Already pass this season and really took advantage of it
  • Seeing those new shoots grow in spring knowing that the fruits of summer are coming.
  • Robert_Bo
Spring: Is opportunity; Just need to be busy planting seed (prospecting); need not be the best planter but just do it.
  • ronaldvandomburg
    good metaphor Erik
  • CarlosVera
The secret here is to get busy (with productive activity) for as long as spring lasts.................
  • Timea Dani
I'm waiting for my spring right now. When it coming I coming to know what I need to do. Thanks for that Eric.
  • Cliff Lapenskie
As I said for the last segment, I am soo ready for this spring. I'm planting and planting...
  • 1. Recognise Spring
    2. Planting seeds - now is the time....
Best results come from being busy.
  • I love this - and if you do not plant enough seeds, you will never have a big harvest!
Spring means "run" in swedish, and that is the same as being busy..
  • Susan Johannesson
Being buzy planting seeds is a great advise, thanks!
  • awesome tip Eric
  • When spring will come, plant the seeds. It can be new product launch or new country opening, anything what can help to grow your business.
  • Alfie
We should be opportunity seeker, because a seeker is always ready, it won't get surprised if the opportunity comes because he is waiting for it, and he is also making it.

“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” - Charles R. Swindoll
  • CarlosLoureiro
never stop working.. very nice concepts
  • mrmauriocrawford
Who would've thought that you can prolong your seasons. By what Eric is saying... The busier you are during spring, the more perpetually you have in the end as things progress.
    1. Get momentum
    2. Build on that momentum
    3. Maintain/Sustain that momentum
  • Spring all year long.
  • Miguel Cortez
Opportunity Knocks..... More and More Season of life.... To plant seeds.. :)
  • karenandian
Thank you Eric - Sow plenty of seeds in Spring - and you will be able to harvest your crop of plenty in fall.

Eric, for me you are a great mentor. Thank you so much !!!
  • margarethockaday
Great, spread your story and spring into action and get your goals of the back burner and place in the forefront. Get busy.
  • Sieze the oppourtunity and work, work, work!!!
  • coltsco
    The operative word is ACTION!
  • Inger
The more you saw/plant, the more you harvest... even with birds in the neighbourhood ;-)
  • Dancingwithjoy
Thank you. I am receiving. I've got to prospect, prospect, prospect....
  • Rasdaniels
    Great information. Thanks
  • turjcxg
Eric, thank you for this show. But thank you most especially for the part about you can be the worst planter but if you plant enough you'll still have results. You give a lot of hope with this!
  • Good message....enjoying this weeks series...thanks Eric
  • 357:

  • Graham Caddell
Have the quiver loaded with the arrows...be ready to capture the moment! You truly reap what you sow!
  • David1pierson
Inspiring stuff Eric... great to see a leader still prospecting...
  • Germarl
As the Boy Scouts teach - 'Be Prepared' - Plant in the Spring -Harvest in the Fall.
  • I wonder how many people in MLM really ever have their spring time.

I had a conversation the other day with someone who approached me because they were interested in starting a business.

He told me they tried mlm in the past but it was a waste of time because it doesn't work. I asked him how many people he spoke with before giving up.

I was thinking maybe 20 to 30 and I was then going to ask him how he approached them.

I just smiled when he told me he did not speak to anyone, instead he sent out emails.
  • Ernesto_Busnelli
The planting idea is good but the soil has to be adequate and the watering must be present.
Did I get too mystical here?
  • dstfa96
I am preparing myself by working on personally developing because I know that Spring time is coming and I will be prepared! Eric I like how you emphasized planting seeds because that is key to achieving success.
  • Once again it's consistent effort. Like it!
  • Cee_G
We need to be good farmers....seeds need to be planted all the time, because crops don't all come up at the same time. (need to keep the camera on a tripod - too much movement - got a bit queazy!!)
  • onemartymac
Take Massive action in the springs! As always a great video. Thanks!
  • Futrarchitek
I have heard this put a different way, relating to a water pump. It takes much effort to prime the pump, but once the water starts to flow it gets easier and easier. The more seeds we sow the larger the crop!
  • brigittapatel
Keep on planting, some seeds will come up some will not...not to worry about that just keep on planting.

