March 28th, 2010 Email This

In part one of our 4-part interview with Vemma CEO BK Boreyko, he offers what makes the difference between high income earners and low income earners in Network Marketing.  (Excuse the occasional echo in the recording… not sure why that happened)

He seems like a rather reasonable person.
  • Dexter
"The level of desire sets a person apart"
You have to work! Yeah..I'd say so! :o)
"Do what works and so a lot of it"

    Thanks!
  • heatherbrocklehurst
Desire, discipline and be coachable. Great lesson.
  • still catching up so skipping ahead to the "complete edition
  • Dylan Cooper
Doing a lot of what works!

We get paid to be friendly! Work ethic... Be coachable! Do what works and do a lot of it!
  • jlt0wn
take away - we get paid to be friendly. I'm in. Discipline, where I struggle, is a key for me. All sorts of good tips. Thank you.
  • alltheverybest
    Networking v.v. Notworking - Brilliant!
  • Mark from Germany
    .. forever is a long time .. I like that line ..

I remember a song with that in from a few years back: it goes: "you build it up and tear it down, there's no reason to follow you, you left the storm without a sound, you left the story I made for you, snow white angels bow and fly, in the stillness of the night, never is a long time ..." - nice -
  • KeithN
Have a burning desire, solid work ethic, and be coachable. The common keys to success.
  • mspaulamc
ON POINT .. we get paid for being friendly! LOVE IT!
  • julie67
    Thanks for the wisdom.
  • CarlosVera
    I liked these two concepts:

    • Burning desire without a strong discipline and a solid work ethics does not get you anywhere
    • Be coachable. Other people’s experience is the best teacher.

    This interview looks very promising...................
  • robbinsaturniewicz
I like his comment.."Make a fortune being friendly"
  • BetterCoffee.dk

I like the consistency remark. I think that's the most important thing.
If you just keep doing it, it doesn't even matter if you're any good.
    Eventually you will get there.

Also loved the part with Tom walking past. Very casually BK mentions that this guy makes 2M a year!
    Holy smokes! Respect!
  • veronikakari
Sponsors do not say that it is hard work when they are getting new peoploe, that is why there is wrong idea about business.
  • Edith Kohler
    "notworkmarketing".Didn't hear this one befor
  • pech
What comes easy goes easy. Hard work is the way to sucess.
  • Great smile! I love that toothpaste too.

"Other people's experiences are the best teacher" - "Bunnies lead to bears" - "It's NETwork marketing not NOTwork marketing" - Great stuff, can't wait to hear the rest of this interview.
  • Jessi
“It’s NETwork marketing not NOTwork marketing”
  • emmettb
    Desire, makes all the difference.
  • yitxz613
Desire, Discipline, Work Ethic. Give me these 3 in any of my distributors and I'll show you a winner who is making money and helping others.
  • Stephen
Eric, your interviews are so so good. And even though I'd like to complain that there are so many of them, but I can't ,just keep them coming
  • fc34615
Love the example about the lady from the Amish community. It simply shows that as long as we believe in what we are doing, the results will come to us.
    Fernando.
  • Lotta
Thank you cant wait to the next one.
  • gkamlm
Great comments on Desire, Discipline and Coachable, now if we can figure out how to define those in a prospect?
  • That is so true BK, you never know who is going to be your superstar. This is why you always treat everyone as though they are worth a million dollars to your business.
  • Inger
Like mentioned several times in this show: A strong DESIRE is the basis accompanied with discipline, great work-ethics and being coachable.
  • Be disciplined and COACHABLE... this is so important... great stuff BK!
  • Bea Resnick
Do what works and do a lot of it!
  • claralondono
payed for being friendly...become a person who can easily be talked too.. I like this..Thanks
  • drkay
Well... there you go. The same things pop up all the time. There is NO way we will not know what to do to become successful. This was great.Want it... Circulate... Discipline... Work ethic... BE COACHABLE!
  • lauralopez
I agree in Networkmarketing I need to work with discripline, comunication and be orginized
Laura Lopez Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico
  • ronaldvandomburg
desire and workethic are two crucial elements. I agree
  • raybeattie
Bunnies lead to bears, love it.
  • bethascoli
I love "the bunnies will lead you to the bears," great to[s abpit desire and work ethic.
  • Jose Lopez
Experience is the best teacher vs. Other people's experiences are the best teacher. Loved it!
  • Agneta Rebo
I liked Network Marketing not Not-work.... and work is to be consistent and friendly.
  • You have to be coachable, and others experience is the best teacher! This is a follow up to my previous comment. Listen to the people that have done the business before you, and trust them....
  • i love the perspective that an owner brings to the table. Thanks for this!
  • Marion
I like what BK says about making a fortune by being friendly, keep in touch, without being pushy, care about people.
    All great advice
  • keithraines
    Network marketing not "not-work"
    Work ethic, consistency, good points
  • Thanks Eric and BK for this first installment. Excellent information.
Work Ethic stood out for me and it seems like that is not a common thing in the society we live in today.
That darn Lottery mentality that so many people have. I totally agree "do what works and do a lot of it."
    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • smreed
It's NETWORK marketing not NOTWORK marketing. brilliant!
the bunnies will lead you to the bears.
  • billrogers
Great start to another fantastic person in Net Work Marketing.
He mentions the keys desire-work ethic-coachable.
  • Connie Tolton
Looking forward to the rest of the advice

