  • Robert_Bo
When people starts to see their potential, their future and possiblities of what this business can manifest in their life, then and only then, they will move forward to take action together with us. As Eric said, this is the one thing we must do, capturing their imagination. Thank you.
  • Lotta
    Great tip. Thank you.
  • Imagine laying on a caribbean beach sun sea with a G & T? or maybe diving on the Barrier Reef?
  • CarlosVera
Only when you capture someone's imagination that person will find his/her "why" to join you..............
  • ronaldvandomburg
it's not about information, it's about stories. Telling and sharing stories
  • Yes, The Dream is everything is something I have learnt. In NWM the dream is our boss, and what takes us out of out comfort zone and makes os do the things we need to do, to be more valuable to other people..It is very important to find the reason/dream with new people..
  • Susan Johannesson
    So important and true!
  • Thats a awesome tip Eric!

To believe is to see! Thank you.

This is SO obvious when you explain it and yet so easy to miss. Thanks. Been away for a while but trying to catch up!
  • TAbrams
Become a great story teller, allow people to dream once again, and capture their imagination help others believe they can do it. We have to paint the picture for them to be able to see it and when we can tie it back to their dreams that is very powerful.
  • Kjell Englund
I need to hear that, Thanks Eric
  • Mailen
So important, and I needed a reminder.
    Thanks Eric.
  • Kwstastozhs
    superrrrrrrrrrrrr...................ok

    SUPERRRRRRRR...................OK
  • Graham Caddell
First of all, what a beautiful building. Secondly, YES, this business is truly about capturing someone's imagination. Theatre of the mind for sure. Paint the picture for them.
  • Jesus Lives everywhere!!! :-)
  • good point, if they cant imagine themselves having a better life by working with you in your business they probably won't understand why they would do it.
  • Helping others reach there dreams is the key.
  • CarlosLoureiro
The dreams that we can make people see are they're most powerful motivation weapon
  • Eric, Short and to the point but HOW do we capture their imagination?
  • claralondono
SO SIMPLE AND YET SO COMPLEX....Thank you Eric.
  • pollyhulseman
This is such a great statement - I don't struggle in thinking about the possibilities, but I do struggle to convey it to others. All part of the dream building!
  • Whenever someone joins my business it is almost always because we share the same dream. That is how our initial conversation goes. I have a dream that I share with others and they share theirs with me. Sometimes they don't, they like their job and career and that's great. However others want more and inevitably the discussion moves to "how".

Thanks Eric for being such a great mentor.
  • Lonib
Finding each person's dream and hopes is really what it is all about. If you can't get them interested because of their dreams and hopes - you will never get them. They are not interested in your's. You need to make it about them, and then you will reap the rewards by helping them.
  • Capture my teams imagination and emotionally attach to their dreams. This is important and a challenge, but how to I maintain and continue to this to retain them?
  • Michael Capilli
    What if?
  • Natalie Thackston
Ah. This simple phrase has just clicked with me. What a great tickler to use in my own head and out loud to others as well. I struggle with finding the vocabulary to paint the picture or motivate or capture imagination, without stumbling over my words. Very similar problem to spewing a bunch of facts and figures. Barfing information on people is not attractive. And neither is an awkward story or dream. I have often used the question 'why not?' and this one 'what if?' is a perfect pairing for it. Thank you.
  • To change your life takes a lot of hard work and courage. So even if the facts are impressing they wont help you get up the next day and keep on going. You need a strong belief, a strong dream.
So numbers are important but you really need to help the persons to find their dreams and tell them; they can come true!
  • David1pierson
Love that truth, capture their hopes and dreams in your opportunity... perfect..
  • People are rarely motivated by facts & figures. Show them (like you are doing with your videos Eric,) how different their lives can be. Then their own creativity will be sparked by the new reality they want to have. I can't think of a better motivator. Also why I love network marketing so much. It allows people to get their dreams back and maybe even create new greater ones.
"As I think in my heart, so am I" Proverbs 23:7
  • MagnusEdvald
    Good message.
  • seija
    Stories sell
  • Paul
Everything we do starts with our imagination. If we can dream for someone
we can help them dream for themselves.
  • Cee_G
Who would have imagined that this church would be in Russia??? Imagination sparked it and fueled it. Like you stated, we need to spark and fuel imagination in our prospects. And we need to imagine the results.
  • Dylan Cooper
Yes, if it was about facts, all we would have to do is set up a website or do a flyer drop and nearly everyone would join up. People need to be moved emotionally.
  • agelfederico
That is part of the mindset change we have to go through to be successful in MLM
  • Michael Capilli
Put that in your lizard brain!
  • You are only limited by your imagination. Thanks for sharing your views and those of the sights this week. Visuals help paint the picture.
  • This is so interesting and really makes you develop yourself. How do I transfer the right emotions to help people reach the decision that is best for them? Wow, in NM you really grow yourself every day and I am so grateful that I found this profession. In many ways it's saving me from hurt and living an empty life. NM Rocks! :) / Linda, Sweden
  • Pam
Great one Eric so very true
  • When people start to expand their imagination they will get emotions into the business.
As said in an earlier show; It´s all about emotion!
  • REALLY GOOD point of reminder....easy to slip back into info regurgitation mode.
  • Marion
Forget the facts and all the knowledge and only concentrate on how to emotionally show them how to attain THEIR dreams with our opportunity.
Thanks, now to try and do it!
  • I haven't quite used this skill of mine. I use it all the time in my acting and improv world, but here it seems manipulative or something to me. How is any opportunity different if it's all the same dream?