Spring is the time to plant the seeds& to get busy!
  • TAbrams
Spring time you need to plant the seeds, over plant and continually plant so that you will have a plentiful harvest. Of course along the way some seeds will get blown away, some will never sprout and others wither away, however when you have major activity going on you will always have some that grow out of control...

Springtime is a time for massive, all out actions, longer days, clean air, allows all the sowers to work in their fields all day... dusk until dawn
  • Dylan Cooper
Great advice today. Don't hold back when it's quiet or only just warming up, in a few month's time we will be reaping exactly what we do now.
  • susanclark
#357 - Opportunity Knocks - Spring is opportunity. It is necessary to plant, plant, plant, when spring arrives. I am preparing for spring right now.
  • The ancients watched the heavens to know when it was time to plant, we keep tuned into our intuition and listen to the inner voice that tells us when opportunity is knocking. Spring is like opportunity, a time to take massive action plant, sow and prospect. This is a perfect time to do a major blast!
  • Liberrylady
So, if we are doing what you are doing, and talking to one new person each day, then we are creating our own springtime. Thank you, Eric. Dave, I enjoyed your posting also and will remember that formula. Good points today.
  • seija
Must be ready for the spring!
  • Am I ready when opportunity knocks? Am I ready to take 100% responsibility for my life? Here's the formula that Jack Canfield outlined in the first chapter of his book "The Success Principles"

    E + R = O.

    E - Event +
R - My response to that event equals
O - which is the outcome.

There are many things I can't change in E such as the world economy. But I can always change R, my Response. For instance, I can sow a lot of seed during the slow times and with a bad economy I have two ways I can respond. 1. I can respond passively by saying -what's the use, everyone is affected- OR 2. I can respond proactively and use this economic problem as a benefit. By recognizing opportunity in all things -like planting in front of and during spring-, and that changes the O or outcome.

The mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work unless it is open.

    To your success dave sommers
  • A parable of two farmers. There was an extreme drought
and it hadn't rained for a long time. Both farmers prayed for rain.

In response to that prayer, one farmer planted their fields.
The other didn't. So when the rains came, only the farmer
who planted reaped a harvest, the other did not.

Therefore plant and sow seed like the rains are coming !!
When the rains come, they -will- produce a crop.

    Success! dave sommers
  • MarvinTowler
Totally in line with Jim's parable of the seed and the sower. It is the activity, get out there and share. I am speaking to myself of course :)
  • Private lake? If you do not plant and nurture nothing grows. Thanks Eric.
  • Very encouraging my friend. Thanks so much!
  • timandtricia
It seems to me that we can help bring on an early thaw and start of the spring season with an attitude adjustment. Going into the world and planting and enthusiastically telling the stories will go along way toward the inevitable harvest
  • I agree focus on the planting not on the birds that may take your seed. So many people focus on the birds that take their seed rather than continuing to plant.

Put on your Nike and "Just Do It!"
  • Marion
    Thanks for that great advice.
  • Michael Gordon
Of course, nothing is going to come to us without due work and effort. I am working hard now, but it's the start of the school holidays (vacations), so it's going to be mighty hard to keep going. Fortunately, at the end of them, in August, I'll be attending our annual European Convention, so I have a feeling I'm going to be enthused and inspired, and ready for that Spring (in Autumn!).

