My hair is falling out by the day - so I'm wlel on my way. Haha and that rhymed. LOL. Great interview again Eric. There is definitely a consistent theme coming out of these interview with respect to working hard and being consistent. The fun part is hearing the guests share it in their own words. Great job Eric.

    Three things I learned.
Network Marketing is the people's franchise, Life is about learning, and staying the course even when times are touhg.
  • aliceflanders
Sorry, the presence or absence of hair DOES NOT MATTER. And I have plenty. Want some?
  • aliceflanders
    life is about learning
all really successful leaders are mentors
you need to keep at it even when you do not feel like it. Especially when you do not feel like it.
  • Another series I enjoyed. Was great to hear from the author of "Greatest Networker in the World"
  • heatherbrocklehurst
Loved the uncut interview! The whole interview was valuable to me, I don't think I could pick 3 points. The importance of focusing more on your people than yourself, hard work, dedications and consistancy and defining moments were big ones.
  • GREAT interview...

Hard work, Dedication, Burning Desire & focused big ego!

I loved the MLM is "The Peoples" Franchise!
  • 1. Believe is a skill
    2. Work your butt off
    3. Don't judge someone till you listened.

What did you get out of it, Eric?
Great by the way to see how you both want to crawl inside the camera. ;-)
  • Dylan Cooper
Fantastic interview. This is one to watch over and over.
  • yitz613
The Greatest Networker in the World has inspired many...
  • Great interview...even better listening to the complete version. It's so simple...why do we make it so hard.....Do it once, do it again, promote and do it again.....etc....One other thing, I believe that we all need to look for and relive our defining moments, and if we don't have one, go out and make one.
  • bradyg09
This is the good stuff. Let me ask you. While i understand the need to keep things simple. Why does it seem that so many "leaders" seem to be afraid to dive into the deep stuff? The real stuff, behind the scenes That it "really" takes to go big in this business? Things like, "belief", you know, the deeper"mindset" side of the game.
  • meagankellytorres
    Promotion! Belief! Hard work!

and above all else To thine own self be true.... I absolutley love that... It is my motto to along with How may I serve?
  • Calvin Boutilier
    Relationship!!

3 things that I like in the interview:
    - Put the attention on your people
    - This business is about promotion
    - Carry the weight
  • John Milton Fogg is always a delight to listen to...and he has NEVER followed anything other then the beat of his own drum. A true non-conformist...and a maverick in his own right....this is a get rich slow biz....relationships first and last....duplication done the right way is the way to success....and best one ..
    keep things simple...the people's franchise.
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
DEdication and consistency. Thank you for another great interview
  • Thank you for bringing this to us...!
  • jlt0wn
this is one to listen to more than once or twice. "3 major things received from this interview" - relationships are critical with prospects & teams, no progress with out effort, there's always more to learn. It's entertaining to watch Eric try to get John to answer the questions in the format/direction he wanted.
  • net22
Eric, as always great information - also entertaining.
  • Ryan
Peoples franchise...success leaves clues.. loved the interview
  • mspaulamc
Got my nugget ... "I help them ferret it out" ..

and, I am thankful I have hair ... I am a shoe in!
  • Our business is based on relationships and partnerships.

    1. Work your but off.
    2. Dedication, tell your story more than others.
    3. Burning Desire, Certainty, Determination.

" Network marketing could be the number one agent of world peace" :D

  • crwood1967
Again, I must say I like the full unedited interviews! Keep them up.
  • Vonnita2010
WOW!! I HAVE TO SAY I AM ALWAYS BLOWN AWAY WITH THE UNCUT VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW, I LOVE THE WAY YOU DIVIDE IT INTO FOUR PARTS AND THEN GIVE US THE WHOLE IT'S LIKE A REMINDER AND CLOSURE FOR THE BIGGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT PARTS OF THE INTERVIEW. YET IN EACH ONE THERE IS ONE PART OF THE INTERVIEW THAT WAS CUT OFF AND NOT BECAUSE IT WASN'T IMPORTANT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT BUT THAT WILL GET YOU TO KNOW HOW WORTH IT, IT WAS TO WAIT FOR THE FULL VERSION AFTER WATCHING EACH PART. SO COMMENT ON 3 THINGS... WOW, THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS BUT LET'S SEE... NM IS A LIFE LESSON! FOR SURE IT IS NOT JUST HOW MUCH YOU EARN AT THE END BUT HOW MUCH YOU GROW EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS! DETERMINATION.... TOGETHER WITH A BURNING DESIRE.. IN THIS CASE THEY HAVE TO COME TOGETHER AND WORK TOGETHER, BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT WITH ONLY ONE OF THEM, HAVING THE GIFT OF BEING A MENTOR AND TAKING EACH ONE OF YOUR UNDERLINES TO THE POINT OF WHERE THEY FIND THEIR POINT OF BLAST WHEN THEY REALIZE THAT THEY CAN DO THIS, WORKING YOUR BUT OFF, UNFORTUNATLY SOME PEOPLE THINK ... LIKE I HEARD ONCE FROM A FRIEND THAT THIS IS A MONEY MAKING OPORTUNITY AND YOU GET RICH QUICKLY AND WHEN IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN THEN YOU HAVE THE COMMENT... OF THIS DOESN'T WORK.... !!! IT TAKES TIME AND HARD WORK TO BE ABLE TO APRECIATE AND VALUE WHAT YOU HAVE, TO REALIZE THAT REACHING YOUR DREAMS TAKES EFFORT AND SWEAT! BUT THAT IT IS POSSIBLE AND WORTH IT, AND THE BEST PART BEING ABLE TO SHOW THAT AS AN EXAMPLE TO THE REST OF THE PEOPLE, AND YES... NOT MANY CAN, BUT THOSE WHO DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT THEY CAN AND THEN DO IT THANKS TO YOU... IS FOR ME ONE OF THE BIGGEST SATISFACTIONS IN LIFE, KNOWING THAT YOU NOT ONLY CHANGED YOUR LIFE, BUT HELPPED OTHERS CHANGE THEIRS!! I CAN GO ON... AND HOPEFULLY NOT VERY FAR FROM NOW I WILL BE THE INTERVIEWE... MY BEST TO ALL NM. LETS KEEP IT UP ERIC.
  • CarlosVera
    • This business is the “people’s franchise”, a relationship business
    • Consistent hard work to get the job done, whether you feel like it or not. People have to be willing and proud to be able to do what it takes (meaning consistent hard work) to become successful in the “people’s franchise” business.
    • Motivation, here it is again. Find your "why" and realize you can do it, and then help others do the same.............
  • CINDYSU
FANTASTIC INTERVIEW!!! Even better uninterrupted. I definitely will order one of John's books today. Thanks John and Eric.
  • Today I'm cleaning room. Going through the small lines that were left behind. This show was one of them, and I had to push through emotion and procrastination to have it done.

Now, it is done! One more nail in the coffin.

Thanks Eric. Thanks John. Meet you at the top!

    NOTES:
Relationship based business. Our relationship basis is different from other marketing.
In the end we move produtcts and services, but the relationship aspect is the core of it all.
    Belief.
If belief is not important, I have a job and work for a paycheck.
In Network Marketing everything is about me. After learning all I have to learn, then it's all about belief. Do I have enough belief to get shut down on the phone? Find the sizzle for me in the product.

You don't have to know how to succeed when you start. We will teach you.

Belief is a skill. Develop a belief in myself, the profession and the industry.
This business is all about who I become. It is a becoming process and growing by engaging in the process. And it is about the number of people I touch and contribute to grow and eveolve in MLM.

Success leaves clues: work his or her but off. This is hard work. A professional is someone who gets up the stage and gets the job done, wether he wants is or not. DEDICATION.

Ours is a incredible repetitive business. Tell the story, tell the story, tell the story, over and over again. And then transfer belief. And the most successful people I know tell the story more times and better than anyone else.
And they do it wether there's 1 person, 10, 20 or 1,000. Over and over again. "I love what people do with their passion".

The repetiteveness tends to disappear, because everyone is different and the audience will change day after day.
Focus on listening to people and be focused on what they love.

    1 - Work Ethic
2 - Dedication (they do it wether they like it or not)
    3 - Burning Desire - Ambition
Expectation, intention, certainty. DETERMINATION. People bring the doubt with them and are succeeding.

How do I develop a burning desire?
Desire is fuelled by passion and emotion. There's magic and power in building a relationship with the prospect and have them reveal what's most important to them.

The "I'm too cool for this" VS finding the ambition (the desperation can help me find the passion and the ambition).
We're going to start changing the way in which we relate with eachother in the new economy. And this is a spiritual change as well.

    4 - Character and people's values.
Every leader I ever met has a big ego. The shift is... here I can have my big ego, but my attention is on my people. The commitment to my people. The more this is rewarded, it will take the attention of the world. This is the currency that will change the world in the way we're looked at.

    5 - World Class Promoters.
This is a business of promotion. For leadership, the formula is to get a large group of people to do a few simple things over a consistent period of time. What are we going to tell our people to do and how are we going to motivate them to do it over a consistent period of time and replicating the process?

A CONSISTENT COLLECTION OF MANY SMALL EFFORTS THAT GO TOGETHER TO MAKE A BIG ONE.

Give more attention to the people doing the small stuff. There's no Diamond whose success is not build in the consistency of small efforts done by the thousands of persons in their downline.
This is not taking advantage of people, it is the willingness to carry the weight to light the fire.

THE PEOPLE'S FRANCHISE. It is the constant consistent effort over time that needs to be rewarded and celebrated.

One book to buy that will help me achieve what I'm capable to achieve?
    - The Greatest Sallesman in the World, The Choice, by Og Mandino
    - Atlas Shrugged
    - Think and Grow Rich
    - How to Win Friends and Influence People
    - A Million Miles in A Thousand Years, by Donald Miller

The best advice you ever received?
This above all, to thy own self be true.

    Defining moment?
After years of being an editor and being called a ghost writer for other people, I got up one morning and started writing the greatest networker in the world. When I put the first sentence down, and then the second, and the third... "MY GOD, I CAN DO THIS!"

