Tools, events and recognition are the corner stone of our business. Great tip put in a nutshell.................
  • mspaulamc
Yes, agreed LIVE events are necessary .. some things I have learned ...

Figure out what works to train your folks to run their own as their team grows - you want to work yourself out of doing them all yourself!

One danger to watch out for is a weekly meeting becoming a coffee clatch for old timers. Always gear towards training AND a place to bring new folks to get more information. I never recommend bringing someone COLD to an event, unless you just met them on the way there ... better to have qualified prospect who is doing their due diligence attending those events. (we have a system of approaching, inviting, etc that we train at the weeklys)

Finally, partner with another member of the team to make certain new person feel comfortable and welcome at events too. Important component for retention .. 'cause sometimes people gotta see it more than once before they get it.

    I could write a book about EVENTS ... :)

  • Lorraine
as you say Eric, events, events, events.
  • veronikakari
Communication and meeting face to face.
  • ronaldvandomburg
live events are crucial, but it takes some leaders to organize them over and over again, and it takes personal responsability of everyone to make sure, people and prospects attend the meetings
  • The Art of Communication and the Desire to Use it Effectively always works out in the long run..
  • pech
Mastering communication can give you greatness.
  • Events are places where like minded people can gather and share information and build relationships. This is a communication business. Can't wait to hear more from both of these fine men. Thanks Eric!
  • Building relationships, personally, face to face is the keystone of this business model. Events - small or large are needed to build to the next level.
  • Jessi
    It's a relationship business!
  • Dave S
The secret is, there is no secret to the success .....it's about relationship, communicating, relating to people. Make it happen, GET'r done.
  • emmettb
local events build to the large event. $2 mil a year, impressive :)
  • raybeattie
We are in the communication business, perfect. Just go out and talk to people.
  • yitz613
Go tell the world about your opportunity, and then sort thru the world. This is the process. Let's all go out there and do it...
  • seija

"There are no secrets. Find something you believe in and make up your mind to go tell the world about it!"
  • gkamlm
Great to hear from BK and Tom that the good old fashioned basics still are the heartbeat of network marketing.
  • Live events are key to developing relationships and to your business. Building for a larger event also helps spur your team into action between events.
  • crwood1967
Live events are important and are the glue that keep people going. Talking with people and shaking hands is an import part of what this business is about. Thanks Eric
  • Inger
Be easy to talk to, communicate with others is important in life. It's about relationships and keeping relationships. Be a good friend.
  • Home events are huge!
  • jean_albert
No secrets, make it happen by telling the world & live events where like-minded people can gather together, especially weekly home events. Thanks,
  • Darnell
This type of excellence will only come thru gatherings face to face and/or one on one with prospects and with those of like-mind and not thru a monitor!! Relational skills and communication are vital indeed!! Thanks so much!!
  • #272 communication and meetings
In the whole population, very few people are great at putting together great parties. That’s like the equivalent of NM meetings - they could be fun or somewhat dull. So if the ability to put on great meetings is a prerequisite for success, then that limits the possible number of successful NM people.
  • drkay
Communication skills... easy to talk to. Love it. All about relationships... hard to do them online. Thanks. Very helpful.
  • lauralopez
Networkmarketing is a Communication, Relationships and events business...that´s the reason that I like to do things that I enjoy...and I can help people around the world

Some people just will not see it.
  • Maxwellhealth
Relationships....Trust....Face To Face......trust many ae learning that it is important to get away from the computer screen and SEE THE PROPLE
  • We are in the communication business. As BK said, do something that you believe in, and tell the world about it. And the better you can communicate and relate to people, the more success you will find in your business. Thanks!
  • bethascoli
It's good that BK has experience in the industry and seems to know what is important in the business. Seems like a great guy too, thanks for having him on!
  • claralondono
old fashion,,new fashion..relationship building is key through any means and I have realized that this is important to many aspects of life, not only business. Thank you
  • Jose Lopez
Tools, events and recognition !! Whay a simple yet powerful concept! No wonder why he makes 2 mill a year. Will love to have him on the show !!!
  • Agneta Rebo
Building good relationship is a really nice way to get your income :)
  • We build the business online most of the time, but to get this "real" connection you have to meet in real life! And the best way to do that is in Events. Events is the glue that makes people stay together and you build relationships for life!
  • Interesting, interesting, interesting.
    ~
  • Ryan
Online is the tool to build relationships.
  • I like this guy!
  • Marion
Communication & Sorting business, also that the key is face to face not Social Media. I like that!
Live events definitely get one motivated.
  • keithraines
Tools events and recognition. Good advice.
Relational marketing - its difficult to cultivate a relationship via phone and computer screen. There must be a "touch" element to this biz
  • Another great installment.
I totally agree that network marketing is a relationship business. Nothing else than that.
The tools we use for building relationships must be used appropriately both online and offline for our success. Thanks again.