    Michael
  • ockaren
Thanks for the motivation to take action today. I don't want to make phone calls today ... would rather do anything other than that, so thanks for the reminder to keep planting in preparation for the spring!
  • It seems like we have control over the seasons. It seems like when we go to work and decide to plant on a consistent basis, Spring time shows up. I guess the moral of the story is continually be planting and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor.
  • Being busy seeding is good but make sure that you seed in the right spot. Eric's remark that as long as you seed you will get result is not always true. If you seed on barren ground nothing will happen. So you have to tilt the ground (learn everything you can), fertilize (personal development) and weed (ie weed out the negative people). But if you don't seed (ie are not busy), you can have the most fertile ground but nothing will happen. How many people do you know that read every book, listen to every tape, watch every show but never take action?!
Ah well, I do all those things but I do have to do some more seeding. And I am going to seed giant trees instead of a one-year crop. Because that is the only way to grow a long lasting NWM business. But it is a wake-up call that I needed!! Thanks Eric.
  • carybennett
Great show .. Such good advice thanks Eric
  • being prepared for when the growth takes place is a very important point, I've found that to be key for taking advantage of the Spring when it comes!
  • agelfederico
Numbers, its all about action and numbers
  • I find spring time to be the best time of year. Might be one reason I live in the Valley of Eternal Spring. Planting in prepared fertile ground increases your yield ten to a hundred times.
  • MariaBruno
ok Team, doesn't the light go on even brighter when Eric says it. Thanks Eric, the analogy is great.
  • ritafulton
Loved your analogy and throwing those seeds by the handfuls is better than planning and planning and planning for jsut the right seed in the right soil.

    Thanks Eric.
  • Jillian
Eric you give me hope - its necessary to be busy in the right way. The active word resonated with me this morning. Thanks again for this wonderful start to my day.
  • kgoren
I have always told my associates about the planting of the seeds. But really, really love your analogy of the seasons. Spring time is here!!!
  • Springtime has a special place in all things. It stimulates growth and prepares us for the harvest. Great analogy.
  • connietolton
Needed to hear that - thanks,

    Connie T
  • Faith and staying busy. For the plan is for us to prosper. Believe and take action. Many will not go with you on the journey but enough will to take you beyond your dreams. Thanks,
  • Natalie Thackston
That hit home. Not a new idea, being busy, but the analogy. Throw out a handful of seed, not just one seed at a time perfectly placed (since we are taught to be perfect and correct in our upbringing), aka avoidance behavior really. Ponder.
  • carolbarrett
Busy, busy, busy -- thanks Eric.
  • Michael Capilli
It is a shame that many people only give a half hearted try at business. They feel more comfortable with the status quo.
  • aliceflanders
This is the reason to keep studying and learning. When an opportunity comes you want to be ready to take advantage of it. If you are bitter from the cold winds of winter you might not be ready to absorb the warm rays of the sun in spring.
  • tomlacey
Staying busy planting seed is the only way to grow you business.
  • MagnusEdvald
Good motivation in this show, thanks Eric.
  • Agneta Rebo
Absolutely!! You have to plant in the spring. If you don´t plant "it´s a stone cold fact" NOTHING will grow.
  • Rather than take the summer off, start spreading seeds. Separate yourself from the other "farmers" that are sleeping!

    Best,
    Scott
  • Phillip
Always appreciate your tid-bits. Very helpful!
  • Get busy! No point planning the training if there's no one to train...
  • Hey, Eric, what was happening there with your camera man (or should I say camera Marina? ).
No m,ore wine to that tabel before recording, ok?!?! lol

I am planting all season long, all day long, every single minute, I am planting.

This is a business of numbers.

Don't be shy, because shy people, starve!

Let me tell you a story:

When I was a kid, if we found a lovely girl we wanted to date with, the boys had this saying: go and ask her, because whether you do it on not, NO is guarantee. Chances are that if you ask, it might become a YES.

So, there was this time, when I was on a party (we usualy had dancing parties every Saturday), very shy, but with a huge willing to dance with a girl... ANY girl.

    I was that hungry :).

At that time, we didn't dance like the kids dance now, all together.

Each of us had to ask a lady to dance, and after the dance finish, take the lady back to the chair, or ask her to join us for a drink.

The fear of rejection was awful. Specially for a 15, or 16 year old kid.

