    Yes, this help. Thank you.
  • aliceflanders
Called a new member last night. She told me that she has decided to work as a helper for her aunt instead of as a rep for me.
  • aliceflanders
I always wonder how involved to be. Should I get more involved, or less?
  • Jonathan
Every little victory counts so keep adding them up and it will lead to success. :)
  • jeanalbert
Pay attention to the small victories. Acknowledge and applaud them. And get your new teammates to get their own copy of Go Pro:-)
  • hpena
Now that I think about it, that's a very good point. Some of the small victories that equaled long term commitment actually came from the new reps' exposure to personal development. In some cases, them reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill or "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" had more of an impact then them getting promoted to the next rank.

  • Guide them to have some success soon and share the moment with them. Then do it again.
  • martinvf
    How to retain your group.
keep them in the game. Get them to reach goals quickly, small ones or big ones. The idea is to keep on growing, and they realize they can grow a biz my their own with your help on a part time basis. That atracts more people and retains the team.
  • veronikakari
That is good point, in my case, I have figoure out everything by my self and getting tired of that.
  • jlt0wn
just like breaking a project down into small tasks - achieving small successes early on will help to create larger opportunities & greater success. Thank you.
  • Earl
Small successes quickly! It teaches them that this CAN work for them!
  • lisabooth
That is true and I've seen it work! What about the ones that don't see that success right away? If it has been months and they keep saying they are going to work but don't? How much do you work with them and when do you let them go?
  • Alfie
Great! Small success is big with the new associates. It's a good culture to implement.
  • enrique
Thanks for remind us about training.-Go Pro
  • coltsco
Thanks for the reminder. I'm taking my copy of Go Pro to my new team member tomorrow and listening to one cd at a time with her. Sorry, but she can't yet afford to buy it for herself.
  • Ammie Bella
ur one nice friend indeed, at least u get to help ur girl friend build business by lending her the Go Pro cd. wish i have a same friend like. :)
  • It is so important when someone comes in to get them engaged as quickly as possible. Training and plugging people into live events is also a great way to increase retention.
  • crwood1967
Quick, quick, quick. This sounds like a great thoughts and direction for us. You hit the nail on the head.
  • Inger
The sooner you help people to reach a small success the longer they will stay in the business.
  • mspaulamc
So true .. as a sponsor you should feel a re"spons"ibility to your new person and there is a balance to be sought in this alliance/partnership. Learn to anticipate what your new person is facing and guide them along that path you have taken.

I just love when SOMETHING happens for a new person I have been working with .. they get so excited and so do I! I always end up being sponsored all over again!!! Because, of course, THIS is truly a better way!
  • Thanks for the insight. Not hard just have to do it.

  • Lotta
Thank you this I will take whit me small victories. It is importent
  • chriskemp817
Getting everybody off to a quick start certainly makes sense.
  • Hi Eric,

Great tip on how to get new people going and keep the momentum up.
I agree that they totally need to have some type of quick victory to help them solidify their believe in what they have just gotten themselves started with. They also need to have a realistic understanding of what it takes to be successful in network marketing.

    Thanks again.

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,
    -ed
  • Alfredo L
    Great Eric, thanks.
  • karivankleef
Thank you. Small successes are so important when getting started. Otherwise I believe you just never get started.
  • Donal
It's very good to have a small goal to start with so when they get, the will see the bigger picture.
  • awesome, I cant wait to embark on this challenge! Before you said the point of this exercise was to get our thoughts on paper, as a sort of journal exercise, I thought the point would be to demonstrate being consistent. A big part of network marketing is being consistent, so I think another value this exercise offers is to show how we forget sometimes to work our business every day, week, and month of the year and stay focused and committed. Posting everyday and making a commitment can show how we are hot on the idea at the beginning but also shows how many get across the finish line, which I believe we all can relate to in network marketing.

  • Darnell
Loving the short and to the point yet effective advice to get members of one's team/organization to achieve a small victory to keep them revved up and in the game without losing steam or momentum!! Thanks so much Eric!!
  • I believe that small victories are critical in developing the confidence of new associates. Coming into anything new or foreign, there is always an element of doubt. They are wondering if they really can do this.