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

  • travelprohawaii
Allright!!! I am doing more events so I know I am on my way!!!

There is something quite magical about attending events and the living energy that is present.
It is simply the best natural fuel available!
  • up close and personal - do the events
  • Damijan81
Im with BK on the home meeting events over the social media. It so much easier to have a few of your friends and family come over for a presentation and is easily duplicatable as well.
  • Ria Leermakers
    Thanks for sharing
  • Personal relationships out weigh the social media in my book.
  • susanclark
#272 - BK Boreyko Interview 2 of 4 - BK says the one abiliity that is the top skill is the ability to communicate. It's all about relationship building. I am not sure where social media fits in with this but I am still not convinced that social media replaces getting together as BK says with 4, 6, 8, 10 people in a home. Amen.
  • A million dollar a year earner tell me once that meetings work so well because a Network Marekting business is usually an impulse buy. Do you feel that's true?
  • always building towards the next event.
  • Bernadette
the big events keep me going. You get to meet the CEO, top money earners and people on your team. It really builds enthusiasm.
  • billrogers
Great segment. Communication, the main spoke in the wheel.
  • bartonmurray
thanks-easy-going, happy go lucky and be a relater...important point is that it is a skill that can be developed
  • Simon_and_Lia_NL
well said, we are in relational business. I agree on that, let us not 'hide' behind the computerscreen, but go out and make relationships. It might take a bit longer, but builds a lot stronger. That is a better way for the world and lot more fun to do.
Also the home-events are cornerstone, indeed and they build relationships stronger. Good words! thx

  • mariasiro
Thank you for a good show
  • peterburrows
Oh you guys have just summed up everything I have been thinking about social media.
It has been bugging the life out of me, to the point of packing it in.....
Instead....I'm gonna tell the world, it's social, not marketing media.
how many of my facebook would I phone.... 5%..... sadly.
  • theuns
Thanks Eric I love to hear BK point of view about Sosial media cos i do have Good results on Social media,
Yes Events is Key and there for a say thank you for Skype Group calls for my team and online meetings
There is a good and bad thing in every thing but if you over come the bad things you can make a success with what ever ROM you use , It can be online and offline what you do, do it every day and success will follow you.

It is all about a mindset and what we all sit with and that is the power of your mind and that you can use for online and offline and offline marketing, What you think about you bring about that is the bottom line.

Eric One of my best and most committed Down line I met on Social media he live in Tampa US and I live in South Africa and our relationship is the best I ever have with any down line ... so don't kick Social media like Facebook and the rest away it do have its place also it just depends on how you use it and your Mind set...

Thanks BK I love what you say

    Regards
    Theuns
  • Home event is the key and the most effective way to build your business and bring them then to larger regional, international events!

He's right. In home presentations are so key. The get the most done the fastest.
  • martinvf
Events are important, but good events are key.
Events for training, motivation, recognition, news, strategies, relationships, personal development, get excited, and party !!! =o)

