It's easy to get frustrated but like like NM will have bumps in the road along the way. The longer you take to let it go - the longer it takes to get towards thte success that awaits you.
  • aliceflanders
I know it can be discouraging. When I loose someone I thought was going to be good, I feel that I have no energy left in my body.
  • Let it go, let it go...
  • Bryan_in_KC
There is a guy in our business, cross line from me, that was treated very badly by his upline. He had a choice to let that become a wound or let it go and move forward. He chose that latter and because he learned from his experience has become a great leader of his team.
  • heatherbrocklehurst
The sad thing about this is we are in complete control of the healing and in most cases responsible for causing the wounds as well.
  • wealthandriches
I so relate to this. I've been through plenty of let downs in the past in other MLM's. But you know what? I keep going because I believe in the model of MLM's. You can't lose unless you quit!
  • such a critical message! Sometimes easier said than done...but, we all know, it will not be easy to become the person you need to be in order to succeed in this business....or life for that matter!
  • yitz613
Let's heal ouselves. Let's let go ,move forward and transform ourselves...
  • Dylan Cooper
Boy! Do I recognise myself in what you say here! We get addicted to our pain,it's so true. Let it go.
  • Susan Johannesson
Yes, don't look back too much - look forward!
  • Great post. Aks yourself: Am I a slave of my thoughts or am I the boss. You decide and if you pick the right one, you are on your way to heal yourself.
  • Eric - to help us all grow to a point where we can prevent a lot of this, would you be willing to do a series called: Now That I've Got a Downline, What Do I Do (with them)???
  • For many people, letting go of their personal hurts or pains is a learned experience, but once you do let go the weight of the world is lifted from you....Thanks for pointing this out to us.
  • great analogy!
  • Calvin Boutilier
    Onward we go!
  • meagankellytorres
Letting go of old hurts and pain. That is the key to happiness in life, I think.
  • classy70sgirl
This was so good Eric! And how true it is! I for one have to work on this and intend to overcome it in order to charge forward to success.
    Classy70sgirl
  • FedericoGrowthsperity
This video has the record for the times I got the chills!! Wow!!! truly inspiring!!! Especially the part on the gifts we have looking at us, saying " you never gave me a chance"

    Thanks!

    Federico
  • ViktoriaGuerin
Always need to let go before you can move forward. Otherewise it does not work, it is a law. If past is holding someone, it is only holding you and not the person you are thinking or complaining about.
  • susanjohannesson
Yes, look forward and work on getting better instead of complaining! Aways move forward.
  • Jose Lopez
I never faced this issue personally in this arena. However, like everyone else I have faced in other areas of my live. I believe taking 100% responsability on 100% of my life is a good "healing point" to start.
  • AdvocareJax
Thank you for speaking more truth. Misery loves company and until a person can decide they want to do something better, they will never be able to move forward from past pains.
  • cherisizzles
So true. Letting go of those mental wounds is powerful. Difficult. But powerful!
  • Vonnita2010
Hello Eric! yes indeed many people love living their lives picking on the wounds they have and having people feel sorry for them, they thrive on people feeling sorry for them this is their way, it takes a lot of self love, energy and determination to let these things go and start living with a possitive attitude, of taking all these bad experiences and transforming them into an opportunity of growth through experience and moving on!!! I thank you for the advise, I believe everything is possible and if a person really wants to move on they will see that dweling on something is not the answer to being a succesful person, emotionally and profetionally. My Best Alwasy...
  • Shovers
Thankfully I have not experienced this. Maybe it is the fear of this that holds me back. How ugly is that?
  • jlt0wn
    Yep.
  • I think it is very important moment after every fall to get up and do it better by learning from that pain you've just had. Like you say "There is only a learning experience", and no meter what I'll become successful.
  • WOW this stirs the mind into action ;)
  • timandtricia
Great advice. Stop the damage. Don't constantly replay the pain. You better believe the people who caused the pain forgot about it along time ago. The "victimhood" isn't a very nice place to live.
  • Damijan81
Let it go and move on. Simple as that.
  • jeanalbert
I can't say that I've been wounded in this industry, and I'm so glad that I haven't, but I do wish that does individuals who have been find the courage and strength to let it go as you said Eric. Only then will they be able to move forward in success.
  • Bea Resnick
I agree, we have to let them go. I'm sharing a short video on forgiveness. It's a tool that's easy and effective, especially if you say the words out loud while the video is playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fGGF9Qyh0s
  • Robbin
Hopefully those people will come around and give it a try again.
  • Lotta
Look ahead and throw the Old back pack away.
  • DianaValdez
It's true, as your body has all the knowledge to cure himself, your mind and emotions are wise, you just need to allow the cure to happen. I think taking charge would be the first step.
  • Inger
Healing is part of growing up. There's one person that got my attention a year ago, Nick Vujicic. And it's as he says: It's not important how many times you try and fail, it's how you finish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8ZuKF3dxCY This video tells the story...
  • Carlos Perez
We must go on with live, like everthing else.
  • John Boyd
No pain no gain - Let's hope tomorrow is better - Glass half full.....
  • seija
Stop picking at the wounds, let it go. Mental healing.
  • Donna Wheaton
It is great to know that one person can have such a strong influence in your life. I just pray that I can touch someone as Jim Rhon did.
  • Donna Wheaton
Legacy- what do I want to leave behind. I want people to say she helped people reach there goals and dreams. I want people to say she was always helping and giving to all. I am sure my legacy will grow the more I grow.
  • Donna Wheaton
It comes down to a choice. I can either stay there and have a pitty party or I can acknowledge it and make a choice to do something different. Surround my self with people who can and will help me work through the challenge. That is what I choose to do! That is why personal development is soooooo important as long as I am growing I can help others to grow as well.
  • jayvannostrand
    Great reminder Eric...heal thyself!
  • Holding on to old wounds or physic damage created by past experiences in network Marketing is only going to have you working from a position of victimhood, that position will not serve you well. Use those bad experiences as an opportunity to learn and grow
  • germanjaramillo

    -GJ
  • denisekay
Decide is the Key Word here:)
  • When we turn 21, we must take whatever was given to us- be it education, memories, traumas- and work to better the good stuff and transform the bad stuff into empathy to tell stories, personal experience and strength. "What does not destroy me, strenghens me".
  • #240 Thank you Eric sometimes we need to be reminded and have our eyes opened
to the things that might be slowing us down
  • Like every single day, you teached me a lessson my friend. Thanks and best regards from your biggest fan.
  • What is the saying? It's not what happens to you that matters, it's how you respond. The choice is ours.
  • Robertdiggsjr
    great tip!
  • JenniferDu79
I totally agree with you. However, I take it one step further in that if those things happen to an individual by saying "look what they did to me" etc you are relinquishing control and handing that power over to that person who could care less. If we believe WE are responsible for allowing those things to happen to us then that means we can change it. We can change the outcome in the future with similar situations. Being so wounded and not forgiving ourselves and moving on lets go of control. What do you think?
  • Connie Tolton
Thanks for the reminder, another point I have to remind myself is that other's failures are not mine!

