Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day for us to be thankful for what we have—our family, our friends, our career, our lives. And no matter if you are somewhere that celebrates Thanksgiving or not, it is important to remember what you are thankful for in your life.
Soon, the holidays are going to make everything crazy. There are meals that have to be cooked, decorations have to go up, your shopping list is pages long, maybe you’re travelling, maybe you have to prepare your house for guests. The tasks are endless. In the U.S., we kick off the holiday season with some shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I will even have a very special 4-day only sale starting tomorrow that you don’t want to miss!
And throughout all of this you still have to keep your business open. Keep the lines of communication open, keep forming new contacts, keep sharing your opportunity with others, keep pushing forward. It can be exhausting.
So, before all of that craziness starts, I want you to stop and pause this Thanksgiving Day. Ask yourself this question: What are you grateful for?
What are you grateful for? Don’t think about where you want to go or what you still have to do. What are you grateful for in your life right now? Is it your family, your friends, your business, your lifestyle? Sit down for a few minutes and just think about everything you’re grateful for.
I Have a Challenge for You
Over the next week, call ten people in your organization and tell them how grateful you are for them. So much during the year, and especially during the craziness of the holidays, we can forget about the human element of our organization. We forget that we are in the people business and our organization is made up of people. People you developed relationships with, people you recruited, people who recruited you.
So, call ten people, reconnect with ten people. And tell them how grateful you are for them. Thank them for working with you, for spending time with you, for believing in you enough to join the organization, for bringing you into such a great organization, for inspiring you to be better.
Trust me, this will make your day. You will enjoy it.
My wish for you this Thanksgiving, is that you take the time to stop and remember what and who you are grateful for.
I’ll tell you right now, I am thankful for Network Marketing and the amazing opportunities the profession has given me. Most importantly, I am grateful for you. Grateful that you have become my friends and have joined me in this wonderful profession. You are some of the finest people in the world!