Most of my defining moments came at the hand of Network Marketers. I don't have a friend in this business that isn't also a mentor.

This is the real gift of this business.
Kyosaki wasn't far off when he told that we were a school. We are a school, a school of life.

EW - I had the same defining moment "I can do this and build an organization that will thrive beyond my reach"

The people on the chairs want to know exactly that "I CAN DO THIS". If I can give them this, this feeling, this certainty, I'm off to the stars.
  • pech
    Peoples franchise.
If you can give your people that defining moment ”I can do this”, your are off.
A good sponsor get people to belive in them self.
Thank you to Eric and Jonh
  • AviPeer
Thank you Eric for exploring us to great people
  • Great Show- After 20 years he gets passionate and excited when he talks about the lesser-promoted points of the business and our life. Even Eric looked like he was having trouble containing Fogg! A great shot in the arm from the two of you!
  • hanneretvik
Another top interview! I think that getting the defining moment of "I CAN DO THIS!" for yourself and then be able to transmit it to others is the most import thing. I'm not really there yet, but I will be... thanks to your daily inspiration. I am also thankful for your book recommendations:
  • Donna Wheaton
    Eric and John

Thank you so much I have truly enjoyed this time together.
  • John Boyd
I could not resist making a recording of this so that I can listen to it again and again at work and in the car. A BIG JMF fan!
  • the mustache was very distracting ~ needs a little color on the left side!-noted in defense of the hair comment ;) Seriously, Great interview. I know I can do this. I know I am a leader.
We definitely have a better way!
Thanks for all your training, I'll defend you any day!
  • happyhealthybob
Personal Development is huge, relationships are everything and work your butt off
  • AdvocareJax
I absolutely agree that personal development is everything.

You have got to get the job done even when you do not want to.

Always share the same story every time for the new audience.
  • jean_albert
Your continued interviews with MLM/NetWorking Professionals has been a great encouragement in the face of perceptions by friends, relatives, & new contacts. Thanks
  • agelfederico
Belief in the industry, the importance of relationships, and promotion

    Excellent interview
  • Shovers
Great stuff! John came highly recommended by my mentor. My first time of actually hearing him speak. Currently listening to Michael Clouse and heard of John through him as well as my mentor. Can't wait to get his book! Thanks for the introduction, I look forward to more of his material.
  • Great interview Eric. What a great industry where personal growth is part of the payoff.
  • I waited to watch and comment on this full video until after I re-read "The Greatest Networker" and "Conversations with the Greatest Networker." I am so glad I made that extra effort because the interview had even more meaning for me. I have enjoyed Mr. Fogg's works for many years, but have never met him in person. Thank you for this interview that was almost as good as being in the same room.

Again, it is difficult to choose just 3 things:
    1) This is a relationship business. If you don't know how to succeed when you start; we'll teach you.
    2) Themes of NWM: Work Ethic, Dedication/Determination, Burning Desire, Commitment to your people
    3) It's not only who you become; it's the number of people whose lives you touch as you take them with you on your journey.
  • daddykekere
Wonderful interview Eric. Pls forgive my previous comment.Watching the interview as a whole was so much different from watching it piecemeal. Your interviewing skills were marvelously tactful. so pls forgive my comments.Thanks.
As for the 3 things I learned, they are:

    Work your face off
Its about caring for your people-Your leaders and team at large
Be a master at repetition and promotion. Thanks Eric for all you do. God bless you.
  • quincy
Another great interview. Three things I got from from this interview were:
    1. Its about the masses of people Im helping. Their success and achievements recognized and not my own.
    2. You gotta work your BUTT OFF. (hearing this in many interviews)
    3. Be a great promoter.

I fully appreciate the attention put on your people. Its all about your people. The biggest earners understand this.
  • 3 Major things:

    1. you can learn how to build the business in 2 hours, everything else is building YOU and belief
    2. a real leader isn't talking about their big house, they are talking about their people who they helped get a big house and better lifestyle
    3. we "see" big income earners with lifestyle, but we don't see them "working hard", but they all DO work hard and thats why they have the lifestyle

    excellent!
  • Inger
I loved "the Greatest Networker in the World" and as John said I was wondering who it was :-)
I also loved "the Peoples Network". What I didn't know is that there also used to be an MLM company called that way. I use it sometimes when people don't understand. John has a great way with words!!
  • Lotta
    1. Belife
    2. Relationships
    3. Work hard

Thank Eric and John for a great interview
  • Edith Kohler
    Belief,tell the story and development
Everytime after hearing all this great people, just telling their story
It gives me the feeling, that I can do this too
Be honest and sincere,it it what it is
It feels more natural to me ,than it was in the beginning
    Thank you so far.
I still have one question about what was said in the interview
When you asked John ,what was the best advise he ever received?I'm not sure what the answer was
Played it several times but can't hear it

  • The 3 things I liked the most from this interview were:
    1. Network Marketing is the people's franchise - love that!!
    2. We should all be both friends and mentors to each other in this industry.
    3. We should strive to give people the ability to say, "Hey, I can do this!"
  • Ngoc Tran
Three major things I have received in this interview:
    1. Be the best you can be in MLM: developing self, building the relationship, doing for self not by self, falling in like and in love with people, contributing to other, working hard…
    2. MLM is a business of relationship, promotion and duplication.
    3. Defining moment: it is so important because it decide the DNA of our lives - Believe and think that you can do it!
  • emmettb
Had ordered the book "the Greatest Networker" the week before, I read it during this week. How quickly things can change. Thanks for both your great efforts.
  • Luis Gringras
Believe, work harder, promoting, telling story profesion are one the the big learnings of this interview
  • Jessi
Belief in yourself, belief in your products, great sponsors! You tell the story, you tell the story, you tell the story - you transfer belief...
  • keithnc67
I like waiting for the "complete" interviews - loved this one!
  • Jilliangene
Excellent Interview!! My three are: Leaders work real real hard and are true professionals. They do what it takes to move the team, business and profession to amazing highs. They are a wealth of information. 2. The gift of this business is in telling your story. The fundamentals don't change just the crowd listening. The spark of this business is listening/helping people. Once you belief (in yourself, team, business, story) have a vision, willing to work hard, and learn the basics of MLM success is possible.
Thank you both for a defining moment interview.
    Jillian
  • cherisizzles
    1. Contribution to OTHERS (I love that)
    2. You can learn the basics of MLM in an hour and a half, but after that it's all about BELIEF
    3. How you tell a leader - not talking about the car, houses, travel of themselves, they talk about the car, houses and travel of people on their TEAM.
  • Robertdiggsjr
    1. How you feel about doing something that day doesnt matter....work ethic does
    2.belief is critical
    3.Promote,Promote,Promote
  • 1. At the end of the day it is MY business.
2.It is not only about the person you become, but the number people you touch and take with you on that journey.
    3. The leader who has succeeded beyond belief, brags about his people succeeding beyond belief!(parphrased!)
Thanks John and Eric, here's your love! xoxoxoxo
  • Barnell Neville
It is my business, but it is not about me.
This is a growning busniess, I have to be willing to grow and help others.
Keep telling the story to as many people as possible.
  • margarethockaday
excellent interview, there were some things that i missed in the first 4 parts. Belief being taught if you don't have any. Must have passion for the business and tell your story. The different relationships that you have with your sponsor and the people you sponsor or prospect. Having true dedication to what you are doing.
  • drkay
"... the person YOU become in building these relationships." Boy, I missed that one before. Like the expression, "Network marketing is a Personal Development Program, disguised as a Business." Maybe that has been MY problem all along in becoming successful at this business model.
I never heard "Belief is a Skill." That is a revolutionary idea. I guess I never thought that I was "TAUGHT"
Defining moments... still the best part of these talks. I appreciate that Milton saw that the words came effortlessly. (I am looking forward to that book.) I live for the day that I see that "I can do this". And I LONG to hear this from my prospects!
Also, You know what they say, "God made a few PERFECT heads... all the rest He covered with hair"
  • Carlos Perez
Relationships, believe, the jorney, be professrional, Practice, consistensy, people that want more and better, wrok ethics, a burning desire, determination, Promotion of Event, are important. the book to read is Think, and grow rich. Ilussions, a million miles in a thounsand years.
  • feltricks
I'm sorry, I saw the show on friday and I thought I've posted a comment.
The most important thing I got from the show is BELIEVE. Leaders sow believe in people.
We work harder than anybody, they are committed and consistent, means dedicated.
We are professionals on what they do.
We have an incredible burning desire.
    We are great promoters.
    Thanks guys, amazing show.
  • I just realized what a profound impact the full uncut Million Dollar earner interviews have on my personal belief system... Thanks John & Eric for a "rockin week"
  • I've received the concept of:
    1. Telling my story more
    2. Relationships
    3. Asking the question, what 3 things I received from the interview
It made me more aware of what makes a NMPRO
  • bryantkeefe
Celebrate the small steps, be a mentor and work harder and then harder!
  • danmccormick
refreshing!! After living the life of networking for 27 years it never gets old to hear another story. Can I learn one more thing? Can I repeat a story in another way? Can I teach another principle with the energy of a brand new distributor? Can I say I'am ready to teach it again. The power of duplication and repetition is the mother of skill.... so I say lets make this the greatest day I have ever lived. Thank you Gentlemen
  • Pepeneto
It was a great interview as usual, I think I like the "broadway play" idea...we talk the same script every day but the public is not always the same...and It was good to know about "the greatest networker", I started to read the book...congratulations...
  • Bea Resnick
The "defining moment" creates the belief. Belief is a requirement...and we can transfer our belief to others. We can transfer the defining moment of "I can do this."

Dedication is being professional by just getting the job done whether we feel like it or not.

Attention and focus on others is where we'll grow the most.