    ConnieT
  • Hai
My thought to add is that we all have a choice to be BETTER or BITTER?
It takes less time & efforts to be BETTER than to drag the old wounds around that weigh your life down with BITTERNESS.
  • happyhealthybob
you just have to re-dedicate your self everyday. knowing that you can make today better then yesturday
  • Two things have happened rece4ntly. I lost the fear of worrying about dying young, and I grew to a point in my live where I do not let the “insults of others" keep me in a pool of angst.
Some will, some wont, so what, so long. has transformed into Some will ,Some won't … SOME TIME. The chance of meeting People who are not at 12:00 o'clock and ready to jump on board.. is ….most of the time.
More often than not, it takes time for people to adapt to a solid proposition and adjust their bias to allow for a new pattern of thinking. How many times have we heard the Pyramid word or Ponzi scheme, before we get story on the table and help them past their prejudice about what have chosen for a income opportunity? When people utter this, they are not evaluating the opportunity but rather denigrating the choice of your profession. Every rejection creates a mental scar. It is this mental Damage that feeds our ability to grow. It is either a burden or the fuel for gaining the confidence to grow past the rejection or.
  • crwood1967
You know I had a fall-out with my upline and for the past several weeks I have been holding onto those "wounds" and over the past 2 days I have just come to the realization that I have to let things go and move on with MY business no matter what. As a wise man said "Heal thyself"
  • luigijr
Very very true i know a lot of people that got burned by a company or an upline and just because of that they have give up in our great industry and gone back to their origins
  • NexusResources
We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. - Joseph Campbell, Author
  • deniseschnitzer
I, too, wish my mental wounds could heal quickly. I understand completely...I'm working really hard to heal. I'm learning that it means nothing and I have the power to ignore it all. Thanks for this reminder!
  • feltricks
The answer for all the mental damage is the personal development.
That's what we have, a personal development business with a compensation plan.
That's what will keep us protected from all that damage.
A habit to be developed every single day.
    Thank you so much Eric.
  • emmettb
I would agree that we love to get attention, I will resolve to not pick at "my" wounds
  • amberaimshigh
hmmm.... what a message. Hits home here! Moving forward and healing and having fun again!
  • kamalharris
Personally development speeds up mental healing. What may have bothered you or wounded your mind in the past is almost like water under the bridge when you take the time to mentally develop yourself.
  • kgadol
Amen! You said it beautifully. Forgive. Let go. Move on. The opposite hurts no one but the person who refuses to do this.
  • bartar20
I agree, for your own peace of mind and sanity, you just need to let it go and quit harboring the ill will, it will just play havoc with your health and distract you from your long term goal!! Look for the good and strive to be positive!!
  • tommycone
#240 - Thanks for this post Eric. When you look at things that have happened in your life you have two choices, let them control you and your life or, let them go and make your own choices.
  • Those thoughts that sit in our minds can really cause one to fail. We need to flush the bad out of our heads quite often. Forget the past, look ahead and drive on. Great post, Eric....No time for "Pity Parties" is there?
  • I am in a Mastermind Group that is helping me to overcome the barriers that's stopping me.
I've gone through it for quite some time now and the "past" is the "past".
Whatever I've gone through previously, is out of my mind.
It's no longer in my way of going further.
  • Great thoughts and examples...
  • aliceclifford
Hello: Eric You realy hit the nail on the head.Been their done ,seen,& heard that. It's a cold stone fact that it does not work.I had to use your words. Thanks A.C.
  • Marion
I love your stories, and I will definitely let things go.
I usually try not to hold onto them, but every now and then I hate to admit it I do.
But I wont anymore that is a promise!
  • It's all about whiners and winners. I choose to be be a winner
  • socorro
thanks Eric , yes I do have a lot to learn,
  • dterrell
It is difficult to move forward when your focus is on the wounds and scars that you have received. Sounds like practicing personal development and letting go of the present/past would help.
  • highimpact0406
Eric, another way to say this is...."get over it!" I liked the message and will remember that when times feel tough and I might start to do a poor me trip. Thanks.
  • Thanks so much for this segment. I badly need this advice since I am struggling with old wounds that seem to keep me from progressing as a network marketing professional. The sad thing is I'm sure my downline and potential recruits may be feeling these negative thoughts as well. Wow! I should snap out of this muck right now. Only I can help myself.
  • karivankleef
Let it go- the only person it is hurting is you. I have been there and it is not a pleasant place to be in. I just decided one day to pick myself up, dust it off and move on.
  • Irina
Everything you're talking about and much more sounds very familiar!
But it only makes me stronger!
Thanks God I have you who is explaining that I am not the only one witn this baggage.
  • turjcxg
OMG. This is so true. Thank you again for this training.
  • This is so true. And with it comes the ability to let go and really forgive. And also to escape the wound the next time the same thing happens.

I think the biggest challenge is to let go the wound in which I had invested so much of my psychic energy, because it justifies my lack of results and not living the life I want to live. The so called victimhood. Hence the challenge... no more "enemies"...

    ; )

    NOTES:
Mental wounds inside NM - psychic damage.
"Look what all this people did to me, feel sorry for me"
    Stop picking at it!
Find people who will encourage me to heal the wounds and move forward.
Proud of my wounds... let it go! There's a better future for me if I do.
  • pollyhulseman
The wounds can make you stronger if you let it.
  • You snuck this episode in on me and now I'm batting out of order. Mental scar tissue is a tough hurdle to get over. Thanks for the encouragement.
  • raybeattie
Funny, I thought it was a requirement, to have a company fail or go to bed at night selling long distance service and wake up selling websites, to be in network marketing. If it weren't for the great positive people (Eric, John Fogg) I would have left a long time ago. Thanks Eric.
  • I love you Eric!
One of the greatest advantages of network marketing is the very fact that we find ourselves in the company of so many extra-ordinary individuals who have experienced the lesson that the psychic damage can be healed.