    Connie T
  • Ryan
do it and do it often!
  • quincy
Thast one phrase that is consistent among all the top income earners. You've got to WORK this business. Really WORK it and thats what Im prepared to do.
  • Do what works and do a lot of it! This ties into your post from a couple of days ago that our business is 'boring'. It's interesting to hear different people essentially pointing back to the fundamentals in building our business. Desire - do you want something more? Work ethic - will you go to work, everyday? Coachable - will you really do what the successful people say to do?

Looking forward to the rest of the conversation. Thanks, Eric and BK!
  • Sounds clear: Determination, Discipline Desire and Work Ethic, "Bunnies lead you to the bears." Sorting.
"It's a lot of work.- Be coachable- Other people's experience is the best teacher- do the work and do a lot of it."
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hola Eric, Ok we need to take MLM like Plan B. there are many people who quit because then don´t earn money the first month, this is a complement of your job ok?
    Saludos.

  • Paco_Carreno
I've just arrived in NYC after a week in Atlanta celebrating my PhD with my girlfriend and a bunch of people, I've been "out-there" building networks, I've had a few new cards from people that I've just met, and I was listening "Challenge to Succeed" specially when J. Rohn talks about labor... miracles occurs when we do the work. If the work is changing your mindset... go change it! if it's talking to people... go talk to people! and if you don't think you are able to do it maybe your work, right now, is to study how to approach to people and to start practicing... BUT as BK Boreyko says: "this is NETwork Marketing and no NOT-working Marketing" ( I love that!)
  • Hmmm...other people's experience is the best teacher.....
So I guess that it's your way or the high-way...
And this thing called "success" ... does that include the multi-million dollar earner who bounces from one company to another, hi-jacking his down-lines down-line as he goes along, perpetuating the 97% fail rate by telling all, but practicing mostly his own self interest...
Sorry, folks. This episode was too packed with cliches for my liking.

  • susanclark
#271 - BK Boreyko Interview Part 1 of 4 - Eric asked BK what are the common themes of the super successful? Desire, work ethic, and be coachable. I totally agree. As BK says other people's experience is the best teacher ( be coachable).
  • Another great interview :)
    Desire ,
    Work your butt off.
Thats all what I can take from this episode :)
  • tomcarrigan
BK is amazing! I'm a brand partner of Vemma and it totally changed my life. Eric, I've been following you since day one. This is a true blessing to see my two favorite networkers on my computer. Keep up the awesome work! See you at the top!
  • The top 20% earn 80% of the money, and the top 4% earn 96% of the money.

And as BK said, the difference is desire, discipline, hard work and being teachable.

I look forward to the rest of the videos, thanks Eric! :-)
  • rmonte
Diligence is indispensable to make it in anything. This is called NETWORKING not NETWISHING. Thanks Eric!
  • hcapcarp
There is an old adage "the harder I work the luckier I get"
  • Sounds like the same characteristics of anyone who is successful...desire, great work ethic and willing to learn (and that means change). And that might just be the rub for some. Change is hard but if we knew how to be financially independent, we already would be so why not? Thanks Eric for the interviews you have with top income earners. Like BK Boreyko said, "the product or company doesn't matter". It's us that makes the difference.
  • timandtricia
Desire, commitment, discipline and getting out in the world and making it happen. That's the formula of life not just network marketing.
  • garyparmenter
Tenacity and desire are key. I like the description of we are in the business of being friendly.
  • MarvinTowler
It's the level of desire. You gotta be disciplined "It's network marketing, it isn't notwork marketing" Great stuff!!

