Defining moments happen. Sometimes in school, sometimes in struggle, sometimes in realizations. My hope and the reason I participate here is that I'll have a network marketing defining moment.
  • Daniel W. Cook III
    #20
listening to Johns audio book has been a defining moment for me... It made me say "I can do this!!" Highly recommended.
  • Great Stuff. I appreciate everything that you teach as well as the things that you point out. Most of these concepts are already within us, the problem lies with us letting them slip from conscious thought. My wish for myself is to create more defining moments. Thanks and I look forward to watching the whole interview tomorrow.
  • eddyoshaughnessy
    I can do this
  • m_cortez74
He so right i learn more from my networkmarketing buddy than any one less.... this doesnt not include the books, Cds, tapes, and the vedios...
  • jlconner
For most of us we have not yet had our defining moment. I am still looking for mine. It will come.
this has been a good interview. Not the greatest but a good one.
  • ulla99
    Lifeschool, I love it!
  • christinaglazar
Love the notion of learning from each other and we all are friends with mentors in this business - another very motivational interview!
  • eugenejohnson
Wow if he didnt break down leadership of a network Marketer i dont know what leadership is....he said if you can get your people(prospects and team members) to reach their defining moments and get them to say i can do this .....You will Go to the top....That is an awesome to put it. I Love it!!
  • timandtrcia
That moment when the penny drops and people say not only "I get it" but "I can do this. I can be good at this. I can really build something substantial here."...That's the moment real leaders work toward. Share the gift and gently help people open it.
  • Friends and mentors may just be who to look for in offering an opportunity and learning how to be one in return.

Third party tools are perfect for demonstrating, 'You can do this.' I have often left people with "I can't do this." while someone much smarter than me at multiple levels operates in such a way people are thinking, "If this guy is successful, even I can do better than he does." and they enroll.

Going to watch the entire interview now...
  • veronikakari
Turning points, we all know them in some way
  • chipc
    Yes! I can do this!
  • In life we must continuously learn. Never stop. And the best way to learn is to teach.
  • "Life is about Learning" - Wow that is so powerful a statement. The "mentor-friends" comment was also important. We learn from all the people in Network Marketing Pro even though many I have never met and some I had never heard of before. I know now that "I can do this". It is time to give that statement to many others as well.

In NMPro we all come from different companies and it is great to be able to share and learn from each other. Keep up the great stuff Eric W. - You Rock!!
  • dawnmarielagmay
I absolutely love the ideas of mentoring and being mentored and your program offers that for me and it is something that I will do w/my downline!
  • So many things to say today. This in iteelf was a defining moment and realization that Network Marketing is a "Life School." How powerful is that?

Milton Fogg came out with great passion today when he said " I can do this" - that is help my people feel like this.

One defigning moment for me was when I actually and fiinally appeared in the Google Rankings. I cried because then I realized " Ican do this" Thank you so much.
  • gmolina
Defining moments - Believing in ones self that you can do it.... Could be and should be the motivation that one needs to be successful.....
  • Marion
    I CAN & I WILL do this.
Thank you Eric & John fo ra great interview.
Looking forward to listening to the uncut tomorrow.
  • I've had so many mentors in this industry. Most of them people that does not even know me yet. So it is important to do our best every step of the way cause we don't know who will be mentored by our actions.

    Thanks Eric and John!
  • peterragg
For us to give people their defining moment in that they can do this, through your partnership, (of professionalism and mentoring) is the goal for all Network Marketing Professionals. Brilliantly put John. Thank you

    Very kind regards
    Peter Ragg
  • So true and well stated Peter. When we can inspire those we love and share with and get them to know that "they too can do this" is so true. Most people have the mindset that "it can't happen for them". We have to change that mindset.
  • great reflection on defining moments...we all have many that change our course in life
  • Tina Perdue
It is the same theme time after time. Empower others and you will all grow.
  • TAbrams
I really enjoyed this episode and to me it contained a lot of great, valuable information and hits home for me.

Since entering into this profession some of my best friends are also my mentors. It is so true that you constantly learning from everyone in this business and the true leaders will give all they have.

Loved the comment "Life is about learning" and the gift of this business is that we are able to learn and consistently grow and better not only our business, but ourselves and our people.