Then again, isn't that what every advertisement does? Every product or service shows you how it betters your life, works better than the competition, and gets you more sex. So, maybe we should be using this more too.
  • Hey Bones, which opportunity are you with? If it gets you more sex I'm in! lol.
  • talya_mitzafon
Face to face, belly to belly, capturing people's imagination. Open thier eyes, give them hope.
  • Jonathan
Tapping into our imagination can lead us to great things. :)
  • Louiemcguire
So True. If only it were that easy. In my business we ask our prospects, "what is your WHY?" which stands for What's Hurting You? Why do you want what you want? So many people are content with the way things are in their life. The "status quo" mentality. We need to dreambuild with them. Stir up the grey matter a little.

  • #353 Capture the prospect’s imagination.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." Albert Einstein
  • Having a story about what excites me gets me reved up and allows them to say what would inspire them.
  • kgoren
Finding their "why" and helping them imagine what it would feel like to experience it. "Capturing imagination" Great reminder.
  • dstfa96
I like the concept of capturing imagination. When I do presentations I will focus more on emotionally attaching my prospects dreams and hopes to my opportunity instead of just presenting the facts.

  • While I am capturing the prospect's imagination, I am also imagining that they will say yes to watching the video...
  • carolbarrett
So very true Eric. Thanks for today's tip.
  • Gakungu
    True true.
  • Cliff Lapenskie
Great point Eric, again being such a left-brained person I need to move myself over to the emotional side and place all these potential partners into the story and let their imagination run wild!
  • Dancingwithjoy
Witnessed that today after meeting a prospect. I got excited too! Thanks.
  • germarl
Facts tell - stories sell !!
  • Daniel Glez.Peña
Hola Eric. Very nice Place¡¡¡ Let´s imagine, We can have our dreams¡¡

  • Anne J.
    Spot on!
  • chocolatelifesaver
Good deal Eric. You are right on the money as usual.
  • KeithN
Here are two simple words to help you capture your prospect's imagination. "Just Imagine..." Ask them to Just Imagine, and that will get the imagination wheels turning in their mind. For ex: Just Imagine how much better you'll feel, or just imagine how much easier your life will be if you use this product or service. Just Imagine what your lifestyle will be like with extra money coming in, and you not having to worry about a job. Just Imagine how many more people will say "yes" to hearing your story when you implement this simple technique.
  • Phillip
"Capture their imagination", very good message, thanks as always!
  • susanclark
#353 - Capturing Imagination - Great thought. It is not enough to just talk about the facts and show your knowlege about your business. We need to draw people in emotionally to capture their hopes and dreams.
  • latachia_2
    Capturing The Imaginaton NMPro#353
Not the facts, but emotionaly tie them to the opportunity by getting them to visualize thir hopes& dreams.
Moscow is a beautiful sity. Thanx for sharing it with us!
  • My job is to capture my prospects imagination. A favorite quote: "People will forget what I said, people will forget what I did, but people will never forget how I made them feel."

So my job is to help make them -feel- like they can dream again, help make them -feel- like they now have new options, help make them -feel- that there is a new hope in their life. Hey, and this is work?? Yes, we have a better way.

    dave sommers, to your success!
  • Futrarchitek
Anything a man or woman can conceive they can achieve. Give people a vision (imagination) and their direction will be more fixed than if they just wandered through life.
  • MarvinTowler
Imagination is more important than knowledge. ~Albert Einstein
  • Greetings -- once again Eric -- you are so on point! Man, you are taking us from ametuers to pros! ;-)
Thanks for your commitment to this business.
  • Aj Penton
Great show Eric. Thats how I recruit. I encourage them to dream again.
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
True, I originally became the scientist but people did not care about knowledge, I said: What is wrong with them?
Now, I see it from the angle you are bringing up in this show.
    Thanks.
  • Miguel Cortez
In tell your story .... Finin there dream .... and have them picture that they could have it.... :)
  • Eric,

I agree with your thought for the day.

I need to get better at this.