  • There's really no secret to success in this profession - just follow and execute the fundamentals
  • daddykekere
Burning desire, coachability and working hard at [what works] will always be never changing principles of this business. Thanks Eric for another wonderful interview.
  • Bernadette
Be coachable! I thought I was but relized that until I follow my leaders and duplicate, I am being reisitant.
  • cynthiavp
Thanks for the incredible interviews! Love them.
  • krisic
He's saying exactly what you have been saying: be coachable, desire (your why), work hard. I guess you do know what you are talking about!!!! :) ha ha
  • It is a lot of work..... but it's so worth it!
  • Foord Yates
Do the right things the right way at the right time for the right reward.
    Simple.

    Foord Yates.
  • SJ Doug
    Work hard and be disciplined
  • carolmcwilliams
Work hard is such an important theme in so many of these shows. At the end of each day I ask myself, "What could I have done differently, to focus on income producing activities vs. busy work. As I get better I am more serious about what my activities need to be in order to meet more people. After listening to so many of these shows, I realize what I need to improve upon: become more of a leader, talk about the opportunity with 3rd party tools and drive people to events.

Thanks Eric for changing my life by this community.
  • Earl
I love that saying: ...that "It's Other people's experience is the Best teacher!" This way I can learn so much faster than I could ever by trying to make all the mistakes myself. Sweet!
  • jeffreyhall
True success, regardless of how you define success, is defined and generated by personal desire. But is has to be supported by perseverance, determination and lots of hard work. To be successful at the highest levels of business, regardless of the type of business, you have to work hard! Success if not a given.
  • Tarashon Broomes
i agree the level of desire is what sets people apart but why do people with high level desire one year loses it the next year. what causes that?
  • 1) Burning Desire 2) Willing to Work 3) Coachable --> The 3 Keys to Success in MLM!!
  • chriskemp817
Bunnies will lead you to bears. Looking forward to the complete interview.
  • Eric, Today I've heard something new! We get paid for being friendly. I like that I think I need to get better at that. Hard work is another one. I'll work 10-12 hrs a day for someone else without question. Why than is a couple of hours for me and my family so hard to do?
  • Most of us have been programmed to work hard for someone else in order to get paid. I am also a victim of this mold. Working for yourself does not produce immediate results. However when working for yourself it's the LONG term goals that will make it worth while once they are achieved.....
  • artdlasvegas
Thanks Eric, Great interview! Had to watch the whole thing, very impactfull and full of golden nuggets.
  • karenandian
A lot of hard work and a persons work ethics!!! Determination and the ability to stay focused!!
Thank you Eric - we are looking forward to Interview # 2 - 4!!!
  • brianhepner
Do what works and do alot of it.... Great phrase..... Also the point that he failed first and works hard.
  • This interview segment is a good followup to the prior one. You have to work! If it feels uncomfortable, you are doing it right! Mr. Borenko's emphasis on discipline is right in line.
  • Your right about things happen in cycles. When we first get into it we are all fired but we can't be on over drive forever. We need to find that steady pace and even when thngs arn't going so good that is a great time to figure out where to improve.
  • HoracioMejia
The new idea I found today is one regarding being coachable: in NM your experience is not the best teacher. Other people's experience is. I find that a very simple and clear way to say "be coachable". Thanks.
  • karivankleef
    Great interview. Thanks
  • brigittapatel
Just do what needs to be done and don't stop......
    Thanks a million
  • Lisette
    Another great interview.
  • ybimbalanced
Do what works and do a lot of it! I love it, thanks.
  • I love that: "It isn't "Notwork Marketing" it takes a lot of work". Vision, Discipline and Passion governed by conscience. The 8th habit - right there. Boom!
  • dstfa96
There was a lot of great info in this interview...I really loved when Bk talked about experience isn't the best teacher, other people's experience is the best teacher that was fantastic! As my team and I continue to build our organizations we need to follow this advice and see what our successful leaders have done in the past that worked and do what they did so we can achieve the same results..I also loved when he talked about work ethic playing a huge role in anybodys success in life....we have to work our business on a consistent basis in order to achieve success...I also liked when BK said the bunnies will lead you to the bears so dont prejudge people...I know that is something I need to work on because I find myself prejudging people, so I have to eliminate the prejudging.