My defining moment in this business was very similar. When I decided this business is not just another stream of income, but this is something I can do, and I can make this thing go and be as big as I want it to be, I can blow this business up without all the headaches, the overhead and red tape of my corporate business.

Help other's get to their defining moment and continue to duplicate....
  • Great comments, TAbrams. Well stated!
  • brigittapatel
    Great interview.
Totally believe in defining moments, they shape us.
Once we truly decide to do something, everything seems to fall into place.

    Thanks a million
  • Yes, Taking action will take away any doubt that we have.
  • amberaimshigh
Mentor Friends- YES! This is a business where we are rewarded for helping eachother to grow and be successful. (Unlike the traditional workplace where people don't want to share their knowlege for fear of loss.) What a wonderful opportunity it is to offer a defining moment, such as John spoke of... "I can do this", to others. Awesome interview!
  • frankdiaz
Thanks "E" its amazing to put faces to names... I am just really just getting back into the industry and youre NMP has been defining for me....meaning not only can I do this! I become a better version of my self by helping others become better versions of themselves.....cant wait to be interviewed by you!!!! see you on the 15th.......
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hola Eric, I like when he say about the people in the olimpic Stadium in Moscow¡¡¡

  • Mark Dickson
I get up every day now and watch these video. An tell my self I can do this, thanks Eric and John.
I need this and I can do this. You keep me going.
  • Our lives are shaped by the people we meet. And who we become is determined by the books we read and the people we associate with. Network marketers are special people. You are looking for ways to improve and grow. You are focused on pulling the best from others, challenging and leading. You are intent on making other people's lives better. What better group of people to be involved with? As John said, you are remarkable people. Life truly is about learning. What better gift can you give to others than believing in them? Thanks John and Eric!
  • Well stated "dananddebbie". Our income is based upon "the books that we read and the people we hang around with". That is why Network Marketing Pro is so awesome along with our industry of NM.
  • MattinJaxfl
The gift of mentor-friends. So true. As a part-time network marketer the benefits I get spill over into my full-time job continually.

As a leader give the gift of "I can do this!". Awesome summary by John.
  • maariee
To say and feel and think "I can do this" is important. Thank you Eric and John, thank you for sharing
  • Yes, there are a bunch of defining moments for me. Going to jobs I hated gave me a defining moment nightly! "I've had enough!", over and over and over ... constant motivation.

Gem in this segment - giving your group their defining "I can do this" moments ..... absolutely brilliant. If we can get good at that, we'll build a legacy, no doubt.

As we like to tell people in our group, "if you've got the WHY, we've got the HOW."

    Best to you,
    Scott
  • Well put and I like the last sentence. You have to have a huge "Why?" in order to have the motivation to "Pay the Price" to be successful. Good nuggets!
  • Thanks Peter! You're right - your WHY has to be big enough to carry you through the tough times as you're paying the price. This is a simple business, but not an easy one ... however, it's worth the trip!

    Best to you,
    Scott
  • ngocttk
Another perfect definition of defining moment: when you believe and transmit it to your organization. I love it! Thanks Eric & John!
  • rayrios
Today episode is a Definig Moment for me. I just developed the vision of being a guest speaker of your NMP venue. This has solidify my belief that I am becoming a Network Marketing Professional. Thanks Eric. We must continue to learn in order to teach.
  • I know for me, the defining moment was at our company convention several months ago. An upline leader looked me in the eye and said, "Patty, just step into your leadership." It wasn't an immediate "Wow!" for me, but it was something that helped me to start to evolve and move forward into a different role.

Love the interview! Can't wait to see the full uncut version.
  • rasdaniels
I love that "Step into your Leadership"
  • Love that quote - "Just step into your leadership." Wow, gotta give that to my team members.
  • Bryan_in_KC
I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this interview and this segment was FANTASTIC !
With regard to defining moments.... and I say this with all sincerity... My FIRST defining moment has manifested as a result of watching NMPRO. Seriously, as a result of watching NMPRO I have gone through a paradigm shift of wondering "CAN I?" and "HOW DO I?" to "I CAN" and "THIS IS THE WAY". To put this into a singular context, my defining MOMENT was discovering NMPRO. Eric, I can't thank you enough.
  • Hai
"I CAN DO IT!" I CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT!.... A great daily affirmation!:-) Thanks !
  • Bernadette
Personal growth is so important! We need to believe we can do it and pass on the belief to others.
  • bartonmurray
defining moments...seem to happen when you stake your claim on your destiny and say I have made a decision and I have now cut off all other choices and I am going with the one. Napoleon Hill uses the analogy of burning your ship while standing on your enemy's beach.
  • ritafulton
I liked Milton's version of Robert Kyiosaki's definition of NWM.."life school" instead of "business school"..I am still working on my choice of "mentor-friends" not to be arrogant or anything, but I have come to believe in your "associations" need to pull me up not leave me lateral..