    Saludos from Aguascalientes, Mexico.
  • carolmcwilliams
Nice to hear confirmation from top earners that building relationships is the key to success in this business. Communication that inspires and motivates is the basic skill. Goes back to Les Brown interview and how we need to get good at telling stories. Curious about the feeling of using the internet and social media. This seems to not play a big part compared to driving people to events. (I was wondering if events is old school for NM and that people are tired of that approach to building a business.)
  • Being a great promoter and building to events is a great skill to master in Network marketing.
  • Matt Genet
Do something you believe in and tell the world about it.
  • Communication and relationship are key the tools and events are added pieces to success.
  • I really enjoyed this segment of the interview. On line, meetings, events, the bottom line is communication. Thanks Eric.
  • mrmauriocrawford
Way to network Eric... Booking Tom for an interview. Cant wait to see his interview. I totally agree...tools, events...& recognition are key, vital, life blood of our industry.
  • Ngoc Tran
I do agree that communication with a clear mind is the key of all matters.
  • Tools and Events, Tools and Events, Tools and Events... That's what it's all about!
  • Tarashon Broomes
i think big events help people see the bigger picture, but home events is a great idea too. i agree that you build your business with events which can also help you get some momentum as well.
  • tambry
Being able to relate to people is a huge skill - I agree.
  • denisekay
Looking for the gift of gab...
  • Eric, Love it, Communication is key. We must be easy to talk to and friendly to everyone. I think we must be real and want to help people. People can sense our real desire and if its all about us they will know it. Building for live events this is a must and live events keep us part of.
  • dstfa96
I agree 100% with BK....we are in the communication business and we need to be easy to talk to and relate with people and when we do this on a consistent basis we will become financially free, live the lifestyle of our dreams and create generational wealth.
  • caronwashington
Communication and relationship building are key. I like the fact he talked about the home meetings and events being necessary. Im sure social media will be touched because sometimes people hide behind the computer
  • Jillian
Amazing phenomenon - same stories from top earners - face to face still outweighs the social media passive stuff.
  • racingworm
Communication , talking to someone, getting out of the old comfort zone. It takes a lot of practice to feel comfortable about talking to someone you don't know, but all the hard work makes the person.
  • HoracioMejia
Being able to communicate and to relate with people is the most wanted skill, however, is the least achieved skill. The majority of problems between people is because of lack of communication. This is not only the one skill in Network Marketing. I agree is the ultimate skill to succeed in life.
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hola Eric, Good Interview, i just want to ask you something, How can i do to enroll more people, i have a new job because i earn only 10 dollars a month, i cant´live with that, if i am correct, i don´t do MLM as the way i need to do it ok? Help me.
    Saludos.

  • karivankleef
Great interview. Communication is the key to success in all aspects of your life.
  • Gateway: Burning desire, willing to work, being coachable.

One skill? We're in the communication business, be able to relate to people. Do something you believe in, make your mind up you are going to tell the world about it. Importance of live events: need to gather with other people at special events; home events are the cornerstone. PRefer live events (over internet) since we are in teh relational business. Three eleemnts: tools, live events and recognition. Progress form home eevnt to monthly event to regional event to national event.

Eric note: your side of the audio is weak on the skype interviews- noticed that on other interviews.
  • margarethockaday
Communication is the key. Talk to people and build a relationship with them.
  • brianhepner
Basics and what struck me as great is all the fun they were having working hard!
  • TAbrams
From all the top money earners and top producers you hear the same thing over and over. This business is a belly to belly, face to face, relationship business.

I believe what BK stated to be so true - one of the top skills for someone in our profession has to be being able to communicate and relate to people, you have to be easy to talk to.

We are in a people business, and live events bring people together, allow them to get recognized, learn and grow.

I look at live events in our profession as the "gas station" the 98% Unleaded gas. You need these events once a qtr or a few times a year to "refuel". To fill up the tank, and recharge the battery. Just as a car can only go so many miles on a tank of gas, live events in our profession take us further and allow individuals to push ahead and drive further.

  • Cee_G
Once again reinforcing the basics. Build relationships. Use events. Looking forward to more. Thanks, Eric!
  • Paco_Carreno
Sorting business, communication business, understanding that what come across our way as distributors is just part of the process... I think, once again, from a experienced voice as Boreyko and Alkazin... these ara the real fundamentals... the core ideas. Thank you!
  • I remember my very first live event, 9 years ago: I had been in the business for 2-3 weeks, and was told by my sponsor that there was a small evening event coming up and it was important for me to go. It was on a thursday evening at 6 pm. and 270 km from home...
I finnished early at work and drove for 3 hours to that 3 hours evening event. Most people would not have done it..
It was an eye opener for me; a small meeting 50 -60 people, I told my product story in front of them all, thought I would faint of nervousity - but I didn´t, I enjoyed it! Meeting these people, seeing their enthusiasm and passion was a kick for me.
I was able to meet some of the leaders, shake their hands and see them in their eyes. "Seeing is beliving" - and on my 3 hours drive back home I made the DESICION: "I am in NM for the rest of my life"
  • This is good.
Wish you had gone more into social media.
Greatest asset: being able to relate to people. No secret to success. Just do what you believe in.... by relating to people, you can find out what they believe in....
  • ericworre
    that's coming tomorrow
  • karenandian
Another great interview! We are truly in a relationship business! The fact that there is no secret to success - we all have the ability - we need to go out there and make it happen. Do something you believe in and make your mind up to tell the world! Not everyone will be interested and that is OK. It doesn't mean you stop telling the world.
  • peterragg
If you become a Network Marketing Professional I believe your teams will be more successful. Your aim is to create a NMP university for your downlines, 21st Century NM demands this, (this is Eric's philosophy is it not).

