One person can make an amazing difference worldwide. It's having that unique ability of catching on and hopefully others seeing your message - gettting it and applying it to their life. The world is our stage - get out on to it and inspire others by how you carry yourself and lead your life.
  • aliceflanders
One person? Oprah, Gandhi, Martin Luther King? Hitler? How much of a difference can I make? Don't know, haven't finished tallying it up yet.
  • Its more important to work on leaving a legacy, than just living life. It can make such a positive impact on people.
  • heatherbrocklehurst
    Love Denis Waitley as well!
  • wealthandriches
Love Dennis too! He is an amazing man within his own right.
"Time it greater than money, because you can always get more money, but you can't get more time."
I love that saying of Jim's.
  • GREAT Tribute....funny. I wish I would have been introduced to Jim's work earlier in my life. Glad we have his work to learn from forever.....Now that's a Legacy!
  • yitz613
Dennis Waitley one of the best, on Jim Rohn his mentor, powerful.
  • Susan Johannesson
So true, our time is most valuable!
  • Would EGO be the real devil inside us all? Overcome your EGO and goodness will flow.
  • So much said in so little time....
  • classy70sgirl
So many little golden nuggets of wisdom in this episode.
    Thank you Eric!
  • AdvocareJax
That was a valuable reminder of how important time is and why I have chosen this business as my vehicle to live life on my terms.
  • John Boyd
A Great Tribute to a Great Man.....
  • Jim Rohn introduced the theory, "Pay it forward."
  • Dylan Cooper
Greatly missed but his legacy will live on. A bit of Jim will be in all of us who care to listen to his teachings.
  • beautiful words and well put

What a profound effect one man had on so many people. A true role model for our profession.
  • quintaser
I think that if not the must valuable benefit of NMPro to me, has been to know Jim Rohn. What a Guy!!.
God has the greatest speaker, working full time, in heaven.

FromPuebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana, MLM Pro.
  • Jose Lopez
"Being honestly interested in other people, not in you" ... that defines the man. You can stop listening to Jim material. It's endless!!
  • jbledsoejr
I love what he said about not needing to be on Oprah...I was reading something today by Thomas Stanley and he talked about how the true wealthy would rather be known and respected by their peers, mentioned in trade journals, industry magazines, etc...than to be featured in Wall Street Journal and publications like that. It sounds like Jim Rohn was cut from that mold. Thanks Eric!
  • kamalharris
This was good. It's Obvious that Jim Rohn has effected the lives of millions of people across the globe.
  • ViktoriaGuerin
It is impressive, that is true.
  • what an impressive testimonial........... wow
    ~
  • cherisizzles
All of these amazing people in one room. WOW. Speaking of the quality of life, and people, and being authentic. Talk about leaving a legacy! Jim Rohn is an amazing person whom we can all strive to emulate.
  • raybeattie
The quality of life and serving others, what a legacy.
  • Damijan81
To hear other people of Dr Waitley's legendary status talk about Jim Rohn and hold him in such a high position show the quality of the man Jim Rohn
  • Cindy Dower
    The real thing...how true.
  • timandtrcia
This was a great segment. The idea of Standard of Living vs. Quality of Life is one of those life changing concepts. Thanks for making that moment possible.
  • Pepeneto
"It´s only when you share the knowledge and re employ the money than either of them mean anything". Great...
  • Inger
Being for real, walk the talk... I'm proud to follow his example!
  • Vonnita2010
Wow, Jim Rohn, IT ISN'T ABOUT MONEY AND IT ISN'T ABOUT YOU, IT IS ABOUT QUALITY LIFE AND ABOUT OTHERS!! QUALITY LIFE IS HOW YOU SPEND YOUR TIME, AND HOW YOU SPEND YOUR TIME WITH OTHER, BEING AUTHENTIC, TRANSPARENT, THE REAL THING IS WHAT SELLS THE MOST!! JIM ROHN NEVER LEFT A LEGACY, HE IS LIVING IT THROUGH THOSE THAT ARE TEACHING HIS TEACHINGS, THROUGH THOSE HEARTS AND LIVES HE TOUCHED AND LIVES THROUGH THEM! HE IS NOT GONE, HE WILL BE INMORTAL. SO YOU ASK, CAN A PERSON MAKE A DIFFERENCE???? INDEED... CAN I MAKE A DIFFERENCE?? YES SIR, WE ALL CAN, IF WE START LIVING JIM'S PHILOSOPHY... THINK OF OTHERS AND NOT YOURSELF, LIVE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO LIVE AND LOVE IT, AND NOT FOR THE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE OR THE PEOPLE YOU WILL IMPRESS, JIM WAS A MAN THAT WAS NOT AFRAID TO GIVE HIMSELF, AN WHO EVER SAW HIM AND LIKED HIM GREAT, AND WHOM EVER DIDN'T, WELL IT NEVER MATTERED. AMAZING.
  • Ngoc Tran
I have never known Jim Rohn until I read Eric’s notes on FB. A special feeling on what Eric wrote made me try to know who Jim Rohn is. Since that day, I got to know him just via internet and just for a short time before his death. I so love and admire Jim Rohn’s philosophy. I always remember his saying “Let other… but not you”. And today, thank to Dr. Denis, I know another precious point about the difference between quality of life and standard of living - time. Yes, I have to be wise with my time to create my legacy.
  • Time is more important than money....you cant make more time-you can make more money......time is an equal opportuniy employer......great words
  • seija
The quality of life is the way you spend your time
  • KeithN
Time is an equal opportunity employer. You can't save it or make more of it. Jim Rohn used his time well, and his authenticity inspired countless people to strive for and reach greatness.
  • JenniferDu79
Quality of Life vs Standard of Living. Just goes to show you it isn't about the money. This business will help you have quality of life because it will enable you to be there for you family and children when they need you most. I never want to have to say to my son "I'm sorry honey but Mommy has to go to work".
  • lynnhall
Jim Rohn's books sound interesting, have to read some.
  • lynnhall
Jim Rohn's books sound interesting, have to read some.
  • Shovers
Wow! Quality of Life vs Standard of Living. This hits home. My husband of 20+ years and I are battling this biggest battle of our otherwise compatible marrige over this one. Thanks for the insight! I still hear Jim Rohn and his pronunciation of Life-style.
  • :D funny speech :D
  • jeanalbert
Speak with authenticity, transparency, and humility. Time is an equal opportunity employer. Lastly, focus on the quality of your life and how you spend your time, not your standard of living.
  • jlt0wn
authenticity . . . well spoken. thank you.
  • Foord Yates
... Had to come back and watch this again.... amazzzzing. Cried.

