  • Jonathan
I'm not there yet but a major blast is forecast on the horizon. :)
  • aliceflanders
Well, I talked to two this very hot day.
  • heatherbrocklehurst
I need a boost in my momentum. I'm going to try this. Great advise!
  • wealthandriches
Just like the space shuttle hu? A major blast to get into orbit and then just regular power to maintain...hmmmm Thanks!!
  • YES...I am ready....I am in desperate need a a MAJOR BLAST!!! Thanks Eric
  • 2nd homesick ;-(
Done major blasts in the past customerwise but it's time to do it teamwise. Yes, I will do another one!!!!
  • Dylan Cooper
A great way to relaunch when you are feeling stagnated. Thanks.
  • yitz613
Let's all launch or relaunch our business and commit to a Major Blast NOW...
  • You make it sound so easy man, love it...
  • I have someone in my upline who puts 10 beans in his pocket when he leaves in the morning. Each time he speaks to someone about the business he removes one bean. He will not go home until all 10 beans are gone....
  • Great!!! Thanks...
  • meagankellytorres
Love this. Build momentum with alot of activity in a condensed period of time and maintain with two a day. One question, when you are doing your major blast, is it like a sorting process and not so much building relationships. This is one of the hardest concepts I struggle with, relationship building vs. sorting. I know that in both processes there is a mixture of both, but during major blasts, do you just talk to any and every body to find people who are looking for an opportunity, still being respectful and non-invasive, or is it still the make contact, get contact info and follow up at the apporpriate time. Because if time is of the essence, you dont really have the luxury of spaced out exposures. Please help me with this issue.
  • Calvin Boutilier
Major Blast!!!! Here we go! Nice view!
  • susanjohannesson
Major blast - so it is that important? Ok, I will really start tomorrow, no matter how hard it will be...!
  • BobbyRay
Major Blast = Massive action!! Mega results. Thanks for putting up real numbers. Talk to 200 get 20 a percentage works from that.
  • Elaine Baril
Good advice! It's on the top of my list of things to do.
  • ViktoriaGuerin
    Powerful message as always
  • jlt0wn
he has the ability to break down concepts/actions so they're easy to understand & incorporate.
  • chiatkhor
Major blast. It is a new concept for me. I never heard it before until I watch this clip. This clicks me a lot. I will apply it with 2-a-day. Thank you.
  • Damijan81
Thanks for the reminder on what a major blast means!
  • luigijr
wow incredible concept major blast to get you running, massive action means massive results every time you want. its something simple to apply
  • This message brings clarity to an issue that often comes with conflicting advice. I've heard some people say make 30-100 calls a day, and others recommend 2 a day. This makes perfect sense; a blast to build momentum and then a steady 2 a day. Thanks!
  • Lotta
    Här ska jag kopiera.
  • mspaulamc
Creating the BIG MO ... yes, I agree this is how you do it :)
  • 1. 2 a day.
    2. Major Blast

So now my goal is to do at least once a month major blast at the beginning of every month and then 2 a day to sustain that level.

    Thank you Eric.
  • A very powerful idea !
  • crwood1967
WOW, how right on track are you. Many of us still forget that we have to tell other people about our opportunity. How else can we get others under us! Back to getting focused.
  • Vonnita2010
My first major Blast was actually part of my training... I feel I wasn't emotionally, phisically or spiritually prepared for it, so even though it was a major blast, it wasn't really that major, I had too many fears, still learning about the whole network marketing concept, my first time.. actually... so I feel it was not the right moment... but I am ready for my next MAJOR BLAST and yes... then I will maintain, then another MB and maintain and so on and so fort!! thanks for the clarification Eric, it is conforting to know it is not about one MB, but many!!
  • classy70sgirl
Thanks for the reminder about the Major Blast Eric.
I'm about to relaunch my business doing this.
    Great views of the Harbour!
    Classy70sgirl
  • CarlosVera
Good advice. I'll get my hands on getting it done........
  • John Spardella
Ok, major blast, cool concept and ironically very timely for me to hear. I'm right at the point in my business where this will be very helpful info. Thanks Eric~
  • steve_weaver1
    The secret is work.
  • pech
Major Blast is a good advice.
  • CINDYSU
Major Blast will ROCK my February 2010! Thanks! I love you too!!!!
  • How many years I've been in this business and I have never heard of that "major blast" ...all about the slow way to get rich...and treating people with dignity and respect.."sharing "not selling" ll of t hat...and yet the major blast concept is perfect for those of us who want to build faster and have way more speed in our business...business loves speed..in fact thrives on speed...why is it disrespectful to do a major blast..?
I'll keep you in the loop as I do it for the first time!
  • AviPeer
Major Blast is what they do in an Advertising campain
  • ronaldvandomburg
what if I've 'spoiled' my first list of 100 people so now I've got the feeling that I can't do another major blast at this moment?
  • Hi Ronald....I believe you can't spoil your first 100...I know I've gone back to mine ..and apologized for my "raw enthusiasm" and lack of knowledge or whatever....and people understand..especially if I am authentic about it and make a joke out of it! People don't want to be pressured...or pushed...so the next time I use words like "explore"this venture...or partner or co-create and collaborate...I just don't use a script! Hope this helps you! Hey I just brought my best friend on board who is going to open up Australia and New Zealand for me...and she was MEAN to me....BEFORE!!!!! Now is a full partner and we giggle at her previous resistance! It is part of her own story!
  • Great background location and the wind was OK. As ever excellent info.
  • conniegleave
MAJOR BLAST? I like doing major blasts but I also find that if I do too many in a day I start sounding like a broken record. I now 'stand-up' when making my calls - it really does help so I don't start sounding too repetitive. Each call needs to sound like it's the first one of the day and is just for them!!
  • jerryscribner
    Excellent
  • Gustavo Muñoz - Colombia
It is really important this concept the major blast and then two a day..... It was neccesary to made tuhis clarification
  • AdvocareJax
This is so true. I have had a major blast 3 different times in my business. The 1st time I advanced 1 leadership level. The 2nd and 3rd time I advanced 2 leadership levels. It truly works and I have seen this duplicated in my team as well.
  • Donna Wheaton
    Eric

I love the idea of the BLAST! thanks
  • susanclark
#231 - Recruiting More People Faster - Redoing this as not sure it was posted earlier. I agree I need to do a major blast. I need to build a quick momentum and then maintain it by talking to 2 people every day. The major blast will help me rebuild my business.
  • garyparmenter
Quick, more people fast. Very inspiring, time to get out there and get it done.
  • I find myself being dishonest when I try to sell one of our levels to someone who isn't going to use it. If it only behooves my best interest, then I don't want people spending extra money. Maybe I am too honest?
  • The difference between someone making a world class income in network marketing and someone who isn't is the number of people they have talked to about their business. Many people have talked about 'priming the pump' or filling the sales funnel to build momentum and get your business going. The major blast is a great way to do just that. By compressing the time frame, you will see results that much quicker. Once you have plenty of people in your system, maintaining your momentum by talking with a minimum of two people a day makes sense.
  • Great message Eric - "2 a day brings freedom my way" and a blast gets the momentum going.
  • This was a very good one... I like the concept of doing a major blast. If you are building your business online there are also many different softwares online that can assist you in sending out a major blast! P.S. I couldn't see this video... it may have been my computer... I heard it fine so that was good enough
  • robbinsaturniewicz
OK I'll start looking for opportunities with larger groups of people.
    Nice background shot
  • Shovers
Major blast sounds like just what I need to do. I hope I can.
  • jean_albert
"Major Blast" sounds like a great re-launch activity to kick-off the new year. Thanks,
  • Marion Bernard
Major Blust ist the start and of course a restart.
  • gkamlm
New one for me, makes a lot of sense to "Major Blast".
  • Susan Peluso
"Major Blasts"are very import for momentum.I just need to find more people so I can do a major blast!
  • Susan Peluso
"Major Blasts" are very important for momentum. My problem is just finding enough people so I can do a major blast!
  • Nelleke
Great advice. Important to know it is done by so many pro's. So worthwhile to do. Thanks!
  • chriskemp817
The "Major Blast" concept is not new. One of your past guests, Mark Yarnell, talks about contacting 30 people a day/5 days a week for financial freedom in 1 year. It is nothing but numbers, numbers, numbers!
  • Eric you are on to something big here by putting together the difference between pro and non pro networkmarketing. I think the industry need more people like you to think industry wide like you are. I am a huge fan and I will tell the world and my teams to think Pro as well and make this industry respected. now about the content, this is the fundamentals and I think that we always need to do the fundamentals and you did a great job of getting that point accross. I Agree 100 % with the major blast and then maintain with 2 per day. because it does great momentum and it also brings in longevity to the the rep and reduces attrition rate. less burn out and more people getting a check. And it fits almost every type of comp plan. I have a question can you do a peice on comp plans and how each on is designed to get a certain action out of the rep? I think people should know what kind of plan they are in because it lends to the fact of where they should be placeing there time. For example if they have a plan the is made for speed then they need to go fast. if the have a plan that is designed for building leadership then they need to build leadership, if they have a plan that is designed for product consumption and volume.. well you get my point.
  • randyhendrickson
I believe you when you tell me you have done all this. Maybe I am using this as an excuse, I can't find the time to do a major blast.
  • King T
define what you think a major blast consist of in time? and if you can not find the time make that the reason that you make the time. And if you can not make the time leverage someone on your team to help you with it. partner with a person that has the time and share success.
  • Inger
Mayor blast it is... Let's go!
  • nikomachi
    Thanks for the advice .....
  • Agneta Rebo
I´m really going to try that
  • travelprohawaii
    Thanks I'll do it!
  • gjt
    good advice
  • gjt
looks like a good time look forward to be there
  • rhhooker
I am going to implement this through the team..THANKS
  • Great message Eric! I love the "Major Blast" idea! THANKS!
  • GeorgeK
Great info as alway Eric! Learned alot from you in the TPN days!