I did order "The Greatest Networker" early in the week. Got it in 2 days and read it quickly! I so appreciated the fact that the story includes a powerful woman as teacher. Many of the "older" books have nothing to do with women, so this book is refreshing.
  • Irina
    1. relationships
    2. belief
    3. promotion
"The Greatest Networker in the World" is very good! I enjoyed reading it!
  • karivankleef
    1. Relationship building
    2. We are in the business of promoting
    3. Reward and recognize those that are reaching the little milestones
  • JenniferDu79
    1) Belief as we all know but it doesn't have to be doubtless
    2) Promoting events and being a successful promoter is where it is at
    3) To transfer belief to others, to get them to see that they can do this, that is where it duplicates.
  • jerryscribner
    Belief, persistence, relationships
  • I love the bonus footage. Thanks and enjoy Australia!
  • Another great interview full of expertise and powerful messages. My top 3 things:

    1. Transfer belief
    2. Work hard whether you feel like it or not. That is what we do in our regular jobs, so why not do it in something that means much more and had much higher potential to us.
    3. Can't beat building strong relationships.
  • Ken McRae
In my previous comments, I neglected to cite the three themes or specific ideas in this Interview which spoke the loudest to me, or stood out the most.

    1. The first thing has to be, JMF's comments about the pre-eminence of 'belief' as the foundation of the business. He said that the basic mechanics of how to build it (i.e. the biz) can be learned in 1.5 hours, on a Sunday afternoon, but from that point on, it's largely all about the 'belief' factor: belief in yourself, belief in your upline and downline, belief in your product-line, belief in your opportunity, belief in 'the System', etc. So, the power of 'belief', then, is the pre-eminent requirement for building a successful MLM biz.

    2. However, JMF later expands on this theme a little, when discussing the theme of 'burning desire' (the third of the five main themes). He stated that even more important than 'certainty' itself, (which is the fruit of highly developed 'belief',) is the power of 'determination'! In connection with this, he said many Networkers bring their doubts with them into the business, but manage to succeed, in spite of them, because of the power of sheer 'determination'.

As a side-note, though, it was interesting to hear JMF state, implicitly, that the possession of 'belief' does not necessarily mean that one is entirely free of 'all' doubts. It is possible to have them both, though the stronger one's faith becomes, the weaker one's doubts become, until one day they no longer exist! Just pure 'unadulterated' faith, or "certainty," as JMF calls it. It is important for us to realize this, about 'belief', that there are different degrees of it, and that the presence of doubt does not necessarily negate the presence of genuine faith in the new Networker.

So, the power of sheer determination to succeed, despite the lingering presence of nagging doubts, was the second thing that spoke loudest to me. JMF implicitly notes that while belief and determination are, in fact, distinct, they are also closely related. One can hardly think of determination without the presence of belief. This was sort of what JMF appeared to state of the very beginning, when Eric was trying to get him to begin discussing the five themes with "1.1" or "one-one". Right there JMF explicitly notes that they are so connected and related, that it would be difficult at best to try and assign them a number or ranking of individual importance. That would seem to imply that the absence of any one of the five would limit one's progress and success as a professional networker.

Just for clarity's sake, the five main themes were, 1. A good work ethic; or working yourself to the max! A 110% ++ all-out effort to get the job done; 2. True dedication; 3. A burning desire; in the sense of the sheer determination to succeed, against all odds! This type of burning desire was distinguished from the other kind, if I'm not mistaken; associated with "passion and feeling," or the "power-of-the-dream" and the thrill of the "hunt"! Both forms of burning desire, I suspect, are just different manifestations of one energy, and equally useful, so to be exercised and developed. 4. The fourth theme was the Big Ego that is turned around to serve and protect the people, or members of its extended networking family, who have bonded with it, by the power of love.

Love is not a word that came up much, if at all, (on account of “masculine” predispositions, I suppose,) but it was clearly implied under the theme of developing genuine "relationships" with your upline and downline. So, the 4th main theme seemed to be something like: "the bigger the ego, the more love there is to spread around to the people, when it (i.e. the Big Ego) is turned around, in their service. 5. The fifth main theme was becoming a "world-class promoter." Again, this is so closely related to the previous (4th) theme, and yet is a distinct skill of its own!! However, one can hardly imagine becoming a "world-class" promoter without world-class belief and love for "your" people (upline-downline), and for the “business” opportunity.

At any rate, I’ll wind-down with this: The five themes strike me personally as "the works of belief"; a believer in all the things mentioned above. They are all manifestations of "belief," hence the importance and magic of "belief", and knowing how to teach and inspire it in your downline. So we could say, in some sense that the general theme of the interview was "belief" and its main manifestations. We could also say it was equally about the works of love, in building “relationships”; for even the "determination" to succeed is, in some sense, for the sake of your people, and their success. When they succeed, then we succeed with them! We are determined to succeed for "their" sakes, just as much as for our own; for their success is our success (and vice versa)!! We shall leave it there, for the moment; as there is something else of equal importance I'd like to spend a few short words on.

    3. This is the third thing, now, which spoke loudest to me; and it is, perhaps, the most important thing that was discussed; or at least mentioned, since it received the least amount of attention, out of all. And yet, it deserves, in its own right, to be one of the "main" themes of discussion; and that thing concerning the best advice JMF had ever received, or "was given." To this question, JMF replied with a line from Shakespeare: "“This above all, to thine own self be true!!" Now, that is a subject that could easily have filled-up a 10 minute segment. What does it mean? To remain true to yourself? And how is that relevant to our success, both professional and personal? Not “if “, obviously, but when JMF returns to NMPro, for his next Interview, it is my wish that he’d commit a portion of it to the discussion of this particular theme.

Shakespeare himself answers that question for us, in part, with the words that immediately follow upon those quoted by JMF: "And," he says, "it must follow as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man." It would appear from this that person who is false with himself, that is lies to and decieves himself, or does not listen to his heart, he will be false with his people. It should be unncessary to say much about this, but in the event that it might help to clarify things, we shall venture to say that within every person there is an inner law that guides them, or at least tries to. Some have referred to it as Nature, or the Way; or the Tao of Man. When we follow Nature, or the Inner Law of the Heart, and harmonize with it, we remain "true" to ourselves; that is, to our Higher Nature.

How this affects or applies to the decisions we make and steps we take, or fail to take, in building an MLM business, is the topic of a future discussion! I hope.

    Great interview! Here are my 3 things;
1)"Character, quality of peoples values & vision as important qualities to have for what it takes to make success needs to be focused on more" I whole heartedly agree.
    2) Give to your people through your partnership the powerful realization that 'they can do it too!'
    3) Temper your ego, be a mentor, and learn from people too even leaders are constant learners

Looking forward to reading "The Greatest Networker in the World".
  • always hearing John Fogg because I enjoyed his greatest networker book so much, thanks guys!
  • clairecameron
Great interview. Thanks. My three things:
    1. Belief is a skill
    2. Get the job done whether you feel like it or not
    3. If you give your people that "I can do this" moment, you will succeed

and a fourth read The Greatest Networker in the World.
  • Vange01
What a great interview, I learned a lot:
    1. Passion and believe - what moves you, your why
    2. Relationships
    3. Promote, promote and promote
    4. Read, read and read.

    Thanks
    Erick
  • amberaimshigh
Why are we doing this? Is the why big enough to make the change? That is up to you! It's up to the sponsor to find your why with you and help you acheive it! But unltimately its telling the story over and over again!
  • Help find their WHY. If you have a big enough why you can do this.
  • Matt Genet
Tell the story and transfer belief. The Leaders tell the story more.
People who want more and better are fun to hang around with.
Help people ferret out what is most important to them so they can withstand obstacles.
Will Americans find their ambition again?
Network marketing could be the number one catalyst to world peace.
Can have a big ego but attention is on your people.
  • lopazelasane
I believe this is one of the best interviews I have seen so far Eric GREAT Job...
  • What a cracking interview, thank you Eric, thank you John. I think the three defineing moment of John's comments to me were:
1/ That this is a relationship business.
2/ To pay attention more to the little things that we all have to do.
3/ To transfer belief in others that: "You know I can do this"
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
1.its not about us, it's about our people, we have to manifest that, to create succes/pride
2.it is not about taking advantage of people, but carying weight by giving people the opportunity of
    a 'peoples-franchise'
3.believe in yourself and in this business, (believe can be (re-)developped in your team too)
(liked mr Milton Fogg mentioning Jonathan Seagull, it was important to me, about self-development)
    ... and I have hair ... :-)
mr Milton Fogg, thank you very much, interesting interview, Eric, THANK YOU!
  • lucbehar
Eventhough i watch each single four pieces the completed one is SOOOOO good
Starting to read his book again tonight
    Thanks
  • John, thanks for sharing your experience. But I really enjoyed your thought & insights.
The complete interview gave me a better picture of what you meant in some statements in the cut version.
    1. Shakespeare every night
    2. take by the Hand & the Hart
    3. Mentor and Friend <> Friend and Mentor
  • peterburrows
This week I wasn't quite getting it... I could not catch a thread.
But my goodness, it all fell together today in the uncut version..... Marvelous
  • beckydesabah
    I received much more than 3 things . . . but the most important 3 are :
    1. We are in a relationship business - people want to feel you care about them - we have to nourish these relationships,
    2. Master your skills in promoting,
    3. Dedication, work ethic, belief and determination are cornerstones of a job welldone.

Thank you Eric, thank you John for such a great interview.

BTW... "The Network Marketing could be the #1 agent of world peace...." great idea...I love it.
  • wouterdeprez
Well that inspired me a lot! The things I learned?
    1) it's a relationship business, not an internet business
    2) nwm is a "school of life"
    3) promotion
    thx!
  • veronikakari

Become a world, class promoter.... This is a skill beyond all others in our profession. Master IT!!
  • Lorraine
Wonderful interview. Great to see and hear succesful leaders approach to their business.
  • Awesome interview.. Thanks again Eric and John so much!!
  • Since he said it took him three weeks to write his book, I decided to be more careful with my own reflexions and keep them in a notebook. I am learning to be more sociable. Thanks to Mr. Fogg for giving his book for free. I love it!
  • Always a joy to listen to John. You make it a double joy Eric because you pull out the stuff that helps us understand what this business is really about.