    Foord Yates.

  • feltricks
What a great lesson, not only making the difference onstage but making the difference as a man.
Jim really was a truly mentor, but also a great man.
Thank you Mr. Rohn you will always be one of my five people who I spend the most of my time.
    Thank you Eric.
    God bless you.
  • Jim Rohn sure had/has a way of making you feel your best. I would like to have some of that for folks!
  • Denis, your words were spoken like a true dear friend.
  • pech
My personal goal is to help as many people as possible to achieve what they want. Not what I want them to achieve.
  • Lorraine
Thank you for sharing with us the ability to be a part of the event. Jim Rohn was a man of integrity and left a legacy.
  • highimpact0406
Was refreshing to see Denis Waitley. I have some cassette tapes from him, from back in the mid 80's. He is really an inspirational speaker and was nice to hear some of his thoughts. Thanks.
  • amberaimshigh
Share! thats what our industry is about!
  • It is only when you share your wisdom......I like that and that is a major thing in NWM. I will do my best to learn from the best, and share that with my team, without being a teacher. I will try to make them also learn from the best....
  • The power of a Legacy can leave an unbelievable Mark on a person depending on what they provided to others.
  • bethascoli
Knowledge doesn't mean anything unless you share it - I really like that! Thank you Eric for sharing yours :)
  • SJ Doug
    Thanks Jim Rohn,
  • Dr. Denis as a server in Congress ... or Spiderman's uncle ... too funny! Nice to see humility from highly successful people.

Great insights on Time .... just like Money, there is no evidence of its existence when squandered.

    Best,
    Scott
  • shawncyr
I hope that I can leave a great legacy. By that I mean that I will be remembered and even known now as a caring and sharing individual that always went for broke and lived life to the fullest without giving up and with no regrets.
What is more, I hope that I can help others to see and do the same.
  • Jim emphasized the quality of life over the standard of life. What a difference our lives and the world would be if everyone thought and lived like that
  • Robbin
    That was nice. I like..
Quality of Life is how you spend your time.
  • alltheverybest
Jim Rohn was indeed the 'Real Thing'
  • orlyalbo
    Share the knowledge
Tell the people all the good things you learned from others. This is my life concept!
  • gkamlm
Greatest business philosopher of our time, per Earl Nightingale.
  • It comes down to authenticity and walk down the talk.
Jim was a living example and an inspirational source.

    Thanks for sharing Eric.

    NOTES:
    Authenticity
Time is the only equal opportunity employer
The greatest business philosopher of our time
  • if one commits to changing themselves, one person is all it takes.
  • CarlosVera
Time is more important than money because you can get more money but you can't get more time.........Another great phrase........What we do with our time when sharing our knowledge and experience can really make a great difference.........
  • Lotta
He was a great man. I have lots to learn from him.
  • Agneta Rebo
If I can teach how to duplicate - wow
  • DianaValdez
Time is an equal opportunity. Huge!
  • Ellis3
Whoa! I have never gotten a chance to her Dr. Waitley speak but this was inspiring. Will read up on Dr. Waitley really soon.
  • Arnold Thompson
The last thing I want to be is an expensive imitation. I strive each day to walk the walk personally, spiritually, and professionally.
  • If we believe in duplication, we know the difference that one person can make: Huge and at infinitum!
  • luigijr
time is the only equal opportunity employer time is irreplaceable its the most important thing its so incredible to be there without being there thanks eric awesome speech by Mr waitley
  • Carlos Perez
We need to live with a sense of living with a purpose, quality of live, not just living.