    George
  • GeorgeK
    Great video Eric!

You're the BEST even in the TPN days!
  • Edith Kohler
Great advise .I've heard so before,Tim and Julie are also very clear about Major Blasts and Microbursts
But as with all important things in the business, when you hear it over and over again, you don't have to just remember it.But you will know it.
  • The numbers always work out to 1 in 10. Why do we make it harder than that?
  • This is awesome - I've been thinking about this exact concept lately because I've noticed what the top people are doing and the one thing they have in common is they get crazy busy for like a month or so and that gets the ball rolling for them.
    Beautiful location shoot, Eric.
  • wconsult
I believe this type of effort is necessary to become a President's Club member.
  • emmettb
Take lots of effort, condense, and get the burst. Simple but effective.
  • Ngoc Tran
So amazing! Two a day and a Major blast! So many Major blasts are now on my mind and I am writing them down :)
  • Luis Gringras
You know Eric, always sorprise me, making major blast once a year, make me feel that even the super stars do the same a the one who just start this profesionl. When I meet a prospect always want to show the business a soon a possible, instead of wait and get togheter a big group.
  • hpena
Great advice. This Major Blast is something that is encouraged with certain compensation plans. When ever you hit the next promotion level, time for a Major Blast. Whenever you hit a brick wall in your organization, time for another Major Blast. I once heard a statistic (I can't remember from whom) that only about 50 people out of a room of 1000 people (during a NMW training event) had actually showed the plan to 200+ from their own personal lists. Of those 50 over half were making $500,000 to $1+ Million a year. That Major Blast can make a huge difference.

    Nando
  • keithmurfet
Major Blast = Momentum = Growth. Great formula Eric.
  • Jessi
Ok, major blast - I will try collect my strenght and make an effort. I believe it works!!
  • keithnc67
This is great stuff Eric - the best free training out there...
  • carolmcwilliams
I understand how effective a major blast can be but I have several questions. How does one create such a large network of people to be able to contact in a short period of time? I would love for you to expand on lead generation in more depth as I see this is the fundamental challenge that most of us have in the industry, not enough people we are connecting with on a daily basis, let alone to create the numbers for a blast.

    Looking forward to it.
  • Robertdiggsjr
    Major blast!
  • quincy
Im ready to relaunch my business with a major blast. But I've never heard it explained that way before.
  • net22
Thank you for sharing...major blast...makes sense. I am on my way to success thanks to you.
  • Cee_G
Hi Eric...Yes it is time for me to re-launch...so thank you for the major blast info. Very helpful.
  • In response to show #231.
If I had listened in the beginning and did the major blast thing, I would have saved a LOT of time and money.

    Lesson: Just Do It!
  • Major Blast! Way to go.
  • rasdaniels
Thanks for explaining what a Major Blast really is.
  • shawncyr
What if my goal is to find 4-6 people that I can then work with finding 4-6? I'm all for the major blast and getting things going, and realize that the law of averages means that I will need to talk to a lot of people to get them, but if I get too many, at this point I don't have the time to commit to helping each of them.
The way I see it, if my 4 hold a meeting each week, I will need to commit 1 to 1 1/2 hours each. Not bad, but when they have 4 each, I am going to be committing 4 times that. When I get there, I will begin the bigger group meetings each month, or twice a month. Once my team has a grasp, and theirs, I would then look to find a couple more per month. I just want to make sure everyone gets the assistance they need.
    Any thoughts?
  • susanclark
#231 - Recruit More People Faster - I am ready now to do a Major Blast to rebuild my business.
  • Major Blast = helps you go wide; 2 a Day = maintains width while developing your depth!

    Thanks Eric =)
  • It is time for my launch with a major blast. Thanks for the clarification on the sponsoring of 20 in your first month and how that was done.
  • nikigombis
I need more info on the how.
  • SJ Doug
Major Blast Eric, I hear you!
  • Jay VanNostrand
great back drop for your post...beautiful! Another great post! Sounds very 'Rohn-ian'
  • feltricks
That's a key concept to start your business.
I've heard from so many people that this business is easier if we do it faster than slower.
I'm preparing to start another major blast.
    Thanks a lot.
  • Major Blast good concept...gets you off the ground running, two a day keeps you in place and the cycle starts over depending on my individual goals !
  • In this major blast is this people you know or strangers
how would I find that many strangers in a weekend or even a week
my wife and I are going on a cruise next week and I am going to bring some cd's with me and practice on the ship maybe that will give me the boost in confidence I've been waiting for
  • drkay
There are many who are desperate to learn and few taking the time to train. I guess we must continue working, failing, trying again until we learn how to bring in the masses.
  • Carlos Perez
Major Blast is the secret to start your business the right way, them 2 person a day to maintaint it.
  • germarl
More great advice from Jim Rohn...
  • Major blast creates quick momentum-2 a day maintains-ready for our next 'blast' !
  • agelfederico
Not ready yet, but will do it very soon.
  • kayanita
Wow! Just sent this to all our team! Looks like great fun in australia
  • Daniel W. Cook III
    #21
It's definitely all about the major blast that gets the ball rolling... And it seems like EVERY successful MLMer says the same thing... "we sponsored x amount of people in our first month and ran from there".
  • daddykekere
Your title says it all- Recruit more people FASTER.Thanks
  • One of my favorite words is Blast!
  • denagottlieb
Time for another major blast over here....
Love that view from the boat! G'day, Mate!
  • kgadol
Good stuff ... right in line with what we do and teach our teams.
  • kristibateman
    Hi Eric
    Wow, beautiful there.
  • hillin
startin fast is better the slow.
  • Pete
I'm glad you covered the major blast concept. I've told my new IMD's about 2 a day's but wasn't certain how to convey the initial push for momentum
  • raybeattie
Great concept on how to work our businesses. Thanks Eric.
  • juanfernandogutierrez
The key is to make a looong list of candidates, do not leave anybody out and call!!
  • bryantkeefe
Massive action or "Major Blast" is key. I see it in my other business. The loan officers that are succeeding right now are at full tilt. They will make $150K+ this year the others with make $50K-. Big difference. Good Day Charlie.
  • I'm stuck in the what ifs of taking the step to start it all over again. I regained trust in the product line and what I offer, but I'm reluctant to face it allover again.
This is the truth. The trust in the profession is not here completely, although I'm having glimpses how much a better way it is.
    Better today than was yesterday.