How many times have you been 'courted' by salespeople that are your 'best friend' until you buy something? Or you get caught up in one of the online product launches with emails and video about the latest and greatest product or information to help you make money. And then, it all stops. Once the sale has been made it's like all of the energy was put into getting you to pull out your wallet. Then, you never hear anything from them until they have something else to sell.

Is that how you run your network marketing business? What is your responsibility as a sponsor? Sure, you hope that you've just brought on a real leader and go-getter that doesn't really need your help. But most people are looking for a mentor or a coach to help them build a real business that will get them what they want out of life. By sponsoring someone into your business you are telling them that you will help them.

At a minimum, your goal should be to help your new business partner get into action to make back his or her initial investment AND generate enough cash flow to cover their autoship and monthly marketing costs. If you can help them get to this point, then they will know their business is real. And they know that they can do it - and that you are there to help and support them in making their life better.
  • rmonte
I love your little victories concept and your Go Pro materials. Thanks
  • DancingWithJoy
I'm just viewing this video, but I'm in for the challenge. This is huge for me. I usually do not do challenges. Most of my life, challenges appeared to be confrontative, a put down , a prove to me that you are good enough kind of thing. My automatic response: to not just participate! Simply because I approve of myself even if the other does not! This challenge, however, I perceive as non-confrontative, a willingness to inspire those of us who want a different, better life. It's a good "feel". Thanks.
  • BetterCoffee.dk

Like you say in Go Pro; "Treat your new people like premies."
Walk them thru the first weeks to make sure they do the right things at the right time so they get some victories.
  • Agneta Rebo
This is something I will really focus on, making sure that new people gets their own small victoies.
  • This is right, they need to be exposed to the business and learn as much as possible, and listen to a lot of stories from successful people to learn and to build confidence.
  • The role of the leader is to help those that they lead achieve early, small victories to help them overcome the many pressures that will be brought against them and teach them the skills they need to stay in the game and succeed. GoPro is brilliant and I completely agree that it will make the biggest difference to teams. I think the key is for the leader to work solidly with the new recruit until they get their first five people in the business established and replicating. Lest man buildeth on a strong foundation - so shall he labour in vain. Too many "salesmen" recruit a load of people them leave them to die - which eventually kills their business too and damages the profession.
  • alltheverybest
Small victory together with GoPro....sounds like a very strong formula.
  • Tarashon Broomes
i agree a quick small victory within the first 7 days is key.
  • Victories are like the baby steps suggested in "What About Bob" a small step in the right direction results in a huge step of self esteem
  • On today's show in few words: LEAD BY EXAMPLE. :)
  • ablongo
I agree with your comment on new people seeing results quickly. I didn't realize this early on and lost some good people. If people don't feel successful fairly soon, they talk themselves out of doing MLM - it's too hard, it doesn't work, etc. Simple point, but true.
  • Vince A. Giorno
It is not always easy rely on the victories as being the obtaining of new customers and/or representatives. Many people become discouraged so easily at the lack of success because they feel they are not progressing and they are not reaching any achievements. Some of these small victories can be as simple as conducting a successful presentation although no reps. or customers come from it; making a few phone calls; meeting a few people; gaining experience; reading books and listening to audio tapes from the experts. All these activities are accomplishments in their own right and you should appplaud your team for doing so.
  • timandtricia
Thanks for the insight. I always thought of the small victories for new people as sponsoring someone or helping them get a new customer. Now I realize that it can be anything the reinforces and encourages.
  • racingworm
It all comes down to what kind of leader you are and what your daily routine is.
  • This is brilliant !
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hola Eric, good show¡¡ Let´s change the page.
    Saludos.
    Daniel y Natali.
  • Eric,
I agree completely with your small victories idea. You even inspired a post on my site. Keep doing what you are doing. It is nice to see the comments from so many people from different companies. Your ideas obviously help your downline and people in other companies. MLM needs more ambassadors for the industry.

The people who think they will build their businesses with 4,000 people at every meeting and sponsoring only superstars do not understand how real success is achieved in MLM. Only marketers who consistently and diligently achieve small successes will create extraordinary profits in network marketing or make a lasting difference in the lives of their downline.