Quality vs Standard Living; big words... really put my mind working!!
  • socorro
    thank you Eric, great information
  • jerryscribner
Excellent. We should all aspire to be the professional Jim Rohn was.
  • peterragg
    Another nuggett, spot on again.

Do not be afraid to ask, the worst they can say is no, without the thank you on the end. They are not going to kill you and you will probably never see them again. If you have a brilliant opportunity etc etc which they have just turned down, well more fool them. Move onto the next person on your list with confidence. Remember you need people to say no, because your ratio will contain a percentage of nos. Check out Jim Rohns CD on this called "Building your Network Marketing business". And if you are not getting nos then you are not asking enough people.
    Regards
    Peter Ragg
  • Steve_Nelson
I will never stop listening to Jim Rohn's words. I hope for them to become so much a part of who I become that my children will be better if because of it.
  • Bryan_in_KC
So much impact in his words, especially the difference between a standard of living and a quality of life.
  • daddykekere
am especially thankful for the standard of living vs quality of life explanation. Thanks Eric.
  • gloriavintila
Amazing how people like Jim Rohn create joy, positiveness and happiness among enthusiastic crowds even after their death. Dr. Denis Waitley's audience is vibrating with positiveness!
  • marvalouslife1
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to "be there".
you know, i'm listening to Jim Rohn discs and i'm crying over him.
    what a great lose.

    Ron Ackerman - Israel
  • Interesting- "He's not leaving a legacy, he's living a Legacy."
I'm not sure, but I get the impression that he didn't "keep score" on how much a difference he made.

It has been said that six motivating needs include desires for: certainty, variability, significance, connection, growth and/or contribution. I suppose that all can make a difference as these needs are extended to others instead of centering on ones' self.

For me, I believe that we all make a difference when our focus is beyond ourselves. How much of a difference is for the others to say.
  • carolmcwilliams
What strikes me about Denis tribute to Jim is how he emphasized his authenticity as his gift that drew so many people to him for wisdom. not pretentious and out there selling but rather drawing people to him by his incredible insights on how to live well. Beautiful message to take to heart as I carve out to become a better me.
  • coltsco
Thank you for sharing Dr. Waitley's wonderful tribute to an awesome man and mentor to us all.

Inspiring. I have not read Jim's books, but obviously I need to.
  • tambry
Denis Waitley is a huge mentor in my NWM company. Thanks for letting up hear what he had to say about Jim.
  • Thank you, Eric, for sharing these tributes to Jim. Just hearing the pearls from Denis and Les reminds me of the great profession we are all in and the wonderful people we have as teachers and mentors.
  • Donna Wheaton
A legacy is what is grows from it when your no longer here.
  • JudasPierce
Jim was one of the best.
  • brianhepner
I love how he gave the nod to Jim's speaking style and emulated it at the service. Great Tribute.
  • susanclark
#243 - Dr. Denis Waitley - I loved the way he talked about the difference between standard of living and quality of life. Jim Rohn lived his legacy did not just leave one. Gave me a lot of food for thought. Thank you Eric.
  • talya_mitzafon
THANK YOU ERIC FOR SHARING WITH US THE MEMORIAL OF GREAT JIM ROHN.
IF A MAN FULLFILS HIS DESTINY HE LIVE A LIFE OF SIGNIFICANCE AND CONTRIBUTE SO MUCH TO THE WORLD.
  • peterragg
Forgot to mention, Eric you are also are becoming a (minor) legend, why do i say this. It is because you passionately believe that NM is a brilliant business opportunity for people and that we (all of us) have to fundamentally raise the profile of this profession because of the misconceptions people have about it. I am sure most of us agree with you otherwise we would not be tuning into your website every day.

The ball is in our court guys, we have to walk the talk.

We have read the books, listened to the CDs, been to the seminars, have we not, it is therefore now our responsibility (to this profession) that we follow you and make sure this industry goes mainstream.

If we mess up this incredible opportunity then NM will continue on the fringes and we will have nobody to blame other than ourselves.

    Regards
    Peter Ragg
  • Jay VanNostrand
Awesome value day after day Eric...thanks for sharing Denis and his memories of Jim!
  • hcapcarp
What a standard to aim and adhere to both Jim Rohn and Denis Waitley
  • peterragg
NM is a people business, real people. People like Jim Rohn a person totally respected and loved by his peers. A legend in his own lifetime, what an aspiration to all of us.