    NOTES:

Taking as much activity as I possibly can and condense it in a short period of time.
The Major Blast concept is critical to create momentum and enthusiasm.
Major Blast and then 2 a day, major blast and then 2 a day.
How did I sponsor 20 in my first month? Talked to 200 in that month.
  • Paco_Carreno
Hi, I definitely want to know what did you did when you wanted to make a Major Blast once you had ran out your list! Because I've learnt the lessons from burning my list incorrectly. So I'm building new relationships but it seems it will take me a while until a have 80 or 100 new names to contact in a short period of time... So I don't know how a major blast can be done once you've already finished your first 2 list for example... Thank you!
  • tomlacey
A very intersting piece of insight into building and maintaining a business.
  • Good advice. It's amazing how we think that we will be more 'comfortable' contacting our people over a period of time instead of as quick as possible. This is the equivalent of taking a plaster (band aid) off slowly.
  • annenz
2 a day for maintenance after a major blast, great view.
  • Darnell
Awesome view and message. It's really not as difficult as it may appear to do a major blast once a year versus all the time so long as one executes and follow thru on the numbers. The 2-a-day theory makes clearer sense when combined with the major blast now. Thanks so much and we love you back too and happy you're enjoying your time in Sydney!! Looking 4ward to the next video!!
  • JudasPierce
every trainer that i have had the blessing to talk with, have explained to me that "its all within the Numbers"...so if you want to become a Network Marketing Pro....keep watching this series....it is a fact, that we have a better way, now lets go tell the world...until the next comment, have a nice day.
  • Time Compression like this can make everyone else look like they are standing still. Very good.
  • Bea Resnick
To be honest, the best part of this video is that you've taken us with you to Sydney. We can see the opera house, hear the gentle wind and even feel the boat rocking. How cool is that?! Thanks!
  • Irina
Major blast and then 2 a day! I like this!
  • david_high
Major Blast! I need to do this again.
  • seija
Major blast it is to relaunch the business.
  • Yeah I took the major blast in december when I did the President club . In 27 days I regsitred 10 people and overall I registred 16 people in 45 days that really jumoed in the rank advancement. We do have a extended promotion on go cruise in the Mediterraine by enroll 12 excecutives during the period of november 1 until february 28 . I do have only nine to go and 27 days which means that I need to registrer 15 people and talk to fifteen people a day.
The result of that will be a jump to director which qualifies for ILS in Florida end of april. Go go go.
  • aliceclifford
Hi Eric I had to watch #231 --2 times the first time for the view[ tour boats, white caps on the water,BIG sail boat moveing in fast behind you.Trains going both ways on the bridge] you must be haveing a good time. The second time was to here what you had to say.I am ready for the "Major Blast" Thanks agan Eric. A.C.
  • aliceclifford
Erick I get lost when we skip the weekend i had to go back and watch all the videos with you and Mr. Fogg even the uncut video. I must say I injoyed as much as the first time. The old saying is true. You should learn something new every day and with you I do. thank you so much. A.C.
  • dterrell
I am ready to have a major blast to launch my business. Thanks for the great information as always.
  • Love the location video. The major blast is absolutely what is necessary to kick start your organization in the beginning or to add momentum.

Wish you could have brought some of that Aussie warmth back to Minnesota for us!
  • YES! I am READY for a major blast!!! Perfect timing!!
  • martinvf
We need to be prepared to do our Major Blasts.
Be prepared with your list of 200 people to invite, make the 200 calls (really make them, it's worth the money you spend in all those calls), schedule your meetings to accomodate the 200 people, be prepared with samples of your product or the service you are marketing, get help from uplines to handle such amount of people, be prepared with registration forms, be prepared with information for your people, be prepared for the follow up... and the most important thing BE PREPARED FOR SUCCESS.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.

    Martín V.
  • Dave S
Great concept. Time to make a list. Hope you will expand on the concept.
  • Arnold Thompson
    Massive actions bring massive results.
  • Eric,
Major Blast! I'm just getting ready to fire it up and was thinking of how long I should go on. How do you handle 20 new people at once? I'm not sure I can handle five at once. Let's hear some training on this area sometime soon. I'm not going to wait for your answer. Phones in my hand and away we go!
  • Connie Tolton
Like the idea and will do it to a new group I just joined that is completely out of my 'business'. Can't wait to see the outcome. I will keep you all posted.

    Connie T
  • jennyc
Just have to make the time for it.
  • krisic
    ok, major blast it is!
  • rosslopez
I like the idea of having a Major Blast to launch or re-launch our business.
I think it's not an easy task to do but that will take us to the next level as you commented Eric.
We also need to think in helping to our downlines to do the same, so they can see the exponential
grow and we will generate a lot of activity so people around us will see us motivated, passioned and
may decide to join us. This is amazing =o)

Thanks for all these tips Eric
    Hugs from Mexico
    Rossana :P
  • HoracioMejia
I need to relaunch my business. I agree that a Major Blast is the way to fly high. It will be my number one concern in the next few days. First, I need to prepare for it. It is better to start fast than to start slow. The latter takes much more energy. A major blast is a very big challenge for me, however, in order to achieve different goals you need to do different things. Thank you for the reminder. Are you planning to come to Mexico some day?
  • Eileen
I am more committed than I ever was, even after almost a year of not really getting anywhere!
  • socorro
thank you Erick , working on it, love the view
  • tambry
Condense enough activity in a short period of time to create momentum and success in your business. Top leaders say it is easier to build fast than slow so might as well build fast.
  • Padraic McC
If you were to do it over again and you were able to call 300 people what would you want to say so you were investing your time wisely? How do you get around the small talk or catch up talk?
  • Major Blast, i like this concept and i will do it............
  • FrankMarshman
    Like it.
  • lynn hall
Major blast for a change to move fast or to to relaunch your business.
  • karivankleef
Massive action is a short period of time. This is what I am working on currently.
  • karenandian
Major Blast - at least once per year! Thank you for the push! We love the view!!
  • Major Blast and then 2 a day....ok, ok, ok!
  • turjcxg
I'm going to ask this question because the suspense is killing me.

Eric, HOW did you keep track of all of this activity so that you processed each name/phone number on a timely basis without losing all of these names/phone numbers?

PLEASE give us some tips on how you did this. I know from a previous show you told us to go out buy a journal for our prospect list. Did that and am using that tool, working well.

Did you just use that prospect list journal and a planner and that's it?
  • ericworre
Just the journal, a planner and a legal pad
  • racingworm
Eric, the Major Blast is also a great way to make a new person realize that they too can do this . I know I always try and make things too hard, and all in all we have everything in place if you just follow directions. I'm learning that fact with a lot of stubborness on my part. If you just follow what your leaders are doing, people that have already done it, than gosh what more guidence do you need. Duplication, duplication, duplication. It's all right there in front of us.
  • Hai
Got that! Major blast! I think I am also a little sea-sick on the water..hahah. Best to Sidney from the US
  • NexusResources
hehehe typical response from the Aussie taxi driver ... howyagoin' !!!!!!
  • Pepeneto
The major blast is not only in the beginning...it is a cycle of major blast, mantein, major blast, mantein...I got it...thank you eric...when are you coming to Mexico?

Eric, you're timing is impeccable! Just getting ready to relaunch with a major blast within the next week!

Please say you did a show in your scuba gear ;-)
  • Major blast starting right now. Thanks for the push
  • Major blast, starting right now.....

There is an old saying, "you can't say the wrong thing to the right person, and, you can't say the right thing to the wrong person." Jim Rohn said "what you lack in skills you can make up for with activity." If your company offered the following what would you do? Talk to 100 people this month, meaning show them your plan or a tool, and in 12 months we will pay you $10,000 per month. If that were the case I have 3 questions: 1. who would you talk too? (everyone) 2. what would you say? (it wouldn't matter) 3. what would you say to those who weren't interested? (NEXT) LOVE the Major Blast concept!!
  • Love this, this puts in a very attractive perspective!! Thanks!
  • JenniferDu79
I love it! How serendipitous that this came out today when our company just put in place a platform for us to each perform a major blast and get rewarded fro it. I am going to follow and definitely forward this out to everyone on our team.
  • I think I'm getting sea sick! Love the major blast concept - thanks!
  • germarl
A great reminder of the basics- and taking massive action
  • Lisette
    Hi Eric!
This "major blast", is certainly something I´m going to try.
  • Major blast to start Groundhog day!
  • Connie Tolton
Great Idea Lori - A Ground Hog Day Blast. Love it. Thanks for the idea.