    Thanks my Network Marketing Friend,

    Ced Reynolds

How to books; are talking at you. Don’t fall into the trap of talking at people. Behave as an enlightened sponsor. Relationships are this business. If it were properly named, instead of network marketing, it would be called relationship building. Now Belief: in the industry, in the company, in the product, in the training, and in yourself. Mentor coaches, take material from the company, and find the sizzle for you in the product and opportunity. Take each of our candidates and establish belief in them. Walk them through the steps and firmly establish a strong base of belief. Personal and professional growth is what makes us in network marketing, who we are. The contribution to others is how you can tell a leader.
Leaders work his or her butt off. Many things we would rather do, but leaders will do that which is required to help others succeed. Get the job done whether you feel like it or not. Tell the story and transfer beliefs are fundamental business building activities. People who want more and better. Burning desire: for something better or to achieve our goals. Tremendously determined to succeed.
Burning desire is fueled by passion. Help your folks reveal what is most important to them. Life purpose is connected to burning desire.
Now is the time to be on fire for something and share that torch of leadership with everyone. Treat others the way you would have them treat you! Something you learn about leadership along the way; a big ego. You can have a big ego but your attention isn’t on you. What makes a successful leader is the focus for us to find in others. Honor our group and show gratitude.
To thine own self be true. Doing it yourself, realizing that you can, and thinking you can are substantial life events. Life is about learning. They want to know that they can do it, just show them the way.
  • Thanks for a great interview with Mr. Fogg. It was interesting to me that he had to discover network marketing was a people and a relationship business. This is something that I think so many people are forgetting by thinking that it's all about their business and/or product. We really need to focus on how we can help people. As Zig Ziglar says, "if we help enough other people get what they want, we will get what we want."

    Thanks for all the inspiration!
  • caronwashington
Great interview...definitely will have to check out more of his material. I learned that one of the most important things is to empower someone and help them realize the can do it. Secondly...promotion is big and thirdy just go out there and tell the story more times than the avg person.

Also, like the fact that he just sat down and wrote a book after putting his mind to it. I want to write a book as well.
  • fc34615
His book has been added to my wish list.
    Thanks, Eric.
  • tommycone
    #230
Thanks for the interview with Mr Fogg. It makes me want to read his book over again.
  • jeanalbert
You could possibly learn everything you need to learn about how to succeed in network marketing in one Sunday afternoon, but the most important thing that you could have to carry you over into success is belief. That is belief in your business, your company, your products, the industry, and most of all belief in yourself.
  • tomlacey
Each listen brings additional insight from the two of you.
  • raybeattie
This is the easiest comment for me to write. If I had not read John's book "The Greatest Networker" I would have left network marketing. Period.
  • Wanted to share an interesting experience I had several years ago when I was at a restaurant at MGM Grand in Vegas. I sat down at my table and a few moments later, at the table next to me, sits a very successful MLM leader. We started a conversation, and after a few minutes, I asked him what book has had the most impact on his philosophy. His answer was "Atlas Shrugged" without hesitation. I went and immediately purchased a copy and devoured it. I would highly recommend it, especially with the current state of the world we are living in. I was surprised Eric mentioned it. Success leaves clues.
  • clickjt
When I show someone network marketing, I am not trying to get something from someone--Instead I am offering them a way to make their lives better in so many ways. And they in turn will then have a way that they can help other people.
Winners work their butts off. They are determined and professional and have a burning desire to succeed.
    They are great promoters.
And once again, it's all about getting a large group of people to do a few simple things over a long period of time.
Another great interview from both Eric and John
  • JudasPierce
i love the topics and tips that we received from this interview.
  • hpena
Oh Man. I just got a baldy...guess I just have to get lucky now. (hehe).

There was A LOT of great info in this interview. What stood out:

    1. Relationshipping
    2. I have a lot more books to read
    3. Building belief in others so they have their "I can do this" moment.

    Nando
  • julie67
    1) It is about relationships.
    2) You should learn something new each day about this business.
    3) Promotion is KING!

    Thanks Eric and John.
  • Thanks Eric and John for sharing such great wisdom and experience with us all.
You guys really show what leadership is all about.
Here are the 3 things that stood out for me:
    1. Network Marketing IS the relationship based business.
    2. Network Marketing is about telling your story and transferring belief.
    3. Network Marketing is the ultimate school of Life!
    Thanks again.
    Make it a great day!

  • * We are leads in a broadway performance, same lines different audience very night
*Top performers are world class promoters
*Network marketing is a "life school " help your team acheive their defining moment " I CAN do this"
    Great interview ...thank you !!!
  • Eric & John, Thanks for a great interview. There were so many, many things that hit home with me. One above all was an (A Ha) moment. Not being overly fond of people is something I can over come, I have already started on this. The second was hearing Johns definition of a good leader. I know now for sure my sponsor is a very excellent leader. Third, working hard is the only way I will have success in Network Marketing. So I better get to work.
  • BetterCoffee.dk

1: Whatever you think or say - it's YOUR own business. Nobody will do the work for you.
    2: It's all PROMOTION, stupid.
3: Focus on your team. It's not about you, it's about your people if you want to make it big.
  • coltsco
It was loaded with information! I certainly took away more than 3 major things, but if I had to come up with 3 they would be the importance of belief after learning the basics, relationships and the 4 or 5 qualities of a leader
  • maariee
Relationship business, belief and determination and a burning desire... Thank you both Eric and John. Great show!
  • janetrajala
I love the way you two focus on the fact that great leaders have tempered egos. They worry about how they can help their people succeed. Shall we deduct from that, then, that leaders who stress what their people can do for them to help them become bigger earners are just that, leaders, not great leaders?
  • gloriavintila
Not only is the interview a fantastic lesson, but the uncut complete version is also entertaining. The thing that I have been reflecting on since having watched this show is: all leaders have a big ego, but this ego is not focused on themselves, it is focused on their people.
  • ronaldvandomburg
I didn't like people either, but I started last year to learn the art and profession of networking and I like it more and more
  • Bartikelo
Interesting comment that overseas people have bigger desire to succeed, there is even saying, oh he has an immigrant mentality, since I am from the eastern Europa, I think we have higher desire to succeed because we do not have so strong middle class. You have two options, you work hard and probably succeed, or you are poor. In America there is so big middle ground that people trap themselves and get too comfortable. Being comfortable means you are not willing to do much, there is more pain to work hard compare to drive with Honda, earn 50K per year, and jump out off bed every morning at 7am.
  • pollyhulseman
I loved this uncut version of the interview - keep them coming!
  • travelprohawaii
Thanks Eric and John! I have learned a lot and have gained more faith and belief in our industry!
  • peterragg
    1. Work your butt off
    2. Become a world class promter
    3. Giving people their defining moment through your partnership.

    Excellent interveiw Eric

Finding the sizzle for you in the product or opportunity is so true.
Don't have to know how to succeed - we will teach it to you.
We get to take people on our journey.
  • Haha, great interview Eric! I always love the uncut versions at the end of the week.

John, have you come around to liking people yet? Haha.
  • theuns
Erice Thanks for a great week of great info it really help me

Relationship building, working on your belief system and personal development. One of the things I like from every interview is meeting someone, a real leader in the business, whom I have not heard of because I am a newbie. What a great opportunity.
  • Darnell
The 3 major things I've benefited from were:

    1. Networking Marketing is THE Relationship business in direct selling with others.
    2. Belief can be developed into a skill to prosper in a Network Marketing Business.
    3. True dedication & hard working professionals who day in and out repeat the process relentlessly and passionately.

Awesome interview from you both....Thx so much for posting!! Looking 4ward to the next video!!!
  • bethascoli
Wow! The clips were great, but I really enjoyed this interview a lot more when I got to watch the whole thing unedited. John is a really intelligent (and funny) guy, and there were many, many great points, but I will name my three favorites:

    1. The real story in Network Marketing is not how many millionaires we create, but what kind of people we create/become.
    2. The idea of "relationshipping" and how it is what separates us from other forms of marketing.
    3. The analogy of the Broadway actor

And as a runner up, I also like John's perspective that we are experiencing not only a shift in the economy, but a spiritual shift as well.

One last point - I really enjoyed hearing John's comments on the different books much more than just having him rate it on a scale of 1-10 (sorry Eric)

  • Bernadette
Thanks for another great interview! Looking forward to reading the book.
  • dlinkhart
    1. It's hard work but simple.
    2. Tell your story over and over again.
    3. Build relationships.
  • 1. Determination and belief in the system.
    2. Network marketing is a life school.
    3. We have a better way.

Thank you Eric and John. I may really end up becoming a network marketing pro after all.

  • orlyalbo
    Thank you Eric.
    1. This ia business for people who love people. It's about relationship.
    2. Delegation. to tell the story every day.
    3. Life is a microcosmos of MLM.
  • eugenejohnson
Yes Eric u did it again....Great job!
  • talya_mitzafon
THANK YOU ERIC AND JOHN FOR THIS BRILLIANT INTERVIEW.

    1. "EVERY NETWORK MARKETER WANTS MORE AND BETTER IN HIS LIFE. PEOPLE WHO WANTS MORE AND BETTER ARE GREAT PEOPLE TO BE AROUND WITH"
    2. "NETWORK MARKETING COULD BE THE NO. 1 AGENT OF WORLD PEACE"
    3. "YOU CAN LEARN EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO LEARN ABOUT HOW TO DO N.M. IN 1 1/2 HOUR IN A SUNDAY AFTERNOON. AFTER THAT IT ALL COMES OUT IN BELIEF IN YOURSELF"
    4. HOW IMPORTENT IS RELATIONSHIPS IN THIS BUSINESS? - 12 ON A SCALE OF 10 !"
    W O W!!!
    I LOVE NETWORK MARKETING.
IF TALKING ABOUT DEFINING MOMENTS: READING "THE GREATEST NETWORKER IN THE WORLD" WAS MY DEFINING MOMENT THAT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH N.M.
IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO HEAR THE "STORY" BEHIND THE BOOK.