  • Thank you for this reminder. The best way to get retention is by helping new distributors have quick results with small victories, little successes, little achievements. Listening to Go Pro is a great way to power this.
  • I love the GO Pro audio's and highly recommend it to anyone who whats to develop the skills to be a network marketing professional
  • Dee_Canada
Thank you for the reminder Eric. You are systematically teaching us the important concepts of what it takes to lead people.
    Priceless!!
  • Foord Yates
    Retention earns your retainer.

    Foord Yates.
  • Lynne
Well Eric I am takiing the challenge. I missed out on the first one because I didn't find you till your 1st anniversary. But I have made Go Pro my home page so I will start my day with you:)
  • hlj521
Love GO PRO! Thank you Eric for another great show!
  • indeed, have a small success quickly is psychologically very important
it gives people the drive and the belief: hey i can do this too....
so when we start someone up they need all the support they need to get THEIR first success
  • Go Pro rocks! I teach my team to sit down or have a phone consultation with their new distributor for an hour or 2 within 24-48 hours so they can build their list and contact at least 2 people while the sponsor is there or on the phone with them. Retention increases dramatically when you do this!
  • I've been through the entire GoPro series 5 or 6 times now and my posture has changed big time. Whilst I thought I knew how to speak with people before, I am SO much better now. Because I now use the GoPro approaches, just about everyone I speak with is now open to receiving information about my business, and, most importantly, I'm very comfortable speaking to people who may have been on my 'chicken list' beforehand.

    Everyone needs GoPro. Thanks Eric
  • Results definitely build belief - I agree with Eric that this is so important.
  • Thank for those tips Eric! By the way..........I love that ring!
  • caronwashington
Just listening to this on Go Pro earlier today. This piece is so crucial to the success of the new person
  • dstfa96
As a leader I will encourage and help new business partners to achieve small victories quickly within the first week.

    Great advice Eric!!
  • Clara London
small victories it will be then for all.Thank you Eric
  • I just got a new associate into the business. i will deffinetly take your advice and use it with them. I also will be getting Go Pro very soon!!

#314 - MLM Retention Tips - The best way to have retention in your organizations is by helping new distributors have quick results. Help them have small victories, little successes, little achievements. Have them buy the Go Pro series.

When small victories compound the dividends paid are priceless. ~me
  • tambry
I started listening to GO PRO on my MP3 while walking to and from work. The other day I was walking home and just finished listening to you talk about when you were attacked by the dog when you were telling your story. I walked a little further and was busy listening to you when all of a sudden I heard growling and something grabbing at my ankles. I turned my head down to look and the dog with it's mean eyes were staring at me as he was starting to walk back into the yard of the house I was just passing. Scared me more than anything as I didn't see him coming. I just continued on listening to your great program.
  • Great advise Eric, thanks
  • CarlosVera
Small victories are always very motivating. Great tip Eric...........
  • Dear Eric, I enjoy listening to GO PRO but all my people speak Spanish...Hint, hint!
  • Eric, BamFam - Book a meeting from a meeting to keep things going and growing.
  • carybennett
Yes great tip, so very true, also even more in depth about it in Go Pro. Its a Must have.. Love it.. Thanks Eric for todays show

    MLM Retention tips NMPro#314
To get good retention from associates, get them to have some qick cmall acomplishments right away, such as selling the product or getting their first promotion. Getting them paid right away is key.
  • margarethockaday
Yes, hurray for small victories. They do add up in the long run.
  • HoracioMejia
Step by step you will get to your dreams. Little victories, with your vision and dreams always present.
  • Small victories, small successes quickly // fast feedback.
It's interesting how this has become one of the the new "Ahhah's" in trainings over the last 8 months or so (first recommended by you).
Love the analogy in GoPro (development of Rep like development of baby-thru teeneage-to adult.)
Starts with each quick step of success/victories.