    Connie Tolton
  • Wow. Appropriate message for the start of the month - major blast! Thanks
  • Thanks Eric, This could make a fun exercise and contest for the team.
  • ritafulton
    Good Day, Eric!

I need to rejuvenate with a Major Blast..looking forward to this Wednesday webinar event!!

Thanks for sharing your water taxi ride.
  • liora
Major Blast is a booster in our business. We always can use it.
  • Good thing about Major Blast is to do it in teams and let the energy spread around. Success breeds success. I have a buddy system and we help each other.
Quesiton, have you found any timimg patterns more successful (time of day, day of week/weekend, early in month, etc) than others?
  • jerryscribner
Steve, I like the idea of a "buddy" system, thanks, Jerry
  • Two thoughts... 1) I have yet to do this 2) I really really need to - Thanks Eric
  • orlyalbo
This is the big secret - The Major blast! I did not start yet.
  • nickgarrison
I was confused. But now I am recharged. I understand blasting my way to the top. However, in some cases to get someone started who is not use to making a lot of calls. Suggesting they do just two a day may help them build the confidence and then be able to do a phone call blast
  • bethascoli
They should be able to do more than 2 a day in the very beginning because that's when they're most excited, so it's natural. Even if their not used to making a lot of calls at their job, all they're doing is sharing information with their family and friends about something new that they're doing, so the longer they wait to show them, the harder it gets. I like to use the analogy of having a baby - if you just had a baby, you would tell everyone you know right away because it's exciting news, you wouldn't wait until the kid is 3 months old to start telling people because then it's awkward. I've always thought it's easier for people if they get off to a fast start - I train people to show it to at least 15 people in their first 48 hours.
  • gloriavintila
Fantastic revelation! I must admit, I have always thought in terms of 2 a day. It felt like doing a homework, if I called 2, I'm good, I did my task. Well, that cannot grow my business to the size I want it to grow. Major blast is key to achieving the great results that the newtowrk marketing profession offers.
  • lorijones
Sydney Australia is beautiful, thanks for sharing the amazing view from the boat you were on. We were there several years ago and loved it. Major Blast, I needed this!

Great concept. I've heard from some earners that the best way to build this biz is to build fast and they have incorporated something similar to build a foundation and jumpstart momentum then used consistent action to maintain and build upon. Thanks for sharing Eric!
  • lauralopez
Hi Eric definitely this is other clue to make the major blast in a short period of time.
    I can grow faster

  • Hi Eric... I loved this short, insightful vlog. I think you hit the nail on the head with the major blast.. This is a simple idea that I think is managable. Keep up the good work!.

P.s Just a comment as a fan... I think you ending punch line/slogan is awesome... but I liked it better when you didn't use stone cold fact... It just seemed more natural and easier to remember when you used..." IT IS A FACT!!!!.......That we have a BETTER WAY! (it was more vaynerchuckish the old way!!)

Sorry.. hopefully you appreciate the feedback.. All the best!
  • Bjorgli
    bradwright, to your comment.
Thanks for commenting. That means you've been reading what I wrote.
I guess I felt a bit overwhelming. 90 in three days and 200 in a short period of time. But looking back, I see that a "Major Blast", do'nt have to be that big. Only bigger than 2 a day.???
  • kamalharris
The Major Blast is the way to get out the gate fast. I've heard several leaders talk about their launch or Major Blast which set the stage for them to grow their organization into some stratospheric numbers (and their money too)
  • Bryan_in_KC
A major blast that is duplicable definitely would be a huge momentum builder for an organization.
  • I love it! I am ready to make a major blast!
  • John Boyd
    Simple but so simple!
  • I agree momentum is absolutely key to creating that first 90 days story which then helps create belief in those that follow. My opportunity is new and pre-launch so I am still waiting for the 3rd party tools to arrive in the hope that they will help me to convert more people and allow me to leverage my time.

I like the strategy that @BestsellerBob (Robert G Allen) discusses in one of his information products - sending 25 first look type DVD/CDs to your hottest potential prospects in your hot/warm market then giving out one or 2 a day of another 25 to people that you meet and connect with as you go about your business (2 a day idea).

Whilst we must ensure we allow time to follow up and must have a "something to invite them to" next stage prepared (home meeting or similar and of course some product!) this approach combines the blitz with a way of overcoming the fear some may have about prospecting with strangers.

2 weeks to our meeting in SF Eric - Looking forward to it!

I think it's also important to practice a succint dialogue like you have shown us in previous shows to "put some value" on the DVD/CD and/or business card before giving it to the prospect in exchange for an agreed follow up time to call.
  • Miguel Cortez
Major Blast..... Thanks for the tip....
  • PaulineP
Underlying every message here is a commitment to action. We have heard that message 2/day....and every NO is a practise step towards a YES. Would you hire yourself?
  • timandtricia
Getting into massive action quickly is the object of the exercise. However, a major blast can back fire for new distributors if they're not trained and prepared. A brand new distributor can burn through their list pretty fast with the wrong approach.
  • smreed
A major blast will take some serious preparation with time for major training along the way.
I would think it would be wise to make sure the timing is right for laser focus during this run so
you can maximize your effort/time and minimize your stress levels.
  • I don't think you are wrong in saying that serious prep will help and I agree that with some people - especially close friends and colleagues we might only get one chance so it's best not to squander that initially when we are learning the business. I am waiting for the new 3rd party tools to educate myself and give myself the best chances of success - but of course in the back of my mind I am hearing that action makes its own success - so I am continuing to do a little here and there meanwhile. I do like the idea of a focused push though.
  • smreed
Hi Brad, thanks for your comments ;)
There is a great article by Randy Gage in his training called: "Locating and Recruiting the Best Prospects"
you can get it by signing up for his free 6 week training e-course. I recommend it and you will get some really good scripts you can use for introducing to your warm market when you are starting out. They are really good and I wish I had them when I started out. And if your warm market says No, don't worry, honestly it is just a no for right now as it is not the right time for them in their life right now. Just hold strong to your belief in what you are doing and work with the people that are ready now. I'm finding that when you have the passion and are excited about what you are doing those close to you will eventually want to know more about it and want to join you sooner or later if they truly want more out of life for themselves. Have a nice night!

Major blast! Great concept to build momentum. Beatiful background. Thanks for sharing the dream.
  • makes sense to do a big push to get the ball rolling...great video!
  • Jose Lopez
Such a simple concept, and yet so powerful! It's the best way I know to create momentum, which is essential to the business.
  • clairecameron
Great message and great setting. Reminds me how much I want to get back to Australia! That little ferry boat that passed behind you was my "commute" to work when I spent a month in Sydney in my corporate life back in 1989! Did get down there again in 2001 for vacation but so want to go back! What an incredible city and country.
  • Bjorgli
I guess I'm in another reality, but I do understand the meaning. And thanks for the refreshening input from Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I have'nt been there since 1973.
  • Hey Bjorgli - what do you mean by "in another reality"? Do you feel that a blast is not something you can do? Why is that?
  • Major Blast's every 90 days will keep your group growing, especially when they are doing the same thing. Tell us more Eric, about the specifics of doing a blast?
  • Now Susan - you only forgot to say Puhlease didn't you - you've gotta ask nicely ;-)
  • Ok Brad, you caught me in one of those motherly multi-tasking modes where we just say "let's get it done!" <smile> what was I asking? <smile></smile></smile>
  • Earl
Major Blast... It is a great way of seeing the results of what this industry can do... Let face it, if you only have one or two people, in most pay plans, it doesn't pay out much at all... And More importantly is, that you then only have one or two people helping you build.