    Very kind regards
    Peter Ragg
  • "Jim Rohn was the real thing" ~ Dr Denis Waitley <-- I agree
  • julie67
I hope I will remembered with such kind words. We need more Jim Rohn's.
  • smreed
Love Denis...he is one of the people that has added to my own personal development. When I met him a couple years ago, his love of people really showed. The rest of that day I felt great for the experience and conversation I had with him.

One person can make a huge difference! I remember one of Eric's previous posts when he was jet skiing and the water was completely still but when he began to ride it started rippling. It rippled completely to the other side of the lake. That is the impact we can make in the lives of people by constantly being in motion with making a difference.
  • mrmauriocrawford
Dennis is great. Warm delivery. The atmosphere of that room must've been seriously charged with so many truly awesome people there.
  • theuns
Thanks again and again i love Denis as i love Jim they can almost be brothers
  • jean_albert
Smooth, Denis Waitley is one of my favorite speakers going back to 1980's, very insightful in putting incidents of our life in perspective of our greatness. Denis is another fruit of the seeds planted by Jim Rohn.
  • jpmendoza
Share your knowledge with others, help others, keep you sight outward, not inward.
  • Live a Legacy, as always good stuff
  • I've tried commenting on this four times now since yesterday. ::test::
  • success! Lots of lessons to learn when you merely observe.
  • Darnell
This is beautiful to watch!! Having the proper viewpoint on money and success and giving and sharing. The importance of planting seeds and knowing some won't take root and the power of word of mouth. Hearing Mr. Waitley share his experience with Mr. Rohn is priceless. Thanks for allowing us a moment in time to witness the impact Mr. Rohn's life has meant to the ones he walked on the planet with. Looking 4ward to the next video!!
  • jacob stiner
Hey Eric wonderful to hear the speakers in memory of Gim Ron
  • fc34615
Thanks Eric. This is highly motivational.
  • tommycone
#243 - It is great to think you should live your Legacy not leave it.
  • Luis (Pelon)
I've just started the transformation within me, and hope to make a difference. I'm sure I will shine and be remembered for good things not for bad ones.
  • The true value is only gained by shareing what you have learned and using the money your have gained in a worthwhile way to benefit others. Jim Rohn is still living his legacy and I am so thankful to have shared Denis's trubute. Thank you Eric.
  • Jim Rohn was the best speaker I've ever herd, not one of the best the best
I have one of his CD's in my CD changer it's been in ther for 3 years and I still listen to it at least once a week
  • I've never herd of Denis Waitley he is a good speaker
I think a sense of humor is one of the most important traits to have
  • Some persons in the world do mean a lot in others life. This man honours Mr Jim Rohn. Mr Eric Worre is one of the most wonderful persons I've ever met, and I'm so thankful to have him as my mentor as Mr Jim Rohn was his. From the bottum of my heart...I love you my friend, take care. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • tonylogue
Authenticity...transparency...humility. What a great legacy. What a great man. So glad so much of what he has taught has been recorded for posterity.

    Thanks Eric.
  • karenandian
We can always generate more money, however once time is gone it is gone. We must use the time we have wisely to make a positive and rewarding impact on the lives we touch.
  • Dee_Canada
We cannot invent more time....I must use it to improve the quality of my life and the lives I touch.
  • drmikempa
It's great to see how many greats were impacted by one man's life.
  • Another great video - thank you for sharing. It's wonderful to see the leaders who were so inspired by Jim Rohn.
  • Maxwellhealth
"Quality of Life vs. Standard of Living".....a great quote to incorporate daily in my business building...and as Jim whould always say...you're going to want to write this down :-)
  • ronaldvandomburg
it's a pity my english is not that good, so it's difficult to follow the speakers and to understand their jokes and stories. what I like, is that they don't offer 'lists', but they tell stories.
time is more important than money...
Q of life is the way you spend your time, with who and in what environment.
Dennis Waitley is a very good storyteller, i like to listen to him!
  • mbryant
Time is more valuable than money.
  • "Time is more important then money, because you can get more money, but not more time" - I love it !!!
  • BetterCoffee.dk
It's like this: A millionaire in NM is someone who has a million friends.

I didn't coin that! But I remembered it the first time I heard it, because it's a groundstone on which to build a life and a career.

If you go through life doing good by those you meet you will have a good life.
If you do the same in business you can build wealth!

I for one try to do just that.

Never be cheap, never be petty. Care for others and be genuinely interested in other people.
  • bryantkeefe
"What good is learning if you don't share" and "Scientists are not inventing more minutes". Nice reminders to get into action and to get out of myself.
  • Record Everything you do - that's hard but golden!
Leave a living legacy in and through people.
Don't be a shouter and a touter - be authentic, transparent, giving and a friend. Become attractive.
Share the wisdom and act on what you learn - don't keep it within you.

Again - never heard of Denis but I'll add him to my list.