Another great interview..sounds like Eric you are enjoying Australia again!!
  • KeithN
The people that you support and train want to believe "they can do this". That's where your own leadership and personal development enable you to inspire and teach your group.
  • highimpact0406
I just went through one of my life's defining moments and having been through a few already in life, and look at them as sacred moments when we can become better because of them. Also, I LOVED the advice of giving to my organization, the thought that "they can do it" and help them understand that they have support, a good product and the ability to succeed, and that by doing that I would be a great leader! Thanks for the reminder of what a leader really should be doing for their team!
  • gmeyerson
I like the part about self-confidence, I think my lack of confidence in my own ability to do this business held me back in my first year and now that I have gained confidence and know in my heart that I am a Network Marketing Professional and that is nothing to be ashamed of, I am attracting the quality prospects that I was looking for all along.
  • Mark Abrahams
My defining moment is now - each moment is an opportunity...the challenge being to use my time upholding my values and in pursuit of my goals. Network marketers are, indeed, my sort of people. How good is it that we can reach our dreams each day, along the way - on the journey. As a professional from another world, I am now working to grow to be the best possible network marketing professional I can be - and my team will be a team of professionals duplicating what is best about this business. Thanks again Eric.
  • So true Mark. It is not so much about the outcome rather than the "journey" to get to where you want to be that matters. Life is but a journey. Great thoughts and thanks.
  • Love defining moments. I have had them, we all have had them. Life changing!
  • Paco_Carreno
I do agree a lot with John about Life as a learning experience... I'm an advocated student of everything I like in each moment... That's why I consider myself an eclectic. Obviously, there're some common themes that will repeat forever... It's our duty to identify them and elevate them to the excellence!
  • When those defining moments happen you know your on your way to succeeding in network marketing.
  • I like the comment about how we are all mentor friends to each other. And life is about learning.
  • Dee_Canada
I love this message from John. If we can guide oursleves and others to that defining moment....build in them and oursleves the confidence to simply KNOW that YOU/I can DO this.....we could take this planet by storm!!
Yesterday's message had me blogging about gratitude and aprreciation of our team members and mentors and the valuable role they all play in my life. Today's discussion compels me to look at my own belief in myself, and how I can instill belief in others in order to bring them and myself the realization of the full potential we all posess! Isn't that the hardest "sell" of all??

"I can DO this!!" Thank you both for reminding me!!
  • You are so right Dee, getting by our own "limiting beliefs" is so necessary for ourselves before we can instill it in others. Great comments.
  • lauralopez
For me a defining moment is to decide to be a Networker Profesional, many people doesn`t understand, but when you learn, when you understand residual incomes wow...you focus in the liberty freedom that everybody wants to live

  • Great interview... Thanks Eric & John!
  • kgoren
A great defining moment....realizing that networking marketing is truly a gift, in so many ways. Helping others realize their defining moment. So many wonderful people who are willing to help you realize your full potential - personally and professionally. Thank you for sharing your insight with us daily.
  • gillym1
Do you have any advice on how to guide our teams to their own defining moments?
  • It really starts with a decision. I will do this no matter what, and taking people to that turning point. Then one line comes along, then the 2nd, the 3rd and so on.

I can do this business. Ever since I started to comment in the show, day in day out, my confidence levels are raising. I not only know that I can do this, I want to do it and am commited to do it. One day you'll interview me Eric.

    Thanks.

    NOTES:
Defining moments. After years of being an editor and a ghost writer for other people, and convincing myself that I wasn't able to write a book, I got up one morning and started to do it.

When the first sentence came, and then the second, and then the third... my god, I can do this! This was one of the brightest moments and an unforgetable one.

NM are the most remarcable group of individual people I've ever met. We are allways mentoring eachother.