And I had my bit of rejections...

To tell you the truth, my rate of rejections were around 99.9%!

    Shame on me.

I understand now why, because I was (and still am) a cute kid, in terms of physical apearance.

But the fear of rejection was killing me.

In fact I had the fear of rejection for a long time, after my 16's, but that's another story.

On our dancing parties, the girls were usually sit on chairs around the room, and the boys were standing up, chating and deciding which girls to ask for a dance.

    This was my day.

    I couldn't fail.

So, I started from the first chair of the line, and starte asking the girls:

"Do you want to dance with me?"

The first answer came like a bomb: "NO"

But I was decided not to fail, so I passed to the next chair and asked again:

"Do you want to dance with me?"

    Another "NO"!!!

    Dammmmmmm

I didn't give myself time to think.

    NEXT!

"Do you want to dance with me?"

    "NO"! AGAIN??????

    NEXT!

"Do you want to dance with me?"

    "NO"!

At that time I think I could listen to my friends laughing from my bad luck.

You know those movies were a guy is being beaten up and people is laughing but he is being beated so much, that at a certain point nobody laughs any more because the resistance showed by the beated guy makes people admire him?

    That was my case!

I asked again and again, and when I reached the 10th girl, I was so sad, that I was almost crying.

I was preparing to go to the next girl, when I realized that the sound of this girls reply was a bit different.

    IT WAS A YES!!!!

    I couldn't believe it!!!!

So I took her hand, danced with her (not very well, because I didn't have much experience), when that music finished I took her back to the chair, and GOT OUT OF THERE.

I had to leak my wounds

From then on, I couldn't care less if a girl would give me a YES, or NO.

There was allways one that I would dance with.

Like Eric Says: It was a stone cold fact!

That's why I find this business so great.

    EVERY SEASON!

    LET'S GO AND DANCE!

Would you girls dance with me? ;)

    Love you all
    Alfredo Rodrigues
  • ericworre
    Well said my friend. :)
  • Mailen
I agree with you. Plant and it will grow.
    : )
    have a nice day.
  • Again so many true words of wisdom in this show. I'm doing the best I can, but I have to get better step by step. Thank you for being the best mentor on the planet my friend. Best regards from your biggest fan.
  • Yep! Plant Plant Plant Plant! Consistently Consistently!
    Fired up and focused!
    Alex Tita
    Here as promised
  • This is very helpful right now
  • Kjell Englund
Spring is open up i EU right right now. It´s time to go to work with planting.
  • Interesting Eric - A great message for me today. And again you make it so clear to us that our work is simple, but not allways easy. Get out there and talk to people. If your not sponsoring, your not talking to enough people. NM isn't a business where you "get lucky". It's pure science. "If you have these scills and you talk to this many people, that's the result you will get". I''m excited to get out there, talking and prospecting :) / Linda, Sweden Ps. We missed you in Barcelona, see ya in Vegas baby ;)
  • Erik
This is classic Jim Rohn, Great to hear your version Eric
  • Even though it's mid summer, I'm out planting!
  • I´m busy planting ..
Exiting times in the EU market now; we have new products coming and an important local event in just one month - now is the time to amp it up!
  • #357 Spring is a GREAT time to plant lots of seeds, even if you’re not a great planter. We need to recognize when spring time comes and take action.

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant." – Robert Louis Stevenson
  • This episode hits a spot. It feels like this one is going to stay with me for a long time. It really made me think and I wonder what conclusion will have popped up by the end of the day. One thing is for sure: It has created a vacuum in my mind which means it will lead to a quantum leap in my personal development.
    Thanks Eric.
  • Jonathan
It's time to get on the waverunner and go make some waves in the community. All about taking action. Great video Eric. Looking forward to summer :)
  • Miguel Cortez
It the season to get to work..... :)
  • Spring is FUN!

College is when I planted a lot of seed.
  • U will reap the rewards when your children that you didn't know you had come knocking on your door. ;-)