They are around to call us out if and when we succumb to the common tendency to look for somebody to blame.
  • Dream stealers came into my life at the age of 7 probably. I dreamed of this and dreamed of that. People kept telling me slow down, you cant keep up or you cant do this or that in life. As I grew up, I played life safe and kept my distance from most people. It reminds of the expression: " Keep your friends close, your enemies closer". I do identify dream stealers and keep them at arms length. The question I ask myself is this: would I want them near my family? If I wouldnt keep them in the presence of family, why on earth would I bring them into my life?
  • jpmendoza
The Dream Stealer, someone that has been hurt in someway by MLM & refuses to help (correct information) to heal the misconception they have about Network Marketing.
  • I remember early on in my quest for personal development, listening to an inspiring talk regarding this very subject. People will continually pick at their wounds by talking about it over and over and never letting it go. That type of behavior only reinforces the wound. It was always so frustrating for me because I personally was always trying to stay positive and couldn't seem to help them move on.

I finally learned to empathize but not wallow with them. I could only set a positive example and keep moving forward and growing with positive expectancy.

Thank you for the subtle reminder that we can change and grow and move beyond our wounds.

    Jim
  • gkamlm
You are a good part of the healing process for psychic damage. These presentations really help us overcome many of those battles.
  • Ever heard of EFT? It is great for removing those mental and emotional obstacles that we might not even know are there! Thanks!
  • gabisahar
    Dear Eric,
This is realy amazing, yes, we can cure ourselves from bad experience, actualy we should, It's a matter of decision and belief.
    Thank you!
  • Bernadette
Great Message! If its to be its up to me, go for the no.
  • Hans
Legacy position....I will do my thinking on that issue this week....
  • Hans
Look @ what all those people did to me....look at all the blood....important to decide to let it go...i agree...its not wounds from network marketers, but different ones, that unf take a little longer, but in the end its still the same.....and not always so easy...but i am determined to get there....
  • This is one of the bad sides with internet. Some of those people get to a forum somewhere and let everybody knew that they have been hurt. Destroying this opportunity for a lot of people that read it, and get scared to even go on and learn about our business.
They steel dreams from many fine people.....before they get the chance to even look at "the better way we have"...
  • lauralopez
It is important to grow faster and faster and develop my skills
  • Pete
This is so true of so many of the people I know who give up
  • enrique62
I release the wounding or negative experience by releasing the negative emotion associated with the event.
  • veronikakari
Trying just to look forward, past I cannot change, but future yes.
  • So true Eric, it's very unfortunate when that happens. However what I think often makes it diffricult is, we take ordinary people and make extrodinary people out of them by touching the dreams they had parked on a distant planet ages ago, and bringing that to life again. Then if someone close to them say something maybe not once or twice but three or four times before we can build that person up to extrodinary they get so crushed that healing is allmost impossible. That's why building people is one of our most important tasks in this industry, so that no one can steal your dreams ever again !
  • Cee_G
So true...we do tend to wear our "war wounds". The become another reason (i.e., excuse) for us not to build our businesses. First step is to be aware, so thanks for the reminder Eric.
  • Jessi
So true. So let go of the past and move forward!
  • Edith Kohler
    I agree totally once again
  • lucbehar
    240:
human loves to blame and picking at causes....... they love to put themselves as victims!
The only way is to get over it as fast as possible and to develop that skills of getting over it faster and faster and faster!
  • hcapcarp
if you have one foot in the past and one foot in tomorrow you have a real good chance of @%^**ing all over today. Time to move on
  • beckydesabah
Let go . . . Leave the hurt behind . . Heal your wounds and move on.
    Great advice !
  • rosslopez
It's very easy to be a victim based on the things that doesn't happen the way we want to.
If we strongly believe in what we are, what we do and all the potential we have to do our business, there is no time to get depressed or to be a victim, learn from your failures and move on, get better to succeed in life =o)

    Hugs from Mexico
    Rossana :P
  • "build a bridge and get over it"....foward is a good place to go !
  • martinvf
It's not easy, it's part of our reprogramming.
    Say bye to victimism.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, México.
  • Darnell
You said it....Let It Go!!. Heal and become successful for the future!! Thank you so much!! Looking 4ward to the next video!!
  • Lorraine
    perfectly stated!1!
  • Luis Gringras
    Let it go!!
  • My first network marketing experience was a 2 1/2 year disaster. It took me a long time to come back, and a lot of healing. I remember asking my dad about 'practicing' a presentation with him and once I started talking, he immediately called it 'Oh! It's one of THOSE things. That's a scam, those things never work."

    Ouch!

That was back in 2001. Thankfully, I didn't 'pick at it' and just let it be and heal on its own.
  • Dave S
Personal responsibility for yourself, your success and your happieness.
  • Eileen
Yes, yes, by all means, keep positive.
  • pech
Yes, it is incredibly important to let go. For some people it is easy, while for others it is very difficult. Think positive and focus on something you're good at.
  • Great! Although it can and must be done, it is not always easy. We live in a culture that is all about blaming others and 're-telling the tell' (in the news industry, "If it bleeds - it leads") and carrying baggage from year to year. That is why motivation or uplifting books and tapes are important. These are tools that help us replace the bad stories in our heads with good ones and take responsibility for our own 'stuff.'
  • hanneretvik
I could not agree more! It is so easy to blame others and drown yourself in self pity. Next time I feel a mental wound, I will surround myself with people that will encourage me to heal and above all make a conscious choice that I have the ability to heal.
  • ronaldvandomburg
thanks for this story. I like the parallel and I think it's true. it's time to take responsability: the ability to respond in the proper way. I decide it over and ove again and I will continue to focus on becoming a networkmarketing professional
  • Leave the "past" behind. Leave the "hurts" behind.
The past is the past & it's time to move on.
  • christinaglazar
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT - JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THESE TRUTHES!
  • mbryant
Good job Eric. Important that our convictions about what we are doing are strong enough to withstand any slight nicks or bruises in your psyche.
  • The human body/mind is amazing. I am the only one who can heal myself and not be the victum. It is so easy to have physic damage, pick at it so it won't heal so I can show it to others my wounds. I will stop picking at it and find the strength/support to let it go and move forward to my success ! ! !
  • hpena
Very good analogy. Sometimes it's the small things that we overlook that can have a big effect on our business. Picking at the scab (complaining about everything) will only make it worse.