With the major blast, you will have that many more (ie 20 or so) helping you build and your business will grow by a factor of 20 or so vs. 1 to 3. and Let's face it... It is much easier to do this industry with a lot of people than with only one or two. Not to mention, that you have paychecks coming in while you are doing two a day...(And the checks are going to be worth more than the paper it is printed on).
  • Hey Earl! I agree with the logic, however, there are quite a few new MLM people I know in my upline (I've hardly started yet) that have recruited (not sponsored) hundreds of people who are then inactive in the business. This demonstrates that you need to invite and sponsor properly otherwise there's a danger of mistaking activity for real success.

Sometimes you'll be lucky and find someone at high noon that just gets it and gets on with it regardless of sponsorship but so far 3 out of 3 that I've recruited have done sweet FA because I mistook activity for correct application of the system.
  • peterragg
Forgot to mention i am coming to Australia next year and will do the same journey across the harbour as you Eric (on the back of my success in NM).
  • Hey Peter - post the video on here when you do ;=)
  • Totally Agree, Major Activity = Major Results. In contrary, minor activity = minor results. You Choose. Since everything in life is a numbers game, why not CHOOSE big numbers? And, remember, SWSWSW, NEXT; some will, some won't, so what, NEXT, because some eventually will...and No is not a personal rejection, it's just part of the process toward Yes !
  • peterragg
Momentum is fundamental to your success, major blast is therefore essential.
    regards
    Peter Ragg
  • MarvinTowler
WOW! Thanks for sharing this Eric! This is exactly what I needed to hear today!
  • Stephen
I hear the message, clearly the pace I am inviting at is not getting the job done.
  • eddyoshaughnessy
    Great idea , condensed action
  • guydrennan
This is particularly useful when promoting for a major event. Early major blast allows time for people to get their schedules clear. 2 a day is perfect for following up, getting confirmation, and new invitations.
  • Wow Thanks Eric, Perfect timing. Been hitting a "rut" recently. It is a new year, a new month and what perfect timing for today's video. thanks again. Let's get those "rocket engines" fired up for a major blast.
  • maariee
A major blast! I can do that and I am gonna do that! Thank you Eric.
  • Thanks Eric for this great advise.
The Major Blast is critical to build great momentum for our Network Marketing business.
The science behind it (and a bit of an art too), is when to choose to do it.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • You are right Edward. Timing is critical as you mention. Action will take you out of doubt. There are always times where one starts to wonder if we can really do it and creating a HUGE momentum will take anyone out of that doubt phase.
  • chipc
It really helps to have specific examples of what to do, or what others have done successfully.
  • Hi Eric! This is so interesting because I was just thinking about a "major blast" today. In told my boyfriend that we need to get that major blast to really launch the business, rush the engines a little bit. A major blast doesn't only help your business with sponsoring more people, it also helps you to get that true "belief" that "I can do this and I WILL Do this!" Thanks again Eric! / Linda, Sweden
  • That's AWESOME Linda! I can feel your energy jumping out of your words.
    See you at the top!
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • Nancy
Am going to do a major blast! I see why I am not moving forward. That is going to change. Thanks, Eric

  • dougharkins
Great advice, perfect time to start it. Thanks Eric!
  • kellylanley
Major blast - coming right up!
  • turjcxg
    Eric,

THANK YOU! This show REALLY helps me "see" what a major blast looks like. I mean when you added those clear, point blank examples WITH NUMBERS (make 100 phone calls in 6 days, not 6 months; talk to 90 people in the next 3 days, not 90 days), NOW I have something to shoot for. I don't know if I'll make it but at least now I know what I'm shooting at!

This show and the concrete, practical, clear examples (really, they are guidelines is what they are) is probably one of the best I've seen on NMPRO - Thank you again Eric!
  • As Yoda would say - there is no try - there is only do or not do ;=)
  • turjcxg
You're right Brad, do or no do.
  • I have been thinking about a major blast, but never got around to doing it. Thanks for the insight.
  • gillym1
Yes- how easy it si to lose your initial excitement a few months into your new business! 20 is easy in the first month but that number quickly dwindles as you go further into the daily routine! An excellent reminder - thanks again Eric!
  • amberaimshigh
Time to blast off! Here we go!
  • Major Blast? Why didn't I think of that.
    thanks eric.
  • hcapcarp
This is not work for the uninspired thanks Eric
  • pollyhulseman
Major Blast - the only way -
  • dstfa96
To recruit more people faster we need to have a major blast. A major blast is taking as much activity as we can and condensing it in a short period of time. Once we have this major blast then 2 a day will hold us in place. To get to another level we have to have another major blast and then 2 a day will hold us in place. Our profession is all about exposures. The more people we expose to our opportunity the more success we will have. The faster we expose people to our opportunity the faster we will achieve the success that we are looking for!
  • barryburgin77
    OK. Major Blast. Got it.
  • Thanks Eric,

2 a day...then, major blast. The major blast is definitely where the momentum can be created.
  • I totally agree David.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • Excellect Tip. People like to see quick results otherwise the momentum goes away. Blast away and you will soon realize that YOU CAN DO THIS!
  • Thanks for the insight Eric, looks like you are having a ball!
  • Vange01
The Major Blast is a great idea to re-launch your business and I think it will boost your energy as well.
  • Ria Leermakers
I realy love the concept of two a day.
I have been doing it for the last few weeks and I realy like.
Makes that I am working every day, without the purpose of working all day.
Planning a major blast for the last weeks of february.
  • KeithN
No doubt, the 2-a-day approach will help you maintain the consistency. However, you have to mix it up with a 'major blast' to attain the exponential growth that we all want.
  • quintaser
Sounds great, to get momentum, its like when your car runs out of the battery, and you need to push hard to move it, once it starts to move it's becomes easy to keep it moving and even moving faster, buit to get that, you really need to sweat.

Thanks Eric for thinking of all of us even when you are having the time of your life.

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana
  • LOVE this idea. Now, just imagine if you have a few people on your existing team who are ready to participate in a major blast, too? WOW! That can create some incredible results.
  • BGivan
Sometimes things escape you until pointed out. It seems most of the leaders in the company I'm with back you up. They had a big start (recruiting) and it seemed to carry them to high levels in the organization. Thanks
  • Thank you Eric for this great advise.
It's amazing how you can motivate and keep us focused on the major things!
  • lopazelasane
    Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • eugenejohnson
Yup.....im in that blast faze rite now!!!!!! excited
  • Ready to make major blasting a group effort this week with my team.
  • aileens
Great advise for both new and experienced, especially in this new year to kickstart the business.
  • It’s too cool how you take us along with you on your travels. Another great setting for a NMPro episode.

About the episode, like you say it’s easier to build fast than it is to build slow.
  • carybennett
We know that's what we need to do, but so good to hear again, to help us get focused on it, thanks again Eric
  • rmonte
Great advise for creating momentum and then 2 a day for maintaining it. Thanks Eric.

  • julie67
A great way to get "Big Mo" going in your favor. Thanks Eric.
  • Doing the 'Major Blast' several times is a good idea.
  • kgoren
Did get a little seasick, but no surprise there. Major Blast...then 2 a day to maintain...then major blast again. Great way to keep your momentum. The more people you show the business to, the better your batting average.
  • Bernadette
Thanks Eric. A major blast is what I need to do. Need to make the committment and then follow through.
  • Looking forward to tomorrows show. The major blast is the best startup for launching your business. Take care and best regards from your biggest fan.
  • highimpact0406
I like the idea/concept of Major Blast! It makes total sense and I think my challenge will be to find the people that I need to contact. In my opinion though, that is only a minor obstacle, if one at all. I just need to be more creative... Thanks for the insight, and Australia looks awesome!
  • TAbrams
I LOVE Sydney... Great place and all over Australia the people are wonderful..

Major Blast - new term for me, however the concept is all the same... AND IT WORKS!!

We utilize the same concept - and we call it "Blitzing" We will line up multiple, 10, 20, sometimes close to 100 meetings over a 1-2 day period where we have all of our team invite for their own Home Meetings , and we make it a little competitive, where we will have a Top leader in the company come do whomever' meeting has the most confirmations, then the next local leader the second most etc...

