If you know me, you’ll agree I talk A LOT about changing your mindset to boost your confidence. But there’s another guaranteed way to gain confidence that I’ll disclose shortly. First, think about the characteristics of a confident person. Would you agree they:
- Have poise, talking and walking with a certainty
- Establish and maintain eye contact
- They’re true to themselves, not sacrificing their personal beliefs
- Keep a level head
- Stand up for others
- “Know their stuff”
Focus on that last bullet point. Do confident people instinctively know everything? Of course not. Confident people didn’t get that way by accident, they had to work at it, and a huge part of that was building their skillset.
Have you ever been turned down for a job or opportunity because your knowledge and skills weren’t current or relevant? It’s a scary feeling, isn’t it? With every meeting you hold, every person you talk to, or class you take, you’ll gain even more confidence … which ignites action … which is ultimately how you grow your business.