Therefore we need to do things differently, it is not a numbers game, because the failure rate of that philosophy is too high and it gives NM a bad name and isn't it the point of this website to raise the profile of the industry. So as I have said we need to do things differently that guarantees a higher success rate. This is not rocket science, 90% failure rate is not acceptable.

My philosophy it to make sure the prospect has the three requirements to work the business, you know what they are. If they do not have them do not recruit them because you are wasting your time. Everything else fits around the three core attributes. Our Team is working to a 50-50 goal. I will let you know how we get on. In the meantime, go for pro.

One thing I have found I am now spending far less time on social marketing and guess what I am far more successful. The reason for this is I have found out that many many people are now outsourcing their Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin accounts to third party geeks and nerds, what is that all about? You do not know who you are communicating with a lot of the time. Lets get some discussion going on this.

    Very kind regards
    Peter Ragg
  • Lisette
    I need the events,
    to fill up my energy,
  • kgadol
As always, the insight is valued and appreciated.
  • rayrios
A challenge in itself when others refuse to stay in the communication link. However, how beautiful it is, when we are able to cooperate and communicate. Thanks Eric.
  • We are in communication, sorting business. Understand and adapt that you will be rejected , it is part of the business.
  • Hi Eric! We've discussed this before about networking Online and I am still convinced that you can build your business Online. In Sweden and in all of Scandinavia, the home-party-building business doesn't work that well. Though I think that is important to understand that it isn't easy. You need a great system that is duplicable ande you need a leader with experience and knowledge to be able to make it work. We have a great teamleader, with a great ammount of experience and she made a system so attractive that we have very few drop-outs. Being a product of her system I know that you can make it work, even Online. However, I have never ever EVER said that you can exclude events from your NM-business. The events are crucial for being able to take teammembers and prospects "from hope to belief" and they are all important. Local, Regional, National or Worldwide - The events are SO important and cannot be ignored, even if you build a NM-business Online. / Linda, Sweden

    - And thank you BK Boreyko for your Tip. Kiyosaki is one of my favourite-authors and I've just finished "The Business School - for people who like helping people" and it made me love NM even more. So I recommend it for all of you reading this!
  • This guy seems to be the first one who talks about the fact that we have to be "likeable." That's his bottom line and he works from there....I agree...but not all of us are likeable with immediacy.
  • janetrajala
Relationship building is still at the heart of this industry. Build to events!
  • Sift and sort to find the gold. Great training, thanks Eric! :-)
  • germarl
We are in the 'person to person' business !!
  • Bjorgli
Communication is always a clue and not as easy as it seem to be.
  • Jeroen Lingier
I love the church analogy, eventhough European churches are quite empty, I understand that mind likeness helps to build your company.
    Greetings, from Flanders, Belgium.
  • gillym1
Brilliant! And I totally agree - relationships and face to face contact builds a business better than any other way!
  • hcapcarp
While I do believe events have their place, there is a lot of bells whistles and hoopla that has little to do with building a business. I enjoy listening to those who have great accomplishments and I want what they have what is often left out at big events is the daily grind, the tenacity, determination and disipline necessary to achieve the highest rankings.
  • I love the analogy of church. We go to company events to hang out with like-minded people. There is a lot of positive energy when like-minded people come together and are on the same path. Great things can happen.
  • Earl
Relationships and events... does it get any better!
  • timandtricia
Great two-for-one session. How can you argue with success. It's a people business and while the internet has a place it is not the panacea. Events bring people together and are the foundation of all the really successful, long-term network marketing businesses I've ever heard about.
  • There you go. Home meeting, build to local monthly meeting and into regional quarterly or half yearly then a national annually - just like Eric said at New Year. One thing that I'd been missing though with all of this is the absolute importance of pre-qualifying the prospect. If they aren't looking you just bug them and devalue your opportunity. Pre-qualification is really important. As Dan MacCormick said at the GoPro event, you can;t say the wrong thing to the right person. We have to find those people - THEN - do the home meeting etc. (or at least find a couple otherwise you risk wasting everyone's time).
  • totally agree, great comments
  • germanjaramillo
Relationships, make friends and asist to company and team events and make volume are the basis of the mlm business.