Kyosaki was close to the truth by stating that NM is a school.

I had the same moment inside NM: "I think I can do this and become a professional... build and organization and see it go out of my reach."

The biggest problem is for people to know that they can do this.
  • Great post- Love the NOTES section. So true.
  • denisekay
    Thanks for sharing and believeing.
  • Art D lasvegas
Great ending! I can do it.
  • margarethockaday
Giving them the can do attitude will catapult anyone's self esteem and business
  • turjcxg
What John said hit the nail on the head. Looking back at some (many) of the prospects I've talked to, they would say, "I don't know how." Very few people are willing to look at their fear in order to say, "I can try to learn how to do this."

That willingness to learn something new is going to be what determines the course of this country. Is the general population willing to learn a new emotional skill of coping with their fear in a productive way (instead of retreating to an illusion of safety, "I'll just get another job...")

Is the general population willing to learn new income earning skills offered in Network Marketing or are they going to fall back on "Well, I'll just get another job."
  • The conscious element of "FEAR" is truly one of the most important thing to get over. Someone once said the "F.E.A.R." is False Expectations Appearing Real". So true.
  • Wow! This very interview is in its own way a defining moment. I think the last two minutes of dialogue between Eric and John are amongst the most powerful concepts that have been presented (and there are so many) to date.
If we can all embrace the enthusiasm and beliefs presented today, each of our own organizations will grow exponentially. I am ordering Johns books today and look forward to the referenced forthcoming book written by both Eric and John. When can we expect this new MANIFESTO? 3 weeks? 6 weeks? We are all waiting anxiously.
Thanks again for a great interview with this Network Marketing Professional.
  • onemartymac
I would love a book on Defining moments from you guys!
  • carybennett
good stuff looking forward to the whole deal. MLM is a life school so true if people will embrace it as they should, like anything in life, just a whole lot more inspiration in this industry because we have to help other people to succeed. Thanks Eric
  • patrickmcfeely
Another great interview in our University of knowledge.
Thank you for your time Eric
  • Its a great point to keep in mind that your prospects need to think 'I can do that' before they will do the business
  • Inside each and everyone of us is an acorn. When the soil is just right, just the right temperature and just the right amount of water, the acorn will grow. And out of that small acorn a majestic oak tree will grow.
  • Tony Murray
Does anyone consider that there's really only one major defining moment in life. Because sure enough, when it does come along, it will , in order to be a REAL DEFINING MOMENT, be bigger than what we thought WAS a defining moment, and will cast a huge shadow over all the others. Just a thought.
  • Agree Tony that there probably will be one really big Defining Moment, but feel there will have to be a few smaller ones and many for that matter that will lead you to that TRUE DEFINING MOMENT. Each day I always seem to find an "aha" moment, so maybe it is a combination of it all that leads us to our path in life.
  • garyparmenter
A good mentor is someone. Who can encourage the belief in yourself. That you have what it takes to achieve your goals. In network marketing, it seems, that is what we are. Mentors one to another.
    Thanks again
  • billrogers
Defining moments! Always a great topic. Simplification, you can do this!
Great points. Not only is life a journey but it is also about learning and sharing.
  • chriskemp817
"I can do that!" It really does come down to belief. Belief that you can do what others before you have done.
  • Denise Cox
this is the perfect message for me today. sometimes i forget that just one comment like that can be game changing! thank you!