WE HAVE A BETTER WAY. WE CAN CREAT A BETTER WORLD FOR US AND FOR THE COMING GEBERATIONS!!!
    BLESS YOU ALL.
  • teamdavid
    Excellent!
When becoming part of a company, try to find someone who has a team. This way, you are not on your own and you can work together. A helpful and educated upline is very important. My sponsor and upline work very hard putting together training materials and organizing weekly calls. This is incredibly valuable, especially if you are working full time and giving this type of business model a shot. One thing to ask is if you can be on several calls with your sponsor. This has offers 2 important things:
    1) Does your sponsor know what he/she is doing or are they a chicken without a head running around trying to get people signed up
    2) If point 1 is not true, then it gives you the chance to really learn and see/hear how to get customers and reps signed up.

  • andreabyrge
You have to believe in your product and yourself. You must work hard and consistently. You must put your team above yourself.
  • Arnold Thompson
Interesting character but he has a lot of experience and tons of great nuggets of info
  • It starts with your why. Once we have our why we have to have the belief that we can achieve great things. Sometimes we have to be willing to step out of our comfort zone in pursuit of our dreams. The willingness to change and the desire to do whatever is necessary is what makes us great.

  • Hi Darren. I totally agree with you. It all starts with our WHY in order to secure our belief in what we do.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

We really can change the world.
We can make a peaceful world.
We can give freedom to the world.

We, definetly, have a better way.

  • You don't have to know how to be succeed when you start this business - we will teach you. Establish a belief base. It's all the person you become in the process.

Leaders don't talk about their possessions they talk about their people's accomplishments.

    Great interview! Thank you.
  • Steve_Nelson
First thing is that this business is hard...but not so hard that we can't do it. Its just hard enough to where the weak can't do it, but the ones with beleif, a burning desire and a hard work ethic can make it happen with time.

Second thing is you have to be willing to do things you don't want to do sometimes. This is the difference between someone who makes good money and someone who makes a good life for themselves. In other words there is a BIG DIFFERENCE.

Third thing is that you have to have hair!! Just kidding! Sometimes I think it actually takes a shiny bald head to succeed in this profession!

No really though the third thing would be that you have to learn to have fun with everything and be a master with relationship building. There is no one thing that someone can be good at and be a master of this profession, but IF there was, relationship building would be it.

Thanks for pouring your heart into this website Eric!
  • Love the comment from Mark Victor Hansen about how Network Marketing can transform the world to peace. Interesting,
John's take on the books and the books you listed. To me they all have real bearing on this profession.
The Peoples Franchise is another interesting concept. is Great interview, Eric, thank you!
The importance of hard work to grow yourself and your people.
The continued growth by reading, seminars, mentors, coaching and listening is so important to us all.
  • Great interview. Keep them coming Eric.
  • 1. Relationships - speaking and listening. Need to want to like the people and want to help them.
    2. Need for Self-Belief - even if you have a great team and sponsor it's still down to you to take action and bounce back.
    3. Best sponsors are mentor coaches who take you by the heart (build & restore positive belief) & by the hand.
    4. Networking is a journey in self-development and developing others (who you become and what you contribute to others). Helping lots of people achieve their dreams and their fortune becomes the driving factor above self.
    5. MLM is HARD WORK and you need drive, tenacity and persistence to succeed. Daily disciplines, goals, measures, consistency. Dedication.
    6. MLM is one of the most repetetive businesses in the world - tell the story and transfer belief (over & over). Success depends on telling more people than others do and converting more of those people by becoming more skillful at those basic steps - then developing good leadership practices.
    7. Whether you talk to 1 or 1000 people (or the pillows - rehearsal), the performance should be world-class everytime.
    8. People who've got something going on are fun to hang out with. They've got the juice and that's what makes being with them in a people business fun and rewarding.
    9. Intense burning desire - dedication, ambition. Expectation, intention and certainty about succeeding (in spite of doubt) through determination to succeed. Leaders lend followers that certainty because they know what is possible. Connect with the possibilities that mean most to the person and show them how the opportunity can help them achieve their "burning desire". But they need to want and believe it if they are going to work unsupported and become great. Hard times drive people more - club together to get started.
    10. Great leaders have a big ego but their attention is on their people - like a performer. They are great promoters and put on great events/performances to lots of people. And can use these events to train a couple of simple actions that a lot of people can do to drive success. The peoples franchise - everyone succeeds together.
    11. Read good books - learn from others, continue to learn - make daily learning a discipline.
    12. The breakthrough is when you believe that you can do this (MLM) as a professional and succeed in all that you want to achieve for yourself and others.
Finally, it's so important to smile if you want to attract people. John only managed it in the last minute and it transformed his personality as delivered through the screen - hair or no hair you've got to smile.
  • Actually the first <smile> was at 33 seconds— when Eric said I was one of the "important people." I have a "face for radio," bradwright, and I'm very uncomfortable doing this video thing. AND, yeah, smile, smile, smile... you're right.

    Thanks.
    I appreciate you.</smile>

! Network marketing could be the no.1 agent of world peace!!! work hard, be honest, have beliefe, develop skills. Build good relationships and parnerships for your life and business...Help people succeed ...Thank's for a good show
  • Some of my ahas...You must be hard-working. When he stated that no NM leader gets to that position w/o working their butt off. I have definately fallen into the hot one week just coming back from an event, then cold til the next event comes. I found it interesting his perspective on other non-American countries working harder than we do. I was just saying the other day that I wanted to sign-up international people since they do work harder. Also when he spoke of belief and having belief in your product and opportunity. People really can see through you if your belief isn't there. Finally, I liked his comments on NM may some day contribute to world peace. I love the optimism.
  • Three major points for me -
    Belief,
    Relationships,
Doing whatever it takes, hard work and commitment
  • While I find this interview less helpful than some others, I still learned something!
  • carybennett
Good stuff Eric again , loved the way you tried to really give people that how to or what to do to go out and make it happen info, Belief is always huge, going out and instilling that in others to help them Get it.. The Ah ha into them, and again to really become a Promoter. Thanks Eric hope your trip has been amazing.
  • 1. You need hair...or a lot of luck to succeed :-)

Eric, after just a few weeks of listening to these interviews on a consistant basis I have learned so much. Most of these concepts I knew from my readings for the past 20 years but your programs have put them into a context or paradigm shift that I had heretofor not valued. A defining moment? One being the transfer of belief to a new prospect. I had always approached it as a business and let's look at this as a good business but not the, "Flat out truth we have a better way"! Thanks, I will go back and listen to these over again and the first 229 otheres.
  • seija
    Many interesting points:
Life is about learning. Belief is a skill. "Becoming something" process. The number of people whose life you touch on the journey. Burning desire. Hard work. Dedication. Business of promotion. People's franchise. NWM No. 1 creator for world peace.
  • rmonte
    1) work consistently hard. Don't be hot for a week and cold for a month
    2) develop the belief and a burning desire
    3) focus on your people's success and your success will come by default

A lot of wisdom in this interview. Thanks!

I'm starting to dislike weekends..... no NMPro.com
    Looking forward to Mondays!
  • turjcxg
Eric, here are the 3 things I received from this interview:

    1) I really enjoy viewing this in the morning. For me, mornings can be a dark, sad time. So I've been working on changing my perspective about that and watching NMPRO in the morning helps me because I learn PRACTICAL things that I can apply to my business. But it also helps me because I don't feel so alone anymore!

I know that sounds silly but I'm trying to work my network marketing business full time and sometimes it feels like I'm the only person working (in Network Marketing). I know that's not the case obviously but sometimes it feels that way. But when I watch your show and read through the comments, I feel like you're in the room talking to me and when I read the comments I feel the company of the other people watching these shows. I really appreciate having that community that you've created with NMPRO.

    2) THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MY 4 YEARS OF NETWORK MARKETING WHERE I HAVE HEARD that:

"Belief is a SKILL....that can be developed."

I kind of sort of knew this but until I heard you and John say it point blank on this show, I really wasn't sure about this. I struggled with this for a long time because I thought something was wrong with me because my belief wasn't there or wasn't as strong as my upline said it should be.

In my last company, all you ever heard was "you gotta believe, you gotta believe" - over and over and over. But no one in that company ever explained in clear, point blank words like you and John did in this show that "don't worry if you don't believe in yourself, your product, this profession, etc. YOU CAN DEVELOP THIS BELIEF."

I think my former upline did understand this (else how would they have succeeded). But for me personally, just hearing this piece of information spoken out loud, point blank makes a huge difference for me because it validates what I thought I knew (but wasn't really sure about). And it validates that there's nothing wrong with me, I just need to accept and develop that I need to build my skill of BELIEF. (Yes, I'll admit, I'm slow on the uptake so please keep the clear, plainly stated, point blank practical knowledge coming.)

    3) The comments you and John made about determination gives me a GREAT deal of hope. I keep making mistakes in my business but I keep trying and reading and watching to learn and improve so I know that I will succeed hopefully sooner rather than later.

EXTRA QUESTION: Eric, I have a rare opportunity for the next few months to start building my network marketing business FULL TIME. What suggestions from your personal experience can you send my way that will help me maximize this opportunity as much as possible? I'm not trying to be a super star, I just want to know that I am using my time and effort as productively as possible for the next few months (while I have this opportunity) on a full time basis. (And I need money, sooner rather than later.)
  • Ken McRae
    Hey there 'turjie' -

Thanks for your comment(s)! Hope you don't mind if a make a few more book recommendations, in addition to those mentioned by Eric. The first two are by Claude Bristoil:-

    1. TNT: The Power Within You – Claude Bristol
    http://www.amazon.com/TNT-Within-Claude-M-Brist...

    2. The Magic of Believing – Claude Bristol
    A: http://self-improvement-ebooks.com/books/tmob.php
    B: http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Believing-Claude-M-...