    Have a great day.

    Today again from Cali, Colombia,

    -GJ
  • I'm looking fwd to hearing more from Mr. Alkazin
  • garyparmenter
Events are the cornerstone of the network marketing business!
  • Build realationships first then create business partners, this is a people business built on trust.
  • Although I love the internet and how it helps to communicate (ie NMPro), it seems ALL of the top earners build their businesses offline.

I would bet though that Eric has recruited quite a few people because of NMPro, perhaps people who had never heard of him until now. By the way I think this is totally fair and Eric should be rewarded for all his efforts, but it does prove that the internet does have its place in the recruitment process.
  • It's a relational marketing, and it's hard to build this business online. I was trying to do it online, it was so tiresome for me that I choose classical way: meetings, talking face to face and on the phone.
  • There is a 90% FAILURE rate I hear in Network Marketing and that is with current business model of face to face meetings. That tells me that a whole lot of people are meeting face to face and not enough relationships are being built. It is not about where you meet...it's about what type of relationship is built from that meeting. For things to change in this Industry... the Philosophy of the Industry has to change. The SW SW SW Next Philosophy has to be the first to GO, because no one wants to take the time with people to teach and show them the World of Network Marketing. There is too much SORTING and not enough caring and patience to teach people the way. If you have a person who has been in Corporate america most of his/her life and then comes to Network Marketing, it is going to take a lot of patience and care until that person is re-programmed. This Industry isn't into re-programming, so this person will be left to FAIL. This has to change or things will remain the same.
  • hpena
I was one week old in this Industry when I was "dragged" to my first big event. My belief level changed immediately. To this day I credit that event as a defining moment in my 10 years in this profession.

    Nando
  • MarvinTowler
We are in the communication business. Being easy to talk to is a huge skill!
  • "I still get people who say no to me." This was really great to hear because I think so many new people think that just because someone is a top leader or even the company founder, that they always get a 'yes.'
  • MagnusEdvald
    Good interview
  • chipc
I was interesting to hear BK say that he gets rejection too. And this guy is living proof of this industry.
  • Steve_Nelson
I heard Jack Canfield say, " SW, SW, SW, SW! Some Will, Some Won't, So What, Someone's Waiting!"

As long as I know that it's part of the process, it's not disappointing when someone's not interested.

    Today is a great day!
  • Miguel Cortez
This is old school.... It the way Amway build there busy and look how Big they Now.... ( im not an Amway networkmarker) @ one time i was... :) and i still build my bussiness the Amway way... LOL
  • $2 Million a year, I will be there someday!!
  • daddykekere
Tom confirms the online thing just as you've said Eric. Hook up with people on line to get to know them, build a friendship, but should ultimately lead to a one-on -one conversation on the phone or face to face to build a business relationship. Thanks.
  • SW-SW-SW- Some Will- Some Won't-So What - NEXT!!
  • jpmendoza
Rejection is hard to take, but know that this happens to everyone, even the top guys get rejected & they just go to the next person.
  • dougharkins
Keeping it simple, by plugging them in with home meetings, then a monthly event followed with an annual event and then a national event. I like that information. Thanks Eric.
  • That's Gold. "I don't think he knows what Skype is". Think about it.
  • Irina
Communication is key to this business.
  • Pete
Our team was just talking about this today. You add credibility to our discussion. Great timing!!
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
    Another Gem today
  • The sorting process, some get in, some don't, next.... and the more focused the sorting the easier it becomes. When I have attempted to induce a person with neutral interest into having more I can ruin my day.... and theirs. Finding people who 'get it' and want more of 'it' is where the fun is for me.
  • rasdaniels
Would love to hear more. I agree Home Events I get more people out than Hotel Events; but I participate in both
  • At a live event you feel more involved and meet many like minded friends.
  • Thank you Eric
  • maariee
    Interesting! Thank you
  • eddyoshaughnessy
Tools , events & recognition , simple strategy
  • Kjell Englund
My conclusion is: Network Marketing Professional do it everywhere =)
  • Good advice BK! Tom Alkazin puts on a great event and has a great system!
  • going to an event for the first time in a long time late april and am excited to see, feel and part a part of the energy.
  • It starts with going out and talking to people to get them to a home event, then a bigger events.
  • latachia_2
Defining Skill: Comunication,Reltionships& relate with people, sort through & find people that are ready.
Importance of Live Events: Importantant to gather with like minded people& to talk about stratigies. The regular events& conventions are heart of industry. It's all about relationships.
  • SJ Doug
    Interesting
  • wouterdeprez
It would be very interesting to hear how that process of home meetings, events,... work in detail!