So much of what we do in Network Marketing is like the "uncorking" of a fine bottle of wine! The life long experiences and talents of the individual are often times kept bottled up in the vessel....JMF discovered this and uncorked and voilà a "Great Book" a fine vintage so to speak....our success is built upon the "uncorking" of the individuals mind and providing the decanter (our business) to truly express the full body of turning dreams into reality!! Thanks for the perspective and defining moment JMF!!
  • so true. show the enthusiasm when you promote your opp. now's the time to do it folks. people are worrying about the futures..
  • Darnell
Once you have the belief within yourself you can do network marketing or anything in general you will and the outcome will come to life. Success is the by-product of hard work and determination unbounded!! Thank you both for what became defining moments in your lives and sharing them with us!! Looking 4ward to the next video!! :)
  • drpricedc
Brilliant. Epiphany. We are selling the dream. Any time we are selling, we are selling a dream. Those who do it the best, with the best intentions are the ones that will be the top earners in their industry. Great stuff today. Thank you.
  • "I can do it".......great comment Eric!!!
  • Mailen
Thank you both for sheering yours experience with us.
    I am so greatful. . . . .
  • andreabyrge
I think it is often hard to give your team that gift of confidence that they can do this when you yourself are young in the business. How do you recommend doing that if your own success is limited?
  • Continue to read EVERY DAY!. As Jim Rohn says, "Work harder on you than you do on your business". Watch what happens. What you send out into the world is what you will get back. If you think you are only having "limited success"- Guess What. THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL GET BACK... Everyday always say "I AM A SUCCESS IN MY BUSINESS". Keep believing and eventually you will BE.
  • talya_mitzafon
I DEFENATELY AGRY WITH PETER. ON TOP OF THIS, PROMOT EVENTS! MAKE SURE THAT EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOUR TEAM WILL ATEND EVENTS. BE THERE WITH YOUR TEAM AND TOGETHER YOU WILL BUILT YOUR CONFIDENCE IN THE BUSINESS.
  • Dee_Canada
I totally understand your thought Andrea!! So...the first person to instill confidence in is YOU!! I am working on this too!
  • I've been in the business for a year to the day ;) And Andera's point is spot on. We are in a sence a lone ranger in the beginning. We are not superstars or even a twinkle being mlm virgins.

I'm in the same MLM as Eric W., and my upline state you should be in bed with your prospects hand-in-hand, step-by-step for the first 90 Days they are in the business. This is like the confidence training period, and showing of the skills.

Whats been your experience and guidance then so far?
  • Dee_Canada
    Hi David,

I've been fortunate to have lots of support available. I'm in the same company. I find the biggest challenge is knowing when to ask for help. We all start out green...so keeping to a very simple system....as few steps as possible at the beginning is essential to succeess!
  • nancy eldred
Mr. Fogg - well said -
  • drmikempa
Missed yesterday 3 of 4 interveiw. Hope and help. Isn't that waht everyone needs and wants?
  • Jillian
Terrific interview. I feel very inspired about the industry as a whole listening to JMF. Most times it is a very personal aha - but this has been a more global vision of the industry and what it can provide to individuals on a much deeper level.
  • mariasiro
Make them understand that THEY can do it, with great products, training and support! Thanks for todays show!!
  • Great last part. Its all about helping people see the greatness inside of them, and showing them that can do it.
  • randers1
John can do it and we can do it too. Once we try, we will be astounded by our own performance. Mentor-friend relationships are a major goal for me in this business. If you’re organization will get the; I can do this mentality. Give them that and they will get success. Whether it’s immediate or eventual, it will come.
  • carolbarrett
Terrific segment Eric and John--this one is definitely my favorite. I am this close to that ah ha moment.
  • Hans
Network Marketers are the most remarkable individual group of people I've ever met!
  • Hans
    I can do this!
  • Chris
Amazing. Thank you Eric for this outstanding interview. First time I heard John and was blown away.
  • Excellent. Out the door to assist team.
    Thanks,
  • Foord Yates

Be a mentor and yes I can do this! Work hard today, work hard today and then work harder today. I am off tonight for my opportunities national convention. I am looking forward to learning from those that are working hard everyday. I am excited for the energy and I am excited for the friendships. Rock on folks!
  • claralondono
Mentor friends..wow .love that..and lived that Thank you mentors.
  • mbryant
Excellent finishing statements by Eric and John. Looking forward to watching the uncut complete interview!
  • hlj521
WOW! Thank you once again!!! I can do this! No one can stop me. It is so awesome to hear about the defining moments in the lives of others. It is so refreshing and it reminds me that everyone is faced with obstacles but it is how we deal with them that makes the outcome positive or negative.
  • Katie N
Wow.After listening to this one I really feel like anything is possible.Thank you for this great interview. Can't remeber how I stumbled upon you months ago but I'm glad I did.
  • Cee_G
Hi Eric....This session had alot of great "nuggets" jammed into it. Especially our friends in NM also being our mentors. So true...we all bring something to the table. And ending with "I can do this" mentality. Again, so true. PS...write the book....You can do it!!!
  • We are always learning. I been writing few points down and it this interview, is kinda of all boils down to mindset & belief.
  • caronwashington
He's right...we have creatd mentor-friends in this business. My partners I can definintely learn from each one and we inspire and motivate each other to do more. He talked about our profession being an education on life. Great concept because it is. Personal development is huge. I like when he said when you can get your people to have their own defing moment and help them realize they can do it you have created a life of its own. The team will grow without you. Nothing better than empowerment and inspiration. They will thank you for life and do the same for someone else.
  • randyhendrickson
I know I can do this. I haven't stepped up and did it. It is watching these interviews and reading the comments which will lead me to the path of success
  • eabus
He believed he could write his book... I can do this.
That makes a difference in mindset in any endeavor.
  • tomlacey
Some very deep thought on life, learning and network marketing. I hope you do that book.
  • jeffreyhall
Perhaps it is about having a real, true belief. Could it be that defining monuments are those points in time when you have that epiphany that you have the belief.
  • Episode 20 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Throw Down Challenge:

SImple concepts always have the greatest impact... Great job Eric and John...

Build Trust Transfer Belief. Help others BELIEVE that they can DO this...

On a another note a dear friend and mentor gave me his personal edition of The Greatest Marketer in the World last night... Can't wait to start reading it..
  • I would certainly read that book with defining moments. I like to freeze time and and capture the moment when life takes different paths.
    Alex Tita
    Here as promised.
  • soxfan071
Being rather new at this myself I'm finding that I have a series of defining moments. Every time I meet a new prospect or someone joins our team I get a new feeling of "I can do This". I am working hard to have that feeling more often by filling the pipeline and by sharing this great business opportunity with moe people. More to come!
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
I suppose mr Fogg is right about this: we have to prove to ourselves that we can do it, just by starting doing it. (Like he wrote his 1st lines of the book). If we can prove it to ourselves, we can prove it to others and by doing so become more succesfull every timespan. Thanks for the inspiring words.
  • Network marketers have provided John with most of his significant life-defining moments. That’s because of the TYPE of people who end up choosing NM. They’re people who cognite: “I can DO this. It’s up to ME.”

Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.
  • annenz
Never ending learning and yes I can do it... Thanks
  • So todays new key to success is "IF you can give/train your team to make/create their defining moment, this will make you successful. Duplicate this, and your set for life". This is a beauty ;)
  • wouterdeprez
I think that you can only let people believe they can do it, is when you truly belief it yourself they can do it..
  • Part 4 was great! I think John hit the nail on the head when he said that if you can get people to the point where they say 'I can do this' then you can build a giant business. Good Stuff again. Thanks Eric and John.
  • Lotta
Never-ending learning prosess. That what I love whit MLM.
  • Kjell Englund
I think it´s all about developing new skills. When you have done and understand your homework you are ready to set the sails.

    "From hope to belief"
  • Thanks Eric & John
  • MagnusEdvald
I like this point about the moment when people realize that they can do this. The thing is to learn how to help them get there.
  • agreed ;)
  • Lisette
Thank you Eric for this interview.
I agree with that life is about learning, and I am going to read his books. And at the same time I am learning the language better, business with pleasure.
    Thank´s again.
  • karenandian
We like your comment! Life is about learning!!
  • Things really start to change when your mindset goes from wanting to do it, to thinking you can do it, to knowing you can do it.

Most definitely a life school. Thanks John!
  • karenandian
Mark - this is so true (I am sure), we are at the same place David is at - working towards - We know we can do this!
  • I don't know about you Mark, but I haven't delevoped the "I can truely believe I can do this" mindset yet. The level I am at currently is "I WILL do this until I DO succeed. I WILL learn and do whatever it takes TO succeed." I apprieciate TIME more now a days ;)
  • karenandian
We are with you David! We (I believe) are at the same place.
  • I believe I've only just got there, and it's taken me 5 years!

    Watch this space!
  • 5 years ;) Its nice to hear this. MLM is like a university degree in social interactions and people skills. My hats off to you my friend for sticking in there. I personally just completed my first year of service, and I can honestly say, I have learned SOOOOO much. Its only recently I started having fun though. I was very serious about money and business when I started. Now its starting to be a lifestyle rather than a job. :)
  • Erik
After read his books many times it was allmost magical to se John here at NMPRO, life is abouth learning, we are a life school. Make them feel that they can do this. Thanks for a great interview :)