I was thinking a lot during my trip home from SF about the 4 roles of leadership:

    - Modelling
    - Pathfinding
    - Aligning
    - Empowering

and how they apply to growing a network in a new market. If you aren't familiar with these, you might like to read: "The 8th Habit - from effectiveness to greatness" by Stephen R Covey.

In this book Dr Covey talks about the 4 master goals:

    - To Live
    - To Love
    - To Learn and
    - To Leave a Legacy

These derive from the 4 parts of human nature:

    Mental (Mind)
    Physical (Body)
    Emotional (Heart)
    Spiritual (Spirit)

and apply to an individual, a job and an organization. If they aren't all in balance the whole is significantly less than the sum of the parts.

Dr Covey advises all of us to develop daily disciplines to build and maintain in each of these areas through the habit of "Sharpen the Saw".

A lot of Dr Covey's material will help everyone here to clarify their goals and live a balanced life. Randy Schroeder mentioned the other week that he has an alarm set on his computer for noon everyday that closes his screen down and prompts him to spend a few minutes re-focusing on his goals and restoring the balance - he's pretty sharp so I reckon there's a habit worth forming! :-)

Perhaps the key thing here is the realisation that many of our great influencers are simply passing on timeless messages through the generations (albeit with their own personalisation and slant basedon their life experiences). There's nothing new under the sun but we need more messengers to get the word out. I am happy to be one of them.
  • Hi, It almost makes you feel ashamed of who you are when you hear about The Man.

"The Greatest Business Philosopher of our Time" who lived his legacy.

My other lesson from this was share knowledge and re-employ money.
  • tomlacey
Certainly a high revered man. Style =substance. It seems that Mr Rohn was made of significant substance.
  • soxfan071
Great stuff! Staying tuned in to catch the rest. Thank you
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
I am recording everything I do.
When I deliver against my goals I will look back on these insights and the learning I have gained.
I am not, individually, too far off the 'vintage' of Jim Rohn and Denis Waitley.
And the new vintage, including Eric W and Randy G, is tasting just as good.
My legacy will be what I make of my opportunity and the time I have, being, doing and giving of my best.
My values, like for many others, include ‘to be the best I can be.’
For me to deliver against that No.1 value, it will require reference to what Jim Rohn left behind, in immortality.
If I can add value to such principles and philosophies, then that will be good – yet I will always remember and record the source. LA, LA – Learn, Act, Learn Act

    Thanks again Eric.
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
"What use is it in learning, when you do not share you knowledge..."
not for the fame, not for the name, not for the money, be a good person to others!
We can live that, for indeed we have a better way!
  • Miguel Cortez
Wow.... i cant dream that in which someone can speck of me like that...
  • annenz
Wow, there are so many gems here, thank you for sharing with us.
  • eugenejohnson
Man he made a good point Jim will live forever
  • I feel so fortunate that Jim Rohn touched so many lives, and through them, he continues to touch mine. Thank you Denis Waitley for sharing from your heart.
  • How does a great man like Jim Rohn affect the lives of so many? I guess one person at a time. As a network marketer, we usually think that greatness can be achieved by doing grandiose things in one sweep, yet never see the big things happen. From now on, I will be like Jim Rohn, leaving my imprint of goodness to one person at a time and growing my network one person at a time.
  • Giving people your time is one of the greatest things you can give them.
  • travelprohawaii
Wow. I don't know Dennis but it is amazing how one person can make a long lasting impression to a whole lot of people. It rings true that your legacy will continue even after you are long gone from this world. I hope I can achieve such a stature when my time is up. Thanks Eric.
  • aliceclifford
Hi Eric I am so touched by the difference any one person can make on the life of so many others. Every one should be so lucky. Thanks A.C.
  • martinvf
My time is more important to me than money.

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, México.
  • Many great thoughts that can be applied to our lives and our business. Sharing our knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we can give.
  • Timeless wisdom from Denis Waitley; "There is a differnece in quality of life and standard of life. You can have more money, but you can´t have more time."
  • dterrell
    Thanks Eric!
  • Eric, Denis left a very poignant feeling in me when he said "immorality in a human being is what they've left in other people to carry on that legacy" you live it, not leave it. We will all live Jim's legacy.
  • beckydesabah
To appreciate and value time . . why don't they teach this at school?
If I can take one step each day I should choose "live the present".
This is getting better with each speaker. Thank you for sharing Eric.
  • Earl
The greatness comes from within the person first, then comes the rest of the stuff that the legacy's are made of! Thanks for the inspiration!
  • Bea Resnick
I wrote in a journal once "Each day has a mission of its own. Every person we meet is a Spiritual Being - an Encounter of Merit." I like to keep that in mind - so I am mindful of the person who is checking me out at the grocery store, the person delivering packages, the new child in the neighborhood looking for a friend. The only way to not waste time is to BE in the moment. Whether we realize it or not each one of us makes a HUGE difference. Why not choose the difference we make? Thank you for the difference you make in my life!
  • caronwashington
Its about the quality of life....how you spend your time. Another great clip. The only equal opportunity player
  • tyroneholmes
Time is the only thing you can't get more of.
  • Awesome!!
  • Such great inspiration and wisdom shared here. Thanks Eric.
One person can make such a great difference in the world. In fact it is the only way that great change has happened in this world through one (or two) people who were determined to do it.
I love the quote "Quality of life is the way you spend your time."
Thanks again Eric for sharing this greatness with us.
    Make it a great day!