    Nando
  • Earl
Thanks Eric! We all need reminding of we can get past everything if we do what is needed for enough long enough.
  • germarl
If it's to be -it's up to me to choose how I respond or react to what happens -'in the settting of the sail'...
  • Pepeneto
If it can not kill you, then it make you stronger. We choose what to think and what to believe. We have to think big.
  • Erik
Sunday morning, Im here looking at videos. Learning so much :)
  • travelprohawaii
Thanks Eric. Timely message. I was feeling like a failure because I haven't made any money in network marketing yet. I was lured in the business with the lottery mentality and have never forgiven it since. I now know that it is just a wound that I have left to show as a badge and that has been holding me back. I now decide to say I am letting it heal in this forum and start growing and building as a professional networker!
  • brianhepner
Harder to see wounds that are buried inside your mind. My guess is that if the wounds are left unrepaired they begin programing your mind with undisired consequences.
  • lynn hall
I agree, get over it, move on.
  • bethascoli
It is important to let mental wounds heal, but if you are showing them to everybody than you are not even open to the process of letting them heal. It's not an easy thing to do, but it is necessary, thank you for this reminder Eric.
  • In the beginning of your networkmarketing career it´s so easy to go on this mental rollercoaster when things happen; someone join you - you´re on top, next day they quit - you go down. As you develop in this business you´ll (or at least it will an advantage for you..) learn to wear your "elephant skin" so you´re really not affected wether people join or quit or whatever..You just keep doing that basic work over and over, driven by your desire, and you know you will make it happen.
  • susanclark
#240 - Psychic Damage - You addressed something that happens to all of us. But, as you said, "Get Over It." Great advice. And, it is our choice. You can't proceed forward if you can't let it go. I agree. Thanks.
  • tomlacey
Let it go and move forward. We all need to do this in many aspects of our lives.
  • maariee
    Great lesson. Thank you
  • Maxwellhealth
Champions have no room to "Feel Sorry For Themselves"......Learn from the expereince...adjust...move forward....I would suggest that Eric will deal with the sheets (ropes) a little different next time....learn and move on :-)
  • talya_mitzafon
THE KEY WORDS ARE SELF-RESPONSIBILITY. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS AROUND ME, I HAVE TO CHOOSE AND TO DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO SUCCEED.
  • agelfederico
We have to be responsible and take our future in our hands
  • orlyalbo
I'm sure your fingers reacover quickly with Misiting Gel and Exo...
About the open wound in mind, it is the easy way to stay wher i don't be responsible,
    to keep blame others.
This is the big choice here.
  • I love the analogy of physical wounds vs mental wounds. We know that with a physical wound that we have to tend to it, clean it, put a bandage on it, and give our body time to heal. And as Eric said, if you keep picking at your scab, then it won’t heal. And that’s exactly what we do with our mental wounds – we keep picking at it. We don’t let our mental wounds heal. We can’t see that our mental wounds haven’t healed.

Does anyone have ideas on what works well to ‘clean’ our mental wounds to help them heal as quickly as possible? Thanks!
  • agelfederico
I think one of the ways to clean your mental wounds is to forgive
  • I agree. Forgiveness would be a great way to start the healing process. Thanks!
  • agelfederico
You are always welcome, have a great weekend
  • mrmauriocrawford
Eric, this was a really thought provoking segment. I'm letting go.
  • Leave the past in the past and begin new today - great message.

"Close the door of fear behind you, and see how quickly the door to success opens in front of you." ~ Napoleon Hill
  • Eileen
    Ok!! I'm letting it go!!!
  • dlinkhart
This is good! Thanks for sharing that.
  • FrankMarshman
I think this is a very important idea. It certainly is relevant for me. Thanks.
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
Are we hurt, because the 'world' tell us we should be?
Randy Gage tells us: quit on the media, for they are mostly negative about everyone-and-everything (and that duplicates). for instance, unsubscribe on the news.
When we do not feed our mind with negativity, we can make our own mind up with what we think/feel is right (and become less hurting?) And go to find people who wants the same lifestyle that you want.
For sure I agree with him (and you) THANKS ERIC
  • Ngoc Tran
Now I understand that all things happen to me are the results of what I have done. I am a co-creator to make them happened. So, I am willing to take responsibilities, forgive self, and heal my wounds. When I do this, I feel like I am in the heaven. I will not resent anymore because it leads me to the cycle of impasse.
  • claralondono
healing and moving on...important for life, love and business. Thanks again
  • MattinJaxfl
This is the most critical subject for me. Letting go of those past failures and unmet personal expectations. I am doing my best using the "Slight Edge" approach. Replacing bad habits with good ones and chipping away a little at a time. I don't believe others can believe in you and what you have to offer if you do not believe in yourself.
  • artdlasvegas
Great Lesson not only in network marketing, but in life.
  • shawncyr
In the martial art I study we learn to perservere. We don't show we're hurt, we keep going until we've reached our goal. We know when we are injured and will mention it, but we don't quit. We can keep doing something to move toward our goals. Religiously now, I've learned, and believe, that one is to move forward with a smile on their face and a song in their heart. Exercise faith. Jim Rohn taught it best when he said that you have to believe that it's going to happen because the law of averages says it will. The farmer sows seeds in fertile soil because he knows a harvest is coming. He doesn't mope around saying oh wo is me. He doesn't pull out his soap box and yell out look at me and my calloused hands and sore back because I was tilling and sowing. No, he keeps going to the field to nurture what he's sown, pull weeds, and wait for the harvest.
Perservere ladies and gentlemen, with the soul of a beautiful flower.
  • Food for thought here Eric-very thought-provoking...and yes these people are everywhere aren't they...in fact I am going to explore some of the "cobwebs" of psychic damage in my own speech and thoughts and become conscious of them and STOP IT and GET OVER IT! This is why it is so important to read others stories or relate to the less than perfect glitch at the ending of the Olympic opening ceremonies. Stuff happens -it is about our ability to fail forward that brings us closer to achieving our goals.
  • PaulineP
This is tremendous personal growth in our industry and for all who are taking the journey seriously or learning to take it seriously, are significantly impacting those around them....and becoming the beacons of hope. It is the start of true duplication and success.
  • Agree, but I do get the feeling that more people realize that we have been and living in a world that is upside down. In my experience there is more willingness to listen to why we have a better way and also tell about their damage...
But the most will remain to cling to their damage...
Too bad, that people do not see that trying and not succeeding... doesn't mean automatically they have failed.
    Again I can recommend "The 50th Law" by R. Green & 50cent
  • It's doesn't matter which area of life you look at, most people that are extremely successful got there because they were able to see each failure and bad experience along the way as a learning experience rather than a road block. In this game the eternal optimist wins.
  • jacob stiner
Hey Eric every day we hear stories of people on network marketing and how they were Risti usually they stay in and do nothing to take responsibility for their lives. They just do not want to cure themselves
  • karenandian
Focus on the good, not the disappointments. To truly move forward (in life), if something has not worked - learn from it and move forward. NEXT. You keep putting one foot in front of the other, let those negative thoughts go and you will succeed in whatever it is you are aiming for. Belief in yourself!
  • annem
I agree, it is easy to get distracted - that it is you when they say "no" but really it is they are saying not "yes" now. "So what", "next one". Thanks.
  • “Don’t [proudly] hang on to disappointments.” Our lives are molded by a constant flow of decisions. I believe that to a much greater extent than is commonly recognized, “We create our own reality.”