Two Quotes from Nido R. Qubein's Foreword to the 1969 FPB edition of 'The Magic of Believing':-

    1. "To learn the systems of success, I sought successful people who gave me keys for getting what I wanted out of life. Time and again, high achievers would recommend that I read the Magic of Believing. I picked up a copy and found myself on a journey of exploration and personal growth." (Foreword, p. vii)

    2. "Get ready to explore, as I have, the potential of your mind power. Prepare to learn from Claude Bristol about the incredible magic of believing. All of us can develop belief, but few of us know how. You can become the unique person that it is in you to become, but only if you resist the urge to conform to the images others hold of you. Only if you are willing to dream ... and believe. The more you believe in yourself, the greater will be your achievements. And that's what the Magic of Believing is all about! Read it because you want to apply the magic of believing in your personal and professional life." (Foreword, p. viii)

The publisher (i.e. Pocket Books) describes N.R. Qubein as "a nationally known speaker, author, and consultant to some of North America's corporate giants, Nido R. Quein is past president of the National Speakers Association nd the recipient of many prestigious awards." (Foreword, p. ix)

A couple more very helpful books on the subject of 'belief' that I'd also recommend are these two:

    3. The Spontaneous Healing of Belief – Gregg Braden
    http://www.amazon.com/Spontaneous-Healing-Belie...

    4. The Biology of Belief – Bruce Lipton
    http://www.amazon.com/Biology-Belief-Unleashing...

The observations and conclusions drawn by these two texts, (about belief,) are applicable to success in all fields of activity, including relationships and network marketing. If I may so bold, though, as to recommend a few more, for whatever they're worth, these following five books can be downloaded for free!!

    Hi Kenmcrae,

Thank you for the book list! I will definitely read these!
  • FrankMarshman
I really liked you finding the "Belief is a skill..." line. I think that is a very important concept to grasp. Thanks
  • Hey Eric.. Any chance for swag to support the website. Shirts, journals, lighters... etc.
  • Episode 21 of Eric Worre's 100 episode Throw Down Challenge:

Quite the interview.. I really enjoyed it. Thank you both for building up this industry in your unique ways. You can really tell that you and John push each other and keep one another on your toes.

    3 Major Things..

    1. Work your butt off- you don't get the lifestyle without it

    2. Build relationships - While BIG EGOS are good, without building relationships it doesn't matter. Don't make it about yourself

    3. this above all else- to thine own self be true- No explanation needed.

  • I like what you said Eric "It's part of the DNA.." It makes it easier to understand network marketing.
Leadership: treat your people as gold. As Family. Respect them, Listen to Them, Treat them as your Closest Friend. I feel that John Milton Fogg is a difficult Interviewee but he's damn intelligent, straight-forward and out-spoken. I don't know if I would like to meet him in person. I'd probably scamper away in fear but I find that this Video is Pure Genius and a "Keeper" for all times.

By the way, I have John's book "The Greatest Networker".....awesome!
  • Nancy
    1. Committment and dedication 2. Relationship built on honesty 3. Belief in yourselft and instill belief
  • 1. We're in the shipbuilding business
    2. Believe you can do it
    3. Work your face off!
  • Dee_Canada
John's messages are those that we have heard before and will hear again because the turth does not change. The truth changes YOU.
1-Success requires hard work which is fueled by a burning desire. (Analogy of the broadway performer, and the reality of the team leader up shaking hands, making calls long after he/she would like to be in bed.)
2-To thine own self be true! Boy those words came on a day that I've been forced to do that...examine how I can be true to myself moving forward. This business willstrip you bare i have been told. The best in this business are builders of PEOPLE. If that is part of your nature...you are in teh right business.
3-Belief...on so many levels it is the cornerstone of success. Belief in a concept...product...leader..and ultimately yourself!! I CAN DO THIS!!

    Thank you John and Eric.
  • Network marketing = world peace. That's actually what I saw when I watched the recruiting DVD from the company I am with. I literally thought it has come from Heaven. :) I am still not sure whether I have what it takes to be successful in this industry. But I truly believe in its value. I wish people were more open to this...
  • You already have what it takes, or you can develop it. Just aim to be the best you can be. People will become more open to it when they see your posture, sense your belief, and are impressed with your professionalism.

Not missing a day on here is a good way to start!

    Mark
  • Yes, here and now I start! :)
  • tyroneholmes
    1.Belief
    2.promote
    3. work hard
  • carolmcwilliams
1.Belief- creating this in the people that you work with, to carry belief for them before they have it for themselves. Believe in yourself. Belief that I can do this. Instill this in self and others.
    2. All about relationships building trust and care more about your teams success than your own
    3. Work really hard, by telling story over and over with passion, consistency and determination.

Fabulous interview. I have watched it 3 times and get something different each time.

  • MarvinTowler
    1. One of the great things we teach is Belief It is your business, It is about you!
    2. You can learn everything you need to learn about how to do network marketing in an hour and a half on a Sunday afternoon
    3. It's about the number of people you take with you on the journey. What you can do for your team. That's a leader.
    4. The leaders work their butts off!
    5. When you make this business about relationships the repetitiveness disappears.
    6. Burning desire
  • 1. You have to develop your ability to be of value to people (NM is a relationship business)
    2. You have to do the job the right way every time under every circumstance (work hard & be a professional)
    3. You have to genuinely want the best for everyone in your organization (inspire & be a mentor)
  • Tarashon Broomes
John Milton said we need more focus on the little stuff that we consistently do all the time, i agree...not everyone can do what others can do
  • dterrell
The three major things I received from the interview are:
    1. Network Marketing is a relationship based business;
    2. I can do this; and
    3. Leaders focus on their people not themselves.
  • The further I get into your 100 day challenge the more I appreciate you and what you are doing for our industry. To be able to sit in and eavesdrop on your conversations is inspiring. I thought my belief in network marketing was strong before. But with each conversation my belief is stronger and I become more proud to be part of this industry - and I do commit to go out and tell 'my world'.

There were so many gold nuggets: not talking to people, but making them part of the story; the quality of people mlm attracts, people who want more and a better life; it's about who you become (I envision watching a butterfly emerge from a cocoon); and maybe we will be the catalyst to help America find its ambition again! There is so much isolation in the world. We can draw people out and participate in each other's lives - not to become dependent on each other, but to enjoy an interdependence with our brothers and sisters. Thanks again Eric. I appreciate you.
  • lynn hall
    1. Commitment and Dedication
    2. Relationships and face to face
    3. Ambition and beleive in yourself.
  • Okay, there is always something to learn from people, whether small or big. Three of the most profound things that anyone must master are:

    1. Be passionate about what do as if you are doing it the first time every time.
    2. Be a good promoter because Network Marketing is about a lot of promotion--products and events
    3. Relationships--still one of the fundamentals
  • denisekay
With a burning desire = Ambition!
build relationships, with a burning desire
fall in like and love with the people, with a burning desire
have belief in yourself, with a burning desire
With a burning desire preform at your highest level. Work your butt off. Be good to your people.
    Use the Golden Rule.
  • Dave S
another great interview. Keep them coming Eric. Thank you.
    1. commitment & dedication to succeed
    2. relationships built on honesty and integrity
    3. franchise for the people
  • Jose Lopez
Oh, wow, thanks so much both of you for sharing this time together with us. It was very inspiring and I did learned a bunch. Above all, I think is one of the most entertaining episodes in NM Pro!

I do have a couple of pages full of notes, but these are three of the nuggets I'll keep.
    1. The People's Franchise
    2. Getting the job done
    3. Take people to "I can do this" - This is, I think, the million dollar tip on this interview
  • georgeman
    awesome
  • latachia_2
    1.Work your face off
    2.Dedication
    3.Burning Dedire/ambitious fued by passion & feeling,character& vision
    4. world class promoters
5.It's thee peoples francise, concictant efforts of others over time
    6.His views on books
7.His best advise"to thine own self be true"
8.Defing moment: When he realized he could write the book "The Greatest Networker In THe World"
9.He learned from all of his meantors& became friends with them as well
    10.Network Marketing is a life school.1
11.If you can make it to the point that your(prospects)& people are saying"I can do this" You will be on the show soon!
  • billrogers
Great Interview! One of the best. Many notable pointers in this one. Definitely will be picking up his book. I really like his analogy about burning desire fueled by belief and passion. One of the most important points I picked up was his segment about The Relationship Business. Never before heard anyone put it this way using relationships, friendships, partnerships and leadership.
    Thanks a bunch!
  • Top 3 things I got from this interview:

    1. I LOVED the analogy of the Broadway show and how their passion for what they do always comes through as if each performance is the first.

    2. Absolutely loved talking about how character and integrity is what network marketing will be noted for rather than the million dollar homes and fancy cars.

    3. I can appreciate how John talks about network marketing being a relationships. Now with social media, we have ways that brand new people can reach out to others, especially new people, and connect.
  • Cee_G
Hi Eric..It was great to see this entire interview after all the short episodes all week. 3 things...the "people's franchise" - yes the "little" people count - just need more recognition. "To thine own self be true.." Thank you John. Love that. And relationships lessen the repetitiveness. Your contributions to others will make you a true leader. Keep it coming Eric!
  • bartonmurray
the fogg is gone and I can see clearly now, all obstacles have slipped away....thx!

3 Major things that I received about this interview were 1) Successful people have big egos and Successful Network Marketers have a deep caring for people 2) All success leaves clues and the clues that are in this interview are many that are shared by all of the leaders that you have interviewed, a)hard work b) persistance c) belief 3) there were a handful of books that were mentioned which I had never heard of and am going to go out and get now. :) thank you Gentlemen! :)
  • brigittapatel
Great interview - just loved it.

Belief in yourself, Company, Product and Industry.
Network marketing as a contribution to world peace….
To be able to get across to people that they can do it…

    Thanks a million.
  • socorro
great interview Eric, hard work, burning desire, passion, believe, Be willing to change thank you.
  • racingworm
3 major things? Determination, persistence, and the simple part of getting a large group of people doing the same thing, duplicating, and consistentcy in all things.
  • onemartymac
This is great, sending this to my entire Group... Thank you
  • anthonyviglietta
    Keeping it "real" as always!
  • Bjorgli
Only 3 major things? Telling stories. Attention on your people. We've got two ears and one mouth. I'm training listening more than I'm talking :=)
The third must be defining moments.
The dessert must be again, I love the phrase: getting a large group of people to do a few simple things over a consistant period of time.
Thanks again for all you are sharing with us.
  • ybimbalanced
This is a great interview, deffinately one to encourge people to watch. I need to sit down again and absorb more of what John has to say. This interview is a "down to earth" view of approaching nwm. I love it. Thanks!
  • Awesome, Relationships - and being the professional showing up.
    Thanks for the week.
  • HoracioMejia
What I got from this interview is this:
    1. Network Marketing is a Relationship based business.
    2. Belief is a skill. You learn it. It is about who you become in the process.
    3. A proffesional gets the job done whether he or she feels like it or not.
    4. Definining moments: Moments when I discover by myself that "I can do this"
    5. I will get John's book.