I do not know if I can do this, but here is the link of the last event we did in Ecuador http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL7NOFxFp70

    Enjoy
  • Nah, you can't really "do this" 'cos it's advertising a particular company. Take a de-merit. Love the music though ;-)
  • Very powerful Eric.

If all we did was follow this advice and stayed focused, we would see massive success in our business.
  • juanfernandogutierrez
I agree events are a great way to get motivated all the peolple, does not matter in wich rank they are.

And for prospects is incredible, because they get related/connect with people in the business
  • krisic
Hi Eric! Thanks for having BK on this week. I think that's really cool he got the Charloote Bobcats on their product. Events are the key.
  • carybennett
Another Great show Eric. Thanks so much have a safe trip today.
  • pollyhulseman
I loved the big tait of the $2 million dollar earner is he is easy to talk to. You can feel that even in his little cameo appearance.
  • chocolatelifesaver
Great info, but am I the only one getting a lot of feedback and video blips during the viewing of this. It repeats when I try to replay it. This happens on Boreyko's side only.

  • ericworre
Something happened when we were recording it. Sorry about that. I really is annoying.
  • Been listening to the GoPro audio today about pessimists, realists and visionaries - chuckling about "Eric Math" great stuff. Like being back in the room. Rock and Roll EW.
  • coltsco
Very timely information for me today. I just received a rejection that had a little sting to it and needed to hear again that everybody gets rejections.
  • Love the repetition of the message..or at least the consistency! The enemy often lies within as people struggle with their own beliefs about being shot down...even BKB...and Eric...look at their credentials...look at their skill level...look at their incomes!?* Keep these stories coming...just love them and am inspired to do my best every day with these kind of role models!
  • Bryan_in_KC
We have taken steps to have our own live events and it is paying off in a big way. Just do it.
  • kgoren
It makes us feel better to know that even the big guns get turned down. Rejection is tough sometimes, but knowing that it's just part of the business. And if you just keeping on truckin', you'll eventually get to where you want to be.
  • bryantkeefe
A Man/Family earns over $2M a year in the network marketing business and people still balk at a presentation. People still say this can't work...The business works great but do you? I love the product placement BK!
  • ritafulton
Amazing how all the interview"ees" we have heard are of the same mindset..relationship business..even when there are differences in how to establish them.

    Thanks Eric, BK and Tom.
  • talya_mitzafon
i'm looking forward to the 3rd part of the intervew.
  • patrickmcfeely
This is all good, but with out Action there is nothing.
Thank you for your time Eric
  • jeffreyhall
Back to the basics, it is interesting how the same message is repeated by virtually all guests - It is a relationship business, face to face, belly to belly.
  • NANCY ELDRED
Great interview - again what's really important is .. talking to people - talking to people - talking to people - getting to know each other - establishing trust = building strong relationships

Most of all have fun with all this - it comes through in the words we say and how we say them. I like what BK that ... 'he's easy to talk to'

  • Foord Yates
And... its not an event unless it's an EVENT!!!
  • I agree a big event might be a relaxed casual meeting at your home with a small group. You just might find a future star in that kind of setting more hands on one on one.
  • Foord Yates
As always, communication is the key to getting across the line, and getting your message across to an audience of one or an audience of many. But those who communicate with integrity have a better chance of being heard, not just listened to.

    Foord Yates.
  • chriskemp817
BK says he still gets turned down when presenting the business. It happens to everyone. Tom telling about building relationships. Good stuff!
  • quintaser
"Rejection is part of the business"
I think that we must to learn to deal with it, overcome what ever feeling it produces in us, and learn something out of each experience. And grow as networkers and as persons.