When it comes to our NM business, and our attitude about any given disappointment, it’s helpful to ask ourselves, “Is my attitude about this disappointment moving my business ahead or holding it back?”

"The world is your mirror and your mind is a magnet. What you perceive in this world is largely a reflection of your own attitudes and beliefs. Life will give you what you attract with your thoughts. Think, act, and talk negatively and your world will be negative. Think and act and talk with enthusiasm and you will attract positive results." - Michael LeBeuf
  • Mailen
Make your buisness go forward , use your time on poitive things and keep your mind on the goal.
  • “Technology is great for communication and training, but not recruiting. Recruiting success is based on building relationships.” It might be fun to argue with you about this, Eric; but the problem I then have is that the NM leaders I know who are making the most money preach the same gospel.

"Let us endeavor so to live that when we come to die
even the undertaker will be sorry." --Mark Twain
  • Ryan
Heal. Forget the negative and stay focused on why you got in the business in the first place.
  • Letting go, huge for so many, confidence and belief in your journey helps
  • Erik
    Saturday morning watching videos :)
  • I've heard it described as carrying baggage ie before we even start the day we've got to pick up all our old baggage and carry it with us. If we could just mentally dump all the old baggage we would have a chance.
  • peterragg
NM is your ticket to financial and time freedom, it works. You will get a lot of mental wounds (as Eric says) on your journey. Do not, ever get deflected from your goals. Take total personsal resonsibility (its your life) for achieving this. The more I do this business the more I believe the conventional route is madness. Enjoy
Remember, "if it is to be it is up to me"

    Kind regards
    Peter Ragg
  • Jilliangene
So true!! They also try to discourage others by showing the wounds. "Don't do that company this is what happen to me" or the ever popular "they will only brainwash you and take your money". They can be so hard on you especially when you are new to network marketing and/or someone you look up too. That is why we need these kind of videos and people like you who keep telling us you can do it. Thank you all the "you can do it and this is how" people out there.
  • In some folks, like myself, healing takes a lot longer then it should. I will just have to get over it. Thanks for the insight Eric.
  • theuns
    Hi Eric

YES YES YES If people just can understand this it will go so mush better with Network marketers
I a gree 100% , Get the weeds out and start to grow again :-)
  • georgeman
I agree 100%, let's heal up from past experiences and get on with it. Great show Eric, I personally have had my upline leave the industry on me. I am amazed how a person can let go of such a business, and go about their day as if the three years spent in it were nothing. I have forgiven and almost completely forgotten.
  • Agneta Rebo
That´s a fact - we can´t change the past. The only thing we can do is to learn and move on.

Yeh! I fially got signed in.I went ahead & listened to this for a 2nd time. Weather it be phisical wounds or wounds such as you mentioned ,it's time to let them go,so we can move forward& we can talk to someone else rather than the ones that hurt you. An upline,(sideline)that will be able to help you move forward. To associate with like minded people, the ones who really want(or already have success)Talking to the others will just bring you down even more. You need to talk to the ones that will lift you up.
  • we've all been hurt in one way or another and on more occasions than 1. our ability to release those situations are key in moving forward...it can be difficult to get the mind past the rewind button but it can be done when we focus on our new purpose.
  • margarethockaday
you are your worst enemy, we beat ourselves up. Let go of past hurts and wrongs so that you can move on to what you have set yourself to do. Get around positive people or functions and heal thyself.
  • carolmcwilliams
Such an important topic. I know my psychic wounds around NM come when i think of a white board and someone drawing circles "opportunity meetings" Or someone being too persistent about the opportunity to make lots of money. My personal challenge to overcome is creating a team spirit, and atmosphere, as opposed to feeling like I want to do all the effort myself. I don't like depending upon others for my success, and NM is all about team building. As I grow into this business, I continually uncover new layers of blocks and fears that hold me back. This is really a transformation business about personal growth!
  • caronwashington
We are certainly full of mental wounds from past experiences. We need to use these experiences as learning curves and as part of the process for reaching our goals. Nothing of significance will be easy and without roadblocks and obstacles. We need to learn to wash off our past like we do with dirt everyday in the shower and prepare for the present
  • drpricedc
You can be a victim or you can be rich. You cant be both, their are now rich victims. Also my wife showed me a great quote...."to understand everything is to forgive everything!" If you have ever been wronged (in your mind) or been a victim of being mistreated (again in your mind) then understand that everything happens for a reason, learn the lesson so you dont have to experience it again.....and let it go, unplug you energy from it and move on!!!!
  • I must say, this is a great point. I was just thinking, the first 20 years of my life was formed by my parents, their thoughts, similar education, hurts, wins & losses, ways of thinking; we spend the next 20 learning to do it our way - AHHH... this leads to being able to build a wonderful business and help others to "find a better way"... Eric, thank you for being a part of my education, and creating a community that will assist all who seek a better way.
  • We are all full of Mental Wounds from our past experiences. They hold us back, keep us small and from being able to live the life we are created to live! We all must stop picking at out wounds and find some people who can help encourage us to let them heal. Thanks again Eric for helping us to heal many wounds with the great things you share.
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed

Disciplining our disappointment and the fundamental knowledge that we all deserve the best have been important parts of our learning curve.
  • We have to decide to how to react to every challenge and obstacle. Ours is a persistence-based industry. That is how we will succeed where others drop out. What Eric has done with this Vlog is to make us less dependent on what kind of upline we have with respect to the modeling of proper behavior and the proper mental approach to this business. Remember, fall forwards, not backwards. It's a LOT easier to pick yourself up that way.
  • Thanks Ephren. I love the fall forward idea! Thanks for sharing with us.
  • MattinJaxfl
If you do happen to fall backward just take the Les Brown approach. "If I fall down let me land on back because if I can look up I can get up!"
  • Interesting topic.
You know, sometimes, it helps to just do something for someone, regardless of how you feel. They may be hurting too and your smile may be just the thing they need to get them through.