Thank you for one more opportunity of listening to great achievers in Network Marketing.
  • Mark from Germany
Truely one of the most beautiful conversations I have ever come to see .. sincere integrity guys, I loved it .. (took a page of notes)
  • susanclark
#230 - John Milton Fogg Interview Complete and Uncut - WOW! - There is so much great information here. Just last night another network marketer and I were talking and he started to talk about his big ego. Can't wait to tell him to watch this. A big ego is something that John says a leader has, but he also focuses on his people. Our president and CEO has said for years that we, as network marketers, can help contribute to worldwide peace. As our companies spread all over the planet - Who would take up guns against their own organization? Wow, again.
  • I love watching the whole interviews to keep the conversations in context. I will watch this one again!
  • Awesome interview Eric.......What stood out for me is the " Peoples Franchise" concept. Never thought about that! Also teaching people the little things it takes to be a success in Network Marketing.
  • yuvalcohen
    Hello Eric.
3 things I take from the interview are:
    1. Self-belief - myself.
    2. Relationships - our business is built on human relationships.
    3. Hard work - to tell our story also does not always come to us, to leave the comfort zone. Be master of life.
  • So much nuts and bolts in this interview, big thank you to John and Eric! Hard to pick only 3 things.
    1) This is a relationship based business
    2) To succeed you need to have, or develop a burning desire
    3) MLM leaders may have big ego, but care most for their people

And of course, not to forget; you need to have hair to succeed :-)

    Have a great weekend everybody!

  • Lisette
This uncut interview, I am going to see and listen to many times.
And buy the books which both Eric and John are suggesting.
  • patrickmcfeely
    My 3, Promote Events,Belief,work hard,

Thank you for your time Eric
  • germanjaramillo
Excellent interview. Definitely, the mlm is a relationship business, personal growth, and promote the events and everything in the business.

The other thing that is clear is that whether we have a big team you must work hard and pay the price as in any business.

    Thanks for all contributions.

    From Cali, Colombia,

  • Thank you for reiterating that it's all about relationship building. And I agree, RG does have attitude, with the charisma that get's the point across.
  • Earl
The Three points that jumped out to me this time through...
Focus on the Celebrating of the people that are building and working in your group! Huge!
Personal Development, I like that comment of coming out and become a great person.
Helping people realize that they can do this! whether if it is in a big or small meeting/event.
Thanks again for the lessons and time you share with us!
  • Ken McRae
A wonderful interview that shed much light upon several important keys to the NM business! I had never heard of 'The Greatest Networker in the World' until just about a month and a half ago, at which time I purchased a copy. A few weeks later, I discovered the NMPro website, and a few weeks after that, the author of 'The Greatest Networker' makes a guest appearance on the NMPro Show. Maybe it's just me, but that smacks of destiny!

JM's thoughts on the books mentioned by Eric were very interesting. It was a surprise to hear he was not familiar with 'The Magic of Thinking Big'! I'd have thought that all professional networkers would have read that title, at least once. I was also a little surprised by his comment about Napoleon Hill's 'Think and Grow Rich'. Eric's reference to 'Illusions' and 'Atlas Shrugged' also took me by surprise, as I have never thought about those books as possessing any relevance to business development and personal growth, let alone meriting a place on someone's 'Top Ten' list.

Someone loaned me a copy of 'Illusions' back in 1986, and I just could not get into it, thougnh I did try. It lost me almost from the very get-go. A few years later, in 1992, someone loaned me a copy of 'Atlas Shrugged'. Once again, I just could not get into that either! In both instances I felt obstructed, and so eventually returned the books unread. There must be a reason why they have now come before me again, through this Interview. Perhaps it is time that I give them another chance to communicate their message to me.

Eric, this is one of the best websites I have discovered since being online! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! And thank you immensely for inviting John Milton Fogg to be your featured guest this work! Keep up the great work, bro'!!
  • FrankMarshman
Great comments, one thing I would say to you is the clieche, "When the student is ready the teacher will come." I think the same is true of books as our teachers. Many books I have had trouble reading will become my friends after I have grown a few notches.
  • Ken McRae
Thanks Frank! I appreciate the feedback and insight, for sure! While the saying might be 'cliche', there can be no denying the truth(s) implied or expressed by it, such as the one you`ve graciously pointed out, that in order to succeed at life, (and in all fields of activity, for that matter,) we must become `teachable`or `coachable`; some would say `receptive` to being taught the way or path of success. And that this receptivity attracts to us those teachers who can guide us, both toward and upon it, the Path.

It is interesting to note from this what it implies about success itself, such as that it is something that can be taught and learned by anyone who is receptive or open to it. And, furthermore, that the reason it is a teachable way or path is because it confroms to and is defined by universal laws; which when consciously envoked and consistently applied, without ceasing, will result in the attainment of success, ultimately, or the ultimate success!
  • I'm so thankful for all the valuable information I received everyday of the week. Your efforts will be continued because the notes I take will be read and studied over and over again..... Thanks again my friend and take care, best regards from your biggest fan.
  • jbledsoejr
    "Belief is a skill..."
"Real leaders are talking about the houses/cars of their ppl..."

I look forward to reading his book! Great week...thanks Eric & John!
  • Hi Eric and John! I agree with Paco Carreno, every friend may be a mentor and every mentor may be a friend. It's a great statement. And alson about learning to love people. I have people, my friends, who say that it's too hard, that you can't learn to like people, and I disagree. Look at John, you can learn how to love people. / Linda, Sweden
  • hcapcarp
Great info for someone whose personal choice runs against the grian of network marketing. There are few hermits, yet like Fogg states one can learn to love and operate with other people. Definetly a spiritual journey.
  • Paco_Carreno
I like what he say about every friend maybe a mentor and every mentor can be a friend... we learn from each other. Thank you
  • mrmauriocrawford
    Great video.

My favorite part... the books to get. i gotta run to the bookstore.
  • chipc
I have read and listened to many "how to" books and CD's. John is right - Belief in yourself is a key ingredient. This is where personal development comes in for those of us who need help.
  • It was avery inspiring interview for me. Once again I was reminded that
    - through the hard work we achieve our highest goals,
    - this is speaking and listening business, you have to master both,
    - pay attention to your partners - their growth is your success.
    Thank you.
  • dstfa96
The major things I received from this interview is that to be successful in our profession of network marketing we have to believe in ourselves as well as learn how to get the people in our organization to believe in themselves. Our profession is all about who we become, our professional and personal growth as well as how many lives we are able to touch and take along with us on this journey of professional and personal growth. Top earners work hard, are dedicated, have a burning desire, are determined to succeed and are world class promoters. Top leaders have big Egos but their attention isn't on themselves it's on their people.
  • The interview produced observations in the common themes: Work ethics, work hard, burning desire dedication, do it anyway, driven/determined to succeed, desire fueled by feeling/passion, we all must carry weight, this is about working hard- dedicated consistently repetitive story-telling, and so on.

There were lots of “How?” questions, (How do we get the big group to do a few simple things over a period of time?), (How are we going to do that consistently?) (How to give the people their defining moment?).

If you go back to the start, right out of the block he said: “This is fundamentally all about a people relationship business.” I felt the most significant message came out in both the desire question and the world class promoter topic:

Do a better job at honoring the people, and connect the possibilities with the person.

I agree with the international view>>>desire is the more basic level issue>>>I believe that here are too many options for opportunity in America. >>> I agree with that there are differences in motivations between America/International on humanity/Spiritual levels.

The American focus only becoming the QB/hero is an example. I would suggest that when we only honor the QB/hero, the vision wanes (They can, but, can I do this?) and skepticism increases (self doubt), therefore the attraction to NWM narrows. What gets lost (and is revealed in this interview): focus on the people that are doing the simple, repetitive tasks.

The best follow up to what I feel is the most significant message, is the Tempered Ego topic. JM calls it Servant Leadership. Big leader//big ego//Attending to your people // committed to your people.

As we honor the people, through the partnership, products, training and support…as we are committed to the character and qualities of peoples’ values… “I can do it!” then transfers and their defining moment can happen. The real stories of NWM successes are found there.

  • Great Interview, please Eric could you please tell us once again the Top 10 books needs to be read all networkers, Once again thank you very much for gave us this wonderful opportunity to meet the "Greater Networker' John Milton Fogg, really appreciate., I love you.....
  • Thanks for this Eric.
  • Tina Perdue
This was great for my business.

I liked the idea that all you need to know to do this business is an hour and a half lesson. some times I do feel a bit intimidated by the different methods we are told to use and in what order. I would love to be in on that training!!!!
Next, I see the importance of looking and focusing on the downline and keeping them held up.
Then, to thine ownself be true...great.
  • Connie Tolton
Will be watching that one again. Just wanted to share an interesting definition of Competition:

To do your best, To bring out the best in your opponent, To learn and improve from each other. Try instilling this in young athletes - it makes a huge difference in how they see themselves in the end when they 'win' and when they 'lose'.

Thanks for this positive view of what we do - sometimes it gets hard to continue to stand up and explain that we are professionals and we have integrity. Keep up the great job Eric and John for helping forge ahead and be not only accepted by our peers but to be accountable to each other.