I am looking forward to the rest of this interview...
  • jpmendoza
We need to willing to listen & learn, be coachable.
  • NANCY Eldred
Bk's energy is wonderful. You can tell he loves his life, he's having FUN !!! knows what he's talking about .
This reminds me of .. whistle while you work .. or .. hi ho hi ho it's off to work we go
    ......................................................................................................................................................
Eric you asked real questions - and we got real answers
I liked everything BK said / my favourites are
    - It's NETwork Marketing not NOTwork Marketing.
    - We get paid for being friendly.
    - Forever's a long time.

The fundamentals are the same - we hear it from all your guest interviews
    - DESIRE - WORK ETHIC - COACHABLE - etc.

I'm sure most of us were smiling through this whole interview and didn't even realize it
.. Giddy Up .. now on to part 2
  • racingworm
To be coachable is the most important thing to have. If you're not coachable than you'll never be able to learn anything. This should prove to be another great interview.
  • jlconner
So true in our business as well as in anything else. If you have the desire to succeed, that is half the battle.
  • someone else's experience is the best teacher....that is so good.
  • Jeroen Lingier
Next to passion, you have to work to succeed, since it is called netWORKmarketing, not NOTWORKmarketing.
    Great phrase!
    Groeten uit Vlaanderen (=Flanders, Belgium)
  • patrickmcfeely
Another part of my road map is now in place.
Thank you for your time Eric
  • bkboreyko
    That Eric is a genius!
  • mrmauriocrawford
    It's called Net-WORK Marketing, not NOT-work marketing. WHOA...SO GREAT!!!
  • hpena
Network vs. Notwork. So many amateurs are telling the "get paid when you sleep" story instead of "condense 40 years of work into 4 really hard years" story (I was one of those amateurs). I'm glad he said Discipline, it is a necessary component in any aspect of life.

    Nando
  • make a fortune being friendly
  • gmeyerson
I love that other peoples experience is the best teacher
  • juanfernandogutierrez
I agree! the level of desire is what set people apart from the rest; discipline and getting paid by being friendly, and gotta WORK!!
  • kristibateman
    Love it!!
  • ooooohhhhhh yes..... be coachable
    tks
  • BK is as down to earth as he seems. I was able to speak with BK, Tom, & Brad in Toronto Ontario on 03/26/2010. Thank you for providing me with a GREAT opportunity.......
  • bkboreyko
Great to see you up there. Had a great time meeting your family.
  • Lorraine
YOu can hear the passion in his voice. great advise.
  • gillym1
Absolutely spot on! Be coachable, work hard but above all - be excited! Thanks Eric!
  • enrique62
    Be coachable
  • sjwilliamson
Following the successsful upline is very important. Can't wait for the rest of the interviews

    F
  • Do what works and do a lot of it. That is what makes the difference between high income earners and low income earners.
  • Great interview! Can't wait to see the rest. Yes, very true about the work ethic, although it's interesting that the mindset in this country of many who enter this industry think it's all about 'push the button and make millions.'

That's a result of what's being promoted out there, too, so Eric, thank you for bringing on people like this who are professionals, who tell it like it is.
  • Whistle while you work.
  • bkboreyko
You can't talk if you're whistling:-)
  • alltheverybest
    ..but you can still listen!
  • MagnusEdvald
    Great interview

There we see it again....Burning Desire......Willingness to Work....Coachable

  • dougharkins
Great Quote " You need to circulate to percolate"
  • Bryan_in_KC
"the bunnies will lead you to the bears".... love it.
  • Matt Genet
"Experience is not best teacher. Other people's experience is best teacher." Be coachable, do what works for others, and do a lot of it. Great Stuff!
  • Couple of my favorite lines from this episode:

“Make yourself a fortune by being friendly”

“It’s NETwork marketing not NOTwork marketing”

“If you love what you do you’ll never work another day in your life”

Eric, looks like there’s another million dollar producer for ya to add to your list of people to have on the show.

I’m really looking fwd to the rest of this interview.
  • marvalouslife1
so good to see CEO's of MLM companies.