I think the difference between a leader and a follower includes personal responsibility.
I think personal responsibility of a leader is to NOT have a victim mentality, NOT blaming others because they didn't meet you rexpectations, rather, accept the situation as "theirs".
Sure, I feel the disappointments, but I look down, take a deep breath, exhale and move on with my head held up high.
Hurt passes. Check it the message you're getting. If you own it, deal with it. You'll heal. If you don't own it, let it go.
Remember, also, your responsibility. It just may be that you need to clear / forgive someone in order to let it go and move forward.
  • I am totally with you Steve! Personal responsibility is at the core of what true leadership is. Thanks for sharing you thoughts with us.
  • lopazelasane
We cannot succeed in network marketing by taking rejections serious...most of the time its not us its because most people don't have a strong belief of doing anything BIG!
  • Foord Yates
    MLM is the RMP....
    RMP = Rejection Modification Pathway

If you can learn to channel the natural "bad feelings of being rejected" and direct them into a new pathway that ignites growth, then you're all set.

But then again, Oprah's still fat... so.... who knows.

  • jeffreyhall
Not true just for network marketing - maybe the bigger question/issue is how does it affect someones life over all and learning to let go. A real challenge for most people.
  • great message Eric! That can sometimes be the only thing holding a person back from success.
  • I totally agree with you Susan. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
  • racingworm
Past is past. You have to learn how to forgive and forget. Everyone has a past, but that's what it is, past. Move on and learn from it.
  • HoracioMejia
Great show, Eric! We could have a complete weekend show just discussing the wounds issue. A lot of us have these since childhood, and we are carrying them along our lives, thinking that we don't deserve success. Letting go is a process, and that is exactly one of the major benefits of Network Marketing. It puts you face to face with your wounds and you learn to let go.
  • alltheverybest
Wow! When you put it like that! How many times.... It is so true. We should all carry a mirror. And NOT so we can hold it for others to look at themselves! Thanks. Doesn't it ever get boring being so wise?
  • tambry
Great message - heal your mind by staying positive, overcoming you challenges any way you can. And look for ways to make it happen.
  • Paco_Carreno
By the way, I encourage you to take a plane and come to San Francisco to join us in the Live Event "How to become a Network Marketing Professional"... Eric, I just can't wait! Thank you very much!
  • Paco_Carreno
Wow! Love when you put examples... "people who go right to you saying - I'm gonna do it - and then quit" (that's empathy). It's obvious that you have paid the price... that are the examples that connects, not easy talks...

Body is just magic... the process of healing... every single day our body get overattacked with toxins, poor-nutrient-rich-additives-food, polution... BUT it regenerate quite well (we should pay a little more attention and love our body a little bit more... but that's another issue). Is a great opportunity to identify things that need to be fixed in our beliefs data base and fix them... Let's do it, let's heal our mind and we'll even notice it at a physical level in our body.

Hey stuff happens... and not only in our industry.
Stuff happens....it's part of the fullness of life.
I believe there is one very simple way to get through any of the stuff for any quarter.....
    Know your outcome
Know clearly where you intend to get to in every avenue of your life.
And when the stuff comes.....the mind stuff, that wants to grab you and pull you down.
STOP...... catch your thoughts.... and change them.
    To your dreams and aspirations.
Your mind can only hold one thought in the moment......
just replace the bad with good thoughts.
Ah Eric, you got me started.... I hope that helps

    How you think affects everything.
Everything you do, every result and experience, starts in your head.
If you're in a building just now, it was first created in someone's head - all designs and systems.

Change the way you think - get over yourself.

Great point and a good reminder to keeep your mind off of what we don't want in our lives. Just made me think of a Henry Ford quote: "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, either way you are right." Have a great weekend everybody!

Such a great NMPro episode. The road you travel on your journey for your dream life will never be perfectly straight. There will be kinks and bends and storms you will have to weather & navigate. But the sun will always come out again to shine upon you. Everyone has trials and tribulations. Learn from them and fine tune from that point on.

Hi Eric, while you are going to controversial topics now: a lot of discussion is going on about which plans are better:the traditional stairstep-breakaway or the newer binaries..
Do all concepts you talk about apply to both plans? Which are the advantages or disadvantages of these plans? Is the one easier the other? Is it even worthwile to talk about this? I hope you can ever do a show about this (if this wouldn't be controversial nothing else would:)!

Any contribution from the community on this topic is of course also greatly appreciated!
  • Episode 31 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Thow Down Challenge:

Eric, Great Episode! and Timely.. It is AMAZING how much better my posture is when I don't let my past failures linger and affect what i am doing today. MY business is morphing and becoming stronger and as a result the quality of the people I'm talking to is getting better.

    Thanks for the reminder.
  • What's really important is to remember to focus on what's important to you and how you want to feel. No one can make you feel a certain way unless you give them permission first. We always have a choice.
  • This in my book is business maturity. Every one creates his/her own reality. What others are doing to you is not personal they just are the way you are. What you do to yourself show the way you are. Know what you want and go get it, don't justify lack of results or what others are doing, only keep track of what are you doing to you and your biz.

    With appreciation,
    Alex Tita

You have to let it go.
  • One of my favorite personal quotes - "Don't run over your future because you're too busy looking at your past in the rear view mirror."

I suggest that everyone read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - phenomenal book that helps you let go of your past 'damage' (i.e. stop picking) and start living in the present as you build a bright future. Life-changing book for me ...

    Best to you,

Don't pick at emotional wounds. Let them heal-up & move on - It's a choice....
  • TAbrams
The example you gave is so on the money. When something bad happens or someone believes something has been done to them, or they have not had success, there always has to be an excuse. So often I see this as many play the victim and then try and justify it. We all have the same choices, and it is up to us. Complaining and quitting never got anyone anywhere. In your example of your skin being ripped off, it has healed and it grew back stronger, tougher with the new layers. If we get knocked down, our feelings hurt, XYZ happened, it can ALL be dealt with. It is just a matter of being up to YOU and how you deal with it.

As with Eric's wound, time helped heal it and in our business as you grow and continue positive activity time is a good thing.

Everything that happens within your business is up to you. Control and develop what is between your two ears and teach others to do the same.
  • i will ponder on this one and comeback with a comment. cool topic.

Another great message thanks Eric, so very true with all area's off people's lives
  • BetterCoffee.dk
Well, you are right again Eric.
Only thing to say is the same as we tell our kids when they fall down. Up again and off you go!

It's hard sometimes and even when we tell ourselves that we put bad things behind us and remember the good stuff we still haul around the tough memories like luggage.

I see my own behavior as an example. Even though people who know me characterize me as a tough guy who will go do whatever it takes etc etc, I still shy away from the phone when I'm supposed to make cold calls to customer prospects. I still sometimes make up my mind that there's no reason to call that old, successful school friend because my business is probably not for him anyway. I think that even though I always tell everyone else not to prejudge!
I'm also afraid that people will think I'm looney if I approach with some information just because I got a good impression of them in a brief encounter. (Waiters, gas station attendants etc.)

