Imagine the Possibilities
If you want to accelerate your growth and success, then follow an old principle that has worked for me and many top earners. This principle is the most powerful force on earth—your imagination.
Most people misuse their imagination. They let it go to the negative side and imagine all the bad that could happen. But successful people use their imagination for good.
Pick a goal. Maybe you want to achieve a certain level, income goal, or bring a certain number of people to the next company event. Whatever your goal, imagine that goal clearly in your mind. Get the image so clear that it is like you are living it in reality. What does achieving that goal look and feel like? How many lives are you impacting now? How are others responding to you reaching the goal? Get as detailed as possible. That’s the key—to imagine so many details and specifics that you have a crystal clear mental picture.
Once you do that, go about your life. What ends up happening is that as soon as the goal is clear in your mind, it won’t be long until you actually get it. Now, it’s not a magic trick. You can’t just sit at home and imagine having a Lamborghini and then it pulls up into the driveway. This works because your subconscious brain is working all of the time to help you make all of these little decisions. When you have a clear picture in your mind, you unlock the power of your subconscious mind. It starts to grind and grind and grind to make that picture in your head a reality.
There are thousands of micro-decisions that start to happen, little course corrections, that your subconscious directs. While you’re sleeping or doing everyday chores, your subconscious is constantly working for you, getting you closer to your objective. You’re making thousands of decisions, and you don’t even know why you made them. Well, you made them because 1. You had a clear picture in your mind, 2. Your subconscious brain went to work without you even realizing it, and 3. Step by step, you moved closer to your objective.
So, the picture in your mind is very important. If you have a negative imagination and picture in your mind, then your subconscious mind is going to go to work to make that a reality. Who wants to put their subconscious mind to work for them, and have it work against them? Why would anyone want to do that?
Instead, imagine the positive. Get a clear picture together of your goals, objectives, vision, or anything you want to do. And then let your subconscious mind grind for you, let it work for you, let it create results for you because you deserve it.