There's no substitute for hard work - we hear it again
  • travelprohawaii
Where else can you get paid in proportion of the work that you do? I get paid the same amount as the person who doesn't work as hard as I do at my job! I know that working hard in this industry will pay me greater dividends than working at my job!
  • jerryscribner
    Great stuff!!
  • pollyhulseman
Only 6 minutes and already some great quotes to take notes on.
  • do what works and a lot of it... it sounds so simple.. why do I make it so difficult sometimes? LOL... I really do love this industry!
  • Enjoyed B K so much had to watch again!
  • BK is one of the coolest guys in the industry!
  • Steve_Nelson
It isn't NOTwork marketing! More people need to hear from this guy. I love it!
  • Thanks for once again putting the basics out there. Always good to have a timelye reminder.
  • Great nuggets in the first part! "Do what works and do a lot of it". Gold :)
  • bkboreyko
I should write some of this stuff down:-)
  • Dave S
Great Quotes.........."Make yourself a fortune by being friendly", "the bunnies will lead you to the bears", . It doesn't get any simpiler then that.
  • rasdaniels
Great Advice - Must have (1) Desire (2) discipline (3) be coachable
  • Episode 62 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Throw Down Challenge:

Coachability, work your face off, get out there and meet people, be respectful when someone says no but keep them on your list.. Great tips.. Look forward to the rest of the interview.
  • FrankMarshman
Some day Eric will distill all of these shows into one phrase like the chief of the tribe who asked all of his wisest men to write down the wisest sayings they knew. They left and came back with a large set of books with the wisest thoughts they could find. The chief told them it was too much and no one would read all that information. They left again and came back with 3 books. "Still too much", said the chief. Again they left and returned with one book. Same answer, "Still too much!" This continued on and on until they came back with one page. "Ah," said the chief, "This is it." This is also what Eric will write.
The paper had 5 words. THERE AIN'T NO FREE LUNCH.
  • hlj521
Be Coachable. Do what works and do a LOT of it. Great interview. Looking forward to more tomorrow.
  • randyhendrickson
I think the bottom line is, get it done!
  • Other peoples experiences are the best teacher...I like that part. Great show, looking forward to the rest of it. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Great interview with BK Boreyko...good advice there, I totally agree with you guys, being in mlm doesn't mean you have to look at people with dollar signs in your eyes. Relate to people with respect and interest and opportunities will naturally present themselves.
  • mbryant
Good points - desire plus work ethic.
  • seija
Have desire & discipline and do what works and do a lot of it.
  • Mailen
All sucessful people says the same thing , just follow them.

Hi, very useful information of difference between high income earners and low income earners in Network Marketing, it helpful to being a high income earner.
    Thanks!
    MLM Leads
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
Always good to hear from people that 'made it' in NM. They know what it takes to become part of the succesfull community.
If you listen carefully to all interviews with your guests, it is always the same attributes one need:
    -having lots of desire
-being coachable on experiences from people who are more succesfull
    -having discipline
    -having workethics
What took my real attention that mr Boreyko brought up
he mentioned the timing on prospects should be right, otherwise keep on 'dripping' and be friendly
and the word 'notworkmarketing', loved both hahaha
    Thanks mr Boreyko/Eric
  • Goes back to the Harvey Mackay scenario. Network and then find a way to creatively stay in touch. It's all about the timing.
  • "Respect others decision" - "We get paid to be friendly" - "Follow the bunnies to get to the bears"
    Good stuff.

  • jeffweisberg
    Eric,

Great interview with BK. He is one of us & understands the business from both sides. Not just an Owner & Founder, but one that truly started a business by distributors, for distributors!!

Your Network Marketing Pro program is off the charts & a must for any network marketer to watch, no matter if they are brand new or a 20+ year professional like myself.

As BK said, you are doing a GREAT job showing people what our industry is truly about!! Thank you for that, as I wish there were more people following in your footsteps.

    Jeff
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
I’m just adding to the echo here:
Why people fail and some succeed is key knowledge – and success of others will attract those who have the DESIRE, COACHABILITY and willingness to WORK HARD – to "do a lot of it"
..and make ourselves a fortune by being friendly.
BE DISCIPLINED ....and it’s “network not notwork”... communicate – “circulate to percolate”
..."if you love what you do you’ll never do another day’s work."

To be very successful we must learn what makes the most successful people successful.
This is more good insight into successful thinking...to be matched by the doing.