If I had no luggage I wouldn't experience those things.
I try to work on these things every day, but they are still there!
Those memories are powerful, so you just gotta keep working on it.

    Chipping away!
  • It does seem to be human nature with some having a much harder time with wound picking than others. I'm glad you brought it to light in this manner so we can help others heal.
  • Amen, Thanks for the message. It is a choice and we have the ability. From here just do it and treat others the way you want to be treated. It will then be up to them - their choice.
  • bartonmurray
rise above it and get it going....let it heal.
  • We need to stay focused no matter what obstacles and "injuries" we face. We have to remember that while we cannot control the actions of others, we can control our own.
  • Wow, that is a brilliant concept Eric!
By picking at our wounds, we don't allow them to heal.
If we pick at our mental wounds (focus on it, think about it, replay it in our minds), then they won't heal either.
Only when we LET GO and DON'T TOUCH IT does the Universe do it's magic and heal us.
    Absolutely awesome Eric!!

I love how Eric comes up with everyday situations and applies them to Network Marketing. Genius.
  • Great subject and one of the most common reasons quit on themselves.

The answer is to get around positive people and read/listen to books/cds. We are what we put in are minds and so we need to counteract the negative thoughts with positive as this will help us let go of the negatives quicker.
  • Katie N
Always so many topics to explore. This was a good one. We need to be kinder to ourselves.Rejection and disappointment can do a number on us.

Reliving bad situations will not help. Heal your mind by reading and listening to motivational books and audio. By doing this, your mind becomes stronger. Also start looking for ways that will work for you in network marketing and be willing to be coach-able.
  • Psychic healing needs daily motivation. Reading the books and mixing with the right kind of people. "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily." - Zig Ziglar

  • "Mental wounds" great analogy! A surefire way to heal these is to surround our self with people who keep us challenged to grow, develop and reach new heights. Join a Mastermind group with people who raise us up. Keep reading self development books, listen to cd's, attend seminars, this is a continuing process. Get out of our comfort zone and keep moving to our vision. Make sure that vision is clear and on purpose.
  • I've got pretty good at letting go of past negative experiences after reading Stephen Covey in particular but it takes a while and you need to internalise a couple of key points:

    1. Don't empower other people's weakeness by allowing their bad behaviour to affect your happiness or goals;

    2. There is a space between stimulus and response - what you do with that space determines your happiness and success - ie you have the power to choose how to respond or not respond.

I love that line in the assassin where the gorgeous bridgit fonda is told how to overcome some of her psychic scars by her charmingly ruthless lady mentor. She advises her whenever provoked to repeat "I never DID mind about the little things" and smile.

Last weekend I was at a conference with my friend Kevin Green (property millionaire) and he showed us a fun daily affirmation to do in the mirror each morning whilst repeating:

"If I wasn't me, I'd SOOOOO want to be me!"

Move on, move up, take charge of your destiny.

  • This is one of the most critical issues that leaders need deal with. I guess one difficulty with mental or psychic wounds is you can't see the blood! Let Go! Do you want to be right or happy?

As leaders we also need training on how to help our tribe heal heal and develop.

How do we help to heal the wounds of potential new team members?

A very good topic today, Eric. This one could be explored for several shows. These mental wounds that we carry around, man, they are hard to heal sometimes.
  • janetrajala
You really point out that it is a conscious choice to let go of MLM hurts and not wallow in it. Positive attitude really helps here and of course, personal development. Thanks again for the lessions in growth with MLM.
  • eddyoshaughnessy
I think it all comes back to personal development - network marketing is personal development disguised as a business
  • hlj521
Thank you Eric. Great reminder to not sit around soaking in our hurts when there are more than enough reasons to go out and LIVE LIFE and let it go....there will always be hurt but there is also always pleasure. We have to choose how we are going to carry ourselves and if we let things bounce off of us like a rubber band it will be easier to breeze by the naysayers and get to the promised land!
  • eabus
Short and concise but what a heckuva message.
Yes, it hit home in a big way. I am the type who goes back and kept on picking on it.
Need to get out of my safety corner after someone "ofended me" with rejection.
    Thanks
  • Dee_Canada
    Hi Eric,

It's so true what you say that often we won't let go. And to add to that point, you did a vidoe about how far we have to go as a profession to change the perception others have of networking...the general populace often won't let go of their one experience with an overzealous, desperate, amateur networker. On my ride to the hotel I am at for a conference, I chuckled at the fellow in the back of the shuttle regaling his friends with his experience of being hounded by a netowrk marketer. He said the fellow was from a certain company..."you know, of those pryamid schemes", he said. Yep....we have to heal our own minds...and then the world!! GO PRO!!!! :0)
  • Great show. I wish i can have everyone on my team watch this! Some do but its the ones that need this the most that never even watch!

We appreciate you and all that you do for us! Thank you.
  • alltheverybest
So true - It's like the fact that the people who need the functions most are the ones that never get there! LOL...
  • rmonte
When we play the blame game we are the first ones to lose. Success will not come without adversity. Lets be proud of our battle scars. It makes the prize that much sweeter. Great message Eric.

Thats the price to pay, overcome the sad or ugly things of the MLM, you can say "The rose has ugly thorns, or look what a beautiful rose, despite the thorns". We cant spect all the wonderful life style or check without paying the price

    Have a great weekend.