  • keithraines
Help them get success quickly and encourage them
  • Ria Leermakers
Listening to Go Pro the first time, this topic was one of the points I remembered right away.
I have been using it for all my teammembers, not only the one that started a week ago.
The difficulty lays in those who are the 'posers'. They seem to give no credit to a small victory. So I have to work on that group too, maybee another way.
    Thanks for reminding.
  • bethascoli
Great tip, it's so important that they get emotionally invested in the business
  • patrickmcfeely
Your first product sale, your first team member how good did that feel
    help others get that feeling.
Thank you for your time Eric
  • Dylan Cooper
I started to realise this recently. Some very small victories can have an incredible affect. Another point I like is Randy Gage's.....that when people get their own business cards made up. That has a powerful affect on how they look at their business.
  • theuns
Thank Eric i will start to do it it make sens
  • TAbrams
That is why I believe the "system" of any company is so important as well. One foot in front of the other, and baby steps towards accelerating within the company.

We try to teach everyone s system in which they are in a position to make money within their first 3 days in the business.

Quick results no matter how small offer validation and encouragement to anyone new.
  • Miguel Cortez
It he teach of small steps.... Get a Large group of people in doing samll simple steps.. :)
  • jeffreyhall
intensive mentoring and support for new people showing them massive action has a better chance of quick results and demonstrates to the new person what they will need to do with their new people to build a strong team. Ahhhh duplication.
  • MarvinTowler
So true getting your new recruits a quick win makes the business real for them. Otherwise they develop the "see I knew it wouldn't work" attitude.
  • Bjorgli
I'll try, but I'm afraid of being to much "on them". ( Like, not again, - not that again, - not her again)
  • I totally agree. I noticed that the most successful push a person to their first success and that sure is a morale booster. Thanks Eric.
  • I can't agree w/ the concept of getting a new person results (as little as it may be) as quick as possible! and teach them to duplicate that too.

Thanks for creating Go PRO Eric....I didn't realize until more recently how spoiled I/my team is with our system of training & education we have. I can see where Go PRO is perfect for those that do not have that available to them! You are truly a great servant Leader! And like Bob Burg's book the Go Giver portrays....you WILL be rewarded for that!
  • ronaldvandomburg
    I've got the message!
  • jean_albert
Helping a new distributor to develop their prospect list, quick initial action to quick profitablity will give the new distributor belief & something to lose to stay involved.
  • great tip! Small success often inspire to great success. Get them motivated fast.
  • chocolatelifesaver
True Eric, I have found that even setting up the first presentation for them gets them into the team mode and rewarding them with products of the marketing type to continue without worrying about their supply works as well. Oh yes, I am on GoPro listen to 12th run. I still feel like a different person each time I listen to it. Great Stuff!!!
  • mariasiro
    thanks!! good point!

If the people you working with is interested in making money, its easy.
If not , it can take some time . But when they see results , they become willing to work .
You have to go to work to get paid ?
  • There should be a test group between teams using GoPro and those not.
  • Just got my cd's...am looking for forward to listening, learning and then sharing!
  • Quick results, great information. I will incorporate GO PRO into developing my team's success !
  • juanfernandogutierrez
his sounds easy, but sometimes after the people join the business, they begin with the excuses of time!; how can we fight this?
  • Small Success's and little achievments add up to "long term" success
  • sjwilliamson
Love Go Pro. Lots of super info. Thanks
  • sjwilliamson
Love Go Pro. Lots of super info. Thanks
  • christinaglazar
GoPro is the way to learn how to expose your "new" people .... awesome tapes!
  • Great point! "Quick results" and "small victories" are so important at the beginning, and it's totally sponsor's job to make the right start.
  • Early successes are important, but proper expectations (1-3-5-7) are also big
  • janetrajala
Yes, small successes in the beginning to help keep excitment alive and spirits up.
  • When the results they produce move them closer to their goals the advantage of working the program is solidified. If someone wanted an extra $1000 their first month in the program what they do they have to do for that to happen? How many will they need to sponsor? How many need to see the program for that to happen and most important, how many will they need to invite for those numbers to likely occur. How they relate to the task and how I relate to their reaction is where I need more work.