    Connie T

  • Art D lasvegas
The three lessons I got out of this interview with John are: 1. This is a relationship business. One on one, face to face, speak and LISTEN business. 2. You must have belief. Belief in yourproduct and belief in your opportunity and convey all of that belief with "sizzle". 3. Last but not least, personal growth. We become better people, because to succeed, we need to understand what "other" people need and want.
  • quintaser
Good week for NMPro with this interview. I really appreciate when talks about autors, and books and so on. Thats why I came to know Jim Rohn, and this is funny, I am almost sure, that back in the late 80´s I went to a Jim Rohns speach. Thanks Eric and John Milton.
  • The overall experience of meeting John Milton Fogg was conformational to me that I am in the right business at the right time. That all of my training, success, and failures, are now working together to help me build a great team and out distance the norm or have any concern about generating a very nice income that continues to grow. Moreover the organization I have built is generating more than just money. It is developing friends and business associates that have never been part of any traditional organization I have built. Typically I was the boss and they worked for me. Now we are associates and partners in a common goal with equal opportunity to achieve our personal dreams.
In answer to your question here are the three major things I am taking away from this program.
    1. The Network Marketing Business is both a business school and a life school
1.Belief is a skill . There is a promised land and we can get their together
    1. You must work hard
1.Kill the Lizard Brain that allows for fear and scripting of The Crazies
1.Keep your attention on your down line. Support your team with tools, beliefs, training, and your time.
    1. Keep your ego in check at all times
    1. Present your story consistently each time as if it is the most interesting story to your prospect
    1. Be true to yourself
    1.Look for defining moments.
  • bartonmurray

More great nuggets listening a second time. Great sponsors take new associates by the hand and establish "Belief". Leaders are the one who realize the contribution to others and the number of lives they change and take with them along the journey.
  • jlconner
Eric: Thanks for your work to help Network Marketing
  • Great addition to the NMPro shows. Much love and appreciation to Mr. John Milton Fogg for taking the time to share with us all.

You asked for 3 things we received from this interview but a i threw in a couple more that struck my fancy.

    1. You don’t have to know how to succeed when you start… we’ll teach you.

    2. Definition of a professional is someone who gets the job done whether they feel like it or not.

    3. Tell the story and transfer belief. Tell the story and transfer belief. Tell the story and transfer belief. Tell the story and transfer belief. Tell the story and transfer belief. That’s working hard.

    4. Love the analogy of the Broadway play. Same performance with small audience as opening night with standing room only.

    5. People who want “more and better” are fun to hang out with.

    6. Loved the conversation about the U.S. and other countries. Spot on guys!

    7. Network Marketing could be the number one agent for world peace… there’s definitely something in there sir.

Hope all of you have a great weekend, we'll see ya back here on Monday.
  • Good points Matt. See you in SF for that drink... GO COLTS ! 8 days til the Showdown on South Beach
  • Looking fwd to it, I'll take a Crown and Coke.

It seems the media is all about your Colts being the favorite... all the better.

This is the New Orleans Saints year my friend and in 8 more days our boys are going to show up on the world stage. It's going to be great.

    WHO DAT

    Geaux Saints!
  • Hi, I've laughed and cried today at this amazing man who is so open and down to earth. I hope the American people regain their ambition and burning desire. As a European I have learned so much from them this last year. Thanks Milton for pointing out that some other cultures are not as open minded as the Americans and it can be a harder journey for many.

I agree with John's point that that this is not just an economic revolution but a spiritual one.

Mark Victor Hansen made a powerful statement with which I also agree" NM could be the NO1 agent for world peace" - I'd best build a vast network quickly!

His comments about character, values and vision are not always worlds you hear in NM. Maybe more attention should be brought back to these fundamental values.

His best advice: "To Thine Own Self Be True."

Now I know we NMP have a better way.

P.S. Could you leave a list of some of the lesser know books that you mentioned.

  • highimpact0406
Work hard, believe you can do this, and this is a people business! Great points, will watch it again over the weekend to make sure I didn't miss anything! Thanks again!
  • gkamlm
Great series, really appreciate John's frankness, especially his best advice, "This above all, to thine own self be true".

  • Thanks for keeping it real. Great interview.
  • turjcxg
I think the topic of will Americans find their ambition again will be the factor that determines what happens to our country.

    1) I learned the major themes that I need to work on (well, there are other also but I'm going to start with these):

    Work ethic
    Dedication
Burning Desire - ambition, fueled by passion, fueled by feeling, help the prospect find out what it is that's most important to that person
Determination even when you doubt and aren't certain

    2) I thank John for the example of the tea bags. THAT'S determination. It's a good "visual" of what burning desire looks like.

    3) The skill of developing belief in myself is actually skill I need to learn.
  • Bryan_in_KC
Wow...so good. Relationship, belief,"find the sizzle". The themes of work ethic, dedication, burning desire, determination, focusing on your people, find and fan the flame of ambition, collective small efforts to make a big one, and on and on. Great interview! And thanks for the book recommendation, I'll be picking that one up very soon.
  • nancy Eldred
Eric - Where to start - There's so much !!

I want to thank Mr. John M Fogg for being a no nonsense, tell it like it REALLY is Network Marketer. We buy things - join things because of how we FEEL. He's a passionate believer in this business.

#1 - Our audience is always different when telling our story - like the actor on the stage - that's very important for me since I get bored with myself at times when telling my story over and over again. That's extremely motivating for me

#2 - Business of Promotion - ALL contacts Big and Small - it all counts -

#3 - We are in the People Franchise Business - never thought of NM that way before
  • I just listened to the audio version of "The Greatest Networker in the World" a few days a go. I was blown away! Amazing amount of info in a beautiful story - and adds fuel to your 'burning desire'. About what was said about how people in other countries 'work' the opportunities: I never understood why American extended families don't pull together and create incredible teams fast and all support each other.
  • I'm going to listen to this today! It's cool he gives it away free on his site. :)
  • DianaValdez
"You can learn everything you can learn about how to do NM in an hour and a half on a Sunday afternoon". After that it all comes down to believe... Believe is key.

Recognize and reward the people that is commited to their people and their values, a very good one!

    Excellent interview!
  • garyparmenter
What a great interview. It gave so much to think about. Interesting to me is his position that you can learn everything about network marketing in a hour and a half. Then you jump in and learn the skills. Personal growth is paramount and continual. Thanks again!
  • eddyoshaughnessy

    Believe you can do it

The major things received from the interview: I will read his book .... I CAN do this! .... relationships and partnerships - you gotta be able to do this well, it's the foundation .... BELIEF - in yourself and it what we share. It can be developed as you grow personally and professionally ... I know I want to bring many people with us as we grow and learn and develop ... hard work, dedication and consistency is required ... everyone has meetings when no none comes. This is when we persevere ... WE DO HAVE A BETTER WAY!
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
Great to see the uncut version with all the details and nuances otherwise missed.

  • hlj521
This interview was so great! What great information and reminders! I will be watching this one again for sure. This is such a gift you have for helping us find our way in Network Marketing!!! Thank you again for a great interview.
Get good at telling the story, as if we are performers on Broadway.
Bring our A game when we don't feel like it we need to do the work
Transfer belief in others and get them to see their potential!
  • gillym1
Absolutely brilliant! The outcome of watching your daily video is that I am now working harder than before and - I AM GETTING MY BELIEF BACK!! also making many more calls to my people than I have been doing lately and this means I am seeing the results in my business already. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  • chrisdonelson
Falling in love with & connecting with others, the sizzle in yourself NOT the product, personal & professional growth, it takes consistancey of the top 5 qualities.. working butt off, dedication, burning desire, ego on our people not ourselves, being a promoter, Being true to self!
Help give defining moments and shave my head or NOT.....
  • chriskemp817
My 3 Major Things from this interview:
    (1) I must believe I can do this!
    (2) I get my team to believe that they can do this!
    (3) I must work my butt off!
I could go on. Excellent interview. It all goes back to self development.

I really enjoyed this interview. John is an interesting character and he showed a lot of passion in this business. That's what we need to build in network marketing, passion and desire.

  • Will have a look at "A Million Miles In A Thousand Years"
  • ritafulton
Another great interview..sounds like broken record, but true!!

Three things..1) rehearse as a Broadway performer..even if to nothing more than empty room..rehearse all the time2) more attention to people doing the little stuff (people franchise" 3) NWM professionals are in a "life school"..many more.
  • PaulineP
    Many lessons here.....realtionships sticks out
  • Three of the #1's :

Hard work... is a time function on those areas where the work is needed AND produces a result.

Dedication ... set your 'feelings' [a certain kind anyway] aside and do what you must do to be the 'star' of the play. Practice with pillows, stuffed animals and a 2 month old puppy that barks when you are excited.

Determination.... Burning desire .... Passion ... Your WHY... ambition .... your DREAM ... [who does it include] ... oddly this part uses 'feelings' [a certain other kind most likely] as a guide to locate it.

Wrap all that up [add 'ego' and promotions] and "BE Yourself" first, last, always and all ways.

  • juanfernandogutierrez
too many learnings in this interview!
  • + Focus on the needs of the prospect (process versus outcome).
+ Work on myself (personal development).
    + Posture.
  • marvalouslife1
    This interview is pure gold.
51 minutes of real MLM university.

    Ron Ackerman - Israel
  • Successful NM leaders:
    1. Build relationships and teach their team members how to build relationships.
    2. Help their team BELIEVE in themselves, the company, and the product/service.
    3. Work hard to get a large group of people to consistently repeat a few simple things over a long period of time.

People who are attracted to NM have in common that they want more and better in their lives. That makes NM people fun to associate with. Successful NM leaders have burning desire in common.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite government program.
  • Mark Dickson
    1) Relationships-Speaking and listening.
    2) Belief-in yourself, are you ok, just do it. Them put in other. Going though the process.
    3) Work you face off.
I followed John for a long time, thanks for this interview
  • danaylesworth

Great to see the uncut version :)
  • That relationship is THAT important, and that is so true. If you don't build relations, you don't have the Glue that keep your organization together.
And BELIEVE! You have to believe that you can do it, and you must be able to make your organization believe too!
Get the JOB done! You don't have to like it all the time, but you have to do it, IF you would like to have the result! Of course you have to love the company and the products, but you don't always love the work you have to do,,,,,
  • Really great interview here ..... looking forward to the next one :)

3)Events promotion is a BIG KEY to MLM success in general. I HAVE, signed up to EW's Promoting webinar event on the 3rd.