From these blitz's you gain some massive momentum and then you work with what you have just had come into your business and continue the 2+ per day exposures... then BLITZ again!!!

I was once told "2 a day will keep the bill collectors away"... but BLITZING /Major Blast.... will fuel your business and take it to the next level..

  • Jared Low
I launched my business with a major blast..And it reaped it the results! I stressed the importance of a major blast to my team and get them to profitability fast! Definitely it was a challenge to do it..but it was worth it! I'm reminding myself daily that successful people do things that are uncomfortable! :)
  • Organizing for a major blast in such a way that it can be repeated easily over and over. The results of the blast will be both immediate and long term. How to manage the results is a bicycle kind of experience. I will return to a shorter period between blasts. Funny how I forget the obvious...
  • Steve_Nelson
I'm like many others here. I need to get myself to take the leap of faith and just do it. It sounds good, and then I let my self talk tell me the negative side of what will happen( how people will say no or won't even let me get it out of my mouth and already trying to get away). I guess thats the key is don't let that take over, and just find the positive out of doing a blast or blitz. We can only improve by taking action
  • dlinkhart
Sounds great! My friends already think I'm a pest and don't want to hear another word about my products. So any major blast that I do will have to be with people I don't know. That could be problematic, finding that many in a short period of time.
  • Hey Dani? What you describe is what is stopping me from blasting and indeed inviting many people in my warm market before I am confident that I have the necessary skills to get it right. I can't risk annoying close friends and relatives (or their friends) by delivering a clumsy and potentially insensitive presentation. I am waiting for my organization to send out the 3rd party tools so I can practice how to invite - then I can plan a blitz. Meanwhile I am continuing to build my list like Eric advises because that's the one constant that we always need to be doing.
  • bethascoli
Hey guys, in my opinion it's never a good idea to be the one giving the presentation to your friends and family, especially if you have already messed things up a little bit. You definitely need a third party tool, and if I were you I would find out where to get it myself, rather than waiting on your upline. Trust me, I have had to put a lot of tools and pieces of the system together myself, and if I had waited for my upline to help...well, I'd still be waiting. (Not that that is the case for everyone, you probably have a great upline, but I'm just saying not to count on anyone) I really do think it's important that you show those people what you're doing though, or it will become awkward everytime they ask what you've been up to.

Good luck, and let me know if there's any way I can support you.
  • quintaser
Hi Dan, just an idea. Every day we meet somebody new, maybe one or two new people every day, that means that in a month maybe you can invite at least from about 20 to 50 new people to your major blast. It's sad and It's real that many people we consider our friends ends considering us a pest (as you say), but keep moving forward, fight for your dreams, no matter what, and no matter who.

    Have a great day.

    Sergio
  • dlinkhart
Thanks, Sergio. My problem is that I'm home all day and don't meet or see 2 people a week. But I am going to go through my address book again and find people to reconnect with. I'm going to hang in there and get it done somehow. I appreciate your encouragement.
  • Dan - are you stuck at home or can you choose to get out and about?

I'm no expert but I'd give yourself a break and forget about pushing the opportunity initially and instead focus on smiling at people and trying to add some value to their day by showing them some kindness. That might open more opportunities via the law of attraction.
  • Major blast! Or massive action! Love the concept! That's what I'd been missing in my activities all these years. I've started going on a phone blitz last week and I'm telling you, my world is already changing indeed!
  • BetterCoffee.dk

OK, so major blast it is.
I want to hold home business presentations once every week in my living room and invite people like crazy.
    I mean EVERYBODY!
  • keithraines
Major blast using the various tools we have to present the business will work.
  • coltsco
After the major blast, it's follow up, follow up, follow up.
  • Tina Perdue
It is a great idea. I have found that if you don't don't the right way to say it..you can lose a lot.
It would be great to have that 1 1/2 hour training taht John Milton Fogg spoke of last week.
Using the right script and not killing it the first time you talk to someone is so important toME..mostly because that is what I did.
Sales skills for me are learned
  • Tina - you are absolutely right. You need to maximise the opportunity to present to your close friends and family. You can take a bit more of a risk practising on strangers.
  • Art D. lasvegas
Good concept on "Blast" and 2 a day to maintain
  • bartar20
Here's to a relaunch to jumpstart my business!!
  • rmgmag
I like the idea of a concerted effort. My single biggest question is: After you've been through your list of 100 or so names, where are you going to get the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on number of names? For example: I have a list of 250 names that I can contact. I'll go crazy and call all of them withing a couple of weeks. Then what? How do you keep that level of calling up after you run out of names?
  • Shipmate, Eric covered how to continually buld your list in a previous show - can't recall what number but it was between 10 and 30 shows ago.

    Hope this helps.

    @Veterus
  • rmgmag
Thanks, yes I remember that one. It's sort of like the 2-a-day show. But unless I'm missing something, the only way to get to 100 or 200 a week without running out of names, is to be adding closer to 15-20 a day, and I just don't understand how to do that.
  • Connie Tolton
Just a thought on how to get contacts. I have joined several groups like local Business Alliances, an interest group that is not in my 'line of business' but I want to learn more about their business, Library groups that interest me, Ski Clubs, I stay at my kids sporting events and I talk to people, ask questions, get to know them on a first name basis. Don't be eager to sell them the first or second time you meet them - build the relationship and eventually they will ask what I do and BAM! - I give them the 30 second commercial. Then the next time we chat I might get their email address and start a conversation that way. Then before you know it were meeting for coffee or lunch and chatting about how they might be interested in what I do. This business takes tiime and yes a blast is perfect to give people you know a quick 'Oh that's what Connie does - I wasn't really sure...'. but it's the listening that really gets the prospects interested.

    Hope this helps, Connie T

Take action, now is the time.
    Thanks Eric!
  • marvalouslife1
"Major Blast" is nice. but sometime you need to do it carefully in order not to do misstakes, as a new distributor.
you need to make 5-6 phone calls. if you see you're getting "no" from 6 people, there's a problem, and you must stop and call your up-line, in order to check your "speach".
when you fill secure, then go to "Major Blast". but, again, this is my point of view.

  • I am jealous. I have always wanted to go to Australia. Looking forward to tomorrows show.

The "Major Blast" concept can be problematic for some if they are not prepared to consolidate around that new group (2 a days, mentoring/training etc) and springboard forward again...if a person is not prepared often times a letdown/burn-out is seen....it is important for the "Major Blaster" to understand that it is but the beginning and not an end onto itself....
  • claralondono
magic formula here-major blast followed by two a day and repeat this once or twice a year..Thanks Eric
  • enrique62
Thank You for sharing that you talked to 200 people in order to sponsor 20.

Thanks for another insight on the roadway to success with the .. Major Blast .. idea
In this business it is a numbers game ..

I'm sure you had some .. shrimp on the barbie .. while you were down under
  • I am liking this! The blast can be done over & over again. Feb 1 = Blast this week.. set up for growth at the begining of the month... rinse, repeat!
  • carolbarrett
You're terrific Eric. Major Blast--I've been stuck and this is truly an "ah ha" moment for me. Thanks, you're a true superstar!!!
  • gabisahar
    Hi Eric,
I got it, do a major blast, doesn't matter when you joined the business, and then, 2 a day.
    Thanks, that's a great tip.
  • I'd like ideas on how to do a major blast when you are working cold market. Does this idea also work well with inline marketing?
  • gabisahar
    Hi Eric,
I got it, do a major blast, doesn't matter when you joined the business, and then, 2 a day.
    Thanks, that's a great tip.
  • "Major blasts", that makes sense.
  • Hi Eric,

I hear what you are saying, and I think it makes scense. However my key issue is - how do you get in touch with 200 people in two weeks or one month?
  • Monday to Friday = 5 days X 4 weeks = 20 days

200 calls = 10 people per day for 20 days, or about half an hour, which makes the 'I don't have time' excuse pretty lame really. This should be very achievable with a warm market list utilising all the different means of contact we have nowadays.