Listening to GoPro an hour a day each morning is a remarkable experience. I have discovered the impact on my mood is positive and the connections I make over the rest of the day feels like dancing compared to walking through cement without the program.
  • Agree. Something to build their belief that this "can" work for them
  • Matt Genet
Early successes and listen to Go Pro. I love Go Pro, now I just need to listen to it in repetition so I get more of it.
  • Been there, done that. In the beginning, I was one who said, "they are big boys and girls, they can figure it out...I had to." Since Go Pro, I have a new attitude, my team has a new attitude and we are becoming Network Marketing Professionals. If I knew then what I know now...but then I wouldn't have all those great stories, right?

    Thank you Eric
  • Donna Wheaton
Retention = results. If the person sees some kind of success to keep them working to build quickly.
  • bartonmurray
quick results-small success, that is totally true, thanks
  • Marion
    Great tips - Thank You
And I agree GO PRO is a must for all new people
  • Thats one of my first training with my new people. Is to get me in front of their people. They do not have to say anything just introduce me.
  • kgoren
Absolutely excellent point. If they don't make that first small victory early on, the chances of loosing them forever is high. Been there, done that!! It's our job to help them succeed.
  • Episode #314:

Very Good points Eric, As in anything having a little success in the beginning makes the extra effort more bearable down the line. It's like in golf. One good shot, drive or put makes you more likely to come back and play again.

    -BB
  • ritafulton
Very true. I have and use my GoPro set daily, this practice as become a daily habit for me already. I am working on my team to do the same. The old Rita would go out and purchase GoPro for the team; however, I have learned that unless they are invested in their success, too, buying the program will not ensure they use it. Today's message works in order to get them invested! Great stuff!

    Thanks Eric
  • ericworre
I like the new Rita! :)
  • ritafulton
    Good Sunday Morning to All,

Eric, I need to know if my contribution to the Starkey Foundation was received. I was in the middle of emergency trip when your "Open Your Hearts" email was delivered and did not give donation until either late Monday 31 evening or early Tuesday, June 1. I used the link sent in the email, got all the way to the blue screen requesting that I update my donation, I did that and did not get confirmation receipt, so I did it a second time to make sure donation sent and again no confirmation. I did not give this much thought, my intent was to donate $200.00 so now we have $200.00 twice I'm thinking. In checking with my banking this Friday, June 4 two charges show up as donations but to an International LTD Fleet company?! What I have learned so far is that the two charges came through for two small fleets of car rentals in the UK?! I'm thinking this has nothing to do with the Starkey Foundation donations; however, my concern is did Starkey get my donations? I have a team of ID Theft folks working on fixing the other issue. Did anyone else have a similar issue?

    Thanks and respectfully,

    Rita Fulton
  • germanjaramillo
Very good lesson. I know i have to be better in that.

    Thx,

    From Cali, Colombia,

    -GJ
  • Great point Eric! The first few people I signed up I was so motivated, but did not aggressively take them by the hand for the "quick result". I am now, "partnering up" with new people and really creating a mini-team to get them trained and started. It's working much better.
  • “It is not what you are that is holding you back. It is what you think you are not.”
    —Robin S. Sharma

I agree, it has been said that motivation is the key to success. If a person can feel comfortable and know that their effort are paying off. Once again great video!