From Puebla Mexico, I am Sergio Quintana, MLM Pro
  • Make a decision and then tell the world. Ding-ding-ding.
  • FrankMarshman
Another wonderful interview. The thing that stands out in my mind is that this is just a sorting business. We are looking for people at 12 o'clock. Just realize that there are 5-6 billion people out there and we are looking for only a few hands full. It becomes much easier with that in mind. Still isn't that easy but easier.
  • Consistent and various forms of communication are indeed important.
  • hlj521
Awesome. This is so true, stay out in the world...not to hide behind technology. Events are so key to getting people in front of your opportunity. Talk to people.
  • agelfederico
I will keep on working on my people skills, thank you very much
  • Lorraine
comes down to communicating with others.
  • Gakungu
That's true. Communication is key to this business because you are sharing the information and take rejections like vitamins. Live events are commendable. They keep you charged up in the business and you get to meet other incredible people who are leaders in this business and get to learn something from them.
  • jerryscribner
Looking forward to the remainder of the interview
  • carolbarrett
This really is a relationship business, how true. Events are important cornerstone to building the business.
  • As the Professionals say: We are in the business of rescuing people. Red Pill/Blue Pill...
  • carolbarrett
    Red pill please.
  • jlconner
Relationship business. How true. Build the relationship and then build the business.
  • Dee_Canada
Good Morning Eric & NWM Pro folks!!

The message that I get is that there are a few ways to build relationships and nuture them...but however you Do it...you just have to DO it. Build relationships. People's timing will be right or it won't. Get out there!
  • Fired Up and Focused!
    Alex Tita
    Here as promised
  • I enjoyed this very much: three very different men talking about the business, not, necessarily, being fond of events or meetings but agreeing to their utmost importance. I often joke about NM being liike a religion: it makes you a better person; you learn to help other people; we all get together to edify and recharge...the difference is that we are taught to make money, too. I love the combination.
  • brigittapatel
The message I seem to be getting "Just do it and run with it"
    Thanks a million
  • It's amazing how many top earners look at the internet. They are correct, however I have met some of my best partners online so I guess it's always a matter of right place, right time :-)
  • Mailen
Face to face with people .... event...small or large . Be honest.
  • Katie N
Great interview,it is funny how not all top earners feel the same about events, but the basics are agreed upon...coachability,desire,ability to relate to people.
  • Episode 63 of Eric Worre's 100 Episode Throw Down Challenge:

Brilliant!! Face to face, belly to belly to success. NM may be the last business model to stay a person to person business.
  • anthonyviglietta
It just goes to show you. Some people will get it, and some won't. When BK Boreyko sometimes can't get people to see it, and he's a giant in the industry, that should tell you something. And when Tom added his input, he reiterated the fact that this is a relationship business, and that spamming people online DOES NOT WORK! Great interview so far.
  • randyhendrickson
Face to face I believe is the best tool to share our opportunities. I do however believe there are millions of people who would rather use technology to build a business, therefore you should use that tool as well.
  • enrique62
    This is a relationship business
  • drmikempa
    Can't wait till part 3.
  • Great interview thus far ... as I expected. Again we hear it and I believe it ... the internet is an excellent communication tool, but not a very good relational tool - at least from the standpoint of duplication and team building. Belly to belly is STILL where it's at!

    Best,
    Scott
  • Get off the computer and go out and talk to people!!!!!

    DO IT NOW!!
  • soxfan071
In the early stage of our business we use what we have available to us. I think people are more likely to feel a part of something if they can attend an event no matter how big or small it is. Long distance relationships are not easy but they can be made by keeping the line of communication open.
  • The ability to talk to people is a must-have. For any new (or "old") person, I recommend, in addition to Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" as a must-read.
Loved the analogy of live events being like going to church, an analogy my upline has used. Very effective!
  • tomlacey
The relationships are the heart of the business id truly one significant key to success.
  • Just keep doing it, online, offline. Start a relationship and keep building that relationship...
  • Yes, communication... and not forgetting listening with your heart. ;-)
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
Communication is key – being able to relate with people.

I write down / take notes about what I learn – like this here.

So we are in the sorting business.
Live events are, as a gathering of like-minded people, the corner-stone of success in NM.

Who agrees with the ‘big thumbs down to online’? Certainly, most agree with Eric regarding the ‘MLM idiots’ who do the network marketing business no favours, who are not doing the business as we have been taught.