Denis Waitley spoke eloquently and from the heart. Wonderful!
  • We all have been given one talent in common and that is time. How you use that talent is completely up to you. If you use it the the best of your abilities you will have nothing to regret.
  • I totally agree with you Hollace.
    Make it a great day!

168 hours in a week, you can move priorities but not time...
quality of life vs. standard of living
who you spend your time with, in what capacity, in what environment...priiceless!
  • emmettb
I wish I could have met him, I have to imagine him speaking through the audio books I have.
  • Dave S
Time is more important then money. You move priorities not time. People buy if your teaching, you don't need to sell. Word of mouth. One on one. Some seeds will take some won't. Quality of Life is the greatest measurement. Walk the talk. Priceless.

Time over substance.I believe that sounds like a great combination........

What do you call a mentor's mentor?
  • keithraines
Cared for his family, cared for the people in his life. The real deal not a cheap imitation.
  • I was just reminiscing while listening to this segment on the individuals that have impacted my life and the "chance" meetings that started it all
  • Jillian
Beautifully crafted words in tribute to an icon.
  • I especially enjoyed the difference between 'standard of living' and 'quality of life.' HUGE difference!

How much time do we have, I don't know we must use it wisely.

Thank you for your time Eric.
  • Cee_G
All I can say Eric is thank you for sharing these words from the "greats". This was another episode filled with so much wisdom in 7 short minutes. Thought provoking to say the least. Yes, one person can make a difference. You never know whose life you will impact directly or indirectly by your words, gestures, deeds, so we need to remember to be aware and always choose wisely.
  • ritafulton
Wow!!..Denis W. and.."if you are teaching-you do not have to SELL.." how powerful that statement is..and just flat out awesome stuff.

Thanks for sharing these brightest moments!!
  • margarethockaday
Simply wonderful. Time is the only equal opportunity employer.
  • Paco_Carreno
This is just unbelievable! a legend as Dr D. Waitley talking great things of another mentor... I'm very right when call J Rohn "mentor of mentors" Here is why.
  • turjcxg
That's a very interesting observation: standard of living vs. quality of life. At school we never talked about quality of life, just paycheck and how that would "lead" to a better standard of living.
  • Foord Yates
Dr Denis Waitley is always awesome, he's one of my favourites, along with Bob Proctor.

    Keep smiling!

  • You can't make more time. I think of this each night before I go to sleep; "Did I do all that I said I would today? Did I do a little bit extra?"

Very inspirational today. Don't think about what you are doing but how you can help others. Great message.

Money and fame are just consecuences. Time is non-renewable. All we have for sure is right here, right now. Your vision, which is reached by living your mission, is what creates legacy. Commitment and congruence. Thank you for this show.

Having heard , seen and talked to Jim on a few outings, I know first hand what kind of person he was. I am so happy that his legacy will be well remembered by many.
  • I love this stuff.....Jim Rohn truly had a distinctive delivery when he spoke. I was so lucky to hear him in person several times in the 90's.

I like the way Jim talked about TIME.
I agree time is the only equal opportunity employer, all we have the same time, but the difference is how you manage it, time pass and it will never come back. Live your live as if today would be your last day living, and as Jim said... "A good quality of life is the way you spend your time, with whom and in what environment".
Thanks for sharing this with us Eric =o)

  • anthonyviglietta
You can tell how genuine Jim Rohn was. Just by listening to his audios. He was so "real". Not a flashy speaker or guru. Just an honest man, who worked hard and truly wanted to help others.
  • Pete
Time is really the ultimate concept. People equate networking success with money, but that's not the whole story, it only the beginning.
  • bartonmurray
Dennis Waitley and his Seeds of Greatness are almost as good as Jim's story of the "Day that Turns Your Life Around"...thanks Eric!

I love that point: Standard of Living vs. Quality of Life.

I'm realizing that Jim Rohn didn't just speak to the person, he spoke to their soul. I'm making it my mission to do the same.

  • Thanks for sharing these moments with us.
  • rmonte
To leave a LIVING LEGACY. These are an amazing group of individuals. How blessed we are to have the opportunity to listen to their words. Think about the fact that many people will never be exposed to all this wisdom. we truly have a lot of work to do. Thanks for sharing Eric.