    1) its taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get to 100!!! 2) today message was great. If people treated their emotional pain like they treat their physical pain they'd get over things much quicker and MOVE ON. This lesson has SOOOO many practical applications to it I could write a novel here... :) keep rocking Eric.
  • A great friend once told me this "Be a duck". Let it go, like water off a ducks back.
  • CarlosVera
Great message.......Let your wounds heal but learn from them. Like that old Poison's song back in the late 80's......."like the knife that cuts you the wound heals, but the scar remaaaaains..............". Let the scars remind you of the things you learned from the wounds.............
  • gloriavintila
Our conservation instinct makes us naturally heal the wounds we have. However, you are right Eric, we make so much fuss about these wounds, in our tendency to look for excuses.
  • carolbarrett
So true Eric--we need to stop picking at our mental wounds. Letting go of our "mental pain" can be one of the hardest things to do. We need to focus on personal development on a daily basis so that we don't get emotionally attached to the negative vibes out there in the world.
  • Great video Eric! Going through rejection, people laughing at you, people saying no to you, etc. Is probably the most difficult things to overcome when becoming a Network Marketing professional. That it is why it's SO IMPORTANT to invest in personal development and remember your "WHY"(What hurts you).
  • kgoren
You can heal your own mind. Let it go and move on to better pastures.
  • gmeyerson
Lots of times people are looking for excuses to give up, so one negative comment scares and they give up before the miracle happens
  • Bjorgli
That's so important in all aspects of life.
Being among positive people and surroundings, and let go of what's negative.
  • rasdaniels
Wonderful message - letting go of mental wounds.
  • Miguel Cortez
A large percent of people wish not to change..... intil they have to .... and then they are to comfortable to want to change...... that the way they will tell there story.....
  • ulla99
Let i go! Do not let circumstances destroy your life.
  • yuvalcohen
    Thanks Eric
, it just a huge Message
  • Vange01
Eric, you're right sometimes I let the psychic damage control my thoughts rather than let it heal, learn and move on. Thanks
  • coltsco
Great analogy and lesson for business, relationships and all of life.
  • dstfa96
Eric you are sooo right. There are a lot of peeople that are holding on to past wounds and that is preventing them from progressing forward and achieving success. In our profession we need to let go of all negative situations and do our best to maintain all the positive experiences. This way we will continue to strive for excellence and we will ultimately achieve success.

Thanks Eric. This message came, as so many, at a good moment for me. I JUST LOVE NETWORK MARKETING PRO ! - God bless you !!
  • This IS a great topic. Network Marketing is about helping people out of their circumstances. We listen to the pity party people and the 'horror stories' and provide a kind of life this kind of unease. If there is a solid relationship in place, requesting someone 'let it go' is possible. It may not be possible for them however to honor the request.

I meet many new people every day and just noticed I have a different 'listening' for these kinds of lamentations on the first contact ... I am willing to ignore it ... [I am now thinking it may be a qualification killer] I will attempt a different approach over the next couple weeks and see.
  • chriskemp817
I agree Eric. The most critical aspect of building your Network Marketing business is maintaining control of your mind. Keeping your emotions in check. Avoiding feelings of despair and resentment. I've been taught that each day you should spend a minimum of one hour reading motivational material. Your mind is just like a muscle. If you exercise it daily you will get stronger and be able to avoid disappointments and persevere.
  • Nancy Eldred
Very True, well said ... and thank you
  • It's your choice! If you are wounded, it is ONLY YOU who is suffering! The people who hurt you aren't losing any sleep over it. What a great time for personal growth. Again, YOU CAN'T PAY FOR THERAPY LIKE THIS! Life will always give you what you need at the right moment. All you have to do is be open to it!
  • daddykekere
all i can say is ...wow,wow,wow.This one Eric was right on target. thanks
  • Kjell Englund
"Always look on the bright side of life"
  • Eric, it will... Is a stone cold fact that time heals. There will be a time comes where they just connect with someone who just say something or do something that just open up their mind and BINGO!
  • gillym1
Yes - no good to nurse the wounds - let them go and they will heal much faster! You cannot tar everyone with the same brush because ultimately you will be doing someone a disservice!
  • Denise Cox
uuughhh! that's a good one eric. so true. i just kept thinking of people on my team and what wounds they are still picking at, then i started thinking about me and i got a yucky feeling in my whole body. been picking a little myself. got to let it heal already! thx eric!
  • Eric, incredible message!! Personal development is everything!!
  • Eric, Another great topic. Having to feel to heal is hard. I think you have to look at the reality of the situation and than let it go. All that we go through is so we can grow through. "We must all wage an intense, lifelong battle against the constant downward pull. If we relax, the bugs and the weeds of negativity will move into the garden and take away everything of value." Jim Rohn
  • mspaulamc
Eric, YOU really do "get it" don't you? Thanks ... this was perfect for this moment in this day ...
  • nikigombis
How true. If it doesn't help. why keep it?
  • wouterdeprez
    great lesson for me, thx!
  • dougharkins
Great tool; at the right moment!
  • ybimbalanced
That is a topic I LOVE to see addressed, thank you! So many people like to hold onto their "wounds" and all that does is hold us back. Thanks for putting this in an easy to remember way.
  • soxfan071
Hanging on to something negative can surely slow you down or drive you out of NM business. Let Go-Let God!
  • That would be awesome..only in a perfect world, right. :)
We do have the ability to heal our minds.
May I recommend Wayne Dyer's Excuses Be Gone series and his book Change Your Thoughts, Change Your LIfe. They are absolutely awesome. The memes are little mental viruses that take away our life from us. But, the good news is...we do have a choice.
  • mariasiro
Thanks eric, thats the way it has to be....
  • eugenejohnson
This is something that applies to life not only business ...great message
  • You have to pick yourself up and persist. I'm always amazed at people that just quit at the first sign of resistance. It makes me wonder how they function in the world.
  • I think the problem a lot of people face but don't admit, and what makes change so challenging, is that changing, growing, improving one's self, means that something was wrong to begin with. And what's a bigger uphill battle is that if we change now then we have to accept that maybe, just maybe, we could have changed before. No one wants to face the fact that we could have had a much better life, relationship, job, if we made the change sooner. So we don't...
  • mspaulamc
    Hear, hear ..
  • It's peculiar how you can get almost anyone to commiserate with you when it's a lot more fun to celebrate!

One of my earliest mentor told me "When you're up... call down, when you're down... call up!"

I live by those words :)
  • Erik
Yes that would be great, Yes people must let it go :) Only yourself can set the sails for your better future. Have a great weekend everyone :)
  • fc34615
Another reason why Personal development is pivotal to our success.
  • Get over it!!!!
  • Your wounds are what help you move forward. The more wounds you have the quicker you will grow and build a big downline. You have to put yourself out there.

People tell me I am crazy all the time. Does not bother me anymore. The wounds get smaller and smaller as you build and grow as a person.

Now able to enjoy a 6 figure income. Way cool!
  • If people apply this, it could be a major defining moment for them. In reality, this has to be apart of our philosophies because this is just a part of human interaction. Great lesson!!
  • Masters of the mind let it go.
  • brigittapatel
I love the comparison you drew from healing your body to healing your mind. It can be as simple as that, just stop picking at it.....

    Thanks a million
  • Let it go......move on..
  • billrogers
Natural reaction for the majority is to put the blame somewhere else. That is why personal development and accepting responsiblity is so critical to our continued growth.
  • kristibateman
Awesome Eric. That really touched home.
  • Great advice! I've had a habit of beating myself up at the drop of a hat...I'm learning that this is not the best way to be. Keep moving, keep growing, keep ON! Thanks Eric.