And yes, this is a ‘relationships business’ – is it best to build your network using events and face to face and live meetings or has it been proven that online relationships and information sharing can work? As with Tom Alkazin’s son who, like it is for most of us in the older generation, knows more about and successfully uses new technology in ways we could never have imagined, there is, perhaps, a ground swell towards the use of online tools to bring about success.

Yet, as it is with the relationship we all have and enjoy with Mr Eric Worre, the person in all of this must remain the key to great communication skills which we can then learn, practice and teach. It is always best to meet people in person.

    Thanks again Eric

    Mark,
I agree about the online thing, however I am beginning to wonder if that is going to continue to be as true in the future. As I watch my 5 children, ages 20-27, and all their friends who live in the text world, I wonder if that will be more relevant in the future. Digital technology has changed the world so dramatically in the past 25 years that I don't know if I hold any of the "truths" to be self evident any more.
    Frank
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
Hiya Frank - it's great to meet you...appreciate the comment. Like I said, there is a groundswell and the true effects and affects of the new and yet to be developed digital technology can only be imagined. Yet we must imagine the years ahead, adopt a visionary stance. The kids in school today will be retiring into the next century – what will our world have become by then. So, sticking to the guns...the network marketing professional must indeed uphold basic principles...it is about relationships, friendships and partnerships etc. However, with certain liens in place, I do believe that the future of successful networking and network marketing will become more and more via an online experience and the right applied attitudes. The global market, after all, awaits ... it is for the right people to develop the skills and to use existing or yet to be developed software to enhance, safeguard and secure the online experience, to make it work, to make it viable. Sustainability issues, for instance requiring less travel and more use of online conferencing or meetings (like webinars but more interactive) will define the future in this arena, the theatre of network marketing.
Mostly, applying ethical purpose, this business remains as ‘all about right people.’ I am glad to have met one such individual in your good self.
    All the best,
    Mark

    Thanks Mark,

I concur with you thinking. It too is nice to meet you, again on line. So, if we can develop a relationship this way could not the future generations do the same thing. After all I've never met Eric Worre except through the NMP series. Yet I have develop a trust bond with him that what he is teaching is valid and I am investing my time and money into those methods he teaches. Implied than is that anyone who is part of the NMP family can probably be trusted. ie you and me.

    Just food for thought.

    Frank
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
    Hi Frank,
Having consumed your food for thought I offer this 'farewell for now' thought.
The network marketing business is indeed about that relationship factor and we do share our developed trust and bond with others, including Eric.

And, given that, in any business, money has to change hands it can be this that makes the difference between online relationships and face to face relationships.

Perhaps, what with all the online financial transactions in today’s world, this is becoming less of an issue – so long as the systems work and are well designed.
Yet, to develop a global business, this ‘money changing hands’ factor probably creates the biggest hurdle.
As someone who is habitually careful, I needed to build my trust in network marketing before I climbed on board. It would have easier to say “no thanks”. I took a risk but mostly I trusted my sponsor – eye to eye – and the team into which I was buying.

So Eric and others are correct, we must learn and practice with real people – belly to belly – and then we may become response-able enough to create online partnerships across the globe, linking up and proving to all who ‘will not let little things get in the way of great opportunities’ that it is a stone cold fact, WE HAVE A BETTER WAY.
Eric and others are setting the scene to enable this so Thanks Again Eric.
    And thanks Frank

Events are the heart of this business. That is true for all the professionals it seems. Online seems to be a starter approach for people, but it will never overtake the relationship concept of this business. I can't wait to see the rest of this interview and also to see Tom Alkazin's interview too.
  • I'm not so sure you can't build a pretty good reationship online with video conferencing etc. I've said it before, I got to know and like Eric through this long before I met him and I could only meet him briefly because his time is precious and I haven't earned it yet. I think you can also bond with people through their audio - I never met Jim Rohn but he rocked my world via the airwaves through his recordings.
  • I believe strongly in building the in person relationship, but it isn't a lock someone will become your business partner. I feel you have to at least stay open to Technology. It doesn't matter where you meet, but if that meeting can be turned into a relationship. It is all about relationship building. I can see people meeting online locally and building a relationship over time where it is taken off line to do business. It may work better in your local market than abroad, but I can see business done this way. There are Diamonds online as well as offline. It is our job to go where ever they are.
  • We're in the communication industry, I like that. Over and over again.....events makes money! Great compliment for those very professional guys you're interviewing Eric. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Erik
Many good points, but I belive in hotel events at least 2 times per month.