Wow these men have such a charisma and that must go for the person they talk about. I'm impressed.
  • These stories are so humbling. What's so awesome about Jim Rohn is how is looked out for other people. That is the lesson to learn here. How can we serve others? What can we do to help people have better lives? That is real happiness.
  • Tina Perdue
Words of wisdom. Believe it or not outside of the heartfelt words about his friend..the thing that struck me was 'Johnny Appleseed" what an analogy.
  • janetrajala
Wow! Wish I could go back 20 years and meet the MAN in person. Talk about a legacy. His tapes, books, etc., will continue to teach us for many years to come.
  • TAbrams
Another great tribute. I got alot from this episode with Dr Waitley. The teachings of Jim Rohn will be passed down through generations for centuries to come.

That is exactly how Mr. Rohn lived his life, continually teaching, passing on information and sharing and redistributing his knowledge and wealth. It was all about others, making each individual that you come in contact with feel special, making it all about them. We can learn alot of these individuals who were blessed to have personally known and had the privilege to work directly from Mr Rohn.
  • Dennis Waitley provided some gems:
Time is more valuable than money. You can earn more money, but you can’t create more time.
If you teach quality stuff, you won’t need to sell it; people will WANT to buy it.
We don’t leave a [static] legacy; Our legacy is what lives on in the people we’ve touched.

This was great. Mr Waitley was a funny guy. But also a great speaker.

I have had the honour to see Jim Rohn live 3 times. Jim Rohn was one of the greatest speakers and motivators of all time. If we could fast forward 50 years, Im sure he will be up there with Napolean Hill when it comes to legacy.

What an amazing legacy Jim Rohn left behind. I like what Dr. Waitley said. He said that Jim Rohn didn't leave a legacy behind but that he was living a legacy. Powerful stuff!
  • wouterdeprez
Someone who really walked his talk..
  • if you impact the life of even one person, just like Jim Rohn says that story goes with you and your legacy can go on how you treat people and you can indirectly impact people beyond what you can control!
  • Nancy Eldred
I've always believed .. It's not what you have - but who you are - that tells you what you really have ..

Eric - I'm blown away by the genuine love and compassion Les Brown and Dr. Denis Waitley have shown in their tributes to their friend Jim Rohn, along with your letter you posted awhile ago.
You can FEEL it, and I know the other speakers coming up will be doing the same thing.
Your series on Legacy along Jim Rohn's tribute is so powerful and life changing & it's just day 2 !!
  • Jim Rohn is a great example of how much difference one person can make. He is a tremendous role model for us. He shared with us the things that changed his life in hopes that maybe it would change our lives as well. His primary focus was always to teach and pass on the nuggets of wisdom that he learned from his mentor. What’s more important to you – your standard of living or your quality of life?

The difference that I can make in this world is by listening and sharing ideas with others. If I can help others bring out what’s important to them, then just maybe I can have a positive influence on their lives. And by sharing Jim Rohn with others, I can share in his living legacy.
  • Legacy. Making a difference. Hmmmmm. These guys have certainly touched many lives (including mine) and left a positive imprint. However, let's not forget the many thousands who are making / and have made a difference in thousands of lives -- every second of every day -- whose names we will never know. We won't see them on stage or read about them in the media. They go quietly giving smiles, hugs, words of wisdom, and support to others sometimes at the risk of their own comfort.
Understand that hundreds and thousands don't have to celebrate you -- and may not. (Although recognition feels good.) At the end of each day -- and, at the end of our lives, the question one might ask is: Do I feel good about me and my life? If the answer is yes, then give yourself permission to celebrate yourself. Celebrate you! If the answer is no, then decide what needs to be fixed and then give yourself permission to celebrate how fabulous you are at fixing your life!
  • I have deduced myself that our immortality is realized in the impact we have on future generations, not merely in getting to an afterlife. I'm glad that Dr. Waitely articulated it so well in this fine eulogy. Also, I'm very happy to see him testify to the importance of being genuine - "The real thing, not some expensive imitation."
  • Thanks Eric
  • Episode 34 of Eric Worre's 100 episode Throw Down Challenge:

Knowledge and Money are only powerful when they are redistributed. AWESOME !!

Throughout time, One man has made huge differences for good and bad over and over. Men and women from Moses, Jesus, Julius Caesar, Shakespeare, Napoleon and Oprah etc, have shaped their eras and in many cases beyond. While all of the examples above had assistance in changing history of the world. It was their visions (whether original or divinely inspired) that created the impact on civilization we all remember.

As far how much of a difference I can make. Only time will tell in the big picture. I think those of us who are willing to step up into leadership roles in NM are creating a better place in the world and setting the example of what is possible. Maybe that is enough.. I think it was Jim Rohn who said something about Everyone has a story that is told about them. Good or bad.. Work hard to have the story be about your success , those are stories that inspire. Other stories are are about failures. those are stories are called warning. Work hard to avoid being the warning. My mission statement is about helping others succeed. So My wish is to make a HUGE difference.