  • Steve_Nelson
This idea would have helped me when I began. I had no upline support for the first six months until I found someone upline of my upline. Great nugget for today!
  • brigittapatel
    Makes a lot of sense......
  • agelfederico
Very good tips, thank you very much
  • pollyhulseman
I agree everyone needs to get Go Pro - I have referred people to this program as it takes you through all the steps on how to succeed.
  • Help them set a short term goal and write down their reasons for building a business. Then help them plan the next 30 days to reach the goal. Have them order business cards to help them see that they are officially in business. Get them to faithfully use the products/service to develop their story and conviction. Get them to a large meeting ASAP to create conviction.
  • Excellent tips! Very duplicatable too!
  • ericworre
    Good tips
  • ngocttk
It seems that you’re losing your voice but still keep connecting with us. I’m really appreciated about that. Thank you so much, Eric! :)
  • Jillian
With everything it is that first step to a long journey that counts - a small vvictory quickly!
  • Small victories on your team should be celebrated which will definetly lead to long term success.
  • ADD is a problem... the Amazing Disappearing Distributor. It's funny how excited people can be when they start and they are calling you all of the time. But if they don't have success quickly, it's like they go into a witness protection program, never to be seen again :-)
  • Gakungu
Great nuggets for today, Eric. Thanks!
  • Getting out the gate quickly. Nice follow up to yesterdays show.
  • billrogers
Great Advice! Quickly start with little victories, makes them feel good and realize they may be on the right track.
  • Start with small baby steps constantly and it will bring one to their BIG dreams. :-)
  • Katie N
Thanks Eric! I've been listening to GoPro-it is great.
  • Please, Eric! Just think about translating your Go Pro kit to Portuguese or I won´t be able to tell to my distributors to get it. I really agree with you that we need good tools to succeed in Network Marketing and you are great and can help us a lot. We are just starting with Agel here in Brazil now and that will be great to have your shows and dvds, cds, but in Portuguese, here...ok? I thank you for your shows...they are great!
  • fc34615
A very impactful and incredibly meaningful and truthful message.
    Thank you, Eric.

  • Cee_G
Good advice, not just for the new person, but if we need a jump start for us.
  • Kjell Englund
I like that. Small Victories can do BIG things :)
    Thanks Eric for sharing
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
    Good tip
  • randyhendrickson
I would agree with you because this is what works for me
  • Have had difficulty with retention and you are right we have to get better at "those little victories" for our Team in order for them to get some sort of "belief" that they CAN DO IT!
  • Paco_Carreno
I really like this show... I have a question: when your are supporting with private presentations, answering the phone when your enrollee calls you, encouraging him/her, even making public recognitions about his/her commitment, or that huge bunch of people he/she put all together, the persistence he/she is exhibiting... AND you just do NOT hit the right person who jumps into action withing your dowline business, What do you suggest to do?
  • #314 For better retention, help new people achieve some accomplishment
The person who spends all of today bragging about what he is going to
accomplish tomorrow, probably did the very same thing yesterday.
  • peterragg
Massive action and results at the beginning of your NM career is the key to your success. Work out your ratio as Jim Rohn would tell you, ask 10 get 1 ask 20 get two as you get better your ratio will improve.

What is your ratio, if you don't know it you are not working the business hard enough?
    Regards
    Peter Ragg
  • ericworre
Yes, important to track that and also track your improvements
  • Mark_Abrahams_UK
With apologies for, again, straying somewhat from this topic of the day (i.e. MLM retention)....

What do I know? – I’m still a poser, working, studying and learning ...figuring out how to move through amateur status to become a network marketing professional.

My story is that, for various reasons, I haven’t been getting out there enough, promoting, recruiting, doing everything I now know I must do to be the success I know I will be.
And I did ‘get it’ straight away, the concept, this business, the products – so I have no excuses (or, at any rate, I will not use them). And I make sure, at least, that people do not duplicate my mistakes – they will make plenty of their own from which they will learn. For me it is a case of ‘don’t do what I did; do what Eric Worre & other great leaders inspire us to do’ and ‘that way lies assured success.’
I am one of those who just loves learning stuff and I’ve soaked up all the NMPRO stuff and the Go Pro product is simply the best, archetypal!
How lucky are we, who are new to this business, to have all the information we need to enable and facilitate our success, so that we may avoid finding out this stuff by doing ‘it’ wrong, the hard way?
I very much get the point that, even if we are armed with Go Pro, anyone new joining the MLM business must allow at least 7 years of hard work before we can expect to know what Mr Eric Worre knows and so clearly explains and demonstrates. And it still comes down to ‘us’ being the person who, face to face, either with an individual or a group, must connect with people, USING THIRD PARTY RESOURCES, to reach an understanding, to gently and efficiently nurse communication and work hard so that others ‘get it’, so that they also understand that we have a better way.
That the way many people (prospects) appear to enjoy a doomed struggle for traditional business success can get in the way of such people being open to change and a different NMPRO way of thinking, doing better and accomplishing the success and dreams they seek is, perhaps, our major hurdle. If it isn’t their business thinking that gets in the way, then it will be something personal, family stuff, a bad experience. Whatever the case, we now know how we must be, what we must do when our prospects balk.
To retain people in our business, everything Eric has said today is right on...so I will be PAYING ATTENTION TO SMALL VICTORIES, LITTLE SUCCESSES, LITTLE ACHIEVEMENTS, all for the reasons Eric explains.