From that blast you'll have people interested in looking at your business.
  • Yeah okay....I know the math - neither math nor time is my concern. What I am really concerned about is - how do you find those 200 people in such a short time ? In my past life I've allways been a bit of a loner and very introvert. MLM has changed that (Thank God) and I've never made so many connections to new people as what I've done while doing MLM - however, I do not make 200 connections within one or two months....THAT's my question - HOW do you CONNECT to 200 new people in one month??? If I new that secret then it's okay with me - then I have all the time in the world. But first I need to come up with 200 people to call !
  • Great thinking from Ken.
2 things: Don't do ads. Don't do flyers. Neither works and neither duplicates.
  • Ken McRae
    Hey there, mholm!

Your question is a good one, for sure, and deserves an answer. Part of being a Pro Networker (not that I am) is being a professional Names List builder. A Pro should never have a Names List with less than a couple hundred names on it, at all times! Once you build up to that, set a goal to maintain that size of a list, and to be daily adding to it. Your work is not done for the day until you've added at least one new name to it. It doesn't matter if it's cold, warm, or hot! Never step outside your home without your Names List. Keep it on you at all times, wherever you are, and whatever you're doing! It will help you to develop the mindset and art of continuous prospecting. There are several effective ways to build a large Name's List, and relatively quick too, consisting of hot, warm, semi-warm, and cold contacts.

Let's say, though, for argument's sake, that as of today, you only have a list of 40 names, with phone numbers and e-mail addresses. Work with what you have. Set a goal to get as many of those names off your list within the next week. Let's say that of the 40, you're able to pitch 20, and of the 20 you sponsor 4. What are the odds that each of these 4 new people you brought in also have a list of 40 names and numbers? The odds are fairly high, I would say, that between the 4 of them, they could easily build a combined names list of 160 people. So there's your 200 names right there. If each of those 4 new people will duplicate what you did, then you will have sponsored 20 people in a single calender month. These 20 new partners don't have to be on your front line, and depending on your Comp Plan, you may not be able to put 20 people on your front line, anyway.

Here's another potential scenario: Of the 20 people on your List that you couldn't pitch, for whatever reason, ask each of them if they know at least two people (each) who would like to earn a six figure income over the next year. If they say yes, ask them if they'd be willing to refer you to them, or set up an appointment for you to meet these other people. Tell them you are willing to make it worth their while, if they help put you in touch with these other people, who would like to earn a six figure income over the next year. Let's just say that of these 20 people, you manage to get 20 new names/numbers, and that of these 20 new names, 2 Aces sign-on. That's now 6 new people that you've brought in; but before you go and place numbers 5 and 6 in your downline, go back to the people who referred them to you and tell them that their Uncle Jim and Cousin Joan are going to join, and give them a chance to reconsider. You never know what might happen. They might just say that if Uncle Jim (the Accountant) and Cousin Joan (the Lawyer) think it's a good idea, maybe they should take a look at the opportunity as well. So numbers 5 and 6 could easily lead to numbers 7 and 8!!

Repeat the same process now with the other 16 people you pitched but who didn't get in; but this time try and get 3 or 4 new referrals from each of these: 16x3=48 new names! Remember, these are not just any old names, but you are specifically asking only for the names of the most successful and ambitious people they know! So let's say, for argument's sake, that of these 48 new contacts, you manage to ptich 30, 3 of which decide to get in. Your number is now up again, from 8 to 11; but before you place numbers 9-11 in your downline, go back to the people who referred them to you, and give them a chance to reconsider as well. You never know, but that 11 could bcome 12 to 14!

Now, let's just say you end up with 12 new people, from this process, over just 2 weeks of putting the 'peddle-to-the-metal'. What is the chance or likelihood that you can get at least 1, just 1 of the 12, to duplicate exactly what you've just done, in the span of those 2 short weeks? With your leadership and dedicated help, of course! I'd say the odds are very good, wouldn't you? That would put you at 20 new people, or better, for the month. And we haven't even begun to look at other ways of expanding your Names List.

Do you have a local news paper? Find out which day of the week is typically its largest distribution day, and place a small Ad in there, saying something like this: "International and globally expanding company looking for a few ambitious people looking for an opportunity to make a 6 figure income over the next year. Only the serious need call and apply!" Keep it short and sweet! Run a similar Ad in 3 different news papers, and get three times the calls! Maybe print up a flyer and pay the Post Office to distribute a few thousand of them every other month. This is just an idea, of course, but it has worked for many, many people. Then there's the Internet which can be used to build your Names List as well. Exercise a little creativity, and have fun while you're doing it; but whatever you do, establish a clear goal, and write it down, to master the Art of Names List Building and Prospecting!!

  • Ken,

thanks for a great reply. The thing is - I do frequenty expand my names list. That's one of the things MLM has thought me that I HAVE to go make contact with people and it's acctually fun. But I think maybe for a real natural outgoing person it expands faster. Anyway I think your idea of asking referals everytime I get a "thanks but no thanks" would be a super way to build faster ! Thanks Ken!
  • Great Comment Ken!
  • jlconner
Thanks for this info. We just began a major blast to reignite our business. This message came just at the right time. My wife and I spent two hours on our car ride back home making a new list. We plan the major blast this week and we are starting early Monday morning. Thanks again for the little push of encouragement.

Thank you for your time Eric

Activity - massive or minor - consistent is the key. If you have the motivation and persistence massive is the way to go to get there quicker.

Interesting concept. I am going to make use of it. Thanks, Eric.

  • We are having a " Big" event the end of this month ( one every month thanks to your challenge from your past seminar) and todays message is timely . We are using this upcoming meeting to generate momentum initiative with our down line and to gain momentum for a sell out. The net results to date, are that we are brining more people in to our " tribe" sooner than otherwise, and they are now inviting more people. The Geometry of how this works is apparent, it really is working as you suggested. Thanks again for your update on how to build a successful ProfessionalNetwork Marketing Organization.
  • clickjt
Take massive action. I like it
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
Thougt we did our major blasts (containing 3-6 people), but this interview gives it an other dimension.
We will give it more effort from now on and invite more...and more... and more. We rally want to be better nmpro's. thanks Eric for this great view from Australia...

  • If you manage to get a major blast going, you build momentum, and you more will follow you, and do the same. It takes your business to new limits. I have done that before in my old company, and I must commit that now I maintain by 2 a day.....But this made me also start thinking about a major blast again.....
  • Ryan
major blast to creating momentum. Word to the wise that you need to prioritize time to do this as with all things....it is a major task for someone brand new in the business to venture out and accomplish, however very doable..Action in this area dictates how successful someone will be in NM business. Do you teach this to your newest recruits?
  • peterburrows
That's a plan..... I'm gonna start right now.
First, I'm going to lay down a result for this activity.
New Year in the Austrian Alps with my wife and kids.
How..? find 3 new people this month who will commit to becoming a NMP, after all.....
    we have a better way.
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
I love this and I love Sydney. I will be there again in July this year - living a good life. And I'm readying for a major blast - it is on my goals list. Other people in network marketing should follow this line of thinking that Eric is telling us about. For reasons of my own (personal) I am not yet leading and so can only experience my future success in my imagination. NWM professionals must and do consistently duplicate what Eric and other leaders say and demonstrate - which is why I know I am going to be very very successful. Be and do as Eric says and we will all be winners. I am already a winner and I will, if they want, help others be winners, MAKING IT MY BUSINESS. Thanks again Eric.
  • I assumed it was common practice in the industry. In fact in every industry. I mean when you open a store or company you want (& need) to spread the word to as many people as possible and create traction. Comes down to "Hobby vs. Business", and then to the magic of "Why"
  • great advice Eric ;)
  • peterburrows
Say that again..... I was too busy looking over your shoulder.
    Yeah ok, replay.
  • MagnusEdvald
Good concept. It is so important to install the sense of urgency into people. If it takes them to long to see any results they can lose their motivation. So great reminder thanks.
  • Erik
Jepp, it toke some time before I understod that major blast is the only way to build fast. My "leaders" used to say slow and steady is the way. But your right Eric, One more thing is that your people will do what you do and you set the pace for the organization. Great Show :)
  • Hans
A Major Blast, I guess that's what it will have to be this week for me....a great, short, concise, to-the-point and simple way to tell me what I should be doing this week.....creating momentum for my business....as much activity as physically possible and condensing in it into a short period of time....6 days to make 100 phonecalls,...talk to 90 people in the next 3 days...a major blast will get me of the ground and running....and then maintain it and sustain it with 2-a-day.....I decide to relaunch my business....so Ladies and Gentlemen, my wish for ME is that I will decide that I will become a Network Marketing Professional,....and now let ME go tell the world....even in Sydney, Australia (hopefully some day soon)....Thanks again, Eric (and Charley)!
  • Glad you got to experience our harbour and where else to talk about a Major Blast with all those prospects on the water.
  • jacob stiner Israel
Hi Eric the concept of Major Blast! Great idea.I love it
  • Mailen
hei. should have been there to. . . . one of my dreams .
I hear you saying to a day, its not so easy to follow up but I am trying.
    Thank you .