    Thanks again, Eric

One person can make a huge difference, as you are doing with NMPro
I hope to become that kind of person too.
  • Wow Eric, what an inspirational video. "Authenticity, total transparency and complete humility"; quite a legacy to leave behind. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. Thank you for sharing.
  • This series is a great testament to the power of one person. I, like anyone else, can make a dramatic difference in this world and I will use the vehicle of network marketing to better the lives of as many people as I can in the time I'm given.
  • All I can say for now is Thank You Eric for sharing with us the opportunity to view and listen to these great presenters talking about a fantastic person.
  • I have a very deep respect for Dr. Denis Waitley. Thank you Eric for bringing him to our screen. His pearls of wisdom are always thought provoking!
  • agelfederico
One person can make all he difference in the world, we are seen it with Jim Rohn.

Some people already know now, is not much, but we will all know at the end of my life.

Thanks for all the difference you are making, greatly appreciated

Immortality is what gets transfer to the next generation
  • We believe that the world was created for each and every one of us. This means that each and every one of us has the unique ability to change the world in our own way! Eric, you are sure doing your part! Thanks!
  • Make everyday better then the last and you will achive great things!
  • That was awesome! One person can make a huge difference in people lives. The person that introduced me to this industry, words can't explain the difference he made in my life! Every day when I go meet people and introduce them to my opportunity, I feel what I have can make a difference in their lives. That is what gets me excited!
  • Hi Eric! I don't know shat to say today except that I really wish I could have heard this wonderful man speak, it must be amazing! / Linda, Sweden
  • Another great tribute to Jim Rohn. I definately wish I would have had the opportunity to meet and speak with him. I do believe that any one person can make as little or large of a difference as they choose for either good or bad. What differences are we as individuals going to choose to make over the next month, year, or the rest of our lives?
  • kgoren
Standard of life (how much money you make/style over substance) vs Quality of Life (way you spend your time and with whom and in what environment). Being authentic, the real thing and not an expensive imitation. A few great things to ponder while creating your own legacy.
  • MattinJaxfl
One person can make all the difference if they stick to their principles. Joan of Arc, Ghandi, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Nicola Tesla, William Wallace, Aristotle, Henry Ford, Sam Walton, Bill Gates, and etc. The list goes on and on. One person can and has changed the way the world works.

How much of a difference can I make? I have to become more to make a difference on a larger stage. I have already made a difference for some individuals in showing them how much more they are capable of doing. I just want to go bigger so I must become better.
  • hanneretvik
The question of today makes me reflect. How much difference can I make? Until a short time ago I would certainly have answered "Not much". But continuing the self development studies, I think the answer will be "A lot".
    Looking forward to tomorrow's interview.
  • Great episode! How you spend your time makes quality of life, this is what matters.
Everyone can make difference. I know that giving more value to other people's life I bring my own life to the upper level.
    Thank you for sharing Eric.
  • quincy
Just to hear the stories Denis Waitley shared and how he spoke of Jim Rohn makes me wish so much more that I would have had the pleasure to at least just meet him. To have seen him LIVE. At least I have his audio's to learn from. One person can make an unmeasurable anount of difference. From one person to thousands. In a positive or negative way. Just look at someone like Mother Teresa or Hitler. Thats why its so vitally inportant that we are conciously aware of who we are and what we say to people because we dont know what effect we will have on someone. I want to make a difference worth appreciating and mentioning long after Im gone.
  • garyparmenter
Time and knowledge, how you use them is so important our quality of life. You can make more money but you can't more time. Use it wisely.

Another phenomenal tribute...I liked when Dr. Denis Waitley said time is worth more than money because you can get more money but you can't get more time...this made me think to myself that I need to spend my time with quality prospects. Jim Rohn truly has impacted many lives in a positive way including mines and will continue to do so for generations to come.
  • I can make a HUGE difference in the lives of those around me. Being authentic is one of the best ways to do that! Truly caring about others and living by example. Listening and truly serving those you come in contact with. We can all make a difference. Just think how amazing our planet would be if we all did small things in a great way?!
  • Wow.... I'm pretty much speechless. Another excellent speech by one of my faves. I've got to go pull my Jim Rohn stuff out now. Thanks for this wonderful series Eric.

  • Eric, Nice to hear other "icons" in our industry talk and pay tribute to Jim Rohn. One person can make ALL the difference but a combination of LOTS can naturally make A LOT OF DIFFERENCE for us all. By staying true to our hearts and our passions I BELIEVE that we can make a difference in this world. We DO have a better way.. Looking forward to more tributes to a great thinker!!

Jeg skal vise meg selv og andre at jeg kan gjøre en forskjell.
  • Jim certainly did live what he taught, and that's one of the main reasons he's so respected. As leaders we have to do the same. You can't expect to coach and expect people to do the things you won't do yourself.

With MLM we can all make massive differences to lots of lives if we operate in a professional way and see it through. This year, and in coming years, I WILL make a difference.