    Thanks again Eric

    You're getting it Mark

Celebrate small victories as well as the big ones of your new people. Remembering that a new customer may be a small victory for you as a seasoned distributor, however to a new distributor it is a HUGE victory.

    Yes!

Thank you Eric for reminding us.

Very important topic. I know how I felt when I had a little success at the start. I also regain my excitement when my new team member has some small victory. Thanks Eric

Each piece of success helps your distributor to believe in themselves and this business model.

Agreed, small victories must be 'magnified',
but one also should be an example to the team, TELL/SHOW them that- & how you did it and offer help.
Nevertheless, since some people still think they can get wealthy overnight, there will be drop-outs... that's good, saves you energy for the real commited ones...

What a pleasure to accept your good advice

Spot on Eric. I have lost a lot of good people because I did not do this. But you live and learn. I hope.
  • yes, small victories FAST!
    tks
  • Looking at you enjoying yourself at the street cafe I can tell you have a better way!

    Small victories quickly!
  • Foord Yates
Yes --- it's all about getting into profit QUICKLY.
For example, making $200 or $600 dollars in their first month will get peoples attention and motivate them to keep going, and go faster!!

  • Dead on, Eric. You should have a program on what your new partner needs to do ni the first 48h and first week to achieve that small success, and you have to be there every step of the way during that critical period to provide help, mentoring and keep the person accountable.

    Great Reminder,

The Go Pro programme is brilliant , I have listened to it several times now in the car , well done and thanks

  • Yep! This is a great advice. Fired up and focused!
    Alex Tita.
    Here as promised.
  • A leader in my group and I were talking about this exact topic recently. So true - 1 victory (minimum) within 7 days locks in new people - and it's a great momentum philosophy!

    Best,
    Scott
  • denagottlieb
That was great! Thanks. I hadn't thought of that. Going to have to start applying that.

BTW it was nice to watch a clip without background music for a change! Every clip in the Ukraine seems to have musical accompaniment LOL!

More great advice - in a world of 'instant gratification' - 'quick and small results' begin the process for long term gain!! - many thanks.

Eric, so true. It is "the kiss of death" for most distributors when they are waiting and waiting for that first small victory. One way to offset that challenge is to notice the phenomenon as it is happening and get them into some quick rehab of the fundamentals and into personal growth material.
  • that's why i am so happy with my company as we get large bonusses to help newbies achieve success

  • I can only vouch for Eric's statement on the "small" victories.
I have started immediately applying it right after the first time I listened to the GoPro.
Because it makes sense.... as in common sense.

It is quite an achievement if somebody takes the step into NWM.
I have experienced that reaching out to a new TM and making them proud in a taking small step is great to witness and very rewarding for me as a sponsor.

The "small-step" work-style, I find, makes it also easier (or more accessible) for me to grow in my responsibility and skills.

And that is only one of the many pearls I got out of the GoPro cd's!

    Very well said
  • This is great value for all Network marketeers on the planet. The clock is running from the moment a .person starts, make sure they have a result, even a little one on the first 72 hours. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Erik
Yes I know abouth the 72 hour rule, a customer or distributor/team member in 72 hours. But What abouth coaching ? Building skills and Making them confident so they have the guts to talk to people with pride ? I belive coaching is important :)
  • It is Erik, but an initial coaching has to happen fast during that 72hrs period, for example look at the free video of Erik on how to make top invitation with the hottest scripts - making sure that your new team member is comfortable with this material in 48hrs might make all the difference for Retention.
  • We know that many of our people will quit, that´s life.
Small victories is a great concept!
It´s also important to let your people know that you are in the trenches with them...
As Jim Rohn would say. "Come, let´s do it!"...not "you go do it"
  • carolbarrett
Small victories -- thanks Eric for this great retention tip.