Here's the formula to success :
Major Blast to begin with + 2 a day to maintain my business
  • andyschunk
I thought the information was good. Felt a little sea sick watching the video but all is good.
  • Kjell Englund
Major blast, it´seems so easy when you tell about it Eric. Two a day is to slow for a new kid in the business. After a long period of learning and traning it´s time to check if I´m ready to take off.

Speaking and listening is the fundamental
Work on your own belief and personal growth
    Life is about learning, Lifeschool

It´s time to go out and meet the real world
  • georgeman
You answered a question I asked you in the past by saying 200 numbers per month, I didn't forget, what ever changes within myself I have to make, what ever it takes, it shall be done.
  • wouterdeprez
hi Eric, did you do your major blast (talking to 200 people) with warm market or cold market, because I guess the numbers are hugely different??
  • happyhealthybob
Dose momentum have anything to do with this? I like that idea of a major blast.
  • veronikakari
Well, you are definitely right, but I have to think about the time I would be able to dedicate at this short of period of time.
  • georgeman
Eric, thank you again. Its training like this that I love. I have decided to keep my comments short from now on. It seems that I have been thinking and writing ,more than I have been meeting and sponsoring. Problem corrected, thanks for the great training.
  • Ellis3
    cool.
  • Major blast.....I love that concept......Thanks for that!
  • Vern Trabue
    Great concept! Great idea!
  • hanneretvik
I just joined the wonderful NWM world and was doing "2 a Day", but now I understand I must try a Major Blast!
  • Yes, I will do another Major Blast! So much easier (and fun) to build the business fast instead of slow.
  • Erik
But is this old school ? I read one of the books of your mentor and she told me that warm marked was old school. She made a point out of it in the books. Are you doing the blast with leads ? Thank you so much for doing so much for your team :) I like your honesty and dedication :)

    Aloha Eric,
I love the idea of a major blast. That makes incredible sense! I have heard of blasts within my company but didn’t know the impact. Kind of thought it was to begin momentum, which it is too, but I can now see how it will also start the catapult into the higher level. Thank you again! :) Dawn Marie
  • Marion
2010 - A new year and a new major blast.
  • Timely for me as I just started my opportunity...a major blast launch makes sense over a short period of time....sort of like a 60-90 day diet/fitness program, then maintenance over time.
  • rayrios
Great. Will a Major Blast be more effective on a 90 day cycle?
  • Ah! I get the idea. Make 3 days work to be complete in 1 day. This is cool!
  • The Major Blast is a timeless concept that all great network marketing leaders use to launch their business or build momentum, the speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack. Thanks Eric for reminding us and reinforcing this critical action step with your own personal story.
  • I'm blasting off and so are several of my team members thanks to this incredible resource!! I love you Eric Worre! lol

The major blast is a great concept. Compress a lot of business building activity into a short period of time to really get off the ground or to move to a higher level. You could compare it to launching the space shuttle.
  • Love that concept Eric. Works every time.
    Thanks!
  • Major Blast, yahoo! Watch out everyone - here I come!
  • Lorraine
I am ready to make a major blast to reignite my business. Thanks for a great new business approach that I didn't know about. Today is the first of the month, so I decided to make this my blast month. Wish me luck!. Thank you for all you do.

Man ... the timing of your show is UN-canny! ... I've got to make a major push to qualify for a Retreat for our Ruby pin levels and got about 2 months to do it but I plan on doing it in one month with this technique!!! LOVE it!!

  • talya_mitzafon
DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT MAJOR BLAST?
WE CAN START IT ANY TIME !!! IF WE DIDN'T SUCCEED TO BUILD OUR BUSINESS, FOR ANY REASON, IF WE DIDN'T GET THE RESULTS WE EXPECTED, WE CAN CHANGE IT BY DOING "MAJOR BLAST".

    C H O O S E TO SUCCEED !!! FIND A "WHY" THAT WILL MAKE YOU "CRY" !!! MAKE A "MAJOR BLAST", NO MATTER WHAT !!!
    THANK YOU ERIC.

  • randers1
Major blast is a fantastic concept. Build relationships, blast, build relationships, blast, rinse and repeat with consistency and compassion.
  • DianaValdez
Mmmmm, lots of questions in my mind... I guess I can call them excuses.

Major blast, you ARE RIGHT, what's the point on waiting to call someone next week when I can call them today? (Easy to say it eh?). Next step, major blast trial number one!
  • caronwashington
The major blast and 2/day concept is a great way to build your business. Get as many people to see the information in a short period of time. Its all about a funnel....expose, follow-up and enroll. My team is in the rebuilding stages and so AM I. Febrauary will be a major blast and it has to be
  • Tarashon Broomes
I love that concept do a lot in a small period of time instead of taking 6 months (major blast), which is good because it helps you build momentum quicker, which helps sustain your business
  • latachia_2
Use a major blast of contacting as many people as possible, then go to using 2 a day. Then you can do another major blast & maintain it with doing the 2 a day. Great show!
  • fc34615
Today, I made my decision to relaunch my business by putting as much effort into it as possible.
Thanks Eric. We will see you soon,
    Fernando.
  • Taking massive action is the way to go (or Major Blast) to get the signups. What I have found though is you need to take care in the technique. If it's not warm market (which it usually isn't) the relationship still needs to be formed or excessive dropouts may occur. It can be difficult at best to recruit 20 people in 10 days, let alone form a relationship with them. Maybe my "Never leave a man behind" attitude needs to change, but I prefer to sponsor (without the leaching) than recruit any day. I've done the "blasting" and have had some great results and have some wonderful co-distributors because of it. All in all, the closest to me, are the personal relationships.
  • Major Blast - simple concept, but so true!

Talk to 200 in 7 days and reap the rewards!

Thanks Eric for another great episode from beautiful Australia!
  • andreas papakostas
    did you recruit charlie??
  • ericworre
Nope. Invited him to sit down and talk about it but he didn't show. :)
  • Brilliant! If only he knew what an opportunity passed him by! You can lead a horse to water...

Every time I hear this sort of thing I hear the wisdom of the late Jim Rohn "That's just the way it is..." :-0
  • georgeman
    Lol, man, you're the best.
  • denisekay
Yes, why not go for the "Major Blast".

    love to you all.
  • and love to you too dear lady :-)
  • Major blast: Condense productive activities (e.g. calls to prospects) into a short period of time.
    Sounds like a winner.

If you look like your passport picture, you probably need the trip.
  • shaisamuel
Yes, so true. We started with 170 calls in 10 days, enrolled 11 the first month, and then 1-4 a month. We have today over 43,000 in our org. And we are starting a new Major Blast, because we need new stars as well as send a message out there, that this is the ONLY way, and the right thing to do.

Thank you Eric for the wisdom you are sharing, see you soon in SF...

  • Hey Shai - see you in SF. It's great that we will be having the opportunity to meet our new friends from this site. I look forward to it.

  • Well said, Eric. 2-a-day is great for maintenance and steady growth, but all-out nose to the grindstone for the first month or 2 will get some serious activity going in your business, which will help drive your motivation to continue on month after month ...

    Best to you,
    Scott

  • Houston, we are ready to takeoff.....
  • Haven't you heard? Barack has cancelled the space programme... ;-)