    Thanks again Eric
  • wouterdeprez
I think this will be an interesting interview again!
  • simple advice - do what works and do a lot of it.
  • martinvf
Hey Eric, is it valid to talk about brands and MLM companies here??? .... =o/ well, I think it's valid for you, right??? It's your webpage, it's your show, it's your space... okay.
Are you ever going to interview Glen??? =o)
  • mariasiro
    Interesting, thanks
  • Darnell
This is another hit for us to listen to and I like this intro for this four part interview. The answer is still the same from the leaders in this industry and not from one or two...I see how vital being in NM the success level will grow as one stays coachable and hard-working and can duplicate the model and not try to change it!! Happy to see Bk's employee in the background continuing to make it happen...action truly speak louder than words...looking 4ward to the next video!!
  • Great first part! What separates amateurs from PRO´s:
    1) Desire
    2) Work ethics
    3) Coachable
  • bkboreyko
The great part is that everyone can do this, if they work on the skills.
  • beckydesabah
"... Do what works and do a lot of it ... "
  • Erik
Interesting start. Looking forward to part 2.
  • Networking at meetups, networking at Chamber Mixers, networking at the grocery store, networking with everyone you meet. Following the lead of the leaders, keep dripping and be coachable, great stuff thank you!
  • bartonmurray
hi-ho hi-ho its off for work I go....great pointers guys!

"Do what works and do alot of it" Learning from other people's experiences are better, than making your own mistakes and learning from that. There's alot of time that gets wasted when you go out and make the same mistakes as others, when you could have just learned from their experiences and saved alot of time. That is the truth! Looking forward to the rest of this interview!
  • Great first part! Its all about being coachable, trainable and have a burning desire.
  • yuvalcohen
    Thanks
Fascinating interview, waiting for further interview
  • Our success in network marketing profession depends on level of desire. That is so true.
That level of desire defines how hard you work and how coachable you are.
  • coltsco
"Work ethic", the two words that are needed to make any business successful.
  • TAbrams
Great advice, the "bunnies will lead you to the bears" and just be friendly. So many people don't keep the drip methodology going after the initial pique, and the fortune is in the follow through... If the right time is not now, just keep dripping, keep in touch, times change and so do people's situations.

Discipline is so key to being successful in our profession. Have a burning desire, and keep at it, bring your work ethic to the table and continually learn and better yourself, little by little your skills improve.
  • carolbarrett
Desire, Descipline, be coachable. Great interview and great advice. Thanks Eric and BK
  • margarethockaday

  • This is soo true. And this interview, people might want to listen again in case they don't missed anything. :-)
  • Jillian
Common denominator seems to be "working hard" and I am so happy to see that this is a new message that is definitely being made more and more to make this profession more realistic.
  • quintaser

  • BK is a good guy!
  • Too mny people expect too much from too little work. If you are in this for the long haul you will need to develop the skills you need to be successful.
  • janetrajala
This is advice we have all heard before, but we need to constantly be reminded of it. Don't have the lottery mentatily.
  • Work, work, work. I love the bunnies will lead you to the bears.
  • Respecting a person's decision is key to whether or not that person is going to be a future business partner or not. I just started in this business in Oct 09 and I will never forget listening to my SVP on a conference call talking about his list. He said he NEVER NEVER crosses anyone off his but makes a note to the side of why NOW isn't a good time for them. respect their decision, keep in touch and build a relationship.
so when the time is right for them...the relationship is already there. I will never forget this.
  • bkboreyko
Allen, you got it big time! Just stay in touch, care about a person. I mean really care. Not just caring if they sign up or place an order. When you care about someone, they'll then care about what's important to you. Not the other way around.
  • Thank you BK for the reinforcement. I am looking forward to the rest of the training sessions.
  • Looks like another great interview - I just can't wait to see it all!! (The instant gratification thing - you know!) lol
  • tambry
Thanks for having BK on - can't wait to hear the rest.
  • "The bunnies will lead you to the bears"... profound quote
  • Ria Leermakers
I'm going to use the 'no-workmarketing' part in my presentations!
    It makes it all clear.
Workethics, desire and being teachable are the key ingredients for succes.
Thank you both for sharing this.
  • bradleyherzog

    Thanks
  • #271 What distinguishes successful versus unsuccessful NM reps?
Level of desire. The enroller has little control over this.
Be disciplined. It's network marketing, not net unwork marketing.
Don't prejudge people. If they're not ready yet drip on them.
Worth ethic is important in all phases of life. NM is a business, not the lottery.
Be coachable; do what works and do a lot of it.