    Safe travels!
  • ockaren
A picture is worth a thousand words, helping prospects to create a mental picture of what it is they want most, and how my opportunity fits into that equation! Thanks for the little tweak that could change my trajectory! :)
  • Imagine that
  • Sid delatorre
    wonderful info, thanks
  • Erik
    Thank you buddy :)
  • germanjaramillo
Hey!!! I think today i understand one of the main keys in mlm in this simple post. We just have to use this word after every business presentation to the prospects: Imagine you, what can happen in your life if you can pay your doubt? Imagine how will be the following vacation with your family if you have an extra cash flow in your home? Can you Imagine what happens in your life if one day you can wake up in the morning without any concerns?

IMAGINE IS THE SIMPLE WORD WE CAN USE.

    Thanks, from Colombia.

  • janetrajala
As you have pointed out before, "stories sell". Good reminder.
  • tim and tricia
Absolutely...help them capture their imagination and see a better way:)

    Thank you Eric.
  • genegrass
    Capturing imagination. Possibility thinking
  • Michael Gordon
Yes, I hadn't thought of it like that, but it does make perfect sense!
    Michael
  • Greg Lucot
    Facts tell. Stories sell.
  • So if I were following you correctly, it would be safe to say that if I capture the mind the body will follow. Imagination can be a wonderful thing. Great concept, thanks for sharing.

PS. Never shoot any more videos from that angle again. Lol!!

  • agree! That is definitely a skill that need to be developed with everyone.
  • Capturing imagination- Its the same in Churches, Mosques, Synagogues and NM.. Capture their hearts and minds and you will create believers and followers for lack of better terms. What a cool house of God. Bet it's beautiful inside as well.
  • 353:
    excellent, tks
  • Good point.

  • billrogers
Facts tell, stories sell. this will never change.
  • Yep, that's a fact Eric, thanks. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Awesome church! Love to go there some day ....

As I've heard before, paint a picture with words of what is possible in our industry. THAT will excite our prospects.

    Best,
    Scott
  • FrankMarshman
Yes, And that is what I need to do better and more of. That is why I joined... What If... That is what drove me and for some reason I seem to forget that with my prospects. One more piece of the puzzle.
  • ritafulton
I definitely like not having to be experts at our service or products; however, I still need to work on capturing others imagination. Sounds easier than the skill is to do. I am enjoying the journey.

Have an AWESOME Weekend to ALL>
  • T-bone
"WOW" I guess it's just that simple! I will do a better job of capturing their imagination, thanks for this one, probably your best yet!
  • Jillian
Great suggestion - now to generate this.
  • Amazing sites Eric, so beautiful! I need improvement on this one definitely. Although I'm not really a fact teller, still need to be more cognizant on how the story comes across. Thanks for the insight!
  • aliceflanders
and I need to get a lot better at stimulating the imagination. any suggestions on how that might be accomplished?
  • karenandian
Thank you Eric- Connecting to what people wish they had to what possibility lie with our industry is essential. Imagination is very powerful to everyone and when people can see it in their mind it's done!
  • tomlacey
We need to create the link between their dreams to our opportunity
  • Eric what the heck hapenned to our Portuguese friends that just vanished from this site?
    Have you scared them? :)

    great show.
    Love you all

Thanks again Eric – for this short and very sweet message.

I am no expert though I’ve been listening and learning as much as I am able – applying the VARK approach (Visual, Audio, Reading, Kinaesthetic).
I’m no expert on the Bible either, but in the presence of greatness the imagination is caught. Sometimes, just being there is enough to capture people’s imagination – for instance, with you standing in front of the cathedral in Moscow today’s message was reinforced. But to me, staying clear of religious matters, it is a matter of mind, body and beliefs. Beliefs backed up by values and entwined within our goals will get us where and who we want to be.

Our stories, as individuals and of our business, will capture and enrapture if done right. One of my goals is, this year, to practice and teach, to get ‘it’ as right as I am able. Asking for help is also a way to connect as, if people work in their mind on helping others their imagination cannot fail to get fired up. Even if people say ‘no’ they have to imagine why not and what-not.

And, as an aside, by travel we broaden our minds, learn from the journey. I shall be MIA for a while now – out and about, adding to my very individual growth in the fields of personal development and creativity, travelling the world, meeting people, taking in the sights. And I shall find a way to stay in touch or to later catch up....for, following some of Mr Jim Rohn’s father’s advice which was ‘don’t miss anything’.

    First stop Hong Kong.

    Thanks and RESPECT.
  • Fired Up and Focused Man! SO TRUE!

    Here As Promised
  • Karmo Lillepold
It's true. I start NM because my imagination was captured.
  • Got it!
  • Many believe money is one of the most important motivators. It is not. It is the feeling money gives you and we should focus on the feeling as this is different for everyone.

Money has NO value........except for the value YOU give it. (and therefor that value varies per individual and it can be a big mistake to talk about money as you stand a good chance to be talking about the value money has for YOU instead of for the prospect. Stick to stories and you avoid this mistake).
  • That's true. I made this mistake a lot in the early days.