"The clearer you are about the consequences of your actions and the more intensely you desire to enjoy the consequences that your behaviors may lead to, the more motivated you will be."
    - Brian Tracy

  • Have a burning desire, be coachable, do a lot of it. Mmmmm.....I seem to have heard that before! And repetition is the mother of learning, right?
  • denisekay
Networking is 24/7 with a burning desire. Working 9 to 5 is fading...

  • katie n

  • rayrios
Timeless concepts, principles and ideas that will be the evidence of true success. Can't wait for the next interview.
  • anthonyviglietta
BK is great. He was actually on The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O' Reilly approx. 8 or 9 years ago.
  • Dee_Canada
Love the comment that "experience isn't the best teacher, OTHER PEOPLE'S experience is the best teacher...Do what WORKS and do ALOT of it!"
I Know in my epxerience that if I'd listened to others...and been more coachable, this journey would be very different. The biggest thing is to do what works...not just the part that I am good at already, (or THINK I`m good at), but EVERYTHING I`m taught that works. Simple...work it...work it...work it..consistently...be unstoppable!
  • Cheers for another great interview....looking forward to Part 2.
  • kgoren
I like what Boreyko said...."Make yourself a fortune by being friendly." Respect each persons decision and be friendly about it. Keep dripping on them without being offensive...No doesn't necessarily mean No, it just means not now.
  • bkboreyko
This is the key, stay in touch and just care about people.
  • jean_albert
Lots of nuggets.... Desire, Discipline, Coachable, Work Ethic..... great stuff, thanks,
  • Ngoc Tran
Discipline in doing a lot of works of NM!
  • talya_mitzafon
believe in the product! Believe that networkmarketing is a win bizconcept! Believe in your company and JUST DO IT AND DO IT AND DO IT!
  • peterragg
    BK has said it again.
Desire, coachable, work your butt off.

We come back every single time to these three key requirements that you need to bring to the table. If you do not have these then NM is not for you.

I look forward to the rest of the interview

    Kind regards
    Peter
  • tomdoiron
    Hey Eric,
BK's head-on approach is refreshing. He said two words that rang a bell for me; Sorting and dripping.
    Wishing You Plenty To Live,
    Tom Doiron
    Atlanta
  • kgadol
"Do what works and do a lot of it" ... ok, that sums it up!
  • crwood1967
Finding people who are truly open-minded! This is very, very important! I someone is closed minded and unwilling to do what it takes, why waste yours and their time? Thanks, I look forward to the remaining parts of this interview!
  • 'Do what works and do a lot of it.' In the beginning for most of us, doing a lot of 'it' is all practice, all falling off the bicycle, frustration after frustration with a bit of whimsy and almost accidental success. IF [something different and almost magical for each person called.........] happens there is no limit to what they will achieve. The 'it' may take offering 'it' to 6000+ to find 'the one' ... but hey what else you were you going to do with your life? Watch TV?
  • B K so right do what works and do a lot of it
  • Internal desire and the right time. The need to make things change. This is us and the people we are looking for.
  • Be coachable and do a lot of what works. Thay is the bottom line.
  • bryantkeefe
You got to do what works and do a lot of it. Work is the biggest part.
  • Desire is important and so is goalsetting and game plans. You got to know why you're in NM, why are you here, doing the work day after day after day. If I hadn't made a real commitment and had my WHY, I wouldn't do this. I have days when I think that "Oh, today I just don't wanna...make phonecalls or talk to prospects or whatever" but at the same time the other side of me says "Hey, Ok don't do it then - But how are you going to achieve your goals and dreams ?" After 4 months in this industry I know too much about NM vs "Real Jobs" that I just can't let NM go. I know that for me, this is my only chance to reach financial freedome and to make my dreams come true. So I am never going to leave this industry. So yes, absolutely; Desire is the key along with a few more things
  • bkboreyko
Stay at it Linda! Get Robert Kiyosaki's new book The Business for the 21st Century. Will really impress you.
  • Well said.......it's NETwork Marketing not NOTwork Marketing. Pops had a lot of good sayings that he passed along to his son.
  • Loretta Sandoval
It is nice to hear it from someone who was a distributor prior to becoming a CEO. Thank you for the information, the level of desire/dedication will help me GO PRO and being friendly will help me be successful in NWM.
  • bkboreyko
Loretta, I hope some of my thoughts help shorten your learning curve in this business.
